the antiqueer laws in Russia are bad and I do not blame those Russians for having fears about it, and as usual the relationship between a government and it’s civilians are complicated, especially for civilians who are marginalized by said government. It’s not as simple as “no agency and responsibility” nor “completely equal to and responsible for everything the government does” and fundamentally, everyone deserves safety and their human rights to be respected.

That being said, it’s hard to not feel frustrated when people are perfectly willing to acknowledge Russian queers as victims but other Central and Eastern European countries are treated as being like a blackhole of queerphobia that erases the lgbtq community in them. It’s like when Russia is oppressive, the lgbtq community deserves recognition and those in the less homophobic and transphobic countries should be grateful. But when those same countries *are* being queerphobic, then they should be destroyed and the lgbtq people there are treated like a hypothetical. And it’s especially frustrating when people say we can’t aid Ukraine in protecting its civilians from bombs because thebadthings™️, but we can support Russians in spite of their government being one of the largest imperialistic forces in the world right now.

I can’t really blame the Ukrainians who’ve been getting bombed for nearly two years now, and have been at war for nearly a decade with Russia, and who have been dismissed and shat on by the same Russians who are begging for aid now, for being at least a little begrudging about it. Especially when many westerners didn’t give a shit about queer Ukrainians and didn’t want aid sent there because they saw Ukraine as an inherently anti-lgbtq nation.

Man, this site is crazy 🤣. Some people here are just insane. Too many on here try to skewer everything and change it to fit their needs and agendas!

I just saw about yesterday, a once respectable blog about Sam Winchester re blogging a post saying Sam should be bisexual? Why does everyone on here have to bring that stuff into everything? Can't they accept that their favorite character is straight? One hundred percent of the way? So, the natural thing should be demonized, but it's okay to mess everything up just for fanservice?

It's not like it's a sin for a character to have straight as their only sexual orientation. This fad has gone on for too long, and too many people are getting ridiculous on here! And if people don't get into this stuff on here and go against it, there's an uproar and that person is 'homophobic' or 'bigoted' . Thanks for the censorship, I never asked for it.

Just wish I could look at anything Jared or Sam related without idiots pandering to this nonsense.

Also, the same person who made that post about Sam being bisexual also restricted any replies on the post. What does that tell you? Sounds like double think and censorship to me!

To all the Canadians out there in Tumblrland. I hear there are going to be a series of anti-LGBTQ protests across Canada sometime soon. I don't know what to make of this. I can't imagine that most Canadians hate like that. It seems that this is another case of those in the minority opinion making loads of noise. Is this another conservative campaign thing? I know there was an ironic picture very similar to this going around this sight a while ago that got mistaken for being unironic, and this seems to be different(I reverse image searched this to try and make sure I didn’t repeat my mistake from a few posts ago, and I actually found a bunch of really cute similar-looking drawings that were not all about how bad it would be for liberals to get their way, so I recommend doing that. Don’t know who needs to hear this, but no one gets to define what hatred of another group is, but that group.

Again: if a minority says it’s hate? It’s hate. Keep your opinions but know they are based in hatred. You can dress them up real nice and call them something different but at the end of the day, you’re looking for a nice way to hate. It doesn’t make you better than the republican with a tiki torch screaming obscenities, at least they’re honest about it.
