Okay, but little vampire!Bruce, who saw his parents get brutally killed by humans, and religion and torches. Who, terrified, decides to retire from society to this old mansion with his butler, and for years he trains to be stronger and prepared in case he is attacked again, and generaly distrust and hates humans.

Vampire Bruce who years later still adopts little vampire!Dick and Jason who had also been abused by humans, and are on the verge of death. Who teaches them how cruel and evil human can be, how they can never trust them, and how to defend themselves.

And then, one day, little Dick mets Clark, the farmboy on the nearby mountain.

At first it's just curiosity. Dick sneaks out to assess the enemy, but Clarks keeps doing interesting thing and Dicks is a noisy boy. Eventually Clark finds about the little gremlin spying on him, and thinking he is just some boy from the village, he decides to gain his trust with treats, and by letting him pet Krypto. Dick is still distrusting thanks to his past and Bruce teachings, but eventually, they warm up to one another.

The problem is that Dick keeps sneaking out more and more, and eventually Bruce follow him and finds out what he has his son so fascinated. Hell breaks lose when he finds out. Dick is grounded for the rest of eternity, and Bruce goes on overprotective mode for several weeks, screaming at them, and watching over them, and even little Jason starts to get terrified.

Dick however doesn't give up, he likes Clark and keeps on defending the guy and throwing tantrums so he can go see him again. The drama escalates to the point that Bruce decides to pay a visit to the human to prove a point to Dick.

A day latter he sneaks upon Clark in full vampire regalia. He is coming out of shadows, his eyes are glowing red, he is prowling menacing towards him, and his expresión is terrifying. A nightmare come alive to prove a point.

And of course the farmboy screams terrified at his aparition, and punches him right in his face.

I saw something similar to this happening in two of my favorites stories and I was like fuck off, I'll write about it!!

I enjoyed writing this SO MUCH!!! I hope you enjoy reading it too ❤️

One day an interesting aparition started to wander around the school, no one really knows from where it came from or how long it has been here, not even the supernaturals knows about it, even the leader of the seven misteries were surprised the first time he saw you

Hanako, as the leader of the seven, has to make sure you wouldn't be here to cause problems to humans or supernaturals, so when he finally noticed you he started making his research, aproaching you in hopes to solve this peacefuly (and dragging Yashiro and Kou with him). Words more or words less, Hanako was very clear with his intention to know you better, mainly your name and your reason to be there, however he encounter a problem that he would never guess it could happen, you cannot answer his question because you don't know the answer

All of them were surprised by your answer but tried to help you remeber, is normal to ghosts to don't remember about their previous life as humans so they just assumed it was that (or wanted to believe that it was that), is more likely that they end up dragging you around the school in hopes that something, anything could bring you memories (honestly, it was more Kou and Yashiro's idea), they drag you all around the school, the classrooms, the clubs, even where the borders are but nothing was of use, you couldn't remeber anything, you couldn't even remember your name

The whole situation was not only weird but also suspicious, deciding to move forward more cautiously all of them (mostly by Hanako's hand) started to drag you with the supernaturals in hopes that they could be of help, even just an advice could be of use. When the options began to run out they opted to even try to search for your book with Tsuchigomori, but it was usless since you don't know your name; as last resource they visited the first mistery, asking their help in an attempt to know more about your past, but they couldn't help neither because you don't have a past

In a attempt to be able to solve the confusing puzzle you are, Kou had even resorted to ask Teru for his help, making him promise that he won't get violent with you (or Hanako) right away before even letting him meet you, Teru accepted only because his brother asked him and for how he talked about you he actually wanted to know you (because he wanted to make sure you weren't just hiding your intentions and be a threaten), but the moment Teru finally met you he was completely taken aback, he take a full moment to watch you closely, trying to comprehend you, but at the end his conclusion wasn't better than from the others, according with Teru you shouldn't be even here, you weren't human but you weren't a supernatural neither, you simply aren't anything, even when they can see you, talk to you and even touch you you just don't exist

No matter what they do to try to help you or find out more about you, the more they try the more strange the situation turns to be, they can't help to feel completely worry about you, specially when you don't seem too bothered by it, yes, you may be surprised by everything and worried at first but no matter what else you find out there is always the feeling inside of you that tells you that it is okay, you don't have to afraid since this is the way it should be

At some point, and thanks to their help, you did finally was able to understand that you being here was an error, some time ago you had given up to not only your life but your complete existance, you had been completely erradicated from the world for a greatest good, something that, in your eyes, was totally worthy of the sacrifice you were doing and you don't feel any kind of regret about your decision, even if at this point you don't remember anything about it and you know you shouldn't even be there you were at peace about it

Hanako was completely confused, he didn't undestand at all, Yashiro were terrified by the posibility of you don't existing and even being an error your presence, and Kou couldn't just bring himself to even accept that fact, it was too much to process for the poor guys, and yet seeing you take this situation so naturally was even more confusing. They couldn't just undestand nor accept the fact that you shouldn't exist

How could you say that you don't exist or shouldn't be here when they can see you and touch you? You had even became their friend! All this time that all of you were trying to trying to find answers you had share a lot, you were having fun, getting all confused and worried together, and all of that wasn't a lie, you did laugh and worry with them, you talked and shared a lot with them, you can't just came and say that you shouldn't be here now

By trying to help you (and probably try to cope with the shock) Yashiro bring out the thought that since you are here then you exist! even if the world refused to aknowledge you they can see you and that is more than enough for them to know that you exist, so with that it mind Yashiro, followed by Kou and Hanako, were now determinated to give you a new life, to aknowledge your existance, and the first step to do that was giving you a name

Coming to the Borderlands with your dear murder friend was both a blessing and a nightmare.

Blessing because Banda could win any game by pretending to be weak, by reading people so quickly, and sometimes by putting you as the center of attention so he could end stabbing everyone.

For Banda this was paradise. Killing was his joy and now he had a reason to do it. To keep himself alive enjoying this and to keep you alive.

You, his dear friend, his everything.

You could not help but feel happy seeing Banda this way. You two knew each other since kids, Banda was alwyas strange, not caring about what most kids would care. Yet he defended you once from some bullies and since then you two started to be Friends.

He also taught you how to use a knife just in case.

Did you know about his crimes? Yes you did. You alwyas knew a day like that would come, for him to kill people. But he always kept you safe. He did discover how your boss was molesting you and ended killing him and making it look like an accident.

Banda was your evil protector.

When the second fase started you scoffed to Banda as he lead the way towards a prision. He gave you a funny look but said nothing, taking your hand as both of you went to the stairs.

Once you two arrived you took notice of people looking at your hands so you let him go. He putted at you, his innocent act starting.

You took notice of a handsome guy, he was tall, dark hair, black eyes, clean (how was he so clean?) His suit was perfect. He caught you looking at him and smirked at you.

Banda took notice of it, feeling jealousy he pulled along, so you two could prepare for the game.

"Try to keep your mind focus and not thinking on what to do In these cells" Banda told you taking a Seat on the floor and patting the space alongside him.

You sat, now looking at him with a fun smile.

"Dont tell me you are jealous?"

Banda did not reply and you took that as the end of your conversation.

One more person entered the game arena, you could tell he was Smart and could easily survive, you also took notice on how he kept eye contact with Banda.

"So now should I be jealous?" You teasted him but he just brushed you off.

After the rules were explained you knew things would end in pure disaster. You just wished it will take some time, all of you got food, water, bathrooms, hell you could stay here for a week at least.

Banda left you, you knew it was for the best at the very moment. If you did not trust another then you could just go to Banda.

Not a moment later the good looking Man got close to you.

"Would you mind telling me my symbol?" He asked, his tone resembling Bandas. It told you, he was dangerous.

"You want to trust me?" You asked a bit playfull

The Man smirked, "your boyfriend seems like he is not too happy right now, who knows when and how a relationship could end"

It took you a moment to understand that he was talking about Banda. You blushed a bit but ignored it.

"He is too soft, he cant take a joke" you simple said, deciding to follow this man idea. "Turns around" the Man turned, you moved his hair a bit "diamond".

"Thanks, now just let me" he took you and turned you around, he told you your own symbol and leaned in you for a bit.

"Lets be partners" the Man said offering you his hand.

"If we survive this round then yeah" you smiled taking his hand and shaking it.

The first round passed and both you and Banda survived. You decided to take the Man as your partner but also meet Banda to talk and be safe.

"So, you picked that old Man?" Banda took some water while you ate a snack.

"You are with emo boy, dont come at me about my partner" you said joking. "Here tell me my symbol"

"Why? You dont trust him?" Banda did not move and you rolled your eyes.

"Its a test, I need to see how trustfull he is, I will tell you yours"

Banda nodded, he moved your hair, "heart", he then turned to you "spades". Banda let out a laught, "so he did not lie"

"Maybe you can trust emos"

No you cant Banda tought to himself.

As rounds passed your partner became more Open and offered you to do something in one of the cells.

You were not against the idea, but Banda had other plans, dragging you out before you could even said something back.

"Let me fuck Banda, I know you masturbate after games but not all of us are that sick" you said to him now a bit angry.

Banda just moved his head from side to side, you were still that little girl who became angry when he did not give you your favorite toy.

"If you do, then you will start to listen to him. I have been watching him, he is playing you like a highschooler".

"Well I know that" you took a deep breath to calm yourself "does not matter, with your little show now people will think we are dating"

"Are we not?" Banda asked you, getting close till your back was against the wall. His breath touched your face and his hands found themfselfs on your hips.

"Wait...are we dating?" You mind went off feeling his lips on your neck. You did not resist, letting him kiss you.

"Everybody thinks so, I would very much like to make it official and real" Banda said, looking directly into your eyes.

"Ah, of course my boyfriend would be my best friend and a murder" you kissed him, not caring if someone passed by both of you.

"Lets do it, lets end this game and fuck in a cell" you parted from him smirking.

One thing you were? Loyal. The Man who partnered with you survived till the end and was not suprised when Banda pulled a knife at him just in case. But you insisted in letting him go.

You went to one cell, listening to the Jack of hearts screams. Once it was over Banda appeared at the door.

So, there are party foxgirls that become girls by sleeping with men and absorbing their essence, but there are also nerdy foxgirls who became girls by studying?

Both, kinda! Some legends have them as cruel spirits who decieve men, others as characters of folk romances where they help people, including, funnily enough from my perspective, helping students on their exams. It's actually a very interesting subject.

There are also very popular "fox religions" in China (one thing to understand about China is that, even if a large part of the population considers themselves 'non-religious' as in literally not belonging to an officially recognized, organized religion, they still practice very complex spiritual beliefs that are religions in all but name)

Now, I'm FAR from an understander of Chinese mythology, but from what I can gather, the background is something like this: animal and fox spirits have been common in the Chinese cultural sphere for an inmeasurable time, much like in many other cultures. There are many legends of foxes or other animals "ascending" to human-like forms through what is very roughly known as "cultivation" (a term I'm still not entirely familiar with), much like humans can also ascend to inmortality (in a spiritual and literal sense) through "cultivation", these animals also can become humans and then immortals. In Buddhism, however, it is (usually) considered that only humans can ascend to enlightment, you can't "skip steps", and such beings are considered something of a perversion, and as such, cults to these beings were supressed (this is actually registered historically). Some schools of Taoism also considers that such strange aparitions, beings, monsters, what enters into the wider category of "Yaoguai", also occur when there are disbalances on the Tao.

This does not mean at all that these beings (roughly speaking, Yaoguai) are all evil, far from it, many, as you can read, are revered and considered auspicious and beneficial, it seems to very much depend on the context, and there seem to be many categorizations I'm just learning about. It's honestly fascinating.

Amon Garam is underrated tbh

(Warning: Spoilers for Yugioh GX)

When talking about GX characters I feel like a lot of people overlook Amon Garam/Adrian Gecko. He is probably one of my favorite characters.

Look, I get it, he's a piece of crap and deserved to be wiped out by Yubel/Johan. But I like what he represents in the story and how different he is from the rest of the main cast.

He's introduced as a jovial and sort of eccentric ace duelist in S3. Like a personal rival to Manjoume/Chazz, same background (rich boy) but somewhat...better (less impulsive, more clever, overall better duelist) which is exposed on their sky duel.

And then he starts to change and become colder, more ruthless, smug and manipulative as S3 goes on, especially after partnering with Yubel. He sacrifices the woman he loves in order to attain Exodia's power without any second thoughts and he really seems to embrace his new role as King.

The scene where he's riding Exodia and refuses to finish the recently de-SKized Judai/Jaden is quite telling. He's drunk on power. He gambled and got a hell of a pay. And unlike Judai, who became SK after a hell of a traumatic event or Saio/Sartotius who was possesed by the Light of Destruction, Amon did it all consciously and out of his own will. No demonic possession, no LoD, no ancient millenary item possesion, nothing. Just an extremely ambitious bastard. In a way, he reminds me of Seto Kaiba in the early Yugioh manga chapters, before he got Mind Crushed by Yami.

Eventually, Yubel possessing Johan snaps him back to reality by kicking his ass and wiping him out. Right before dying he 1) reveals that actually he wanted to become King to the typical "making the world a better place" shtick and 2) shows regret for killing Echo.

While number 1 seems to come out of nowhere and feels like a lame attempt to somewhat redeem him, I think it makes him even more tragic. I think of Amon and he reminds me of complex antihero "ends justify the means" characters like Canute from Vinland Saga and Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass.

(YES I just compared Yugioh with Vinland and Geass)

I feel like, if Yugioh broadened its scope to maybe a more mature setting, characters like Amon could probably be rewritten in a more neutral or even sympathetic light. And yet, because GX is deeply inside a shonen anime focused on promoting a card game, such risks couldn't be taken.

And don't get me wrong, I think Amon was very well handed. He feels like an inverse of Axel O'Brien. While Axel starts as a stoic, cold and aloof duelist loyal to the shady Professor Cobra, Amon gets introduced as a charming and skilled guy who seems to oppose Cobra's schemes (after all, that means he's a good guy, right?) And yet, Axel ends up warming up to the main cast and even being (along with Jim) the one who saves Judai, while Amon ends up going the dark route. The fact they both come from Academies located on opposite cardinal points (Amon from east, Axel from west) might not be a mere coincidence.

To top it off, I just love how Amon and Axel end up in such different spots at the series finale.

Axel? With the main cast, being one more of them, eating, drinking, cracking a few jokes, enjoying their company. He's part of the gang despite arriving later. Like Johan (and my boy Jim)

Amon? Who the hell knows. And who the hell cares. Dead. Forgotten. Vanished into nothing. Sentenced to life in the Shadow Realm. And the best part is that, aside from his aparition on the "missing student cards" on S3 ending, nobody brings him up at all. They dislike him so much that for what they know he may be being devored by harpies or tortured in some dungeon in the Dark World, it's all the same for the gang. They have better things to think about than some power drunk greedy ambitious asshole who killed the woman he loved for nothing.

Axel won friends, which is why he was given a second chance in S4. Amon lost it all, which is why he's one of the few GX characaters that died permanently. Maybe it was Shin Yoshida's intention to send a message in favor of personal bonds and connections. Maybe he forgot about Amon.

But no matter what, Amon is probably one of the GX characters that caught my attention the most.
