the way butcher gives up on everything and everyone just to go to hughie rescue. the way he cares for him as if hughie could break at any moment, and butcher couldn't take it.

the way hughie never gives up on butcher, despite all the fights and offenses, he knows that the butcher needs is a friend. someone who is there. and hughie will always be there, no matter what happens.

and it’s just that simple and natural. it's not like the relationship between hughie and annie (by the way, i love this couple SO MUCH too) that has been predestined since the HQ's to be in fact a couple.

hughie and butcher started their relationship in the first episode of the boys, and no one would have guessed that they would become so important to each other. is not something that exists in HQ's, this complicity between them is just natural in the show.

hughie and butcher are somewhat complementary, because each has what the other needs: hughie needs to be more courageous and impulsive like butcher. butcher needs to open up more and trust people like hughie.

they just need and protect each other, and maybe this is the best relationship of the boys.

THIS reminds me so much of CATWS, the relationship of steve and bucky. the way steve doesn't give up on his best friend, knowing he has a chance to save him. the difference is that sharon is not being controlled, and has decided to become a "villain" on her own, which is much more dramatic. sam loves sharon, but the captain america cannot get involved with a fucking smuggler who steals government information. and sam will have to leave her, because he knows that sharon is not going to change for anyone, not even him, and hurts.

why literally NO ONE has spoken or is talking about the TWO TIMES when sharon has flirted openly with sam? i don't know where marvel plans to go with this, maybe suggest a romance between them in the future? or just something that happened but that we shouldn't give too much importance? i would like to see samsharon happening - cuz come on, we all know that marvel will not take on sambucky - but i don't know if it will happen, since now sharon is a villain. but it would be very interesting to see a romance between the hero and the villain. they could explore so much with this!
