Several Sentence Sunday

I haven't written in the past several days (the fic I posted last night has been completed for awhile) but I did work on my soulmate au recently, so lets have some pre-smut sentences from that.

Alex heads straight for Henry’s. He gets into the apartment building behind another resident who recognizes him and Alex is thankful he doesn’t need to be buzzed up. He takes the elevator up to Henry’s floor and practically sprints for the door. He knocks rapidly, his eagerness getting the best of him. Henry opens the door, seemingly surprised to find Alex standing there. He’s changed into his plaid lounge pants and a worn t-shirt. It’s the first time Alex has seen him in something so casual, so comfy, so inviting. It’s the first time Alex has wanted to rip Henry’s clothes off and feels like he actually can. ��You’re back,” Henry says, his brow furrowing a bit. “Are you alright? You seem–” Alex steps through the doorway, directly into Henry’s personal space. He tilts his head up, his lips hovering so close to Henry’s. “I want to kiss you,” Alex whispers, sounding much more composed than he feels. “Thank fucking Christ,” Henry groans, leaning in to close the gap and press their lips together.

He grabs the stranger, pinning him against the wall with a forearm to his chest and the needle-sharp point of the stiletto against his throat. The skirmish knocks away the man’s hat, revealing dark hair, and the man raises his hands well away from his gun belt, a low and rumbling, “Whoa, there,” tumbling from his lips. Henry presumes he’s used this same tone to calm skittish horses and disarm men. “That’s quite the hello.” “Be silent,” Henry hisses, pressing harder on the man’s chest. “Why were you following me?” The stranger tilts his head and gives Henry a smile, which would be downright arresting under other circumstances. “Well, which is it, sweetheart, silence or answers?”
