Chapter 10: Crossed Paths

Midnight was on the ground, curling up and couldn’t get his eyes to open but he felt someone shaking him. He feels his body is about to give out. He doesn’t have energy to move at all. He never felt more exhausted than ever after passing his first test back at Headon’s floor.

Young Midnight: Nooo! I want to sleep more…

Steven: You can’t sleep here!

Young Midnight: Why not?

Steven: It’s a test area battlefield! You can’t just go around sleeping here!

Midnight tries opening his eyes and looks at the guy talking to him.

Young Midnight: But I’m so tired… Can’t I rest for a bit?

Steven: Go home then and rest there. Midnight closes his eyes again and curls back on the ground.

Young Midnight: I wish I could.

Jinsung: Marvelous! They're auditioning for the night choir, aren't they?

Jinsung lightly cackled, trying to lighten up the mood.
