If we were to lean more into the cat aspect of cat humanoids, we'd have a species that is so ambiguous regarding their appearance that the only way to know for sure which sex they are is by getting your hands into their health records and even then there's a high margin for error. Their behaviour wouldn't give anything out either because cats don't give a shit about masculine or feminine behaviour.

Does this post come from my inner need to see a feline Bruce Wayne/Batman with a very confused and flustered Clark Kent/Superman who has no idea whether or not Bruce is flirting with him and who has no idea which gender the person in question is? Maybe.

Also no, Superman's ability to basically see the skeleton of a person wouldn't be of any help, majority of the skeletons that are found in archaeology are being assigned genders purely based on items they were buried with.

Also I want to see Clark react to Bruce beating up Lex for him as a present before realising that maybe Superman would rather have something else as a present than a barely alive supervillain.

He then starts to gift him stuff like expensive song birds in golden cages because all Bruce knows is that Clark is from the countryside and thus probably likes the sound of birds singing. Clark on the otherhand is having trouble with choosing a placement for all those god damn birds and- he just gifted him another one didn't he.
