madney hc: their 1st valentine's day maddie tells chimney the flowers the chocolates the cinema the dinner lit candles etc all make her nauseous bc of doug so then he thinks long and hard on how to make the day not completely awful for her and he plans to make her find an edible bouquet in her locker at work - the plan in itself is already time sensible, involving a lot of timely sneaking around the place without getting caught by her (with the help of josh of course), but then something goes wrong on the actual day idk transports whatever and it sort of becomes a mission impossible situation and when he gets into the changing room he only has a few seconds before maddie gets in and catches him so he opens her locker and. finds an old issue of the firefighter calendar open on april with his own face grinning back at him. his brain shuts down. maddie finds him like that, frozen in front of her open locker, speechless, blushing so hard he almost shines with it. he slowly notices her and after a beat or two he stiffly moves to hand her the bouquet - still crimson, stammering heavily some sort of "happy valentine's"- and moves past her to leave the room in a daze, but she catches him and kisses him and they kiss and kiss and kiss, the fruits forgotten a bit squashed between their bodies, and then sue clears her throat and chimney has to leave and they both spend the rest of the day thinking about the other like two teenagers with a crush and anyways just like that valentine days stop belonging to doug <3

a/n : eep my first (published) piece of writing! im so excited, and i hope people like it!!! this isn't the most polished, but i wanted to start off with something a little more simple ( ◡‿◡ *) anywhoo satoru is the boyfriend ever!

you met him when you joined the jujutsu high second years aka geto shoko and gojo!

and gojo IMMEDIATELY decided to annoy the shit out of you

but like in an endearing way (that's what he thought, at least)

surprisingly, you actually found him funny, and bantering with him back and forth quickly became your favorite part of every day.

he really liked how you were able to keep up with him and how easy it was to talk to you about anything and everything. no matter what he had to say, you had a reply (or an insult) ready to go.

satoru's a really physically affectionate person in general and he was over the moon when you didnt seem to mind how he randomly slung his arm around your shoulder or how he liked to fall asleep with his head in your lap. (i could tie to this whole thing to his infinity and talk about how sad it is for someone that shows love through physival affection to experience smth so traumatic that they put a LITERAL barrier between them and others preventing all forms of touch but..i wont!)

it wasn't anything romantic at first! (i love platonic physical affection, okay?)

but there were small moments where you felt his touch and felt such a warmth in your heart. you had pure adoration for him [and if you ever caught his stare, you would know he adored you the same.]

anywhoo! you always thought he was attractive because i mean, look at him

but you never really saw him as a romantic prospect. at least not until you talked to him and got to know him. which you told shoko later on, and she called you a freak of nature for it because "usually he has the opposite effect on people"

there wasn't really a distinct moment you can remember where you developed feelings for him. the realization totally caught you by surprise!

you were hanging out with your fellow second years after school, and gojo made some dumb dad joke, at which only he laughed (of course), but you glanced at him from the side and his laugh!!! it was so beautiful!!! like, why are you enchanted by this LOSER right now???

either way, that's when you noticed that maybe that feeling you got in your stomach whenever gojo touched you may not have been entirely platonic. horrified and also a teensy bit excited at your discovery you look away and try to make your blushing face cool down. cool, this was definitely gonna ruin one of the best relationships and friendships you've ever had! gojo knew geto and shoko before you, so if you ever confessed, it would probably ruin your friendship with them too! cool, cool, very cool.

of course, that was total bs, but whatever you were anxious at, your newfound feelings and relationships are confusing, and you maybe (definitely) had a bit of tunnel vision in that moment.

after that (like the smart person you are), you convinced yourself that "well. if i just avoid gojo..the feelings will probably go away, right?"

oh, you poor naive FOOL

first of all, avoiding gojo was no easy feat (just ask nanami)

second of all... by the point you realized your feelings, he was already completely WHIPPED for you

"suguru! did you see? she totally looked at me for two seconds longer than usual today!"

"uh-huh"

"she definitely loves me back, dont you think so too?"

"you're delusional."

"you're my best friend! you're supposed to indulge me in my delusions!"

definitely the type to lay on his stomach and kick his feet in the air while thinking about you

and he NEVER shuts up about you

shoko and geto seriously deserve financial compensation for this and are BAFFLED by the fact that you dont notice how lovestruck he is by you?

so as soon as he realized you stopped replying to his texts like you usually did and you didn't sit next to him anymore so he could lean his head on your shoulder, he was devastated

DEVASTATED

like what did he do????? why does the universe hate him??? ( like he isnt the strongest sorcerer ever?)

you thought you were clever for coming up with your "get rid of feelings for satoru" plan

but no. for days now everywhere you were, suddenly there he was.

you didn't give him the silent treatment or anything you just... kept your distance.

well, you tried anyway

man has no sense of personal space.

"i missed you." he pouts, leaning down and placing his head on your shoulder from behind. "we see each other everyday, thats not enough for you?" you replied, trying to remain calm while he was so SO close to you. "we barely saw each other at all yesterday!" he whines. "i was busy -" "no, you weren't." "yes, i was?" "nuh-uh, " your face contorts into a grimace. "seriously, how old are you?" "sev-" "it was a rhetorical question." he moves from his postion behind you and stands right in front of you. if he wasn't so silly looking, you would probably be intimidated by his towering height.

his face turns serious. "you've been avoiding me." he states, a small pout on his lips. shit, dont look at his lips! "eh..uh..what? no, i'm not! that's crazy talk..." you sputter nervously. he sighs, and puts his hands on your shoulders "are you okay?" he's genuinely concerned for you now. damnit why couldn't he be less likeable?! this was really throwing a wrench in your plan.

"i am..i'm just..uh..argh." you lower your head and massage your temple out of frustration. your heartbeat was going a mile a minute. "i didn't mean to avoid you, satoru." you say in a soft tone. a lie, but you couldn't handle telling him the truth. his face brightens instantly. "i'll forgive you if you pinky promise to never avoid me ever again." he reaches out his pinky. "wow, future me is gonna regret that when you get inevitably annoying.." you chuckle reaching out your hand to interlink your finger with his. this was good, this was normal. you felt normal, platonic, and normal feelings. yep. a bright grin spreads across his pretty face. "although.. you might still have to buy me something sweet to really convince me!" of course. "you're the worst." "you love it!" yeah, you do.

okay, plan b. push it all down and focus on your friendship!

you did really enjoy just being his friend after all..otherwise you wouldn't care so much about ruining your friendship!

so things went back to normal sort of...except for the fact that over the next few months, the romantic tension got worse and worse.

you thought it was just you being delusional when he started holding your hand more and more frequently, freuqently bought you small trimkets and gifts( his reason being " i thought of you!") told you how pretty and cool you looked after missions, even with your hair all messed up and uniform askew. you tried so hard not to read into it even though these things were obviously pretty romantic.

satoru thought he was going insane

"i mean??? am i not being clear enough, suguru? am i being too subtle?"

"i dont think the word subtle really suits you, in any situation ever."

at this point, he was close to giving up. maybe you just didn't like him as much as he liked you?

but then! one late summer night!

the first kiss!

which was sort of out of the blue but also not really, since you'd been pining for each other for a while.

he was invading spending time in your dorm room late at night again like he frequently did. he got real chatty at night. you were both sitting on your bed, and his head was leaning against your shoulder, the soft ends of his hair tickling your neck.

it was around mignight, his voice was low and he spoke in a hushed tone.

"..you know? and then he had the audacity to insult nintendo? like sorry you hate fun, loser? anyways my original point was..." he trails off his voice, getting lower and lower by the end. you turn your head in his direction, expecting to find him asleep. instead, your nose almost bumps against his.

his eyes are..so breathtaking this close, with the moonlight reflecting in his sapphire irises. his snow-white lashes flutter as he glances down at your lips. a silent request.

this moment was so full of tender love while still so quiet. you had never felt anything quite like it before. you nod ever so slightly and softly your lips meet eachother. slotting together like two puzzle pieces, it made something click in your brain. suddenly everything made sense.

after a few moments you pulled back. your face felt hot. it was still quiet. gojos thumb rubs over the back of your hand.

he leans his head back onto your shoulder, positively beaming, he giggled "like i was saying.." he starts again the smile still evident in his voice.

an equally bright grin breaks out on your face. he was not even acknowledging the kiss you two shared. but it felt right that he didn't. this moment felt so warm and so much like satoru. there was no more confusion and no words that needed to be said. you both understood what it meant. you both finally understood what you were.

what you failed to consider was telling your best friends. geto and shoko. the four of you were hanging out and gojo had to leave early for another mission, before he leaves he quickly pecks you on the lips (which to be fair surprised you too) before waving and running off. shoko's eyes were practically bulging out of her head, and getos face couldn't decide between a surprised expression and one of disgust. "what. was that." shoko furtows her brows. "uhh..oh! oh." you couldn't exactly pinpoint what you were supposed to say now. how did you forget to tell them? how did GOJO forget to tell them? granted, it only happened last night, but still... you had assumed he spent the rest of the night lying on his stomach, feet kicking, telling geto every detail. "we're dating?" you reply awkwardly. "damn it!" shoko exclaims, and suguru smiles smugly. odd reactions... that's what you thought until you saw shoko pull out her wallet and hand suguru a big wad of cash. "see? i told you they would figure it out before they turned 25." he chides.

so, instead of working on what i actually wanted to work on ... i did some rough mock up and UI stuff for the pixel game i dream of making

(some sprites are done and copied over, like the basic player character- most are super rough -throw some color in vageuly the shape you need -)

my dream idea (probably impossible espeiclaly for a noob gamedev like me lol) is like a mix of minecraft and stardew with a bit of botw and ww, but set in my OCs world- with a heavy focus on customization and environment/exploration more than making money or something (you might collect celestial silver bits- which are toxic to demons and thus better collected by you in an effort to heal their world and you get rewards for turning it in?)

the Hud? UI? you see here is well .. health and energy in the upper left corner plus some controls which are also in the upper right corner, the idea is to mimic windwakers style of button mapping- meaning that you can put any item on any button you want (only inventory is locked bc it contains all the options)- that extends to the jump, interact and sit actions too, theyd be in your inventory like an item you get from the start, so if you never wanna sit down, put sth else there, dont want to interact with anything and just run around? sure do, never jump? no problem

in the lower right corner is the info thingy, with the big wheel being time of day, the second the health of the environment (the main mechanic in restricting you- if you cut down trees or introduce plants from other, later unlockable, areas it will go down, if you reach critical level too many times Eadrya (blue rough sprite there) will show up whereever you are and kill you (bc the whole idea is that you are a demon hunter who wanted to leave the organization but was hunted down by them for it- so you are rescued by Shargon and put into one of the bubbles around travel gates meant to protect humans from the otherwise toxic-to-humans atmosphere in the demon world, but since you are a hunter, and they cant be sure you can be trusted, you are tasked with helping their world recover from the damage your former allies caused- so if you do more damage than heal it and you do it on purpose they will see it as proof you have not actually left the hunters, which means if Eadrya is the one watching the area you will be eaten/smashed/etc- if its someone else thrown back into the human realm)

below that is the temperature- and on the side is the current and coming weather

(edit: as sidenote, i always got a color filter layer ready for grayscale to check if everythings still readable without color- its an effort to make it more accessible for people with color vision impairment, but i dont think i can test for every single one? theres alot of levels of color blindness right? >o<)

So I’ve been tagged in six sentence sunday!

I’ve never done these before and I’m not very active on here so i wouldnt know who to tag in response (although if any of you are fine with being tagged, please write to me! Id love to hear what everyone’s doing, and make some new friends!!

Since I last posted on tumblr I’ve finished all the inktober drawings I planned to draw. They’re all posted on my instagram, but I’m severely behind on posting here😅 tumblr is great but I cannot for the life of me shake off the awkwardness that comes with posting on another media that isn’t my preferred one. But if anyone who doesnt have instagram wants to see the rest just lmk and I’ll post them!

Other than inktober I haven’t really done anything.. i wanted to draw something for valentines, and got an idea a day before which is obviously WAY too little time to finish anything. And well, then valentines day passed and I no longer had a deadline.. so I didn’t finish it. I cannot for the life of me finish anything without a deadline. (Literally realized like 4 days ago that ive basically never finished a high-effort illustration without a deadline or someone relying on me😵‍💫 which kinda sucks ngl)

But since six sentence sundays are for wips, I guess I can show it to y’all what i drew for valentines!

So heres the concept (which is almost better than the finished result will be. I didn’t manage sultry Simon’s facial expression very well in the actual drawing😭 he just looks annoyed instead of ‘sexy’)

I really might end up redoing sultry Simon’s face, cuz it just isn’t working. I wanted the “expectation” side to like be the baz vision equivalent of some sexy male models slicked in oil and faces all squinty and lip-bitey. I didn’t want there to be a trace of an actual person, only the vision of “hot” so an annoyed simon with a bow will not do :/

Sidenote about simons shirt: eat the rich more like swallow the rich amirite?

I have this dumbass obsession with putting simon in ugly T shirts where theres printed the most ridiculous quotes on. I have a whole pinterest board on it. I tastefully called it “simons questionable taste in fashion”

(It’s all dumbass crop tops and tiny shirts with big chunky shoes. Idk I just love that on him)

hm! I had a painful idea, because I'm currently incapable of not thinking about saeyoung choi for more than five seconds.

so the notorious days in the apartment. I'd definitely have some issues after a while bc I've been ditched by people I thought were close friends more than once in the past.

Imagining just. Finally getting sick of his shit and not wanting to keep throwing myself against a wall if, maybe... he's telling the truth? It's... not fair to either of us to try and force him into something he doesn't want. Finally looking at him and going, "If you want me to go away for good, look me in the eye and tell me. Look me in the eye and tell me you hate me, that you don't want me around, not even as a friend. Not that you think it's not safe, that it's 'better' for me to stay away--but that you, Luciel, don't want me around. Look me in the eye and say it, and I'll stay out of your way. I've spent too long chasing people who don't want me."

But we all know Saeyoung is a shit liar when it comes to his loved ones. We all know he can't do it. Even when he's pretending not to care, he's painfully transparent once you know what to look for

"Look me in my eyes and tell me this was nothing but a game to you. Tell me you were playing pretend from the start and none of this ever meant anything to you. I promise you, Seven, I'll leave and never look back... as long as you look me in the eyes when you tell me you never once thought anything about me... about us."

Saeyoung couldn't.

He couldn't look you in the eyes even if he wanted to.

That's because deep down all he wanted was to be with you without fear of losing you just like he lost his brother. 

There was no way for him to explain that to you, nor was there a way for him to understand it outside of the alarm bells burning in his brain the longer you stood him by his side and he saw visions of you being tortured within an inch of your life all because you loved him… and it wasn’t a sin he wanted you to carry. Why was loving him something that brought pain to others?

In that moment, he has no answers, just pain.

He trusted someone with the most important thing in his life, and that person failed not only him but his brother as well. He doesn't know the how or why, all he knows is that because he did everything in his power to try and do the right thing by his brother, people took advantage of the situation and that could happen again.

He's made a lot more enemies than the big bad that's been waiting in the background his entire life. The idea of his brother suffering even more, and you facing any amount of agony makes him want to run away, far, far away, so it could never happen to you to begin with. It might be horrible to run away, and it might be even worse to face everything head-on, but he's the kind of person who would rather risk himself than put his loved ones in danger.

Even if it means he has to go the rest of his life without ever knowing the love he wants. 

Do you want to be the only problem with that plan? 

The only problem with that plan is that no matter how much he tries to lie to your face, he can never lie good enough to make you believe that he wants to run away. You see right through him and that's the scariest part.

He wants somebody to see him for who he is, but when somebody sees who he is, they see all of the pieces, not just the parts he would rather have on display. If you can love him like that, he knows he won't be able to leave you behind, but if you get hurt, how can he live with himself? He can't... he knows he can't. So, be bounces back and forth, lying through his teeth until he realizes he can't run away no matter how much he wants to.

But until the moment he decides he's ready to admit what he wants, you will see nothing but shame in his eyes... shame and tears. Tears that never spill but bubble up as if they've been there for years with nothing to let them fall.

if you could style each of bangtan what kind of style would you put them in and which fashion house do you think fit them

oh, what a fun question!

note: please take this with a grain of salt, bc i don't really know shit about fashion, really. so this is just a bit of fun, and definitely something i'd love to hear others' opinions on!

namjoon — i love namjoon in more traditionally-feminine clothes. the juxtaposition of his size (tall, thick thighs, etc.) with the skirts/flowy pants and tops just... really works for me.

so, for namjoon: moschino. for better or worse, they're always doing something different, and i think they could actually do something really inspired and cool with namjoon's vibe. even though i get the vision, bottega is just... so boring to me.

seokjin — hard to choose here, when he canonically looks good in everything. but me, personally? i love him when they style him edgier. perhaps it's because he's my bias, but he's just so soft and •ᴗ• so looks like this really work for me, bc it's not really what you'd expect him to wear??:

so, for seokjin: alexander mcqueen. one of my favorite designers for my favorite boy. there's structure, but it's still visually stimulating. edgy but not so much that it'd distract from the person wearing the clothes.

yoongi — i'm getting lazy with the pictures here, but i actually really like yoongi's deal with valentino. there's a nice balance of soft and bold which really works for him and fits with his vibe. however, i think we can (and should) make yoongi weirder.

so, for yoongi: ichiro suzuki. very, very weird (affectionate) clothes, and i think he'd be super into it. also highly inspired by art, so maybe yoongi and namjoon will be sharing clothes.

hobi — already a fashion icon. doesn't need any input at all from me, but i'm a mission to make bts as weird as possible, so we're going full send with this choice. hobi can truly pull off anything, and someone with that kind of power should embrace it.

so, for hobi: moncler. there's a little bit of everything here. there are more traditional options, and then there's weird as fuck, and i think he'd have a lot of fun working with that kind of scope.

jimin — another one that doesn't need my help, but alas, here i am to offer it anyway. gender seems to be a bit of a spot for jimin, so i'm hesitant to push him too far in either direction. something right in the middle would be my pick, because he can already pull off anything, might as well have fun with it.

jungkook — alright, last entry. what i love about jungkook is that he's grown up so publicly and had to do all that awkward "figuring out who you are" shit on the biggest stage in the world. that shit sucks, so he's really brave and cool for doing it, and he says endlessly that all of his members are reflected in him, so that just means he gets the weirdest choices of all.

so, for jungkook: because he's brave and cool, loewe. most people would probably not want to wear a grass jacket with grass shoes, but jungkook is brave and a little rebellious, so i bet he would. and he'd look damn good in it, too.

what i've been trying 2 do w j + s in this fic is like. well clearly they hated each other at the beginning bc s sees this arrogant pigheaded order soldier whereas j sees this entitled foolish d.e. & that starting animosity is pretty intense, although it's a bit more personal 4 s--j is like. one of the first order members he's knowingly met + becomes kind of his warden in a way so he pretty specifically hates j whereas for j s is just one of many d.e. he's encountered before so he doesn't really hold a grudge in the same way once they start working together, although he also isn't quick 2 trust s bc unlike his brother s didn't join the order of his own accord (obv. reg didn't exactly join of his own accord, either, but that's pretty much how j sees it).

so when they do actually start working together j is like. well this guy's gotta prove himself if he wants me 2 trust him but once s does start proving himself he's pretty willing 2 put the old animosity aside, and he views s as part of their team--hence him risking his life 2 go back & save s, etc. s, on the other hand, is holding a personal grudge & specifically does not like j so even when j starts acting a bit friendlier towards him he's still like. hmph. bc while j is like "oh holding u prisoner was nothing personal obviously it was just what we had 2 do 4 the order" for s it was very much personal! lol

anyway despite the grudge etc. they do both mutually begin 2 realize that they have certain key similarities--specifically, the fact that they both feel responsible for the people they care about & would do pretty much anything 2 protect them, even if it's something those people wouldn't want them to do. so when we reach this point where they need 2 break into the dept. of mysteries, they both end up reaching the same conclusion abt how they're going 2 have 2 do that, and realizing that they've both reached that same conclusion kind of bolsters that mutual respect they're developing 4 each other. so there's sort of this truce struck while they're planning s's obliviation, where they still aren't friends exactly & probably wouldn't go so far as 2 say they like each other, but they're also like...the only people who can kind of understand what the other one is going thru + sacrificing (as in the convo in the james pov where s says 'they're all gonna hate us,' etc), and in a way it's nice 2 have someone who understands u in a way the others can't...also s going thru w this whole plan has made j respect him a lot more & view them as much more similar in terms of both being practical (and ruthless) enough 2 place larger goals above their own well-being + being willing 2 do things that will make their loved ones hate them as long as it keeps those loved ones safe. so j's feelings towards s have obviously changed quite a bit! of course now s has no idea who j is so. suppose maybe he'll have a chance 2 make a better first impression next time around lol

And kinda blurry the vision people have from me. You took something from me, and flavored with your energy utself. You gave me the ability to live in a dream, that may never be possible. To live even in dreams which may turn into reality. Imagination and visualization to its finest. But still giving me awareness of what's going on in current reality. You gave me a stuttering voice when for the trouble you kinda "made" me do, well-known that I had the perfect answer to give. And make me a lovely person in someone's life bcs of the power-dynamics, them people be above. Make me the evil villain to someone's who were on the wrong and projecting on me. And make me an invisible human towards the world , and people who loved me but forgetting I was with them. It's kinda staggering when i see this in my life. And I sometimes blame you. Bcs people don't know me, but know what they perceive its true to them, ABOUT ME. Kinda ironic and devious from you. People blamed me for kinda everything, I was a punching bag to certain people, i was the venting hermit who could hear them bluffing about their problems and needs, and a victim under people negative energy. Neptune gave me delusions. In a way that makes you think that certain people are meant this way in your life, and making me prone to illusion myself in certains delusion. Idk if they will become true, but its a way I cope with my life, miserable life. Idk why to do? To believe them, to make me aware more to not fall into delusions of not only myself, but the whole earth. How other people create delusions in real life. Idk man, its kinda crazy.

It gave me love for the spiritual world, how certaion things go hand in hand, how people connect with each-other emotionally, and how their souls interact. But you gave me the worst perception to think people about me. And also, them creating rumors and spread false info about me. You gave that power to me, and to illusion others. I hope you understand what I mean. But still remaining a mystery, a puzzle with missing pieces, hard to pin down, and also a truly unknown person.

You made me cunning, vigilant at the same time as being delulu. A chameleon, truly knowing how to blend in with people, unconsciously or not. Its weird how you work, and so mysterious how you play your cards. You made me wanting peace, but still wanting chaos. Hou made me love light, but also darkness. You made me be aware of my reality, but love my delulu reality. What's your plan? You made me feel like im blessed, but also cursed. U made me a victim, but also a hero and also a villian.

You made me a person full of emotions, sensitivity, empathy as nature. But also people not value these things about me. How unfair life is. I can never know that I have such a great soul, such a powerful soul that instigate people to envy, or hate me about my beautiful energy. Or not. Idk. Addictive, but also a repulsive, who push people away. Attractive but also not that much.

Yes im going to react revenge (its not a good thing because im thinking of it and im already sad. So they are all like on this type of mountain high hilled track btw)

During the race its made to be a tie breaker between reader and hobie. Others are in the race, a couple of mutual friends of hobie and zeze. Ans just friends of theirs in general. Reader knows that hobie is a good person but wont admit it out of competitiveness for their passion. They dont hate hobie as much as they did, but the track they are on is an extremely difficult track that no racers are supposed to race on, stuff easily goes wrong on the track. And it rapidly goes downhill, with how many people have been watching and even joined this race makes it go into pure chaos. All the racers aligned to start, yet last time reader raced on this track it was extre different then how it is now. Something or someone had to have changed it. Readers car keeps drifting but she and hobie stay tied in the same place currently ahead of others. Everyone else is further behind them yet they are also having issues with this track. The curves, swirls, and the height and how horribly tohe track is made. Reader slowly starts losing the ability to even drive on this track as well, it throws them into a panicking mode. This hasnt happened to them one in a race. Trying to stay calm bit its visible thats not happening, the tears blocking their vision makes it immediately worse. Especially since a boulder comes crashing into their pathway. While everyone else notices this, reader doesnt. They are trying to get control back over their car. Reader crashes right into it, its damaging to them and their car. Readers car immediately goes up into flames into where it was hit, the air bags are puffed out. Readers falling in and out of consciousness from the crash as well as having tears in their eyes. Trying their best to get out of the car. Trying to kick open the door, hobie heard the crash and immediately stopped curving to the side and stops his car, getting out of it. Noticing whose car it is, he immediately runs over to it. He sees reader struggling to open it and he also tries to get it open, its not working and the flames are building up getting violently closer. Hobie cant seem to get the door open either so he has to go to the back door and break open the window. Glass sticks to his jacket but thats not what he cares about currently. Reader had already started coughing, choking on the smoke even though its not in their car yet. A couple of bruises will be put on their body from this. Especially since they didnt dress properly nor were they driving properly. A couple of those bruises already show. The cars cramped up and from the crash their legs were injured, probably the worst of it and and once hobie gets in the car, he has to try and get them out in the safest way possible without causing more harm. Somehow and lucky he managers to do that, carrying them out like how a parent would get their sleeping child out of the car. He isnt even most of the eay away from the car before it burst full out into flames now. He shields them the best he can as pieces fly from the car and he has to back away. Another racer pulls up telling hobie that theres a couple of ambulances here. Others got to competitive and ended up also getting fatal injuries. Ones already having to be took to the hospital, number 45 or in other words Gwen. Hobie was informed of it too, miles is with gwen in the ambulance which is on its way to the hospital.

hey can u give some tips for a beginner ambigrammist to refine her ambigrams and make the process easier?

i'll just put what ive learned from others and my own experience (i kinda put a lot so imma put it all under a read more)

1. you need to really know what letters look like

one of the talents an ambigrammist needs is to know the details of what makes a letter a letter, and what strengthens or weakens this reading. for example:

on the right are what i would say are very readable letters, almost instantly recognizable. on the left however are essentially the same letters, but missing the core elements of what makes them them. i recommend looking at fonts if you really want to fully understand, but as long as you know the glyphs, you can ambigram them!

additionally, there are so many other forms to choose from. we're all used to the simple, elementary alphabet we were taught, but there is a vast sea of different forms of letters you can try! things such as style, form, and mutations if done correctly will look cohesive in a design! experiment with cursive, square, fancy, blackletter, capitalization, italicization, the world is possible! for example, here are the many ways to write an r that i've collected:

14 for the LETTER R ALONE. the modifications may be subtle, but in the world of ambigramming where totally legible ambigrams are far and few between, every possible form counts bc you'll have more options at your disposal to choose from. as you see more ambigrams (and trust me, you probably will), you'll learn more about what's possible with them!

2. get feedback!!

the unique thing about ambigrams is theyre made to be seen by others, to be read and gawked at by onlookers, and so any outside feedback means the world to development. let family members, friends, preferreably people that mostly read normal words, try to read them, if they missed any letters, try and improve it. reiteration and tiny modifications help so much, even the tiniest of changes can help. sometimes we may be tunnel-visioned into thinking our ambigram is legible, because we know the word already, we see what it's supposed to look like. but when you get opinions from others, its almost like getting a new perspective, the ambigrammists equivalent of flipping a canvas. there are also communities dedicated to creating good ambigrams out there! (to name some, Ambigram Aficionados the discord server and ambigr.am the website, both of which are linked if you want :3)

3. know the methods!!

there are two main methods that ambigrammists "officially" recognize, downstroke matching, and shape matching

shape matching

this is the more freeform of the two methods, providing more space to do whatever, and thusly, maybe come up with either cool new stuff or bad new stuff. this matches "shapes" of letters, straight, curvy, half curve, spirally, etc etc. this one takes more experience to master, but if done well works wonderfully. heres an example with "greener"

downstroke matching

is one of the easier of the two, and most often than not yields the best results. in essence, letters are broken down into their vertical strokes, which are then "cut in half" and aligned to each other. this comes from the notion that people read the top parts of a letter more than its undersides. so, when flipping, all that crazy stuff that used to be on the top is now on the bottom, becoming flourishes and designs. this is kind of a precursor to shape matching, as if pretending all letters are squarish before actually taking into account their shape. an example with the word "Basket" would be:

this of course, has its downfall in curvy letters like b and o, as these have specific curves to follow, which may get lost in how strokes are made straight. i got lucky here with the e curving the same way the B would normally, but this isnt always the case.

the best ambigrammists tend to find a good balance between the two, making sure both form and style are as optimized as possible!

finally,

4. not all ambigrams are possible*.

*as a normal rotational

unfortunately, jojo, hello, uwu, and many more words aren't (currently) possible just because of how theyre built at words. so don't be disappointed if some seem impossible, because (like chloe *wink wink*) they might just be. you can then resort to different types of ambigrams, or different modifications!

here jojo works okay as a lake, uwu works perfectly and naturally as a mirror, and chloe and hello work as chain rotationals! another somewhat crucial element of making an ambigram work is flourishes. these help hide the modifications made to a letter, almost like camouflage, or even to hade a letter itself. here are some examples:

this one uses a curvy flourish for the hoops of the Ps, tiny dots for the i tittle and the Es midline, and a bit more flourishes to hide them like serifs and extra curves

this one turns a C into a drawing of a cockatoo! the flourish being the cockatoo, hiding the otherwise awkward C

this one's rather extreme, S and e being turned into flourishes. these are then surrounded by more flourishes to hide them, which works semi-okayly

thats all i think i know about ambigramming, i hope it was semi-useful!

Is there any hint Jaime could possibly have dyslexia or a learning disability in books? I think I've heard that it wasn't, but idk it feels like that's a detail from the show that did well portraying Jaime. Idk maybe it's my learning disability ass but I loved that!! But I also just love looking at Jaimes insecurities. It could be another detail that kept him relying on masking/being ultra warrior bc he probably doesn't think of himself as very smart.

yeah the insecurity regarding his intelligence, especially in terms of book smarts, is present in the books too. he really admires the quality in tyrion, and emulates it, often successfully too [saving brienne from rape, achieving things like manipulating shagwell without the methods he previously relied on (force, or even status at some point doesnt work so he has to really think outside of the box, like again, sapphires), tyrion rescue mission, the riverlands .] he can also be very perceptive. he is pretty good at noticing weak points. he hones in on cat’s relationship with jon, he does the same with brienne, looking out for and noticing all of her insecurities in response to her dehumanizing him, and the same happens with loras & kind of using his relationship with renly to prevent the bloodshed in the yard. he is actually just a good mediator in general. that makes so much sense to me bc of his role in his family. he is the only member that everyone likes, while every other party would love to tear each other to shreds, so his specific role in an abusive household is very clear. anyway, jaime’s most severe insecurity is being viewed as a monster. for this reason, he seeks out that *thing* in everyone else so he is not as vulnerable. he can be very good at reading certain people, this is also why his perspective is so popular among readers imo. like he also has an air of tyrion to him, he can also provide a new, and often clearer, vision of certain characters because of his personality & experience (like his argument with brienne regarding robert). this is also just funny when he has such major blindspots regarding other things (romanticization of cersei and sometimes the old kg, though he goes back and forth w this). i think post aerys, jaime really did resolve to not really make decisions anymore and not being someone with responsibility (he was never that interested in power, even before that, but i think he was not that opposed to responsibility, he was ready to be the heir, he did want to be a kg and a good knight), instead, he dissociated and lived pretty much on autopilot. even when he was a commander he was reckless enough to always be on the frontlines and was okay with dying (see the whispering wood). he was impatient and very impulsive because he dreads facing “knots and tangles” (like the horrid moral knot that the aerys situation was, and its devastating consequences) so instead of even trying to think about them he wants to just make them disappear and cut through them. until he cant. for multiple reasons, external and internal. until he has to sit down and untangle them. and he proves himself capable. i liked the learning disability aspect that he was given in the show, it is a nice dimension, and i think he has attributes that i really relate to as well (like how he can fixate and excel in one thing & put all his focus on it, how he keeps saying “oh tyrion would talk so much about history here haha nerd” and then proceeds to spend 2 pages infodumping loras with kg lore, or that one scene where he gets distracted counting coins lol), but i think a lot of it already makes sense without that being actually canon, idk like i wouldnt actually diagnose him (he has no trouble reading from what we have seen) but i am not about to come for anybody’s headcanons

Upon entering the building you went to the Solitary Confinement room opening it to see if klee was inside. Which she was. You closed the door on kaeya as he waited outside of the room. You sat down and held klees hands. "What did you do this time klee?" You'd ask her as she unexpectedly blew another few fish in cider lake.

You sighed as you handed her a few food and drinks. Before getting up and leaving the room. "Anyways did you guys enjoy the "BottleLand?" I heard eula went as well." "Yeah she did, it was nice and one of them gave me and klee a costume."

Leaving the Knights of Favonious buildings you stayed in the plaza looking at all the stares before kaeya asked them to stop and told them about the relationship. Everyone was shocked as they all thought you guys didn't like each other and only putted up with the other for your jobs.

(I had no idea what to do and I kept getting distracted lmao- I was on this for like 2 hours because of distractions from yt, sorry if its bad).

i probably will not be finishing this unless i get a random spirt of motivation in the future. for those who dont know, this is my newly designed homestuck (+humanstuck) au based off the movie parasite 2019 that i will NOT shut up abt. information abt the au under the cut (THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR PARASITE)

mainly just going to talk abt the character choices just bc the au follows the same plot as the movie

the kim family (the set of main characters) includes karkat in place of the dad, terezi in place of the mom, vriska in place of the sister and sollux in place of the brother. none of them are related, its more of a tight knit friend group if anything

karkat: i chose karkat for this role as the dad due to the fact that he is known to be the "leader" in most situations, looking out for his friends and has their best interest in mind despite his anger issues and trouble showing it through words and otherwise. his love language is defending his friends at any cost

terezi: terezi in more independent although still looks out for the people she lives with, in this au i wanted her to be a bit more serious and more aggressive, labeling her as more morally grey. she believes the actions portrayed by the mom in the film as morally correct due to the fact that she sees it as a sort of way to get equal ground to those in the higher class. i thought this would be an interesting approach to the whole justice thing, personally. she wants whats best for her and her friends in a more financial state, considering the household of friends are in a state of poverty

vriska: i chose vriska for the role of the sister due to the fact the sister tends to be very easy to trick people for her own benefit, being able to twist lies to benefit her and her friends. she cares the least about the friends she has (although this doesnt mean she doesnt care for them at all), leading her to be more independent as well. vriska is more cold, and more snaky than the other people in the household

sollux: as the brother figure i thought sollux would be the best fit due to the fact that the brother in the film is more so concerned about the rich families daughter (who in this case is aradia. big surprise ik) who he wants to essentially get with. while his wants are a bit more selfish in this case, he figures he can try to make this a better thing for his group of friends rather than just himself considering the situation their household in being put in

the park family (the rich family) has more of a role that i couldnt really pinpoint character wise? some of these can be replaced with other characters, which also goes for the maid and her husband as well. i just chose these characters personally to fit my vision, others are allowed to modify them as you wish!

kanaya + rose: these are the parents, theyre both a married couple and the household is known as the lalonde-maryam residence. kanaya in this au is far more different than the wife from the family, while the wife was more clueless, kanaya is just more trusting. she suspects something is going on but doubts herself in the fact that she thinks shes doing the right thing for her family, ultimately believing the lies of the friend group household. rose is more skeptical as well, usually having kanaya be the one to tell her to not worry as much because kanaya thinks the extra help could benefit their family

the little boy and daughter are replaced with roxy (little boy (girl in this case)) and aradia due to the fact that there... wasnt really anything i could go off of since the characters in the film lack the screentime to really show character development or a major personality. these are essentially just fill in roles and can be changed in the future

the maid and her husband are nepeta and equius (bc i am soooo normal abt them /lie) (these characters can also be changed if wanted)

nepeta: as the maid, nepeta is very sweet and compliant, usually very caring of the family and values the job more than anything due to the fact of her and equius' living situation. she feels bad having to use the rich family for selfish reasons, but ultimately she has to do whats best for her and equius for them to survive and she doesnt want anything coming inbetween them or to take away what they fought to have in the first place

equius: as the husband, he has a sort of unspecified condition or illness that needs treatment and is unable to work and is mostly bedridden. the specifics are unknown as of now. the illness he has causes him to be more aloof although able to defend himself and nepeta. spending so much time in an isolated place also caused him to be more mentally unstable as a result, again, specifics are for the most part unknown

Hello there! I am alive!

Health issues kicked my butt last year, hence my not updating (or continuing) this challenge in a really disappointingly long time. But, the fog seems to be clearing, and I am once again able to focus on things I enjoy, so I am very happy to get back into this.

Entries 7 - 10 of my Star Wars Legends challenge are Dawn of the Jedi: Force Storm issues #2 - 5, written by John Ostrander and art by Jan Duursema, Dan Parsons, and Wes Dzioba. All four issues take place in 25,793 BBY, and were released in 2012.

Issue #2 introduces (who I assume will be) our main cast of characters from here on out - Shae Koda, Tasha Ryo, and Sek'nos Rath, all three Je'daii Journeyers from Tython.

Is it just me or do all three of them have maaaaaajor OT3 energy. I desperately need to see the three of them… er, kriff. And as I am assuming this is not going to happen on page, I WILL be turning to AO3 when I am done reading this series and y'all had better not let me down.

Willing to extend that to OT4 and let Xesh in on the kriffing as well.

(This part of the post is not getting posted on instagram xD for the most part what I post there and post here will be the same but people I know follow me on instagram xD containing the horny posting to tumblr for now bc I am not brave enough to… the mixed metaphor that popped into my head was "put my pussy where my mouth is" but that sounds like a physical impossibility and now I've gotten confused and distracted.)

Aaaaaaanyway.

Sexual tension between Shae, Tasha, and Sek'nos is palpable. All three having a tense force vision about a mysterious, dangerous bad boy dark force user? I am restraining myself from looking on Ao3 until I've finished reading this arc to avoid spoilers, but y'all I am going to be so kriffing mad if you disappoint me on the fic front. PLEASE tell me there is fic here. I DON'T want to be the one who has to write it.

For the most part, I am engaged with the three (four if you count Xesh) main characters. Their dynamic is engaging (yes, beyond just sexy lmao) and each of them are interesting on their own as well. I am looking forward to seeing them continue to develop over the course of the series.

Then, let's see. Things that annoyed me...

Boob armor is always annoying. Jedi Emma Frost has some incredible shoulder armor but the boob top is sigh. She must be using the Force to keep her titties from shooting out the gaping hole in her shirt. Like. I love good cleavage as much as the next bisexual, but c'mon, man.

On the other end for costumes that make me happy, I'm in love with Tasha's look. It is one of the few not over-the-top sexualized twi'lek costumes I can think of, and that is a breath of fresh air on top of just being a really cool skirt that I would absolutely wear.

I think that's it for now. Hope to read more of the series this week and will continue to update as I go! I might start posting reactions as I read here? Not sure yet. Sometimes it can be fun but sometimes it can distract from the actual reading xD
