listen maybe this is just because i've always been a slut for pov outsider fics anyway but i desperately want some on our dork trent crimm. like. the character development??? his softness and dorkification???? i need someone to be like just. what do people think about this. like whether it's a random richmond player, a random reporter trent worked with, someone from trent's personal life, another rando in the sports field who's used to trent crimm, the independent, ruthless reporter, or whoever, just. random people watching trent crimm go from "ah yeah that asshole reporter who specifically has a reputation for being a ruthless cutting bitch" to "openly excitable dork who clearly cares so goddamn much and is visibly softer and has he just secretly always been like this??"

it would probably have to be someone who's close enough to him or richmond now to like, be able to see the change, but i just. am obsessed with this. and that's not even getting into considering the angles of his possible ex-wife/divorce + if non-audience-members can tell he's madly in love with ted or not, because i'm not sure if it's funnier if they're like "trent crimm is a huge dork now and we have no idea why????? i guess this is just the lasso effect fucking bending reality again??" or if they're like "hey fucking WILD that that one journalist specifically known for being a huge asshole apparently fell so ass over teakettle in love with that weird cowboy miracle worker of a gaffer that he divorced his wife, exploded his job, and had a radical personality shift via apparently deciding to be emotionally vulnerable. and all of this after writing a pretty fucked exposé on him?? why does no one talk about this more"

Stede is gonna be mediocre at sex with Ed? Like that man doesn’t pay attention to the smallest detail down to Ed’s pinky nail and wells of psychological trauma? Like that man hasn’t spent months putting together strings of words that burrow straight into Ed’s soul as soon as they’re found? Like that man doesn’t have a lifetime of repressed desires just bursting to get out of him? Like that man doesn’t know exactly how Ed feels from moment to moment, has since the first time they met, and has taken a Master’s level course in The Study of Edward Teach since?

Like, good sex ain't pure mechanics. It’s being attuned to your partner's needs and desires and listening to what they like and what they don’t. There are plenty of people who have tons of sex but aren’t really good at it because they’re more concerned about their pleasure than their partner’s.

And it’s also about the partner. Ed’s not just lying there letting Stede get on with it. He’s guiding and talking and responding and giving Stede pleasure too. Not to mention encouragement, and you know that Stede Bonnet responds well to positive reinforcement.

So while he may not be 100% competent with the mechanics yet, you better believe Stede is listening to every goddamn sound Ed makes, and every goddamn reaction his body has, and making an exhaustive list of exactly How to Make Edward Teach Come So Hard That He Blacks Out And It’s Actually Kind Of Scary For A Minute that he will dictate to Lucius the next morning.

Stede’s whole thing is that what he lacks in mechanical skills he makes up for in empathetic wisdom, whimsical enthusiasm, and a wholehearted dedication to the bit. Like, you think that little man so pocked with self-esteem issues would be so goddamn smug the next morning if he didn’t KNOW he had just fixed Ed’s lower back?

I think we lean into Stede being a cringe-fail dork while sometimes ignoring that he does actually have a strong skill set that includes emotional intelligence, planning and innovation, and being in love with Ed.

Tl;dr: Stede Bonnet, Worst Pirate of the Caribbean, made Edward Teach see colors in a whole new spectrum. And that was just their first time. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Randy cackled as he watched a couple of his friends get into a shoving match. Everybody was stuck in some small town because of road work, so Y/n was forced to spend the night in the hotel bar with everybody else. Her roommate for the night had brought someone up to the room and had demanded complete privacy. That meant, Y/n was stuck there until her roommate came down for the night, if she did.

The clock was nearing midnight, and there were no signs that she would come down anytime soon. Y/n didn't want to sleep in the lobby, but it was looking that way. She doubted that Randy would be willing to let her crash with him for the night. He hadn't been in a very giving mood since losing his title.

"You're up late." Y/n grimaced at the sound of a familiarly slurred voice next to her. "Get the sex boot too?"

"Yep," Y/n said as she avoided making eye contact. Randy would absolutely kill Wade if he caught him talking to Y/n. They had been friendly until Wade started hitting on Y/n, asking to rekindle their old relationship. Randy hadn't openly come out and admitted his feelings for Y/n, but he had gotten himself a pretty lengthy suspension for his behavior.

"You can stay in my room if you'd like," Wade offered. Y/n kept her head down as she picked at the label of her drink. "Come on baby, look at me."

"Maybe she would if you didn't look like a damn caveman," Randy said as he slid up next to Y/n. Wade scowled at him as the two men had a staredown over Y/n's head. "Are you tired baby? Come on, I'll take you back to my room. Cody and Ted are gonna be awhile."

"Night Wade," Y/n muttered as Randy pulled her away. Randy made a show of sticking his hand onto Y/n's ass as they walked away for Wade to see. "You're an asshole."

"I hope there's a but coming."

"But I love you," Y/n added. Randy beamed at her words, his guard obviously a bit down from the drinks. Y/n stepped into the elevator and waited for Randy to join her and press the button. "Are you coming?"

"Not yet, but thank you for offering." Randy was smiling like he had just said the funniest thing in the world. Y/n leaned back against the wall as she rolled her eyes at him. She didn't understand how he could go from being the most suave man she had ever met to that dork. It was only bound to get worse the more comfortable that they got around each other, but Y/n was looking forward to seeing the real Randy. She knew that so much of his personality was a facade that was just waiting for the right person to drop around. She knew that he could be the man of her dreams if he stopped trying to be cool for everybody else.

"Just get over here please," Y/n said. Randy hopped into the elevator and stared at the buttons expectantly. "I don't know what floor you're on."

"Oh right. Right." Randy pressed the button and then immediately started jumping up and down. Y/n knew what he was trying to do, but she doubted that he'd succeed in it. It was whenever he got his group of merry idiots to join in that she ever really got worried. Randy could be a little destructive on his own, but it was so much worse with Ted, Cody, and the others.

"I'm pretty tired. Will you carry me to the room?" Y/n asked. She had expected Randy to make some stupid quip, but instead he just scooped her into his arms. He carried her down the hall in his arms bridal style. Y/n's arms clung around his neck, opposite to the side where she had buried her face. Randy carried her all the way into the room and over to the bed, where he dumped her somewhat clumsily onto the mattress.

"I'm gonna hop in the shower. You don't have to be sexy when I get back, Ted took the last of the condoms." Randy had spoken so seriously that all Y/n could do until he was gone was nod. Once she was alone, she busted out laughing. Randy could be a lot of things, but at least he was smart enough not to press Y/n for anything without protection.

Y’all I just…

I know Sky is a very sweet and loving character, forgiving of Groose for bullying him (which good for him I could never), helping the people of Skyloft while also being a lovable dork.

But the man legit took on a GOD and holy shit that face when stupid lizard tongue man nabbed Zelda?

Man was out for BLOOD.

Basically, give me Blue Jay Sky.

Give me a sky that is so loving towards the chain, having chats with them and Reader. Helping them out with anything and having nice little cuddle sessions if the weather’s cold.

But give me a Sky that when someone messes with the chain and/or Reader he goes back to being a god killer— give me a Sky that will do anything if it means the safety of those closet to him.

He may be forgiving of what others do to him but so help him if someone tries something with one he cares about.

Give me a Sky that like some others within the chain has had to suffer losing someone and would be damned before he did so again.

Make this man mean, hell, vicious even when someone he cares for is threatened.

And when that threat is gone? Make him Sky again, caring and soft but with that glint still in his eye— that protective one, maybe even territorial; those lingering thoughts that remain of all the ‘what-if’s’ that could potentially take someone away from him.

There is literally no other way to interpret the side by side posters on Jamie's wall, the boy is bi! Roy and Keeley spend literally the whole episode thinking about Jamie, and then the end when they're all sat together? Oh my heart! Also I would love LOVE to know what Roy whispered to Jamie, but the proud looks from both Keeley and Roy at their boy during the match will sustain me for weeks

Like I'm not even kidding in the slightest when I tell you this episode was ot3 made canon for me. I don't even care what happens with the three of them in the finale, this was it. If the finale is bad for them I'm just going to forget it ever happened and pretend this was the final episode, I don't even care!!!

side-by-side posters?????? of ROY AND KEELEY?????? The reveal was glorious. I can't believe I didn't see it coming but when that door swung back, my jaw DROPPED.

Jamie getting injured on the pitch and then the drama of him getting back up and everyone thinking oh it's all right he's okay only for him to FALL AGAIN. And through all of that we got to watch the face journeys play out on both Keeley and Roy??? that was straight out of a million ot3 angst fanfics i was writhing internally

literally just, Roy and Keeley not actually getting back together (without him)...!!! dropping their hands as soon as he came in. Keeley's expression when Roy told her he didn't want to be friends. If you read my long ramble-y Roy/Keeley meta after last week's episode you'll know I've dreamed of times like these anon

something about Roy going to Keeley to ask her to fix Jamie only for her to be like "welp shit I ended up making him worse" was so glorious and funny and perfect even as it was heart-bending. I know we love to talk about Keeley's emotional intelligence compared to her boys, but at the end of the day they are truly 3 idiots 1 braincell. Keeley just gets to hold on to it the most. I love these dorks.

it was deeply vulnerable of jamie to bring Roy and Keeley with him to his house. like we're not talking about that enough, actually. It was clear he'd never brought Keeley there when they dated. Like, they didn't even know he had a Simon. And this was him completely letting them into his world in one swoop. Letting Simon give them a tour of the Jamie shrine unbothered while he cried to his mum. ???????? JAMIE

the final scene where they bring the champagne into the therapy room is everything to me absolutely everything it is the stuff of dreams and I can't believe we got an ot3 scene like that.

I think it's more fun that we don't know what Roy whispered because in our heads we now get to make it whatever we want. Like, okay, it was obviously, "we're fucking tonight," and WE all know that, but the general audience, who is largely blind, can still go on in their own little delusional bubble like "wow isn't it nice that Roy and Jamie are such good friends ! Surely Roy must've told Jamie good game :D" It was such a completely perfect way of doing it. Ted Lasso writers I never once doubted you (i lie)
