Right now I’m reading about art journaling/junk journaling (the precursor to actually DOING art journaling/junk journaling, of course 😜), and this quote from “Creative Wanderlust” (Kasia Avery @kasiaavery) really jumped out at me. As a Zentangle artist I (and maybe you too?) can sometimes get a little too “precious” about my work and need to remind myself that it’s only paper. No one is going to die if I put the ink down in the “wrong” place - and sometimes, something that seems like a mistake at first actually turns into something I never would have thought to do, but can appreciate (and maybe even love)! On Friday we watched Enola Holmes. A Netflix movie about Sherlocks younger sister. Set at the turn of the last century when the suffragettes and the reform bill were front and centre. Two pictures! Where I started and where I currently am. One is in Verona at the Fine Art Academy and the other is in New York City. I am very happy to announce that I published my first book. After these two years of work, I went through different stages and this is my attempt to document my work. Each collection is a unique theme and tackles different topics.
