Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is a fantastic watch. I think people were really missing the vibe of ZNMD and DCH and ig the makers really tried to bring that out in this movie. And damn.
First of all, the artistic aspects of it are just so well done?? Like they NAILED Bandra. I think there wasn't a shot in the movie where they showed the sea link but the night clubs, bars, parties, neon lights literally screamed Bandra to me. The music was alright- the title track was slightly underwhelming. But the song "Cool Kids" by Kayan is an instant fave.
Also SIDDHANT CHAUTURVEDI THE MAN THAT YOU ARE. impeccable acting as always. And Ananya acted! In! This! Film! So refreshing.
However, I think Adarsh Gourav was really the highlight. His character was so nicely fleshed out. The feeling of everything going wrong in our lives makes us vent in such unhealthy ways and that was nicely shown through his character.
I felt hugging all three of the main characters though, at the end of the movie. Beautiful character arcs and growth for each of them.

"I don't believe in a god who does nothing but watch from afar. I believe in that stupid girl."
Tumblr media
ISTG THIS LINE HAS ME AT A CHOKEHOLD
Like it's not even particularly emphasized and it really wasnt the highlight of the chapter, but it's just so meaningful to me. That line was what really encompassed (to me) Medea, Psyche, and their relationship at the beginning.
Medea not believing in God despite standing right before them. She was raised harshly, God never gave her answers nor shone their light on her, she found them herself and forged her own path.
Tumblr media
But when she called God someone that only watches from afar, I think she was also talking about Psyche. After all, she saw how God didn't save Psyche, even if she was supposed to be their chosen one and beloved.
Tumblr media
And "I believe in that stupid girl"?? To Medea, Psyche's character, her kindness and pureness, are objectively weak. As a Solon, she was raised in an environment where kindness isn't something she could afford. Being pure is naivety, which is also a weakness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not to mention that it's not just Medea that saw kindness as a weakness, it was their world's "objective truth." They (Eros and co) used it to exploit and manipulate her. Yet Medea recognized that with Psyche, kindness wasn't just a weakness, it was her strength. It made people want to believe in her; it made Medea want to believe in her.
Tumblr media
But also, the inherent deepness of their bond? Idk? gayness? homoeroticism? of rejecting a god and believing in Psyche instead when she herself knows it's stupid?

#1 - 50
no im kidding LOLLLL #25 and 34.
(Context: Questions for Fic Writers Ask Game) LOOOOOL I WAS ABOUT TO BE LIKE "DAMN OKAY" xD
25. What other websites or resources do you use most often when you write?
My toxic habit is that I go on google and look up synonyms of a word and search until I find one I like if I notice I'm repeating myself/want it to hit different. I should be using actual resources imo but I'm too lazy to go find them.
I also tend to research random things for accuracy (e.g. for S&S D, I often check what pokemon are available in certain areas for worldbuilding; for DIOH I recently went on a whole deep dive about sencha so I could incorporate cultural stuff & things like taste appropriately, etc.)
34. What aspects of your writing are inspired by/taken from your real life?
Sweet & Sour Dipplins:
I recently said this but Kieran's dialogue regarding gayness was verbatim my memory of what little me said in response to learning about gay people & a family member's disapproval of gay marriage ("Isn't love just love, though?")
Some of the highlights of Juliana's character are based on what I aspire to be/try to be, and her character flaws are based on what I know are my own.
Not really irl stuff but I lazily decided Juliana's team is legit my Scarlet team because I didn't feel like putting too much thought into it LOOOOL
I think I pull from my interactions with my irl guy friends when thinking of what Drayton would do/say sometimes. Also same with the bromance that is Arven/Crispin.
I base a lot of Sweet & Sour Applins' behaviors off of cats. Sweet Applin is more of my freinds' domestic cats, while Sour Applin is closer to a cat I grew up with and saved from the streets. She had a very big love/hate relationship with me in particular DESPITE ME BEING THE FIRST HUMAN SHE WARMED UP TO AND THE LITERAL REASON SHE GOT A HOME-
One of the S&S kissing scenes is based on something I've experienced personally. I am not saying which one. 💀
The Dichotomy in Our Hearts:
People in my personal life often describe my disposition as being "sunshiney", but I can have my own broody rainclouds when I'm down lol. I usually appreciate being able to talk about my feelings but if I'm in a particularly rare mood of total despondence nothing will really work on me other than silence and physical touch. It's my primary love language and Kieran's own despondence being broken through with it in Chapter 2 is a very ME thing in hindsight LOOOOL
Juliana hiding her feelings is something I have absolutely done with crushes growing up, and her shy but curious and caring disposition is based off of my past self. How she will deal with her secret crush on Kieran will also be dealt with in the way I have dealt with my own (although this is coincidence and is for the plot).
A Sugary Sweet Kiss:
One time I went on a date with someone who was really really nervous the whole time, and I pulled a littleeeee bit from him when I was characterizing Kieran. I also dressed very nicely while the other person dressed down like Juliana and Kieran did in the fic. xD

Today's compilation:
20 Greatest Songs in Motown History 1985 R&B / Soul / Pop
Back on the Motown bus for a little bit, with this great collection of hits from the label's catalog that spans their two most dominant decades, the 60s and 70s, and ultimately shows why the Detroit-and-then-LA-based record company was, and still is, the greatest institution in the history of American popular music.
Motown's roster was simply unrivaled. The Jackson 5, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, and Lionel Richie were all enormous, chart-topping forces that have really shaped the history of music as we know it, and no other label, be they focused solely on r&b, soul, funk, and disco, or be they a major label with a much broader output, can really say the same. The Motown collective grew to become straight-up royalty, and the roster they built did not come as a result of poaching or luring talent from other labels. Much of what they created was built from the ground up.
So here we have a concentrated helping of their top-tier greatness, with all of those legends listed above and more. It's not chronological, but as the album moves back and forth between two different decades, you can see just how well they were able to adjust to whatever trends were out there, and how they were also able to push envelopes. For example, on here you'll find a bunch of girl group classics, with a quartet of essentials from Diana Ross & The Supremes as well as Martha & The Vandellas' "Dancing in the Street;" you'll also get a taste of Diana on the solo tip too, with the comp's lone disco hit, 1976's "Love Hangover;" and then for something less conventional, but no less captivating, you'll also get something like The Four Tops' big and impassioned "Reach Out I'll Be There."
Plus, if you thought a comp like this that had the Jackson 5 on it would have either "I Want You Back" or "ABC" on it, you'd be wrong. Instead, we get another one of their biggest hits, the fantastic "Never Can Say Goodbye."
So, if you've never really listened to Motown before, consider this collection your 101 level starter pack. Tomorrow, we'll be diving a bit deeper.
Highlights:
Diana Ross - "Touch Me in the Morning" Marvin Gaye - "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" Stevie Wonder - "For Once in My Life" The Jackson 5 - "Never Can Say Goodbye" The Temptations - "My Girl" Diana Ross - "Love Hangover" Diana Ross & The Supremes - "Where Did Our Love Go" Martha Reeves & The Vandellas - "Dancing in the Street" Diana Ross & The Supremes - "Stop! In the Name of Love" Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - "The Tracks of My Tears" Diana Ross & The Supremes - "You Keep Me Hangin' On" Commodores - "Easy" Four Tops - "Reach Out I'll Be There" Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - "Ain't No Mountain" Diana Ross & The Supremes - "You Can't Hurry Love" Four Tops - "Standing in the Shadows of Love" The Temptations - "Just My Imagination" Marvin Gaye - "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)"

(crazy)
cartman is literally the most complex and multitalented character in south park and i dont get most of the people who completely disregard him. if you dont want to see him, dont watch idk? south park is meant to be offensive and it’s okay if you get offended, thats the point. thats also the fun to be had with eric cartman’s character.
but accusing him of homophobic or would be transphobic? did we watch the same show??? cartmans went on a ‘date’ with his other cupid personality after it convinced him there’s nothing wrong w gayness n he never misgendered any character. he regularly crossdresses too. he had giant boobs willingly ffs he’s so queer you shld be able to taste the rainbow through the screen
the reason he’s so repressed and bigoted toward jews is legit his mother. ppl forget that cartman was not raised on /pol/, he was raised with /pol/ rhetoric being spewed by his mother and legit the only evidence against it is that cartman took her to see the passion of the christ to ‘prove’ jews were horrible, when this is easier read as (given context) him being excited to share something with his mother because it agrees with her on jews. interesting to note that liane has been discriminatory toward kyle as well, but acts surprised when cartman is discriminatory toward shelia.
(also i feel like it’s too late into the show to have his influences come from an outside source like the internet, as they do for most kids his age modernly. south park started during the internet’s adolescence, it’s all his mother)
i feel liane being a key factor in cartman’s behaviour is overlooked because she is a mother. i love liane and eric for the evil characters they are, so don’t get me wrong, but you cant really deny that she’s often seen as one of the greats in south parenting because she’s a motherly figure. if you think randy is the worst, spend a few minutes looking over liane. (sharon is actually the best btw)
to the talented part, even in earlier seasons you see cartman being a camera nerd. he’s got very impressive camera skills for Anyone, even outside his age group. i know this because i went to camera classes, and because you can see the south park real estate agents asking how he even got such a nice photo.
when i first started this blog, i reblogged a post highlighting cartmans musical talents saying he could make a good popstar, and no matter how far i get into cartman brainrot, i still agree. cartman can easily read sheet music and knows his way around a piano, and you can see his dedication to music in his groups fingerbang and faith+1. even if it was just to get the million dollars whatever, if he had no heart for music he likely wouldve had different ideas or been way less inspired.
yeah none of this really matters because its just silly old south park but it matters to me that i feel intellectual about the most evil character on television. i LOVE EVIL CARTMAN. i hope he’s evil forever. i just like him a bit much ykno <3

Trailer for ep 19 out and it’s DELICIOUS!!!!
Of course he’s there to tell her off. In best soap tradition, Ekim would have seen a very different picture if she stayed for another minute.
Tumblr media
This is totally her “I am about to get laid by a high schooler” face. Gaye, perhaps you should examine how your life choices led you to prospect of sleeping with a fucked up and not particularly interested 18 year old in a seedy motel being the highlight of your week.
Tumblr media
This is Kanat’s patented “I give no fucks about you and am about to say something really rude” face ahahahahahah
Tumblr media
Bwhahahahah. That bod is only for Ekim. Perhaps his dad might be interested?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Poor sweet darling!
Tumblr media
I love every time the brothers have an interaction that is not driven by the hate and damage Riza inflicted. Awwww, Aziz! Who is apparently the most functional one in that trainwreck of a family and is telling Kanat he can’t be good to everyone, it won’t work, so he has to pick to be good to those he truly loves (ie he should concentrate on making Ekim happy and if it hurts Gaye or whoever who cares.) God, Aziz. ILY my messed up boy coming out of the darkness your monster father inflicted!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am screaming (but inside so as not to get locked up for a maniac.) I AM SCREAMING, OZMEL AAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Tumblr media
They slay me. They are both horrible people and have caused so much pain to total randoms but like - I cannot explain how perfect they are together for me. Bad guy and bad girl who are everything to each other and can’t get it together and just...also, I can’t believe I am about to say this, but I am glad Ozan finally reached his limit and drew a line - and I love that he did it while being crystal clear it’s not because he doesn’t love her. He loves her but he can’t do this. Pls let her chase him - she might - the one time before they had a genuine fight she begged forgiveness on her knees in public because they are dramatic as hell but also because she really can’t be without him. That would hopefully teach her she has to put effort in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, Hazal, tell off Madam Statutory!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ekim is 100% getting kidnapped at some point. I want it tbh because I want to see Kanat utterly lose it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And she smacks the hell out of him. Last time she did it he kissed her. Probably won’t be this lucky this time. JUST TALK, IDIOTS!!!! Why did you lie, Kanat? Like - you can tell her you saw an ex and told her you only love Ekim! Kanat continues to cause himself all the harm/
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that it occurs to not a single character in this show (or the writers apparently) that Gaye is not just an ex or sidepiece or w/e but a groomer who chased an underaged abuse victim and that at best this is/was a really gross and inappropriate relationship is WILD to me. Fine Kanat is too fucked up, Ekim is mainly concentrating on potential cheating and Melissa is a mess but like - none of them? None of them realize that?!
PS Did they drop who the white elephant was entirely? The new writers are fine otherwise but they do leave a lot of plotholes.

VIDA is literally one of the best shows that’s ever existed and I don’t hear it talked about enough
The third and Final season came out in 2020 and I still haven’t been able to bring myself to watch it because I just don’t want it to be over.
I’ve watched it completely alone and enjoyed it completely alone because nobody else in my life is interested.
It’s the first time I’ve ever seen queer Latinx representation in its entirety and not a fetishized way (Carmen from the L word)
It’s the first time I’ve seen the nuances of expression that exist among Latinx and immigrant queers. How out can you be? What of yourself do you minimize so you can still be accepted in your community? How do you deal with that judgement? From all sides
VIDA is everything because I saw myself, but it also highlighted how isolated Latinx queers can be.
This show has all of the things people swoon about in other shows and it just never got acknowledged.
I see people obsess over so many other shows that have a little gayness sprinkled in. I see them create entire worlds and obsessions based on these characters.
Yet VIDA has love and loss and magical realism and real representation of trans and gay and bi characters with such love and truth. It has older queer characters!
ALSO! Literally some of the hottest fucking sex scenes I have EVER seen. Where are the gifs of that with all the little gays panicking?
It also had such a gorgeous view into the struggle of being a Latinx person and an activist. How fighting for your existence is exhausting. How activist spaces can be so unsafe and how the toxic aspect of our culture permeate so many things.
I saw that so clearly as I posted and shared and asked so many people to see this magic and got nothing back.
I really hope more people see Vida and take the time to love it even though it isn’t made to cater specifically to them.
It’s a masterpiece and I’m going to lay down and watch it again today. Maybe I’ll even make it through season three. Probably not though, I’m not ready to say goodbye.

[movie review] justice league vs. teen titans (2016)
“you dare disobey me? have you forgotten your heritage? you are an al ghul.” “no… i’m a titan!"
yeah they knocked this one out of the fucking park. just absolutely crushed it.
i was actually a little sad to discover that this one wasn’t based on a comic, because i was really looking forward to reading whatever it was.
damian gets some sense knocked into him and stops being such a selfish little twerp without stopping being damian, and it is such a joy to see because i am so protective of him and i am so over people just constantly hating on him. hate on, haters! and i love how earned his developing relationships with the team feel.
raven is the fucking best, and i need her civilian outfit omg. the choice to tie her story and trauma into the central villain/conflict of the movie is an inspired one and having that kind of character-driven conflict in a movie where you’re building a team dynamic from scratch is just such a huge asset, like usually this is the movie where you kind of throw an uninteresting villain in there because you need all the narrative space for the team but this movie is smart enough to understand that having the villain be actually meaningful to the characters helps create that space and i just wish storytellers would realize this rather obvious thing more often. and then tying damian’s relationship with his grandfather and personal growth back into it too to make it a double-whammy is just so inspired.
i love how lived-in the relationships between the already-established titans feel. jaime and garfield channeling their gayness for each other into constantly trying to one-up each other obviously highlights, but the whole team really does feel like a family. i love how earned the relationships damian forms with them feel. i love that he can actually play well with others now. i love, love, love cyborg being unwilling to leave the justice league but also just boom tubing in because it’s pizza night.
dick checking in on starfire because he’s the daddy of the titans and she’s the mommy is the best thing and i’m kind of willing to concede at this point that my dick/barbara shipping has probably been too inflexible in the past, because these two are really good together.
honestly, i kind of just want more of these movies forever. i know they rebooted the whole damn universe AGAIN after i stopped watching these, but please can you just give me like twelve of THESE? BEAST BOY KICKS A BAD GUY AS A KANGAROO AND LANDS ON HIM AS AN ELEPHANT, ARE YOU SURE YOU DON’T WANT TO MAKE MORE OF THESE?
THIS MOVIE HAS A DDR FIGHT BETWEEN ROBIN AND BEAST BOY THAT IS PLAYED COMPLETELY STRAIGHT, I NEED THIS TO HAVE HAD MORE THAN THE ONE SEQUEL IT GOT. PLEASE, I ASK FOR SO LITTLE.

This weeks guests sounds like Pink Floyd, the Doors and a bit of Hendrix. I have been a fan since I first heard them on Spotify, and I hope to see them live soon. Here is Emmett from Maisie.
Tell us a little bit about Maisie? Members, how did you get together etc?
The beginnings of Maisie goes back around 6 years ago after I had started a deep dive into the psychedelic music realm (Think Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Tame Impala and early Psychedelic Pxrn Crumpets). Since the bands creation I’ve been the main driver of the project and because of that has seen a number of changes over the years, with the band still being inspired by psychedelia, blues and rock n roll but now we are very groove and energy focused taking huge influence from the funk and soul. These changes have been a result of the growth and development of my personal perspective and connection to the expression of music, performing and song writing over the years and as well shifts in members to really embody the same feelings and passion.
What are you short and long terms goals?
The short term focus right now is to finish our first full length LP and to be able to express and capture that in a cohesive manner. Along side the album our short term goals are to expand our audience and focus on breaking out of Adelaide and playing more interstate shows.
The Long Term goal is to be able to take our expression and passion that is within our performance and share that with the world and inspire as many people as possible, a big long term goal is international touring and playing festivals, taking our music to the US and to Europe!
What is your career highlight so far?
Honestly career highlight is just having people sing the lyrics to a song that we wrote back to us before we can even get to it. We’ve supported a band from the US (Earthless) and a few of our fave interstate bands but the moments of connection, mentioned above, is what we do it for.
Your song “Hot Juice” is my personal favourite of yours. What is the inspiration behind it?
Hot Juice is a funny one, the origins of this one came around the time I was going through a big Parliament/Funkadelic phase and so when some really stupid lyrics just slipped out telling the story of a raunchy 70s pool cleaner and a love affair with a car we just had to roll with it. Conceptually and Lyrically with the car theme I took great inspiration from my favourite Van Halen tracks, “Panama” and David Lee Roth’s use of cheeky car metaphors.
Have you got any new music coming out? Or are you still recording?
We are still in a bit of a recording phase for the majority of the album but we have just announced our next single, “Sugar for Dinner” is due for release on April 11. It’ll be the very first single that was written and performed by the current members of the band.
The whole band is super excited about this one, as it took us a long time to get the vision the way we wanted it, but personally I am incredibly eager to have it out in the world because I absolutely love and adore everyone in the band and it feels like we have made something special together and is the most cohesive piece of music I’ve ever been a part of.
Who are the greatest influences on you? Individually and as a band?
Individually I would say, as an artist and guitarist Jimi Hendrix is probably the biggest one, The Beatles, Khruangbin, Tame Impala and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd and Marvin Gaye are big in there too all of those artist never stopped exploring, growing and trying new things which to me is the most important part of life let alone music.
As a performer I am greatly influenced by Michael Hutchence of INXS the way he could charm and take control of a crowd is something I admire and think is one of the rarest things and another big mention is David Byrne from the Talking Heads and I think that can speak for itself.
As a band theres a huge mix bag of influences similar to the likes of Funkadelic, Yussef Dayes, Santana, Led Zeppelin, Creed and the Doors.
What are your opinions of the Adelaide music scene?
I think the Adelaide music scene is super fun and diverse, I’ve seen some extraordinary bands over the years, I honestly don’t think it gets the recognition it deserves both within and outside of South Australia, I feel bigger Aussie music media outlets don’t give enough credit to the raw, exciting sounds that are coming out of Adelaide. A few of my fave Adelaide artists include the Empty Threats, Coldwave, Sons Of Zoku and The Hazys.
Favourite Adelaide venue to play?
At the moment it’s probably the Cranker, just feels like home, it’s sweaty, it’s crowded.
If you could invite 4 musicians to dinner dead or alive) who would you invite?
I swear my answer changes every time but I always have Jeff Buckley on there alongside Jimi Hendrix, Marvin Gaye and Jack White. I feel as through there would plenty of good convos w those guys.
Any gigs coming up you want to promote?
We’re Playing March 16 on the Gov main stage which is a great, iconic room and the big one is our “sugar for Dinner” single launch on April 20 at the Queens theatre which we have a few surprised in store!!
Gibson or Fender? What gear do you play?
I’m definitely more of a Fender man, guitar wise I mainly switch between my Fender US strat or my Rickenbacker.
If you were given the chance to support one artist in the world, who would you pick?
Right now, it’d be Tame Impala, one of my biggest inspirations over the years. but I’ve also heard that George Clinton and the Parliament-Funkadelic are touring at the moment, I wouldn’t say no to that!
Dream festival line up?
It’d have to be something like Coachella haha
If you were stuck on a deserted island with only one record, what would it be?
Probably The Universe Smile Upon You by Khruangbin
Where can people find out more about you?
via our socials - we’re most active on instagram
and you can find links to our music and upcoming shows here (including our Sugar for Dinner Launch show on Saturday April 20): https://linktr.ee/maisieband_

One of my other big resolutions last year was to listen to one album every day (on average). It was a lot of fun and I did manage to do it! I mostly re-listened to my old favorite bands and mixed it up with recommendations from friends.
Finally listening to Rage Against the Machine's albums was a highlight. I listened to wonderful albums by Osibisa, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Robert Plant, Pavement, and many others. It would take me too long to list the dozens (or hundreds?) of new albums I found.
I'm gonna keep up with it. I've really been exposed to some great music and it's usually one of the highlights to my day and brings a smile to my face. I'm currently listening to Muse, Rush, and Iron Maiden because I've gotta have the bass. Santana as well since he put out an album last year and he's just so good.

I was reading the local news which is always a mistake, and I was triggered by an article that I stumbled across surrounding a drag show at a local museum which, I would imagine, coincides their current installation highlighting local LGBTQ history in the community. The reason that the drag show was cancelled was not given, but the Proud Boys happened to showing up to protest said drag show. Their reasoning for being there, of course, was doubtlessly to “protect the children” from “groomers” and, on god, it caused my brain to snap.
First of all, have these people ever been to a PG-rated drag show? Because they exist. Can drag shows be risqué? Absolutely, but it truly depends on the act, the drag queen and what their niche is. To assume they’re all risqué is a myopic few that, while I’m not at all surprised, only someone not familiar with drag at all would take. A lot of drag shows are just men dressed up as women lip-syncing to the latest gay pop hits on the radio. This is not at all a threat to children. In fact, I would imagine that children would dig the person dressed up in excessive amounts of makeup with the princess dresses on. They probably wouldn’t even equate it to gayness or sexuality at all. All drag queens don’t strip and gyrate on folks in the crowd. Grow up.
Secondly, being gay does not make you a f*^%ing groomer. Far from it. I only have sexual intercourse with consenting women of age. I prefer being with women in their mid to late 30’s or early 40’s. This is when women are both at their hottest and at their sexual peak. I’m not the only one. Most gays like to be with folks their own age, or, worst case, with consenting adults that want to go. The ONLY difference between homosexuals and heterosexuals in that regard is that we like folks of the same-sex.
Third, we aren’t trying to convince your child to be gay just because we want to see representation on screen and in a community. I will say that based on the insane amount of bullshit that I have been through in my life directly related to my gayness (religious trauma, family abandonment, lost friends, micro-aggressions, violence, judgement, loneliness, depression, mental anguish, fear, anxiety, isolation, hiding), I would have never chosen to like girls consciously. I will also not lie about liking a man to fit into this stupid heteronormative society. I don’t care that much. I’m not going to punish myself to fit in. I did try. I failed miserably. Sex with a man to me is much like what I imagine having sex with a tree might be like: boring, emotionless, dry, stoic, lame… as opposed to sex with women which can be literally explosive and earth-shattering. Still, I wouldn’t wish this on my own worst enemy let alone a little child. It’s a chemical reaction. I cannot control it. If they turn out gay, neither will they. We’re not going to blow glitter in their faces, or perform some sort of Jedi-mind trick that convinces them that they want to hook up with someone of the same sex. You can’t be f*^%ing recruited. That isn’t how this works. That isn’t how any of this works.
Finally, if anyone is grooming anyone, it is f*^%ing heterosexuals grooming their own f*^%ing children. I cannot tell you how many f*^%ing times I have seen parents joke about their toddlers having “boyfriends” or “girlfriends” in preschool. F*^%ing really? It happened to me when I was a kid. I was constantly being asked by some grown-ass adult if I had a “boyfriend”. No, b*^%+. No, I don’t have a f*^%ing boyfriend. I’m about as sexually attracted to boys as I am a f*^%ing chair. Plus, I’m five. I don’t even know what sex is yet. On top of this, parents are buying kids gender specific toys so that they fit into a preconceived role in our heteronormative society (boys get cars and action figures, girls get kitchenette sets and dolls), and, they’re being fed a steady diet of Disney stories that refuse to do anything more than veil in queer-coded characters here and there while the main characters almost always end up being a boy and girl that get together, kiss, then riding off in the sunset to live happily ever after. As a baby gay, I can assure you that the lack of representation only further stunted my growth into a well-rounded adult by about 20 years, and I’m still not sure that I’m actually there. So yeah. It is you that is doing the damage. Just let your kids like what they like. Be supportive. Love them.
In closing, F*^% you. F*^% you for canceling the drag show. F*^% you because your d*^% is so small, and your thoughts so repressed that you feel compelled to butt your pathetic little nose into other people’s affairs. F*^% you.

“I had been a fan of Jack Harlow’s, like older projects, for a long time, and he was just on a list of people I thought would kill over the song Comic Sands. So we reached out and his team go back to us probably six months later or something. Like we were at a point where we’re like, ‘Oh, looks like the song is not going to have a feature. No one thinks it’s cool, and no one’s going to fuck with it,’ but he just randomly like DM’d me his verse. So we worked and like shot the video, and he blew up after that, which was like so awesome for me to see someone I’ve been a fan of for a while, kind of take that trajectory and be able to do what he’s doing now.”
12:18–12:53 — Audrey Nuna on receiving a shoutout from BTS’Jung Kook on social media.
“It’s so cool to get love from K-Pop stars because I just think it’s crazy the influence that they have, first of all. I remember when that happened, shit was going crazy, and I had no idea why until I realized it was because of the shout-out. The love is so real just cause, you know, we’re both Korean and there’s a similar experience that we have. But at the same time, it’s also not a given because being Korean-American versus being Korean is different upbringing. So to connect in that way through music is really, really sick.”
03:13–04:09 — Audrey Nuna on representation and her Asian-American role models growing up.
“In terms of Asian-American role models, I don’t think I have that many. Aside from the people in my life, you know, of course, my mom, my older sister. I think at some point, you just imagine them for yourself or…Not having role models sometimes sucks, but it also sometimes allows you to just build what that is for yourself. Like, I have friends who are Asian-American in entertainment, and they’re just so not the stereotype of like the Asian-American person that’s been perpetrated in American media. At least for me, I recognized at an early age that those stereotypes that were pushed in American media of even the minor characters were not who I am. And it kind of is liberating in a way to be able to, like, be whoever you want to be, not have to fit into any type of box.”
07:01–07:45 — Audrey Nuna reflects on the release of her first album, “A Liquid Breakfast,” a year later.
“A Liquid Breakfast. That project is really special. It’s, you know, everyone’s first project, I think is really special. It’s the project that you spend your whole life writing, you know. I feel like your very first project is a sign of the times in your life where like every year before that has led up to, to this body of work. And I’m really proud of that project. I just wanted it to be as honest as I could be, and I think it’s just set a precedent for everything that I want to put out for the rest of my career. It has to be at this level of honesty or greater. So I hold it really near and dear to my heart, super proud of it and proud of everyone involved, and grateful for all the memories attached to it.”
09:23–09:54 — Audrey Nuna on being featured on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” playlist.
“I think Fresh Finds like being on that playlist meant more to me than anything as an independent artist before being with the label and everything. Being on Fresh Finds, it’s like one of the most, like times I appreciated Spotify because just putting people on who don’t have that platform yet, I think that’s one of the most important things that any platform could be doing for artists. And they really, just as they do that shit still to this day, you know, fresh finds is still on my favorite playlist on Spotify.”

//Not really in the Lion King headspace atm so I’ll just add to the GoT ranting but one (of few, to be fair) aspects where I think the show did better than the books is how it handled its gay characters
#Out of Service Out of Africa (OOC)#//like the most common criticism of the show in this regard is 'It makes those characters tied to their sexuality and nothing else!'#but hey. at least the show actually explicitly says it and you don't have to dig through subtext and throwaway lines#and like the common response to that is 'It was the nineties! He couldn't have wrote that in!'#but like. this is also the book series that has extremely (often needlessly) graphic depictions of r*pe. murder. torture. incest. ect#not that gayness is equal to any of those things but that kind of highlights my point no?#and the only ''explicitly'' gay characters are just depicted as being predatory towards little boys which is obviously Not Great#-and that comes up more than characters being predatory towards younger-than-twelve girls. Not commenting on that just saying-#or otherwise there's some bullshit flowery line about 'notoriously uninterested in the charms of women'#like I'm not calling George a homophobe or anything he's obviously (...relatively) progressive#but if he REALLY wanted too he could've. And keep in mind I only just finished Clash but I don't think Jon Connington is any less subtextual#granted that the major LGBT characters in the show are dead now but so is like 75% of the cast so I'm not /that/ mad about that#and I kind of like the ''depth'' (if you can call it that) the show gave Loras and Renly#being afraid of blood is a nice character quirk and yeah Loras got with another guy after Renly died. People move on and cope differentlyidc#like I can get the 'they just made this character their sexuality!' argument#and I know straight writers and fans mean well. but they really just can't understand how much being LGBT DOES affect your sense of self#how you carry yourself. who you choose to be close too. your childhood. how you to relate to your family. your friends. strangers. ect#it would be an especially huge part of your self-identity if you lived in a ''heteronormative'' (as much as I hate that word) feudal society#like ASOIAF is too#anyway thats my needlessly long TEDTalk#and why Renly is a red deer stag and Loras is a cheviot ram#I'm in that Robin Hood headspace reading the books where I'm just like 'Oh. Dontos Hollard...He's a panda.'

Today's compilation:
25 #1 Hits From 25 Years 1983 R&B / Soul / Girl Groups / Pop-Soul / Disco
Seriously, it's so wild to me that just three years before Motown put out this double-LP that took 25 of their #1 hits from a 25-year period, they released another compilation with the same concept that took 20 #1 hits from a 20-year period; and almost half the tunes between these two releases don't actually overlap at all! To put this in perspective, I don't think there's another record company in America, outside of enormous major labels that have been around for many more decades and have released music across a much broader spectrum of genres, that could put together even one volume of US chart-toppers. But if a single volume consists of roughly 20 to 25 songs, then Motown would need to put out a total of two volumes and change in order to cover every #1 hit that they've ever had! They're just so head-and-shoulders above everyone else.
And while the 20-songs-in-20-years comp put a lot of its focus on the 70s, this one operates chronologically, and starts in 1961 with Motown's first ever #1, the super catchy girl group classic, "Please Mr. Postman," by The Marvelettes. It doesn't then go on to provide every single #1 from the 60s from there, but the album still spends a little less than a third of its tracklist within that decade, which was a critically important part of Motown's history that the prior compilation really seemed to gloss over.
So, again, no obscurities here whatsoever on this thing, but I think this is the most definitive document of Motown's greatest hits that I've ever come across. And if you want even more #1s, you can take this one in tandem with 20/20: Twenty #1 Hits From Twenty Years at Motown too 😊.
Highlights:
The Marvelettes - "Please Mr. Postman" The Supremes - "Baby Love" The Temptations - "My Girl" The Four Tops - "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)" Diana Ross & The Supremes - "You Can't Hurry Love" The Four Tops - "Reach Out (I'll Be There)" Marvin Gaye - "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" The Jackson 5 - "I Want You Back" The Jackson 5 - "ABC" Diana Ross - "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" The Jackson 5 - "I'll Be There" Smokey Robinson & the Miracles - "Tears of a Clown" The Temptations - "Just My Imagination" Marvin Gaye - "What's Going On" Thelma Houston - "Don't Leave Me This Way" Marvin Gaye - "Got to Give It Up (Part 1)" The Temptations - "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" Eddie Kendricks - "Keep On Truckin'" Stevie Wonder - "Superstition" Rick James - "Give It To Me Baby" Stevie Wonder - "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" Marvin Gaye - "Let's Get It On"

Breaking the status quo with Dean and Cas
(inspired by this post)
Tumblr media
(edit. i've altered this post a bit, the lined over bits and red text, because i dont agree with some of the stuff i've written. mostly just amatonormative bullshit. reminder for everyone, romantic relationships are not better than platonic.)
This was supposed to be a small essay kind of a thing, where I just air my thoughts. It may have gotten out of hands a bit.
Before you read, I just want to make clear, that all of this is just my own opinions and how I have perceived the show. I am not an expert, and all of this is just my theorizing. You may have completely different opinions; this is just my own viewer experience. That said, let’s get into it.
Dean and Cas interactions, from the first time they have shared a scene…tend to be…intense. With all the eye fucking, love confessions without actually saying it, acting like a married couple, and just completely ignoring everything and everybody around them. (Lets all have a moment of silence for all the third wheeling poor Sam has had to endure.) But even with this intense relationship, there is structure, and rules, even if no one has said them aloud. Don’t acknowledge it. As long as Dean assures himself at least three times a day, that he and Cas are the bestest of friends and nothing more, different he can stay comfortably inside the glass booth that he calls a closet. And he can always blame their (not so) platonic relationship gay moments, on Cas being a silly little angel, who doesn’t always get human things. But what happens when the nice structure is broken, or even slightly dislocated. What happens once you break the status quo. Well, don’t ask CW Supernatural, because they don’t want to tell.
In supernatural we see a lot of different versions of the guys. After Cas has been introduced, there is Yellow Fever (04x06) with scared Dean, and It’s a Terrible Life (04x17) with Dean Smith. And though it would be interesting to see Cas and Dean interact in these episodes, Cas has just been introduced, not even supposed to stay for long. It isn’t really until season 5 until Cas starts to be part of these “special episodes”
The End (05x04). In this episode we see a version of Dean and Cas, who have lost almost everything. Happiness is not a part of these guys lives. There is …a lot to say about this episode, but I’m not gonna get into all that now. But in this episode, we see Dean interact with an alternate version of Cas. A Cas who has drowned his life in drugs, booze, and orgies, though it is still clear that this Cas is devout to Dean. I am fairly sure everyone agrees, that endverse!Cas and enverse!Dean, fucked. There’s no way around it. But let’s ignore the obvious gayness between 2014 Cas and Dean. After returning to his own year, and his Cas, Dean places a hand on Cas’s shoulder and tells him to “never change”, while Cas stares at him like a lovestruck teenager. Dean interacting with endverse!Cas and then interacting with 2009 Cas, highlights Dean’s and Cas’s relationship, and how important it is. It is obvious that even though Dean has known this angel for a year, most of which he didn’t even really like him, (even if there was clearly something on both sides) he cares for him already.
Season 7, episode 1. Cas dies. Season 7, episode 17. Emmanuel is introduced. This alternate version of Castiel, is otherwise the same, expect he has no memory of his life before he walked out of the lake, in which he walked at the beginning of the season. But still, from the moment he and Dean meet, they share that something. It’s not quite the same that they used to have, with Cas not even remembering who he is. But still, they share those stares that make even the viewer feel like a third wheel. Deans heartbroken look when Emmanuel introduces his wife (who may or may not look exactly like a female version of Dean, but let’s not get into that) is something I will never forget. Emmanuel himself seems to have no issue with following this green-eyed beauty, that just stabbed someone. Well, I hope Daphne wasn’t too keen on her husband since he will not be returning. Not that anyone bothered to inform her. Dean and Emmanuel have a nice drive, once again, Cas is able to get through Deans walls like they’re made of sand. Sweet. Dean doesn’t want to tell Cas about who he is and what he did. Meg doesn’t quite understand (Karen from 05x15 “I’m gonna go on a limb here and say, you’ve never been in love”) bruh me neither. Yeah…Well. Eventually, Cas gets his memories back, in the format of a beautiful destiel edit. Lovely. Cas remembers, Dean gives Cas his trench coat, that he has been hauling from car to car, because… that’s what good platonic friends tend to do. When their good platonic friend declares themselves to be God and go on a killing spree. And then comes to say sorry. And then dies. Accidentally releasing a bunch of Leviathans on earth. And if the original script was so cheesy gay, that even Jensen and Misha had to put a stop to it. Well, I’m sure writers to that kinda stuff all the time, to good, platonic, friends. (ignore the amatonormative bullshit about what friends can and can't do) because clearly he hasn't moved on from losing cas. it's quite clear that cas means a lot to him at this point, considering their not so fond departure. Yet he carries this relic.
After Emmanuel and Dean have been through their lovely, platonic (stf past me, YES, it could be platonic) reunion, and Cas has saved Sam from his trauma, we get to the part that Supernatural loves doing. Keeping Dean and Cas separated. Especially, the alternate versions of them. The brothers leave Cas into the mental hospital, so that he doesn’t have to be included for a while again. Would’ve been interesting to see Dean take care of Cas, but its understandable. He had his duty, and so on…
Okay, now this is where shit starts to get a bit more annoying. Episode 08x08, Hunter Heroici. Everyone loves it. How could you not. Cas is back from purgatory, and wants to join Dean and Sam. He’s going to be a hunter. Cas deserved to be a fucking hunter if that’s what he fucking wanted, just saying. Anyhow, at the end of the episode, Dean even promises to let Cas ride shotgun. And Cas is about to say yes, but then Naomi interrupts. In the end, Cas decides to stay with the patient they saved. And just…no. Real sweet, but no thank you. Why could we not just have hunter Cas. They are such good, platonic friends. Sharing tight spaces, and spending large amount of time together should be no issue, right? Unless of course that would lead onto something not so platonic…? But of course, there is no way of that happening between Dean and Cas. The bestest of friends. And this is kinda the thing ain't it. None of those are "platonic" or "romantic" or "sexual". But spn is clearly really fucking afraid of something that would happen if they spend too much time together. I wonder what it could be. Yet they love teasing fans with the possibilities. Or should I say baiting.
Also, episode 08x11, LARP and the Real Girl. Y’all know Charlie would’ve called Dean out about his crush, had Cas been in the episode. Also, just Cas and Charlie. We deserved that duo.
Okay boys, girls, enbies, and everyone from around, under and between, buckle up. Because this is a subject I love to cry about. Human Cas. Season 9. It was not necessary to kick Cas out. No, I don’t care about any reasons, or excuses. It was not necessary. Cas is a human; he doesn’t know how to do shit. He needed help (and we all know that Dean would be the one to help him). Cas is such a good platonic friend, there is no reason not to let him stay, right? Then why could he not stay? BeCaUsE eZeKiEl, no shut up. The bunker was supposed to be to most secure place in earth. Wouldn’t that be the place where they all are safe. Cas was human, there was not even any danger with him recognizing Gadreel. So. He. Could. Have. Stayed. But he didn’t. He was kicked out. By Dean. Dean who would’ve died for him. Dean who ran around in purgatory for a year. Just so he could save Cas. Dean the most caring, selfless, loving human being. He just threw Cas out, when he didn’t even know how to…anything. Are you telling me that Dean wouldn’t have made sure that Cas had a house, and money, and food. They didn’t even bother to think about these, they were just so fucking busy getting Cas out of the bunker. So, how I see this, is that had Cas stayed, something gay would’ve happened. And that is something CW does not want. Dean taking care of Cas, teaching him how to do everything. Eat. Sleep. Brushing teeth. Use the shower. The bathroom. And my favorite, dress. He would’ve had a fucking heart attack if he had seen Cas in some actually nice clothes. Good jeans, t-shirt, a flannel, and Dean is done.
I wonder if Cas had been in Dog Dean Afternoon (09x05), would Dean have done something like…lick his face. Smell his ass. Jump against him like some of those big dogs do when their owner comes home. Of course, no, that would’ve been inappropriate. Dean crushing on a fucking dog isn’t though apparently. That is…one of the things I wish I had never seen.
Demon Dean. How much screen time did he get with Cas? Not much. If there is a one thing, I can say for sure it’s that if Demon Dean had spent any more time with Cas, nothing would’ve stopped them from fucking, except maybe Cas’s moral code. And even then, just maybe. Demon Dean used Dean’s feelings and people’s feelings to toy with them. So, he would’ve flirted with Cas. (Even more than Dean usually does.) He would’ve tried to fuck Cas. He would’ve used the fact that he loved Cas, but doesn’t anymore, to taunt him. Or maybe he would’ve pretended to be okay, make a move on Cas, fuck him. And then leave him, after revealing that he’s a demon, and doesn’t really love him. Good potential for some next level angst. Maybe someone should write a fic about that…anyhow.
Another episode where Cas definitely should’ve been 10x05 Fan Fiction. Firstly, cause Misha fucking deserved to be in that episode. Secondly, so much humor potential. Panicky Dean taking Cas to shop for some other clothes after realizing what’s happening. Cas’s reaction to…well everything. All the characters. “I’ll just wait here then”-song. Correcting the plot when its not right. Dean being done with all of Cas’s questions. “Dean, why are the wings like that? My wings do not look like that”. “Dean why are they singing?”, “Dean, what does subtext mean?”, “Dean, what does Destiel mean?”, “I do think Destiel is better than Deastiel. Unless you want it to be Deastiel”, “Dean I don’t like Samstiel”.
Season 11. Have you noticed that when Dean spends time with Casifer, its when Lucifer is pretending to be Cas, or when they’re dealing mainly with Lucifers daddy issues. What I do find interesting that, when Lucifer is not busy with pretending, or Amara, or God, when Dean trapped him, what does he use to taunt Dean? Cas. He mocks the way Dean is so, well, into Cas. Though if I remember right, that’s what Michael did to Cas while possessing Dean. Lying that Dean only spent time with Cas cause he felt like he had to.
Now, this is an episode where once again Cas could’ve easily been in. Ya know it. Regarding Dean. 12x11. This episode goes from funny to depressing faster than the Winchesters start a new apocalypse. We see a version of Dean without the trauma, without the internalized biphobia, without the memories of John calling slurs. Without all the self-hatred. Just, pure, and happy. And had Cas been in this episode, Dean wouldn’t have been afraid to tell him how beautiful his eyes are. He would ask him why he’s standing so close or looking at him. And then Cas would move further and look away. And Dean wouldn’t be afraid to tell him, that he liked it. And when Cas would touch him, he wouldn’t be afraid to ask for him to not stop. And Cas would see Dean forgetting who he is, and he would tell Dean who he is. And with tears in his eyes, he would tell Dean that he is loved. And Dean wouldn’t be afraid to lean over and kiss him.
Now, moving on. Season 13, episode 12. Dean gets a nice dose of love curse, and Sam is not half as surprised to hear that his brother is in love as he is surprised to hear it’s a she. What I would’ve loved to see is how Cas would’ve reacted to see Dean in love with someone. I am 100% sure we would’ve have seen jealous Cas. But what really would have been revealing, I think, would be how differently Dean would treat Cas, when he’s in love with someone else. Not worse, just differently. But maybe he would treat Cas like a friend. Unless of course the love curse wasn’t strong enough to change how Dean felt about Cas. yeah i dont think deans treatment towards cas wouldve changed at all. thats still his best friend. even if he's got (fake) romantic feelings for someone else.
Season 14, episode 4. Mint Condition. This episode has Dean and Sam doing a fun little case, while Cas stays in the bunker with Jack, trying to find a way to heal a dying girl. This side plot was once again…well it had its moments. Like Jack referencing to Cas as one of his dads, absolutely lovely. But it would have been nice to see Cas working on this specific case with the brothers. In this ep, Sam and Dean meet two characters, that are like mirrors for themselves. I would’ve liked to see what kind of mirror Cas would’ve gotten, and how that person would have interacted with Dean’s mirror.
The 13th episode of season 14 is the 300th episode overall. And in this episode a very loved character returns. I am of course talking about season 4 Castiel. Oh, John also pays a visit. Anyhow. In this episode Dean and Sam end up in a fight with Cas, who has no memory of them. This Castiel is a Castiel who never fell. The fight…does not go well for the boys. damn bamf cas is hot... anyway. Before Sam uses the angel banishing sigil, Cas has Dean pinned to the wall, and he is ready to kill him. Dean tries to get through to Cas like he has many times before, except…this time it has no effect. Because this time, Cas is not in love with Dean (or know him, or care for him) … We did not get to see any interaction between John and Castiel. Maybe…it wouldn’t have fit with the whole wholesome family time. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cas had just punched John. Or maybe he’d be just very passive aggressive until Dean’s not around. Then he’d just fucking beat John and tell him everything he hates about him.
Okay, by now I have gone through all the times the status quo has been broken, or they have been kept separate to stop them from fucking once the status quo has been broken. But there is a n episode where Cas deals with an alternate version of Sam. Peace of Mind, season 14 episode 15. While Dean tries to figure out whether Jack still has any soul left, Cas and Sam go to solve a case in a lovely little town. Well, shit happens, Sam turns into a househusband. Cas is disgusted by straights. When I first watched this episode…I got strange vibes. It felt like they had been trying to play into the relationship between Sam and Cas, almost as if to say “Look they’re just like Dean and Cas”, and with that they could prove that Dean and Cas are just friends like Sam and Cas. I mean with the scenes where Sam tries to kill Cas with the angel blade, just to hit it into the ground next to him like Dean had done while being under the influence of the Marc of Cain. “Look they did it too, its not gay!” But honestly, for me it just highlighted how different Cas’s relationship to Dean is from his relationship to Sam. But since Supernatural is what it is, I doubt that that was their intention. The plot is…similar to the Emmanuel plot. Forgetting who you are and getting a wife who will never be mentioned again. When Dean met Emanuel there was of course the whole “I thought you were dead”, and a betrayal on the background of it all. So, it alone makes the situation very different. But the basic idea is similar. Except, it doesn’t feel the same at all. Instead of the heartbroken looks and the sadness of someone losing all memory who they are, this is just…funny. Cas isn’t heartbroken, he’s not jealous, he’s not sad. He is just frustrated. In the café scene where Cas and Sam make a cheap copy of the time MOC!Dean tried to kill Cas, it once again just ends up as a way to show the differences. With the MOC scene Cas lays on the floor, he doesn’t…try, not really. He has accepted what is going to happen. If he is to die by Dean, so be it. He’s not even angry. He just pleads Dean, once. For Dean’s sake. One sad please. And when Dean hits the blade on the book next to Cas’s head, Cas looks at the blade with more love than anyone has ever looked at me. Because Dean did it. He won. He didn’t kill Cas. In the café scene Cas is angry and frustrated. He tries to get through to Sam…for Dean’s sake. Yeah. At the end of the episode, we also find out that Cas likes to gossip to Dean. I wonder how many emojis in the texts he sends Dean was. yeah this episode really does highlight that cas' and sam's relationship is less intense. That doesn't prove anything about any romance between cas and dean tho, just shows that the relationships are different. I think sam and cas could tho have just as intense moments as cas and dean, but reusing deancas moments isnt going to work, cause the relationship is different.
Au Dean and Sam. 15x13. There is one reason why Cas didn’t get a scene with them, and it is because that au Dean was fruity as fuck. Out and Proud tattooed on his back with the bi flag colors (figuratively). And no one would’ve stopped him from flirting with Cas like his life depended on it. And that’s a fact. And when Dean would go all jealous, like he does, Au Dean would think that they’re together. And when he comments on how good of a catch Dean got, Dean’s brain would just log off.
The final time the status quo is broken. Cas breaks the silent rule. Don’t acknowledge it. Despair. Season 15 episode 18. Cas confesses his love for Dean. And for a moment, he is happy, and he has everything. And then Dean, loses everything. All the other times when the status quo has been broken, they have been able to shrug it off. Or keep them apart until they’re back to how they used to be. But this time, there is no backing off. There is no way of saying, it didn’t mean it. No way of not acknowledging at all. Except, if they do what they have always done. Keep them separate. But this time, its not temporary. The damage has been done. Cas is in love with Dean. Cas knows it, and now Dean knows it. And if they share one more scene together, they have to deal with it. And that is not something CW wants to do…so they keep them separate. They don’t even talk about Cas, because all of that, has a whole different meaning now. They can’t pretend it doesn’t, not anymore. And therefore (omitted).
If you read this whole thing, then…damn. Well done, I hope you enjoyed reading over 3000 words of me losing my mind. I apologies for any possible mistakes, English isn’t my first language, so if there’s something I missed, sorry. I really enjoyed writing this, and I think I might write more at some point. I might want to write a longer piece about just Lebanon and how gay the whole episode was, but we’ll see. If you have anything you want me to write about, tell me and I might do it. But for now, thanks and goodnight.
i still agree with most of my points, but i just wanted to clarify my thoughts a bit better. There is nothing between dean and cas in the show that is clear proof that there are romantic feelings between them. there might not. all the things they have done could easily be out of deep platonic love. What we can say for sure is, that they care for each other deeply (and that cas is gay for dean cause misha confirmer). The point that i make in this point is that there is clearly this awareness from the writers, about the queernes of this relationship. That shows in camera angles, lighting choises, music choises, storylines that in straight cases would be automatically categorized as romantic (even if they're not). And this constant baiting of fans with plotlines that would promise this breaking of status quo, just to separate them from each other for some? reason. The writers were well aware, everyone was aware for fucks sake, and they used that to bait queer viewers, or any viewers who hoped for a queer love story.
