When you wish upon a star, a childhood dream came true! It has been amazing to represent my city as Miss Palo Alto USA this year! ♥️♥️♥️ Thank you for all your support and trust me that I could make it especially to those had encouraged so much through ups and downs. A woman can do anything if she put her mind to do it despite her marriage status and how good she is in terms of doing house work! This had been one thing in my life I tried so hard to overcame waking up everyday growing from a (previously) conservative family where I constantly requested by my Dad to take care of the house and make things clean as my top propriety in life, plus to keep myself pure, innocent and clean, and obey in order to be loved and get married one day. I had proved that woman can do way more things than the stereotypes. My success is not based on me listening everything they said, it’s not based on if I am single or have a boyfriend. It is not based on the ability to tackle the housework extremely well. It is not on keep on comparing myself to the perfect neighbor’s daughter in my parents eyes who got into Harvard. It is not about having to be a doctor. It is based on seeing myself being valuable no matter what I do. 🙂Thank you Ciesco for your endless love and support at to our Miss California USA final. @ciescofebrian showed up with flowers and my favorite zebra cow 🐮 dark chocolate sticks 🍫 driving 6+ hours from @cityofpaloalto to our hotel in San Gabriel (12+ round trip woww!!!) to. @sheratonsangabriel 🤗Ciesco helped me so much to get ready: practiced dances at the gym with me; helped me pick my final evening gown, made sure we all laugh at our dance party, voted for me, delivered coffee when I was tried during the rehearsal, driving, helping me pack, taking cute photos for all of us and etc. I could not shine on the stage without your generous and kind support this weekend! 🥰🙂 Ciesco drove straight back to Palo Alto after our final and continue serving as a podiatrist at our Stanford VA hospital in surgeries to help people stay healthy and productive. 🌲City of Palo Alto would be so proud to have such an Angel like you!!!
