The Atacama desert in Chile has become a ‘global sacrifice zone’ of used fast fashion. Activists and designers organised an event to raise awareness of the devastation to the land and people
Brazilian stylist Maya Ramos designed the collection – around the theme of the four elements, earth, fire, air and water – from items dumped in the site
Each outfit symbolises different types of pollution and the impact on the environment.
