Day 1

Pairing: Kim Sunwoo x fem!oc

Genre: Horror, angst, established relationship

Summary: An interesting and horrific haunted house experience.

Warning: Blood, injuries, cussing, mention of spiders

Notes: Day 1! I decided that I’ll use an oc instead of reader. 🤠

“Come on, Sun! It will be fun.” Chae pouted looking at her boyfriend.

“Yeah, because it is fun to get scared by strangers.” He sarcastically said.

“Oh, don’t be like that! And I bet it isn’t that scary.”

“I don’t believe that. I know this is one of the scariest haunted houses in the country.”

“And how do you know that?” The girl questioned.

“Because you told me a few days ago.”

“Dammit.” She cussed and crossed her arms. “Pleaseee baby, it’s not like something is going to happen to us. Eric came last year with Eun and they were fine.”

“Let me think about it… no.”

“Sunwooo.” She whined. “I’ll buy dinner.”

“Keep talking.”

Chae sighted. “And we can go on that ride you wanted to go, even if I’m afraid of heights.”

“You’re the best, baby!” He gave her a kiss on the cheek.

“Hmm.” She rolled her eyes playfully. “I hate you.”

“We both know that’s not true.” He hugged her and gave her a peck in the lips.

“Come on, babe.” She took his hand and their journey through the house began.

They entered alone since their group of friends were already ahead of them.

The house had a couple of rooms, it wasn’t that big but you could get easily lost.

They walked through the first room, it was dark, the only thing illuminating was a lamp on the corner.

Chae looked around trying to see if there was anything that could potentially scare them or just Sunwoo, everyone knew he was a scaredy cat.

As they were reaching the other door across the room, she began feeling cold.

“Are you cold, too?” She asked her boyfriend.

“Yeah, but it’s weird. All the windows are closed.”

After a moment, they looked at each other.

“You know that means there is a spirit around, right?” The brown haired nodded. “Come on, Sun. Let’s go to another room.”

“C-Chae?”

“Yeah?”

“There is something there.” He pointed to another corner. “It’s watching us.”

“Oh my god.” The girl walked faster, practically dragging Sunwoo. Opening and closing the door quickly once they were near it and took a deep breath.

“Let’s keep going, we have four rooms left.” The boy didn’t say anything and just clung to her right arm.

They reached the door down the hall and entered.

It was peach black as well, but there were two lanterns shining brightly on the floor. They grabbed them and continued.

Everything was okay until Chae felt something fell on her hair. Scared, she stopped walking and reached for it. It looked like spider webs, which made her scream, she hated spiders.

“What happened, love? What’s that?” Sunwoo asked preoccupied.

“I-it’s a spider web. But it looks abnormally big.” Her face turned white as a sheet. “Please tell me there isn’t a huge spider above us.”

The boy pointed at the ceiling and quickly lowered the light.

“There definitely isn’t a huge spider above us.”

“Sunwooo, you need to lie better.” She whined.

“I’m sorry, babe. But I’m nervous.”

“I know. But anyway, how are we going to escape without us being its next victim?”

“Let’s duck there and wait until it moves further.”

They quietly squatted and crawled towards the coach that was in the middle of the room.

They could hear like a tapping sound near them. When it was far enough they ran as fast as they could but Sunwoo got trapped in the sticky substance.

“Chae! Chae! Chae! Help me.” He shouted in despair.

“Oh my god! Give me a second, Sun!”

She turned around and jumped the webs that were laying on the floor until she was next to him.

“Let’s get out of here first.”

Since he was covered from head to toe, she grabbed his arm and pulled him, guiding him to the exit.

“Holy shit, that was horrible.” She spoke as soon as they were out.

“Tell me about it.”

The boy wiped his eyes and face with his hands and pouted.

“This is never coming off.”

“I don’t think so.” His girlfriend giggled. “Come on, two more and we’re done.”

“Can’t we just look for a way out?” Sunwoo asked pleadingly. “They keep getting worse and worse.”

“Okay, let’s do that and if we can’t find it we’ll have to keep entering the rooms.”

“Nooo, I don’t want to.”

“I know you don’t want either but if it’s the only way out we won’t have a choice.”

The boy just sighted. “Fine.”

They walked for a while, looking for the Exit sign that this houses normally have.

Not finding it, they looked through some doors, quickly closing them when they saw something creepy.

“This is taking foreveeer.” Sunoco whined.

“I know. Oh! Look!” Just a few feet away was a big door that had spray painted the word “Exit”.

“This seems suspicious but at this point, I don’t care.” Chae had a point but the pair was exhausted and just wanted to leave the place.

“Let’s just be careful and quick.” She nodded.

They entered the room that had led red lights all over the edge of the ceiling. They strutted towards the other door that was a little far away. They could see that it was the real exit since it had a glass window that looked to the fair.

Sighting in relief, they continued but halfway through they heard a sinister giggle.

“What’s that?” The brown haired asked in a hushed tone.

“I don’t know, but I don’t want to find out.”

Turns out, it was a person wearing a mask and holding a bat.

They charged at the pair, making them scream in fear.

“Hurry up, hurry up!”

Chae saw the bat almost hitting her right arm, and leaped to the left. Since she wasn’t looking where she jumped, she landed hard on her left foot, making her wince in pain.

“Come on, babe!”

“Ow! I can’t walk!” She cried. “My ankle hurts.” She had tears on her eyes.

Sunwoo stopped running and carried her on his arms.

And after what it felt like hours, they were able to leave the house, without dying.

“We’re not going to enter another haunted house, ever.”

“Agreed.”

“Now, let’s take you to the hospital and then order take out, okay?”

The girl nodded, hugging her boyfriend by the neck. “Thank you, Sun.”

“Anytime, love.”

I’m thinking about giving out little monsters to the neighbor kids for Halloween, so I tested out some patterns* and I think it might work! The monster on the left (with the separate arms and legs) took about 30 minutes to make, and the one on the right took about 20 (though nearly five of those minutes were spent looking for my box of noses lol)

*pattern is a strong word; I basically freehand drew some shapes on a doubled over piece of fabric, sewed it, cut it out, and finished off the plushie from there

Inktober Day 15: Dagger

Many, many years ago, when we were both very small, I used to read my sister stories before bed. And not picture books, because that would be normal. No, I used to read her (and our brother when he was interested), stories from The Tales of Beedle the Bard. My favourite, by far, was always “The Fountain of Fair Fortune” because I like happy endings. Her favourites, however, were always the sad ones. Every time I read to her, I’d be holding back tears as I recounted “The Tale of Three Brothers,” or mild disgust as I told her the story of “The Warlock’s Hairy Heart.” Now, years later, when I saw the sketch she’d done for day 15, I was immediately transported back to those moments.

For those who’ve never heard the story, “The Warlock’s Hairy Heart” is about a warlock so worried about love making him weak that he literally rips his heart out of his chest and locks it in a casket. When he overhears people judging him for not being married, he decides to find a wife, and when he shows her what he’s done, she is so shocked that she demands he puts his heart back. The story ends with him killing both himself and the maiden after his heart rejects her love. This was one of my sister’s favourite bedtime stories. She was maybe 8 at the time.

This story is meant to teach children about the dangers of locking away feelings. I do wonder though, what would have happened if the warlock hadn’t carved the maiden’s heart out of her chest. What if she, seeing the dagger, had stabbed his heart first, before he was able to put it back in his chest. Would it have darkened her own heart? Or would she have simply killed a monster and moved on with her life? What would be the lesson then?

A/N: ofc! yall i should keep my mouth shut bc i make too many promises i cant keep. HALLOWEEN IS SOON BTW AAAAAA

Content: stuck in a jail cell with your unfortunately idiotic subordinates, fluff, crack, mafia work, reader is MEAN, a little romance w chuuya, dazai may be ooc but i like to think that in this kinda dynamic he acts more like a normal teen, slight soukoku, smoking, lots of swearing, NOT PROOFREAD‼️‼️

"Missss.. [Y/N]s smoking."

You slap the lanky boy's shoulder harshly as you shove the cigarette box back into your sleeve, watching as your other subordinate's face contort in surprise as Dazai mockingly whines. "Ow.." he rubs his shoulder with bandaged fingers, the ginger next to him looks at you with amusement and confusion. "Where the hell did ya get that?" he asks, you sulk in annoyance from the whining bastard beside you, "Up your ass." a quiet click of the tongue from the ginger can be heard as you defy his genuine question.

Unfortunately, these two are your subordinates, your partners in criminal work, your associated murderers in the underground business. Even though Double Black is all scary and terrifiyingly violent, you thought they were a pair of funny, immature and idiotic assholes.

Dazai Osamu, a lanky, greasy boy wrapped in bandages, loved dying. Yes, he wanted to fucking die, but he doesn't. You sometimes question his skill of staying alive after that many suicide attempts, but it's alright, you suppose. The mafioso had messy brown hair and wore massive suits that did not fit him and constantly smells like dog shit. He claims he has a silver tongue with women but the only woman he 'has' is the front-desk suicide hotline lady. If somebody ever asked your opinion on him, you would answer.. "He's.. interesting."

Next is Chuuya Nakahara, a short, but strong arrogant boy who is frustratingly brutal. Veeery brutal. He's extremely competitive and takes every minor activity as a sweat-inducing challenge. Karaoke is a pain when he's screaming his ass off, simplistic cooking or baking is horrifiying because this shithead works like he's donating food to charity as if his fatass isn't going to inhale everything afterwards, and any sort of video game was devasting, any one.

He had short ginger hair and stormy azure eyes. His fashion sucked until Koyou, a fellow superior of yours knocked some sense into him. Chuuya had a rather small figure but fairly muscled. Yeah, he flexed his abs (ribs) in the mirror randomly. The boy loved fedoras, chokers and classic, fancy clothing that made girls scream 'DAMON TORRANCE 😍‼️' under his Instragram posts. If someone were to ask your opinion on him, you'd say: "He's an alright guy," with a shrug.

Some dumbass landed you three in jail for a reason you'd rather not speak of, and now you have to deal with the aftermath of waiting for your 'beloved' guardian, Mori Ougai to come bail you three out.

"Mackerel," Chuuya jabs Dazai's side, intensely glaring at him. "Why'd you get the guard's attention? I could've smoked." he hisses, causing the taller boy to snap back at him with an eyeroll. "Nah it's fine, I don't have a lighter anyway." you mediate the tension, boredly playing with the flimsy cigarette box in your hand. The redhead scoffs a little, leaning back in the concrete seat of the jailcell, impossibly manspreading further. "We could use Dazai's hot ass breath as a makeshift lighter.." Chuuya suggests with a smirk, the lanky teenager sassily scoffs, "Or rub pipsqueak's oily hair until it catches fire."

"Like- how would that make a fire?" you retort in amusement, "Have you ever been to a science class?" Dazai and Chuuya shrug in sync unshamefully,

"Was busy protectin' gangsta kids."

"Missed most of middle school 'cause of an attempt."

...

"Fair enough," you shrug back, fixing your hair. "Y'know, Boss is gonna kill us when he gets here." you add on, leaning your head against the prison wall. "I know, I'm not fuckin' prepared," Chuuya copies your movements beside you, loosely throwing an arm around your shoulder. Dazai's eyebrows knit in amusement and embarrassment at the sight, "Pipsqueak, you are NOT smooth." the ginger almost glitches as he flew away from you at those words, now chasing the brunette around the jailcell.

"'Playfighting between you guys is a fuckin' hazard, even for the mafia." you mumble, placing the unlit cigarette between your lips to feel the sensation once more. "This isn't playfighting! I'm gonna kill his ass!" Chuuya pants between missed kicks thrown at Dazai. "That's why [Y/N] thinks you give 'dog vibes'!!" the brunette retorts, bringing up a previous conversation based off you psychoanalyzing your coworkers.

"Why you!-" the smaller boy curses, flying off a wall aimed towards Dazai's head. "I'm not wrong though!!" you fling your arms up in surrender, smiling cheekily as Chuuya rolls his eyes. "After this fuckboy, you're next." You swallow thickly in slight fear. You swore you could hear walls crack and floors thump at the loud commotion, drowning out the poised footsteps towards your cell.

"Sir, are these your children?"

A kind, petite policewoman points to you three fighting like rabid animals. Mori Ougai, your tall, diabolic and terrifiying boss smiles fakely, watching his underlings fight in pure irritation.

"Unfortunately."

The tall brunette immediately halts as the ginger almost decks him in the face. Your hands stay frozen in the air as if you've been caught instigating a chicken fight.

Dude, you are so fucked.

Upon request (and because you're all amazing at them), I have a NEW Sanderstober art prompt list for you this year! Feel free to do one, some, or all of these prompts for October! Take em in any order you feel & use the hashtag #Sanderstober2022 if you’d like me to see your creations! Hope you all have fun with these if you take em on!! 🎨

Day 1: Starting out with a traditional classic, take a character from media or OC and draw how they look on September 30th vs. how they look on October 1st.

Day 2: Time to shine the light on the articles of clothing we all love to bust out in the fall, by CHOOSING one of those items and making a monster based on it!

Day 3: It is announced, beyond all reason, that they’re going to add a NEW suit to the deck of cards, in addition to hearts, clubs, diamonds, and spades. Disregarding how much this would destroy the structure of most card games, what is this new suit called and what does it look like??

Day 4: Centaurs are half-man, half-horse. Draw another kind of fantastical creature, that’s half-man, half ANOTHER kind of animal! - Idea from Dominic!

Day 5: Take a typical children’s nursery rhyme… and create a thriller poster based off of it…

Day 6: Design Challenge - create a stylish look (clothes, makeup, whatever you like) based off a candy of your choice!

Day 7: There’s a Pokemon based off almost everything. But not everything. Take a random object, animal, etc. that a Pokemon hasn’t been based off yet… and create one, complete with a corresponding name!

Day 8: Take any piece of Western animation and re-imagine it in anime form. - Inspired by an idea from Dominic!

Day 9: Take any traditional Halloween monster and think about what TikTok challenge they probably would take on. Doesn’t even have to be a real one!

Day 10: A dabbling in minimalism. Take one or several characters from one of your favorite pieces of media, and try to depict them using only simplistic shapes. See if you can get people to guess the characters or show/movie/video game from the shapes and color schemes.

Day 11: Always a fave prompt of mine - depict a pleasant fall-related memory of yours using solely fall-related colors (red, orange, yellow, brown, etc.)

Day 12: What if Halloween took place at another time of the year than Fall?? How might the holiday look different? Are there any traditions that might change? Any imagery? Any houses decorated differently??? Depict any aspect of the holiday that may look different!

Day 13: Another fave of mine - Take ANY Disney character and depict what they might look like as a superpowered individual in the Marvel universe.

Day 14: It happened again. This time, they announced a NEW chess piece that would be added to the game of chess. Why are they doing this?? Once again, disregarding how much of a wrench this throws into the gameplay of chess, WHAT does this new piece look like? What is it called? And how does it move on the board?

Day 15: Re-imagine any Halloween monster or thriller movie baddie… as a character in a fantasy world…

Day 16: Using just inspiration from items found in your kitchen, use them to create a flag for a new country - Idea from Tammy!

Day 17: Draw a dynamic duo in a dynamic couples costume (Jessie & James from Pokémon as the front and back half of a horse, etc) - Idea from Cambria!

Day 18: My first prompt where I can take Inspo from Our Flag Means Death! Take any character from pop culture who isn’t a pirate… and design what they might look like in a pirate universe. Basically… pirate-ify them.

Day 19: Taking inspiration from the Haunted Mansion paintings, where the top of the painting looks pleasant only to then pan down to show the situation is much more grim (give it a Google if you need a reference!), create your own version of one of those paintings! - Another idea from Cambria

Day 20: The return of a classic… take any character(s) from a piece of media and depict them in the style of a Tim Burton character. (Sorry, I just love what you all create with this prompt!)

Day 27: Since this would probably make Remus happy… if it makes you comfortable, draw a nightmare you remember having in your life, and instead of it happening to you, depict it happening to Remus

Day 28: Since we did the opposite prompt earlier… take a superhero and depict who they’d be in any fairytale you think suits them…

Day 29: Take any Halloween/ Scary movie monster and draw a suit/dress/suitdress inspired by their style and color palette!

Day 30: At long last, it’s revealed, the reason behind ALL THESE ADDITIONS to traditional games (the fifth card suit, the new chess piece, the additional Clue guest) was ONE NEW EVIL MASTERMIND! Based on your past creations for Day 3, Day 14, and Day 23, draw what this mastermind looks like and give them a name!!!

Every day of the month has an assigned prompt. The real challenge is to try and create something new for each day and each prompt.

But, of course, that is an ambitious goal! There are easier options.

If you...

create only one thing, or two, or three

only create something for two or three of these prompts

create something for a prompt but post it a few days later

don’t follow the prompts at all

...you’re still participating —as long as your creation is about Louis de Pointe du Lac, as portrayed by Jacob Anderson.

And Louis's character exists in relation with others, of course! So your contribution could be a portrait of the entire du Lac family, a playlist about one of his romantic relationships, a comic about his relationship with Claudia from her point of view, etc.

If Louis is at the heart of your creation, then your piece is in the spirit of this event.

This challenge isn’t limited to fanfiction or fanart!

Your contributions as a fan don’t have to be restricted to the most usual mediums. Beyond fanfic and fanart, some things that you may decide to create include: fanmixes, moodboards, gifsets, photomanips and graphics; fanedits and AMVs; meta and analysis in written, audio or video form; poetry, music, a blog post about your headcanons, your meta, or your favorite fanworks; and anything else you can think of.

Your creations can be related to your own or others’ existing work as well —if, for example, you want to use one of the prompts to add to an existing fanfiction series, or as inspiration for fanart of your favorite fic, that’s totally within the scope of this challenge!

You can start working on your creations for this challenge with as much (or as little) anticipation as you like, but remember to hold off from sharing them until the event starts. And, if you are taking inspiration from a prompt, we encourage you to share your work on that day.
