Just to make a point, every time I finished a panel of this I would export it as a PNG on the perceptual setting and use it as a color reference for the next panel
IT'S BAD
PLEASE CHECK YOUR COLOR SETTINGS
EDIT: If you're still having problems, it might help to switch from "Save/Save as" to "Export (as a) Single Layer". Just. Make SURE the box labeled "Expression Color" is set to RGB. I've been messing with this all day, and it looks like this combination of settings will allow exported PNGs to maintain their colors perfectly. To you. So far both Discord and Toyhouse still only display desaturated images and I cannot for the life of me figure out why

PSA to artists on DeviantArt
DeviantArt announced their own AI model that is to be trained on artworks ALREADY uploaded to the platform and apparently the option to opt out of having your artworks used in training. You are opted in by default, and have to go in and opt out each artwork, one by one.
I'd recommend opting-out with all your artworks ASAP if you don't want to contribute and letting DeviantArt know you're not happy with their decision. You can read more here! In case you are unfamiliar with this topic or unsure of your stance, I'd recommend this video. EDIT: I'm making updates as they come in. I'm listening to their Spaces on their Twitter and they already seem to be fumbling under pressure.
UPDATE: Apparently it can't be opt-in by default because the only thing giving this meaning is you having to consciously say you don't want to be included. It's bullshit.

Uncredited reposts are harmful to artists!
I can't help but see a dangerous connection between posting uncredited artwork and the rise of artificial created images.
For years now uncredited reposts have detached artists from their own work! Uncredited reposts have helped to create the idea that specific pieces and work belong to everyone. That there are no rights attached. They have helped making art big and popular without people knowing who drew it! People see all art as far game and something they can just use. Art detached from the artist! It's dangerous and harmful to artists!
Don't repost art!! Don't repost without credit!! It is not yours to take!!

PSA: Do NOT buy anything from ArtWisher! Watermark your art!
Notice: Before you reblog, please check the original post to see if there's any updates.
The site ArtWisher is full of stolen artwork (and random shit like tiktok screenshots). Don't purchase anything from this site because none of the money is going to the artists.
If you're an artist, even a small one, make sure you're watermarking your stuff. Please try your best to keep the same or similar username across all platforms so people can warn you if they find stuff like this. This also applies to photos and scans of traditional work as I saw that on there too.
I found my own artwork on there without my consent being pulled from the following places:
Pixilart
ToyHouse
TikTok (via screenshots)
Redbubble (via product mock up images)
These others sites also have stuff being pulled from them (that I know of):
Youtube (via thumbnails)
Tumblr
DeviantArt
Places that are likely being pulled from but I'm not sure:
ArtFight
Instagram
ArtStation
Twitter
Below the cut are some screenshots of my stuff being stolen for profit without consent:
Tumblr media
This image is a screenshot from my art TikTok account.

These are things from my Pixilart account from YEARS ago.
Tumblr media
A youtube thumbnail that's not mine (the video is from a music playlist I made public on my channel), A drawing that was pulled from ToyHouse before I was using a watermark on it, and a color reference I made that is on ToyHouse.

The "NSFW = Easy Mode" Post
Tumblr media
We all know this post. We all know this complaint. NSFW artists have faced it the entire time we've spent drawing.
Aside from being hugely denigrating towards a very legitimate craft, there are multiple fallacies involved in the argument.
Let's start off with the most obvious, the very real phenomena of getting visible traction on social media sites. Namely, to say that, LIKES/RTS DO NOT TRANSLATE TO FINANCIAL STABILITY. Working your ass off does. NSFW artists who make it their livelihood churn out an absurd amount of work to stay relevant, constantly have to work outside of comfort zones, and face steep competition.
Next, the argument presumes that all NSFW is created equal. It's not. For example: mlm, that is to say, men loving men, will earn you much more traction than wlw, women loving women, and mlm involving trans bodies will earn you much less traction than the cis standard. Additionally, your audience for any of those things is NEVER guaranteed.
It places porn an erotica on the same footing, which is also enormously wrongheaded. Porn has an almost singular focus on secondary sex characteristics, and will rush straight to the point at every given opportunity; erotica is holistic, and doesn't even really have to show genitalia in order to hit its mark, if it's written and framed correctly.
To be clear: both of these things take an enormous amount of skill. It is not something you just learn to do overnight. Good, illustrated porn requires an understanding of action, anatomy, perspective, and all sorts of other technical skills that are often beyond even very adept artists.
With erotica, technical prowess is less of a focus. It's more on character art, scene setting, and story (be it implied by imagery or written in). I don't need to explain the level of expertise this requires, not the least of which is being a good writer, which is fully beyond a lot of peoples' grasp. It's a whole different skill, and being good at erotica is tough for even industry professionals. Many are embarrassingly bad at it.
The other bullet points, I outlined in a Twitter rant, but here they are:
NSFW artists face logistical hurdles SFW artists don't. Namely: we don't know when the site we're posting on will ban NSFW content.
We can be randomly banned/shadowbanned from a site whose rules are not especially clear (Tumblr), and whose filters are garbage. We can also have our work deboosted and effectively removed from circulation because we didn't label a nipple appropriately (Tumblr still thinks a female-presenting nipple is 100% sexual).
We can have our funding cut at random, for seemingly arbitrary reasons.
We face a host of degrading comments and overfamiliar clients.
NSFW artists working commissions have to take on work they're not personally very interested in. This takes way more work and fortitude than anyone is willing to admit. If you're commissioned for a fetish you don't like, you still have to make it look hot for the person who commissioned you. If you don't think that takes extra effort, IDK what to tell you.
We are constantly subjected to arrogant shitbags saying they can just jump in and make bank, because Site Number Went Up that one time.
Bottom line is the 'I should just do furry porn I guess' joke is not a joke. It's not funny. It's just you showing your ass, and insulting your friends/colleagues, who do very hard work for very little reward.

PSAs for drawing canes
this is untargeted but i see these mistakes a lot in art so:
WALKING CANES also called SUPPORT CANES or WALKING STICKS are used for support while walking and standing, often best if weakness or an injury is worse on one side. you hold a walking cane in the OPPOSITE HAND of the worse leg. if your right leg is worse you use your cane in your left hand, and vice versa DR. HOUSE USES HIS CANE INCORRECTLY. walking canes should come UP TO YOUR WRIST WHEN YOU ARE STANDING WITH YOUR ARMS RELAXED AT YOUR SIDES. any taller and it becomes awkward to use for support, any shorter and you'll fuck up your back using it.
WHITE CANES also called GUIDE CANES or BLIND CANES are used by the blind and visually impaired to help them navigate. white canes should come UP TO ABOUT YOUR STERNUM WHEN HELD STRAIGHT UP. the coloring on a white cane can also tell you about the person using it, an ENTIRELY WHITE CANE means the person has no useable sight or is completely blind, a cane with a RED SECTION AT THE BOTTOM means the person has some usable sight, and a RED AND WHITE STRIPED CANE means the person is also deaf or hard of hearing. there are also different types of tips for white canes, and just a few minutes of research into the different types would not be misplaced, as they have very different uses.
WHITE WALKING CANES are used by someone who is blind or visually impaired who also needs the support of a walking cane, these LOOK LIKE WALKING CANES AND ARE MEASURED AS SUCH but are usually white and red to flag to others that the person using it is blind or visually impaired in some way.
this has been a friendly PSA by your local walking cane user who is tired of seeing these mistakes :) if you have further questions on the differences my ask box is open, and i don't mind helping anyone who needs it.

In case anyone else struggles with this:
You don't have to attach a disclaimer that your art is imperfect to every piece you make. You're allowed to like something you made and say that you're proud of it without having to acknowledge that weird perspective or messed up hand. It's not dishonest to say that your art is good while it has mistakes. You don't have to list every mistake you made to be allowed to say that you like the piece 'despite' them. It's not your job to inform people of everything that's wrong, just in case that they would 'mistakenly' like your art otherwise
Mistakes and good art aren't mutually exclusive, you're not a liar for liking your art that is imperfect

An open letter to the artist community (from a disabled artist)
I’m not really someone who likes making PSA type posts, as I like to keep my existence mainly quiet but with some consideration I’d like to cast my stone in the water today to talk about the entitlement of able bodied artists towards disabled folk.
I want to express foremost that I AM disabled, I AM an artist. I’ve been doing art since I was 9, and have been taking it as a serious career possibility since I was 10. I’ve been doing this for a long time, and while I might not be in the same business as many other artists, I absolutely get the right to talk about our own community.
I’ve gotten into the ID scene more recently than I’ve been an artist. I am not a perfect product of IDers, but I am someone I consider knowledgeable on the subject and want to share part of my insight for other artists, young and old.
What are IDs?
IDs, or image descriptions, are text additions onto a post that describe what is going on in the image or video. These IDs are here so people who have visual impairments, who cannot see the image, or otherwise do not understand what is going on can gain access to the post and understand what is going on.
IDs ARE necessary, because not everyone on the internet is able bodied, and disabled people shouldn’t be excluded from enjoying the posts or art we enjoy. If you think disabled people don’t belong on the internet, or that adding IDs are a waste of time, or make a post look ‘ugly’, you are ableist.
They are valuable tools that disabled people need, and as a community we should all work towards adding more IDs to our posts, or reblogging posts with IDs in the notes. Many of us are not asking you not to post ever unless a post has an ID, and we’re not asking everyone to start adding identifications (though it would be deeply appreciated!), we’re asking you to be more conscious of these usual tools so that other parts of the community who are otherwise excluded from your normal posts, can be included!
Art entitlement
Okay, great! Cool! We know what an ID is, and why they’re important, but what’s the tie into art? Very glad you asked! You see, most art is a visual medium that has traditionally been only accessible to those who can see it. Thanks to the internet, art has become a more widespread medium that anyone can enjoy!
That’s why, in more recent years, accessibility blogs have been reblogging art with image descriptions so that those who might not be able to access art in its image form, can still enjoy what an artist is trying to communicate with visuals.
IDs on art can be VERY helpful tools, especially for people who might consume similar content to you, but can’t always enjoy the exact same content as you due to outside factors.
It’s why, as an artist, you should be conscious about posting art, or reblogging others' art.
Now, like above I am NOT saying you cannot post art ever unless you have an image ID. However I am saying that when you believe in full truth, that you as an artist are entitled to being reblogged for your time and effort, you are disrespecting several ideas.
You are disrespecting the idea that people OWE you something, when they don’t. As artists we often need as much attention as we can get on our art if we want to make big money off our work. However, as artists we are also often freelance.
We have no employers besides ourselves, and our occasional clients. When we offer our work to others, our clients do not owe us to accept our services. They are entitled to say no. It’s the same in reblogs.
You are offering your service (art), and if a client for whatever reason doesn’t want to reblog your art. They don’t have to. You are not entitled to telling people what they do with their own autonomy.
Additionally, when you are not providing accessibility to your art & are demanding/begging for people to reblog your art over liking it, you are digging your own grave here.
No one OWES you that reblog, but when you are purposefully excluding an entire community from your post, you are making it harder for people who DO want to reblog your post.
As someone who is disabled, I have very limited spoons. I take it out of my day to go online, and spend 5-20 minutes writing up an image description for posts I want to reblog. I cannot work endlessly reblogging posts with my own image IDs, but in most cases I have to make my own IDs because no one else has.
Not every artist is able bodied, but a large majority of you are. It often takes much less effort and energy than it does for someone like me, or my friends, to make a short image description.
If you are unwilling to do that bare minimum, or are unable to at that moment, you do not get to feel entitled to people reblogging your work. You do not get to shame your other community members, or your clients, for not reblogging your work ever. Period.
I am tired of having to hear people complain over and over again, shaming their fellow artists for being the ‘weak backbone’ of their community for not reblogging each other's art. I am tired, I am disabled and I’m an artist: and I need you all to give a damn about adding image descriptions to your art/reblogging posts of art with image Ids.

I hate to be the one who hops onto this topic but as an artist I can ignore it no longer. As of today I just made the unfortunate discovery that the individual named @/Ugigiugi has been tracing/stealing works from artists to recolour as her own with her OC “Julia”. Their behaviour also stretches into much worse as well, things I rather not speak of on this blog- this safe space.
As an artist, this is deeply saddening to see. Ugigiugi, I understand wanting inspiration for your works but completely stealing one’s hard effort for your own personal use is unacceptable, mate. I believe you have talent somewhere deep within, if you see this I hope you take some time to reflect and learn from your many, many mistakes.
In the end, I ask that no one openly attacks and harasses this individual, I hope that they learn what they did was wrong and cease this behaviour at once.

Friendly reminder~!
Hey, so for anyone who uses an autotagger(new user, AND old users); be mindful that you aren’t copying the artists exact tags, esp for oc or original content! Alot of artists make specific tags for their art/ocs/original content on their blog for organizational reasons (as well as just speaking their thoughts in the tags), and the auto tagger will grab ALL of these.
This can make it confusing for the people reblogging from you. Its not a well known or noticed thing so I know most of the time its not anyone doing it on purpose, but here’s your friendly reminder to keep an eye out for it so you don’t get confused as the op!

Friendly PSA
If you draw gore, horror, nudity- I stan you 100%, you're doing great sweetie, love to see it.
THAT BEING SAID
Please tag it accordingly. There are people in my life I care about and people on the internet I have never even met who are deeply, emotionally affected by things that you as an artist might not be. I'm not saying you shouldn't draw what you enjoy, or even that you shouldn't post it. Self expression is a wonderful thing. Tagging is also a wonderful thing. I know not all blogs use a tagging system, but you as an artist and an original content creator can. You have the power to drastically change someones day- for the better. I hope you do~
Sincerely, One Artist To Another~ <333

Cool, DA, Cool
i basically never offer opinions here but i’m still side-eyeing DA HARD with this walk-back. feel like if they were really dedicated to the whole “artist consent” thing, they wouldn’t have used Stable Diffusion/LAION dataset for their DreamUp AI, which has already scraped from all over the place (including DA) without artist consent a long time ago. like, congrats, you flagged my stuff with a cardboard sign that says “lol AI scrapers stay out, pls <3″ while simultaneously using a dataset that has already pulled all those images. i don’t even hate AI art in theory, but ffs the datasets have to be sourced ethically before i’ll give it any real attention.
definitely deleted everything and deactivated. i know that nowhere else online is any safer, but at least they’re not trying to sell me on how virtuous they are while doing the same damn thing as every other AI art generator.
is2g tumblr is never going to stop being my original love/hate hellsite, i just keep having to come back here. guess i’ll never leave this awful, wonderful place.
