Tales From The Pizzaplex Story Preview (Five Nights at Freddy's: Obsolete)
Tumblr media
As I had announced in my previous post, I will be adapting certain stories from Tales From The Pizzaplex, and I had decided to write out the previews for each story. As I had said before, the stories won't be adapted word-for-word, but will be referenced to an extent or have elements from them picked out and arranged to fit better The Untold Story canon.
Note, the previews are not listed in chronological order.
#1: Lally's Game: Story #3: Under Construction
When Fazbear Entertainment attempts to attract new patrons with their AR Dome attraction, only to disappoint them by keeping it ''Under Construction'' for far longer than it should be. Sam decides to investigate the issue, only to learn that someone is already inside the AR Dome.
#2: Happs: Story #1: Help Wanted
When Matt brings up the existence of the Five Nights at Freddy's video games and their lore, everyone begins to question how a random game developer would have access to such information.
#2: Happs: Story #2: HAPPS
Happs, a new animatronic built to assist the Daycare Attendant, ends up seemingly missing somewhere within the inside playground. When Sam and Springtrap decide to find him, they are met with a grisly discovery.
#3: Somniphobia: Story #2: Pressure
After finding a spare springlock suit at the Urban Legends Role Play Auditorium, Springtrap decides to investigate the matter. His investigation leads him to a suspicious Pizzaplex employee who seems to have a concerning interest in the children that visit the attraction.
#4: Submechanophobia: Story #2: Animatronic Apocalypse
Sam and Matt get invited to the Fazbear Fan Club, a club in their high school whose members are dedicated to solve the mysterious and complex lore behind the Five Nights at Freddy's video games. While Sam refuses, Matt accepts, curious about their activities. What starts as a fun game suddenly comes to a grim conclusion when some club members want to have a real FNaF experience.
#5: The Bobbiedots Conclusion: Story #1: GGY
When Sammy comes across several arcades that have an unusually high score, he decides to investigate the player behind those scores, GGY. However, as Sammy, Michael and Elizabeth attempt to learn more about GGY, they make a very disturbing discovery. Who is GGY and why does everyone involved with him disappear without a trace?
#5: The Bobbiedots Conclusion: Story #2: The Storyteller
When Fazbear Entertainment decides to take shortcuts with its creative development by using an artificial intelligence, The Storyteller, as a new form of entertainment, Vanessa and Glitchtrap take advantage of the new system set up gain control over the whole Mega Pizzaplex.
#6: Nexie: Story #1: Nexie
When a series of glitches almost causes a full shutdown of the Mega Pizzaplex, Sam is forced to work overtime to ensure that the animatronics work properly. However, when she discovers that someone has been sneaking around the Buddytronics Boutique, the situation quickly becomes a race to save a little girl from her Buddytronic friend.
#6: Nexie: Story #2: Drowning
One should not dwell in the virtual reality for too long, or else they might become permanently trapped. When Michael loses sight of his siblings during a game of hide-and-seek, he comes across a VR attraction that has already claimed one victim. Will he become the next one?
#6: Nexie: Story #3: The Mimic
Sam and Matt learn that Hurricane is once again plagued by a string of mysterious murders, with the murderer preferring to tear apart its victim's limbs and hiding its identity inside mascot costumes. At the same time, Springtrap comes across an old man, Edwin Murray, who seeks to redemption for the mistakes he committed in the past, unaware of the connection he might have with the former co-owner of the Fazbear Franchise.
#7: Tiger Rock: Story #1: Tiger Rock
Relieved to see that The Storyteller being taken down, but also aware of the possible damages, Sam attempts to focus on her work, when another accident involving a white tiger with a green and blue eye inside the VR booth happens. Fearing that Glitchtrap has already spread his influence, Sam goes on to confront the animatronic known as Tiger Rock.
#7: Tiger Rock: Story #2: The Monty Within
After being convinced by her friend Cassie to go on another date, Emma picks the Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, her daughter's workplace. During a game of Fazcade Tag-Team, her date starts acting erratically, with Emma ending it then and there. However, she soon finds herself dealing with stalker who is obsessed with her and has a familiar red mohawk hairstyle.
#8: B7-2: Story #2: Alone Together
Sam has never minded her involvement with the supernatural, not even when she had to deal with the children from the infamous Missing Children Incident. However, it is a completely different matter when the spirit in question doesn't even know that he is dead. Even after offering him her help, things don't go as planned. Also, what are those entities that are stalking the corridors of the Pizzaplex?
#8: B7-2: Story #3 Dittophobia
Hell is not a place, but a state of mind and varies from person to person. For Elizabeth, it is her death at Circus Baby's hands and desire to make her father proud. For Sammy, it is his battle with the Nightmare Animatronics and death within Fredbear's jaws. For Michael, it is the destruction of his family and the guilt he carried for years. For William, it is the inevitable confrontation with himself and the repetition of his past mistakes. When they realize that the past is repeating itself, they are forced to make a stand.
Still, this Hell claims another victim - Sam, who refuses to be abandoned again.
Tales From The Pizzaplex: The Mimic Epilogues #1-8
Ricky's Wonder Shack had been standing abandoned for months, so naturally, it becomes a place of interest of a group of teenagers who want to investigate it. Unfortunately for them, the abandoned restaurant already has a resident, who still needs to complete the task he had been given:
''Break off limbs and heads. Pile them up. Easy peasy. Got it.''

Happy 9 year anniversary of Five Nights at Freddy's.
For on this day, 8th August 2014, the first Five nights at Freddy’s game was released for Windows.
That's 9 years, 16 games, 63 stories and an untold amount of dead children.
How far we've come.
A game that was Scott's last ditch effort.
And now Help Wanted 2 is coming out, Ruin just came out and the movie is coming out before Halloween.
Never would have seen that coming.
Not back when it was just 5 missing children and your only task was to escape the night.
When William was Vincent.
Their was a pink guy running around.
Foxy was thought to be a good guy.
Their was still a possibility of the box being open.
Refreshing the websites source code to get the real story.
Scott releasing games early and being such a troll.
Every animatronic had to have it's toes and buttons counted.
Phone guy being the most important thing in the franchise.
Before remnant, fazgoo, Faz-wrench's, Springtraps and Miketraps.
Before Cassidy and Charlie, before funtimes and Glamrocks.
Before paragraph 4, the bite of 87.
Before the pieces are put in place for us, and why would the tiny toy Chica be missing a beak.
Before it was all a dream.
This is where it all began.
And I can't wait to see what comes next.

(Verse 1)
In the dark of night, whispers, secrets untold,
Five Nights at Freddy's, stories to unfold.
In a pizza place, animatronics, they roam,
Lost in time, nightmares you can't disown.
(Chorus)
Nightmares unchained, voices screaming from the past,
Five Nights at Freddy's, haunting shadows that last.
Come survive, survive, dancing with the fear,
Nightmare after nightmare, the truth becomes clear.
(Verse 2)
Freddy the bear, poised with a wicked grin,
Bonnie the bunny, guitar strumming within.
Chica the chicken, her song fills the air,
And Foxy the fox, lurking, ready to scare.
(Bridge)
Eyes wide open, every corner conceals,
Five Nights at Freddy's, fearing what time reveals.
Lights flickering, tales of ghosts linger on,
Survival's only chance, gotta rock 'till it's dawn.
(Chorus)
Nightmares unchained, voices screaming from the past,
Five Nights at Freddy's, haunting shadows that last.
Come survive, survive, dancing with the fear,
Nightmare after nightmare, the truth becomes clear.
(Verse 3)
A security guard, one job, but troubled mind,
Figuring out this mystery, what will he find?
Locked in battles, the clock ticking so fast,
Hoping the night's end will bring peace at last.
(Chorus)
Nightmares unchained, voices screaming from the past,
Five Nights at Freddy's, haunting shadows that last.
Come survive, survive, dancing with the fear,
Nightmare after nightmare, the truth becomes clear.
(Outro)
Five Nights at Freddy's, memories intertwined,
A legacy of battles, forever etched in the mind.
Nightmares may fade, but their echoes remain,
In the hearts of those who dared to face the pain.
Nightmares unchained, we'll never forget the game.
WHAT!? THATS AMAZING!!!!

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
(I applaud you if you get the refrence.)
Anyways, here. Have some Fnaf Fic.
Feels so Bright
Chapter One & Two
Rating: Teen for now
Fandom: Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breech
Warnings: None really. Not kosher to any real endings of the game, and def. Not ruin.
Summary: After the infamous night of a ten year old child being stuck in the Pizzaplex overnight and causing untold chaos to the place in less than six hours; Vanessa understandably needed a few days off, and you were happy to fill in (not that you were given a choice really.) Except the main technician for the Glam Rocks had been fired (or disappeared, depending on who you asked) and so you were also assigned to their restoration as well as maintenance and upkeep of the staff bots.
As if that assignment isn’t large enough, Freddy tells you his version of the Incident, which makes things even more complicated as you start piecing puzzle pieces together. The bear animatronic, after seeing all his friends be warped by a virus and taken down by a child he cares for, becomes rather protective of you. Especially as things… develop.
These feelings are just because you’re both lonely, right? Once things go back to normal, surely they’ll fade away.
Vanessa had needed a few days off, which was completely understandable after the stories you heard. Granted, the events that had precluded that mini vacation had been far less believable. You couldn’t really differentiate what was rumor and what was fact from the emails-- both professional and not-- but three things that affected your job the most seemed to be in agreement.
One: Vanessa was on medical leave for at least a week. Whether or not it was because of ‘demonic possession’ or a ‘mental health crisis’ or something else was unclear, and frankly none of your business anyways.
Two: Billy, the head mechanic of Parts and Services, was gone. Some cited corporate espionage, others stated he was part of the demonic cult or whatever that had affected Vanessa and disappeared under unusual circumstances. Again, why Billy was gone was none of your concern.
Three: Three of the remaining for Glam Rock animatronics were in various states of ‘disrepair’ (ie: little more than scraps of metal.) Whether or not this really was due to a ten year old boy or not was not your problem.
“What the fuck,” you swore as you looked at three animatronics that had been more or less destroyed, racking your brain on where to start because that was your problem. With two more of the very few remaining human staff suddenly gone, you had suddenly found yourself with a lot more responsibility. As if being the technician of the western arcade and all Staff Bots hadn’t been enough -- with two of your five day schedule being flipped to night shift so Vanessa could have a few days off. You were now scheduled to the nightshift until further notice, and also put in charge of getting Chica, Roxy, and Monty back into working order.
“Foul language is not permitted in the Fazbear complex,” Freddy Fazbear himself scolded you as he entered the main area of Parts and service-- answering the call you had put out to him via your fazwatch earlier. Apparently he hadn’t gone unscathed by the ten-year-old either. You tilted your head, confused by his usual baritone voice more… staticky than usual before remembering that he had Chica's voice box that was decidedly not calibrated to run his usual vocal settings.
“Sorry Freddy,” you sighed, rubbing your face as you looked over at him. Besides Chica's voice box, he also had Roxy's bright yellow optics, and Monty's alligator-like hands-- all because a ten year old decided to play Dr. Frankenstein with the animatronic bear. Then besides the ‘upgrades’ given to him, he was looking rough around the edges with dirt, oil, and even a few dents marring his body. “It's just… this is a lot to take in, ya know?”
Despite the intense glowing eyes, there was still a hint of his usual tenderness as he gazed at his friends--his brethren. “Indeed. It is a very… complicated situation that I'm still rather perplexed by.”
Poor dude. You sighed as you booted up the old computer adjacent to the Protective Cylinder. You were acquainted with their sentience, and was delighted by it. Especially after working with the staff bots. You could see a spark in a few of the Staff Bots, but they were still leagues behind the main four.
But to go from ‘waking up’ and gaining sentience, realizing their place in the world to this… well, had to be traumatic to say the least.
“Same, my friend, same. But for right now, how about we get you fixed up and back to yourself?”
You could see his shoulders relax as his stolen --borrowed, you reminded yourself; Roxy would have them back soon enough-- eyes shifted their gaze to you. “I would very much appreciate it. My programming doesn't like using this equipment. And I--”
He trailed off, gaze becoming distant as his hands clasped each other. Or tried to-- Monty's claws didn't adjust right for Freddy's soft little quirks. He seemed to realize it at the same time, looking down at his hands almost forlornly. “I'm not particularly fond of the idea of having my friends' parts installed.”
“I bet not,” you sighed as you led him into the protective cylinder. Already the parts the aspiring Doctor Frankenstein had removed were waiting--all of them thankfully in one piece and unharmed. Freddy automatically sat on the chair, relaxing as if this was just a routine check, while you sat on the rolling stool brought from your own office.
“Well start with your hands and work our way upward, okay?” you said for his benefit as well as your own. You had worked with Freddy once since starting, and at that time he had not been himself.
So working on the superstar when he was with it and aware was just slightly daunting.
“Sounds like a wonderful plan,” he said, tilting his head to give you one of those signature smiles that was probably meant to reassure you. Instead, it just reminded you what was at stake.
Granted, replacing these parts would be easier than when you had to get that damn virus out of his system.
You rolled over to his side and took one of his hands in your lap, deftly undoing the locks and latches. Most of the parts for the Glam Rocks were ‘plug and play’ which made things easy. But while the basic calibrations the computer wanted was child's play --literally proven now-- actually doing the indepth work was a bit more complicated.
“... Do you believe you will be able to help them?” Freddy asked while you fine-tuned his arm back into working state which involved having your work pad (proprietarily named a fazpad because everything had to have the word Faz in it) linked to the wires within to adjust the multitude of sensors.
You looked up from your fazpad to him, then to the other Glam Rocks on the other side of the plexiglass. It still felt like a stab in the heart to see the three like that, when just two days ago you had enjoyed one of the performances while on your lunch break. They had shone in every sense of the word in the spotlight, their music catchy despite being toned down for the kids.
“I'm going to do my best,” you finally answered. You wanted to say yes, to reassure the worried look in his eyes…but you didn't want to lie either. This was well beyond your usual tasks, and the only man who knew the four inside and out disappeared. And the three Glam Rocks were heavily damaged.
Even if you did fix their bodies, and managed to repair the software… would they still be themselves? Or was that ‘spark’ of life gone from them?
Despite the pain in his expression, Freddy gave a soft smile as he met your gaze. “That's all I ask for, superstar.”
You smiled back with a self-conscious burn to your cheeks. “Not used to the positive reinforcement Fredbear,” you quipped as you turned back to your work. “You're going to give me a complex if you keep that up.”
“A person needs plenty of positive reinforcement to let them know they are valued and accepted as they are.”
“Are you pulling that from your protocol or something?” You snorted as you closed up the paneling to his arm. “There, how's that feel?”
Freddy opened and closed his hand a few times, twisting his wrist and even briefly flaring the built-in lighter at the end of his index finger. “Much better. As for your previous question, yes I was.”
Your bark of a laugh echoed in the cylinder as you rolled around to his other side to repeat the process. “Well, my positive reinforcement is usually Maps recognizing me and not offering a map, and good ol’ 86 managing to say a joke right.”
86 was, of course, the Comedy Bot. You could remember the majority of their designations, but had long given up thinking others would. Thankfully, being an animatronic, Freddy had no problem searching the database to know which one you were referring to. “I had noticed their comedy routine was improving.”
“Mmm,” you hummed doubtfully. The bot was… not good at jokes, or anything comedic in nature for that matter. But you appreciated Freddy's… optimism. “Granted, it would be hard for it to get worse at this point. I'm having difficulty with getting them to change the candance in their voice, and it's getting to the point that I'm starting to think they just don't want to. 86 quite liked their assignment before, and being stuck on a stage isn't something they enjoy. I've thought about seeing if any of the others would like a crack at it instead…”
You were lost in your thoughts, body on autopilot as it switched out Freddy's arms. The staff bots were your pride and joy--even if no one else appreciated them. No one else could see that their own AI was slowly learning and improving, mainly because it was overshadowed by the other animatronics.
But you could see it, and it caused maternal pride to see them discover things outside their coding.
“They all seem to appreciate the care you show them,” Freddy spoke, jolting you out of your thoughts. “To be honest, I had been a little envious that their technician showed such compassion and care, especially after you were able to patch me up last week.”
Your cheeks burned as you shifted in your chair, pointedly ignoring his gaze. “I, uh, well, thanks. And hey, I mean with Billy gone, you'll get the same attention now.”
“I will greatly appreciate your assistance and care,” Freddy said earnestly as you finished up his hand. He automatically flexed it just like the other, though there was no candle-lighter in this paw.
He suddenly booped your nose, surprising you out of your thoughts yet again. His smile met your confused look. “You are truly a superstar,” he said, and the burning in your cheeks only worsened. You were not used to positive feedback, let alone said so earnestly with such heavy eye contact.
You had a feeling you were going to have to get used to it… or at least get used to being so flustered by the animatronic bear.
“Ready for the rest?” You spoke awkwardly as you distracted yourself by pulling the trays holding his original voice box and eyes closer to his chair. “Or do you want a break?” You glanced back after a moment of silence, and saw Freddy still looking at you, head tilted inquisitively. “What?”
“Sorry, I'm not used to having a ‘break’ offered to me,” he admitted, sounding rather embarrassed himself.
Yep. Forget the corporate sabotage and whatever else, Billy was an asshole. “I know you're not human, but still! If I'm doing prolonged repairs or whatever I offer a break in between tasks. Some of my guys get a little overstimulated if I keep working on them without giving them a breather.” Maps, for one. And some of the caution bots. Maps would start his verbal tic and only get worse, and the caution bots…
They would whimper like children. And scream sometimes in a way that would leave you with nightmares. So you did your best to coddle the little guys and keep them happy.
Freddy's smile returned, just as wide as before. “Thank you, but I think I am able to continue, if you are, that is.”
You grinned and made a show of flexing your arm. “Always, big guy.”
Replacing his voice box and eyes required a little bit more concentration. You also couldn't do it sitting down, but rather had to lean over the bear to reach his upper chest.
You weren't sure if it was some protocol or what led Freddy to curl his arm around your back, but the warmth of it helped stave off the ache from prolonged leaning. you rested your weight against him more and more, feeling comfortable with the touch as you fiddled with the fine wires for his voice, and then calibrating it to sound normal.
“Can you sing a few lines for me?” You finally asked. A regular talking tone was easy-- singing was another ballpark. One you were not used to calibrating, so you were expecting to have to try a few times.
Yet the voice coming from the speaker was beautiful as before. Just a hint of that deep baritone that caused your stomach to twist as he sang a few lyrics to you of one of their love songs. Especially considering his eyes were focused on you, hand still placed on your hip.
“We spent hours together, laughing and playing
Never thought I'd find my soulmate in the western arcade
But somehow, it just feels right
With you holding my hand, it all feels so bright”
Of course, that was one of the more difficult songs with the variance in range, but still. It felt far too intimate for you, and you found yourself both relieved as well as disappointed when he finished. “Well, that'll certainly please your fans,” you managed to push through the lump in your throat.
He gave you a smile, and you even saw his ears give a little wiggle. “Oh good, thank you. It feels much better to have my voice back.”
“I bet,” you quickly closed back his chest plate before fixing his bowtie (fabric but with a magnetic clip that helped lock evefything in place.) “Are you ready for your eyes? Or do you want a break?”
“I'm eager to proceed. I honestly don't know how Roxy dealt with this additional visual data.”
You paused at that, tilting your head. “What do you mean?” You could see why the boy had thought Monty's arms and Chica's voice box were useful (well, if he somehow knew about the glitch) but Roxy's eyes? Other than glowing faintly, they didn't actually function differently.
Right?
“They allow me to see past various objects, such as walls,” Freddy explained as his gaze drifted to the wall that separated you both from the remaining glamrocks. “It gets rather confusing sometimes as I am not aware there is a wall in front of me until my proximity sensors alert me.”
You paused as you looked at him. “... you mean you have x-ray vision?!”
His brows furrowed quizzically.“No, I do not believe they are emitting any type of radiation, though I suppose I am not equipped to monitor for such things…”
You groaned as you rubbed your face. What had Billy been up to? Why would he give such a thing to an animatronic?
Why give Monty claws that could shred anything? Why tinker with Chica's voice box? Such a glitch as hers could probably be rectified quite easily with recalibration…
And then there was that damned virus. The damn thing kept trying to infect your bots, but your antivirus kept it at bay.
You had cleared it out of Freddy last week, warned Billy that he needed to scan the others, and he had just brushed you off.
“Ya know what, I don't want to know.” You would deal with that once you got Roxy up and going. “Let's get you your baby blues back, okay?”
“I would appreciate that very much.” There was a smile on his face before you opened his face plates, barely noting the party-horn honk when you pressed and held his nose to release the lock. Your thoughts were too deep amd.somber to enjoy the silly noise.
There was no mistaking how Freddy held on a little tighter as you unhooked the wires to his eyes, but you refrained from commenting. If you had swapped places, you would feel a rush of panic at suddenly being blinded too. You couldn’t exactly hold his hand through the process either, so you had no qualms if he wanted to wrap his arm around you. (Completely ignoring how safe and warm the gesture made you feel.)
“After this and maybe a good polish and you'll be good as new. Granted, I'm already pushing to be late for my rounds, so that might have to wait later in the night. Moon'll be giving me hell otherwise,” you spoke mostly to fill the silence. You couldn't imagine being blind and the room filled with silence would be very welcoming.
“Daycare attendant Moon can be very… frightening.” Freddy said after a moment. “I had never realized how much until last night.”
You tilted your head before realizing he was essentially blind at the moment. “What do you mean?” You knew children could be frightened by his antics at times, and he was playfully antagonistic at times. But you knew for a fact Freddy had been on the end of a few of Moon's antics, so that shouldn't be anything new.
“He attacked me,” was the last thing you expected to hear. “It was… unpleasant.”
“Moon attacked you?” You swore, pausing briefly. Moon? Ornery but harmless Moon? Yes, he enjoyed giving people a fright just for shits and giggles, but he never actually harmed people. “He's only supposed to be aggressive towards security threats…”
“I believe, since I was aiding young Gregory, he saw me as a threat.”
“But he should have known Gregory was a child,” you insisted. “Even a child in the ‘plex after hours should not register as a security issue.”
“Agreed,” Freddy said, rubbing a calming circle into your hip with his thumb. Part of you wondered if it was an unconscious act to reassure or if he even had the ability to have such impulsive actions. “However, as I stated before to the authorities and management, he along with the others were not acting like themselves.”
You worried your lip, mind caught up in a maelstrom of thoughts. You instantly thought of that pesky virus for some reason, but how could a virus do that? You assumed it was a competitor trying to steal data or something like that. Not this.
“What about the staff bots?”
“They were acting normal,” he assured. “Alerting the others when they saw him but not actively trying to harm him.”
And that fact only gave the ‘virus theory’ more evidence. If everyone but Freddy and the Staff Bots--whom you removed the virus from-- were affected… maybe this thing was more of a danger than just stealing information.
“I'm sorry,” Freddy spoke, drawing you from your thoughts. “I didn't mean to upset you.”
You huffed a dry laugh as you leaned in so you could hook up the fine wires of his eyes. “Are you touching me just to keep an eye on my heart rate?”
“Well, not only,” He said with a hint of humor. “I admit, I do like having physical contact with others. Especially when my visual sensors are offline.”
“Mmmhmm,” you answered with a teasing lit. “Either way, don't worry about upsetting me. I'd rather work on trying to understand what happened no matter how distressing it is versus being obvious.”
“Understood. If you wish, later I can recount everything and answer any questions you have.”
You finished your wiring and looked up as the blue irises flared to life, glowing just enough to be eye-catching. The black pupil dilated and contracted as it processed input before finally focusing on you.
The happiness in his voice as he said your name assured he'd be smiling if his face plate wasn't still open. “How great it is to see you again.”
“It's good to see those familiar baby blues,” you replied before closing his face plates and carefully locking them shut once more. “I'm sorry to say, but I don't think yellow quite matches your color scheme.”
“I believe you are right.” You stood back and allowed him to slide off the table, standing and stretching much like a human would. If a human was seven feet tall and made of metal. “Ahh, I feel like myself once more. Thank you so much again.”
“Think nothing of it, big guy,” you waved his thanks off. “Now c'mon. I got a patrol to do and I think you could probably use a recharge cycle.”
“I have enough charge to patrol with you,” he offered… which honestly surprised you. He looked a bit embarrassed as you looked back at him. “I admit, after everything that has happened, I am rather reluctant to leave your side.”
“Freddy, it's fine,” you soothed without really thinking. “I mean realistically, the most danger I'll be in is the Staff Bots trying to grab my attention. Or Moony…” You trailed off as he winced, and you recalled what he said just a few minutes ago. “Oh, right. He…”
“I hope it was just a one-off thing,” he said as you trailed off. “But I… worry that it might not be.”
“Right, right…” you worried your lip as you tried to decide the best course of action. “Well… just as long as you're sure you have enough charge.”
---+---
“You're late,” Moon crooned as soon as you stepped out into the darkened rockstar row. You couldn't see the robotic jester, but heard his bells jingling from above. “Naughty naughty.”
“I was repairing Freddy.” You defended, gesturing to the bear that stood close behind you --protectively, you might add.
“Naughty bear,” Moon added with that gravelly voice of his, no longer sounding quite as impish but more annoyed. “Misbehaved last night too.”
Freddy wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you closer, shielding your body from any possible attacks from Moon. “Please, Daycare attendant Moon, I do not wish to have a repeat of last night.”
“Then don't try to hide any rulebreakers,” Moon hissed as he suddenly dropped from the darkness, glaring with his red eyes at Freddy. In a blur you went from being in front of the animatronic bear to behind him, flash light now pointing to an empty hallway.
“Gregory may have broken a few rules, but your actions were still uncalled for!”
“He broke e v e r y o n e. He's a dirty rule breaker and needs to be punished.”
“Boys!” You shouted, trying to step around Freddy but was barred as he put his hand out to stop you. Still, you could see Moon as he hung in front of Freddy, their faces mere inches from each other. “Let's argue about this later and focus on our patrols right now.”
Moon stared at you without blinking before the wire pulled him back up into the darkness. You swore Freddy sagged in relief, even if it didn't make much sense considering his metal body. “See, everything went well,” you reassured, placing a hand on Freddy's upper arm.
Instead of being reassured, an uncharacteristic frown remained on his face, his eyes still scanning for Moon in the darkness (or perhaps he could see better than you and was watching him leave.) As if he expected the daycare attendant to suddenly appear again.
You wondered how Moon even got the drop on Freddy… okay, no, Moony was a sneaky S.O.B. But to attack and not just spook?
“Anyways,” you continued after a long moment. “I have the atrium and part of the side areas. Do you want to go recharge, or…?”
He finally turned to look down at you, eyes flashing an odd gold color you were unfamiliar with. “I’d rather remain by your side, if that is okay?”
You smiled faintly, “Far be it for me to turn down some company.”
Of course, you were never truly lonely doing your rounds. The Staff bots usually only had their recorded and preprogrammed lines for the visitors, but they did know your name, and they liked saying it when they saw you.
Like a mantra almost.
And when the first security bot saw you as soon as you entered the atrium and greeted you, your name soon echoed by the others as they paused and looked up at you. You give an embarrassed wave, used to the attention but not used to anyone else (ie Freddy) quite seeing it for themselves. “Heya everyone. Surely ya’ll got the memo that I’ll be filling in the night shift for a while…” And working on the Glam Rocks in between rounds, meaning less time for you to care for your legion.
“Affirmative.”
“Affirmative.”
“Affirmative.”
Their voices echoed down the hall like your name had earlier, no one talking over the other and patiently waiting to give their own affirmative. (Or beeps in the case of the caution bots that were present.)
“Okay then, let’s have some good nights then. No more repeats of last night, eh?”
“Affirmative
Affirmative.”
“Take a map.”
You glanced over to Maps that appeared by your side… nothing in their hand. “You don't even have a map out, Maps!”
A flick of their wrist and a map was in their hand, which they promptly used to bonk you in the face with. “Please take a map.”
“Maps…” you growled as they continued to press the map to your face. “I swear to god, I will find a way to give you an asshole if only so I can shove--”
Freddy called your name, sounding completely scandalized. Right, he wasn't used to your bantering.
You shifted to look up at the bear. “It's not that I mean it. And Maps knows it.”
As if happy to prove they didn't fear you in the least bit, Maps hit you against the side of your head with the map. “Take a map.”
“Still, foul language--”
“Isn't permitted, I know,” you sighed. “Um, I should warn you, you're going to be forced to say that a lot if you stick around me.”
His face shifted into a deeper frown, and your gut twisted with guilt. You did try to control yourself, but half the time you just got caught up and..
Pop. Out comes ‘unprofessional’ language and mannerisms that kept you from advancing your career. Or keeping friends for that matter. Sun had a problem with it, but thankfully you dealt with Moon more, who saw it as an excuse to pull his shenanigans. And your bots no longer bothered to reprimand you unless they felt ornery or annoyed.
“Alright, back to work.”
--+--
Patrolling was a silent affair after that, broken only by the occasional greeting of a security bot or cation bot. The various areas were quiet, devoid of any life besides them, which was a good thing… and also still unnerving to you. Working a rotating shift schedule made you realize how busy during the day it got, and then how lonely at night it felt.
“Just gotta check the bowling alley, and then we can return down to P&S,” you stated, mostly to break the silence.
Except Freddy paused, making you stop as well. “I… will wait out here for you, if that’s okay,” he stated, looking up at the glowing neon sign of the bowling alley, ears drooping downwards. It took you a moment to realize the sadness in his expression; akin to the look that he had as he looked at his fellow Glam Rocks, but somehow far deeper as well.
Bonnie had disappeared shortly before you started, and long before you realized how human the Glam Rocks were. You never thought about putting the two pieces of information together before now, considering your focus was always on your staff bots and the caution bots. “Oh. Er, does it bring up bad memories?” you asked without thinking.
Freddy blinked before shaking his head. “Not bad memories but good ones, yet they still cause me to feel sad. Bonnie and I were very close, and while it’s been several months now, the pain is still there.”
You reached across the space between you and wrapped your hand in his, causing him to look down at you in surprise. You offered a sad smile as you squeezed his mechanical paw “I'm sorry… Grief can take forever to heal, most certainly more than a few months.”
He squeezed your hand softly. “Thank you, superstar.”
“Well, you can either stay here or go ahead to a charge station. I mean, I'm not going to be too long.”
Freddy shook his head, “No, I’ll wait out here for you. Perhaps I am being paranoid, but I’ve had too many friends injured. I don’t want to lose another.”
Oh. Your heart squeezed a little atop that. First Bonnie, and now the rest of his bandmates? You could easily see how he could turn paranoid. “Okay then. I’ll hurry.”
It was difficult emotionally to untangle your hand from his and leaving him behind as you entered the bowling alley, to the point you paused before the entrance to look back, and gave him a small wave that he happily returned.
Was he truly happy? Or just putting up a front not to worry you--as well as others?
Just another question on top of the growing mountain of issues you wanted to work on.
One such issue greeted you as a bunch of caution bots congregating--yet again-- in front of the maintenance closet just inside the entrance of the area. The maintenance door was jammed and hadn’t been accessible for months, but since there was nothing of any importance in there no one had bothered to fix it. Yet for some reason, the caution bots liked to gather in front of the door as if it was a hazard.
“Really babes,” you questioned as you shone your light on the five sitting in a semi-circle around the door. “Gonna make sure no one gets in that broken door?”
There were little beeps, lights flickering in acknowledgement. You sighed, mindlessly patting one on their ear-like lights before moving on. A few more security bots scanned the area, greeting you with your name as soon as they noticed you. But otherwise, the large area was empty and devoid of life.
The conversation with Freddy echoed in your mind, making you wonder what it was like before. If this place held a lot of memories, did the Glam Rocks gather here during their downtime? Or was Freddy especially closer to the blue bunny animatronic, and the two would spend time bowling a set, or hanging around the ice cream parlor where the lone Circus Baby bot tended, wiping down the counters until they gleamed and spared you only a faint look.
Did she miss the animatronic as well?
What did happen to Bonnie? Billy said he was decommissioned, others stated he disappeared, and Fazbear industries were happy to cover it up like everything else. You may have only worked here for a few short months, but considering the last week, you could easily believe the mega corporation would plow over every incident the same way.
Deny. Cover up. Distract the masses with other more positive publicity.
Was it really okay to keep working for this place after realizing that there were shadowy workings in the background? Knowing you were likely just another cog in the machine?
As you went back to the main atrium, the caution bots chirped at you, and left their damaged door to surround you, beeping as they fought over nudging your hands. You couldn’t help but laugh before taking turns rubbing their yellow-light ears, and hearing them chirp happily.
When they had their fill of attention, you exited and had a moment to appreciate Freddy in the gloom, the faint frown on his face as he looked over the Atrium in silence.
No. Even if you were a cog in a horrid machine, these guys had no one else. Especially right now. You could endure for that--for them.
“Bowling alley checks out!” you announced, breaking the heavy silence as you stepped next to Freddy, your hand finding his once more. “C’mon, let's go get you a charging station and I’ll start working on plans to get the rest of the crew up and running.”
The surprise of your sudden appearance faded from his expression, replaced by a smile as he squeezed your hand. “That sounds like an awesome plan, superstar.”
Chapter Two
The virus was in all four animatronics.
You chewed the end of the stylus as you reviewed what you could-- the antivirus you had used to keep your staff bots safe from the damned thing kept your pad free too…
But god, getting that damn thing out of Freddy last week had been a pain in your ass. The damn thing seemed to know as soon as your program had detected it and would shift. Hiding itself in a different branch of code. And if your program had isolated just part of its code, it could replicate what part you delete.
You had to find it, isolate all of it, and delete it in one fell swoop.
How many staff bots had to be destroyed before you could manage it on their simplistic code? And comparing their code to the Glam Rocks was like comparing a children's book to something like War and Peace.
You rubbed your face as you set to work disconnecting a centralized computer from the network. The last thing you needed was the virus to get into the main network.
Hell, you should probably run your antivirus on the network too, just to be safe. And all of the other computers hooked to it. “God-fucking damn it,” you whined as you flopped back in your chair, hands over your face. Just when you think you had at least a little handle on things.
“Foul language is not permitted at the Pizzaplex.” You opened up an eye to see Freddy, with impeccable timing as always. “...You were not exaggerating when you stated you used foul language frequently.”
“No, unfortunately,” you sighed as you sat up properly and spun the chair to face him. “Have a good charge?”
He smiled brightly despite his earlier admonishment. “Yes. As always, being fully charged feels very refreshing.”
Your smile was brief, fading as you took in his grimy appearance. “I bet a wash would do you good too, huh?”
He looked down at himself, and chuckled awkwardly. “Perhaps. I am quite… dirty.”
He was, but you were the one with a dirty mind, barely holding your tongue from the thought that popped to mind.
“Yes you are, you dirty bear.”
“Let's a--Let's just getcha down to the showers while the antivirus does its work,” you said instead, turning back to your computer with a burning face. A few quick commands typed into the computer had it working on the least damaged animatronic-- Chica.
Well, her body was going to be relatively easy. Her shell was cracked, her beak missing, but her endo overall was still in good condition, as well as her core cpu, so you had high hopes.
But that damned virus… you had no idea if it would damage anything in its wake.
You turned back and saw Freddy crouched near Chica, ears drooped and a forlorn expression on his face. “I am so sorry, my friend…” he whispered, holding her hand for a moment.
Your chest squeezed at the sight. “It might take me a while, but she'll be right as rain eventually,” you said, trying to sound positive. “Her and the others.”
Freddy stood and offered you a smile. And it this time you were certain his smile wasn't as happy as he made it to be. “I have faith in you. I will do my best to be patient.”
“I won't blame you if you get impatient,” you reassured as you stood and took his hand. “I couldn't imagine having friends so close and so far away.”
“Do you have any friends nearby?” He asked innocently as you led him down the corridors and through the maze of halls that would eventually lead to the showers. Meant for employees, but they would work.
You mentally winced but instead squeezed his paw. “Yeah, got one walking right next to me. I mean. We haven't known each other for very long but we seem to get along pretty well. Granted, he could probably get along with anyone, truth be told.”
There was a flash of surprise before he laughed, head tilted back and everything. Butterflies erupted in your stomach from the warm rich noise. “Oh, sorry, I just was not expecting that,” he apologized through chuckles. “I am honored you call me a friend so quickly, but that isn't quite what I meant.”
You shrugged your shoulders and decided to roll with it. “Well, there's 627 there,” you pointed to the security bot doing a sweep down a branching hall. “And some of my little dudes,” you gestured to some caution bots dutifully standing near a freshly mopped floor. “And 1k50, and 1k95…?”
The cleaner staff bot in question looked up, “S.T.A.F. F. Bot One thousand and eighty-five.”
“Right, sorry! 1k95 works at El Chips, don't they?”
“Affirmative.”
“You've memorized all of them?” Freddy asked, sounding astonished--but also taking the distraction without even a smidge of hesitation.
“Not all of them,” you admitted. “But a lot. It helps that there is a system for assignments, like the 600s are Security assigned to the back rooms. 1ks are mainly either cleaners or waiters. I know the few Maps by sight, but they all like being called Maps so that's easy enough. The caution bots are harder but they like being anonymous and allowed to move from station to station as they please.”
Freddy's hand squeezed your again. “I failed to realize how considerate you were. That is truly thoughtful.”
You fought back the blush and shrugged your shoulders. “I'm good at memorization, and these guys put up with my shit--”
“Foul language--” Freddy's jaw shut.with a snap, but you could faintly hear his voice box continue with the rest of the prerecorded message, which made you giggle.
“My point exactly. Somehow most of the Staff bots figured out how to turn that message off when they're around me. Even they got tired of it apparently.”
“Hmm, I wonder then if I could do the same. While I am not fond of curse words, I don't like repeatedly interrupting my new friend.”
You could feel your face warm at that. Why did it take literally the smallest of compliments to make you flustered? (Because you were severely lacking in the whole positive reinforcement area.) “You're too nice, Fredbear.”
“I don't think there is such a thing as ‘too-nice’,” he shot back, surprising you. “Though judging by the increased heart rate and skin temperature, I realize this may be embarrassing to you, so I can stop if you wish.”
You cursed inside your head. The staff bots didn't have those kinds of systems, so you had forgotten the glam rocks could sense such things. “I-it's not that I'm embarrassed,” you lied. “Just, uh, not used to it.”
“...so you don't mind it?”
You laughed --albeit nervously-- as you reached the showers. “Do I mind you being nice to me? Absolutely not! That's part of your charm after all. Right?”
You shot a smile as you finally let go of his hand and worked on getting the supplies you had stuffed in the maintenance closet out. You often came down here to give the Cook and waiter bots cleanings at least a few times a week. Towels, special cleaners for grease and grime, and then protective wax to try and keep future spills from sticking. All tucked away in a bucket that you carried to one of the benches that lined the middle of the room.
You pushed your sleeve up and stepped up on the bench, barely eye level with Freddy as he followed your silent gesture to come closer. “Alright, so I'll spritz and scrub you down, then have you step in a shower to rinse off before I apply the wax coat. I don't think a quick rinse should affect any systems…”
“I am able to be submersed up to a hundred feet or for a duration of three hours,” he confirmed. It was odd to be at eye level at him, meeting his eyes instead of having to look up at him.
“Perfect.”
As it turns out, you find Freddy's ears are rather ticklish as you rub them with a cloth, his hands holding on to your waist as you lean both up and over to reach them. You can feel his paws tighten slightly and his voice box occasionally letting out a chuckle despite him doing his best to keep his mouth closed.
“I can't believe you're ticklish,” you grin as you move his hat onto your own head for the time being and sprayed his head and rubbed it down with a scrub pad.
“I actually have a few ticklish areas where my sensors are especially sensitive.”
“You gonna tell me where they are, or is it gonna be a surprise?”
How robotic eyes can look impish, you'll never know. But they sure did as he met your gaze “I find surprises are rather fun, don't you? You also look very adorable with my hat on, superstar.”
The bear is not flirting with you, you had to remind yourself as your mind otherwise became blank. He may be sentient and everything, but he is not flirting with you, so shut up.
“I do like surprises. Or at least, good ones. Bad surprises--- not so much. Those can ruin a whole day.” Or week. Month. Year considering the surprise you woke up to earlier when you got an email notifying you your dayshift had been canceled and you were scheduled for both night guard duty as well as assigned lead technician of Parts and Services for the foreseeable future.
Hey, at least you got a pay raise, meager as it was.
“But, I think the hat suits you much better,” you continued. “I'll just keep it while we get you cleaned up.”
“I trust it will be safe in your hands… or rather, on top of your head.”
You tried to fight off the blush when your thoughts were suddenly interrupted as you went to wipe his nose and it squeaked like a party toy. You paused for a second, remembering it honking back when you were doing repair, but had been too deep in your thoughts to appreciate the noise.
Now, however… you were too eager to take the diversion and impulsively booped his nose again with the same results, making you giggle.
God you were so easily amused.
Freddy had a wide grin when you caught yourself, eyes literally lit with happiness. “And you have a wonderful laugh!”
“And you’re a flirt,” you stated before catching yourself. His brows raised and you felt your face heat up yet again. “Oh my god, I’m sorry. I know you don’t mean it like that. Like I said, I don’t usually get positive feedback and I have like, zero normal interactions with people, and--”
One hand moved from holding you steady to placing a nail against your lips to silence you. “You don’t need to explain yourself, superstar, it’s quite alright. I’m not offended in the least bit. But, if my comments make you uncomfortable…”
“No, no, no,” you quickly reassured, though also moved on to work, avoiding his gaze. “This is probably going to sound real pathetic--mainly cause it is-- but its been a nice change of pace. Usually I have the Staff Bots for company, and they’ve been progressing but they still aren’t as sentient as you guys. And usually when I talk to other people, all I hear are complaints. I need to work hard, faster, more efficiently. Focus my energy on what’s important and leave my side projects alone. And anyways,” you sighed as you caught yourself venting, moving from his head to his chest so you didn’t have to stand on your tiptoes to reach him. “It’s just… it’s nice to talk with you. And yeah, the compliments might fluster me a little, but I still like to hear them, ya know?”
You resisted the urge to glance upwards and try to read his expression, and instead continued scrubbing at the dirt on his casing. Slowly the cleaning-spray was lifting the grime up. Between it and enough elbow grease… he might not shine like new but it’d be an improvement.
“...I enjoy spending time with you as well,” Freddy finally spoke. “Your one of the few adults who talk to us, and don’t act as if we’re something other. I’m not sure how I would feel if you were not here, especially with the others being… indisposed.”
Your heart clenched at his admission as you knelt to get his legs. To be alone, with someone who didn’t acknowledge you? For who knew how long? Even before the Incident, there had been a plan to close for the week to allow for construction to continue unhampered, and now that the pit below was discovered… Who knew how long the ‘plex would be closed?
“I’m glad I’m here too,” you finally spoke, meeting his gaze as you stood back up. “I might be a little rusty at this friend thing, but I’m sure we can get through it together, right?”
His grin was wide and bright; full of the optimism you wished you had. “Absolutely, superstar!”
--+--
After spraying Freddy down, and then repeating the whole process on his back side --which, as it turns out, was where he was ticklish, which had you giggling along with him but also thankful he couldn’t see you blush as you wiped down the curve of his back side and inner thighs-- you returned to check on the antivirus’ progress on Chica.
You had the damn virus on the run, that was for sure. But your antivirus already had its scent (so to speak) and was hunting it down. It looked like it already had taken part of the virus’ code, and was keeping it busy enough it couldn’t replicate.
Which, again, was not like a normal virus. At all. But such was the reality of the pizzaplex. Nothing made sense here.
“Perhaps I will stay here while you patrol the west arcade…” Freddy hummed as you headed towards the Fazcade. “I still have that bug…”
“Bug? What bug?” You frowned as you stared at him. “Freddy?” You thought you got rid of the virus in his bear. What if you didn't? What if your antivirus didn't work?
If anything he looked rather awkward. “When I step on the dance floor, I… can't stop dancing.”
Snerk
You caught yourself before you let your laugh escape and instead grabbed his hand and did your best to pull him towards the arcade. “C'mon. I need to see this.”
“It's very embarrassing,” he protested, though did take a few steps forward. “Last time DJ had to literally pick me up off the floor and set me aside. All the guests were witness to it.”
“It's just you and me, Fredbear. Well, and DJ. But! I have been embarrassing all night, and I know for a fact you can dance very well.”
You saw his ears wiggle slightly, making your grin widen. “Well, only if you agree you'll dance with me.”
You felt your chest tighten and swore your heart skipped a beat. You? Dance with the famous Freddy?
Well… no one else was around. And you supposed it was only fair since you were asking him to dance.
“Okay, deal!”
You were very familiar with the western arcade considering that's where your ‘office’ was. Really, it was the repair station for staff bots from before you were hired--the damn thing demolished more bots than it fixed-- but Billy had assigned you the small space even after you had made the decision to repair the bots the ‘old-fashioned’ way.
But instead of weaving through the gaming cabinets towards the red door tucked in the far corner, you headed towards the other direction where DJ was in rest mode and sleeping on the stage.
“I don't wish to disturb him if he's resting,” Freddy whispered, and you were inclined to agree. Animatronic or not, it seemed wrong to wake him. Yet as if sensing your presence (or more likely able to hear Freddy’s whisper) the DJ perked up suddenly, his massive head lifting up as his smile widened.
Freddy smiled back, waving a hello. “It is good to see you too, friend!”
DJ, unfortunately, did not have the ability to speak aloud. He could, however, send messages through the system to the other robots. So you were out of the loop as the giant robot ‘talked’ to Freddy, only able to hear one side of the conversation. “Yes, it has been too long. I apologize for that, but I was rather mortified last time… Heh, thank you friend. Our lovely technician believes I dance well also.”
“Hey,” you greeted as DJ looked towards you quizzically. “How ya doing, big guy?”
Upbeat music filled the hall as DJ bobbed his head, grin wide to convey his mood. Freddy chuckled from beside you. “He says he's doing amazing.”
You smiled up at him, “I'm glad to hear that! Things would be boring in the fazcade without our one and only DJ.”
DJ did a faux bow, making you giggle. He was friendly, if dramatic at times. “I wanted to see this ‘bug’ of Freddy's up close. Think you could set the stage?”
DJ tapped a finger to his chin thoughtfully before nodding. Instantly the lights softened as some easy techno-bop played. He could only play royalty-free, non-licensed music, but he always seemed to find the catchiest tunes… or maybe he created them himself.
Either way, no matter how you felt about dancing usually, his tunes could lure you into moving. And today was no different as Freddy's hand pulled you up onto the lit stage. Despite his size and machinery, there was nothing clunky or ‘artificial’ about the way the bear moved. You could probably wax on about poetry in motion or something else as sappy if you had the time or breath, but as it was both were currently in short supply.
Compared to Freddy, you knew it didn’t matter how accomplished you were in dancing, your dancing skills were horrible next to his. It felt like you had two left feet, even as he kept hold of your hand and guided you through the movements. Still, you couldn’t deny that you were having fun. A smile stretched across your lips, a laugh often echoing off the arching ceiling as Freddy spun you around, sometimes adding lyrics he was apparently making up on the spot.
All of which was not helping your growing infatuation, especially when your limbs grew tired and he easily scooped you up as he continued. “Is that enough proof for you?” He asked as he held you, one arm under your rump and the other supporting your back while you wrapped your arms around his shoulders.
“Plenty, to be honest,” you admitted as you caught your breath. “I can take a look at your systems when we get back and see what's going on.”
You had to wonder if you were imagining his fingers trailing up and down your spine, or if the movement of him still dancing was causing the sensation. “I don't want to be bossy, but I think the others require your attention more than I do.”
Despite the soft way he spoke, it was still like ice water being dumped on you, causing your smile to fall. “Shit, I-I'm sorry. You're right, of course. I need to focus.” Once again, your easily distractible nature had interfered, making you look like an idiot.
The hand bracing your back moved, and suddenly Freddy was booping you on the nose, bringing your attention back to him. “Don't worry about it, I'm happy you're so eager to help me.”
The music shifted into something slower and intimate, making you feel even more flustered as you shot a glare towards DJ, who was smiling widely and moving his head to the music. You had an inkling if he could, his eyes would either be twinkling, or he'd flat out give you a wink.
“Well, can you dance towards the edge of the dance floor?” You asked, pointedly ignoring DJ. Instead you watched as Freddy's brows furrowed in concentration.
A moment later and slowly he was able to guide himself towards the edge, though not without a little back and forth. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to be able to take that one last step down, but kept skirting along the edge, and you could feel a faint growl resonate from his chest in frustration.
DJ was too engrossed in the music to be of any help, and you wanted to test something out anyways. You wiggled in his grip, getting loose and causing him to frown. You didn't want to give him any warning, so you merely smiled widely.
And then fell backwards.
Freddy shouted your name as you slid from his grasp. The next second was a blur between falling freely before being swept up again --rather painfully crushed against the animatronic’s chest as he stumbled off the dance floor.
“Are you injured?” He spoke, the faint thrum of his fans kicking into gear to keep his system cool barely audible over the music. “That was an unsafe move. Even from this height, falling on your neck could--”
The bear quieted as soon as you put your fingers to his muzzle, still grinning. “You're off the dance floor and no longer dancing.”
He blinked before looking back towards the now empty dance floor, and then to DJ who was grinning and offered Freddy a thumbs up.
Yet his eyes narrowed when he looked back towards you. “As much as I appreciate your assistance, and I sincerely do, that was still a foolish action. Your safety is far more important.”
“I knew you would catch me,” you both defended and tried to reassure at the same time. “Safety is number one, after all. I figured it would override any other protocols that were glitching out.”
There was a hint of a smile before he grew serious once more. “When working on the others… please don’t be as certain. Whatever virus or glitch has eroded their protocols and may harm you.”
“Right…” you sighed. “So, Moon wasn’t the only one who attacked you?” It was hard enough to think Moon as being violent, but the others?
Okay, Monty and even Roxy you could kinda see. But Chica?
“It’s… complicated.” Freddy gently set you down. “The others did not go after me, but they appeared to want to harm Gregory. It wasn’t as if they saw them as a security threat either. They were aware he was a child…”
What kind of virus was this?
“You wanna walk and talk?” you asked, holding your hand out for him to take. If anyone asked, you would defend that it was to help ground and reassure the animatronic. Definitely not because you had quickly grown attached to the concept of having a hand to hold. You weren’t touch-starved at all.
Liar.
Freddy accepted the offer without hesitation or even a questioning look. After bidding DJ goodnight (and promising to stop by again soon) you walked hand-in-hand through the maze of arcade machines in a meandering path towards the backrooms of the fazcade. It would have probably made you have butterflies… if it wasn’t for the story he was telling you in between acknowledging the dozens of the Staff Bots that stopped to greet you.
None of this makes sense. It was the mantra ever since that first message, and only becoming more and more true the more you learned. The story of a trapped child running around and causing chaos was changed into a scared but determined preteen determined to figure out a plot that turned darker and darker the more you learned.
And Vanessa? Brainwashed like a Manchurian Candidate? How? Why? You hadn’t even known that was a thing outside of sci-fi or horror novels.
You were barely aware of reaching your office, or even slumping into the office hair while Freddy hovered almost nervously as you tried to make sense of everything. Yes, you had heard the rumors of missing children, but had assumed they had been runaways and families were blaming the mega-corporation to be at fault, if just to ease their own conscience. And yeah, the virus had made the Staff Bots glitch and occasionally become dangerous, but not… focused and deadly like what Freddy recounted.
And that thing was in the system. The firewalls and protections you had installed on your bots and Freddy literally saved a life tonight.
But how many had you failed? How many more would have died if not for that kid’s bravery?
Who would even orchestrate all this? And why?

End notes:
I included the dates that videos were published on since Jack likes to mess around with anniversaries.
Title changes were also listed (Jack sometimes changes these as well, like the firestarter that he is, and this was especially the case with the first episode of FNAF: Sister Location)
-----
If there’s anything I missed, please let me know so I can add it! As a note, I don't add 'suspicious videos', because there would simply be too many - this list is strictly for full ego appearances and glitches. I also try to limit my glitches since if nothing else happens, it might just be an effect by Robin and doesn't necessarily mean anything.
I hope this list helps out anyone who’s new or those who would like a complete reference list!
If you are new, don’t feel overwhelmed by the amount of stuff on the list. I know from experience that it can be a lot to take in, but don’t worry. Just take things slow, and don’t hesitate to message me or anyone else if you have any questions about the egos or past videos. There are a lot of super nice and incredibly smart theorists in this community who I’m sure would be more than happy to help you out.
Speaking of theorists, I’m gonna tag a few since they have some amazing theories of their own! I'll also put some additional info next to some of their names since their posts have been a big help to me as a theorist. :)
@fear-is-nameless (would heavily recommend their 4 timelines on ego events, as they contain links to a lot of posts/theories from the time)
@rogue-of-broken-time (lots of good theories)
@isa-ghost / @isas-theory-wall (Isa writes notes on every ego video and their theory wall blog is solely dedicated to theories)
@huffletrax (lots of good theories)

Five Nights at Freddy's: Obsolete, Night 22: Five Nights at Freddy's: Restart
Tumblr media
''We're waiting every night to finally roam and invite newcomers to play with us, for many years we've been all alone. We're forced to be still and play the same songs we've known since that day. An imposter took our life away, now we're stuck here to decay. Please let us get in, don't lock us away, we're not like what you're thinking! We're poor little souls who have lost all control and we're forced here to take that role! We've been all alone, stuck in our little zone since 1987! Join us, be our friend, or just be stuck and defend, after all you only got – Five Nights at Freddy's! Is this where you want to be? I just don't get it, why do you want to stay? Five Nights at Freddy's! Is this where you want to be? I just don't get it, why do you want to stay? Five Nights at Freddy's, oh…''
– Five Nights at Freddy's by The Living Tombstone (Five Nights at Freddy's)
xXxXxXx
If there was one word that could describe the current situation in Springtrap's mind, it would be ''surreal''. After so many weeks of waiting, Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex was celebrating its opening day, and he and Sam had arrived a couple of hours earlier as instructed to help out with the animatronics and S.T.A.F.F. Bots. They were currently standing on the upper floor at the lobby, staring at the entrance and observing the crowd that impatiently waited outside.
Sam had traded her dark purple and black uniform she wore at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria for a new one, consisting of a red short-sleeved T-shirt with a logo featuring Glamrock Freddy's head over her left breast pocket, with the words ''Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex'' underneath it, and silver words spelling out ''TECHNICIAN'' on her back, along with the logo of the Pizzaplex, black slacks and a name tag hanging on the black Glamrock-themed lanyard around her neck, labeling her as ''Samantha Blackburn, Animatronic Technician''. She had also kept her brown hair tied in a high ponytail with a purple scrunchie. Currently, she was on her smartphone, talking to Matt.
''So, we got about 10 minutes left until they open this place. How's the situation outside?'' she asked, having put him on the loudspeaker so Springtrap could hear their conversation.
''Uh, wild I suppose?'' Matt replied. ''I mean, people were showing up in costumes back at Freddy's, but I didn't expect that there would be so many cosplayers here. There are a bunch of families and kids, but I can see teens and even adults waiting alone or with their friends.''
''I'm not really surprised by how things turned out. Fazbear Entertainment was really aggressive when it came to advertising the Pizzaplex. They even added an update to Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted, that allows you to enter a code to get a coupon for a free meal if you buy the game,'' Sam noted.
''They have certainly put more effort into this place than any of their other location. Even Circus Baby's Pizza World hadn't this much promotion,'' Springtrap said, reminiscing of the past for a moment.
''Well, I'll be seeing you two soon,'' Matt said, cancelling the call. Sam put her smartphone back into her pocket, glancing at Springtrap with a questioning look. He gave her a soft smile.
''I'd be lying if I said that neither me nor Henry had ever expected that Fredbear's Family Diner would ever expand into something like this,'' Springtrap said, pointing vaguely at the lobby. ''This place is the first Entertainment Complex of its kind.''
''Do you think that Henry would be happy to see what has become of Freddy's?'' Sam asked. Springtrap took a moment to think about it.
''It is hard to say. Henry did love the franchise we had created together, and I suppose he would be quite proud to see that people are still coming to Freddy's, even if it's a different location, to eat and have fun. However, Henry was never really an ambitious man, and was quite content with just maintaining Fredbear's Family Diner,'' Springtrap explained.
''I suppose you were the more ambitious one,'' Sam said.
Springtrap nodded, continuing the story, ''I had managed to convince Henry to push forward with expanding Fredbear's since it became incredibly popular, and we eventually founded the company that would become Fazbear Entertainment. You already know the rest of the story, though.'' Springtrap folded his arms across his chest, his eyes narrowing as he gazed at the lobby. ''However, after what happened at the last location and after our conversations last summer, I believe that Henry would hate the fact that Fazbear Entertainment has not only returned, but made a whole spectacle out of it. He wanted to end it all back when he started that fire. He wanted Freddy's to be gone for good and forgotten by the public.''
''What about you? Are you happy about what happened to Freddy's?'' Sam asked curiously. Springtrap hummed in thought.
''I don't believe that I can describe how I feel now as 'happy'. In fact, I'd say that 'impressed' would be a more fitting word. I am impressed with the new technology the Showtimes and Glamrocks possess, and I am impressed with how much effort Fazbear Entertainment put into this new location, even though I know their policy,'' Springtrap answered, a tiny smirk of amusement appearing on his expression. ''I suppose that, unlike Henry, I don't want Freddy's to end and be forgotten. Maybe it's because I was a co-founder, maybe it's because I was responsible for its horrifying history; but I always find myself coming back to this place. Even after the fire at Fazbear Frights, when I was free to go wherever I wanted, I still returned back to the Freddy's location even though I knew it was nothing more but a trap. Admittedly, I had also figured I'd find the exit, but that doesn't matter anymore. The point is, that location was something familiar, something I had associated myself with, and I am certain that. I belonged there.'' His eyes showed a faint glow of purple as he remembered what had happened. He then turned towards Sam. ''To answer your question, yes, I do feel happy about the Pizzaplex opening. However, I'm not happy about what might be lurking here.''
Sam then glanced at the clock of her smartphone, noting how they still had a couple more minutes left, and thought back to what she had been told. As they were counting down the days to the grand opening of the Mega Pizzaplex, Springtrap had noticed that more and more people have begun visiting Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, informing a busy Sam about his observation. Mostly, it were families with young children excited to see the animatronics, but more and more teenagers had been showing up, some even dressing up as the animatronics as if they were on their way to a convention. However, that wasn't the only thing that had happened.
Sam and Matt took note that in their high school, more and more of their classmates were talking about the Fazbear Franchise and the upcoming opening of the Mega Pizzaplex. While some were interested in visiting the place to see the attractions, a good chunk of them were talking about the Five Nights at Freddy's games, mainly Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted, but also about the deleted games Fazbear Entertainment claimed to have been made by some lunatic. Some had even decided to dig into the past and found newspaper clips about the Missing Children Incident, which only got them more excited as the games were clearly based on a real event. It didn't help that those theories were fueled by YouTube videos, with some people even making songs based directly on the games, with one song even becoming so incredibly popular that people claimed it to be THE FNaF theme song.
Sam had to admit that it was quite interesting listening to all of the wild theories people were throwing out, trying to figure out what exactly the lore of the initial FNaF games was, from claiming that Phone Guy was Purple Guy and therefore the murderer, to all of the games being just a dream made up by a traumatized Crying Child, to the whole game being just a simulation made by a delusional creator. Sam also took note of the fact that no one was mentioning a glitching bunny when it came to the Help Wanted game, meaning that only the versions played by her and Vanessa contained the code for Glitchtrap inside them. At least she didn't have to worry about more people getting influenced by him… right?
''So, Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex is finally open.'' Springtrap's statement snapped Sam out of her thoughts and she looked back at the lobby, seeing the crowd coming inside, some looking somewhat unsure where to even go and just looking around, while others walked more confidently. Sam narrowed her eyes, trying to find Matt in the crowd and feeling glad that she had managed to spot him. He waved back at her, with Sam returning the gesture, not noticing that Springtrap was glaring at Matt and turning to him when he placed his hand on her shoulder. ''We should also go now.''
''Yeah, right. I was given the task to patrol all of the attractions that have the Glamrocks as mascots, as well as check on Monty,'' Sam said. From what she had been told, Victor and several other technicians would be keeping an eye on the S.T.A.F.F. Bots, since those could malfunction much more easily than the Glamrocks or Montgomery for that matter. There was also a technician tasked to keep an eye on DJ Music Man and another one was making sure that the Daycare Attendant was behaving properly. ''We'll go first to Rockstar Row.''
xXx
Matt had to admit that his first impression of the Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex was just pure amazement. Even though Sam and Mr. Afton had described the place in as much detail as possible, it was a completely different thing to experience it in person. The only reason he even knew that his whole building was the converted Machinations Factory was because Sam had told him about it, as this place was otherwise unrecognizable. He was quite in awe, but he also felt disoriented, if not overwhelmed, due to just how many things were there to look at. Fortunately, Sam did give him a map of the building, whose image he had now uploaded on his smartphone, but he still had no clue where to go first.
It also didn't help that he wasn't quite fond of the crowd, which was growing only louder and louder the further he went inside. He knew that there was no way to escape the loud volume, as once people got comfortable inside the building, it would be a constant stream of noise. While Matt preferred quiet places, he was able to handle being here. However, he needed to figure out what exactly he was going to do. The initial plan was for him, Sam and Mr. Afton to look around for any signs of the Glitchtrap virus, but something Matt noted was that the virus would not show himself so soon and probably wait for them to lower their guard. The most they could do was to be patient.
''Hi! Please take this map.''
''Agh!'' Matt was startled by Map Bot, who eagerly extended his hand, handing out a map of the Pizzaplex to the teenager. Matt just smiled back sheepishly. ''Uh, no thanks. I don't need one.''
''Take a map,'' the robot responded, still holding out the map.
''No, seriously, I already have one,'' Matt replied, holding up his smartphone for the Map Bot to see.
''Take a map.'' Map Bot was persistent though, with Matt quickly realizing that he would be stuck with this robot. However, this was now a matter of stubborness.
''Once again, I really don't need one,'' Matt replied, holding up his hands in defense.
''Take. A. Map,'' Map Bot said in a firm tone, shoving the map right under his nose, causing Matt to flinch.
''Why are you singling me out? There are other people who need maps more than I do-'' Matt started, when suddenly, two teenage girls walked past them, one of them rolling her eyes and just grabbing the map out of the Map Bot's hand and giving Matt an annoyed look. Matt just stared at her, well aware that she thought that he was just playing dumb, but he didn't care. He was just relieved to get the Map Bot off his back.
''Now, let's see where I should go first…'' Matt muttered, quickly walking away and looking back at his smartphone. ''I suppose I could go to-''
''Hi! Please take a map!''
Map Bot appeared almost out of nowhere, starling Matt once again, just to hand him over a map. Matt almost fell over into the fountain surrounding the Glamrock Freddy statue.
''Dude, I already told you that I don't need one,'' Matt told the Map Bot.
''Take. THE. MAP!'' Map Bot waved with it in front of Matt's face, only for another passing group of teenagers to reach out for the map, causing Map Bot to focus on them for a moment.
When he turned around, he realized that Matt was suddenly gone, but he did spot the teenager rushing up the stairs to the upper floor of the Pizzaplex. Map Bot just stared at Matt until he vanished from his sight. Despite his expression showing no emotion, Map Bot did feel strange, almost insulted that a visitor got away without being given a map to navigate through the massive Pizzaplex.
His eyes glowing furiously, Map Bot was making his way upstairs, determined to fulfill his sole job.
xXx
After visiting Rockstar Row and making sure that all of the Glamrocks were outside their Green Rooms, Sam and Springtrap went first towards Bonnie Bowl. As expected, the bowling alley was cluttered with people wanting to try it out, with the shoe-rental counters being crowded as the employees were trying to handle everything. It was quite novelty for the patrons, especially those from directly from Huricanne, since if one wanted to go bowling, they would have to drive all over to St. George, and with the twenty-two lanes present, it would hopefully be enough for all of the visitors. There was also a line already forming at the ice-cream parlor, with two employees handling the orders.
''It seems that things are under control so far,'' Springtrap commented, both him and Sam overlooking Bonnie Bowl from the upper area. He did glance at Sam when she didn't answer, instead focusing on the bowling alley. ''Sam?''
''I should've brought binoculars or something… Ah, there he is!'' Sam pointed at a group of children surrounding Glamrock Bonnie, who took over one lane, explaining to the kids the rules of bowling.
''Should we go to greet him?'' Springtrap asked. Sam shook her head.
''No, I don't think that's necessary. We are supposed to intervene in case he malfunctions or is broken, but from what I see, Glamrock Bonnie is doing well,'' Sam replied, watching Bonnie has he showed off his skills, getting a strike. ''Woah, I'm impressed!''
''Tch, you're impressed by an animatronic who was created to be an expert in bowling getting a strike?'' Springtrap asked in a sarcastic tone. Sam turned to him with a mischievous grin.
''How many strikes did you achieve?'' she asked, giving him a smug look. Springtrap's eyes narrowed as he gave her an irritated look, groaning.
''How about we leave? You said you wanted to visit Glamrock Chica next, right?'' he asked, trying to change the topic.
''Sure,'' Sam replied, still smiling, well aware that she just hit a nerve. From what Roxanne and Chica told her, Springtrap really sucked at bowling. Of course, the way they told her, it sounded like he was a walking catastrophe, so Sam wasn't sure how much of their story was them just messing with Springtrap.
They went over to Mazercise, which was a fitness area with a bunch of pillows in it. The area itself was basically a huge maze for people to navigate around, as well as a snack bar on the side, offering discounts on unhealthy food and drinks. Surprisingly, there weren't too many people there, just a few who wanted to find their way out of Mazercise. Wondering where in the world Glamrock Chica had gone to, both of them started searching for her, until they finally returned back to the lobby and entered Faz-Pad.
The small fusion cuisine restaurant had a menu listing things that would be sold every day and also had a jazz theme playing in the background. There were several people sitting there, some waiting for their order, others drinking coffee… and Glamrock Chica bouncing from table to table, rattling off all the ingredients they could get on their pizza.
''Of course, there is a debate whether one would want pizza with actual toppings on it or just the dough and sauce. Can you believe that? Mini-Pizza with no toppings? I mean, I would eat them regardless since it is pizza, but I would love to know what you think,'' Glamrock Chica said, clasping her hands as she smiled sweetly at the man and woman who just stared at her with a bewildered look.
The employee who was working at the Faz-Pad noticed Sam and Springtrap standing at the entrance, mouthed ''HELP!'', pointing at Glamrock Chica. It was obvious that she wanted them to remove her from the restaurant. The patrons were mainly adults and clearly not in the mood to talk to an excited chicken who promoted food that wasn't even on the menu. Sam just sighed, feeling a bit like a babysitter for the Glamrocks.
''Hey, Chica! We were just searching for you!'' Sam called out for the white chicken, with Chica being quite happy to see her. She quickly approached them.
''Really? What do you need me for? Should I go to the kitchen?'' she asked.
''Actually, I've been wondering why you weren't at the Mazercise,'' Sam said, gesturing to Chica to follow her.
''Oh, I've already gave my speech there and decided to move on and visit the other parts of the Pizzaplex to promote the food,'' Chica explained.
''Maybe you should promote food that it is actually being sold,'' Springtrap commented, with Chica giving him an irked look.
''The Pizzaplex sells pizza, therefore no matter which area I am in, I can talk about our primary dish,'' Chica replied, placing her hands on her hips as she stared at Springtrap. Sam quickly intervened.
''I think you would get more people to listen to you if you go to the Atrium. After all, that's where the main food court is,'' she pointed out.
''I had planned to do that once I was done with Faz-Pad. Do you want to come along?'' Chica asked.
''Maybe later. I still need to check on Roxy and Monty,'' Sam replied.
''Well, last time I saw Roxy, she had told me she wanted to give some children a makeover at the Glamrock Beauty Salon,'' Chica told her.
''Thanks for the heads up. We'll see you later,'' Sam replied, waving at Chica as she and Springtrap made their way towards Roxy Raceway.
''Is it just me or is Glamrock Chica way too obsessed with pizza?'' Springtrap asked. ''At least in comparison to Showtime Chica.''
''Well, we were told that her food obsession is one of her main traits. I suppose nobody thought to tone it down,'' Sam replied.
''This will become problematic in the future,'' Springtrap noted. ''She might start to force people to eat pizza.''
''Well, I wouldn't be surprised, considering what Fazbear Entertainment's policy is,'' Sam replied.
xXx
Matt took a deep breath, leaning against the wall somewhere at the Fazcade. For some reason, he had been pursued by the Map Bot and he tried to shake him off, but the latter managed to always find him. However, given how huge the Fazcade was, he was certain that the Map Bot wouldn't find him here.
Speaking of the Fazcade, it contained three floors connected with spiral staircases, with a bridge branching across the third floor, and numerous arcade machines. There were Japanese-styled karaoke rooms located on the third floor along with the security office. Located on the first floor was a big DJ arena and booth, which was manned by DJ Music Man.
''Woah!'' Matt had to admit that he was a bit shocked by DJ Music Man's sheer size. While he knew that DJ Music Man was the biggest animatronic out of all of them, this was something else. Matt had to admit that he looked quite intimidating, even though he was just jamming out to a techno tune peppered with guitar rifs that really fit the Fazcade's overall vibe. ''Maybe I should start with this place then? I did want to try out some of those arcade games.''
Matt started to walk around, observing the kids and teens who were glued to the arcades. He wondered which arcade game he should play first, noting that, while he was on a mission here, he figured that he should also enjoy himself a bit. However, as he passed through, he noted that something felt off. It took him a moment, but he soon realized that the techno tune changed. Sure, it was still similar, but this one felt more heart-pounding, as if was about to get hunted down.
''Please take the map! Please take the map!''
''Oh, damn!''
Matt turned around, panicking when he saw Map Bot barreling right towards him, his determination to give the teenager a map only boosted by what Matt came to recognize as the Map Bot's Boss Music, courtesy of DJ Music Man.
''Dude, leave me alone!''
Matt ran across the Fazcade, searching for the exit, with Map Bot following him, now feeling less like a helpful robot and more like a predator. As for DJ Music Man, he just kept jamming out to the new tune, having been inspired by the seemingly innocent events before him.
xXx
The GlamRock Beauty Salon was featured in a rocky desert area and had a barren interior. Inside it were multiple salon stations and a small stage for Roxanne Wolf, and outside, there was a play area with a ballpit, some boxes, and a swing set. Roxanne herself was inside the salon with a few little girls and boys, who wanted her to put some make-up on them.
''Of course, my fans are the best! Now, who is next?'' Roxanne said, having put the finishing touches on a little girl, her eyes covered in red eye-shadow and her cheeks now much redder. The girl looked quite happy, although her mother, who was standing nearby, rose an eyebrow at the excessive make-up.
''Hey, can you draw a robot on my cheek?'' a boy asked, with Roxanne nodding as she held up the brush.
''I can do you one better! Do you want me to draw your favorite animatronic?'' she asked, with the boy nodding in excitement, with Roxanne starting to draw a simplistic chibi version of herself with the make-up she had been given to entertain the kids.
Meanwhile, at the entrance to the beauty salon, Sam and Springtrap were just observing what was going on, with Sam commenting, ''Roxy seems to be really popular among the kids.''
''Honestly, I'm not surprised, but I assume that some people will wonder where Foxy is,'' Springtrap noted.
''Yeah, but that will be a problem Fazbear Entertainment will have to deal with,'' she said, beckoning Springtrap to follow her, as the next location she wanted to visit was Monty's Gator Golf. As they walked over there, Springtrap noted that, while Sam tried to keep a cheerful demeanor, she would fall silent from time to time, as if thinking about something serious, and her mood would darken.
''What's on your mind?'' he asked, with Sam turning to him as she snapped out of her thoughts.
''I was just wondering how long it will take until this turns into another Five Nights at Freddy's game,'' she said. ''From the notifications I've gotten, Fazbear Entertainment wanted to completely reboot the Freddy's Franchise, making sure to erase all of the animatronics that existed in the past – Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, the Classic Animatronics, the Toy Animatronics, the Circus Gang – basically everyone besides the Showtime Animatronics. However, the feeling I'm getting is that this is not a reboot, but just them restarting the same game they had been playing for over four decades. Sure, no one has been murdered, yet, but I have no doubt that we might have to deal with haunted animatronics once again.''
''Well, technically, you are already dealing with a haunted animatronic,'' Springtrap pointed out.
''I'm not counting you since you're from a different era,'' Sam replied.
''I suppose you're right, but I would disagree with you in regards to the statement that Fazbear Entertainment has completely erased their past, as they are still making light of it in their Help Wanted video game,'' Springtrap noted, only to stop as they passed by a particular hallway. He stared at the sign next to it. ''Not to mention, they literally made a museum dedicated to the past.''
Sam glanced at the hallway Springtrap was looking at, well aware that it was leading to an area at the basement level of the Pizzaplex that displayed replicas of old animatronics and props from previous restaurants, including Fredbear's Family Diner, all variants of the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, Circus Baby's Pizza World, the Fazbear Fright attraction and even the location Henry and Mike had built before it got burned down. They hadn't visited it yet, as it was still under construction, but they planned on going there once it was done.
''Yeah, you're right, but still, they will never reveal the whole truth,'' Sam pointed out. Springtrap nodded in agreement. Sam then glanced at her smartphone, checking the time. ''We should move on. The Glamrocks will have their introduction concert soon, and I want to check on Monty and Freddy.''
The two picked up the pace, eventually arriving at Monty's Gator Golf. Surprisingly, there weren't too many people there, and even those who were there didn't appear to be too fond of Monty, clearly ignoring the alligator animatronic whenever he tried to approach them to interact with them. By the look on his expression, he clearly felt quite bothered by this.
''Hey, Monty!'' Montgomery looked up, surprised to see Sam running over to him. While he knew that she was mainly here to check on him, at this point he appreciated any kind of attention. ''How are you doing?''
''Eh, I could be doin' better,'' Monty replied, placing the golf club he was holding over his shoulder. ''Do you see any players 'ere?''
''I'm sorry that there aren't too many people here. I'm sure that traffic will pick up,'' Sam said, trying to cheer him up. However, Monty just waved her off with a gloomy look on his expression.
''I don't blame ye for this. I'm just not as popular as Freddy 'n his band,'' Montgomery replied. ''I just hope my attraction won't get shut down.''
''Fazbear Entertainment won't shut down an attraction just because of its lack of popularity on day one,'' Springtrap said, speaking from a strictly logical standpoint. ''Keep in mind, you are a brand new animatronic who hasn't been shown before. It will take a while for people to warm up to you.''
''Then what about Roxy? She's just as new as I am,'' Montgomery protested.
''Roxy was created as a replacement for Foxy, and she is heavily promoted as one of the band members,'' Sam stated. ''It is no surprise that people would be already used to her.'' She then gave Monty a confident smile. ''Hey, how about this? When I'm on break, I'll come over to play a round with you and you can then teach me everything about mini golf.''
''That sounds like a plan,'' Montgomery replied, perking up a bit as he realized that he might've had at least one loyal fan.
''Sam! Hey, Sam!''
Sam, Springtrap and Montgomery turned around, only to see Matt running towards her. He skidded to a halt, taking a moment to catch his breath.
''Matt, what's wrong?'' Sam asked, now alarmed when she saw her friend. ''Did something happen?''
''I… I need your help with the Map Bot. He won't leave me alone,'' Matt said, with Sam staring at him for a moment in complete bewilderment and confusion.
''What?'' she asked in a flat tone.
''Please take the map! Please take the map!''
The group's attention turned towards Map Bot, who just turned around the corner and was speeding towards them, waving around the map he was holding. He approached Matt, shoving the map into his face.
''I said I don't need one,'' Matt replied, backing away and giving Sam a pleading look. ''See? He just won't leave me alone. I don't want a map, but this guy has been following me all around this place to give me one. Com'n, you're the technician. Could you please fix him and make him stop following me?''
Sam stared at him for a moment, then sighed in exasperation. She thought that this was a case of an actual emergency, but it was actually a situation where the Map Bot showed once again his signature persistence.
''Matt, just take the damn map and he'll leave you alone,'' Sam told him, pinching the bridge of her nose. Matt, now feeling resigned to his fate, decided to take the map Map Bot was offering him. He then looked at Map Bot who, despite his unchanging expression, seemed to be way happier than before.
''I suppose that's-''
''Hi! Please take another map!'' Map Both suddenly popped right up in front of Matt, offering him another map. Matt gave Sam a bewildered look, while Springtrap just burst out laughing at seeing Matt's misery. Even Montgomery started laughing, thinking that this whole situation was actually genuinely funny. Matt, on the other hand, just frowned and gave them an annoyed look.
''Okay, now you're just being unnecessarily petty,'' Matt told Map Bot. The latter then stopped for a moment, and Matt could've sworn that the robot grinned at him in amusement, even though he had no mouth, before leaving the group.
''I guess that's now resolved,'' Sam said, turning back to Montgomery. ''Unfortunately, I still need to check on Freddy before the concert, but I promise I'll be back as soon as possible.''
Montgomery just nodded in response, knowing that he couldn't really blame his, currently, only fan for having to do her job, and while he rather would've wanted to keep her around at his own attraction, he knew that that wasn't possible.
''If you guys are going to play mini golf, maybe I could join in?'' Matt said.
''Really?'' Montgomery was surprised, but also pleased to hear that.
''Yeah… I actually wanted to try out the Fazcade, but the Map Bot kept following me around, so I couldn't do that. So long as I don't run into him again, I'll be happy to play with you,'' Matt said. ''Although, I would need a crash course in mini golf, since we didn't have any courses in New Harmony. Not that my parents would ever take me to one.''
''I'll be happy to teach ya everythin' I know,'' Montgomery said proudly.
''That's great!'' Matt nodded. Meanwhile, Sam glanced at her smartphone again.
''I'm sorry, but I need to go now to the Atrium,'' Sam said.
''I'll see you there later,'' Matt replied, deciding to stay a bit at Monty's Gator Golf, while Sam and Springtrap quickly left for the Atrium. However, just as they got there, they spotted Glamrock Freddy walking away from it.
''Freddy! Hey Freddy!'' Sam called out for the Glamrock Animatronic, who stopped for a moment, surprised to see her.
''Sam? It is nice to see you again,'' Freddy said happily, then glanced at the bunny animatronic who accompanied her. ''You too, Springtrap!''
''I assume that you're on your way to the elevator for your big performance,'' Springtrap said.
''I am. I had actually asked Chica to go ahead, and I hope Bonnie and Roxy will join us soon. We cannot start the concert with out them,'' Freddy told them, a shadow appearing over his face.
''Freddy, are you okay?'' Sam asked, feeling a bit concerned about Freddy.
''I am functioning perfectly fine,'' Freddy replied, trying to brush off her concerns. ''Although, I do feel a little nervous. This is our first performance and I want it to go as smoothly as possible. I do not want to disappoint anyone.''
''I'm sure that you'll do just fine,'' Sam cheered him up.
''Thank you for you for your support,'' Freddy replied, smiling at her. ''I should be going now. I hope you will enjoy the show!''
Sam and Springtrap observed Glamrock Freddy as he left, with Sam glancing at Springtrap. ''So, do you want to watch the concert or do you want to take a look around while everyone else is busy with it?''
''I had figured that I would stick by your side, for now. What do you want to do?'' Springtrap replied, with Sam noting how Springtrap just dodged her question.
''It would be better for us to do some investigation… but I really want to support Freddy and his friends,'' Sam said. ''Let's just hope that nothing bad will happen.''
''Yeah, let's hope that nothing bad happens,'' Springtrap repeated, nodding in agreement.
xXx
''Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, Fazbear Entertainment would like you to put your hands together for the one, the only, Freddy Fazbear!''
Loud 80s rock music blared through the speakers as people cheered, with the platform on the stage rising and revealing the Glamrock Band in their full glory. Smoke and neon lights covered the stage, with Glamrock Bonnie, Roxanne Wolf, Glamrock Chica and the star himself, Glamrock Freddy, starting their concert. They started playing and dancing, with Bonnie, Roxy and Chica showing off their skills on the bass, keytar and guitar respectively, while Freddy ran up to the front with the microphone stand in his hand, punching the air to get the visitors even more hyped up. Cheers and chants errupted when he took the microphone off the stand.
''Welcome everyone to Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex!'' Freddy's voice boomed across the Atrium as the music still played. ''My name is Freddy Fazbear, and these are my friends, Bonnie, Roxy and Chica, and we are the Glamrock Band! We hope that you all are enjoying your time here!'' He paused for a moment for the people to respond, once again cheering and clapping for them. ''That is great to hear! I sincerely hope that you will continue to visit us, as we will always be here to entertain you! Let us start the party then!''
The Glamrock Animatronics then launched into their performance, with people singing along as much as they could. However, at the back of the Atrium, albeit close enough to get a good look at the stage, there was someone who had a different song on her mind.
Springtrap gazed at Sam, who stared intently at the stage. Instead of humming along with the rock song the Glamrock Band were performing, she was humming a different, more familiar tune – one that had been stuck in her head the whole day, and now that barely anyone could hear her, she felt safe to sing it to herself. It was Toreador March, a song every version of Freddy Fazbear would perform for the audience… save for Glamrock Freddy. Then, the lyrics followed…
''We're waiting every night to finally roam and invite newcomers to play with us, for many years we've been all alone...''
Springtrap was genuinely stunned when he heard the song after Sam introduced him to it. Someone from school has told her that a band called The Living Tombstone was making songs based on pop culture, and considering how popular the Freddy's Franchise was getting, especially with the Five Nights at Freddy's games, they decided to publish their own song and contribute to the popularity of the games.
''We're forced to be still and play the same songs we've known since that day. An imposter took our life away, now we're stuck here to decay…''
It was quite chilling just how accurate the lyrics were to the past events, all written in the belief that they just followed the game canon rather than any real life events. Of course, who would even believe the stories about the haunted animatronics?
''Please let us get in, don't lock us away, we're not like what you're thinking! We're poor little souls who have lost all control and we're forced here to take that role! We've been all alone, stuck in our little zone since 1987! Join us, be our friend, or just be stuck and defend, after all you only got–''
However, as Sam had put it now, this was just a Restart of another Five Nights at Freddy's video game. It was just another location, with another group of animatronics. There was a very real danger of the past repeating once again. So, all they could do now was to wait and observe. They could continue celebrating, but a shadow would fall over them, one stained by blood.
''Five Nights at Freddy's! Is this where you want to be? I just don't get it, why do you want to stay? Five Nights at Freddy's! Is this where you want to be? I just don't get it, why do you want to stay? Five Nights at Freddy's, oh…''

Hey! I was wondering if u had a list of all the ego appearances, because my friend was thinking about watching them! Thank you! If not that’s fine! (Also your super positive and I’m always happy to see you on my dash!)
hey! :D I do have a list! I hope this is useful! and I hope your friend enjoys the fire!! ;D
This is the order that the egos appear (ie. the chron. order of the videos!), and the order that the story so far is taking place (that we know of!) I AM missing some from October 2016 so there’s a few I’m missing, but this is the gist of the overall story! :D (

JSE Community Asks
So I've seen some ask memes go around in the JSE community recently, and for a while, I've kinda wanted to try making one myself. This one isn't centered around the egos or anything, just the channel! Hope it's fun for people– and you can send in any number of these to me as well :D
Solid Snake Impression: When did you first start watching Seán?
Survival Hunter: What kinds of games/series do you like watching him play the most? (ex. puzzle, survival, horror, silly, short, long?)
The Stanley Parable: What series have you NEVER watched?
Surgeon Simulator: Do you laugh when Seán rages at games, or do you get just as frustrated as he does?
Life Is Strange: What series can you always go back to and pick up wherever?
Reading Your Comments: What's your favorite thing about being in the community?
Shadow of the Colossus: What's your favorite series of all time?
Subnautica: Have you ever gotten a game for yourself after seeing Seán play it?
The Sims: What series can you listen to in the background while you do other things?
Five Nights at Freddy's: Have there been any games you wished he would've finished, but never did?
Fran Bow: What's your favorite horror series on the channel?
Undertale: What video/series do you think has had the biggest impact on you?
Happy Wheels: What's the longest series (in number of parts or video duration) that you've watched all the way through in ONE sitting? (If you've never watched a whole series in one sitting, what's the longest series you've ever watched in general?)
The Jacksepticeye Power Hour: Are you following ego lore? If so, who's your favorite ego and why?
Bloopers and Outtakes: What's your favorite blooper of him you've ever seen?
The Last Guardian: What's a video/series that always makes you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside?
Detention: What video/series/moment on the channel is the most memorable for you?
Night In The Woods: Have there been games he's played/series that resonated especially with you as a person? What were they?
Kindergarten: What have been your favorite voices for game characters he's ever done?
Bendy and the Ink Machine: What games are you most excited to see him play in the future?
Septicart Event: Have you made any good friends since joining the community?
Far From Noise: Have there ever been moments when watching a video that he's said something that you just needed to hear in that moment? If you're comforable sharing, what video was it?
Doki Doki Literature Club: What series has taken you the most by surprise, and why?
Human Fall Flat: What video/series makes you laugh the most?
Charity Livestream: What's your favorite part of charity livestreams? (ex. the playing games part, reading donations, hitting goals, MadLibs, etc.)
Simulacra: What series had you feeling the most on edge while waiting for the next episode?
The BOSS: If you were stuck in a video game but got to choose which one to be stuck in, what game would you be in, and why? (Optional: bring Seán with you!)
God of War: What's your favorite JSE community meme?
Tour Vlogs: If you could give Seán one thing (literally anything– a piece of art, a plane ticket, something you wrote, something from a game he's played, whatever it may be), what would that one thing be?
Stories Untold: What series have you gotten the most immersed in while watching it?
TIE: Has Seán had an impact on your mental health? (If yes answer to this can be as long or as short as you want)
A Way Out: What are your favorite collabs of his to watch? (ex. Prop Hunt/GMod, Golf With Friends, Sea of Thieves, A Way Out)
Detroit: Become Human: What game characters has Seán made you the most emotionally attached to?
Let's have some fun :D

this is only so I can share it on discord and can find it later
Welcome to Alex’s notes of Matpat’s recent video (“Game Theory: Fnaf 7, the Untold Story Of Sister Location” released 3/24/19). These are all transcribed from the original handwritten notes on a pad of lined Hello Kitty paper (purple, of course). Yes, I know, I probably put too much work into this. But if I have to suffer through a Matpat video it won’t be for nothing. Please note the presence of sarcasm marked with /s, and the following key for words mentioned below with little context.
1. Any references to a game: the VR game announced by Scott
2. “Image”, “picture”, “photo”: the teaser photo released by Scott containing the quote “Everything is working as intended!”
3. “Secret lines”, “hidden lines”, and variations thereof: the lines found in the teaser image (mentioned above) for the game
4. In addition brackets around text in the notes shows where I added additional thoughts to the original notes
Trigger warnings: Mentions/references to religion (catholicism specifically), all caps writing for emphasis, brief description of implied gore, mention of hanging
Matt is disgusted at the idea of a new game (?) [possible sarcasm]
God his intro’s changed and it’s so much worse (my ears!)
While wearing a Freddy onesie: “by all that’s unholy, fnaf is somehow back”
HE GREENSCREENED HIMSELF ONTO A BACKGROUND OF HIS OWN RECORDING ROOM FOLKS [he uses terrible greenscreen throughout the entire video.]
Very resentful about wearing “kids’ pjs”
Awful [poorly made] graphic of a schoolgirl being shoved into a headless Freddy animatronic headfirst
Nihilistic of merch in 2019
Refers to fnaf fans as “Fred-Heads”??? Why?
Suggests the new triple A game will have children stuffed into loot boxes? He might’ve been sarcastic on that one but I’m not sure [he was probably being sarcastic. I hope]
Boy is he annoyed
Analyzes teaser image and remarks that all animatronics span the game series
Knows this because of the similar nose shape between spring bonnie suits
When photo is brightened there are LINES in the background! SHOCKING! /s
Notes lines of text hidden in image [everybody already knew that. C’mon matt.]
Opens image as text file, finds “we” in front of “let something inside”
Woah he’s really trying with these graphics /s
Figures that these lines are said post 1987 & post murders
This just in: he thinks those lines in the background are prison bars
The devil works hard but Matpat works harder
Some random fazbear employee still in jail for murders [in reality committed by William Afton instead] (we been knew that one!)
Wonders if “them” [in lines in teaser image] refers to the animatronics or the fazbear corporation (no matt the them is singular and refers to me. I am the one you cannot trust. /s)
Eliminates possibility of “them” being the animatronics
Thinks that two technicians [referred to as “techs” from here] are talking to each other and their conversation is the hidden lines in the image, they’re confirming that they can’t trust their bosses
Thinks techs made mistake which led to Jeremy’s death and are now scared for their own lives
Lord almighty these graphics. Is this the evil catholicism protects me from? [BIG /s]
“Hey remember that guy? [Jeremy] We don’t wanna end up like him [dead as a doornail]”
Thinks the techs were the bodies hanged in Sister Location [SL] Night five
Similarities between Ennard’s lines in secret SL ending and secret lines
7 other [teaser] images
All point to the game being about a technician repairing animatronics
Could new game be the story of the two techs? “Yes” says the guy in Freddy footies pjs.
Mickey Mouse voice: “Oh gee! Watching this is swell!” [/s]
Hating on ESRB for leaking rating and info of new game
Goes off screen to put on shades and pick up a clock to recreate the “it’s time to stop” meme I KID YOU NOT
Lot of connections between scottgames.com source code and all other teasers (nothing we didn’t know already)
Believes techs (read: the player) will be repairing animatronics in all the locations the previous games have been set in [as in the pizzeria in FNAF 1, the house in FNAF 4, etc]
Finds typos in source code of website-0rgn-if typed into url behind scottgames you get a blurry picture that looks like ennard’s endoskeleton head [later tried to confirm if the url did come up with an image-said url being {scottgames.com/0rgn.jpg}-and I received a 404 error page instead. Not sure if I did something wrong or if Matpat is making things up now]
VR game probably coming out soon
Oh god he’s selling merch called “Chaos Theory”
Honey is sponsoring this douche???
OH GOD HE HAS MORE TO TALK ABOUT
I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN NEXT WEEK

Solid Snake Impression: When did you first start watching Seán?
In early March 2017 when I found his Night in the Woods series!
Survival Hunter: What kinds of games/series do you like watching him play the most? (ex. puzzle, survival, horror, silly, short, long?)
I love watching him play story games because I can get really immersed even if it would be hard to play the game myself.
The Stanley Parable: What series have you NEVER watched?
I know this is like heresy or something, but I’ve never watched a full episode of Happy Wheels. I’m sure there’s other series of his that I don’t know about and haven’t watched.
Surgeon Simulator: Do you laugh when Seán rages at games, or do you get just as frustrated as he does?
Kind of both? I’m thinking about Getting Over It, where we all had a laugh but it’s so frustrating even to watch.
Life Is Strange: What series can you always go back to and pick up wherever?
The only series I can watch out of order, even if I’ve already seen it, are the ones like Reading Your Comments or Will You Push The Button where the order doesn’t matter.
Reading Your Comments: What’s your favorite thing about being in the community?
We have almost no drama, and when something does happen it’s resolved in like a day. Not that we’re perfect, but I’ve never felt sucked into arguments and crap like I do with fandoms sometimes.
Shadow of the Colossus: What’s your favorite series of all time?
I’m biased towards Night in the Woods because that was my first, but Stories Untold is up there. I’ve been meaning to rewatch it.
Subnautica: Have you ever gotten a game for yourself after seeing Seán play it?
Yes! Night in the Woods (before I finished watching his playthrough actually), Monster Prom, and Event[0].
The Sims: What series can you listen to in the background while you do other things?
Things like House Flipper which are kind of funny but not brain intensive.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Have there been any games you wished he would’ve finished, but never did?
I wish he’d done more than one episode of Stardew Valley. You can’t “finish” that in a Let’s Play, but it’s a shame he didn’t get to make more.
Fran Bow: What’s your favorite horror series on the channel?
I haven’t actually watched a lot of his horror series. Probably Stories Untold if that counts as horror, otherwise Oxenfree.
Undertale: What video/series do you think has had the biggest impact on you?
In a meta sense, the NITW series had the biggest impact because it’s why I watched all the others. Watching Sean’s DDADDS playthrough was when it hit me how accepting he is, which was honestly a huge relief. Not that I thought he wasn’t, but it was still good to see.
Happy Wheels: What’s the longest series (in number of parts or video duration) that you’ve watched all the way through in ONE sitting? (If you’ve never watched a whole series in one sitting, what’s the longest series you’ve ever watched in general?)
I’m so bad about watching a lot of things in one sitting. I probably would have watched A Normal Lost Phone (two episodes) in one sitting if I weren’t watching them as they came out. I’m currently watching Detroit:Become Human, so when I’m done with that it will be the longest series I’ve watched in general.
The Jacksepticeye Power Hour: Are you following ego lore? If so, who’s your favorite ego and why?
I do follow Ego lore, but not as intensely as the true theorists because I don’t pay that much attention to background things. My favorite ego is currently JJ, though I love the others too.
Bloopers and Outtakes: What’s your favorite blooper of him you’ve ever seen?
Either “Robin! I’m drunk!” or “I need more volume in my curls.” Honorable mention: “My name Cletus and that’s my chair!”
The Last Guardian: What’s a video/series that always makes you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside?
So many? How do I even choose? I’m going to go with DDADDS.
Detention: What video/series/moment on the channel is the most memorable for you?
I almost have Marvin’s Power Hour memorized. Not intentionally, but every moment in that episode is iconic.
Night In The Woods: Have there been games he’s played/series that resonated especially with you as a person? What were they?
Definitely. Night in the Woods is the main series that did because it’s about mental illness and dissociation. Other one-shot games or moments hit me in the moment I watched them and left an impression. Sometimes I remember a moment from “What Remains of Edith Finch” and it still hits as hard as the first time even though it’s been months since I watched it.
Kindergarten: What have been your favorite voices for game characters he’s ever done?
Mae and Papyrus, but honestly every voice he does is gold.
Bendy and the Ink Machine: What games are you most excited to see him play in the future?
I hope he someday finishes the sequel to To The Moon. It’s fine if he doesn’t, but if it’s anything like the first it would be a nice heart-wrenching game for the channel.
Septicart Event: Have you made any good friends since joining the community?
Edit: I forgot to answer this one. I have made friends IRL that I probably would have had anyway, but we’ve bonded more by watching Jack together.
Far From Noise: Have there ever been moments when watching a video that he’s said something that you just needed to hear in that moment? If you’re comfortable sharing, what video was it?
I know this has happened on multiple occasions, but I can’t remember specifically. “Far From Noise” did come at a very appropriate time in my life though.
Doki Doki Literature Club: What series has taken you the most by surprise, and why?
Honestly, DDLC for obvious reasons. Life is Strange also surprised me because of how anticlimactic the ending was.
Human Fall Flat: What video/series makes you laugh the most?
The bloopers! I can’t breathe from laughing when I watch the bloopers.
Charity Livestream: What’s your favorite part of charity livestreams? (ex. the playing games part, reading donations, hitting goals, MadLibs, etc.)
I love having Sean on in the background all day while I do other things. Like he’s there and interacting with the community and I can tune in and out.
Simulacra: What series had you feeling the most on edge while waiting for the next episode?
I’m usually slow to watch series, so I rarely have to wait long. I do remember being tense while waiting for the second episode of A Normal Lost Phone.
The BOSS: If you were stuck in a video game but got to choose which one to be stuck in, what game would you be in, and why? (Optional: bring Seán with you!)
DDADDS! It’s a short game, I get to be a dad dating dads, and if Sean comes we can share custody of Amanda. I date Robert, he dates Craig, and everything is great.
God of War: What’s your favorite JSE community meme?
POSITIVE! MENTAL! ATTITUDE!!!!!
Tour Vlogs: If you could give Seán one thing (literally anything– a piece of art, a plane ticket, something you wrote, something from a game he’s played, whatever it may be), what would that one thing be?
A hug.
Stories Untold: What series have you gotten the most immersed in while watching it?
You said it! Stories Untold!
TIE: Has Seán had an impact on your mental health? (If yes answer to this can be as long or as short as you want)
Not only did Sean introduce me to Night in the Woods, which I played to get through a couple of funks, but he also indirectly introduced me to the concept of comfort gaming. Whether I’m watching him play something chill or playing something on my own, video games can be relaxing.
A Way Out: What are your favorite collabs of his to watch? (ex. Prop Hunt/GMod, Golf With Friends, Sea of Thieves, A Way Out)
Sea of Thieves is hilarious because it’s so broken and also pirates. Any time he and Robin hang out is always fun.
Detroit: Become Human: What game characters has Seán made you the most emotionally attached to?
Honestly, I think I just get attached to who I get attached to regardless. Like while watching DBH I got attached to Markus even before Sean started liking him.
