"Katsuki, you have to come out."

You hear a sad grunt on the other side of the bathroom door, and you can picture the way his face is contorting in the mirror already.

It was almost cruel of your daughter to ask this of him, but she doesn't know that.

"If you won't come out I'm coming in." You open the door and press your lips together, willing yourself not to laugh.

Your strong and prideful husband stares at himself in the mirror; green curls frame his face, a yellow cape hangs off his shoulders, and he's fitted with Deku's signature jump suit.

"I hate this." He narrows his eyes at himself in the mirror. "Do I have to wear the wig, can't I have some dignity?"

"You have to wear it for photos at least." He grumbles as you lean your head on his shoulder. Even covered in green he still looks like himself. "Wait, you forgot one very important part."

You grab an eyeliner pencil from your makeup drawer and turn his face, drawing Midoriya's four freckles on each cheek.

"There, the finishing touch." He groans, and you take his head into your hands. "Just wait until you see Katsuno, she's so excited to be her hero."

His mouth twists to the side, most likely wondering why he even agreed to match with her. But you remember how his eyes sparkled when she came home from preschool overwhelmed with excitement saying that she wanted to match costumes with him. She only slipped it in afterwards that she would be dressing as him, and that of course he would have to be Deku.

Katsuki makes peace with his reflection and turns to you, "So can I get a Halloween kiss?"

He puckers his lips, grabbing onto you before you can dance out of his reach. "Just a kiss for your hero," he makes kissy sounds like the menace he is and you erupt into laughter, pushing his face away and trying to bend over backwards to get away from his assault.

"Ew! Daddy, that's gross!" Your youngest, Natsumi, stands in the doorway, her hand on her hip and fairy wings on her back. The sparkle makeup you let her do herself makes her serious look very much the opposite.

Katsuki lets go of you, and gets into a crouching position, hands in the air like he's some sort of monster. "It's your turn for kisses then!"

He chases her out of the bathroom and down the hall, rounding the corner into the girls' room, but Katsumi jumps out of the doorway holding up her hand to command a stop. Her hair is up in a ponytail, accented with Bakugou’s own hair spikes, her costume an almost near replica for his own, down to the knee pads and the boots.

"Stop!" Her little voice makes Katsuki freeze in his tracks, he grunts and lunges after her and your daughter squeals and runs into her room, with her father/monster/Deku on her tail.

"It's not every day you see prohero Deku chasing a squealing Dynamite!" You call down the hallway as you grab the last pieces of your costume.

"It's Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight to you!" Katsuki and Kasuno yell out in unison.

Your oldest, Takumi, appears next to you. His ninja costume must be working some type of magic because where did he even come from?

He shakes his head at the racket, "Those two are too much alike."

"Don't I know it…" you laugh at the screams coming from the girls' room once again and you can only imagine what is going on in there. Katsuki probably has them cornered on one of the beds and they're about to turn the tides with the help of some stuffed animals. "Come on bud, let's go see if anyone is here yet."

Bonus:

"You got photos of this right?" Izuku sneaks up on you with two of his children climbing on his arm like a jungle gym.

"Of course I did." You wiggle your phone at him, "And I already made backups, and backups of the backups."

"Smart," Izuku shuffles on his feet and the two kids decide climbing on their dad isn't fun anymore and run off. "Would you—"

"Don't worry, I already sent you a few."

"Thanks," Izuku looks around the crowd to spot his wife when you hear a loud yell.

"AUGH! You can't take me down so easily villains!"

You find the source: your husband, with his mini-me on his shoulders, and every Bakugou and Midoriya child, about eight in total, climbing on him trying to drag him down. The green wig slipping off his head and the child hanging off his neck; you raise your phone yet again.

"Don't worry Izuku, I'll send that one too," you laugh before he can even open his mouth.

“Hey nerd, why don’t you ever wear this sexy piece for me?” Katsuki said, holding up a skimpy pink lingerie set with lace heart designs.

Izuku bit his lip, trying not to laugh in his husband’s face. “Um well, because that’s not mine Kacchan.”

Katsuki frowned, looking between him and the lingerie. “What? But if it’s not yours then who…”

A look of horror morphed his face as he realized that it was his daughter’s piece. Their daughter who was visiting for Christmas with her wife, just like their son who was visiting with his wife and son.

They were bound to mix up laundry at some point. It was just his poor husband that was the victim of such a mistake.

“IZUMI MIDORIYA-BAKUGOU YOU ARE SO FUCKING GROUNDED YOUNG LADY!!!” Katsuki screamed after throwing the lingerie at the wall like it was a roach and not strings and lace.

“What?! The hell did I do?! I’m fucking twenty-three dammit!”

“Oooooh you’re in troubleeeee.” Katsumi taunted from what seemed to be the kitchen.

“Fucking!” Their grandson Toshi suddenly squealed out with a laugh.

All was quiet. Then Kira, Katsumi’s wife snarled. “You two have ten seconds to run.”

Izuku laughed as Katsuki scrambled out the room, running into their daughter as she came stumbling down the hall. They shoved and pushed at each other before both fell down the stairs in a heap.

“Ow! Ow! Kira baby what did I do? AH!” Katsumi whined.

Izuku threw his head back and laughed. “Oh, it’s Christmas.”

Izuku/Izuka Midoriya (Human Valor Bard) Ever since he was a child, Izuku looked up to the legendary heroes that had defended the world from destruction. He dreamed of being one of them one day, but he had no natural abilities of his own. That was, until he met the hero he idolized so strongly, and pleaded with him to teach his ways. The hero was awed by Izuku’s resolve, and trained him best he could, in the process awakening the boy’s own latent talents. He might not be the adventurer he dreamed of, but he’ll be the hero he was meant to be.

Katsuki/Katsumi Bakugou (Human Wild Magic Barbarian) The childhood rival of Izuku, Katsuki always held himself with more pride and arrogance, believing himself to be superior—especially once he awakened the latent and wild magic within his soul. Without hesitation, he’d set out to show the world his might and power, uncaring as his wild and vicious magic erupted around him in his quest for glory and power. So it came as a surprise to him when stories came of his childhood rival surpassing him every step of the way.

Ochako Uraraka (Human Graviturgy Wizard) Despite coming from next to nothing, Ochako showed incredible intelligence and an eagerness to learn at even a young age. She was especially drawn to the newly discovered Graviturgy magic—which did not make things easier for her parents. It took time, but eventually they managed to make enough to put their daughter through magic schooling, and when she was done, Ochako set off to travel the world, seeking gold to pay her parents back for everything.

Tenya Iida (Human Vengeance Paladin) Coming from a long line of knights and nobles, Tenya grew up expecting to live a rather charmed life. That all came crashing down when his older brother was struck down by a wicked warrior, left almost on his death bed. In that moment, his world was shaken, and he felt a rage take to his chest. He swore to avenge his fallen brother, becoming both the honorable knight that his brother had been, as well as the avenging angel to bring his terrible assailant to justice.

Shoto/Shoya Todoroki (Fire Genasi Draconic Sorcerer) Born the child of a fiery elemental and a long line of white dragonblood sorcerers, Shoto was created with the sole intent of being his father’s perfect peon. And, for a long time, Shoto believed that such was his fate—that the only way to truly have any agency was to refuse to use the fiery powers of his bloodline. All that changed when he crossed paths with Izuku, and his eyes were opened to the true possibility of his life.

Mina Ashido (Tiefling Spores Druid) Mina had always known that she was different—from her pink skin and curling horns, to her close connection and appreciation for the caustic fungi that grew in the woods near her home—yet she never let that slow her down in life. Always bright and cheerful, Mina brings a spark of delight to everyone whose path she crosses, and she’s eager to see what wonderful possibilities may wait for her in the world.

Momo Yaoyorozu (Human Monk/Rogue) Despite hailing from a rich and powerful family, Momo always wanted more for herself. She had a knack for combat, and an eagerness to prove herself in a way that her family largely didn’t believe she could. When given the chance, she set off on her own, armed to the teeth—though she didn’t look like it. In fact, if anyone were ever to cross paths with her, they’d assume her to be utterly unarmed and defenseless—a mistake a fool would only ever make once.

Tsuyu Asui (Halfling Drunken Master Monk) Most people who meet Tsuyu walk away with a few questions. Why does a halfling act so much like a frog? Where did she learn her strange and unique fighting style? What is with her unique verbal tic of croaking every few words? Most people joke that a wizard must’ve come upon a frog and decided to make it a human, and they laugh about it over drinks. Tsuyu, watching them all laugh, doesn’t have the heart in her to tell them just how right they actually are.

Mei Hatsume (Human Armorer Artificer) Born in one of the industrial centers of the kingdoms, Mei was practically raised on gears, grease, and pure grit. While the tiny fingers of gnomes make for tiny, ingenious inventions, Mei’s ambitions always soared higher, reached further—her creations much larger and more gaudy than they had any right to be. She would prove herself to be one of the best inventors in the world, and immediately set off to do just that the moment she could leave home.

Toshinori Yagi (Goliath Wild Magic Barbarian) For nearly two decades now, Toshinori has stood tall and proud as a beacon of goodness in the land—a warrior of incredible might and power, but who stands for righteousness. But when a foul villain managed to strike him with a wasting curse, he assumed this was the end. He intended to spend the rest of his life fighting the good fight, until the curse finally did him in…until he met a young Izuku, and he realized that perhaps, this hopeful youth could be his legacy.

Inko Midoriya (Human Housewife NPC) Though she’d always hoped the best for her son, Inko had to admit that the life of an adventurer always seemed like such…a fantasy. Especially with such dangers in the world to contend with, and with her son being such a small and frail child for so long. Yet, once the kind Toshinori stepped into her son’s life, she saw a change. She saw, to her absolute joy, the hero her son could be, and she had never been more proud.

Mitsuki Bakugou (Human Housewife NPC) While Inko has nothing but pride for her child, Mitsuki wasn’t so lucky. She is often found cursing whatever eldritch or otherworldly entity gifted her son with the wild and unpredictable magic that burst from him as he raged—not only did it make it difficult to keep her house sorted as he grew up, but no amount of strictness and scolding was enough to put him back in line. She dreaded the day her son met a foe too great to face, for his hubris would be his undoing that day.

Shouta Aizawa (Human Abjuration Wizard) With all the chaos and confusion that young adventurers setting off on their journeys can bring, it takes a firm hand to keep the peace—which is exactly where Shouta Aizawa steps in. A master of all kinds of abjurations, his specialty is in making unruly adventurers submit, and he does not take no for an answer. He has plenty of spell slots to spend on ensuring the conflicts are resolved, and more than enough fury to put those troublemakers in their place.

Nerumi Kayama (Half-Elf Glamour Bard) Gifted in the arts of magic and music, the ever beautiful and ever divine Nerumi is both an adventurer and a proud business owner. She runs the dusky burlesque show out of one of the more upper-end destinations in the main city, and people from all around come and flock to see the gorgeous bard perform. When she’s not performing, she’s instructing the other showgirls in the art of Glamour, ensuring her arts of beauty will live on long after her.

Rumi Usagiyama (Lagomore Barbarian/Monk) While her friend might be all about beauty and art, Rumi has no time for that. Not to say the rabbitfolk isn’t gorgeous—she absolutely is!—but as a warrior still out questing, she has no time to worry about how she looks, only about how her opponents look. And if the answer isn’t “real real hurt”, she just needs to work harder. She won’t back down, won’t stop or slow, until her opponent is down on the ground and begging for mercy.

Enji Todoroki (Fire Genasi Berserker Barbarian) Once, Enji and Toshinori were companions. They served together in the same adventuring company, and considered each other friends. But Enji was nothing if not a proud man, and an envious man, and as he watched his friend soar to higher and higher acclaim…he couldn’t help but wonder why he failed to reach such heights. It burned a hole through his heart, and he became fixated on besting his rival, much to the grief of his family.

Dabi (Fire Genasi Sorcerer Antagonist) Little is known of the fiery criminal known as Dabi. What little that is known is the destruction he leaves in his wake—towns left in a blaze, caravans charred and ruined, bodies immolated in the fields where they once worked. At each scene of conflict, a message is left—burned into a wall, charred into the ground, smoldered into a field to be seen from above. “Is this what you wanted?”

Himiko Toga (Dhampire Blood Hunter Antagonist) Himiko did not want to be born like this—born this twisted half-hybrid of a human and a vampire. The world did not want her like that, either, and as soon as it could, it threw hate and violence her way. It cursed her, attacked her, and vowed to kill her so they would be rid of her, and safe. It was horrible—they were horrible—and it didn’t take long for something inside the Dhampire girl to crack. They saw her as a monster? Congratulations. They got what they wanted.

Bakudeku Drabble inspired by @writing-prompt-s

“Oh, ho! This is awesome!” The Princess preened in front of the mirror, gazing upon her new male body. “Stupid witch. This fits me better don’t you think Deku?” He strutted naked as the tailor worked feverishly to create all new outfits. The blonde haired princess now sported a muscular frame sure to gain the attention of many— male jealousy and female favor.

“Ye-yeah…” the soldier stuttered, a blush blooming to the tips of his ears. Deku, aka Izuku Midoriya was the Princesses bodyguard. The pair practically grew up together. “You look amazing princess Kacchan.”

“Prince.” Kacchan, aka Katsumi Bakugou corrected. “And I bet you like it better,” he smirked, “ya gay bastard!”

“I-I’m not gay!”

“You are now.”

Izuku’s mouth slammed shut at the truthful statement. He knew, that Katsumi knew, that he’d been in love with her all their lives and based on the cherry tomato hue of his cheeks, it didn’t matter what sex Katsumi was now.

“I think…” Katsumi spoke as he continued looking over the features of his new body. “A name change is also in order… call me Katsuki from now on.”

“I’ll stick with Kacchan,” Izuku whispered, too embarrassed to say much more.

“Of course, you would.” Katsuki suddenly turned around and grabbed Izuku by the chin. “You’re lucky I don’t mind you calling me by that childish name.” His hand switched its grip to caress and tip Izuku’s chin up, grinning as he leaned in close. “Bet you’d love calling it out in my bed too…”
