⚠️ Shizun OOC ⚠️
Turned an old #SVSSS doodle into standees!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Bingqiu and game console pieces are double sided.
Tumblr media
The ENG sign has, "Luo Binghe's route has been unlocked🔓." While the CHN sign has, "洛冰河支线已解锁 🔓." This is to imitate what you would see in an otome/dating sim. Both signs have OOC on the back .
Tumblr media
They turned out pretty similar to the original design. I had to alter the colors a bit because they were slightly too light. The acrylic material was also transparent to some degree, so the black ! mark was visible from the other side.

Here's the (revamped) original doodle.

This is mostly for my own indulgence. But anyone interested in pre-orders?

Saiyuki Animes in Order
With the anime release of Saiyuki Reload Blast, and the rise of new fans, I’ve seen a lot of questions concerning what Saiyuki animes and OVAs came out before Saiyuki Reload Blast, and how best to watch them. Ergo, I’ve made 2 lists here, one list for the chronological order of the events in the animated series, and a second list for the viewing order in which I think it is best to watch Saiyuki.
Please keep in mind that the manga of Saiyuki is extraordinary, and well worth reading as well, if you are interested. I came across Gensomaden Saiyuki first, picked up the manga afterwards, and have never been able to put the series down since. That was in 2006.
Also, know that the animes Saiyuki Reload and Saiyuki Reload Gunlock can be frustrating to watch, and Saiyuki Reload Gunlock in particular is riddled with “out of character” behavior. So, if you would like to skip Saiyuki Reload Gunlock, it will not be any great loss to you.
Finally, if you are a fan of dubbing and do not care for subtitles, the dub cast for Gensomaden Saiyuki, Saiyuki Requiem, and Saiyuki Gaiden is excellent. However, Saiyuki Reload and Saiyuki Reload Gunlock were both dubbed by a different set of actors, and to get a better experience, I would recommend watching those latter two shows with subtitles.
Chronological Order of Events in Saiyuki Animes:
Saiyuki Gaiden: Tokubetsu-hen – Kouga no Shou [1 OVA]
Saiyuki Gaiden [3 OVAs]
Saiyuki Reload Burial [3 OVAs]
Gensomaden Saiyuki [50 Episodes]
Saiyuki Premium [2 OVAs]
Saiyuki: The Jade Pearl [1 OVA]
Saiyuki Requiem [Movie]
Saiyuki Reload [25 Episodes]
Saiyuki Reload Gunlock [26 Episodes]
Saiyuki Reload Blast [12 Episodes]
Suggested Order for Watching Saiyuki Animes:
Gensomaden Saiyuki [50 Episodes]
Saiyuki Premium [2 OVAs]
Saiyuki: The Jade Pearl [1 OVA]
Saiyuki Requiem [Movie]
Saiyuki Reload [25 Episodes]
Saiyuki Reload Gunlock [26 Episodes]
Saiyuki Reload Burial [3 OVAs]
Saiyuki Gaiden [3 OVAs]
Saiyuki Gaiden: Tokubetsu-hen – Kouga no Shou [1 OVA]
Saiyuki Reload Blast [12 episodes]
You may notice that, in my Suggested Order list, I do not cite all the shows as they were released. Saiyuki Premium came out before Gensomaden Saiyuki. However, the reason for this order is that I  believe  a new viewer will have a more engaging time watching Gensomaden first, getting to know the characters there, and then going back to Premium. I also put Requiem after The Jade Pearl, even though it came out first. This is because Requiem is the more impactful and dramatic of the two, and a better sendoff to the artstyle of Gensomaden, The Jade Pearl, and Requiem.
Those are my lists. I hope they’re helpful!

[POTENTIAL BROMANCE ALERT - Bonus: If you’re a DMBJ drama fan, you’re probably gonna like this]
So I finally live till the day I get to see a Xiao Ge and an Wu Xie (from two different DMBJ adaptations) team up in a drama. Better yet: This is a duo male lead, investigation drama adapted from a relatively famous novel *chef’s kiss* You know what that means, yes, bromance galore. (I’ve read parts of the novel, so I can tell you if the adaptation goes along with the original story, the bromance is definitely guaranteed 😉.)
Introducing you: The Lotus Casebook (莲花楼), featuring Cheng Yi (aka Xiao Ge of The Lost Tomb 2) as male lead Li Lianhua and Joseph Zeng (aka Wu Xie of Ultimate Note) as second male lead Fang Duobing.
Probably fair to say, it’s another bonus that these two are such pleasant treats to the eyes *drool* This is certainly something worth looking forward to ( ˘ ³˘).

Today, it was announced that there will be a movie adaptation for Sand Sea (Sha Hai / 沙海), which went straight to Weibo hot search no.1. Not much other info is known at the moment.
— Erm, hello Nan Pai San Shu, I kindly remind you that in the queue there already are Mystic Nine 2 drama, Southern Archives drama, Main Story Grand Finale (Book 9) drama, Tibetan Sea Opera drama (the spin-off we all forget exists…) and a gazillion more extra stories that should be adapted. How about we sit down and discuss a 10-year action plan first? (இ﹏இ`。)

So I heard many people hope that Ji Chen and Ji Xiaobing will revise their roles as Hei Xiazi and Xiao Hua in Reunion: Mystery of The Abyss’ sequel?
I totally get it. Coz I’m also one of those people 😀. Ji Xiaobing is really the Xiao Hua I didn’t see coming, and Ji Chen has been fantastic since Tomb of The Sea.
In any case, NPSS posted the sequel movie’s first poster today (and no, we don’t know anything about the cast yet). I shall not try to remind y’all just how many DMBJ dramas and movies are queuing up in the line by now - I’m sure we’re all very lost 🤣. I guess let’s just do the DMBJ tradition: sit back and wait for all these adaptations to drop down from the sky, without any warning whatsoever ( ̄▽ ̄).

**My second entry for this!**
Some of my favorite DMBJ scenes:
-盗墓笔记2 epi 28 when xiao hua establishes himself as the xie family head
-终极笔记 epi 11 when the iron triangle use mud as snake protection
-沙海 epi 23 when grandma wu asks if li cu is wu xie's son and the wifi password "天真无邪"
---
Also, what should I draw for wu xie's birthday?? Do I even have enough time to draw something decent?! Maybe a doodle??
