So the Baratheons have heavier fabrics since having lightweight fabrics would be very impractical with the stormy weather at Storms End, it’s hard to tell but the dresses are supposed to be ankle length as opposed to full length or dragging since the ground would be quite wet. I based the sillohette of the dresses of of traditional Turkish, Greek, and Hungarian dresses. They have heavily embroidered trims and employ use of gold and brass clasps and decorations. And obviously so. many. deer.

She's finally finished!!! QITN Sansa Stark from my fic 'Winter's Child'. PLEASE full view- there are so many details on this thing. I drew all the patterns by hand, drew SO much ice, and spent like, three whole days designing the throne.
Is she too detailed? Probably. But I was having fun drawing 8 million different kinds of ice/frost and learning how to use procreate. Whether Sansa painstakingly embroiders ice motifs on her clothing or just magics up frost to decorate her sleeves in painstaking detail is up to interpretation. She's SUPER ice queen here to show the northern lords and any pesky invaders that she's every inch a Stark and that she Means Business.
Bonus: Throne Details! They get kind of covered up by the frost and her robes, but I spent so much time designing her throne and I'm wildly happy with how it came out, so have some close-ups!

The top part I wanted to have the wolves on either side fading into weirwood leaves and vines (which was harder than it sounds), and her armrests have a stylized weirwood tree carved into them. There was going to be a tiny raven sitting on the tree in that space between branches, but I've gotta sleep at some point, tbh. Took forever, but was totally worth it- I love how both designs came out, and I think her throne is my favorite thing about the entire drawing.

I'm glad lots of you liked the lilac dress! The design is a reference to a dress of Medea Colleoni, illegitimate daughter of Bartolomeo Colleoni.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The girl died very young and was buried in this dress, the original one was of red and gold brocade.
Tumblr media
The statue representing the favorite daughter comes from the funeral monument inside the Colleoni chapel in Bergamo, next to her father's monument.

One thing I'll never forgive the got costuming design department is that Vale is peak medieval burgundian fashion coded (in my mind). I'm speaking fancy headdresses, head scarves, veiles! Fur trimmed dresses in bold colours and with dropping sleeves! Men in tights! Vale-wide fights about how short a gentleman's upper garment is allowed to be before... too much is exposed.
And instead we got weird flowy garments (they live on a mountain range, it's cold up there, babes) and Sansa's weird raven goth era that didn't commit hard enough

Tully Dresses
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wanted the Tully’s to have big voluminous sleeves, layered skirts, and tighter kirtles across the bodice, I also thought that they would keep most decor on their bodice. I included river embroidery and lots and lots of fish, including fish whose bodies are made from river stone.

my imagining of the tully girls, cat in blue and lysa in green :]]
i took most elements of their outfits from polish silesian traditional dresses, from the bytom region!!! i image they would only wear those costumes on rlly important occassions and usually wear much more casual wear, maybe more south (KL?) inspired :]]
im rlly hppy with this one !!

And this is my robe, slightly singed.
And this is my prophet’s junk.
And this is my twisted face.
A face that didn’t know it could be beautiful.
