i think everyone deserves to see Leonardo Tayao Cruz’s special exhibit of twenty-eight “Noli Me Tangere” paintings. they're amazing, beautiful, show stopping, brilliant, never been done before, ethereal, divine, awesome, have I said beautiful? It really is! Here are some of my favorites:
Sa Asotea (Love on a Balcony)
Kamusmusan (Childhood)
Mga Inu-usig (The Oppressed)
Tinig ng mga Inu-usig (Spokesman of the Oppressed)
Vae Victis (Woe to the Vanquished)
Ikakasal si Maria Clara (A wedding for Maria Clara)
Katapusan (Epilogue)
You can see the rest of the collection here: Link. Margaux Camaya wrote a blog/article about it when she visited National Museum of Fine Arts back in 2018.
I just think it's amazing and we should REALLY promote our Filipino artists more. I love you, Noli Me Tangere 28 paintings by Leonardo Tayao Cruz.

Joon Lee's Artwork
Joon Lee, associated with the Rosenbaum Art Company, or RFA Decor, articulates his artistic motivation as a means of documenting his existence in the 21st century. Beyond mere recording, his creative endeavor aims to substantiate his presence and challenge the societal construct of conventional and abnormal beauty. Lee, driven by a primal instinct to arrange color, rhythm, and form, seeks formal relations that unveil the anomalies within this social construct.
In contrast to art's intellectual analysis, where terms like balance, measure, rhythm, and harmony prevail, Lee paints to translate logical thought into emotion, a sensory experience, and a mood. Rejecting the illusion of function and societal norms that define reality, he contends that art should break free from the constraints that lead to induced anxiety, depression, and unfulfilling lives. For Lee, the essence of truth lies in art's ability to reflect, resonate, and reproduce reality by showcasing imperfections and the dysfunctional nature inherent in the form we call life.
