I have been meaning to post this because I love it!!!!

Thank you thank you so much to @shibara for making this, I just love them.

Zaiya was working, as she always was. She kept the soldiers in line, she coordinated the operations, she was head of security. She barely slept, there was so much to do with the current mission they had planned. She had the report in hand from the surveillance team to hand to her superior.

It had been too long since she'd had the time to spend with Savage and Feral, though they too had their own assignments.

She made her way to the throne room, data pad in hand behind her back as she took her usual place at the right hand side of the throne. She stood at attention, her face impassive and hands relaxed behind her as she waited.

Maul was lounging on the throne, his attention directed to Almec who was delivering his own report in regard to the running of Sundari.

Constant reports and decisions, that was what the former Sith and Nightsister's life had become. So very different to the dreams they'd had looking up at the stars as children on Dathomir.

Once Almec had finished, he looked to the two of them for their opinions, his eyes flicking between Maul and herself.

"I shall take it into consideration," was all Maul said. He seemed tired. It made Zaiya feel a little guilty that she had to give him yet another report once Almec was done.

"There is a time constraint, my Lord," Almec reminded him. Maul sighed irritably and Zaiya took her moment to speak on his behalf.

"You shall have our answer by the end of the day, Prime Minister," she replied calmly. Almec looked at her, then Maul and nodded again.

"As you wish. Lord Maul, Lady Siren," he said respectfully and turned away.

The door closed and Zaiya felt Maul relax.

"You have the surveillance report on the Drellux Station I assume...?" he asked, looking up at her. She nodded and shifted to face him, gesturing with the data pad.

"Yes, sire, but it can wait."

Maul arched a brow.

"Can it now?" he seemed amused.

"Take a break, sire." Zaiya insisted. The crimson Zabrak stood, a smirk on his lips. What was so funny?

"I see now that my brother was right."

"...In what fashion?" Her pale brows furrowed in confusion. Maul reached out and took the data pad from her, laying it on the arm rest of the throne.

"Savage told me," Maul began, "that you only suggest breaks or respites for others, and never yourself." Zaiya's mouth opened and closed though she didn't know quite what to say.

"I... have a great deal to take care of, the Collective will not run itself and you do not--" Maul held up a hand.

"If my Lieutenant is not at her best..." he grasped her right hand in both of his and began to slide off her glove. She stared down at it. He knew how she felt about her hands. How she preferred gloves for that reason. "...then how can I expect things to run smoothly?"

Zaiya watched as he slipped off her glove and looped an arm around her shoulders. She could feel him toying with her smaller braids with one hand as his other grasped her bare one.

"I... sire...?" Zaiya asked, suddenly she found breathing difficult and her face flushed with heat. She wasn't sure how to respond... that look in his eyes always arrested her thoughts.

"Lieutenant..." he purred in a voice that turned her spine to jelly. "Do I need to order you behave...?" A mischievous smirk crossed his lips as he brought her hand upward.

Zaiya stared at him. Eyes wide as they watched him bring her hand to his lips. He brushed her knuckles with his kiss and held her eyes with his. The Nightsister was frozen in place as though his eyes held her still. She was sure he did this on purpose. He seemed to like the way she got incredibly flustered.

She was the Right Hand to the Mand'alor... a bounty hunter, a Nightsister, a Force wielder -- a fearless warrior. Here she was almost blushing like a little girl.

His smirk grew wider. Oh he was enjoying this.

"Shall we?" he gestured to the side door and picked up the data pad.

"I... yes. Yes, sire, as you wish." She managed and looked away. Maul chuckled and led her by the hand toward the door. Once again, he got his way... though Zaiya found herself smiling.

Perhaps one break wouldn't hurt.

I think his voice would be rather soft but stern? Maybe a bit of an accent, but I don't have a specific one in mind- Medium to deep range, in the middle of those two.
