Tommy, Jason, Michael, dbd Ghostface + the sinclairs and how they'd take to face sitting >:D
Y'ALL ARE ON POINT W THESE LATELY
Thank you for adding my Sinclair boys
headcanons and blurbs again!
NSFW
Thomas
This boy LIVES to please he's the first one laying down for you on god,,,
Since he doesn't have a nose he has to make up for stimulation with some fancy tongue work
Would not think of it himself so you'll have to be the one to recommend it
"I want to try something," you tell him one night after some making out and heavy petting. He looks confused as you mount him and straddle his chest but starts to understand once his eyes lock on your cunt above his face. He starts off slow and hesitant but really gets into it as you grind on his face. You come quickly and move to get off of him, but he quickly grabs your waist and pulls you back down.
Seems he has a new favorite position.
Jason
I believe that Jason is a pussy eating champ once he gets the hang of it
Also a pleaser so he will want to do this often
also needs a little encouragement at first but practice makes perfect!
You've just finished sucking him off (which you both really enjoy) when he makes it apparent he wants to return the favor. You're always open to the idea, but tonight you want something different. He's still laying on his back so it's very easy to just crawl over him and place yourself where you want. His hands instantly come up to help you ride his face.
He will definitely be wanting to do this anytime he can.
Michael
rarely gives in and says yes to face sitting but enjoys it
prefers 69-ing so he can get some as well but it is what it is!
He's fingering you roughly as he tongues your nipples, and you blurt that you've been wanting to sit on his face. He stops completely and thinks about it for a moment, and then manhandles you atop his face after flipping himself over. Even though he's never done it in this position before, he knows those spots that make you sing. He has you coming quicker than usual.
You get flipped over and stuffed full of his cock before you even fully recover.
Danny
will be into it but mean
uses it as a bargaining tool in my opinion,,
like ill let you ride my face is you let me fuck your ass or when you're crying from overstimulation
He's the one that brings it up at first, while you're tied up and at his mercy. You're already overstimulated and tearing up from the sensations racking your body. You're untied from the headboard and he pulls your limp body into his face. You try to move off of him because it's too much but he won't let you. He moves you long enough to tell you that you can still use your safe word if you feel like chickening out.
You both know you won't, so you let him take over once more.
Bo
won't admit but LOVES facesitting
pussy eating champ runner up
I think he likes to pretend he's a big tough guy but deep down,,,, SIMP
you do have to suck his dick in exchange but honestly, that's just business babey
He comes down your throat with a grunt and watches you with a sleazy grin as you wipe your mouth with the back of your hand. He kisses you as you stand, not caring about the taste, and says "I wanna eat your pussy, baby."
He saunters his way over to the bed and lays down, his cock hardening again as he looks at you. You make your way over and go to straddle his waist to continue your night but he shakes his head.
"No, I said I wanted to eat your pussy. Get the fuck up here."
Vincent
has no idea wtf he's doing but very willing to learn
favorite position because he gets to please you and you don't have to look at his face
win/win! (for him at least)
He doesn't like to take his mask off often but does so because he loves to eat you out. He's obsessed with your taste, and would often forgo his own pleasure to focus on yours. So when you bring up the idea he's very hesitant but wants to please you over anything. You sit on his face gingerly, easing him into it. He fumbles a bit at first but grips your ass in his hands and goes to town. You come hard, and feel something hit your back and turn to find that he came just from eating you out.
Just wait until you recommend 69-ing.

Lucien x Reader x Tamlin
Tumblr media
Okay this got away from me. I literally just started writing this as a shit post, complaining about the lack of Lucien x Reader x Tamlin content and well then I made a whole smut thing. So here it is for your enjoyment. It’s not proofread because like I said, I wrote this in one sitting like I had to get it out, I’m not even sure it’s any good. Anyway I hope you like it, cuz I do lol I am going to write this all out as like a legit story at some point because it won’t leave my brain but here’s like a rough outline I guess with the fun smut part lol
Lucien x Reader x Tamlin, Lucien x Tamlin, Tamlin x reader, Lucien x reader. Calanmai event, afab reader, reader uses she/her, female sex organs, dirt talk, poly, threesomes. 🔞MINORS DNI🔞
I hate the fact that there are so few Lucien x reader x Tamlin fics. Like I know we all hate Tamlin, and I am not a Tamlin defender, but the blonde bitch has potential. And you KNOW he and Lucien “shared a woman” or just straight up fucked each other, like cmon you don’t live that many years together without fucking at some point.
I mean imagine there was a maid/neighbor/friend in the Archeron house (maid would be after Tamlin had made them rich again) who Feyre spoke to Ianthe about like she was a sister, someone who was close to them and Ianthe mistook her as a sister and had Hybern plop her into the cauldron too!
And what if SUPRISE! She was Lucien’s mate (Elain was Azriel’s and they could be happy together whatever) and she was so excited about it. Was so into him!!! And she has the ability to heal! The Cauldron gave her a gift too.
And eventually Rhysand hires her as the Night Courts head healer or whatever. He trusts her, Feyre loves her already and she is living the bliss life with her mate, Lucien.
Then Rhysand comes back from his monthly Tam Tam visit and is like “if we are gonna win this war we need the spring court to get back on its feet”
No one wants to go over there, I mean who would? But she volunteers. Lucien knows Tamlin, knows how the Spring Court runs and she doesn’t have much trauma with Tamlin (aside from the selling them out to Hybern but by Rhysands description of him, it seems like he gets his boo boo and is hella depressed about it)
Naturally Lucien is like, babe, I love you and I’ll follow you anywhere but wtf? And she is like it’s getting fucking crowded in here and I wanna do something important in this world. So they go to help rebuild the Spring Court.
It’s a mess, lots of manual labor, Tamlin is always in his beast form and rarely speaks to them at first, plus he seems annoyed they’re fucking all over his court.
They finally get everything to a somewhat presentable and manageable place. Tamlin sees his home and the work they both have put in, especially her, and something in him changes.
It all changes totally when one night she gets attacked by a Naga, somehow, idk use your imagination, and Lucien is running towards her but he knows he won’t get there in time. She’s been learning to defend herself but she’s not nearly ready enough for this.
In the last moment suddenly beast Tamlin comes outta no where and kills the Naga, then hovers over her protectively Beauty and the Beast style until Lucien can get to her. There is a moment of thanks and understanding between the three of them and from then on they all seem a bit closer.
They are spending the hours together, all three of them, Lucien remarks to her one night as she lay in his arms that it feels like old times between he and Tamlin. That makes her happy. Her husband (yes they got married at some point idk when) confesses then that he and Tamlin had a VERY CLOSE relationship and the idea intrigues her but she simply lets her husband talk of it what he wants and she doesn’t make anymore comment than necessary. They spend the next few months helping Tamlin come to terms with a lot of what has happened. Turns out she’s not just good at healing physical wounds but can give others the tools to heal their emotional ones.
Soon Tamlin is laughing with them, helping them, he’s finally falling back into his role as High Lord of the Spring Court. Then there is talk of bringing the Calanmai back. The people who have returned to the Spring Court now that it’s back up and doing better want it and if the Spring Court wants tithes they need to offer it.
Lucien’s solution is to be the stand in for Tamlin as he knows his soul will call to his mate. She bites her lip at the idea of her husband filled with this magic making him even more ravenous in bed than he already is. However, Tamlin states he is high lord, he should show his people strength and decides he wants to do it.
When the night comes though, she and her husband are drunk on wine, his hands up roaming her body when Tamlin finds them. She sees the way his eyes look at her and then at Lucien and she knows instantly. It takes her husband a moment to realize, he catches on for Tamlin’s desire for her first and his protectiveness flares. It’s only when he notices the desire for him as well that he understands. He looks to her and she nods her approval.
A heady pleasure fills her and the next thing she knows, she’s being carried by Tamlin into the cave, her husband following behind them. As soon as she is laid on the soft mat, the two Fae men are hovering over her, kissing her body and tearing at her soft red, practically see thru dress. They stop for only a moment and spread her legs, Tamlin slips one finger in her and Lucien does the same. They’ve done this together before, she thinks as they move their fingers inside of her wet heat in tandem. Then Tamlin grabs Lucien’s face, their lips collide and his tongue is diving into his mouth. She nearly comes then and there from the sight of the two men fingering her and making out with one another.
Eventually they’re all three naked and she is flipped over on her hands and knees. Her husband’s cock slips past her lips and she begins to suck. She laves her tongue along the familiar vein on the underside and let’s the drool fall from her lips. Just like he likes it.
Then she feels Tamlin, he’s behind her now, his hands grasp her hips, hard and he slides into her, clearly trying not to hurt her but also trying to keep his desire in check and he begins to pump into her.
“You don’t have to be gentle Tam, she likes it rough” Lucien purrs as he grabs her hair and begins to fuck himself on her mouth. As though his words were all he needed, Tamlin starts a brutal pace, slamming into her over and over, his fingers toying with her clit as he does.
The pleasure is mind numbing. Her husband is praising her, calling her a good girl, talking about how well she takes them. Then he calls to Tamlin “she feels amazing doesn’t she?”
“I’ve never had a pussy as delicious” Tamlin purrs as he watches his cock slide in and out of her “no wonder you moan so loudly every night”
The two men chuckle and slick pours from her. Lucien knows she loves praise, knows how much it gets her going and he’s egging Tamlin on.
“Fuck…you’re such a good girl…I love how you look with my cock around your lips….ah…whatever you want from me my love you can have it” Lucien moans out to her as his cock hits the back of her throat.
She knows him well though, knows how to get him there and soon he’s cumming in her mouth. His hips stutter and his hand in her hair twitches. As the cum fills her mouth she swallows it down. He falls onto his haunches in relief but his erection has not gone down.
Tamlin takes the opportunity and flips her over on her back and then re-enters her. “Finally I can see that fucked out face of yours and these beautiful breasts” he says as he grabs a handful of her breasts and massages them.
He’s been edging her the whole night and she’s a blubbering mess. Moaning out like an animal in heat. However things come to a whole new level as she watches her husband come up behind Tamlin and force him down on his hands. Tamlin’s pace slows till he stops, still inside of her as he lifts her hips to follow him as he presents his ass to Lucien.
She watches in awe as her husband sides into Tamlin and the two men groan in pleasure. Tamlin sits up his back to Lucien’s chest and they kiss, tongues tangling as Lucien begins to move his hips. In turn Tamlin’s hips move into her. Then Tamlin returns his attention to her breasts as he wraps his lips around one and Lucien’s hand comes around Tamlin’s shoulder to grasp the other.
Tamlin had picked up his pace in fucking her as Lucien fucks him. She doesn’t last long though and comes hard, screaming. Tamlin continues to fuck her through her orgasm and the sensitivity. Lucien’s hips are working in time as well.
Then Tamlin captures her lips and kisses her like he kissed Lucien. His tongue chases after hers and she hears Lucien moan at the sight and feels him start fucking into Tamlin harder. They both cum not long after that, Tamlin’s seed leaks out of her and Lucien’s out of him but they’re back at it again not a few moments later.
They keep like this for hours. She peaks so many times she looses track. Eventually she passes out, tucked between the two Fae men. Her back pressed against Lucien’s tucked into him like always and Tamlin’s head resting under her chin, his body pressed against her front and arms wrapped around her waist.
She wakes in she and Lucien’s bed with the two men. She starts to move but stops, her whole body is sore and tense. It seems in her waking she woke Lucien as well.
He kisses her head “good morning my love”
“Good morning, my mate” she hums happily.
She looks down at the blonde man resting between her breasts and then to her mate. “Can we keep him, Lu?”
He chuckles at her words and nods “if he wishes to be kept yes.” Lucien then tightens his grip on her nuzzling into her hair “He chose us last night because we are the only ones he truly trusts. I do not want us to do anything to break that trust.”
She nodded at his words knowing their true meaning “then it will be his choice”
Lucien hummed in agreement.
“I’d like to be kept”
The voice startled her and she looked down to see an awake Tamlin. “I want to be kept by you both” he said nuzzling between her breasts and pressing his body against hers.
“Then it’s settled” Lucien smiled “we will need to set some ground rules, boundaries and such, she is my mate so there will be a nature inclination for her to favor me and me, her but…”
“I think we will be very happy together” she smiled, like she’s just won the greatest prize and kissed the top of Tamlin’s head, then turned to kiss Lucien deeply.
They sat in bed like that for a bit, hands wandering, caressing and giving soft kisses.
“I think our goddess needs a hot bath” Lucien finally said “you’re probably very sore”
She giggled “happy but yes, very sore”
“Well that will not do.” Tamlin smiled as he kissed her neck. “I’ll go make you a bath, Lucien can carry you to it.”
“I’ll carry you anywhere you want, my love” Lucien whispered in her ear and then bit down on the top.
“Lu, be gentle” she all but moaned.
“Yes my lady” he smiled and kissed where he’d bitten.
“let’s get you in that bath” Tamlin said as he stood and made his way to the bathroom.
“Only if you both join me” she smirked.
“As you wish” Tamlin chuckled and Lucien pulled her in for a tight hug.
Yes, she would be very happy.

Hot Take: The Lion Turtle wasn't that out of left field.
Was it a deus ex machina? Yes. But it wasn't like some sudden dip in writing or like this was unprecedented and had no basis or reasoning in universe. Hear me out. This is Long.
Let's go back to book 1, specifically the book 1 finale. At what point prior to that are we told that there's a spirit that can turn into a giant koi monster and wipe out everyone? We didn't even know about the whole Tui and La thing until we are in the midst of the battle and there is no viable solution. Aang as he is, does not have the ability to solve this problem.
However, Aang is the avatar.
50% of that is having all four elements. It means mastering diciplines, practice, it's skill that you gradually improve on, it's being clever with the tools avalible to you.
But the other 50%, that I feel is too often forgotten, is spirithood, or being the bridge to the spirits. Spirits are not tools. They're explicitly shown to be things that just kinda Do Shit, and Are There. They don't care about the human world for humans' sake, that's the Avatar's job. The spirits are unexplainable. (I am ignoring Korra) Dealing with the spirits isn't something you can learn. There's not really a special technique Aang learns on How To Spirit 101.
But as the Avatar, Aang has the ability to comune with spirits, to seek them out, call to them, ask them for help, and give them help in return. Part of being the Avatar is doing things no one else can, and again, 50% of that comes from having four bending abilities, and the other 50% is his connection to spirits.
The Lion Turtle is the earned pay off of Aang's actions. Aang, like in the Northern Water Tribe, faces a problem in which neither he, nor anyone around him, knows what to do, and just like in the NWT at the twelfth hour, he turns to the spirits. He chooses to find a place where he feels connected, and calls out. He opens himself to a world outside of human control knowing that, as merely human, he is not capable.
It's the same set up.
Aang faces a problem: Giant Invasion/Having to defeat the fire lord
He does everything he physically can: Takes down a dozen ships/Masters three extra elements
But pulls back when he realizes continuing this way will destroy him: Retreats and admits hes in over his head/Refuses to commit violence with the intent to kill because that means sacrificing his values and the last remaining shreds of his people's values.
(PSA: Taking care of your mental/emotional health is just as important as taking care of your physical health)
He opens himself up to other people for solutions: Yue is just like 'you gotta dude :|'/His friends mock him
He chooses to turn to the spirits: Brings it up with Yue and Katara and Yue brings him to the spirit oasis/ Leaves the others to meditate
[Enter Magic Meditation Here]
He Goes To A Weird Spirit Place: Spirit World/Lion Turtle Forest
Fucks Around for a while as he tries to figure out wtf hes supposed to do: talks to spirits and Roku/talks to the avatars and momo (best place of advice obvs)
Finds the spirit he needs to help give him info: Koh+Ocean Spirit/Lion Turtle
Is granted sudden new powers that can solve his impossible situation: Giant Koi/ Energybending
Uses that shit
Saves the day
The end.
And I don't think this is really a cheat for him either. Aang still gives his everything to trying to fight those ships, even after seeing how many there are. He still has to go through all the hassle of the spirits fucking with him.
With the finale, he still admits to Momo that he may have to kill Ozai. He still accepts that, if literally no other solution is avalible, he'll do it even if it means sacrificing himself and his nation. He still has to do the battle to subdue Ozai and still has to risk being internally fucked by bad mojo from Ozai.
He still has to prove himself. In my opinion, he has to prove himself far more in the book three finale than book one. Book one he just kinda takes out some ships and then chats with some spirits and then the Ocean spirit does everything for him.
In the fight with Ozai, AANG had to learn all four elements, HE had to learn the avatar state (even if it conveniently got taken as soon as he did and then given back at dramatic moments), HE had to face Ozai even without the avatar state, HE still tried to reason with Ozai to the end, HE still used the avatar state (apon being gifted with a poke in the back) to fight back, HE still decided to not take the easy way out, HE still commited to and accomplished taking Ozai's bending.
He earned his use of the elements
He earned his use of the Avatar state (prior to lightning bc they couldn't have Aang be op too soon jebdjsbdn)
He continuously believed there has to be another way
He sought out solutions.
And he still had to get ragdolled some to top it off.
And as to the other Avatars' advice, and the idea that he was selfish.
He followed the wisdom of all the Avatars he spoke to.
He was decisive: "No, I'm not going to end like this."
Justice brought Peace: the firelord being rendered powerless and stuck to suffer jail the rest of his life weak and helpless is justice
He actively shaped his own Destiny: he decided how he was going to end things and shaped his destiny and the destiny of the whole world
"Selfless duty calles you to sacrifice your own spiritual needs and do whatever it takes to protect the world": to which Aang says "I guess I don't have a choice Momo, I have to kill the firelord."
The Lion Turtle did not come out of left field and Aang earned/deserved his ending.

thoughts about totk
i dont know if its just me, but does anyone else feel like the story direction for this game is kindve ... bad? like the actual plot itself was interesting at first but everytime the characters try to deliver a serious line of 'my secret stone' I can't help but laugh at them. It sounds like a mistranslation you would see in a 90's port of a game, not a multi-million dollar triple A title in 2023.
Not only that goofy nature of it but like, why is Zelda so british? No one else is, not even her dad. Why did they chose a VERY british direction for her voice and no one else? It's so distracting and every time she talks I don't pay attention to what she's saying cuz I wish she would just stop talking. (I still hold a grudge over her for feeding Link a fucking frog and then people have the audacity to be like 'oh theyre in love' like no thats fucking sibling behavior at best.)
There's so many aspects of the game where it feels like they want a very specific series of events to happen and there's a very intended player experience. But then... you can go anywhere. Do anything. You can EASILY miss important things (I missed several of the Dragon's Tears because I wasn't aware there was something I was supposed to be grabbing from them I just thought it was scenery) and you can easily find yourself in areas you're not meant to be in yet. "Just teleport out!" Why didn't they just make a linear game that wasn't built as a wanna-be DLC expansion pack?
Having to re-explore a world I'd already put 200+ hours into is frankly tiresome. And to make it THREE TIMES as large??? Exhausting.
I wanted to like this game so much. I preordered it. I went to the midnight release. I played it for six fucking hours the first full day I was able to play it. And after leaving the Great Sky Island all I'm left feeling is... frustrated.
Frustrated at the unclear, hidden direction of where you're supposed to go. Frustrated at the massive size of the map that doesn't have That Many Changes to make it worth going through the nooks and crannies. Frustrated that they turned botw -my favorite climbing simulator- into a gimmick-based game that doesn't like you to use its own gimmick.
The constructs break apart too easily. If you build a flying construct that works well it breaks after about a min and a half of flying. If you build a car to traverse the land it despawns if you hit any cutscene trigger - which are often invisible and unavoidable.
This felt more like a Zelda game in the general flavor of it; you get the classic enemies back, you get actual bomb flowers again, Link is wearing green for fucks sake, and you get actual temples. But the actual heart of it doesn't feel like a Zelda game. The plot feels sloppy at best, rushed at worst, and the voice acting is so genuinely bad it's distracting and embarrassing. The only voice actor I didn't hate was Rauru (Chris Hackney, Legend) and Tulin (Christina Vee, also a Legend), even Sidon felt incredibly stilted.
It feels like the game punishes the player for using the mechanics it gives you to use and play with. Even the fuse mechanic feels like such a back-hand. "Oh we heard the players got frustrated at weapons having a limited usage, so instead of extending it or offering a repair service, we just made Every Weapon Shitty" like wtf. And even for the fuse mechanic theres only ONE PLACE that lets you unfuse and it's through a clunky dialogue menu! (my favorite!!! totally not the reason I stopped playing acnh!!!!) I played for 50 hours and was positive you couldn't unfuse weapons. Wow.
botw was fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it and the fact that your tools were simply on a cooldown. totk feels like a resource-scavenger except the resources are so hard to actually acrue. Not only that, but I've seen other ppl complain about how much harder it feels to upgrade your equipment. As if they needed some way to bloat the game even more.
This is just me rambling about my feelings and maybe talking in circles about it but I feel annoying trying to actively discuss my feelings with anyone so I guess this will do.
I've only beaten half of the bosses and 3 of the temples, but I don't know if I'll be able to keep going. I got stuck at the fire temple boss and I would argue its the worst temple in the game and I haven't even gotten to the Gerudo one. That's just how strongly I feel about the fire temple. I hate the minecart layout, I hate the lava puzzle mechanics, and I literally rage-quited after my 10th attempt at the boss. The water temple boss was annoying but it was mostly just learning patterns and having good reaction time. The fire temple boss is JUST rng.
which sucks cuz the wind temple was sick!!!! it was so cool!!! and the boss was probably one of my top 20 bosses!!! and then I did the water temple and Sidon kept glitching out and wouldn't accompany me for half of the trip up to it, and the GRAVITY!!!! UGH!!!!!!
I'm trying to think of points of the game I've truly enjoyed and I think the highlights of it have been: got to keep Epona from my botw save. But then that turned out to be a nothing burger since you can't have her tow anything. (also the fucking towing minigame that feels so insulting. "please take us to the great fairy!" YOU COULDVE JUST WALKED ITS LITERALLY A FIVE MINUTE WALK)
uhh, other good points uhhh, the new armor is pretty cool. I really like the Ember and Miner set. I really like the cave system. (shouldn't really be a feature but whatever) and uhhhhhhhh, yeah idk. I'm struggling to find points I truly enjoyed past the introductory level. like yeah building a car is cool! ... until it despawns and you lose 40min and work, and yeah I know autobuild can rebuild it but I'm not made of spare parts. And like, the korok puzzles were cute! Until you find one every 15 min and they take at least 10 to get them to their friend.
I think the most enjoyable minigame was the one with the sign dude on the side of the road where you help him hold it up. That was one of the better, more enjoyable parts of the game for me so far. It felt like it actually tested your building skills while not being truly punishing. Just start over if it doesnt work.
botw was a strong like 8/10 for me, and I think totk is gonna unfortunately be like a 5/10. The direction is janky at best. The gimmicks of the game are viable for most of the game. Exploring the same world with minor changes is frustrating and boring. Exploring the Depths makes me want to personally throw up since I have a phobia of dark, open spaces with Things lurking inside. Exploring the sky is fun but I didn't realize you could *reuse* the sheikah tower until 45 hours in because why would I think it would let me do it again??? So it felt inaccessible and frustrating.
The ability to fuse anything to anything and have it run and work well is a technical marvel! I'm not saying its not. But does it make a good *game*? Does it make the story direction work? Does it make the boss fights and dungeons work? imo... no. It doesn't. It makes a good tech demo. It makes an impressive piece of programming.
maybe i'll have more thoughts but I just needed to get all that out.
if you read it all thanks if not you wont be seeing this lol

Dear self the conversation that continued. As I update this the next day I realize I left a lot out like full conversations in the shed that sucked that I want to talk to myself about ( honestly it's not like anyone else wants to talk about it with me) I am trying to get my thoughts together and be accurate with what the conversation contains. I am often accused of not knowing what I am talking about or not remembering conversations properly. Writing down the events even out of order might help me, I'll put them in order later.
So while still in the shed I am on the floor picking up tools and trash. Husband is irritated with me cuz I told him fuck you and I won't be doing any weed wacking today in front of our kid, I didn't yell, I was rude oblivious however he calls my rudeness yelling and says I slammed the doors and stomped though the entire house just to be a bitch, and says is he would love to hit me, he can't tho cuz he would go to jail and is scared that I would go to the crazy house afterwards.... Like wtf I told him hit me, I didn't yell I didn't threaten him I said if that's your concern it doesn't matter no one is sending me to a crazy house. He asks me if I know why he thought like that, like wtf just tell me what you think I am not a mind reader!!! Now in hindsight I realize that shit is a game he plays. I did go along and said because you think I am not stable like I said to him tho I don't think I am going so can you just tell me what you think. He tells me no it's not because you are not stable it's because you are emotionally imbalanced.... Wtf is the difference? I nod and tell him ok I am not going to the crazy house I'll be fine stop using me as an excuse. We talk some more and I walk out of the shed with him, I don't remember why yet. Inside the house he tells me he doesn't ask me to take out the trash. I say no, he says take it out multiple times to me, no please nothing just do it I politely ask one of our kids to take the trash out. He starts in on me I am not even wearing the proper outside shoes our kid was, I look at him and ask am I not allowed to tell you no? He tells our kid to take out the trash. Later he comes back and apologizes he says I am sorry I was being spiteful with the trash. He asks me if I would like to play a game with him and his friends I say no I am not ready. I tell him I need time. I feel responsible now for opening my big mouth up again. You see I have no friends to hang with, no his friends don't count as we play video games he's attached to the mic and I am on the other side of the room listening to them all talk together, yes it is nice to be included in the game but really I am just a npc, no there's no mic for me I might be in the room, however the last time we all played I sat with no one talking to me, tears falling down my face, I'm in the same room as my husband btw, feeling extremely alone just waiting for my turn in solasta. Anyways I opened my big mouth and told him he should hang with his friends I need some time it's going to take me a moment. He needs to understand I have no one to talk to I understand he's not going to talk to anyone about this stuff just hanging out or talking to other people besides the person who you were fighting with all day can regroup you I don't have that and well need a minute, I should have never opened my mouth he decided not to play games with his friends last night. He won't say why but I have a suspicion he's waiting for me to play with them now, yay me I get to sit alone and cry while he talks to his friends why couldn't he just play a stupid game with his friends and leave me alone? He's going to take the fun out of video games at least I have fps he doesn't like those, neither do his friends. Today I am supposed to work outside let's see how things go.

This is gonna change everything!!
Bullshit, well maybe it will but probably it will only shift some shit around, clear some space and help you make the next best move. So, yep this is gonna change everything and change is everything. You may be asking yourself, WTF is she going on about. Or for fuck sake, get to the point. So I will.
As we get older, shit changes, period. What used to work doesn’t. As much as we try to “keep it together” we start to notice where we are falling apart, a little bit. Maybe it’s strength, speed, libido, tolerance, hair texture or just not knowing who the kids are talking about these days. Our capacity for, fill in the blank, is becoming limited, and this may be by design. It may be that we are noticing the freedom of our history, not from our history.
Our lives and relationships become categories, an existential budget where we get to decide what we have the funds for. Now, I am not talking directly about money, although money can be the focus of the “budget”, it can also be energy, bullshit, orgasms, size, hot flashes. The point is that you know what those categories are.
The beauty of the internet is that there are so many fucking answers. Take this supplement, see your doctor, take an ice bath, take a sauna, a hot bath, cold will rob your chi, dry brush, hydrate, sleep, eat, fast you get the idea. The more you look for the right answers, the more you have more questions.
Make it make sense.
I say it time and time again (hopefully you can hear me clapping), you are the expert of your body, your lived experience. Does this mean that you have all of the answers, nope. Does this mean that your ideas are not sometimes clouded by opinions and stories, nope. What it does mean is that you know when something is not “right,” something is “off,” getting to that something, expanding, may require guidance and support. This is what coaching and the Msitresses of the Menopausal Mind was all about. Hell, this is what it means to be a doula, a nurse, a sponsor if you’re a friend of Bill’s.
It has been five years since I have been learning and sharing about perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause, not only as a nurse and provider, but also as someone going through this transition. This journey is far greater than hot flashes, metal mouth, lower libido, and night sweats. This is about money, sex, intimacy, self definition, bodies, strength, reclaiming and moving forward, finding fertile years to come.
As part of The Mistresses, experts talked to us about money, human design, sex, health and movement. At the end of this past year some folks started hormones, some got dream jobs, others felt that their intimate lives improved, one created changed the way their industry cares for folks. Friendships were made, people felt safe and started to share their experience with others in their circles. The Mistresses did in fact change everything. I changed too.
I realized that the Mistresses needed to grow. Initially, the program had no real direction. There were amazing salons, wonderful conversations, and people were very self-directed as far as what they wanted to accomplish with their experience, but there were no clearly defined "goals". It was also very long. My time budget was getting leaky with the 6 month blocks.
I decided to mentally write a SOAP note while I was in the shower, where most great ideas occur. A SOAP note is a guiding document to let people who are providers, nurses and therapists know what the pain point is, what the blocks are, name the issue and come up with a plan. In community, we can all have different pain points and find the correct solution for ourselves. We just need the right tools, and I have a ton of tools in my badunkajunk trunk.
Bringing clarity to the meno-morphosis with expert lead tools. In place of six months, this is eight weeks, instead of ten meetings, we will have five. In the end, you will be able to develop a plan, find solutions, and experience expansive lustful aging. A new adventure called Agelust Labs has been created.
The Agelust Labs program integrates science and spirit into a format that reframes the menopausal mindset. With the help of five insightful expert-led workshops, you will leave with a personalized blueprint for navigating the lush meno-morphosis.
Five interactive Zoom workshops
Evidence based tools
A video library of 10 expert session
Workbook
A choose-your-own-adventure-style plan of action that you can put into action or take to your provider.
This could change everything. There's no doubt this will be a great event!

So you mentioned in another post that you have some strong thoughts on Baghra, especially about how the story frames her as one of the good guys. I would love to hear about it.
@youremotionallystablefriend: I would love to hear you rant about Baghra if you feel like it (and haven’t already)! Personally I don’t think she gets enough constructive critique in the fandom for being the one that brought Aleks up and for the way she treated her pupils and especially Alina :/
Anon: Hello! I love your thoughts on the grisha books. I'm actually interested to hear your take on Baghra
@misku-nimfa: If you are up for it, I would love to read your thoughts on Baghra or your full critique of society in the Grishaverse. Your analysis is really well structured and interesting! ^.^
Anon: Hi! I saw your recent post and was wondering if you'd share more of your thoughts on Baghra?
---
Hello everyone! I was honestly very surprised to see so many people interested in my thoughts on Baghra? I'll share what I can, but please know that this is by no means a full breakdown of her character! It’s just some Thoughts I’ve had, and they’re mostly centered around show Baghra because that’s how I was first introduced to her character. Although IMO book Baghra might actually be even worse.
I’d like to preface this by saying that many of my issues with the treatment of Baghra as a character in fandom come from the wild double standard there seems to be regarding her and the Darkling. Darkling Antis and a vast majority of the people in this fandom who don’t like his character have a disturbing habit of absolutely ripping into the Darkling for all of his faults and then turning around and treating Baghra as some sort of pristine mother figure for the exact same shit.
They’ll talk about how badass she is, how strong she is, how they sympathize with her past (although they’ll continue to dehumanize the Darkling and refuse to sympathize with his own past) and sympathize with the fact that she has to deal with the Darkling (who’s always referred to as a monster she must corral or control, as if he is inhumane and beastly. These particular comments always take on the very distinct tone of victim blaming as well). They’ll laud her for all of these “powerful girlboss” moments as if they aren’t carbon copies of the Darkling’s own behavior - as if they aren’t things Baghra herself taught him. Which is why this is the wildest double standard of all to me, because every horrible action they praise Baghra for is something she taught the Darkling, and something they cannot stand to see in him as well.
It’s as if there’s a disconnect between their consumption of the literature when it comes to the two characters, and I’m of the opinion that it’s largely because Baghra is a woman and a mother and therefore infantilized in the fandom quite a bit. In fact, Bardugo herself often infantilizes many of her female characters in her writing. This is mostly through the process of excusing their terrible deeds, not allowing them to do anything remotely dark, or brushing any morally grey actions under the rug without ever touching upon them. Which puts me in the strange position of knowing I’m supposed to sympathize with Baghra for having to deal with the monster she’s created, and instead feeling resentful of the fact that this bitter woman is held up as this wise old strict teacher instead of the abusive mentor/mother she should have been.
Now, here’s what I said to make so many of you send me asks:
Last note, in reference to your first line, and also probably a pretty unpopular opinion. I do not like Baghra. And it legit has nothing to do with the Darkling or with Alina, I just don't like her "I'm going to hit you and berate you and emotionally abuse you and manipulate you and act like the good guy at the end of it" vibe she's got going on. At least Aleksander is acknowledged as the villain within the narrative. Idk wtf Baghra is on but it's absolutely wild to me that people aren't more critical of her actions. Which is, rather fortunately for you, another rant I will save for another post if anybody ever wants to hear it lol. (but like kudos to Baghra's actress. I loved the character as a character, I just don't like the way she's framed as a good guy. Weird. Uncomfortable. She literally set bees on the kids she was teaching).
This basically summarizes most of my thoughts on Baghra as a character and how she’s portrayed. I touched on it a bit above, but the way she’s able to get away with so much and not suffer under heavier critique is honestly baffling to me. There should be a lot more criticism of her out there in the fandom. This is the woman who abused her students and neglected her son. Although to be honest I don’t even know how to quite describe the emotionally neglectful yet unhealthily codependent bond she fostered in him from a young age. IMO, Baghra’s behavior around Aleksander is creepy, and I know she has a history that makes it more understandable, but it’s still incredibly disconcerting to witness.
But let’s get back on track! First of all, her students. Whom she physically, emotionally, and mentally abuses. She’s derisive, she’s insulting, she’s belittling. She works hard to strip them of any self confidence they may have. She uses pain as a means of triggering powers. And the strict teacher excuse doesn’t fly. The “it’s only a training method!” excuse is even worse. This is literal abuse she’s heaping on her students and it’s wretched.
The first thing she does to Alina when they first meet is insult her. Then she hits her. Then she kicks her out.
Second time they interact is a montage. Baghra hits Alina multiple times. She shames her. And then when Alina actually calls a light she tells her it’s not nearly enough, effectively wiping the smile off of her face and every sign of self confidence that had been building. Then we see the door to Baghra’s hut shut in Alina’s face. So now she has been bruised, battered, berated, stripped of all self confidence, and then banished again. As training methods go, this is not only entirely ineffective, but it’s also just abusive.
Then we get this interaction between Alina and her friends:
Marie: One time, Baghra released a hive of bees on me. Nadia: Worst part is, it worked. Marie: It really did. I could summon at will after that.
Which is fucking horrifying and not talked about nearly enough. That goes beyond hitting your students. Baghra used a fear tactic on a young girl to activate her powers. She literally tortured Marie to make her powers work.
Alina throughout this conversation is looking very disheartened. She’s lacking in any self confidence and the comment about the bees has clearly affected her. For someone who’s first words to Alina were “Everyone believes that you are the one. Come back when you believe it too,”  Baghra doesn’t exactly seem keen on Alina actually believing she’s the one. If she did, she wouldn’t be stripping her of every positive emotion associated with sun summoning.
Let’s not forget that Baghra demeans Alina multiple times for her status as an orphan. How she utilizes what she knows of Alina’s emotional weaknesses to provoke her and discourage her and make her angry.
And then Baghra drugs her without consent. To take advantage of any information Alina gives her in that state. To use the way Alina reacts for her own ends.
Because why else would she say this?:
Alina: We planned to run away together. Baghra: You had plans. Perhaps he never did, because where is he now?
Which is, strangely enough, the same sense of isolation and separation from Mal and her past that Aleksander is attempting to foster. Weird how mother and son are both using the same manipulation tactics.
In fact, why does Baghra never tell Alina about the letters until she’s already engaged with Aleksander? Baghra must have known he was taking them. Alina talks about it enough. Baghra must have known he was isolating her from Mal. How could she not, when it’s revealed later that she has spies in the Little Palace collecting information on him? How could she not, when she knows he’s the villain from the beginning - when she knows he’s manipulating Alina?
Baghra knows, and yet she keeps the same lies Aleksander does and furthermore uses that information to make Alina feel even more isolated and weak. Baghra literally just piggy-backs on Aleksander’s manipulation and then exacerbates it. She wants Alina to feel no attachments to her past because she wants to use Alina as well. But for some reason, because this manipulation and treatment of Alina as some sort of tool is done by the woman who opposes the Darkling, it’s suddenly okay. As if it still isn’t the same terrible shit but with a different perpetrator. I mean damn, at least Aleksander feels something for Alina. Baghra’s just cold.
So, point by point. Baghra mentions how Mal doesn’t care for Alina, she mentions Alina’s failings constantly, she mentions Alina being an orphan, she constantly hits her, she guilts Alina about orphans dying, she works to instill a sense of isolation from her friends and her family.
And when Alina finally comes to Baghra, having decided to abandon her attachments to her past and her attachments to Mal, the words that ring in her head are Baghra's words - “needing anyone else is weak.”  Which is honestly just a horrible sentiment in general, but an even worse one when considering how hard these people are working to detach Alina from anybody who can help her or give her an outside perspective.
Strangely, it’s also similar to this line:
The problem with wanting, is that it makes us weak.
...which is spoken by Baghra’s son. You know, the Darkling? Our big bad villain? The one Baghra raised?
Which gives me the impression that Baghra’s teaching methods with her students are really not that far off from the teaching methods she used on him as he was growing up. It’s a horrifying thought, and leads into my problems with her relationship with Aleksander.
First of all, show wise. What the fuck.
Aleksander: They’re punishing us for being Grisha. Baghra: Punishing you. You made him afraid. Now he wants you to fear him. Aleksander: I won a war for him. Baghra: And in doing so, started a war on us.
I get that she’s trying to convey how the king feels here, but it still feels incredibly victim blamey from a narrative standpoint. It isn’t Aleksander’s fault the king fears him when he used his powers under the King’s banner to help him win a war. Aleksander trusted this man who betrayed him and then betrayed his people, and we get a line from his mother, entirely unsympathetic, talking about how it’s his fault all of these people are dying.
Baghra: Where’s the girl, your healer? Aleksander: Dead. She died because of me. Baghra: She died because they always do. They’re not as strong as you and me.
Baghra’s use of the term ‘girl’ and ‘healer' here instead of Luda is pretty telling. She either doesn’t like Luda or doesn’t care for her. Either way, this is the woman her son loves, and Baghra talks about her so dispassionately. Then he comments on Luda’s death and there’s no reaction except to say that they always do.
Like, her son is literally broken up over here. Grieving. Desperate. Run ragged. Caged and hunted. Feeling guilty as hell. Mind running through a million different ways he could possibly save all of these people. And Baghra offers him nothing except a paltry “people die, get over it, we’re better than that, she didn’t matter anyway.”
Honestly, how is Aleksander even still functioning at this point? He has no support system and he’s working against a king and his army to protect a group of civilians he could easily abandon to save himself. The sheer amount of responsibility and mental strain keeping track of a group alone entails is already monstrous, but adding in every other factor? The recent death of Luda, the fact that they’re cornered and they’ve been hunted down while fleeing across the land, the fact that he was just a couple hours ago forced to his knees and entirely at these men’s mercy, begging for Luda’s life. And here his mother is, if anything a negative support system. Offering no other ideas, telling him to give up hope, not even offering the barest smidgeon of emotional support as he grieves, putting everything on his shoulders.
It pisses me the fuck off.
Aleksander: You’re the one who taught me how to kill, mother. Their blood is on your hands as much as mine.  Baghra: I taught you so you could protect yourself. Not them.
Once more, Baghra highlights how he needs to protect himself. How he should abandon the people he’s protecting. How he shouldn't help others and only ever himself. Once more, she says it’s my way or the high way. There’s zero effort to work with him. Zero effort to sympathize or compromise. She’s constantly pushing him to take the one option she knows he won’t take. The hell did she think was going to happen?
Also, Baghra taught him how to kill. Not necessarily great parenting, but understandable given the circumstances of his upbringing. But the level to which she takes it is honestly concerning. Like, look no further than this woman to see where Aleksander got it from lol.
Baghra also forbids him from using Merzost. Which is great and all, she gets to claim the moral high ground. But she doesn’t offer a single alternative except to flee and let everybody die. There was legitimately no other option to Merzost except for torture and death. If there was, Baghra sure as hell didn’t help Aleksander come up with one. Aleksander, who - by the way - is in no fit emotional state to be making any kind of decision right now.
So anyways, that’s just my tv show grief regarding Baghra, and it’s not even really all of it. I don’t want to make this an hour long read though lmao. But I’ll go over a few other things.
First of all, Baghra’s whole “We’re the only two that matter. We have to do whatever we can to protect ourselves,” mentality is one that she actively touts to Aleksander on a regular basis when he’s incredibly young. It’s honestly a wonder he grows up to care about other people at all. But the mentality itself is something Aleksander still heavily internalized in regards to protecting himself and those he deems worthy at any cost.
There’s a moment in the books when Aleksander is attacked and nearly drowned by some kids who wanted his bones (one of which was a close friend of his). He uses the cut in self defense and then blames the nearby Otkazat’sya village. Baghra knows he’s lying, and yet she allows an entire village to get slaughtered for harming him. This is a disproportionately violent act that Baghra approves of, and Aleksander as a kid is definitely internalizing that mindset.
Also, Baghra’s behavior around Aleksander has always been weirdly possessive and controlling. Especially when it comes to the people he loves. Her actions often come across as her trying to isolate him in order to keep him by her side, even when the relationships he has are clearly intimate. Which... is especially strange for a mother to be doing to her son.
She was also an extremely emotionally neglectful mother. Based on the show and what I gathered from her actions there, I’m actually half convinced she was physically abusive as well, in that “I think I’m being a stern, good parent figure when in reality I’m actually harming my child” kind of way. She fosters codependence with her son and then refuses to provide for any of his emotional needs. She drives it into his head that everybody dies, that he’ll always be alone, that love is useless and power is everything. She denies him the opportunity to be soft and works to harden him at a young age. She tells him he must never allow people to touch him, except she doesn’t work to supplement those physical needs in any way. She essentially abuses him.
Honestly, I could go on. But in reality the simple fact is that I just don’t like her. I think she’s a hypocrite. I think she’s abusive. I think she’s a terrible mentor and an even worse mother. And I think the fandom and the books are willing to brush aside so many of her faults simply because she opposes the Darkling.
I’m sorry if this isn’t what you guys were looking for! It sounds like a lot of you wanted a more of a sophisticated breakdown, but my thoughts on Baghra come with a heap of emotional baggage lol. It feels weird to say this now, but I actually do like the character as a character, I just,,, don’t like her in every other aspect. My feelings on Baghra are just a bit personal, to be honest. But hopefully this was at least comprehensible??

Rewriting Haggar/Honerva’s redemption arc
Tumblr media
One of the many things that bothered me about VLD S8 is Honerva’s redemption arc. While I was never fully against the idea of Honerva getting a redemption arc, I just didn’t want VLD to do it because I knew that they would fuck it up if they tried. And low and behold, I was right!
But yeah, I wasn’t against the idea of her being redeemed. And I don’t mean “redeemed” as in “all is forgiven and she’s just a good guy now,” but more like a Darth Vader, “the things she did were inexcusable and she would never be able to right all her wrongs but she goes out on one good act to show that there was still good in her deep down and she at least had the potential to change.”
I know a lot of people don’t like the whole, “redemption=death” thing, which I understand, but I personally never had a problem with it.
Ok, so why didn’t Honerva’s redemption work? Well there are a few reasons but the one that baffles me the most is that, instead of trying to make her more sympathetic, season 8 seemed to go out of its way to show her being more evil and vile than ever.
And because I have nothing better to do, I’m gonna go through Honerva’s story in VLD and explain what I would change to make her redemption more believable.
(Keep in mind I am not a writer, this is just me ranting about my favorite character and how I personally would’ve written her.)
1. Realizing she’s Altean
Tumblr media
I always thought it’s was weird that when Allura said “you’re...Altean!?” In the S2 finale, Haggar didn’t seem to react at all, she just kept attacking. It’s as if she didn’t care or already knew, which doesn’t make sense considering in the S3 finale and S8E2 it’s established that Haggar has no memory of who she was before she died. And in S4E3 she seems shocked by her Altean face (which also doesn’t make sense because her blue skin isn’t camouflage that’s just how she looks after the rift) so it seems like she didn’t know.
Wouldn’t it have made more sence if after Allura said “you’re...Altean!?” Honerva looked confused/shocked? If she became defensive and said Allura was lying/trying to insult her? There’s def anti-Altean propaganda in the empire so it would be considered an insult.
After that she starts questioning Zarkon. And when she looks into his mind, it’s out of genuine curiosity and desire to know the truth, not because, “the empire needs him” or whatever that meant.
And isn’t it a bit odd that she doesn’t seem betrayed at all when she finds out Zarkon has been keeping all this from her? She’s just like, “oh, you’re my husband? Cool.” Wtf???
2. Her past relationship with Zarkon
Tumblr media
Okay, I love Zonerva, but if we’re being honest, Zarkon was not the best husband. He enabled the shit out of Honerva, even when it was obvious that the rift was doing serious damage to her physical and mental health. To me, it seems like Zarkon was so blinded by the power the rift gave him that he didn’t realize/ignored the negative effect it was having on Honerva. In the same way he downplayed the negative impact the rift had on the planet.
I think that should’ve been explored more. Maybe Honerva notices that she’s been acting differently and is worried somethings wrong (think S5 Kuron). And Honerva tries to tell Zarkon that she feels strange and Zarkon just brushes it off.
And later, when Alfor visits Diaibazaal years later. Things are pretty much the same except when we sees Honerva, she is very obviously pregnant and Alfor’s there when Honerva falls and goes into labor (instead of a random quintessence seizure). Alfor and many Galran doctors try their best to save her and the baby but she dies in childbirth.
Zarkon goes ballistic. He’s yelling, throwing doctors across the room, and Alfor turns to the doctor holding Lotor and tells them to get the baby to safely, fearing Zarkon will take his grief out on the baby.
Zarkon turns on Alfor, blaming him for Honerva’s death and accusing him of letting her die so that he could get his way and close the rift. He lunges Alfor and roars at him to leave.
He spends the rest of the night grieving at Honerva’s bedside, when Kova jumps on the bed and starts gnawing on her finger trying to wake her up. This is what gives him the idea to bring her back with quintessence.
3. Her current relationship with Zarkon
Tumblr media
I think it’s pretty safe to say that they’re relationship didn’t get better after the war began. Zarkon hid her identity and her child from her for 10,000 years and essentially used her as a tool of war. It’s pretty fucked up.
I know it’s pretty well established that Zarkon treats Haggar with more respect than his other underlings, but I feel like it would be interesting to see that change overtime. We see that after Voltron comes back, Zarkon becomes very obsessed with Voltron/Black, and he and Haggar start disagreeing more and more.
Remember the moment where one of Haggar’s druids told Zarkon Haggar said he needed to rest and Zarkon hit them with his bayard and told them, “remember who your master is”? What if, instead of a random druid, it was Haggar who he hit?
I feel like that would be a good way to show Haggar and the audience just how much Zarkon’s obsession with Voltron is affecting him, and make the audience feel a tiny bit bad for her.
Then later in season 4, when Zarkon wakes up from his coma and finds out Haggar brought Lotor back to take his place he gets pissed. He puts a price on Lotor’s head and has Haggar arrested for treason. She steals a ship, escapes, and later on meets up with Lotor’s generals.
Her and Zarkon are officially broken up and her quest to reclaim her identity and get her son back begins.
4. Oriande
Tumblr media
I never liked the concept of chosen/sacred Alteans. The idea that some Alteans are just born more powerful than others just feels iffy. My idea of Oriande is that it’s an Altean holly land, any Altean can enter it just depends on whether or not you can pass the White Lion’s trial. Passing the trial proves that your intentions are pure and and the White Lion will bless you with power.
I didn’t like how Honerva seemed to force her way into Oriande, I think it would be more effective if she had gone through normally because, at this point, her intentions were pure. She was going there to purge herself of the dark magic corrupting her and reclaim her memories so she could go get her son back.
I also like the idea that Oriande is a sorta link to the Altean after life, and you can speak with people you’ve lost. Allura gets to speak with Alfor, and Honerva speaks with her mother.
You could also have her be confronted by the spirits of the Alteans she helped destroy. Have the weight of her past actions bear down on her. An important part of any redemption arc is acknowledging the terrible shit you’ve done in the past, and that was severely lacking in Honerva’s arc.
Another interesting thing you could do is have Honerva talk to her younger self. The one that died 10,000 years ago. This kinda thing actually happened in 80s Voltron, young Haggar appearing in Haggar’s head trying to convince her to be good again.
5. Her relationship with Lotor
Tumblr media
Now this is where the redemption arc really falls apart. I forget who, but one of the writers said after S5 that Haggar/Honerva was motivated purely by love for her son, but man did they do a bad job of showing that.
And it would’ve been so easy to fix that problem, just have her not be horrible to him. Have them have actual civil conversations, have her protect and defend him. Don’t have her reject him as a fucking baby!
Imagine if, after Zarkon destroys Lotor’s planet, instead of immediately deciding to
exile him, Zarkon says that this is the final straw and he’s going to have Lotor executed. But Haggar speaks up to defend Him. There’s actually a scene in DOTU where Zarkon tries to kill Lotor and Haggar gets on her knees and begs for him to be spared. (Though the scene was mostly played for laughs.)
she asks for mercy and justifies it by saying it would be unwise to kill his only heir. It’s a weak argument, Lotor’s a half breed and couldn’t realistically take the throne, but Zarkon does concede, he still loves her after all, and has Lotor exiled.
And Haggar isn’t spying on him because she doesn’t trust him, but because she’s concerned for him. When Lotor confronts Haggar about sending her cronies after him, she says she knows he’s hiding something. Lotor asks if she’s threatening him, thinking she’s going to rat him out, but she says no, she’s not threatening him, she’s just trying to warn him against doing anything stupid because, with Zarkon seemingly on his death bed, the empire needs Lotor’s leadership.
At this point in the story, Haggar is questioning her loyalty to Zarkon, so I feel like it would make sense for her to be silently supporting Lotor from the shadows.
Then at the Kral Zera in season 5, It was weird to me how she was helping Lotor through Kuron while also telling him he couldn’t be emperor and trying to put Sendak on the throne. I feel like it would’ve made more sense for Sendak to just show up on his own without Haggar.
Haggar wouldn’t even be at the Kral Zera, she would just watch through Kuron.
And then we get to S6 when she actually reveals to Lotor that she’s his mom. This scene was just so poorly done. She never actually apologizes to him, she’s just like “yeah I forgot you were my kid and I never loved you, but were cool now right?” I remember when I saw S8E2 and it shows her after Lotor rejects her and she looks like she’s about to cry, I was just thinking, “this would be very emotional and sad IF she had actually apologized and made it clear that she genuinely loved him.” But she didn’t and I don’t know why!
And then we get to season 8, and of course everything in S8 is bad but Honerva’s story is particularly bad. She’s supposed to be motivated by love for Lotor yet she doesn’t act like she actually cares about him at all.
She manipulates his corpse and when she sees his gross melted body, she doesn’t even react that much. When a mother sees her child’s mutilated corpse, how do you think she reacts? Screaming? Crying?? Hurling??? But no. She’s just like, “...”
And then when she goes to the alternate reality and meets baby Lotor and he rejects her, her reaction isn’t disappointment or sadness, it’s anger and entitlement. She immediately decides, “ok, fuck this kid. Let’s destroy this reality.”
It just doesn’t make sense! This is the season you’re trying to REDEEM her! Why are you going out of your way to make her so vile?
6. Her S7-S8 plan
Tumblr media
(Keep in mind I haven’t watched S7/S8 since they came out and barely even watched S8 to begin with, so I don’t remember some things and I can’t be bothered to rewatch them.)
Okay, starting with S7, she’s not in this season at all but in “The Ruins” the druid dude says that her final order was to hunt and destroy the Blade of Marmora. I guess it makes a certain amount of sense because she saw that it was Keith who brought Lotor’s actions to light, but that whole plot was really pointless in my opinion. (Was anybody really hoping for a rematch between Keith and that one random druid?)
If you want us to forgive Honerva for her crimes, you really shouldn’t keep adding more unnecessary crimes. It’s established that there were a lot of Galra war lords vying for power and pirates looking for money, just have it be that Kolivan got kidnapped by one of them.
Then you have her season 8 plan and I’m gonna be real with y’all, I have no idea how to fix this mess.
I feel like the basics of her plan could work. She tries to get Lotor and Sincline out of the rift but when she gets him he’s a melted corpse so the plan then becomes to use sincline to go to another reality to find a living Lotor, but opening all these rifts causes problems and the paladins have to stop her.
But all the shit with manipulating the colony Alteans, killing the White Lion, desecrating Oriande, and destroying Olkarion and entire realities, it was all so unnecessary.
Personally I would cut the colony Alteans from the story all together, there are other ways for Lotor to betray the team. It was a lazy way of making Lotor 100% evil and having Honerva manipulate them is unnecessarily cruel, especially in the season you’re trying to redeem her.
Here’s a very basic outline of how I would do this plot.
If we’re going by season 8’s logic that she needs a sacrifice to bring back Sincline, I would’ve had the Galra she killed at the Kral Zera be the sacrifice, not the White Lion. She stands on the pyramid and talks about how the empire stole her life from her and she wants revenge as she absorbs their quintessence into herself and then uses that to bring back Sincline.
Then when she finds Lotor dead she takes Sincline and uses it to go to another reality where she can be with her family.
The danger comes when she opens rifts to the other realities and rift creatures start coming out and causing damage. The paladins fight them and follow her into the rift to stop whatever evil plan she may have. Because the paladins don’t know that Haggar is now Honerva and all this is just to get Lotor back. They think this is all some plan for multiverse domination or some shit.
Meanwhile Honerva has just been rejected by little Lotor and seeing Voltron show up pushes her over the edge and they fight.
But when they find out the real reason she’s doing all this they start trying to appeal to her and convince her to give up and close the rift peacefully. And similarly to how the paladins had to sacrifice the castle to close the rifts created by the fight with Lotor, Honerva has to sacrifice herself to close the rifts.
Tumblr media
In the end, I feel like a Honerva redemption arc could’ve worked if the writers were actually competent and actually made an effort to have her be sympathetic, but In canon, her reasoning, “If I can’t indulge in the simple joys of life, why should anybody else?” just doesn’t cut it.
It’s disappointing. VLD had so much potential. I’m thinking of just rewriting the entire series from the beginning. Hopefully putting all my thoughts out into the universe will help me move on.

A great example of “RWBY+ can do no wrong” is the whole “Let Penny make her own choices” thing. They keep doing it over and over, yet while watching I never got the idea RWBY+ doing it was bad. They’re never called out, they never regret it, or anything. Ruby takes the scroll from Penny’s hand and answers Ironwood for her, and makes her human without her consent. I get the not killing Penny thing, BUT THAT’S THE ONLY THING THEY DO FOR HER. WTF?!
Yes let's take a hot second to unpack all this.
Now, I'm going to be focusing on late Volume 7 and Volume 8, but in reality this problem started way back during Penny's introduction. Namely, presenting her as a literal tool of the military who has to break the rules set down (go out, have friends, etc.) in order to be her own person. There's a small problem here in the form of making Pietro the shadowy scientist and then changing him into the doting father with no acknowledgement that he a) built Penny with the purpose of being Atlas' tool and b) went along with dictating her actions through that whole run. However, given that Pietro is a minor character we may never even see again, we have a much larger problem in the form of Ruby being entirely disinterested in Penny's plight. Ruby cares about making sure Penny feels real, not that Penny has all the freedoms a real person innately deserves. Admittedly, this is less of an issue back in Volumes 1-3 because RWBY was a less serious show then, Penny was a new friend, and Ruby was the teenager student. But come Volume 7 when our show is questioning the characters' morals, Ruby is an adult now, Ruby has her huntsmen license, and she supposedly has this incredibly strong bond with Penny, it's now a problem that she hears things like "Ironwood doesn't want me to have friends" and just... doesn't seem to care. Or do anything. Or suggest that Penny do something. It's a non-topic. Ruby only becomes interested in Penny's autonomy when that autonomy threatens Ruby's own goals. When Ruby is working for Ironwood, it's totally fine if Penny works for Ironwood too, no matter how she might be being treated. (Though, frankly, I think the show did a terrible job of establishing Ironwood's supposed mistreatment. The no friends rule makes zero sense when Penny is being sent to celebratory parties organized by Ironwood. So that's a whole other issue.) But when Ruby is against Ironwood... well, then Penny needs to be on their side. Of course she'd be on their side. It's presented as inevitable, despite the fact that it very much should not be. But the point is that Ruby cares about keeping Penny away from Ironwood and giving her an illusion of choice only once she is breaking away. Otherwise, Penny's autonomy is not her concern.
So that's where we're starting out which is pretty bad. Already Ruby's status as the contrast to Ironwood is falling flat, but the show admittedly helps smooth things over by giving us such an extreme. Meaning, we learn fairly early on that Ironwood want to hack Penny and take that autonomy away, full stop. Ruby doesn't. Ergo, Ruby is the lesser of two evils here. I can see why so many fans dismiss the scroll scene given its seemingly, comparative insignificance, but it definitely rubbed me the wrong way. Part of that is because Penny never gets to express her own opinions to Ruby. She gets to do it with Winter and, notably, Penny comes to a sort of, 'We can manage both' stance. The dilemma of going after Cinder or saving Winter and fighting Salem or saving the people of Atlas/the Relics are meant to mirror one another and Penny manages to achieve both. She saves Winter and keeps the power out of Cinder's hands too. Then, she's given the one key that controls the latter dilemma: the Maiden powers. So what will Penny decide? How does she view the situation to leave or stay? How will her decision regarding Cinder and Winter impact her decision about Atlas and Mantle?
It doesn't. We have no idea what Penny thinks outside of a 'I'm sad when friends fight' line (which, again, puts a huge damper on the idea that Penny was always Ironwood/the Ace Ops' puppet and should be glad to be rid of them). Penny is brought into Ruby's group and her opinions disappear because Ruby makes all the decisions. Whatever Ruby says goes and THAT'S why the scroll scene is so horrible. Because we just watched Penny deciding for herself what to do about Winter. We just watched Penny deciding to take on the Maiden powers, making herself the most important person in the Kingdom right now. And then Ruby picks her up and all that goes away. Penny is given the chance to decide things again when Ironwood calls and Ruby takes the scroll away, speaking on her behalf. It does not matter whether Penny actually agrees with Ruby's decisions here, the act of not allowing her to make those decisions for herself speaks volumes.
From then on Penny just stops making choices. Ruby is the one who talks her into forgetting about Ironwood and the Ace Ops. Jaune is the one who decides to split the team and Ruby decided they need to get Amity up. Pietro literally takes control of Penny's body to hack into the system. Penny gets cut off from the group due to the Ace Ops and Nora is the one who decides to help. Prior to literally being hacked, she was more of a puppet in their hands than she was with Ironwood because it's in Ironwood's employ that we actually see Penny pushing back: She's going to be friends with Ruby no matter what, she's going to challenge Winter on her views, she's going to take the powers because that's what needs to be done, etc. But that lack of agency is completely overshadowed by Ironwood's hack Penny plan. Everything looks better compared to that, even if what we're left with is pretty awful on its own. Remember, this is the point in the story where Ironwood is fully evil, post-shooting Oscar and the Councilman. The group can do whatever they want at this point and come off looking "heroic," simply by means of not being Ironwood.
The next time Penny makes a decision is when she stands up to Pietro. Note that prior to this everyone talked her into doing something she says she does not want to do: leaving the group to stay on Amity. Pietro suggests it, Ruby justifies it, Weiss says it might be for the best and Blake ends the conversation by saying they need to leave. Penny goes, "I guess we all have to do some things we would rather not." They all make that decision for her. So she goes, fights Cinder, and then Amity starts to fall. Pietro says, "You’re in no condition to do something like this. Even just the temperature out there could--" and Penny counters "It is our only option."
No, it's not. This is Ruby's option. You can very much not send the totally useless message out, supposedly risking your life in the process ("supposedly" because, again, why this is such a danger for Penny when she was just flying outside with Cinder remains a mystery). Penny treats Ruby's plan as something inevitable. They can't fall back after Penny hacked into the Atlas systems, Penny fought off the Ace Ops, Penny defended Amity from another Maiden. She has to go one step further and risk another death because the concept of saying, "Hey, Ruby's plan isn't feasible anymore" is just never on the table. Ruby is in the mansion sitting around while Penny does all the dangerous work to put her plan into action.
So she pushes back against Pietro in a way she NEVER has with Ruby, insisting that this is how she's going to live her life. Even Maria chimes in with a "we need to remember the big picture." (Wait, the potential death of a Maiden and the loss of the key to the vault isn't a part of the big picture?) Pietro is supposedly in the wrong because he cares about Penny, not the war, but if that's such a bad thing... then what does that make this?
Tumblr media
We have a whole scene where Penny wants the group to destroy her to (again, supposedly) help them in the war - take her out as a threat - and they give a resounding, 'Fuck that.' Ruby doesn't want to see her friend dead for the sake of this war. Pietro doesn't want to see his daughter dead for the sake of this war. Yet Pietro is the one who is framed as too narrowminded. Penny standing up to Pietro is meant to be celebratory, but Penny giving in to Ruby is meant to be celebratory too.
And then, of course, once it's Jaune with a sword to her throat, Penny's desire to die is honored.
Then, finally, we have the Ambrosius fiasco. I've spoken at length about this already, but suffice to say we never got a scene where Penny expressed a desire to be turned human. As the above scene demonstrates, her desire to risk her life/die is ignored only when it's Ruby making that call. Otherwise, with Pietro and Jaune, Penny's agency is upheld (however horrible the circumstances). Does she want live a life with a flesh body? Does she have any other ideas how they might eradicate the hack? Would she prefer Ruby try to put her into a new android body first? We have no idea! We never see Ruby ask. We never see that Ruby cares beyond what she wants for Penny. They clearly had the time to hash out all these loophole wishes, but we couldn't have gotten a ten second scene where Penny goes, 'I'm cool with this'? Assuming that Penny knows what they plan to do and that she has no reservations prior to waking up with flesh hands doesn't work, not when her character largely revolves around agency and Ruby has not been showing her that particularly well.
Ruby decides that Penny is on their team (scroll scene). Then she decides that Penny will not die (contrast to Jaune and Pietro). Then she decides that Penny will be saved by stripping away a core part of her identity. Penny goes from being hacked to watching that part of herself actually die, glitching out while her friends smile about it. Ruby spent Penny's entire run insisting that she was a person just as she was, but then Ruby is the one to turn around and take that away from Penny, prior to leading her into a battle where she died again, likely because she was now a fragile flesh girl. Ironwood was given the extreme of trying to take Penny over completely, once he went full Bad Guy, but Ruby is the one who made decisions for Penny throughout this run, with Penny given no chance to speak up for herself. Penny, once at Ruby's side, subscribed to the overarching belief that Ruby is always right (fitting in nicely with Ren's arc of learning to stop questioning things). The story didn't even consider giving Penny different opinions, hesitations, anger, or anything that would truly jeopardizes what Ruby wants, because what Ruby wants is, consistently, treated as the only way to go.

snapchat :: c!tommy x reader
fluff / angst , platonic , gender neutral ! first request whoop whoop :D [check pinned for more info on requests]
synopsis: ‘what’s so bad about adding every person on snapchat?’ tommy thought. unknowingly, with all the other people he begins talking to during exile, one ends up being you; tubbo’s younger sibling. that is until you both visit tommy in logstedshire.
cw: i purposely misspell a few words for the texting part, i hope it’s still readable for y’all! and i haven’t actually used snapchat in years so let’s pretend i know what i’m doing :)
Tumblr media
tommy smiled at his brand new phone
first thing he does? install snapchat and reddit
if he couldn’t talk to his best friends face to face anymore, at least he had people online to talk to, right?
tommy hoped from all his possessions dream would destroy, he could at least keep a phone
without much thought, tommy opened snapchat and began adding every account and messaging them the same obnoxious message
BE MY FRIEND . MESSAGE BACK NOW.
most people chose ignore tommy, not having a clue why he was messaging them
but as for you, when you had the notification that someone added you on snapchat and started aggressively messaging you, it made you curious
you read their user
“wife haver”?? huh???
instead of immediately blocking the person, you replied back
what?
not even less than a second later you get a reply back
OH MY GOD FINALLY SOMEONE
IM DYING
without context, you were more than confused
genuinely dying is very alarming but you shouldn’t text a random stranger your last words
huh?
THE GREEN BASTARD TOOK EVERYTHING AWAY FROM ME
YOURE ALL I HAVE LEFT
plwase helo
Help
where did tou go
Ohm hgod
hHello?
NOOOO NOT YOU TOO
PLEASR
you laughed at the person’s desperation and ignored the messages
if the stranger wasn’t going introduce themselves, you wouldn’t either
however, after a while you realized you had over 100 snapchat notifications within an hour of trying to ignore the person
however it was just jumbled up words and useless spam, nothing important
as if the stranger would said anything important to your concern anyway
do you ever shut up??
fuck you
a normal person wouldve taken offense by these messages but you found them quite amusing
it wasn’t like you had anything else better to do
and this acceptance was the start of your odd friendship with the stranger
you were still on edge because you had no idea who they were and their intentions but the anonymity was mutual nonetheless
if the desperate spamming “wife haver” isn’t going to formally tell you who they actually were, you weren’t going to risk exposing yourself first
but in the past few weeks, you and the person had normal conversations apart from the first day they messaged you
well as normal as you could’ve expected from someone named “wife haver”
they were the first to send an actual snap as well
that was when you found out the “wife haver” was an obnoxious boy that looked around your age, maybe a slightly older
he had sent you a photo of him holding a thumbs up and trying to smile when he was clearly upset
just got all my stuff exploded again, feeling good
you noticed his messy blonde hair and tattered clothes
what the hell happened to this guy?
part of you was confused, and the other was concerned
u good bro??
well
i don’t have anymore tools and materials if that’s anything
so no
this is shit
lmao it was probably deserved
FUCK YOU!!!!!
im kidding that’s sad
but like do u actually need stuff?
you contemplated sending your next message and thought of the consequences
but in the end, you were probably better off than him so if he did try to do something suspicious, you could easily just leave with your trident or defend yourself
i can bring some things over if you’d like
please oh my god it’s so boring here
where the hell do you even live???
it finally hit that you would be visiting this mysterious person
you never really had much to do during the day and he had nothing against your enchanted netherite armor when compared to his worn-out clothes
you were surprised that he was quick to be comfortable with you visiting him so continued to message the boy
if you live nearby i can just stop over and bring some spare diamond tools and armor if you’d like or smth
DIAMOND !,?’/:@!?:/-',(
ya sure lol
WTF
GOOD SHIT LAD! THANKS
WHEN DO U WANT TO VISIT???
his shock and excitement made you smile
maybe this wasn’t a bad idea
before replying, you quickly ran to your storage room you gather your spare items
instead of normally texting, you decided to take a picture of all the enchanted tools and armor and send back a snap
i’m down for tomorrow, turn on your snapmaps so i can come by ;D
he quickly replied back with handfuls of ‘holy shits’ and ‘YEAHS’
you couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear which caught the attention of your older brother who had just walked in to get blocks from the wall of chests
“ew why are you smiling at your phone like that?”
“oh shut up, tubbo”
“it’s weird”
you roll your eyes at him in a playful matter
“whatever! i’m gonna be out tomorrow to visit a friend, okay?”
“you have friends? wow, sounds like a first”
“you’re such a dick!!” you yell at him whilst trying to hold in your laughter
“oh yeah? go on, tell me about this friend of yours then. meeting strangers online, hm?”
“if you’re so concerned, you can come with if you’re not busy with whatever a president does. i promise they’re not some weirdo like you”
tubbo’s tone was sarcastic but he agreed then left you to your own thoughts
you were excited for tomorrow that you were restless in your bed when nighttime had came
somehow you managed to fall asleep from tiredness in the middle of the night
soon enough it was morning
before doing anything, you checked your phone and went through all your notifications
you then checked snapchat, browsing snapmaps and realized how far you had to travel
despite the long travel, you brought yourself up from your bed and gathered all the items you were going to bring
you stuffed a full set of enchanted diamond armor, tools, and over a stack of golden carrots all in your inventory
after finishing all your preparations, you searched for your older brother
with just a loud yell of his name he appeared almost instantly
“you ready to go, tubbo?”
“yep! you know where you’re going right?”
you scoffed at the question
“of course!”
and with that, the two of you traveled on foot until you reached the ocean
you had brought 2 boats with you knowing that you couldn’t imagine being in the same boat as your brother; it would’ve ended up in endless bickering
after a while of being at sea, tubbo started to become impatient
“what the hell! how far does this person live, y/n??”
“i dunno!”
you knew the general direction you were supposed to be going to after studying your snapmaps all morning but you couldn’t check how much farther it would take to get there; there was obviously no signal in the middle of the ocean
it felt like forever before you saw land in the horizon
suddenly you regained all the energy you have lost from rowing
“there!! that place with the white tent, i can barely see it”
“finally”
with the burst of energy, you got to land in no time
the moment you got off your boat, the blonde spotted the two of you and ran in your direction
once appearing nearly feet apart, he stared at your brother who also had the shocked expression
“TOMMY?”
“TUBBO?”
your brother had more of a confused expression whilst the other boy seemed a bit mad
maybe he was always mad considering the endless conversations you had with him ranting about some ‘green bastard’
but tubbo quickly got defensive, stepping in front of you
you didn’t understand how they knew each other beforehand, but at the same time you never caught up with tubbo’s friends either
you needed answers
“what’s going on?”
“y/n! you were messaging tommy this whole time? why didn’t you tell me?”
tubbo was clearly frustrated and a feeling of guilt washed over you
it didn’t click that you never exchanged names and admitting it did not seem believable
tubbo was in complete shock, trying to process everything that was happening
“WHAT?! AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TALKING?”
you mumbled out your words
“a few weeks, i can’t remember”
“uh, yeah sorry” tommy had confirmed your statements. “i didn’t even know you had a sibling, tubbo! i actually didn’t know their name until now as well..”
“HUH??”
“but if i knew i was messaging a tub-ling, i wouldn’t have in the first place!”
“what the fuck tommy!!!”
“no, but how do you even know each other?” you had interrupt the two
tubbo had chosen his words carefully
“we’re... friends”
tommy had seemed upset at this
“tubbo....”
“no, don’t talk to me, tommy. you were exiled for a reason. y/n? give him the stuff you wanted to him and let’s go, this was a waste of time”
you were saddened but obliged, you didn’t want to anger your brother even more
“fuck you, tubbo! can’t believe this was how you visit me for the first time, i don’t even want your pity shit”
before you could react, tubbo led you to the back of his boat
he got in the front and quickly rowed away from the land you barely stayed on, leaving your boat behind on the shores
you looked back at tommy who already had left back to his tent
the boat ride was silent and full of sorrow until you arrived back at l’manburg
once you got home you immediately opened snapchat to message tommy
hey tommy i’m really sorry about today. i had no idea,,,
you thought he would’ve ignored your message but instead replied right after
but your heart sank at reading the message
it’s fine
i think it’s best we stop talking y/n
you didn’t want to lose a friend so quickly but after all the tension from today, you didn’t know how to come back from it
so instead of arguing you agreed, even if it wasn’t honest
yeah, me too
and that was the last message you sent to tommy
even though the whole situation was confusing from the start, it didn’t mean you didn’t enjoy the random conversations you had
the bizarre encounter was unforgettable
it made you even sadder when you realized the first time you two used each other’s names through text would also be the last
a/n: ngl, i didn’t think i would finish this on a kinda angsty ending but here we are! and grrr it’s 4am and i just wanted to finish this,, let’s hope there aren’t that many grammar mistakes LMAO anyway i hope y’all enjoyed <3

hm. i know it's rly rly early but i am contemplating the argument for 'aracial' podcast characters that goes 'well beginning podcasters don't have money to hire actors, so they just use their friends, so their casts are very white, so it's better for them to let fandom create representation with their aracial characters'
and i think... maybe back in 2012, when podcasts were so small? but maybe not rly... and especially not here and now in the year 2021, and let me tell you why:
audio dramas are SO damn popular nowadays that you can put a casting call for a totally unpaid podcast on twitter or tumblr and get HUNDREDS of auditions. is it better to pay your actors? yes of course. are people totally willing to do this work for free, or for the promise of patreon pay if your patreon takes off? yes absolutely.
there are a lot of all-white or majority-white podcasts which are, nevertheless, WILDLY popular. sometimes this is bcos of fanon depictions, but often it's just! people like their stuff! regardless of rep!
representation should not be a marketing tool. it should not be something you do (or leave vague) in order to appeal to your audience. representation is about telling the stories of marginalized people, it's about marginalized people being able to find WORK in the creative industry, it's about just! normalizing our existence in the world by showing us in media! faux-representation in 'aracial' characters will NEVER actually do this, and you're not actually helping anyone (except perhaps the popularity of your show) by not acknowledging the whiteness of your cast.
why are all your friends white. no seriously wtf. this does not make things BETTER. you need to talk to some poc i think.
if you are white and all your friends are white, possibly you have no business writing about poc at all actually? not even vague 'well they might be poc'? like, are you going to WRITE about us or use us as an aesthetic or create horrible mangled stereotypes based on media you've consumed?
(don't say you've gotten a sensitivity reader. if you can't pay cast members you can't pay a sensitivity reader.)
and, if you apparently don't know any poc, when you write your 'aracial' character, you are simply writing whiteness and refusing to put a name to it, making it the default. again, not helpful for real representation.
this argument is always, ALWAYS used to justify 'aracial' writing for white casts, bcos white is the fucking default. this isn't just in podcasts, but poc in the creative industry don't get to like... escape their race. it's always there. it's considered in casting, it's considered in people accepting your writing; we're expected to be the representatives of our races/tell our 'cultural story' every time we write/provide a 'different perspective' on the industry/whatever. i will never be just 'a writer' or 'an actor' or 'a director'. i will be the filipino writer/actor/director, and expected to be telling THAT story at all times, and used as the diversity checkmark by white people. and in some ways this is a responsibility poc have! when we are able to reach these places, when so few of us get to, we have a chance to be the representation people need, so we do! but unlike white people, we will never be considered 'aracial' or the default. and not only is this wildly fucking unfair, for white ppl to get this benefit of just! writing a white person without saying so! and people manufacturing representation in a way that makes their shit popular! while poc cannot! it's also like... we're always expected to tell our damn racial story. white people can fucking own up to the fact that they're telling theirs. who knows, that honesty might even make your writing better.
...that got very kind of angry and passionate and also i'm sure there's more reasons? it is VERY early like i said but i. i'm real tired of seeing that same old 'well but they're just beginners so it's fine to be so fucking white!!' thing. maybe once upon a time it was, when podcasts as a whole were still finding their ground. now, when you're breaking into podcasting, there is a whole bunch of groundwork laid out for you. you can grow past that.

Can you explain to me how Rachel was annoying in the series?
Well, I’ll try to keep myself short for this one (lol no, this took an hour to write). Also, let’s not forget that they’re all kids, but I’m basing this off from when I read the series as a fourteen year old because my opinions haven’t changed much (for better or for worse).
I’m not the biggest fan of Rachel. I have to admit that portrayals of her by Simi, Kit, Logan, Apollo and all the others helped to shape her into something cooler than what she had been in my foggy memories but I actually went back to take a look in the books (well, TTC + BOTL so far) to refreshen my mind about events that have happened.
Also, you should browse through @blackjacktheboss's blog as she’s a) hilarious and b) says whatever I say in like a single sentence lol. But your ask is about me and my opinions so here we go:
What I didn’t like about Rachel was that she’s rude and bold (DON’T GET ME WRONG, I love that in female characters!!!), but she doesn’t have Annabeth’s excuse of survival of the fittest (literally running off as a traumatized seven year old) and introducing us into the world of the Riordanverse.
Percy was on his way, had shit to deal with and Rachel pretty much interrupted him from the get-go and thought getting her answers was more important than letting Percy just rush forward. Yes, this is Rachel’s entrance into the series and the net Riordan threw into the sea, to make us little fish adapt to her. But it still didn’t sit right with me, probably because I would never interact that way.
I get why she did that, but it’s the way how she did it that’s just making me go ???
Even if I was seeing weird things, I wouldn’t set out to distract/interrupt someone who is incredibly busy to get my way. Rachel’s dick move seems like a Karen boomer type of thing to pull off, but guess that’s up to you.
If I were her, I’d either film/try to photograph the monsters via phone (if that’s possible) or internet stalk enough to find the other person (note: despite Riordan’s stupid rule of not being able to use phones, demigods still can use computers/the internet, I guess). Percy was national news like a year or two ago in the timeline, so it shouldn’t be that difficult to find more stuff out about him, even in like 2008 or so. Let him have a spot on Perez Hilton's shitty gossip blog, for the OGs reading this.
Annabeth was used as a tool of exposition to introduce us to CHB, the demigod life and how things roll around there. She barged into Percy’s mission as a nuisance first but a necessity second in TLT.
However, in comparison to Rachel, Annabeth was transformed into a fully-fledged protagonist within a span of a chapter or two. Rachel needed another separate book after her first appearance, so we don’t just know Annabeth better, we know that she’s an important constant throughout the story as of Rachel seems… almost random? Is she truly necessary as a character?
This doesn’t come from a shipper perspective, this is coming from a character design perspective and adds to the feeling that the way she has been introduced to me as a reader just seems off.
Yes, BOTL makes sense with her as a reborn Ariadne, but technically Sally could’ve done the job as she’s a clear-sighted mortal as well lol. Then again, Sally is an adult, went to college, had a job, was unfortunately probably working it up with Paul, did the cha cha slide with him and had overall better shit to do.
Then Rachel as the oracle, which is just super weird in general. Wasn’t Apollo himself responsible for issuing prophecies in the OG myths? Or did he both, have the oracle of Delphi as his spokesperson and issue important stuff to Team Olympus? Am I mixing things up? I’m getting sidetracked, my bad.
Either way, this oracle gig might be the only time I’d say Rachel might be important in the future (badum tzz), but Riordan fumbled the bag in the follow ups series so there’s that. Did she even appear in HOO? Can’t remember and also don’t care.
Rachel is used as one out of three choices in regard to his love life that Percy can make. Calypso literally got introduced into BOTL and was admittedly Percy’s biggest what if… But the general gist doesn’t sit right with me. We have three possible routes with Percy and the others:
Rachel: somewhat normality in the mortal realm
Annabeth: the danger and thrill of the demigod life
Calypso: ambrosia and nectar. a hint of immortality
(On one hand, literally why but on the other hand, mad props for Percy who has literally three romantic leads in the same book.) I’d cancel one of them at least out and since Annabeth isn’t going anywhere, I’m taking Rachel. Sally could literally been Percy’s anchor to a normal mortal life as she had intended until it didn’t work out anymore when he became twelve and his monster alerting scent grew stronger.
Calypso and Annabeth would’ve been the perfect opposites where each of them had a strong case. The demigod life within the realms or mortal or the demigod life ascending to Olympus/immortality. Sounds cooler and is way simpler. Three people is way too much, this truly feels like a shonen anime harem thing and it’s defo not my cup of tea (and while some Annabeth sideships aren’t my thing (Lukabeth go cry in the corner, no one likes you, WTF, Connabeth you fugly), it’s super unfair that Annabeth solely has Percy (fuck off Luke) to rely on in regards of romantic endeavors).
Rachel almost feels redundant? The option to walk away from all of that… which isn’t really true as Rachel really tries to push and insert herself into the story the very first time we meet her? But that’s just me, I’m certain that others are saying they’d kill off Annabeth or kick Calypso (I mean yeah) into the curb.
Big ALSO:
Why does Percy need another white and uber-rich love interest?
I semi-joked on Dez’ post (@sawasawako) with this response about Annabeth needing to keep up with powerful Rachel, but the core still stands.
We already have an affluent Annabeth (granted, we don’t know exactly how the Chase’s riches are divided, whereas it’s clear that Rachel can just make anyone drop dead by saying who she is. Annabeth needed that weird lotus casino credit card to make that happen, so Miss Harvard Legacy doesn’t wield that Dare schmoney. Also don’t think Annabeth can just up papa’s money and go…? Idk).
Why do we need another person needing to upstage this?
Like Rachel has to triumph in regards to standard and prestige as if it were a badly written Jane Austen AU. For what reason…? Why not make Percy friends and acquaintances with someone who comes from a normal household for once, not super rich brats (Piper, Annabeth, Rachel, technically the Graces with their TV starlet mother amongst others).
Moreover…
Important question: why should Percy actually be impressed/attracted to that? He’s dirt poor and has been sent to (boarding) schools filled with stupid rich people since he’s been twelve, probably even younger than that. As if that’s the very first thing Percy would look out for or be wowed or something. He’s used to rich douchebags. I think he’s more surprised that someone used their money for his benefit for once and not to crash daddy’s new Mercedes again.
Like seriously… Rachel did that weird art project thing in BOTL with her covered in gold and posing like it’s a super normal thing to do? Even for rich snobbish kids standards? That sounds weird to me. I don’t know, maybe Riordan’s been streaming the new Gossip Girl reboot on HBO Max on repeat and thought this girl is on fiyah (performed by Alicia Keys).
Rachel trying to separate herself from her money just comes off as super hypocritical when she’s using the very same funds to finance her lifestyle. I get it, trying to make amends and make a difference with the damage you have done but... your father still doesn't give a shit about the environment or YOU, sweetie. Kick him in the balls for once! Then you can go out about your art projects.
The concept of Percy having friends in the mortal realm is cool, but why does Rachel almost have to compete with Annabeth with her wealth and art stuff?
No seriously, the comparisons are constantly there, out and about. Roaming freely on the finest grass, needing to be feed delicious locally sourced carrots and stuff.
Annabeth is Athena’s kid. Athena is the goddess of wisdom, weaving, justice, warfare yada yada and arts and crafts. So definitely something which would affect Rachel, right (someone write that Athena messing with Rachel because she can AU and tag me please!)?
Annabeth wants to become an architect which translates to fancy building designer who is driving engineers like Leonardo Eugenio Valdez Cortes insane irl because the maths and physics don't work like that in the working field trust me I'm an engineer, which could/should be considered an art form.
They even shared some common ground while talking about architecture and design in BOTL!
Furthermore, they both share broken homes with absent parents (granted that all demigods go through that). Wealthy families at that as well. Shitty fathers that don’t care about their daughters well-being. Rachel however, is super powerful and influential in an unseen level in the mortal world. She isn’t like Matt Sloan (?) who truly messes up by destroying shit to get his father's attention, but she’s still in that circle and can easily demonstrate that. Making deals with her father and what not. We rarely see Annabeth doing that. Did y’all forget the fucking helicopter Rachel brought along in TLO?
Pan saying Rachel is just as important as her father has multiple meanings to me…
(Sidenote: I do think it’s hilarious that Annabeth is jealous/annoyed of Rachel that her remarks were she’s cute right and Percy went??? Or when Tyson said Rachel’s pretty? Or that time when Annabeth actually defended Luke and his weird behavior (because Kronos was slowly taking over, don’t forget that kids!), because f that rich artist nepotism kid that Rachel seems to be, right?)
Another note: Percy thinks Rachel is annoying in BOTL for a while and it took a while for him to admit that and he spent way more time being annoyed/jealous (for once, Lordy) at Luke for him to even notice lol.
I guess it’s really hard for me to exactly pinpoint what’s bothering me. I believe Rachel's persona just doesn’t seem to hit right, because it feels like a knock-off Annabeth who just simply isn’t a demigod, yet has two cool powers, but in even richer who still needs to be part of the story for exactly what reason?
The jumping around from the richest in the series to the poorest in the series is kinda bothering me as if the middle class doesn’t exist, like I’ve stated earlier. Why didn’t Riordan mix it up with Rachel, giving her more nuance the minute they met, not towards the end? Have her be Percy’s platonic friend from the get go. No weird oh wait she is kinda cute in the middle bullshit.
This kinda drifted more into a Perachel vs Percabeth essay, which really wasn’t my intention. Don’t worry kids, I’m criticizing Annabeth (and her stans) enough already.
And I do think that others in the fandom have softened my views on Rachel as a person like I’ve stated in the beginning. So friendship!Perachel is popping! But I do think that there are some valid points that I’ve made.
Also not gonna lie, Rachel issuing the new prophecy in TLO kinda dampened the end of PJO series but that’s more Riordan’s fault than hers.
TLDR: I’m just not a huge fan of this overbearing, uber-rich, excessively flaunting being that Rachel sometimes displays. She’s flawed, she’s broken at times, has a semi-interesting background story (although it has been done over and over again throughout the series and should be changed up for once) which is great, but it is still annoying.
We don’t need an anti-Annabeth who feels like a weird caricature of the real Annabeth.
Also if this seems super incoherent, repetitive, or whatever, I'm sorry, massive headaches + mental health going down the goo lagoon does this to ya, I hope I made somewhat sense!

Note
Hi you beautiful person! If you’re still taking requests then I would like to request for Ahkmenrah! Sorry if this is too long but how about y/n is a cat burglar and breaks into the museum to steal sum shit (they notice the lights on beforehand but thought that it was just the night guard). But then they notice that there’s, like, A LOT of “people” still present at the museum. They already took a few things so they go to hide in the Egypt exhibit till the coast is clear but then when they notice that the sarcophagus is wide open and the mummy isn’t there they get rly freaked out and about to leave the exhibit but run into Ahk and he’s rly confused and notices that they’re a thief and even tho he was raised to be cruel to thieves he felt rly drawn and hypnotized by y/n (it was love at first sight for him). He simps so hard that he lets them go only if they leave the stuff they tried to steal but they refuse to leave empty handed so Ahk simps again and gives them one of his pieces of jewelry to have. They’re confused but go with it then dip through the window and Ahk watches them escape into the night from the window with a dreamy look on his face. And Larry’s behind him like “wtf just happened?” Sorry again if that was too long! Please take as much time as you need if you decide to do this <3
notes: anon. ANON. i love you and i love this idea, idk why i never thought of this but i fucking adore it thank you WC: 1.6k

Grappling hooks––the fevered dream of a madman that worked only partway in theory, and not at all in practice. Still, you liked the look of them, and kept one seated on your belt while you used a more practical means of breaking and entering.
Very rarely did you ever break into buildings who still had their lights on. For this you would have to make an exception; the museum, which you had scouted out every day for two weeks, always had its' lights on. That would not deter you. American and British museums were essentially always corrupt in some way, unwilling to return the stolen artifacts of foreign countries. You kept that at the forefront of your mind, a little smidgen of motivation, as you jammed the window lock open.
The wind brushing against your dark coat vanished as you entered, sudden air conditioning bringing the temperature to a more pleasant 70 degrees. Hanging off the side of a building with no leverage but a small, outer windowsill had left your fingers numb, joints aching with built up pressure. You shook them out, clicking your pocket knife shut and stuffing it in one of your pockets.
For a minute you remained in the shadowed hallway, listening closely to the sound of footsteps, and watching carefully the shadows casted on the wall to your right. Your brow furrowed––that couldn't be right. The only person who was supposed to be in the museum was the night guard, which last you checked there was only one of them, and maybe the director. You could hear the footsteps of a whole crowd, the murmuring hum of distant conversation, and the vibrating beats of music coming through stereo speakers.
Taking a tentative step forward, you kept your hand poised over your knife just in case. As many times as you've done this, you can't recall any time that you've robbed a place while the owners were still inside.
You came to find out about two minutes later that while the owners are in fact inside, it wasn't them making the noise. Peering out behind the wall, you could see far off the balcony, into the entrance of the museum where a congregation had gathered. It's not... normal, though. None of them are wearing normal clothes. Actually, it looked more like they stole all the exhibits clothes, which would partly explain why all the exhibits were empty.
"This is not normal," you mumbled beneath your breath to yourself, mimicking Harry Potter's voice. Third movie.
You quickly retraced your steps, returning to the window you crawled into. Once more you went through the hallway, double checking everything, and picking up what valuables you could find in the vacant rooms. The Greek section payed off, as did the Chinese, but before you could move to the next era the night guard came walking down the hallway with a group of people in tow. He doesn't seem all that bothered by the fact that none of the exhibits are there, and that all of his friends are wearing the clothes of the exhibits.
And then you saw it.
A monster of entirely bone, whose teeth bared constantly in sharp, jagged lines. The backbones creaked and cracked against each other when its' neck moved, pulling its' heavy skull to watch the people with empty eye sockets.
Nope. Nope, nope, nope.
Where was the exit? You'd gone down two flights of stairs, up one, and down one, but you couldn't remember the order. There had to be an exit on this floor. When the group passed by you, you darted in the opposite direction, paying no attention to the artifacts as the walls blurred around you.
Your breath began to catch up with you soon, heaving your chest up and down as your legs burned. Before your body could give out on you, you slid into the next hallway, ducking behind one of the massive pillars and finally collapsing. Three minutes passed before you could breathe normally. Only then, with most of your wits back about you, did you notice the hieroglyphs your nails dug desperately into on the pillar.
More footsteps outside the long, Egyptian hallway sent you padding deeper in, till you found yourself bumping against the open glass case around a golden casket. The face, which you would've expected to be on the head, was instead cast aside as the top was open. Inside––nothing. Scraps of linen and spells written in an incomprehensible language.
"What the fuuuuck," you whispered to yourself. "What the fuuuuck..."
What the hell is going on h-
Something bumped against your back, sending you stumbling forward before you could just barely stabilize yourself. You whipped around, eyes wide as you came face to face with a man bearing an outrageously golden crown, and donned entirely in Egyptian cloth.
Entirely dumbstruck, your mouth hung open, and you said nothing as the man stared at you in the same bewilderment.
"Why do you have that?" He suddenly asked, eyes falling to the gold and lapis necklace dangling out of your bag.
You stuffed it back inside and said, "mother's."
"Yes," he chuckled, "my mother's. I was buried with that and I'd rather appreciate it if you gave it back."
The narrowing of your eyes gave away what you tried your best to keep hidden––the numerous treasures concealed in your duffel bag.
"You're robbing us, aren't you?"
You said nothing.
"Why are you stealing our belongings?"
"Why are you acting like they belong to you?" You finally replied. "They belonged to people long dead. Just because you're wearing the robes doesn't make you the Pharaoh, and – and why the fuck are you dressed in Egyptian clothes?"
"Well I was, again, buried in this. It's this or the linen and the linen reveals a little more than people would probably like. My name is Ahkmenrah," he bowed slightly, taking your gloved hand and kissing the back of it, "the Pharaoh from the sarcophagus."
"You really expect me to believe that?"
"Doesn't matter what you believe. What matters is that you return what you've stolen," he said, straightening himself out and outstretching his hand. As if you'd return what you've taken.
He waited for a good minute, and when you didn't relent, his expression grew weary.
"Do you want me to get the night guard?"
"No," you said quickly, eyes darting up in panic.
"I will let you go, free of punishment, if you return what you've taken and leave. Come back when you're not looking to steal."
"I am not leaving here empty-handed," you hissed, stepping closer to get up in his face. To your surprise (though you didn't dare show your surprise on your face) a blush began to fill his cheeks.
"I... uh.. y - oh Gods," he grumbled, shaky eyes darting all across your face but never meeting your gaze. "Fine. Fine, you – take this. If you return the other things you can take this."
He stayed rooted to the spot, but bent to pull at his skirt. At first you almost stopped him, already convinced he was about to strip down, but when he ripped at the silk your mouth hung open in silence.
"Ever learn about the history of textiles?" He asked you as he handed you the long strip of golden fabric.
You shook your head no. The cloth barely weighed anything, softer than anything you'd touched, and nearly thin enough to see through it.
"Much Egyptian and Arabic fabric is revered for the talents your people have lost to time. It's a special recipe you cannot replicate with any modern tool. This'll bring you a fortune if you find the right person," he said, cocking his head to the side as he watched you carefully. "It's gold sewn into silk."
Only a moment of thought passed before you dropped your bag, kneeling in front of the Pharaoh and pulling at the zipper. His sandals slid away from you as he gave you space, and soon you were pulling out different necklaces and combs, setting them on the floor in front of him in silence.
"I don't know where the exit is," you mumbled as you carefully pocketed the silk, moving back to your feet.
"How did you get in?"
"Through the window."
"... ah. I'll show you to one of them, then."
He snuck you around the museum, showed you how to avoid the crowds, and at each turn you memorized the path. If you ever wanted to come back for anything else, you would need to know such tactics. Soon enough he was showing you to a window a story off the ground, and though he was hesitant to allow you to leave out it, you informed him you quite adept at climbing walls.
Clambering out the window, you paused with your foot notched into a dip in the outer wall.
"Why are you helping me like this? You didn't have to do that," you asked, and though it wasn't a question you had been thinking of, there was a very sudden urge within you to have it answered. "Aren't you a Pharaoh? They hate thieves, right?"
"I.. um, well, there's... I suppose – you caught me in a good mood," he very obviously lied. You raised a single brow questioningly, but made no further attempt to pull the truth out of him.
Instead, you ducked out the window, falling quickly into the snow and rushing off into the dark of night. A moment later he heard the revving of a car, and then the squealing of tires sliding against the pavement roads. Ahk sighed softly, the tension in his chest giving way as he rested his elbow on the window's sill, his palm pushing against his blushing cheek.
"What the fuck was that about?" Larry asked from behind him. His dreamy expression immediately gave way to embarrassment.
"Nothing," he quickly insisted. "Just... being a little softhearted."

Watching The Amazing Spidernan movies so that I’m all caught up before No Way Home. Will add my thoughts as I have them. Note I am not some big Spider-Man fan nor have I read the comics so if my thoughts sound kinda stupid they probably are.
First movie:
That’s a good trick with the broom. Making a mental note as we speak.
Actually seeing Peter say goodbye to his parents is horrible and I would like to never experience it again
SALLY FIELD IS AUNT MAY?! Why does this one have the good cast? (not good as in better but good as in more well known)
The sexual tension in “good morning flash…good morning Peter” (this is a joke I’m not shipping him with his bully)
Jesus roid rage much?
Shut your blinds! I don’t know who would be looking in your window at this exact moment but close them anyway!
First careful, you never know who is watching what you search (when did I become this person)
Second…curt connors is ableist.
Poor Rodrigo Guevara
Oh internalised ableism. And that is the only comment I will make going forward because my disabilities do not include limb difference and I dont want to overstep.
Stop following the man, you are not subtle…wait wtf how’d he do that?!
This is where he gets his powers right?
Okay but when would 5 men make that much of a fuss over a woman that only 1 of them seems to know?
Same. (This is in reference to smashing the alarm clock)
Oh my god is it really necessary to show all the different kinds of spider bites.
Actually just going back to the internalised ableism thing…he is allowed to feel whatever type of way about his own disability that is his right. But insinuating that all disabled people are weak and wanting to breed out the weakness is eugenics and just kinda gross. THIS is the final comment I will make on the matter.
No but seriously he is way more aggressive than regular teen boy aggressive so either he’s on something or he’s overcompensating for something
The way he looks at him doe (again all jokes am not shipping flash and Peter)
Why is this so awkward? And not like teens navigating a crush awkward just genuinely awkward. I feel no chemistry between them.
I like the song, it’s an interesting choice for this scene but I like it.
Stop does uncle Ben die now? Like I know uncle Ben dies at some point but I was really kinda hoping he just wouldn’t in this iteration. I was going for a ninth doctor moment “just this once everybody lives”
MOTHERFUCKER
God Sally is incredible
Don’t show me moments of Flash being human I might accidentally start shipping them for real and that simply can’t happen.
Oooh he’s a fashion designer
I just really enjoy how he takes the piss out of his victims? Arrests?
Is Gwen aware that the school nurse can’t cure everything? Both legally and just like generally doesn’t have the knowledge to cure everything. She suggests going to the nurse a lot.
This family gives me bad vibes
This is a long movie…it’s not even half way through
Well that’s one way to tell her
NOT GEORGE FOYET!
I think with what I remember of SpiderTobey and what I know of SpiderTom, Andrews Spider-Man is definitely better with the people he’s rescuing. Smoother, good bedside manner.
His sons name is Jack. Why does that make me angry?
So he’s just not gonna rescue the other people hanging off the bridge?
It’s almost poetic that the son of the man tried to stop him the first time will be the one to stop him now
Now how is he getting enough power in the sewer
No means no Peter
Does she die in this one or the next one? I don’t imagine her dying will help captain stacey see him as a good guy
Stan 🥺
This movie is exhausting and I don’t know if I mean that in a good way or a bad way.
MoThEr HuBbArD aRe YoU sErIoUs
He managed to get three whole words out and you didn’t think to ease up on the trigger a little to hear what those words might be?
She’s very clever and I will be sad to see her go
That wasn’t her scream. Or it was but from a different take.
Foyet about to be coming in clutch
I’m going to cry.
He’s so ugly. Some lizards are really cute but lizard + human, kinda gross looking.
Well shit. I didn’t know that happened. I guess what I said about him being upset with Peter about Gwen is irrelevant. Unless it isn’t, like if you believe in the afterlife, imagine how pissed he’s gonna be when Gwen arrives.
He finally got the eggs 🥺
As someone who’s boyfriend at the time didn’t go to her fathers funeral I feel ya Gwen. I mean I don’t care now but at the time it sucked.
Dr Connors was just in a silly goofy mood. He seems to show genuine care for the boy (this is mostly sarcasm).
Second movie
Oh we’re going back to peters dad.
How do they have access to a private jet?
Miss Honey is badass
Ngl I’m actually quite relieved they both died before the plane crashed. Stil devastating though.
Okay so this is first up on the list of potential mystery villains in No Way Home…he looks like a tool.
HeLLo PeDeStRiAnS
He really just let Spider-Man put his hand on his tongue. Sir do you know where his hand has been? Not to mention just in general the feeling of spandex on your tongue. I feel ill.
No respect for the proper care of plutonium.
Please don’t ever say “come to daddy” again 😂
I’m kinda sad Jamie Fox becomes a villain, his character seems kinda sweet so far from the 2 seconds I’ve seen of him
You mean to tell me he missed his girlfriend’s fathers funeral AND her valedictorian speech?!
Stan x2 🥺
Because you can’t lose me you’re going to lose me? 😂
I love her jacket
Why are they still pretending like she doesn’t know?
I may have spoken to soon about Max
See I would be speeding up daddy’s death if he told me he’d passed down a genetic disease and just decided not to tell me.
Friendship.
Okay max is still a little bit nutty but you gotta feel bad for the guy. He must’ve been so scared.
Don’t smile that’s not cute, if he was a regular boy you’d file a restraining order.
Oh I see Spider-Man is gonna fight him which will make him turn and become the “bad guy” whether he will actually be a bad guy is still unknown.
This scene is actually kinda just making me angry (the time square scene)
Cops suck man. Peter was talking him down just fine.
Did nobody teach these people not to touch metal when there’s electricity about.
Interesting that I didn’t pick up any chemistry from them in the first movie weren’t they an actual couple for a while?
Another good song with an interesting placement
I’m sorry did the caller ID not say Mary Parker? How was it Harry on the phone?
Run Gwen!
This version of Harry is kinda creepy I’m sure the actor is swell but the character is terrifying. Original version Harry was swell whereas the actor is…
“Maybe everyone has a part of themselves they hide” gives him the eye
This movies shorter or at least it feels shorter
An excellent show of what happens when you tell a rich daddy’s boy no for the first time.
This makes me very sad. She’s so excited for the possibility of Oxford.
As much as Harry disturbs me, I want him to burn his entire team.
His daddy really did love him!
I think it’s mostly his eyes, his behaviour can be explained by trauma (why I find Harry creepy)
Okay most of his behaviour. The taking joy in killing people that’s just him being nutty and not a trauma response.
This is fucked up. And where is Peter? he is off chasing a girl who has broken up with him twice now.
PLANES NEED THE POWER!
I really like SpiderAndrew, the movies are fine but as a character I thoroughly enjoy him
Sorcerers apprentice who?
Captain Stacy can’t blame him! She’s clearly stubborn as hell and her own free woman
I quite literally stopped breathing (in reference to the almost plane crash)
Is this why they made it Gwen and not MJ so that he could kill her and be an actual bad guy? From my little knowledge of the comics and what I’ve seen from the movies Harry would never hurt MJ so it had to be someone else important to Peter but not super important to him for him to a real bad guy
I like that Harry actually looks like a goblin.
What was the disease he’s supposed to have?
This poor family. I know I said they gave me bad vibes in the first movie but nobody deserves this.
He looks less like a tool with his suit on…but only slightly less
Baby you better get back behind that baracade!
Nobody talk to me I’m very emotional. This child looks very much like a magical mix of all 3 of my brothers put together and seeing him stand there so brave but so scared is doing something to me.
Final thoughts:
So I think SpiderAndrew might be a close second favourite for me. I like the relationships of the original the most, the comedy of the mcu version the most but this one was like a nice in between. Im a little disappointed there won’t be a third not cos I think I would have enjoyed it just cos the original had 3 movies, the mcu version will have at least 3 movies and this one is left out with 2. Don’t think I would have loved Shailene Woodley as MJ though so I dunno. I think the only thing I would have wanted from a third movie is to know who fedora guy is…and for Peter and May to acknowledge that they both know that he is Spider-Man. Apart from that it was fine and I now feel fully prepared for No Way Home.

Never be Apart
 Yandere Shigaraki x Reader
Warnings: Angst, slight physical abuse, kidnapping
A/N: We’re back on the angst train babies! okay for the sake of the story lets just say that shigaraki has to touch you with all five fingers for his decay to continue to eat you up. Like if he touched you on accident with five fingers and he let go it wouldn’t continue. I know this isn’t how his quirk goes but for the sake of the story pretend it is
================================================
You sat on bar stools looking at shigaraki’s room. Wondering when your lover would come out and stop sulking. Nothing barely even happened, both of you had gotten into a little fight....
Yeah a little....
“Tomura please listen to me! Your going to get yourself killed if your not careful enough!”
“I know what im doing damnit! You know nothing!”
“It’s not that i don’t know its that im worried for you! I love you and seeing you hurt scares me!”
“I’ll be fine jesus!”
“Are you even listening?! Do you not see how your careless fighting has effected me?! I love you and everyday i have to worry if the love of my life will even come back!”
“Do you have no faith in me woman?! Fuck this im going to my room...” He said before stomping off to his room.
That was 3 days ago.
================================================
You knock on his door in hopes to talk to him. Breathing through your nose as you put your ear against the door trying to hear any noises that could becoming from your lover.
“Shiggy baby please, can you please open the door. I just want to talk!” You whimper out to him. You hear angry grumbling coming from the other side of the door.
“Go away!” He replies from the other side. You take a deep breathe as you walk in anyways. You had bought him the new game he had been chatting about for awhile and got him some snack along the way. It was hopefully something you guys can do to make up. It was all package nicely in a gift box you had gotten.
“I thought i told you to go away. Did you not even hear me?!”
‘oh god here we go again.’
“Shiggy come on please listen. Look what i got you-” Before you could finish Shigaraki grabbed it with his hand and threw it to the other side of his messy room.
“HEY WTH?!” You yelled at him. It was expensive you you would be rightfully pissed if he broke it.
“I don’t need some stupid gift! Now go away!”
“Shigaraki im your fucking girlfriend for chirst sakes! I love you and im allowed to worry about you! Wtf do you see me as then?! Some tool who you just have sex with?!” You screamed in his face.
Before you could even think Shigaraki’s hand came down and slapped you across the face. The painful sting of the slap came right away before you slowly cupped your hand to your cheek and saw little dust particles in the palm of your hand.
You slowly look up at shigaraki while backing up, fear filled your eyes as proof of that slid down your cheeks in the form of tears. Shigaraki just stood still his knees shaking as you can’t see his expression through father. You had decided that you weren’t gonna stand for this anymore. You had dealt with enough of his tantrums, and enough with him all in general. You had always been there for him and now he actually slapped you? Your mind went to what could of happened. What if he tried to kill you?
“(y/n), I-I...”
“Im breaking up with you.” You said while standing up looking right into his eyes tears sliding down your face as a patch of the flesh on your cheek was gone.
“wh-what no ple-” You didn’t give him the time to try and redeem himself before you stomped out of the bar and back to your own apartment.
Shigaraki just stood there in his room knee’s shaking as his whole body felt weak. His arm had been outstretched towards you in hopes to grab you in hopes he could bring you back to him. His mouth was agape behind father as if a silent cry out for you to come back. Slowly his hand dropped to his side before he ran to his bedroom door and slammed it shut locking it as well. He only made it to his bed before he collapsed onto it and moved into a fetal position. He started sobbing uncontrollably as the thought of never seeing you again pulled at his heart, he couldn’t handle losing you after losing so many other people in his life.
He moved his foot and felt an unfamiliar object on his bed. He looked up a bit to see the little gift you had bought him. He quickly scrambled over to it and looked at it carefully. He didn’t want to disintegrate any of it. He slowly undid the little ribbon you did and opened up the lid. He couldn’t help but feel some more tears stream down his face.
You had gotten him the game he wanted along with all his favorite junk food. He slowly dug everything out and saw at the bottom a little handwritten note. He slowly picked it up with shaking hands as he opened the note up. He couldn’t even get past the first line before tears blocked his eyes sight.
“Damn it, damn it, damn it!” He repeated to himself as he curled back into the fetal postion and held onto one of your shirts you had left there. Holding it to his face as he caught your scent. Holding it close fearing it would leave him just like you did. He didn’t know what to do...he scared you away and now you probably weren’t ever coming back. Unless.....
================================================
You woke up to a dark room. Due to the darkness you can’t make out much details. You go to get up when you realized that both of your feet had been shackled to the wall behind you. You scream out hoping someone would hear your cries and come rescue you. Both only muffled noises were heard through the cloth that gagged your mouth. Your hands tied up behind your back as you cried for someone to help you.
You perk up once you hear shuffling coming from the other side of the room. You look around to hope to get a little detail on them when a small light was turned on and the sudden realization came to you.
You were in Shigaraki’s room.
Your eyes widen once you saw a familiar mop of blue hair coming in your direction. You walk backwards tripping on your chain as your back hit the wall. You looked around in hopes this was a bad dream.
“I was so scared you know...” You yelp as you see Shigaraki come closer and sit right beside you. You try to move only for him to wrap an arm around your waist causing you to stop.
“I was scared you were going to leave me, i had no other choice! I-I can’t let you leave me.” He took father off of his face and let go of your waist before laying his head on your lap.
“mmph! mmm!” You try to form words but all that came out were muffled sounds.
“Thank you for your gift. I really like it.” He spoke softly as he nuzzled his head closer to your stomach. You felt him leave a light kiss on your stomach above your shirt. You try to shuffle away from him but as soon as you might the slightest movement choked sobs came down from under you. You look down to see Shigaraki clutching you shirt as he sobbed into it, drenching it in his tears.
His tears were soon replaced by laughter as he looked at you with a crazed smile.
“Now that you’re tied up you can never leave me! You can stay with me forever!” His eyes widen as a sick smile spread over his face before he leaned up and moved his mouth to your ear,
“Now we’ll never be apart...”
