Character Mapping
Wow! It’s been incredibly busy these last couple weeks.  Mom’s taxi service is now Grandmas”s taxi and Boy Oh Boy, have these kids kept me going.  Each one of these kids has their own little  power packed personality and they don’t need sugar to power them. Have you ever wondered about the impact another person has on the people in their lives?  Well here is a great way to see just that!

Why use Verse Mapping - Breaking it down
Why use Verse Mapping – Breaking it down
Sometimes; sitting down to read my Bible, just is not enough to truly absorb and mentally interpret truth. My thick head often needs the help of mapping out verses so that what God is pushing me to see in His Word, I can clearly understand.  Do you have those moments in your quiet time where you wish you could go deeper but don’t know quite how to go about it?  Many times, using these different…

How To Get More From Bible Studying With Mapping
How To Get More From Bible Studying With Mapping
Getting all uptight searching for clarity, insight, and a bit of wisdom from your Bible  study lately? Sitting peacefully in the bright sunshine listening to birds chirping in the spring air, is most assuredly not what I have felt when studying the Bible at times. Getting all wound up and struggling to grasp the content shouldn’t be happening. A sense of calm and enlightenment is the hope when…

Infighting? In a church? Unheard of...I wish! When we as church members get caught up in selfish pride we often loose sight of the oneness we have in Christ. Let's get back to the business of building up one another and leave behind the tearing down. #church #infighting #buildup

Why giving up chocolate isn't enough. Ok, so maybe in my carb craving mind it is indeed a huge choice to give up....as I am quite literally sitting here snacking on a #chocolate covered macaroon. Two days before #Lent and my mind immediately goes to the need to give this habit up. Read more on my blog. Link in profile. His #Sacrifice was #enough

Give Up
Why giving up chocolate isn’t enough.
Ok, so maybe in my carb craving mind it is indeed a huge choice to give up….as I am quite literally sitting here snacking on a chocolate covered macaroon.  Two days before Lent and my mind immediately goes to the need to give this habit up. This year, I want us to consider this season and what it means to us and what it may mean to God.
The season begins with…

Love At First Sight
Love At First Sight - orchestrated or not.
Divine providence and prayer, sounds kind of wonky if you don’t believe in a supernatural being – but it’s a good thing God is not a make believe character In a fairy tale.
Looking through the story of Rebekah and Isaac we see God’s mighty hand aligning the events from promises & prayers, to kneeeling camels & thirsty servants at a well, to the servant searching for just the right woman for His…

Finding Joy in the Season of Change
Finding Joy in the Season of Change
I know! I wrote about finding hope in a season of change back in September and then promptly disappeared from the blog by the end of the month.  Not quite what I had planned but it was very necessary…..well at least it was for the maintenance of my sanity.
God had so much in store for my husband and I, and it was with rapid fire succession that it arrived.
We completed the sprucing up of our…

Plugging away slowly through Leviticus, and today was chapter 11. How dreary it is when you look at God's words in this book as just a bunch of rules for the Israelites to follow, but it is so much more than rules. It is God teaching His people how to distinguish between the clean and the unclean things of this world. It's about God's wisdom helping us discern what is right and holy, what is His way versus our way. The better we are in following God's wisdom, the better we are able to live a life set apart from the unclean things of this world. #Holy #setapart #wisdom

In my devotional reading today I'm taking some great advice and moving forward. “After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.—Joshua 1:1-2 WE need the courage that will compel us to move forward. We may have to go against the advice of lukewarm Christians; there are some who never seem to do anything but object, because the work is not carried on exactly according to their ideas. We want to have such faith and courage as shall enable us to move forward without waiting for these timid unbelievers. DLMoody
