I've been obsessed with Ken Loach films lately. I saw Cathy Come Home and Looks & Smiles years ago but just recently watched Kes and Poor Cow. I like how he shows people going through hard life situations and often making bad choices, without asking us to either judge or pity them. the doc-style flourishes he sometimes uses are interesting. and in general I just love the visuals.
