Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt

It might be the first day of Autumn in Aotearoa today; but the sun was out, high and hot in Auckland this arvo! The perfect weather to enjoy this simple as yet very good Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt. Happy Thursday!

Ingredients (serves 2):

half a dozen medium, ripe Garden Strawberries 

2 teaspoons caster sugar

180 grams/ounces plain Greek Yoghurt

Thoroughly rinse Strawberries under cold water. Drain them well in a colander.

Dice Strawberries, and place them in a bowl. Sprinkle with caster sugar, and give a good stir, to mix and coat Strawberries in sugar.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator, 1 hour, occasionally tossing the Strawberries.

Then, add Greek Yogurt to the bowl, and gently stir to mix, allowing the Strawberry syrup to swirl into the Yoghurt.

Spoon mixture into a freezable container and close well. Place in the freezer, for at least 3 hours.

Serve Strawberry Frozen Yoghurt with fresh Strawberries, if desired.

Lol. We went to dinner to celebrate my brother's birthday (a week late lol) and afterwards we stopped at TCBY for some Froyo!

My my mom, brother, and I all got these frog gummies b/c they had 3 colors. Lol. I don't don't know what theirs were like, but I had the pink & purple one and I think it was bubble gum flavored lol. Anyway. I had chocolate, white chocolate, and graham cracker. With oreos, fruity pebbles, reeses pieces, white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, and brownies for toppings. Lol. The graham cracker froyo was so good! Lol.

Lemon Frozen Yoghurt

After spending a week in the French Capital of Lemons --and not a day went by without each of us having something lemon-y, from fresh citronnade to desserts, cocktails and the complimentary (often generous!) glass of Limoncello we were brought as digestif after dinner!-- we returned with our suitcase full of Citron de Menton delicacies. Notably, a delicious Lemon Marmalade, delightfully sharp, with that hint of sweetness characteristic of the Menton lemon, and very little sugar; absolutely delectable on morning toasts. It also makes a delightfully refreshing Lemon Frozen Yoghurt! Happy Thursday!

Ingredients (serves 2):

1 cup thick Greek Yoghurt

1 heaped tablespoon Menton Lemon Marmalade (Confiture de Citron de Menton)

2 teaspoons Limoncello

In a small bowl, spoon Greek Yoghurt and Lemon Marmalade. Give a good, energetic stir until well-combined. Gradually stir in Limoncello, mixing well.

Place bowl in the freezer, at least a couple of hours for a soft-serve sort of texture, longer if you want firmer scoops.

Serve Lemon Frozen Yoghurt with Lavender and Vanilla Biscuits.

today was such a fun, wild, (sad??), goofy as day HAHA lets go! ok so i had a 9 am lecture lord 😭 then i had a FOUR hour break where i met someone that left me so ??? but idw to be close with them huhu, and then I WATCHED LOKIIIIIII HIHIHI EPISODE 3 my husband looks DELICIOUS but i was so CONFUSED?? LIKE HUH??? ok i love the scooby do style chase but plot wise i was like “???” the entire time, bro i was jump scared from Sylvie 😭 i almost shouted wtf in the library because i waa just so caught off guard. but the REAL SHOCKER…WAS MISS MINUTES…i watched… WE WATCHED AN ANIMATED CARTOON CLOCK…CONFESS…CONFESSSSSSS
