Maturity is realizing that a capitalist "market" economy is actually just a planned economy done by and for the capitalist class.
Businesses don't just let things happen. They calculate, influence and plan in order to maximize profit.

it is not controversial to say that if you cannot finacially, emotionally provide for a child and/or your genetics would lead to them suffering then you should not have said child.

A little birthday gift for myself. A goal of mine for the year is to become more financially literate but how to do that when I resent the need for money? This book was recommended to me. Review incoming as soon as I finish it.

Can’t stand when people go “its just not in the budget” when they’re the ones that wrote the damn budget in the first place. Just say it wasn’t a priority to you. Just say that. Take responsibility.

wowww the blindness to hate on Pen is outrageous . The featheringtones ARE BROKE and about the live on the streets. Their father dies, he left then TWITH NO MONEY to maintaing the house and the life they had. Do i need to remaind you they not even have money to buy new dresseS?? and then the jack thing happened and if any of the daughters have an heir the title and the house ( yeah the one your anon speak about being infront of bridgerton house ) that is for the title.
An outrageous blindness to hate? I don't think so. It is not hate nor blindness to point out the Featheringtons are priviledged, which they are.
They have a title, most likely a family estate (as London, like for the Bridgertons and other aristocratic families, is mostly for the Season and to show off a wealthy life to the others). And they live during that time in Mayfair, they do not live in Gracechurch street. If they were poorer than other families in Mayfair, it's because of the gambling and tricks of Lord Featherington, and because they spent a lot and would not even think of cutting the spending before it was too late.
What perhaps was the issue in s2 after Lord Featherington's death was a possible entail on the estate, in which the male heir could decide the former family in place had to leave, like for the Bennets for example, or the Dashwoods in Austen's works. But they would manage still to be genteel even then, just as the Dashwoods did. Of course, maybe no London season for them, but still they can join the other genteel families in the country and make some matches, which is not an unfortunate fate. They are not to become working classes overnight. I won't pity them for not having new dresses.
I won't talk about Penelope sharing her money because I understand that show Portia would have taken it all and berated Penelope for that. Still, that shows at least she was not desperate enough to think of it.
Most likely, if they hadn't managed as they did in, they would have been in the country, and there is nothing wrong in being a "poor" aristocratic family in the country. They wouldn't have died of using a dress more than once or twice. It's still a much better treatment than working classes. So yeah, to me, there is no need to be overdramatic. There is still genteel life for them outside of London.

Elsie Carson-Holt at LGBTQ Nation:
Arkansas is being sued by transgender, intersex, and non-binary residents over a recent policy change that prevents people from being able to change the gender marker on their driver’s license and eliminates the option “X”, which signifies that the the license-holder is nonbinary.
Residents have been allowed to self-select the gender markers on their licenses since at least 2010, but a new policy changes that. In March, the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration implemented an emergency rule that removed the “X” option and required that people provide an amended birth certificate to change the marker on their license. Amending a birth certificate requires a court order and proof of gender-affirming surgery, making it very difficult for many transgender people to obtain. The suit was filed Tuesday in Pulaski County Circuit Court in Arkansas by the ACLU of Arkansas. The organization says that it wants to stop the enforcement of the new policy and have it overturned, as it does not follow administrative procedures and there is no emergency taking place, despite the fact the ruling is an emergency ruling by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.  In a press release, the ACLU said that “this emergency rule was implemented without any documented justification or compliance with the procedural requirements of the Arkansas Administrative Procedures Act, which stipulates a 30-day public notice and comment period unless there is an ‘imminent peril to public health, safety, or welfare’ or a need to comply with federal law.”
Trans, gender-nonconforming, nonbinary, and intersex Arkansans are suing over the new policy revoking the ability to change the gender marker on their driver’s license and eliminates the option “X” as a gender marker.

One thing is that as I do more therapy and more fully accept that I went through a truly fucking traumatic childhood I only get more passionate about the idea of youth liberation. A lot of people think this is totally kooky, and I know because I have gotten into many arguments about it at this point in my life lol. But I truly think that real liberation would end like 98% of childhood abuse. Our culture of allowing parents near total control over their child's life until the day they turn 18 practically sets parents up to traumatize their children. Like if we adopted the mindset that children are primarily People who just have significantly less life experience than the average and therefore need extra help, compassion, & protection - wouldn't you think children would have a much better experience of the world? Instead of publicly regarding then as trophies, pets, nuisances, or scapegoats depending on their age and disposition. Surely you remember how that felt, being treated like an object by most adults for nearly two decades! Do you really think it was right for you to feel that way? We can end this madness. But it starts with accepting that children are a socially oppressed class.

okay let me tell y'all something: i can not give disney the credit for tanthamore. i just can't. y'know why? we have tons of stories about how this company (and others) have made so difficult for creators to put diversity on their shows, they have cancelled and shortened shows; so i can't give >disney< the credit. the credit goes to the team working on Willow, and more specifically the ppl who had that idea and fought for it (idk names but i wish i knew)
like i understand but i can't go "oh thank you [insert company name]" after seeing employees telling how hard it was to maintain this and that. and especially since some companies still don't put the same effort on marketing good content just bc it has queer ppl and/or poc.
the same goes to netflix; if we have a sapphic show/couple i can't go "oh thanks Netflix" when we didn't had the proper marketing or the proper investment and on top of that the company goes and cancel the show after 1 season.
all i know is that if we have something it was ppl in the team fighting like hell to keep every single thing that rejoices us, gives us a bit more of representativeness and comfort. those companies did nothing. i give no credit to them.

The Skibidi Toilet School of Economics.
It’s like trickle down economics, but even WORSE!
Hyper neoliberalism!
Followed by an Uberinflation death spiral!
And they’ll still blame it on socialism!
Because they’re STUPID!
It’s basically capitalism
