Request if that's okay? I can imagine Takao and Murasakibara both being little shits to their fem!s/o who is minding their business by undoing their bra under their shirt multiple times during the day and walking away like it wasn't them lol

little shit plays it off so well too. you’ll be hunched over doing work, or something, and he comes up to rub your back soothingly like, “don’t worry, pretty girl, you got this.” and just as your shoulders relax you feel the support in your chest release and hear him giggling to himself. like such:
midterms suck. college makes you tired and confused and sends your emotions into a repetitive 12 week rollercoaster. your mind is wack right now and you’re pretty sure you’ve been reviewing the same sentence for ten minutes.
you think you hear your boyfriend coming into the room, and when you feel a warm hand smooth across your shoulder, you feel relieved.
“i hate this.” you mumble.
“i know, pretty girl.” his fingers start tracing soothing patterns across your back. “you work so hard, let me help you relax.”
you fall back into his comforting touch, closing your eyes and finally feeling a moment of content when you hear the familiar click and feel the release of your boobs.
the mischievous giggle of your boyfriend makes your eyebrows scrunch up for a second before you hear his feet running away like a child.
you should be annoyed. he tricks you in the middle of a stressful study session just to get your bra off, but his stupid giggle is just so contagious that you can’t help but laugh as well.

—murasakibara
literally hate him (not really). but he does this shit in public. it’s the best way to get you to stop talking to people and give him all your attention. sure, it’s because you’re pinching his ears to reprimand him, but at least you’re eyes are on him instead of that stupid guy you were talking to:
you usually meet your boyfriend outside of your class. he comes to pick you up, you get some snacks at the cafe in the building, then walk home together.
in class today, someone new sat beside you and you two got to talking. nothing special, just what usually happens at uni. but after the lecture as you wait in your usual spot, your new friend hangs back with you and he continues what he was saying.
you don’t notice your boyfriend come up to you until his hand comes to rest on your lower back and you flash him a smile before looking back at the guy.
murasakibara doesn’t like that. he’s a little bit of a jealous person, so the fact that you’re not paying attention to him even with his hand running up and down your back, he needs to take it up a notch.
his large fingers creep up to your shoulder blades and pinch the clasp. your eyes widen slightly, arms instinctively clamping to your sides so as not to let your bra drop.
“yea—haha—anyway, we have to go now. see you next week!” you make your escape.
and your boyfriend’s triumphant smile quickly falls as you turn the corner and harshly grab his ear. your voice scolds him, but the only thing he could think is that he’s just happy your attentions on him now.

Snippet of Wakana「標/Shirushi」from「Wakana Classics 2022 ~Christmas Special~」
M3. 標(Shirushi) Lyrics/Composition: Yoshiko Hanzaki Arrangement: Satoshi Takebe The full version of this live performance will be included as bonus feature on Type A of Wakana’s 3rd album “Sono Saki e”.
Thoughts: It’s really interesting how different my reactions to these new songs are compared to when I first heard them live back in December. While I wasn’t particularly impressed with “明日を夢見て歌う/Asu wo Yume Mite Utau”, it rapidly grew on me once we got the live footage. Now I can’t even wait to hear the full version. It’s almost the opposite for 標/Shirushi. I remember being incredibly touched during the Christmas concert (almost to the point of tears) but this snippet doesn’t affect me quite as much. I feel like I might need to be in the right mood or frame of mind for it, it’s really the emotional backstory combined with the lyrics which carry this song for me.
「Butterfly Dream」Assigned as May’s「ABC PICK UP! MUSIC」
The first track of Wakana’s 3rd original album “Sono Saki e” has been picked up as one of the main theme songs for the May run of 「ABC PICK UP! MUSIC」. As such it will air for the entirety of May during a variety of TV programs on the channel ABC TV.

I climbed Mt. Takao the other day😆I climbed it for the first time 😳✨First of all, I have almost no mountain climbing experience, so I had to think a lot about how to actually do this and then I had to somehow repurpose my training wear and simple sneakers into suitable climbing attire😂I decided to take Route 1 all on foot👟At first, I was going to use the cable car halfway up, but when I got to the start of the route, I was very to just walk so that’s what I decided to do. I was able to see a lot of different mountain scenery and felt the joy of being in nature✨In the second picture, the mountain in the middle is Mt.Fuji🗻!! Can you see it? Then I came across a rock that looked like a heart♡😍 After this experience, I started to think that I should get some proper outdoor equipment with excellent waterproof and cold protection functions for the future. Strangely enough, I DID have a really good pair of compression tights [Note: from CW-X I guess], they were a great choice. You know, my legs didn't get tired at all...✨It was amazing to be supported like this up to my waist 😳✨ Now I'm really interested in the different functionalities of outdoor goods and mountain climbing wear 🤣I might let this get too far and become addicted so I better be careful😇 Source

Mayblade 2023 Day 3: Pets
It was a bit of a cold morning on that September day, and even though it was only dawn you could see a purple-haired boy, hair tied in a small pony-tail, running down the avenue by the sea, with his huge headphones, strictly black and definitely pop music blasting in to give him charge while running. He wasn’t a sports freak... or fan of playing sports with people, but he needed to vent his constant anxiety somehow, and running worked, so who was he to deprive himself of it. That day dawn was particularly gorgeous, made of beautiful pastel colors tinting the sky, surrounded by clouds that made them even more spectacular; there was only him, the dawn, the music and the adrenaline of the running that flowed in him. He needed it very much, it had been quite a restless study night; it was a bit complicated at school and things were not going very well. Apart from his musical practice, piano and bass, where he excelled without any problem, the rest of the subjects were giving him some anxiety. He was proud to be a Hiwatari, but apparently that created expectations of excellence in other people and it was starting to upset him, despite the fact that his father reassured him to not give a shit and that he should not be conditioned, but it was difficult, considering how much troubles he had from people at only 16 years just to be himself. He didn’t notice he had started to run faster, fueled with anxiety, and was forced to stop and take a breath. That's when he heard some meowing coming from... behind him? Gou took off his headphones and turned his head, realizing that he was being followed by two small balls of fur that meowed even more as they came close and started rubbing against his legs.
Gou smiled and lowered himself to their level to pet them.
"Mhm... they seem to be a bit thin... they are probably left without mom and are alone... I can’t leave them here... they are so adorable." He thought while the two small kittens had already climbed over him to ask even more pampering and looking for food as he smiled even more. "What harm can this do, old Twist will be pleased to have someone to keep him company, well. You little buggers come with me. And I’ll give you so so much good milk." The little ones meowed even louder at the words and the boy laughed "Yes, okay ahaha, calm down."
Gou reversed and ran home again, making sure that the two kittens did not risk falling during the run, but actually it seemed like it had a soporific effect and the two fell asleep.
A couple of hours later, a still half-asleep Kai found himself looking at the scene of his son giving milk to two kittens in the middle of their living room, without any warning. It was Saturday, he had thought he was still sleeping, but instead he was in his running clothes and with two kittens that would have been as big as his own hands in his arms.
"What can I tell him? Should I scold him? If he brought them I think he made sure they were alone and without a mother. Aaah... he’s my son..." Kai smiled, going to have a coffee before joining his son; Twist, their family cat, was still in bed sleeping with Takao, so there was no danger of a meeting with the small new guests for now.
"How adorable are you... yes, yes, it’s really good milk, mm? You are just two little gluttons. This is the best milk of Spa-" Gou interrupted his talking to the kittens when his father sit next to him with his usual cup of coffee and observed the little ones, stroking them with a finger, and then looked at him and he swallowed. "Dad I swear they were following me while I ran and I mean I couldn’t leave them alone they seemed very hungry and were alone so I took them home." Kai tried to talk. "I already called the vet, I asked them how much milk and everything else and later II take them to get checked if they’re okay, I know I shoul-"
"Gou, it’s okay, don’t get upset, if you decided to bring them here it’s because you’ve already considered all the options and besides they seem to love you already. You didn’t have to ask our permission if you thought it was the right thing. Later I’ll accompany you to the vet, however, two little pests are difficult to manage."
The boy smiled even more "Thanks Dad! I will take super care of them, they will have a super happy life I promise you! I will make them be accepted even byTwist!! Thank you thank you!!" He hugged his father and Kai hugged him back. "Come on, go take a shower and then let’s go, run up" Gou did not let it be repeated twice and ran upstairs, leaving Kai to take care of the two kittens with an already loving smile for the two little ones, he would explain later to Takao, Makoto and Dafne as of that day would have been two more members in the family, but not now. Now he just wanted to enjoy his morning peace, his coffee, and two kittens, which unfortunately for him, as with Gou, had already conquered his heart as the total cat-person that he was. He would have explained, but definitely not now.

"things you said when i was crying" Tala/Takao Tala being the one crying ; ) Make it hurt🥰 Fuck him up lmao
you fucking asked for it my dude.
but also i would like to extend my sincerest apologies to literally everyone who has to read this.
The heel of a boot made contact with the base of Tala’s neck, the sharp strike caused his vision to blur as he felt the sensation of nausea rise in his stomach. The man above him shifted his weight unevenly pushing the boot edge deeper into his spine causing Tala to clench his jaw, he would not show weakness, he’d been through worse after all.
The pressure on his upper back slowly decreased as his assailant seemed satisfied he understood the situation. Tala exhaled silently, anticipating another onslaught, however it never came.
After several silent moments Tala moved slowly, pushing himself up off the cold concrete floor, focusing his attention on the figure obscured by the darkness. As far as he could tell there was no immediate route of escape, for the man holding him captive was far more agile and cunning than he was, having clearly meticulously planned this for months.
He scowled, baring his teeth at the figure standing several feet from him, frustrated that every escape plan he came up with was easily foiled. At this point all he could do was wait for one of his friends to notice something was amiss.
The problem was, Tala had never truly learned to cope with the trauma he experienced at the abbey, as an adult he often vanished without a trace for months on end, while he holed himself away and medicated with drugs and alcohol. And while in recent years, as he had come to terms with some of his feelings and was able to develop more meaningful relationships with his friends and partner, the amount of time he spent as a transient had diminished to nearly zero, there was always the silent acknowledgement by his lover that one minuscule thing could cause him to melt away like snow in late spring, and that he should never waste his time looking for him.
Tala’s hands clenched into fists and his eyes narrowed into a glare as the figure made a fluid motion towards him, roughly grabbing onto his face a beguiling smile appearing across the other man's face as he rubbed his thumb across a purple bruise forming on his cheek from where it had been slammed into the concrete.
But unlike snow, there was never a guarantee Tala would return, there was always an implicit understanding between them that he could absquatulate and drink himself to death, ending up decaying away alone in some abandoned building or buried in a drifter's grave, unknown and unclaimed. Leaving his loved ones with questions they’d never get answers to.
The thought caused his eyes to get glassy, eliciting a joyful expression from his subjugator as he pressed his thumb hard into the bruise on his cheek.
“Finally realized they won’t come looking for you?” He spoke mirthfully, he gazed at Tala intensely, his fingernails now beginning to dig into the pale man’s skin leaving red marks. When Tala remained silent he continued: “Finally realized that Kuznetsov will spend the rest of his life thinking you either ran off and started a new life without him or that you’re rotting away in some old derelict building?”
“Fuck you, Kinomiya.” Tala ground out through his clenched teeth, a tear escaping the corner of his eye and running down his unbruised cheek.
“With pleasure.” Takao replied, leaning forward with a sneer and slowly licking the tiny streak of water off his face.
Tala inhaled deeply, blinking away the moisture remaining in his eyes and steeling himself for whatever suffering would be inflicted on him next.
He’d been through worse, after all.

For this week's Takao Tuesday, I'm sharing a little snippet from my fic When the Dust Settles which is about Tyson's first official kendo match as told from Hilary's perspective.
If someone enjoys reading this and wants to read the whole fic, you can find it on fanfiction.net and AO3.
Tumblr media
Hilary’s clutch on the hem of her skirt tightened as the absolute silence in the gymnasium added to the tension that was now floating in the air. She was afraid to even gulp, in case it echoed all around the gym and disturbed the disciplined atmosphere currently overtaking the venue.
The scene in front of her was very different from what she had witnessed at the Dojo, and she wondered whether the exchanges between Tyson and Grandpa that she saw were just a way to warm up for the actual practice that they probably started when the Dojo was free of all it’s visitors and disturbances. She had always known that kendo as a sport required a lot of discipline, but sitting in the audience for an actual match filled her with a sense of uneasiness that she hadn’t experienced while watching beybattles.
Unsure about what to attribute this anxious feeling to, Hilary focused on keeping her breathing stable and her eyes fixed on the centre of the arena, on either side of which the players of all participating dojos were now seated. Grandpa had told her that Tyson’s turn would be first and sure enough, she saw him at the front of the seated line, making final adjustments to his gear as the referee and announcer started to explain the schedule for the day, the names of the players participating and some other stuff that Hilary should have paid attention to, but somehow her mind decided to tune out everything as her eyes followed Tyson’s every movement closely.
There was something different about the way he carried himself in the kendo gear, a sense of unfamiliarity surrounded him when he moved, and Hilary felt reluctant to admit it, but when he finally walked to the centre of the make-shift arena to take his place, he looked nervous. But that was the thing about Tyson, he was never nervous, even when he was backed up against the wall with nowhere to run, even when he knew he was fighting a losing battle, he faced it all head-on without once worrying about what the outcome might be and that’s what had made him such a fierce champion, the ability to believe in himself when no one else would.
So if that Tyson was feeling nervous today, it only made sense for her to worry more.
The referees took their places on the edge of the stage area, signalling for the match to start with a respectful bow from the players towards each other. It was hard to tell what Tyson’s opponent looked like from where Hilary was seated, all she could see of him was that he was taller and that Tyson had to raise his head to meet his eye. At least the opponent didn’t seem bulkier, or maybe it was because the shape of the kendo gear made the two seem like they were mostly similar in stature to her. She knew that to score a point a player needed more than just brute force, but she still thought that she would’ve felt less nervous had the other guy been shorter or scrawnier than Tyson.
Once the match started, however, Hilary did not have the time to collect her feelings, everything moved so fast and the shouts were so loud, ringing throughout the gymnasium and making the hair on her hand stand up, that her fear only mounted with each match that Tyson played. If it wasn’t for the referee raising the red flag that indicated Tyson had scored a point, Hilary wouldn’t have known what was happening at all. With his first opponent, the match didn’t last long at all, minutes after it started Tyson managed to score three consecutive points, making the audience break out into calm applause that she joined in on despite of her mind being dazed.
When the next two players came forward, Hilary attempted to peel her eyes at them in an attempt to actually follow through what was happening this time, but it was futile because they drifted towards Tyson without fail at every opportunity. Unlike his opponent, he hadn’t taken his helmet off while he rested so she had no idea how he felt after taking the first win. This was very new for Hilary because the Tyson she was used to would be grinning cheekily at everyone around him, boasting to anyone who would lend an ear about how he outwitted his opponent, or just simply be in a happy mood, celebrating his accomplishment. But the Tyson in front of her today, sat stiffly in the kneeled position, watching the other players keenly as he awaited his turn next.
Maybe if she would have been able to look at his face just once, to see that he was still the same Tyson she knew under that helmet, that he wasn’t feeling pressured, that he wasn’t too nervous about facing his next opponent, that despite the tense environment and strict rules of the game he was still enjoying himself the way he used to when he stepped up for a beybattle. Or maybe she could have helped him feel better, more confident, if just once he had looked in her direction, she would have conveyed to him that he didn’t need to worry and just put his best foot forward and no matter the outcome, she would still be there for him.
Instead, Tyson moved like a robot, coming up to the front when his name was called and taking his seat at the sides as soon as the match was over. The only time she was able to gauge some emotion from him was when the match started and he struck at his opponents with all his strength, his voice that echoed all around her filled with aggression and ferocity that she had never heard in it before, and while this was better than watching him sit like a statue, it was still not the Tyson she knew, which scared her. But this fear was different, it was not like the sudden rush and tightening of her chest she felt as she watched the occasional opponent landing a strike on Tyson, their shinai clattering against his protective armour with a loud bang that made her eyes squeeze shut as her heart almost leapt out of her chest. No the fear of not being able to recognise Tyson ran deeper, it seeped into her bones and made her question everything she had ever known about him.
It made her realise that he was running ahead towards a goal she couldn’t see because she was still stuck sitting on the bench in an empty stadium where cobwebs spun out of her doubt and uncertainty over who she was supposed to be settled all around her.

here is an ultimate guide to my book reading ritual. it is the culmination of a progress of a few years
i have four different, hand-written lists of books that i've hung on my fridge door and a wall. one is a list of books recommended to me by people here back when i made a post asking for recs. one is a generic "x number of books everyone should read" from some finnish blog. one is a list of finnish book recs from some finnish blog. and one i have manually compiled from a reddit thread titled something like "genuinely disturbing horror novels" or something similar. i only read books from the latter around halloween so it's mainly untouched, the rest i follow in order, no two books in a row from the same list. i cross a title over when i'm done with it. in the tumblr recommendation post i got some "(any) books by x" recs, so there i just write a little x for each book finished by that author. one of my favourite little moments is getting to open my local library's page and look up a new book from the next list that's up and see where i can get it and then either put a reservation on it or plan when to do the next library trip to get it (usually i get at least two in one go though so more like look up next 2)
sometimes (but rarely, actually) a book just is no good tho and i don't feel like finishing it. i generally give it 100 pages to convince me before dropping it (or something like, 2 hours of an audiobook) and if i'm unconvinced i smudge it over on the list like Shame on you and your entire family.
i have three different bookmarks and choose one that best fits the colour of the covers. the better it fits the more pleased i am. i like also just looking at the current book sitting there with the bookmark that fits nicely
i read books out loud, and getting to pronounce all the names (in non-finnish books) is the best part so i make sure to get them right. sometimes i google how to pronounce things. if it's by an english-speaking author, i pronounce english the british way if it's a british author, american way if it's an american author and so on. i read the entire three musketeers constantly googling french place names
i take a sip of water between paragraph or chapter breaks and have a proper drinking pause every 5 pages. i count the sips so e.g. if there's just one paragraph break within 5 pages, i get 4 sips of water at the end, or if there's none i get the full 5 (this varies so wildly between different books that sometimes i'm taking more like 10 sips in 5 pages and run out of water in the middle. i always use the same water bottle btw. i have a little beyblade coaster for it that's got the BBA boys and usually i position the bottle on top of takao&kai so i always have rei&max visible next to me i'm sorry)
generally i read 20 pages a day in one sitting. it used to be 30 but that felt a bit too much. then if there's something on TV in the evening and it's a commercial channel, i read during the breaks so i get at least 25 pages a day which is my actual goal but this way those other 5 are kinda extra, and sometimes i get even further if there's a lot of breaks, and then i feel like i got a lot of freebie pages and that's great
i've had phases when i basically had one physical book and one audiobook going simultaneously (from two different lists, naturally) but now i don't have any audiobook app subscription anymore. i just found that i wasn't really paying attention to any book i was listening to anymore idk. maybe i'll treat myself a subscription now tho since i'm getting some moneys and have a long daily commute to work. i feel like an audiobook with an unsatisfactory reader can really ruin the whole experience, but then sometimes the experience is just perfect and becomes iconic with my memory of the whole book. it's kind of a gamble
i wrote this down because it's A Great System and also because i started thinking "i'm so weird. like imagine if i explained my whole book reading habit to someone irl. they would think i'm insane" and maybe i am but hey i'm 2 books ahead of my schedule this year on goodreads

[09:20 A.M.] [continuation of this]
“hey! gotcha somethin’,” you smile as you slide the paper cup across the coffee shop’s table. “just how you like it.”
aomine looks up from his phone, raising an eyebrow at how smiley you could be at nine in the morning. “g’morning to you, too,” he mutters, gratefully taking the cup from the table as he nods at you in thanks, bringing it to his lips.
aomine wasn’t a big fan of coffee when entering university. he really had no need for it, depending most of his energy on his nutritional diet and an occasional sports energy drink here and there. but when you tugged on his sleeve that first day you discovered the hidden coffee shop – you like to consider it hidden since more students favored going to the starbucks on the other side of campus – he had to indulge in what you called ‘liquified magic.’
you slide in the seat across from him, pulling out your books and lay them flat on the small table. you’d just come from your eight a.m. (yuck) class and aomine was killing time awaiting his ten thirty one. he’d easily be in bed, catching up on sleep he didn’t get over the weekend had it not been for you being his personal alarm clock, buzzing his phone with texts full of emojis and exclamation marks.
it became a routine for you and aomine to share monday and wednesday mornings at the coffee shop on campus. you don’t quite remember how the tradition started, only that it began pretty early on in college. of course, neither of your schedules stayed the same – aomine’s was always pretty similar since he was a student athlete who had meetings and practice at roughly the same time across the semesters – so the hour you were in that coffee shop always changed.
aomine thinks that this semester is his least favorite for coffee in the morning.
“did you write your paper for your econ class yet?” you ask before taking a bite out of the powdered donut you ordered as a breakfast.
“almost finished,” he huffs, “i just need someone to look it over, i’ll prob’ly just ask midorima or something.” when he looks back at you, he watches you make grabby hands for the laptop sitting in front of him.
“i’ll do it!”
aomine’s nose scrunches at the sight of your powdered fingers. “oi, not with your hands like that.” his face relaxes when you bashfully smile, giggling out an apology as you wipe your hands on a napkin. when he hands you the laptop, you place it flat on where your books sit, and you lean forward to read over the google document.
“we both know midorima would rather read an essay of takao’s than yours. and he runs at the sight of takao with an open laptop in hand…”
aomine chuckles with a nod, closing his eyes as he imagines the odd pair of friends in that sort of situation.
the library used to be your place of study; you say used to because you can’t say you’ll ever get used to the ringing of “SHIN-CHAN~” despite how often takao gets in trouble for it.
for the next twenty minutes, aomine sits in silence, occasionally stirring his coffee with the thin red straw, nodding along to whatever input about the essay you have for him – both of you know he isn’t retaining what you tell him because you end up editing the essay anyway.
“alright, this should be it,” you sigh in satisfaction, leaning back in your seat.
“thanks,” he utters, taking the laptop from you and clicks around, most likely submitting it to the virtual portal online. “now that i’ve got that done with, i can finally focus on -”
“your statistics midterm.”
“practice.”
the two of you stare at each other blankly, blinking at one another’s responses.
it’s aomine who speaks first. “i have a statistics midterm?”
you blink at him once more. “yeah, on thursday … kise told me about it. how do you not know about it?”
he shrugs, leaning back in his seat before bringing his hands behind his head. “‘dunno. i don’t go to that class.”
you scowl, peering at him through squinted, disapproving eyes. “so you have no idea what’s going on in that class…” you trail off, voice lilting at the end, awaiting his confirmation. when he rolls his eyes at you, you shake your head. “you’ve got to study for that! if you get below a c, coach could take you off the team. probation or whatever it’s called.”
“tch,” he scoffs, waving you off. “yeah, right. i’m too valued-”
“it’s a real policy, no matter how good you are,” you deadpan. “no worries though, because your dearest friend is here to help you study! my midterms are over and done with.”
“yip-ee,” aomine mutters sarcastically, already dreading the next few days he’ll be studying.
“hey, you’ll thank me later,” you wave him off, crossing your arms over you chest knowingly.
“fine,” he sighs, sitting up straighter. “i gotta head to class now,” he says while adjusting the straps of his backpack on his shoulders. “not before i eat this, though.” before you can protest, aomine is shoving the rest of your powdered donut in his mouth, smiling lightly as he watches your horrified expression.
“my breakfast!”
“and it was delicious, thank you,” he drawls the last part before pausing with a smirk. “i guess you were right: i did thank you later.”
“i meant for studying!”
he stands, ignoring your pout while he hoists his bag up on his shoulders – most likely empty if you’re being honest – and gives you a satisfied smile. “i’m off now. bye-”
“-not looking like that.” aomine turns with furrowed brows at your flat response, making a hum of question. “you got powdered sugar all over your mouth.”
“oh,” he murmurs, quickly rubbing at his mouth with his sleeve (gross) but misses a few spots under his lip.
“nope, still got some,” you muse, gesturing to your own chin for him to follow.
again, he misses. after a third miss, you huff out, “this is ridiculous let me just-“ you stop to stand up and lean up, wiping the spot on the bottom side of aomine’s lip of the powder.
“there, all better.” you beam brightly and avert your eyes back to his, only to realize how close you’re standing. you blink owlishly at him.
you don’t think you’ve ever been this close, much less grazing his face with your thumb.
unbeknownst to your sudden flustered state and the sound of your pounding heart against your rib cage, aomine snorts at your gesture. “you’re really impatient with me, aren’t you?”
hah, that takes you out of your daze. the irony of that statement.
if anything, you’ve been nothing but patient. a painful amount of patient.
“i couldn’t have you walk into class like that,” you mutter flatly, avoiding the way your stomach’s doing flips. you step back and attempt to act casual. “i would not want to be associated with you.”
“ha ha,” he says sarcastically, rolling his eyes. “you’re associated with me by default, deal with it, sugar.”
your nose scrunches in distaste at the nickname but your heart leaps.
“i’ll see you later, get to class,” you quickly shoo him off, well aware you’re now wasting his time getting to class. the man bids you a goodbye - with a tease of avoiding you so you won’t have to study with him to which you scowl - leaving the coffee shop and, as always, with a chunk of your heart in the process.

midorima wasn’t having it.
not only was it one of the hottest summers in tokyo, but you were hanging out with takao way too much for his liking. he found you hanging out with him after school, during basketball practice, and even going out to the streets of tokyo and coming back with something every single time. you wouldn’t even show him what you bought, and on top of that, oha asa didn’t send a very assuring message for the cancers.
too bad! if you are a cancer, be careful and watch over the things you love today, or else they’ll be taken away in a blink of an eye! your lucky item for today is a stuffed animal!
midorima’s eye twitched at the reminder of the horoscope, gripping on the stuffed elephant he brought with him today. he wanted to give you a piece of his mind, but his pride was so huge he tried to push down his feelings. at least, until he heard your laugh in the halls.
his head turned to your voice and stole a glance of you walking with takao, holding a notepad in your hand and laughing as if takao just told the funniest joke in the world. “tch.” midorima scoffed, clenching on the elephant once more. and it didn’t stop there; during lunch you were whispering things with takao, during class you were writing things down in that same notepad with takao, and soon enough the dismissal bell had rung.
as the students of shutoku began to leave, you bid takao goodbye and wrote “water bottle” on the list in your notepad. you sighed in content and looked for your boyfriend among the crowd— though he wasn’t hard to spot. with bright green hair like that, you could spot him from miles away.
“shintaro!” you waved, signalling your boyfriend to go to where you were. you put the notepad in your bag and walked towards your boyfriend, who didn’t seem very happy to see you.
“what’s wrong, shintaro?” you asked, cocking your head to the side. instead of saying anything to you, he grabbed your arm and stomped away at a fast pace.
“shintaro! what’s up with you today?” you grunted, struggling to keep up with his fast movements. “shintaro!”
“we’re going to my place, y/n.” he said, still dragging you along with him. his mind was foggy and in the air, the only thought being clear was the fact he doesn’t like sharing. especially when it came to you. shortly after, you guys had arrived at his empty place and when he shut the door, he kissed you roughly, not giving you a chance to speak. you stopped kissing him and pushed him away, gasping for air, “shintaro, what’s wrong?”
once again, midorima didn’t answer and refused to meet your eye. he was still and in a deep voice, he replied quietly, “i don’t like sharing, y/n.”
“huh?” you said, his words leaving you confused. you didn’t know what he meant by sharing, and you tried to pinpoint whether or not you’ve borrowed something or accidentally took one of his sweaters again. you were going to ask, however your words were caught with his lips crashing into yours once more. in lieu of pushing away, you kissed back, feeling like he needed this. he never initiates this kind of affection, so who were you to interrupt? i’ll get to him after, you thought.
one of his hands grasped the back of your neck, kissing you deeper while the other snaked around your waist. without taking a breath, he slowly pushed you down on the couch and positioned himself on top of you. he pulled away and looked into your eyes, showing hunger and lust for you, as if he was a whole different person. you shivered at the sight of this, not knowing if it was excitement from the sudden affection or worry from knowing that something was wrong.
before you could speak again to ask if something happened to him, he dipped down into your neck, leaving sloppy kisses along your jaw. he left a few marks on your collarbone and behind your ear while your breathing started to become unsteady. his hands found his way under your school shirt and roughly gripped at your breast, his lips not leaving your neck. you yelped at the sudden pressure and moaned softly as he kneaded it in his hand and abused your bud until they were perky and sticking out. you could feel yourself slowly getting damp down there, squeezing your thighs together to relieve the feeling. midorima noticed and used his other hand to tease your hood, rubbing it from his fingertips.
“shintaro,” you huffed. “don’t tease me.” but you forgot those words immediately as your head grew hazy and clouded, and next thing you know, midorima’s cock was rubbing at your entrance. without any warning, he moved forward, not giving you time to adjust. a long groan escaped your throat, feeling the burn of your insides as he kept going.
“slow down, shintaro!” you cried, tears forming in the ducts of your eyes. you gripped his arms and threw your head back. a dark shadow grew over midorima, and continued to push into you, not listening to the words you’ve just said.
“you did this to yourself, y/n.”
and with that, he began to thrust at a vigorous pace without any sign of slowing down. he rutted into you desperately, his tip just barely hitting your cervix. soon that pain turned into pleasure; you took in the violent pace, forming scratches at his back and moaning sinfully in the living room of his home. he plowed into your hips over and over again, continuously hitting that spot where you needed him the most.
“shintaro,” you moaned, bringing your legs up along his sides to allow him to go deeper. drool was dripping from your lips and your hair stained from the tears and spit. and then, you felt that familiar build up in your stomach, a sign of you reaching your climax. “shintaro, fuck, i’m gonna come.” you puffed, focusing on the sounds his cock was making. midorima dipped down, pressing his mouth to your ear, “you’re mine, y/n. don’t fucking forget it.”
and that’s when it hit you. the reason why he was acting like this was so so simple.
you chuckled in your head, finding amusement in his actions. he’s jealous! you thought, forming a sly grin on your face. “i’m all yours, love.” you were so going to tease him afterwards. but for now, you needed to reach your climax.
and with the final thrusts, you both came, moaning each other’s names into the void of the house. you both took the time to catch your breath, and when you did, midorima plopped on top of you in exhaustion.
“so you were jealous of takao and i, huh?” you teased, running your fingers through his hair. he coughed in embarrassment, digging his face into the cushion below you.
“no i wasn’t. you were just hanging out a lot around him and i got mad.”
“so jealousy.”
“no.”
“maybe i should make you jealous often so i can get railed like this. didn’t know you had it in you.”
“y/n.”
you heard a soft grunt of annoyance and laughed, hugging his head and placing a soft kiss on the side. “don’t worry, shintaro. i’m all yours.” you tightened your grip, inhaling the masculine scent of his hair.
“then what do you keep writing in that notepad of yours?”
“nothing, i promise you it’s nothing to worry about.”
well, you weren’t going to ruin his surprise birthday plans you were organizing with takao just because he was jealous, right?

Tumblr media
living with your best friend didn’t change your relationship as much as you thought it would
the two of you were still clinging to each other like leeches, supporting the other during hard times and in general providing a shoulder to cry and lean on when needed
now that you were roommates and not only neighbors you saw Takao every single day and that came with many advantages
you both shared the housework and came up with cooking/cleaning/laundry schedules that made your joint life so much easier
Takao had decided to start working after graduation while you continued your studies (and occasionally worked at a part-time job close to your apartment)
it heavily depended on your individual schedule, but in general, the two of you had agreed that the first one home should be the one to prepare dinner and help the other one out a little
usually, Takao would be the first one home and every time you came back he greeted you like some kind of butler, helping you out of your jacket, taking your bag, leading you to the kitchen where he showed you that evening’s dinner, and lastly he’d conclude his small tour at the bathroom where he had run a bath for you
both of you were so close that all of your neighbors (especially the older ones) continuously teased you, saying what kind of cute couple the two of you were and some even went as far as to ask when you’re wedding was going to be
in the beginning, your and Takao’s cheeks would flush ever so slightly but the longer you lived there the more used to it you got, and in the end, it even reached a stage where you’d counter their remarks with your own witty and comical ones
comments such as theirs didn’t bother you that much, or at least that’s what you thought ...
a couple of months after moving in you invited some members of Shuutoku’s basketball team over for a friendly get-together and a warm dinner
it had been a lot of fun
people were teased, embarrassing situations were denounced as hilarious, compliments fell left and right, and what not
at some point though Miyaji - the club’s former captain - raised the question of whether Takao and you had finally started a romantic relationship
it was just a well-meant question and perhaps a subtle hint and yet your best friend began to deny that so strongly that you couldn’t help but feel aggrieved from his over-exaggerated reaction
the evening was kinda ruined for you and some of them noticed it and felt bad for you
in the end, Miyaji actually came up to you and apologized, saying just how much he’d regretted asking you something that was seemingly a taboo-topic
since then the relationship between your best friend and yourself was quite shaky, you began avoiding too much body contact with him, tuned down your clinginess, and even started avoiding him at times
some people think that Takao isn’t the brightest and assume that he’s quite dense, but you knew better
it didn’t take him even a week to notice that something was wrong with you and before you knew it he waited for you to come back home and asked you to take a seat across from him on the couch
“(Y/N)-chan...I’m aware that something’s been bothering you for the past few days and I know that some topics are better left unsaid, but I really hate seeing you suffer because of maybe something I did.”
his words stabbed your heart like hundred knives and even if you’d planned to keep your hurt pride to yourself, you knew that communication was key in any kind of relationship so with a bitter smile you told him about everything, how his reaction had hurt you more than his captain’s harmless question and how these new and yet unknown thoughts had begun to cloud your mind with masses of doubts
there was a brief break during which Takao’s expression grew unbelievably sad, he had expected anything but this
and then finally after what felt like hours he whispered out your name, got up from his chair, and slowly walked towards you, kneeling in front of your seated figure
“I’m truly sorry...I-I wasn’t aware of how much this actually bothered you,” he paused as he took your hands into his own and continued, “all I wanted was to make Miyagi drop that theme fast since he’s the type to talk about one topic for hours and I really didn’t want to make you uncomfortable since that evening was meant for recollecting and updating each other about our daily lives and not a relationship counseling...”
with a sigh you shook your head and couldn’t help but laugh at just how ridiculous this situation was, Takao joined you not long after
after that small misunderstanding, you two needed a bit until your relationship had normalized, but you’d be lying if you said that everything was back to how it used to be
once the imagination of Takao as your boyfriend had entered your mind you began to realize just how close the two of you truly were
him tending to your needs every time you came back home late, resembled that of a worried father-to-be whose wife was to go into labor soon
the way he always jokingly offered himself as your dinner was a cliché joke and sometimes an invitation one would often see in romance series that once again fell between lovers
and the worst for your heart was how the word ‘personal space’ wasn’t even present in his vocabulary, he’d hug you whenever he could, lean himself on your back and leave his chin in the crack of your neck at every given opportunity, and let’s not mention whenever he had trouble falling asleep (which was basically almost every day)
all those small and seemingly irrelevant gestures which didn’t usually affect you were now the trigger for a deep-red blush along your cheeks and an increased heart rate
and it didn’t help that Takao would constantly tease you whenever he noticed your flushed face
.
as time went by though you noticed that something between you two had indeed changed
now his mere presence was enough to make your heart thump wildly against your chest
the only comfort you found was that he himself had started blushing more often as well
you thought that nothing of deeper meaning was behind it and just blamed it on your behavior, but what you didn’t know was that Takao was experiencing the same thing as you
for him, it was as if every single touch - no matter how featherlight it was - set his skin on fire
every ever so small and gentle smile or grin you directed his way, immediately brightened up his mood
and let’s not even talk about the small things you do for him, like cooking, preparing some late-night snacks for whenever he has to work on a project until very late in the evening, folding his laundry, ironing his shirts, and so on...
both of you were slowly starting to acknowledge the other as an essential part of your respective lives
on top of that, innocent and sweet thoughts such as kissing each other on the lips, taking a bath together, or just doing silly things such as hiding from the people outside so that you can feel each other’s lips began dominating your minds
and what choice did the two of you have but to bottle these feelings up and hide them from each other just because you didn’t want to ruin your friendship
it was painful of course, but you continued to put yourself through with it, determined to keep this a secret for as long as necessary
unfortunately, Takao wasn’t made out of the same cloth and was slowly but surely feeling how everything was about to explode pretty soon
and then finally one day when the two of you went out shopping together some of your elderly neighbors stopped you yet again and began interrogating you guys as usual
“Have you two dears finally admitted your feelings for each other?”
there it was, their favorite question, that was strangely accurate this time
you were ready to debunk it yet again, but Takao suddenly took a hold of your hand, squeezed it slightly, and announced: “Not yet, but I’m about to!”
three pairs of wide eyes were fixated on the slightly blushing young man who stood beside you and while you were still trying to decipher whether you’d heard him right he faced you and even took a gentle hold of your second hand
“(Y/N)...I feel like this should’ve happened sooner, but my fear of losing you as my constant pillar of support was too big. Your presence was always something extremely helpful and soothing, but as of late I started to truly notice just how much more it was for me and my life. The sheer imagination of me being without you hurt me more than any game my team lost, any missed promotion chance or anything negative for that matter,” he paused and took a deep breath before continuing, “what I’m trying to say is that...(Y/N), I’d like you to become my lover.”
silent gasps could be heard, but you were too overwhelmed to pay any attention to it
the fact that he’d felt the same way and was stuck in the same situation as you were truly unbelievable, but now that you knew it all those small things you’d denounced as an effect of your own unusual behavior made sense
you looked up into the slate blue eyes of the man you’d fallen for and slowly removed your hands from his tight grip, only to then wrap your arms around his neck and bring him closer to you
Takao immediately seized the opportunity to do the same, he was anxious about what you were about to say so he at least wanted to savor what might be his very last embrace from you
“Took us long enough now didn’t it?” was all you said before you confidently took a hold of his cheeks and brought his face closer to your lips until they touched
while you two kissed ever so passionately and drowned in the liberating feeling of mutual love, the two older women next to you smiled while commenting on how they’d always known and how bad you two were hiding it
after you’d finally separated from each other you gave him your obvious answer to which he simply giggled and out of happiness began cuddling and kissing your face all over
this was truly a wonderful moment, it might not affect your relationship all too much but it was nonetheless a step towards a new and yet unknown experience that the two of you would live through while constantly supporting each other ...

— RYOUTA
You’ve been wondering how to impress your boyfriend for a few days, because he hasn’t paid much attention to you for a long time. Even when you came in a different hairstyle or changed your perfume, Ryouta just smiled at you, then stole one kiss from you and run for basketball team training...
Oh, right. Basketball. You didn’t know a bigger fan of this sport than your boyfriend. Stupid thought of playing basketball passed through your head to show off your skills (or rather attempts to have any skills to play in this sport) to Kise.
The more you thought about it, the more convinced you were. You decided to try and on Friday immediately after your lessons you went to the gym. You knew that at 5 p.m. the Kaijou team would start their training, so you only had an hour to take off your whole uniform, jump into the P.E.’s tracksuit and pick one ball from the big bin and start slowly throwing into the basket hoop.
Of course, it’s easy to guess that it was hard for you to hit into the hoop with your... small height. Certainly when you were born, you didn’t queue for ‘being tall’, but rather for a nice smile and big eyes. No wonder that for the first ten casts only one was successful and it was certainly a coincidence, because the ball spun three times on the rim before falling inside.
“I suck in this game.” You muttered under your breath, again taking a position on the first line on the court.
You were so absorbed in the game that you didn’t even notice how a curious blond-head looked inside the gym because of the noise and the light on. What a surprise for Kaijou’s ace who saw you in front of the basketball board and the ball in your hands.
However, when he noticed your next inaccurate shot he laughed under his breath. “I think you’re a little too short for this game, Y/Ncchi.” He said in an amused voice, entered the room. You turned to the voice and then sighed.
“And too short for you to notice me, huh?” You added wearily, catching the ball.
“Y/Ncchi... I always see you!”
“I don’t think so. But I don’t blame you. I just wanted to... impress you. You like basketball, so maybe you would like me more if I could play with you.” You shrugged, throwing ball into the hoop again. Miss. “Shit.”
The blonde man shook his head approaching you. “I like you no matter what you do or how you do it. You don’t have to play basketball to impress me. You should change you for you and only you, not me or someone else. Anyway, I said what I said. I notice you all the time, Y/Ncchi. You looked pretty last time when you had a ponytail. Your new perfume was amazing too. Hmm, now when I think about it, I don’t praised you for that, right? But know that I appreciate everything you do.” He confessed quietly, patting you on the head. “And now Chibicchi, I’ll show you how to play basketball, because you have a terrible position to throw a ball...”
Tumblr media
— DAIKI
Aomine definitely loved teasing you the most if your height was at stake. He usually made you as his own armrest or asked what’s weather below. They were a puppy jokes that somewhat irritated you, somewhat amused you, and somewhat embarrassed you, but what can you do? After all, they were just pokes and you knew that well. In retaliation, you often mocked him by calling him a ladder, giraffe or Eiffel Tower.
Daiki was glad you weren’t offended about it because... you were incredibly cute to him when your cheeks turned red and slight insults came from your lips. Of course he would never say it out loud, but you were super fluffy for him and he liked this side of you. And hey, as your tall boyfriend he had nice views from above. For this and if necessary he liked to take you on his lap or cuddle with you on the armchair, because you were the pocket-sized person and he could cover your whole body by his.
But as I wrote, Aomine would never have said it out loud. He just always laughed, saying you were shrunk again.
Of course, Daiki wasn’t such a bastard to you.
I mean, yes. Aomine had the right to make fun of you, but no one else him could do it, because he knew that after all your height is your complex. Your boyfriend spoke his jokes in a gentle way, always saying at the end that he loves your body anyway, because of this he feels more manly and needful. He didn’t spare wet kisses or hickeys on your chest at that time, so you didn’t feel bad with him. You love each other very much.
However, when other people’s jokes were involved, such as those from girls who were jealous of your blue-haired man or gross jokes from boys who didn’t like Aomine or wanted to pick you up... Daiki changed his mood immediately.
Just like now, when you were walking towards Aomine’s class to go to the roof with him and have breakfast. Unfortunately, just before the door a couple of first-year students stopped you; one of them hit the wall with his hand, blocking the way for you.
“Hey, Y/N-chan. Oh, this bento is for me?” The tall black-haired boy took your breakfast box, then raised it high up, smiling broadly. “Thank you, it’s really nice. You are such a damn cutie.”
“Please, no. W-Wait...”
“Maybe we’ll arrange a date? We can go to the cinema and then to me. I think it won't be a problem with you getting into my bed, because you're so small...”
“Don’t touch me and give my bento back!” You jumped to catch the white box, but in vain.
“Oh, I have great views from my perspective.” The teenager laughed, not even noticing the shadow of a much taller person behind him. The box with your bento was picked up and the perverted student was pressed against the wall next to you.
“Why don’t you repeat what you just said a moment ago?” Daiki asked and you immediately ran up to him, hiding behind him. “Harassing girls... especially girls in the relationship... It’s really shitty, don’t you think? Get out, brat and never approach my girlfriend again.”
As I said, only Daiki can use your height for kissing or joking.
And of course to show that he’s the best boy on the whole world.
Tumblr media
— SHINTAROU
Your boyfriend was a difficult man. He rarely showed any emotions, but you knew that he cares about you very much and despite his cold behavior he always worries about you.
No less, Midorima is... Midorima. You didn’t know any bigger tsundere than him; especially when you two were together at the random moment.
Like. Did you forget your scarf? No problem, Shintarou will lend you his own and tell you that you are irresponsible and childish. You’re hungry? All right, your boyfriend will buy you something from the school cafeteria or share his bento saying it’s the last time he does it for you (spoiler: this isn’t the last time because he’s a simp for you anyway). You’re tired? Girl... Midorima will take you on his lap and hug you so tight that your heart will melt, but three times he will mention that you can’t tell anyone about this situation. Mom, I love him.
In any case, Shin has his own way of showing affection, which is primarily based on texting to you or bringing for you your lucky items for the day; for example, recently, Midorima brought you a key ring with a puppy's pendant, because Oha Asa mentioned that this wouldn't be a good day for your zodiac... Sweet.
Today, however, he brought to school only an item for you (by the way, it was a Tokyo’s guide), or so you thought, because Shintarou always discusses with you about his lucky thing. And today he didn’t say a single word about it. He only took your hand and led you to class, saying that he would come for you at your next break.
And so, throughout today’s day Midorima didn’t leave you even for a moment, and by the way he still walked with you by the hand, which was a bit strange for you because Shin didn't like a public PDA. Takao was equally surprised.
Only when you started coming back to home with the green-haired man who was walking next to you (of course with your fingers laced with his) you decided to ask Shintarou if something had happened.
“So... your today’s happy item is a holding hands or maybe rather a woman’s hand?” You asked seriously, laughing under your breath, at which Midorima looked at you surprised.
“No.” He said honestly, so you immediately thought that your boyfriend joined into a PDA lovers! You were about to say something, but he continued. “My lucky thing for today is something small, that’s why I thought about you.”
You hit the boy on the shoulder, blushing furiously. “Idiot.”
Tumblr media
— ATSUSHI
With Murasakibara, no matter if you were 155 centimeters tall, 168 centimeters tall or even 180 centimeters tall... you would still be small for him. And because you were below average, your relationship looked at least funny, but also sweet.
Of course, Atsushi didn’t care about your height, what’s more – he considered that it’s your advantage because he was pleased to took you in his arms while watching movies or grab your hands and play with them. Therefore, while you were next to him, you praised him and (maybe) from time to time you fed or played with his hair, Murasakibara paid no attention to your height. And when someone asked him if he didn't mind about it, he answered with his the most weary voice ‘Why would that kind of things should bother me? My Y/N-chin is my Y/N-chin and I like her no matter what. Do you have any problem with her or me?’
Of course, Atsushi is a big baby who likes to tease you, but he doesn’t use words for it; I mean, very often, when you want to kiss him, a tall boy laughs quietly and specifically asks that ‘huh, do you have a problem’ to reaching his lips. He always suggests bringing a ladder or chair. You snort, hitting him at the waist and laught shortly after that. Finally, you always pull him by the shirt to bend him down. He can't refuse you anyway.
Especially when you threaten him with not giving him snacks the next day.
Atsushi is a very supportive boy! If someone else teases you and you feel bad about your height difference, then your man always grabs the other person's head and asks rhetorically whether to crush him. Therefore, in order not to feel bad about it, you immediately offer him something to eat; if it's one of his three favorite dishes he'll probably follow you like a faithful dog.
‘Sushi likes to lift you up and help you to get to the basket board. His height is also very helpful when you cook something together, and he has the task of reaching for ingredients or bowls.
Nevertheless, sometimes he can’t refrain from saying that you are really smol. And if you’re together among the crowd, he sometimes he loses sight of you.
Fortunately, Atsu is so tall that you can find he quickly (usually at food stalls).
“You’re lost again, Y/N-chin...”
“You went to the snack machine without even telling me anything!” You laughed reaching for your wallet to buy ice cream for both of you.
“Sorry, sometimes I forget that you’re so small and have short legs, Chibi-chin.”
Tumblr media
— SEIJUUROU
Your boyfriend definitely isn’t one of those type who joke about such serious matters as appearance, style or diseases. However, if he only saw or heard that someone was laughing at you, he immediately appeared next to your figure, which caused the tormentor escape. No one dared to object to Seijuurou, it’s a fact.
Akashi, of course, didn’t laugh at your height as I wrote, but this doesn’t mean that he didn’t like the fact that you asked him a favor or asked him to give you something or help you in doing a random thing. This brat asked for something in return each time; usually it was a kiss but sometimes it was also something more.
In any case, your man always went into defense mode when he was with you, through what many people were surprised by his change from Akashi in the basketball team > Akashi in the company of Y/N.
For example, imagine such a scene: You go to your home with Seijuurou because the boy decided to help you with chemistry and physic, but on your the way you unfortunately stumble over the protruding curb and fall into the ground, injuring your knee. Sei immediately changes from ‘full seriousness’ to “God, honey, are you all right?”
“Sei-kun, I’m not dying.”
“Yes, but it looks really bad. Let me take you in my arms.”
“Seijuurou-kun, I can really go on my own legs.”
“I won’t let you. Come here.”
“You’ll be tired and I’m heavy.”
“No, you’re not. You’re tiny.”
There really is no point in arguing with him because you won’t win anyway. Although you have to admit that thanks to the pink-haired you feel really loved and appreciated. There is no person in the world who cares about you like Akashi.
Tumblr media
— TETSUYA
This boy is literally an angel. He probably won’t say a bad word about your height, but if he does, he will be 100% unknowingly about it and if he quickly understands his mistake, he will apologize for it; for example, he says you have recently seemed taller, but after a while he will remember that you were wearing shoes with a higher heel that day, not sneakers. Tetsuya is the most supportive boy in the world who will help you with everything you have a problem with.
You can’t reach the top shelf in the store? Kuroko will take your favorite cereal without a word and say that if you need something else from this or other shelf, just tell him. Do you have a problem with hanging laundry or putting curtains on your window? Tetsuya will gladly help you or lift your body to make you more comfortable. Are you cold? This cutie will lend you his sweatshirt/jacket/blanket, saying that you should take care of yourself, because you quickly catch a cold.
You! Literally! Have! Nothing! To! Complain! About!
Angel. I said what I said.
Kuroko isn’t one of the highest either people, so he is somewhat happy that his girlfriend is much shorter than him and sometimes needs his help for even such simple matters as changing a light bulb, reaching for a book in the library or chips from the storage locker in kitchen.
Sometimes, however, you get the impression that Kuroko is too worried about you. Like at this moment when you were going to go swimming with your boyfriend in the lake because you and your friends from Seirin went for a little rest. And also ‘cause the basketball team has a training under the supervision of Riko.
“Y/N-chan can you swim here? It’s quite deep. I’m worried.”
“Yes, Tetsuya, I can handle it. But I will take your hand when I feel threatened.”
“Yes, but you can hurt yourself. Grab me now. Pretty please.”
Kuroko is definitely cute and lovely, but he should chill.

Anon Request: Hi. Can I request knb gom asking the girl they like out scenario. Thank you.
A/N: Ofc anon, here you go! I hope you like it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's actually liked you for a while. You were one of the first people that actually saw him. He was actually about to run into you when you stopped and apologized. Since then, his feelings for you continued to grow. Every time you were both walking in the hallways, you always made sure that no one would run into him, and it made his heart flutter so bad, he literally thought it would explode.
When Kagami finally gives him enough courage to try and ask you out, he actually becomes so nervous that you don't even see him coming up to you in the hallways. "Oh, Kuroko, you scared me, that's a first. What's up?"
He almost chickens out right there, the smile on your face making him even more nervous, and he tries to keep his heartbeat out of his ears just in case he disappears right in front of you. "Um, on Saturday there's this new movie coming out, and I was wondering if you wanted to go see it..." He trails off, hesitant to add the last part, but he swallows his words and does it anyway. "Like a date?"
Your smile widens as you nod your head quickly. "Yes, I would love to go on a date with you."
He almost doesn't hear it, but when your answer fills his ears, he's smiling so big that his face hurts, and his heart is still racing.
Tumblr media
He wasn't even sure if you had felt the same way, and Kasamatsu was getting annoyed that Kise was distracted. He had always gotten gifts from fangirls, but he realized soon enough that he only wanted them from you, but despite his usually confident personality, he was way more than nervous to try and ask you out.
And every time he finally got enough courage to ask you, someone would come along and interrupt him, showering with gifts while you start your walk home, and he never got a chance to ask you to stay. He whines to Kasamatsu about what he should do, and he tells him that he should just ask you when no one else is around before kicking him back onto the court.
So, he asks you to stay until practice is over, which you don't mind, and he has you meet him outside the gym. In the back of his mind, he thinks that this probably wasn't the best idea because he's all sweaty, but luckily you won't see how red his face is.
He hands you a huge bouquet of flowers, maybe a little too excitedly because you almost drop them as your eyes widen. "Woah, this is huge. Your fans gave you this?" you ask in disbelief.
He rubs his hands together as he shakes his head. "They're for you."
Your eyebrows raise as you look down at the flowers and back at him. "For me? What for?"
"I was wondering if you would like to go on a date? With me?" The question's out there now, and now he waits for the answer he's been dreading.
"Really? I would love to."
"It's okay if you don't--" He stops himself as his eyes widen. "Wait, you said yes?" You nod as you chuckle softly, and he gives you a big hug in excitement, momentarily forgetting that he was a sweaty mess.
Tumblr media
He didn't even realize that he actually had feelings for you until Takao pointed it out to him. But as soon as he did, it seemed to be the only thing he could focus on. Whenever you would talk to him, his nerves got the best of him, and he was always having trouble responding because he found himself focusing more on you than the conversation.
He starts noticing that whenever he has a lucky item every day, that you're more so interested and amazed rather than teasing him about it like the team does, and that doesn't bother him, but how you respond makes him realize how big his crush is.
He's actually reluctant to ask you out, and Takao rolls his eyes before almost pushing him into you and running away before Midorima can catch him. He pushes his glasses up on his nose before he takes out a small teddy bear and handing it to you.
"It's your lucky item for today," he says, having to clear his throat to try and conceal his nerves. You take it excitedly, your eyes running over the cute bear when you notice that there's a note wrapped around the neck.
"You don't have to say yes, and you can keep the bear." He quick to speak when he sees you read it, and his luck isn't the best today, so to say he's a little nervous is an understatement.
"So, when is this date happening?"
He raises his eyebrows slightly. "You're saying yes?" You chuckle again as you nod your head, and he visibly relaxes, a small smile appearing on his face.
Tumblr media
You were a part-time manager for the team, and apparently, Aomine was the only one who didn't notice that he was only showing up to practice when you were there. He brushed it off every time someone commented on it, and the team was even more surprised when he started showing up even though you weren't there.
Momoi actually pushes him about it, telling him that his reasoning behind it was because he liked you, and it didn't even dawn on him until he was trying to take a nap on the roof. He still tried to deny it, but almost every conversation he had with you about practice, was you telling him that he still needed to go even if he wasn't going to practice.
Of course, when he shows a little bit of agreement, Momoi gets excited and tells him that he has to ask you out, which he denies quickly, but the more he thinks about it, the less of a bad idea it sounds. He tells her that he doesn't want her help, that he is more than capable of asking you out on his own.
But that doesn't mean he's any less nervous.
He thinks about how he could ask you, but every outcome is just him asking you out on a date awkwardly, and he almost gives up on the idea until you come up to the roof to get him to go to practice.
"Aomine, I thought we made a deal," you say, leaning over him and shielding the sun from his face.
"If you go on a date with me, then I'll go more often." His eyes shoot open. He doesn't know why his mouth started talking on its own volition, but he looks anywhere but your face, scared of your reaction.
"Is that a deal?" He slowly looks at you, seeing that you have a small smile on your face, your eyebrows raised.
"You want to go out with me?" he asks incredulously, and you huff softly as you nod.
"Yes, but I'm not going unless you go to practice." You start making your way down the ladder and back into the school, and he's right behind you, trying to convince you if there's something else he could do instead of going to practice.
Tumblr media
Himuro was quick to notice how Atushi's behavior changed whenever you would start talking to him or if you were in the same room as him, but he didn't say anything. He was really surprised when he started offering you food, knowing how protective and passionate he is about it and decided to ask him about it.
"She was hungry," he responds, giving him a lazy excuse before busying himself with opening another bag of chips, but Himuro doesn't miss the way his face starts to turn a light shade of pink at the mention of you.
"You should say something, Atushi," he tries, but he just ignores him, telling him that he was nothing more than a friend helping out a friend.
So, when he sees you walking into the cafeteria, he calls you over, making Atushi freeze, the chips he was going to put in his mouth, hovering in front of it. "I actually need to go, but Atushi has something to ask you."
Murasakibara glares at him as he walks away, and you sit down next to him. "What do you need to ask me?" Your attention is fully on him, and he fumbles with the bag of chips in his hand before holding it towards you.
"Thank you," you say eagerly, taking a couple of chips. "I did not bring nowhere near enough food today."
"Well, you could always get more...like on a date," he responds, cringing slightly at his words, and you smile as you finish chewing, your head tilting slightly.
"Are you asking me out?" you ask, and he gives you a small shrug as he looks away, making you laugh softly. "I'd like that."
He turns his head back to you in surprise before giving you a small smile. "Well, just so you know, you're getting your own food after our first date," he adds, and you laugh as he lets you take another chip.
Tumblr media
He knew pretty early on that he felt different about you, but he didn't think at first that it was because he liked you. He wasn't really nervous to ask you on a date, but he was nervous about whether or not you would actually yes or if you felt the same way.
So, for a while, he doesn't say anything at all, keeping his feelings a secret whenever he was talking to you, but because he sees you almost all of the time, those feelings only become stronger and harder to hide.
And he spends way too much time trying to figure out how he should ask you, or if he should be extravagant with it. But everything he comes up with, he just ends up countering with something negative about the idea, so feels defeated.
He doesn't like this feeling, and he decides to just go for it because he thinks he'll feel better that he actually asked you instead of just not trying at all. He's able to catch you after school before he goes to practice, and he takes a deep breath before he speaks.
"I just wanted to ask you something," he starts, and curiosity appears over your face.
"Sure go ahead."
"Would you like to go on a date with me?" It's blunter than he would like it to be, but right now he's pleased that he finally got it off his chest. But that feeling is slowly pulled away as he waits for your answer.
"It took you long enough," you joke, and his eyes widen in surprise before he laughs with you.
"I just wanted to ask you in the right way," he admits, a little sheepishly, and you smile softly.
"But short and straight to the point is good enough," you reply before walking up to him, planting a gentle kiss on his cheek before you start to walk away.
"You've got practice, but text me the details, okay?" And he watches you walk away, his hand brushing over his cheek.

[spins a sillie little yarn for you while i crochet you a new hat for the upcoming cold weather]
@you-may-call-me-meme
Ok, he showered, brushed his teeth, and combed his hair. Konekomaru was just about ready for bed, but decided to shut his curtains before finally laying down. It was a miracle he even noticed her down there, but after catching a glimpse, Konekomaru did a double take and saw Takao kun. She was roaming the sidewalks near the dorms, but strangely enough- she was walking right past them.
Konekomaru knew he shouldn’t be breaking the curfew, but he had heard that Takao kun was in a mood recently. He honestly was trying to give her her space, but staying out this late was just ridiculous.
-----
Konekomaru ran up to Takao kun- thankful that he at least had grabbed some slippers before running out of the dorms- and called after her. “Hey! Ta-”
He was cut off- quite literally- as Takao kun spun around to look at him. Clutched in her shaking hand was a knife, semi serrated, and clearly stolen from the school’s kitchen. Takao kun held it deftly, clearly in defense, but ready to make the first move if she saw fit.
He honestly would be pretty intimidating if not for the fact that he looked half a second away from falling over.
It took a bit, but Takao kun finally seemed to recognize her classmate, and lowered her weapon without comment. “Takao Kun?” Konekomaru yelped, still a bit startled by her aggression. “What’s gotten into you? What are you doing out this late?” Takao kun stared at him blankly, as if taking a second to think. In the end, she only shrugged, blinking sleepily as Konekomaru grew more and more worried.
“Ok- I’m not leaving you out here.” Konekomaru said, a bit more confidently than he felt. “I know you don’t sleep alone- I could get Jetsam- Haru may not be too happy about this but I’m sure he’d still let you into his room?” Takao kun rolled his eyes and turned to continue her walk, Konekomaru was a bit surprised by her nonchalance, but quickly followed her. “Hey! You can’t just walk away Takao Kun!” he huffed, reaching to grab her wrist, but was quickly smacked away.
“Aito Takao!” Konekomaru barked, to both his and Takao kun’s surprise. This isn’t how he wanted this to go- but he couldn’t stop now. “Aito Takao; you know I have friends. I’m actually friends with a few people who don’t like you too much.” he said, matter of factly. “I can’t imagine they’d like to hear how rude you’re being to me.” he finished with a huff. Aito rolled his eyes again, but seemed a bit more willing to hear him out. “I could call Moa right now, I know you two tussle.”
Takao looked a bit more amused than she was before, even chuckling a bit as she crossed her arms. “You’re bluffing.” she croaked. This was worse than Konekomaru thought.
“And if you’re wrong?” he asked, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his phone. In all honesty, he would never bother Moa this late at night, not to mention the trouble he could get into for starting a fight between them… but he’d be willing to threaten Takao till she gave in. “Are you willing to take that risk, Takao Kun?”
The smug grin slowly left Takao’s face as she considered the notion, and carefully weighed her options. Go with Konekomaru, or face an irritated Moa.
“I don’t know who’d let me sleep in their dorm right now.” Takao sighed, walking and passing Konekomaru on her way back to the dorms.
“You can come with me?” Konekomaru offered. Takao’s ears flicked and she looked over her shoulder as Konekomaru followed her. “I know it’s not what you’re used to but- I mean I’m already awake, why should we wake anybody else up?”
Takao considered it briefly, and finally nodded as she opened the front door of the building.
-----
Takao seemed a bit nervous standing in Konekomaru’s room. He held his sleeping bag tight to his chest as he checked the lock on the door. “Broken?” she asked quickly, testing it once or twice.
“No, I don’t think so? It locks well enough, nobody’s gotten in here as far as I know.” Konekomaru said, shrugging as he moved a few things off his floor to make room for Takao.
“Far as you know…” Takao huffed, tugging on the handle a couple more times before silently giving in. “the balcony? And the vents?
“The knife.” Konekomaru said, ignoring Takao’s questions and holding out his hand. Takao gave him a challenging look, and brushed past him. “I’m not letting you keep that.” he said, watching as Takao put her sleeping bag down next to his bed. Takao seemed to consider it for a second, and finally took the knife out of her coat pocket. She tossed it onto Konekomaru’s desk, and gave him a stern look. There. She seemed to say. Neither of us can have it.
After they silently agreed that the knife would not be touched, they both crawled into their respective sleeping arrangements. “You sure you’re ok with sleeping on the floor?” Konekomaru asked, leaning over the side of his bed to check on Takao one last time. Takao simply nodded, and snuggled further into her sleeping bag. “Good night, Takao.” he sighed, laying back down and accepting the muffled voice as a good night from her.
Konekomaru wasn’t sure how long he had waited for the sound of Takao’s breath to slow, but given how quickly it felt, he couldn’t imagine she had gotten much sleep as of late. He looked over the side of his bed again and only saw the top of Takao’s head and the point of her horns sticking out of the sleeping bag. He hadn’t noticed it before, but her hair looked a little shiner than usual. While Takao didn’t keep the cleanest room, she’d always kept herself clean… but her hair made it seem as though she had been skipping showers. It worried Konekomaru, in ways he couldn’t exactly put his finger on.
-----
When he woke up the next morning, Takao was gone. He was a bit worried for a second, but then recalled the girl’s unusual sleeping patterns, and assumed she had gotten her fill for now. He wished they could have talk a bit more about what was actually bugging her… but…
But seeing the knife, still resting on his desk, made him realize that maybe it was enough that she had gotten a good night’s sleep.

~ GOM as a father ~
[notes] ~ hello! i' m sorry for not being active for the past two weeks because i was battling writer's block, and since college has started it also got in the way of my writing. the requests are piling up and i'll try to work on them as soon as possible ;;; here's a hc of your fav gom boys while you wait. thank you! ♡
Tumblr media
Kuroko
the most normal out of the 6.
he’s really appreciative and compliments his child on something they do.
the type to give a sweet morning call and kisses them as soon as they wake up.
later at night, he would read them books and stay longer before their bedtime just to have a simple talk. “what was your favorite part of today?”
also assures them that he's all-ears if they're bothered by something.
no matter how bad his day went, he would never show it in front of them.
you and Kuroko always stick a note filled with encouraging words on their lunchbox to boost their spirit.
sets a healthy lifestyle to help with their growth because he doesn't want them to take after his low stamina.
he loves to assist when they have an art project and he'd display the artwork at home while giving a pat on the head. "look at this awesome work made by you."
Tumblr media
Kise
the moment he officially became a dad, he cried for a whole day.
one night, you felt exhausted and Kise wasn't on the bed the moment you woke up. then you found him at the room next door, snoring on the carpet with scattered diapers while your child was sleeping soundly in their crib.
hangs family pictures all over the house and he puts his child's shots throughout the years. he's also active on social medias to boast about his little family.
he's clingy and would give big hugs and kisses at random times, for no reason at all. often argues about who love whom more.
a little sad when they refuse to accept his affection. "dad, stop it. i'm older now." "doesn't matter, i'd still hug and kiss you every day even if you grow grey hair."
spoils them with toys until there's barely any space to keep them, which gaining him a whack from you. "don't buy toys anymore." but he just couldn't look away and came home with another one.
brags about the magazines which he featured on. "doesn't your dad look handsome here?"
he takes his child to his photoshoot site once in a while and the people there would squeal.
his heart breaks if he sees them getting frustrated or sad. "hey, you have your mom and me. you'll always be our biggest pride so let's figure out together, alright? now should we crash at your favorite restaurant?"
gets excited when they do. he's also good at role plays, sometimes a cop, a prince, a monster, etc.
Tumblr media
Midorima
a little awkward and confused as how to act natural when his child pretend to shoot him or he plays a prince.
"mom, can you play with me? dad's terrible." then he'd call Kise to ask for some advice.
often doubts himself whether he's a good father or not, but that thought got washed out after his child came home saying he got an A for his essay; 10 things i love about my father. reading it before he leaves for work has become a routine.
bonds over basketball. he'd teach his child how to shoot threes and encourage them until they get better.
he makes sure they keep lucky items with them every day.
totally lost his cool and was panicking when his child got a fever. you tried to calm him down but he instantly rushed to the hospital, only to return home again because the doctor said it wasn't serious; just a usual fever every kid runs to.
the type to set a curfew.
might push them in term of academics, but not too hard. and he would always praise them no matter how bad the score they get. "it's just a number. i just hope you understand the subject so it'll be an advantage for you in the future, you can always do better, because you're our son/daughter."
lowkey jealous if the Shutoku uncles get close to them and glares at Takao because his child seems to favor him.
Tumblr media
Aomine
the troublemakers in the house, especially if he has a son. a carbon copy just in a smaller size.
definitely passes on his basketball legacy and they would lose track of time. you had to call them multiple times over dinner only to get responded with "5 more minutes!" and lasted for another hour.
tells them the importance of teamwork no matter how good they are in basketball. he doesn't want his child to repeat his mistake in the past.
"why are you worried over the exam you just finished, when the scores aren't out yet at that? honey, tell the kiddo what place i was during high school," he said as he laid down on the sofa, watching tv while picking on his nose. "your dad was in last place."
he would give a lesson to whoever tries to pick up on or belittle his child.
try to position himself a friend instead of a parent so they'll not be afraid to open up to him.
calls them with pet names he comes up with or he just go with "oi kiddo"
lots of skinship and he often buries them under his large body or traps their head under his shirt when he's being playful.
"don't grow up too fast. i'll be sad, you know?"
Tumblr media
Murasakibara
despite his habit of unhealthy eating, he restricts his child to do the same.
"no more candies." "but dad, you had it more than me. can i, please?" "no. you're still growing, your teeth will rot." "so can i eat as much as you once i grow up?" "still no."
the happiest when the school invites parents for a one-day activity together. the other children hover around him because they find his purple hair amusing.
you were amazed by how much he had matured after having a child compared to before the marriage.
rewards them with snacks and sweets if they achieve something.
loves to give them teddy bear hugs.
Tumblr media
Akashi
sets good examples that his child would follow; a man with manners.
pays full attention to their education. at the same time he takes things slowly and is aware that his child isn't a machine that should excel at everything.
"please do tell me if you ever feel like the lesson doesn't suit you. talk to me, okay?"
says "i love you" or "you're the greatest thing ever happened in our life" whenever he gets the chance.
tries his best to spend some time with them despite his busy schedules as he doesn't want to lose track of their growth.
takes them along to his business trips, classical concerts or simply playing basketball with the uncles from Teiko in hopes that his child will learn naturally by watching.
he would never demand them to be perfect like the doctrine he received from his father, because his child's happiness is number 1 priority above anything else.
teaches them leadership skills and how to earn other people's respect without hurting them.
overall, he avoids to repeat his past by being more considerate and affectionate to his own child which he treasured so much.

Aww, I love this prompt!! I’ve done a mix of headcanons/scenarios. I hope you enjoy!
Reader comforting Boyfriend!GOM + Kagami and Kuroko after losing a match
Akashi Seijuro
Seirin had managed to pull through at the last minute with a buzzer beater, Rakuzan losing by only a single point
Your heart pained at the defeated looks on everyone’s faces knowing how hard they had been training for their destined rematch
You watched as Akashi lead the players to lineup, his face remaining composed as they bowed to the crowd and to their opponents
You tugged him to sit by your side on the ride back, where the gentle rocking of the bus had lulled the other members to sleep
“Sei, you ok?” Taking his hand in yours, you give squeeze gently.
Akashi looks down at your entwined hands, a sad smile touching his lips. “I feel frustrated, however…it was a good game. Everyone fought well.”
The two of you sit in silence for a few moments, Akashi lightly playing with your fingers.
Bringing the back of your hand up to his lips, he presses a light kiss on the back of your hand. “_____, can I ask you for a favor?”
“Hm? Of course!”
“Thank you.” Akashi lowers his head to your shoulders, closing his eyes. “Please let me stay like this…just for a bit.”
“As long as you’d like, Akashi.” You nuzzle back against him with a smile, drinking in his warmth.
Kise Ryouta
Your heart drops at the final score that flashes across on the scoreboard, Kaijo having not been able to catch up during the last quarter to Too
Your eyes were glued to Kise’s figure, worried about how he would react
You see him throwing his head back, chest heaving as he takes in several deep breaths
He catches your eye and gives you a smile, but you could tell immediately that it didn’t touch his eyes
Kise was standing at the outdoor water fountains, his head bowed as the stream of water cascaded down his hair and neck.
“Ryouta…” You called out to him as you walked up, towel in hand.
“Ah, _____-cchi!” Kise turns off the water as he straightens up, but doesn’t turn your direction. “Man, that was a tough game, I’m exhausted!”
You bite your lip at Kise’s higher-than normal pitched voice. Throwing the towel over his head, you roughly start to tousle his hair. “Yeah, it was.”
“Aominecchi was good, like always.”
“Mhhm.” You continue to rub the towel against his hair, listening to him quietly.
“…I wanted to win.” Kise’s voice is barely above a whisper as he turns, hugging you to him tightly, his face buried against your neck. “I wanted to win, so badly…”
“I know.” Rubbing his back, you feel Kise’s tremors against your body. “You worked hard, Ryouta.”
Aomine Daiki
Aomine was frustrated, stomping off the court after seeing the results of their game against Yosen
You saw Momoi running up to him, hand outstretched as she tried to calm him down
You couldn’t hear what Aomine said exactly, but Momoi had pulled back like she had been burnt, her eyes tearing up as Aomine made a beeline straight for the door
“Daiki!” You race after him, barely able to keep up with his long strides. “Wait!”
“Not now, _____.” Aomine grunts, barely slowing down his pace.
Thinking about the tears that Momoi was barely able to hold back, you feel irritation rising in your chest.
“I said WAIT, YOU DAMN BASTARD!” Pulling off your shoe, you throw it with all your might towards his back.
“Ow! What the hell, _____!”
“I should be the one asking you that!” You shout, marching straight up to him. “Do you think you’re the only one frustrated? That you’re the only one that’s sad?!?”
Beating on his chest with your fists, you grip onto his jersey tightly, pulling his face down to yours. “So stop acting like a goddamn kid and be there for your teammates!”
Aomine doesn’t say anything for a minute, but his face relaxes slightly as he sighs, reaching for your wrists.
“Yeah. You’re right, _____. Sorry.”
“I’m not the one you need to apologize to, Daiki.” Flicking him on the forehead, you start dragging him back to the gym by the front of his jersey. “Make up with Momoi-chan or I swear to god, I’ll cut up every single one of your posters.”
Murasakibara Atsushi
Just like clockwork, Murasakibara begins shoving his things angrily into his duffle bag, claiming that he was going to quit basketball
The match with Shutoku had dragged on, going several minutes into overtime
Murasakibara was unable to block Midorima’s last shot, and you knew he was feeling frustrated because of that
“Atsushi.” You gently tug his clothing from his tight grip, smoothing out the fabric before folding it properly. “Don’t say things you don’t mean.”
“I mean it. I’m quitting.”
You sigh at the sight of Murasakibara’s pout, his face turned stubbornly away from you as he sat on the bench.
“Atsushi. You love basketball. There’s no way you’d quit.” One by one, you start putting things into his bag in an orderly fashion before zipping it up. “Besides, how would your team feel if you just up and quit on them?”
Atsushi is quiet as you hand him his bag. You reach for his hairband, tugging his ponytail free as you card your fingers through his purple hair.
“…I don’t really want to quit, _____-chin.” He whispers, and you can hear his voice shaking slightly.
“I know you don’t. Let’s go home, okay? I’ve got all the things we need to make a cake.” You hug him close, tucking his head underneath your chin as you continue patting his head.
Midorima Shintarou
Midorima was staring at his left hand, clenching and unclenching it into a fist
Akashi had managed to block his last play in the game, unfortunately resulting in Rakuzan’s win
The rest of the team had gone ahead and left the two of you alone, Takao patting you on the back before handing you a roll of tape bandages
“Shin-tan.”
“Don’t call me that.”
“Good to see that you can still complain about that.” You grab his left hand, undoing the tape on his fingers one by one.
“You’re amazing, Shintarou.” You squeeze his fingers one by one, following each squeeze with a light brush of your lips.
“_____.” Midorima blushes, his eyes widening slightly. “What are you doing…?”
“Just a little bit of TLC for my beloved boyfriend.” You reply, unraveling the roll of tape Takao had left for you. You start rewrapping his fingers methodically, going one by one.
You can see Midorima’s shoulders begin to relax out of the corner of your eyes, and you feel his hand slacken in your hold as he relinquishes himself up to your control.
“Next time…I won’t lose.” Midorima promises, flexing his fingers once you finished taping.
“That’s right!”
“I will also purchase a larger penguin plushie next time.”
You eye the plushie Midorima was holding in his right hand, an adorable rockhopper penguin plush that was roughly the size of your head.
“…Will you even be able to carry around one that’s much bigger though?”
Kuroko Tetsuya
It had been a tough battle against Too Academy, especially since it wasn’t possible to use Misdirection Overflow against the team
The relationship between Kuroko and Aomine had drastically improved ever since the events of last year’s Winter Cup, but you knew that while Kuroko wasn’t the most vocal, he still had a competitive spirit
So it was painful for you to see the forlorn look on Kuroko’s face as the buzzer rang, signaling the end of the game
“Nigou, I’m counting on you to help me cheer Tet-chan up, ok?”
“Arf!” Nigou’s head poked out of your jacket, his tongue lolling as he panted, his eyes searching for his owner.
Before you could even set him to the ground, Nigou had already leapt out of your hold, his tail wagging behind him as he raced to Kuroko, pawing at his legs as he begged for him to pick him up.
“Nigou.” Nigou leapt into Kuroko’s arms as soon as he was able to, and you couldn’t help but giggle at the licks that he was already lavishing over Kuroko’s cheeks.
“Good game, Tet-chan.” You say, strolling up to Kuroko. “I’m sorry it didn’t end the way you wanted it to…”
“I’m disappointed too.” Kuroko says, his blue eyes meeting your gaze. His face was as expressionless as ever, but you had observed him long enough to be able to see the minute wrinkles in his brows.
“Arf, arf!” Nigou barked, nosing at Kuroko’s cheeks as he let out a soft whine.
“Someone doesn’t want you to be sad.” You reach out to ruffle Nigou’s fur, letting your other hand rest on Kuroko’s head as you ruffle his hair too.
“_____, I’m not a dog.”
“I know you’re not.” You reply, ignoring his complaint as you continue to ruffle his baby-blue locks. “But you’re cute. And I want to cheer you up.”
Kuroko is quiet as he leans into your touch, his eyes closing. A small smile touches his lips, and that’s when you knew that he would be alright.
Kagami Taiga
You knew Kagami was taking this loss particularly hard-the third years had graduated and he had declared that he’d take care of the team
So it was easy for him to feel responsible for their loss against Too, feeling that he had let not only his team but his senpais down as well
You followed him outside to where he was staring at the sky, fists clenched by his side
“Taiga-kun. You’re going to catch a cold, baka.”
You threw his jacket over his head, sighing as he refused to move.
“Taiga. Talk to me.” Walking forward, you rest your head against his back while nudging him.
“I let everyone down.” Kagami mutters, his voice a mixture of frustration and sadness.
“The only way you’d let anyone down was if you weren’t playing your hardest.” You reply, jabbing him in the side as he let out an unmanly yelp. “Aww, Taiga-kun, you squealed like a little girl, how cute~”
“S-Shut up! Don’t go copying Kuroko!” Taiga shouts, aggressively pulling down his jacket and slipping it over his shoulders. “The two of you spend enough damn time together-“
“Aww, Taiga-kun is jealous, I’ll have to tell Kuroko all about this!”
“Don’t you dare!” Kagami wraps you in a light chokehold, his hands messing up your hair. “You’re my girlfriend, goddamnit!”
“Hey!” You pout, trying to duck beneath his arms.
Really, you were only doing it half-heartedly since you could tell that he was starting to cheer up a bit.

It Had to be You ~ Part Eight
Summary: Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world she walked into hers.  Lin Beifong saw the world in two colors; black and white. That changes though when she meets the siren working with one of the largest gangs in Republic City.
Azami never had a choice. Didn’t have a way out. But she could destroy things from the inside. She could move information around. She could lie and smile with the best of them.
Neither needed anyone. Neither needed love. So what happens when fate ties them together? Can they save each other? Or will a smoking gun end something before it begins
A/N: A 1930s/40s LOK AU. Note that there will be themes that were present during this time including smoking, drinking, underlying homophobia, and potentially smut later on down the line. Writer’s views are not that of the characters.

“Hi Chief…”
Lin stood stunned, frozen to her spot as she just stared at Azami. Her face was paler than normal, dark circles stained the skin under her eyes. Her hair was crusted, but her eyes were still that deep green that hooked Lin by her heart and pulled her in deep.
“You’re alive.” Lin stated the words were the only things that she could think to say.
“Seems that way.” Azami answered, a tired smile tugging at her features. “I imagine you’re ready to get back to your city though.”
A punch to the gut as Lin gripped the doorframe. Stepping into the room she shut the door a bit more forcefully than she had meant to. “How could you even say that?!”
“I--”
“You left a letter for me! Telling me that you had been assigned to use me for that son of a bitch but that then you had some fucking change of heart?! That you were going to potentially turn everything over to him rather than come to me?! Than to trust me to fucking help you! Dammit Azami!” Lin pushed away from the wall turning so that she wasn’t looking at the other woman.
Azami watched Lin and offered no words to her for a long moment. “You’ve seen the people I help, Lin. You can say that you would protect me all you want, but that leaves these people open to retaliation, and none of your men would turn an eye to it until it was too late. So yes, I did the underhanded move. I did trick you. And I fell for you, spirits help the fool that I am. But I’d also do all of that again if it meant keeping people like June and Tapeesa safe. And I won’t apologize for that.”
Tensed shoulders didn’t move down at all, instead, Lin found herself at the window. Outside people moved about the street going on with their day. They knew what brewed in the background. And perhaps, they knew what people like Azami risked to help them, but still they carried on. Pushing away from it, Lin found herself turning on her heel and leaving the room. Walking past the older women, she took one of June’s coats from the hook before slipping out of the apartment.
If she didn’t get out of there she’d suffocate as too many thoughts and conflicting ideas swirled in her head.
Tapeesa stood and turned to June sharply. “You’re just going to let her walk out like that?!”
“Sit down, darlin’. She’ll be back. That’s my coat she’s got, and she cares about Azami. But it’s a lot to process.” June answered, motioning her partner to sit and pressed a kiss to her cheek. “Speaking of, I need to speak with our girl a moment.”
“Don’t be too hard on her.” Tapeesa answered, reaching for June’s hand.
“Little hard to be hard on her when I’ve done the same thing.” June answered, bending to kiss her partner properly with a smile. “And you need to go lay down for a bit. Get some rest.”
Smiling, Tapeesa nodded and leaned into the kiss. “Yes dear.”
Nodding, June moved into the bedroom and smiled gently at Azami. The younger woman was starting out the window, bright tears in her eyes. Not drawing attention to them, June instead sat in the chair and took her hand.
“Never again, do you hear me?” June asked, tugging her hand gently to get her attention. “And before you argue that I’ve done this before, I’ll agree with you. Which is why I can say never again.”
A hand rested on her stomach as Azami felt tears trickle from her eyes. The motions of it made the incision in her stomach pull and hurt but the emotion snuck out of her. “I’m sorry...I’m so sorry I just…”
June stood and took the younger woman in her arms and held her close. Closing her eyes, she buried her face in her hair trying to hold back her own tears. “I know, I know darlin’. We owe you for the time you’ve bought us and for the lives you’ll end up saving.”
“They want to come after you, after Lin I couldn’t just…”
“You went to that damn meeting that they were whispering about didn’t you?” June asked, pulling away to look at her.
“It was Takao and those four people I’ve told you about. They want Lin dead to infiltrate and then want to come after you because you still hold the reins and I couldn’t...I had to do something.” Azami said, turning eyes up to June. These women had protected her, raised her, she wasn’t just going to let something happen to them.
Pressing a kiss to the top of her head, she smiled and shook her head when she heard Tapeesa slip into the room. “Your other mother isn’t very good at following directions.”
“Where’s the fun in that darling, besides, you’d be worried if I did.” Tapeesa answered, coming to sit with them. “Rest now dear one, we’ll be here.”
“And don’t worry about Lin, she’ll be back.”
*******
Lin made her way through the snow covered streets, her hands shoved into the pockets of June’s coat. The clear air helped to clear her head, the emotions surging through her at too fast a rate. Azami was always one to point out the flaws in their system. She was a product of those flaws, Lin supposed, but it always left Lin reeling.
Walking through the streets, she saw the evidence of the good that Azami did. Kids running around, families were together, and while businesses didn’t thrive in the same way here, they did work. They had a system that worked. A system separate from Lin’s shining one that she clung to. One that only protected so many people though. And Azami had tried to take their safety into her own hands. Tried to face the triad, the dragon, by herself to give people a chance to get out. To get away from them.
But she lied. She had lied to many to try and do something.
Oh but what have you done, almighty Beifong, in the name of protecting your city?
Spirits help her, what was she supposed to do?
With a sigh, she paused and sat on the bench outside of Azami’s apartment building. Staring at her hands, she reached into her trousers pocket again and pulled the letter out. Unfolding it, she read through it again, her eyes falling to specific lines. Lines that claimed she cared for her. Azami was an agent to herself though, and could Lin really trust that what she said was true? Even in a confessional dying letter?
But when her mind flashed to the day spent together handing out supplies to her neighbors. The easy smiles, the laughter between the two of them. Introducing her to everyone. Sharing food together. The way her eyes could tell Lin soo much; her emotions, what she was thinking. When she’d looked into them she saw...something. She knew what it was, but she wasn’t ready to admit what she’d seen.
Because she knew it was reflected in her eyes.
Groaning, the woman stood and turned to go into the apartment building. She didn’t know what she was looking for, she’d decide once she was inside, but something had to prove Azami’s words one way or the other once she was inside. Climbing the stairs, Lin traversed the hallway and paused when she saw Azami’s door sitting open.
Shit.
Of course her gun was back at home. Pushing the door open with her foot, she looked around the corner of the door frame before slipping into the apartment. It was a disaster. Tables were overturned, drawers were pulled out and left on the ground. The bookcase that had fascinated Lin laid toppled over, many of the belongings there had been broken. Papers were everywhere, photos torn. Clothes strewn all over. Walking around, there was evidence that whoever had done this had tried to set the place on fire and had been unsuccessful in their attempts.
“Spirits…” Lin murmured as the ill feeling gripped her. Azami had been right. She couldn’t protect her in the way she thought she could. This had would have been reported, she was sure, and not one cop had arrived.
Spirits dammit was she the only cop who cared about these people?!
But then, had she really been any better before Azami had taken her by the hand and showed her this place? Introduced her to these people?
Bending down, Lin plucked a photo from the ground that caught her eye. It was a younger Azami, spirits she couldn’t have been older than nine, with June and Tapeesa. June had her in front of her, Tapeesa standing next to her while the three of them beamed at the camera. Folded next to it was a tattered photo, older, creased to the point that it should be falling apart, but somehow it managed to hang on.
A small girl smiled up at her, wide eyes looking out at the world, in the arms of  a woman that she assumed was Azami’s mother. The woman with delicate cheekbones, and waving dark air that she must have inherited from her. Her father stood next to them, a wide smile matching the young girl’s. The small family had their whole lives to look forward to in this photo. Folding both photos carefully, she pocketed them in the jacket.
Sighing, she gave the apartment one last look over before quietly slipping out of it and back to the streets.
************
Slipping back into June and Tapeesa’s apartment, she looked around sheepishly at the smells of dinner on the stove. Elephant koi if she had to guess, and noodle soup. Taking the photos out of the pocket, she hung the coat up before moving further into the apartment.
“Welcome back.” June greeted, looking up from her book.
“How is she?” Lin asked, coming to sit at the table.
“Resting, were you able to figure some things out?” June asked, closing the book to set it off to the side.
“Yeah...I went by her apartment. Someone’s been there. It looks like someone tried to tear it apart completely. Bad arson job too, some burned areas but nothing took.” Lin answered, accepting the hot tea from Tapeesa.
“You salvage anything?” June asked, her brows furrowing to show her worry but she knew the drill at this point.
Sliding the pictures across the table, she watched June’s face soften. “All her personal papers were destroyed or taken.”
“Doesn’t surprise me.”
Lin nodded, sipping her tea for a long moment before she couldn’t keep the question at bay. “What happened to them? Azami’s parents.”
“Hitomi and Ji-Hun, they were such a sweet couple, and a lovely family really. Adored that little girl more than anything in the world.” Tapeesa murmured, taking the photos from her wife. “Spirits she was so young.”
“Ji-Hun, her father, was a teacher. One of the young ones convinced he would change the world of education, you know? Pissed off one too many people by speaking out against what was going on. Wanted to give knowledge and skills to those the triad gangs would use. Can’t have them think for themselves.” June reached for her cigarettes, lighting one as the anger sparked bright behind her amber colored eyes. “They just bought a house, one of the gang leaders found out, never found out who raised the payments on it.”
“They beat him within an inch of his life before tying him to a stone. Pushed him into the harbor. After they made him watch while they raped Hitomi and put a bullet between her eyes.” Tapeesa murmured, taking the cigarette from her wife when it was offered.
“How did Azami survive?” Lin asked, taking the cigarette case, trying to keep the rage and heartbreak she felt for the child Azami had once been.
“Hitomi hid her in the cellar when they heard the men drive up. In a back pantry, in a barrel.” Tapeesa answered, pushing the photo away, pulling the one of herself and June with Azami close.
“We went as soon as we heard about it, but Azami had run by then. Each time we got close, she danced out of our reach. Sounding familiar?” June asked, throwing Lin a bit of a smirk when the younger woman blushed. “When we finally got her, we didn’t let go. She was half starved, and as feral as a fire cat.”
“And twice as mean.” Tapeesa chuckled gently. “It took her months to learn to trust us, but when you have her...well...you know the lengths she’ll go to protect someone.”
“Yeah, I’m starting to realize that.” Lin murmured, fingers running through her hair.
“Go talk to her, kid. Go talk it out.” June reached out for Tapeesa’s hand and took it in her own. “It’s what’ll keep you going.”
Nodding, Lin put the cigarette out, blowing the smoke out the window before finishing her tea. Walking back to the bedroom again, she knocked gently before slipping inside. Walking to Azami, she stood and studied her for a moment, finally reaching out to gently take Azami’s hand in her own. Warming her fingers as she brought it to her lips.
Startling from sleep, Azami turned her head and relaxed just slightly when she saw it was Lin. “Hi chief.”
“Hi...I’m sorry, for leaving the way I did.” Lin murmured, thumb brushing against her knuckles.
“You had a pretty good reason to.” Azami answered, grimacing as she tried to sit up more.
Leaning forward, Lin gently pushed her back into the pillow and shook her head. “I went by your apartment, it’s been pretty ransacked.”
“Doesn’t surprise me. Did you find your answers?” Azami answered looking up at her.
“Why did you do it the way you did? Why did...why didn’t you just tell me?” Lin asked, finding their fingers lacing together.
Azami offered her a small smile, watching their fingers. “Would you have believed me if I did?”
Lin let out a sigh and nodded. “Fair point. But after we spent that time together we trusted each other more I thought.”
“I do trust you, Lin. But I care about you too. Which is why I burned that map that I took from you so no one would see it. I watched a meeting of theirs, unseen, and the things they said,” she swallowed a lump in her throat and she shook her head. “I couldn’t let them hurt you, Lin. They were coming for your head. For June and Tapeesa’s head. I couldn’t...I couldn’t do it. So I lied to all of you, to protect the most people. To keep them from burning this community to the ground.”
Swallowing the lump in her throat, Lin looked up at Azami. “But why is everyone else’s life more important than yours?”
Azami looked up then, Lin’s lighter green eyes bearing down into her very soul as they stared at each other. “I’m just one woman, I could help hundreds more.”
“And don’t you see that your life is worth more to me than all of theirs combined?” Lin answered, her voice was small. It had been so long since she’d felt attached to someone like this. She had expected to go through her life alone at this point. Not attached to anyone and doing what she needed to do. And then she’d been pulled in by a single voice. By a woman who should have been the last person she’d fall for.
But here she was.
Azami stared at Lin in a stunned silence, trying desperately to process what Lin had just said to her. Lin’s fingers reached out to brush hair from her face while her darker eyes tried to focus on Lin’s face, looking for the meaning of behind her words.
“Lin...what...what do you want from me?” Azami asked, her voice broke, soft and small as her dark eyes pleaded with Lin to say what her heart needed to hear.
“I don’t want anything from you, Azami.” Lin murmured, she knew that’s all people wanted her around for. Was to use her for something. To use her to run information, to spy, to put her life on the line. “I just want you, Azami.”
Lin leaned in then and pressed her lips to Azami’s, hands reaching up to cup her cheek as she did so. Lips moved together, Azami’s free hand coming to rest over Lin’s on her cheek. Hearts raced and thundered against each other's ribs. Emotions and unspoken words communicated between them in that moment.
“Don’t lie to me again. Don’t sacrifice yourself anymore. We’re in this together now.”
Azami smiled and nodded, resting her forehead against Lin’s she nuzzled there gently. “Together.”
*********
Outside the hall clock struck, the aging gongs calling attention to the hour. In that minute of time, perhaps the clock had stopped. But as time sped up again, meetings in dark rooms were happening. Soldiers with guns were preparing. Two women who have been in love for most of their lives sat huddled around a table. And a new love was preparing to save each other from the armies that would come.
