From a distance, warblers can appear drab and unenticing. In fact, in without closer inspection they all seem brown or grey in color. But take a few moments to get a better look and many are spectacularly beautiful, like this prothonotary warbler. Getting the chance to get a closer look? Well, that can take some skill. Knowing where to look is half the battle.
Magic in the Marsh U8A0653 by Daniel D'Auria

There is magic hidden in those salt marshes. Especially at sunrise, when long shadows and misty fog hangs over the dew-drenched, coarse grasses. Birds like this Yellowlegs, hunt along the muddy waters in search of prey. It’s still early in the season and biting insects have yet to make their debut. This makes a visit so much more pleasant and relaxed.
