RELIGION IS RE-LEISON
Redirecting wounds of shame
Till everyone’s maimed
all the same
PACT
This world
is flat
I’m uneven
You’re odd
Let’s make
a pact
We’ll be
pointy prods
SAVING FACE
A curious little man
his big image disgraced
Jumps on a grenade
to save his fair face
THE FRIEND
the one crazy friend
gives you something the matter
fizzes up your life
keeps from going the flatter
TRANSHUMAN ASPIRATIONS
Aspire to be presentable
Aspire to no flaws
Aspire to be plastic
Be no human at’all
Aspire to be seen
Aspire to be herd
Aspire to be “real”
In the the dig-it-all world
Aspire to be magic
Aspire to be more
Aspire to be you
With a purchase from the store
Aspire to be a-lie-ve
Aspire to never die
Aspire to the heavens
Through the needle’s eye
Aspire to a cloud
Aspire to a chip
Aspire, never leave
virtue-all citizenship
JESUS 2022
Jesus Christ without a disciple
King of Kindness without a kind
They diagnosed him schizotypal
putting down his uncrowned mind
Born unto a piloted kingdom
butterflies flew to suicide
His fiery spirit tore Judas undone
mocked and jeered and crucified
TO MY RED TABBY CAT
Sweetie
I love you so much
Please
don’t bite my face
NEW DAY
Gone are the days
of the May Sun
These are the days
of the June
Pray shall we take
their old ways, son
and burn them
’neath the twinning moon
HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS
Spinning off into the stars
won’t take you to the Higher View
Remember, you, to look back down
At who is looking down on you

For whatever the reason - can’t draw well, can’t focus, uninspired - some days it just doesn’t work. But the magic always comes back when it’s ready. Don’t beat yourself up for these days. You’re not a machine.

Don’t feel pressured to make art in this chaotic and scary time. But this has been a moment for me to stop and reflect, not looking at art making in terms of productivity but in terms of a mental health exercise. .
Just creating with no goal. Only for the sake of processing emotions. It does good for the soul. .
Here’s hoping you’re all safe during the pandemic.

I don't know about you, but this virus has been waking me up to a lot of the problems in the world and our society lately. Problems I've always known were there but never quite got gut-punched by them in this way. In a way I'm grateful for awakening to it. But it has certainly been depressing to witness it all. .
Just know if you're experiencing the sluggish, tasteless void of depression you're not alone. In my experience depression is my body's way of resting. I'm starting to bounce back. And I don't feel at all guilty for taking some down time. I think by not trying to force myself out of depression, and just going with it, the healing process was faster, and the experience of being down was itself not unbearable. .
