Many years ago, as a small child...

It was the early evening. Finn was curled on his father's lap, their tails intertwined, staring in fascination as they flipped through an old photo album, and his papa softly explained the memory behind each picture.

It was an activity Finn loved. It was his own story time right before bed, even if there were not many stories to tell, since most of the album was blank.

As his father rumbled about a particularly difficult hunt, Finn blinked at a picture he did not remember seeing before. In the picture was a stranger. A face that was unfamiliar. A mystery.

Long dark green hair bilowed around a dark green face, turquoise eyes crinkled by a large, mischevious grin full of sharp teeth. A cookie cutter shark with dark green scales and tail. Like him.

"Papa, who's that? He looks like me."

Finn pointed at the photo, and his father followed his direction. There was a brief pause, a pregnant silence that was heavy and rather unexpected to Finn.

"That's your dad." His father murmured, tracing his claw along that frozen, smiling face down to the necklace of teeth hung around the mer's neck.

Finn's chubby face twisted into a confused look. "But... but you're my dad."

"He's also your dad." Said his Papa patiently. "We both are."

"Oh." Finn frowned. "Where is he?"

The long stretch of silence, to long to be a pause, that followed made Finn wonder if he had said something wrong. He stared at his Papa's furrowed brows and glinting amthyst eyes, contemplating apologising, when-

"He's not here anymore, Finn." Said his Papa slowly. There was something off in his voice. Something sad. "He... passed away."

"..." Finn stared at the picture in silence for a while. "What was he like?" He blurted, the burning curiosity about this mystery dad keeping him from being quiet, like he probably should've been.

His papa sighed and tilted his head to stare at the bottled bioluminiscent algae that functioned as a lamp. He didn't answer for a long time, contemplating what to say.

"Morrigan... your dad... was warm and funny, and clever. Far too mischevious for his own good. He was always so passionate and full of life, and such a talented sorcerer..."

Finn tilted his head to the side as his father's gaze turned distant, shifting to stare out the window at something that wasn't there and reaching up to touch his necklace of orca teeth.

"...He was a smooth talker and an utterly hopeless romantic. He was so brilliant and powerful. He was so excited to meet you..." He trailed off and went quiet, frowning a bit.

"He sounds nice." Finn said as earnestly as a six year old could manage.

"Hmm." His Papa murmured, looking at him with a half smile. He still sounded so... sad. "That's one way to put it."

'Don't be sad,' Finn wanted to say. But the words didn't come. Instead, he reached out to take his Papa's hand with his own and squeezed it. That half smile brightened a little, and the squeeze was returned, and the tail coiled around his own loosened its hold.

"...Alright, Finn, time for bed now." His Papa rumbled, starting to lead him towards his bedroom. "It's getting late."

"W-wait!" Finn pawed at the purple shark's arm, eyes wide. "I wanna hear more."

Another pause. Much more light than before. Less... downcast.

"I'll tell you all about him tomorrow." His Papa said softly. "Anything you want to know."

Appearance:

Silas has amthyst eyes and long, curly dark purple hair and beard. His skin, scales, and tail are dark purple with peculiar black markings in some places, and his enture body is riddled with scar tissue. His fins are full of holes and tears. His claws are long, sharp, and black. His teeth are long and sharp and scary. He has visible stretch marks, and he's (finally) starting to get a bit chubby.

Obviously, as a mer, he doesn't wear clothes, but he does wear both his and his husband's courting gifts to each other: necklaces of orca teeth and shell, each has a volute and skeletal murex shell respectively. He wears a ribcage around part of his tail as decor. Sometimes he wears his wedding jewellery as well.

Personality:

Silas is a gruff, quiet, and serious man with a bit of a sadistic streak. He does have a general no-nonsense attitude, but he is very warm and loving to Finn (and later on Chrysos) and does his best to raise Finn with the love and support he needs. He wants Finn to make friends and is the one who encouraged him to go to NRC in the first place. He's very protective and is aggressive on rare occasions (unlike when he was younger). He's clever and is prone to sarcastic or dry humour. Don't be fooled, he's quite kind when he wants to be, just few get to see it.

Some Fun Facts/Extra Info:

•Silas supplies Mrs Ashengrotto (and later on Azul) with fish along with other meats for her restaurant

•He has a deal with the tweels' parents in which he disposes of their unwanted "prey" (cough enemies cough) in return for their protection

•He is a very powerful sorcerer that is well versed in Abyssal magic

•He can see Finn's siblings as well and doesn't know what to do about them. He wishes they didn't scare Finn so much

•Azul is quite intimidated by him, lol

•Silas likes the octotrio and considers them a good match for Finn

•He allows older teens looking for extra income to work for him part-time

•He's got a soft spot for kids (teens count as kids too to him)

RUBY  — COURAGE, PASSION ET AMBITION Eloquents et charmants en tout point, les membres de la maison Ruby sont tout particulièrement appréciés pour la tendresse et la bienveillance à toute épreuve dont ils font part. A ceci s'ajoute le courage inébranlable dont ils font preuves dès lors que la situation l'exige. Animés par la passion et le besoin d'exceller dans leur domaine, ils se montrent tout particulièrement talentueux et ambitieux. Ils ne savent que très peu mentir et ont tendance à se laisser aller à leurs émotions les plus profondes qu'ils peinent souvent à camoufler . Mais ceci ne fait pas d’eux des personnes plus faibles que d’autres, au contraire derrière tout ceci se cache en réalité des êtres intelligents, perspicaces, débrouillards et qui n'ont absolument rien à envier aux autres. Méfiez-vous de l’eau qui dort et plus encore du cercle Sapphir, qui comme l’océan réserve bien des surprises.

TOPAZ   — CHARISME LOYAUTE ET EXTRAVAGANCE . Depuis toujours Topaz représente le pouvoir et la richesse, véritable reflet de l'élite de la Dimension Magique, Topaz est un cercle où la simplicité n'a pas sa place. Chics, classes et raffinés ils se dessinent comme l'élite de demain, ceux qui seront dédiés à un grand destin et à de grandes responsabilités. D'apparence inaccessibles, parfois hautains et sectaires, ils tentent tout de même de sauver les apparences par le biais de leur charisme redoutable, mais aussi de la let de l'honneur presque princier dont font part la plupart de leurs membres. Elevés dans la tradition la plus ancestrale possible, les membres du cercle Topaz veillent à la bonne tenue des traditions et par conséquent aujourd'hui encore ils ont énormément de mal à laisser de la place aux spécialistes ... Rares sont donc les spécialistes à rejoindre leur rang, mais non pas impossible.

Ik most won care about this but i need to share this before it leaves my mind :)

Cult of the dragons

The dragons, previously known as Cult of the Geode dragon but i changed it. These cookies pledge their allegiance to the dragons as they believe when they return to take over they will be spared. These cookies do not believe the ancients deserve power nor do they support Dark enchantress basically their mini versions of Snake fruit. In the Universe they are more known dragons and during Pitiayas attack they were helped by Amethyst Dragon. Amthyst has many magical crystals formed into his body, these gems formed with the soulstones and he was killed in a way. However soul formed with these gems and the soulstone creating basically a magic candy but with slightly different abilities. Their soul was transferred into the body of a child. In the current time she is around Cream puffs age and studies at the Institue of Parfadia. However her memory was restored after she found a fragment of the magical dragon gems in Eclairś museum as they were apart of history. 

Amethyst lives with fosters families and move around parfadia alot so one day when getting lost on her way to her new house she hears a cat and goes to find the cat and finds a cult meeting of four members of the cult. The co-leader of the cult, Jack fruit cookie tries to play it off but she slips the truth by mentioning the cult of dragons. Amethyst a former dragons, a vain and selfish one at that is honored that people worship his very existence so he begs to join. Maple bread, another member. Warns Amthyest that as a small child she shouldnt questions things like this and run along. Amethyst laughs and simply asks more not leaving them alone. Agave cookie decides to convince Maple bread and tells her that Amthyest will back out of it once she sees their cult place (Dies of death) Amthyest goes will Maple bread frets that they are basically kidnaping a child but Amtheyst tells them she is a Orphan and it gets quite. One there she is introduced to the leader who is in a cloak. His name is something idk i need ideas. He tells her that Amthyest will have to complete a ritual to prove her loyalty. Maple bread reminds leader man that Amthyest is a small child. Devil Ivy cookie is told to bring a sacrificial knife. Amthyets then stabs herself in the shoulder because bro wants to join a cult worshiping himself or something idk. The leader not caring he just let in a child agrees yet the other four named members are horrified that their leader just let a child stab themselves. They may worships dragons but they have some morals. Devil Ivy and Maple bread walk Amthyest to her new house and they talk. All is well and while Amthyest may appear a young child she has the mind of a adult and quickly win over the four named members and bonds are formed. Devil Ivy is 17 while Amthyest student form is 13 (Cream puff is probably 12-14) So those two usually hang out.

St Pastry order

The Saint Pastry order, Worshipers of the divine. They bring four new characters for us. Yay.  With Pastry cookie after being told to take a mental health break, After the cake tower story events. A new cookie must take over her duties. Puff Pastry cookie volunteers however him volunteering interferes with his jobs as not a knight blessed by the divine but he is a solider in a way but not idk if that makes sense but he is known as brave and blessed by the divine in the way Finiaciar (totally spelt that wrong) and Madeleine are. To not interfere Puff pastry was held back and wasnt able to go to the cake tower, unless he gets someone to cover for him. He gets Blueberry scone cookie, Loyal carefree and helper to Airbishop cookie at the divine sanctum. Puff pastry convinces her to cover in his divine like duties so he can go and fight cakes ig. Once there he is not met with Red velvet or anything like that but instead with a lanky creature who resembles a cookie. Puff pastry confronts the creature and it has Angle wings on their head and radiates divine energy. Puff pastry is taken aback and questions the being to only find out that the thing is a he and is named Angel Fruit cake cookie.(Long name) He is a divine being sent to guide Puff pastry and protect him. After Pastrys and white lilys encounter with dark flour magic Devil, Angel and other divine beings decided enough was enough and sent Angel fruit cake to protect the next inhabitent of the cake tower, regardless if they worshiped the divine or not. Angel cake (Short version lol) had a instant liking to Puff pastry and followed him while he explored the cake tower. Puff pastry was very annoyed and after while was fine with it. When he left Dark enchntresses land Puff pastry noticed Angle cake was gone and he was alone again.

Notes\Extras

Angel Fruit cake can sense evil beings like dragons so if he met Amthyest he could sense her dragons origins.

Angel Fruit cake dosen´t have a natural humanoid form like Angel and Devil. He met Red velvet and he made Angel fruit a humanoid or Cookie form and used cake batter for him, thats why he has cake in his name.

I have two other ocs Pufferfish cookie and Zucini muffin cookie who i want to fit in to this.

Blueberry muffin was originally apart of the cult of the dragon and had romantic relations to the leader but she the devoted herself to the divine. However she is from the republic and simply travled to Parfadia.

All cult members have a scar on their shoulder from the ritual Blueberry muffin included.

Static stops and the screen shows Vio as 2nd Year High Schooler squatting in front of a convenience store, while making some minor adjustments to his motorcycle. Such as tightening the grips and fixing up the seat.

Splatsville's rough aesthetic fits the Purple Octoling... Especially with the torn uniform and bandage wrapped around his upper torso. Fishbone sticking out of the corner of his mouth to finish the look-- Seems like he was done eating lunch for the day, so he was just knawing on it like some animal. That and mom found his box of cigs-- So this was a healthier alternative.

Just as he was about to hop onto his bike-- He was stopped by what seemed to be a rival gang from another school. Neon Green. Team Viridian. An infamous team is known to pickpocket and well.... cheat. But accuse others of cheating.

One of the members grabs Viorel by the collar.

'So yer' Team Amethyst's Violet Storm, huh? All my money is gone because of you!!' 'Yeah, mine too! You were definitely cheatin' that last race!' 'He was definitely addin' illegal mods just now-- Probably for the next race tonight!"

"Moddin' is against the rules of the races-- I didn't do shit to my bike. Ask the organizers and your fault for bettin' your cash away like that..Ugh--!!"

A punch to the face.

'Like hell we're gonna listen to some Rookie tell us off! Let's settle this Splatsville-style! We'll take back our money by knockin' the ink outta ya!'

It knocked Vio's head back-- Causing his fishbone to get knocked out from his teeth.

'Get him!'

Vio gives a little 'tch' noise in annoyance---While he likes breaking the rules, he wouldn't go as far as breaking Team Amthyst's rules, or the racing rules. Fighting was different from racing-- He felt free. Fighting was meant to survive... Racing was for freedom. And that was Team Amethyst's motto.

"If you were smart-- You wouldn't have bet on actual cheaters Team Viridian, ..."

But if a fight is what they wanted, they'll get one.

As another member was gonna throw an attack-- Vio picks up the member who had a hold of him, over his head.

'Huh--!?'

Then he threw them down against the other two who were going to attack him.

"Now, I'll show you fuckers why they call me the Violet Storm!"

The camera pans out to a 1 vs 3 fight between Viorel and the members of Team Viridian. The purple octoling pulls out a bent metal pipe and attacks the rival gang in one swift movement-- Knocking the wind out of all three members. And it's just a montage of Vio beating up the three thieves and getting the money back they stole from other racing teams.

what does silas look like 🥺

I went to a lot of detail about his appearance in this fic here, but I'll just copy-paste the description for you ^^

Silas, on the other hand, was very thin. His skin stretched just a little too taught in some places. His body was littered with scars of various degrees of severity. On his face, his abdomen, his tail, his arms, his neck... even his gills. The long, jagged scar that sliced across the gills on his neck made Azul's own gills itch.

His fins were riddled with holes and tears that hadn't healed properly. It looked painful, and it made Azul wince when he looked at them.

He was purple in hue, and his face, aged and weathered, housed the only thing he had in common with Finn appearance-wise. A pair of bright amthyst eyes that shone like gems in the light of the lanterns.

Azul's gaze eventually drifted to the necklaces that hung around Silas' neck. The teeth that were strung up on them were quite obviously orca teeth. Each necklace had a volute shell and a skeletal murex shell, respectively.

He also has a beautiful fluffy beard and something's ribcage wrapped around part of his tail as like decor, but I forgot that part 😭
