Happy St. Valentine’s Day! LOUDsilence[Digital] released WALLS OF GRIEF today, a powerful, diverse, 8+-hour compilation of noise! My track Cling To Anything Cling To Anything is track 6! It’s a HNW remix of Slime City’s You And Everybody That You Love Will One Day Die :P

Initial premise was WALL ONLY [Harsh. Ambient. Noise. Drone. Then Industrial + Power Electronics) up to 10 minutes. Many different imaginations got involved and my enjoyment of a wide range of submissions expanded it to a more dynamic listen after a barrage of HNW opens the show. It is not 'true wall' throughout. Only around half of tracks fit to original intentions. I considered splitting to two releases, but I am super happy with how this variety created a more interesting and contrasting flow. I wonder who will listen to all 8 hours in one sitting. Tell me if you do. It is sequenced to give some unexpected, exciting, energising breaks. Open that mind and let 60 interpretations of 'WALLS OF GRIEF' in. 8 hours 8 minutes total play time.

Some things only sound true because we want them to be. But the feeling that's always been there unravels into quite the revelation and suddenly I wonder why we make lies a source of comfort. "The weather isn't so bad." "It's not a big deal." "I don't mind." "It's okay."

"You are loved."

Is that underlying feeling what made you come undone or is it the way you pretended it was never there? Does the answer to that matter now that there's no pretending? I break anyway. A stranger watched me cry in the rain today. It must've not mattered, cause I let them anyway. Or maybe it was truth whispering

my silence

more often than not, I prefer to be silent. I actually have a lot of things I want to say but it's hard to articulate all the feelings I have into words and it drains me trying to make a point where there's no will from the other side to comprehend my words. I can be full of words, but I still choose silence rather than having too much to say. And even though silence can be interpreted as peace, sometimes in my case — my silence is louder than I can ever be with my words;my silence can have greater depth than words.

Drums in the distance touch you to be admired

Sounds of the world still filter in

I said “Be Quiet”, nothing is what i long to hear

Laughter come forth from this absurd thought

Emptiness truly can’t be sought

Now you notice every little pen drop

Can’t drown out the worlds base drops

Everything makes a sound, the world never quiet, get used to the loud silence all around

The void

When all of the voices have gone quiet

And all of the distractions are spent

When there are no more late nights to stay up for

And all the deadlines have been met.

That's when the void

Speaks louder than the silence

It takes centre stage

To the captive audience

All of that time you tried to drown it out

With the latest u2 album

Or a forgotten book

So it patiently waits it's turn

And now you find yourself in a situation

Where you have no choice but to pay attention

To face all of those truths you tried to hide

And wished that reality would grip them and turn the tide.

For the void if not dealt with tends to grow

And it's from experience that I know

And I have been trying to come to terms with the fact

That if I don't deal with things I won't get my life back.
