I have to say one thing that I do just love about OUAT is that all the men is the show are so obsessed with their significant others. Fanfiction _ Once Upon a Time

Fictober 2022/ Prompt #8: “Do you remember?”

Author’s note: Spoilers if you haven’t seen the series.

The day of Emma’s wedding had finally arrived, and Mary Margaret couldn’t have been happier. Even with another dark curse looming over them her heart remained full of hope for her daughter’s future. After all, Emma was the savior.

“Do you remember?” David asked, adjusting his tux. He turned from the full length mirror, smiling at his own bride. “Do you remember the day of our wedding?”

Mary Margaret smiled, walking over to help him with his bow tie. “Which one? If I recall correctly there were two.”

David’s smile never faltered, but his eyes reflected the sadness he felt. His wedding day. The same day his mother had died. It was such a bitter sweet memory; he was incredibly thankful his mother had been present, thankful Snow had been cured of her infertility curse, and thankful he’d been able to finally marry the woman of his dreams. The day was heavy with emotion in his memory, and while his mother’s passing was peaceful it still grieved David he’d been unable to save her.

When they’d chosen to have an “official” wedding the Evil Queen had done her best to ruin that, as well. And now Emma…

Mary Margaret watched her husband in the mirror, certain he was reliving the pain with the joy. “It would be nice if we could have our happily ever after without interruption,” she said, speaking his thoughts aloud.

“It would,” he confirmed, turning around to take her hands in his. “But there was a time when I thought I’d never see you again, when you were lost to me forever.”

“You always find me,” she said, raising his hands to her lips. “Always.”

“And I always will. But there were times when I was truly afraid I’d lost you forever. So even though our wedding wasn’t perfect - ,” he began.

“It was perfect,” she told him.

He laughed, leaning forward to kiss her forehead. “Even though it wasn’t without… incident,” he caught her grin, “we were finally doing the thing I’d wanted to do since I first met you.”

Mary Margaret’s lips curled to the side. “I thought that was kiss me.”

David cupped her cheek, and she nuzzled against him. “That, too.”

“Peter!” Y/n yells out as she’s grabbed by the Evil Queen with a ball of magic near her face.

“Regina.” MarryMargret worried for the young girl currently being held in Regina's tight hold with a magic ball of purple flames near her face.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” Peter growled with narrowed eyes once he turned towards where his lost girl called for him in distress.

“Give us back Henry and I won’t hurt your little lost girl.” Regina bargained.

“Regina, we don't need to threaten anyone.” Emma spoke up telling Regina, looking at the young girl a couple years older than their Henery.

“I agree Lass. Not a good idea. Especially not a good idea to threaten her specifically.” Hook stepped forward gesturing with his hook to the girl in Regina’s grip.

“And why’s that Pirate?” Regina rolled her eyes at all the pleading to let the Y/h/c-ed girl go.

“She’s not just a lost girl. She’s Pan’s lost girl.” Hook stated to the Evil Queen.

“No duh.” Regina scoffed.

“What KIllian means is she is mine. Let go of her. Now.” Peter walks closer getting increasingly more angry every minute Y/n was still being held against her will.

“Or what?” Regina gripped Y/n tighter, testing Pan’s limits and to see if he’s bluffing.

“You’ll regret it.” Peter grumbled with a really dark look on his face. “Don’t forget this is my island and your son’s life is in my hands. What do you think I’ll do if you hurt my Y/n?”

“Regina” MaryMargaret pleads for her to let the girl go, trying to sound more stern. Not wanting to have Peter hurt Henery in any way as retaliation.

“Let her go.” David added with worried eyes for them, Henry, and Y/n. KNowing what Regina is capable of, they were all worried for Y/n.

Regina sighed and loosened her grip on Y/n and the second Peter noticed he grabbed his lost girl and pulled her into him.

“Don’t lay a finger on her again.” Peter practically snarled at the StoryBrooke gang and he checked Y/n over for injuries. Before giving the signal for them all to retreat.

“Thank you.” Y/n turned around to look back at Emma, Hook, David and MaryMargret with an innocent smile.

Peter smiled at her manners, that's his Y/n. And it was entertaining to see their shocked faces at her thanks.

some snowstorm thoughts ...

dany consistently has groups of three in her storyline (her three dragons, the three fires, mounts, and treasons she's told by the warlocks in qarth, "the dragon must have three heads") so let's talk about how jon comes into her life as another part of a group of 3: her 3rd husband and the 3rd man to get her with child

it's very likely that somehow, hizdahr is going to be thrown out of the picture, leaving dany a widow yet again. jon's storyline is leading towards him re-taking the winterfell/the north, where he will likely become king in the north or take up another similar title. now, since marriage is the best way to make alliances, and jon "might as well wish for another thousand men, and maybe a dragon or three" (asos, jon viii) a jon/daenerys marriage works for the both of them, as dany secures the loyalty of the largest of the seven kingdoms and a consort who will forever be faithful to her and jon gets the love of his life plus the key to defeating the others (dany, ofc)

dany lost rhaego, and it's believed by many readers that she was pregnant and miscarried after drogon carried her away from daznak's pit - "She was bleeding, but it was only woman's blood. The moon is still a crescent, though. How can that be? She tried to remember the last time she had bled. The last full moon? The one before? The one before that? No, it cannot have been so long as that." (adwd, daenerys x)

so along comes jon, her third and final husband and the third and final man who she will conceive a child with, but this time, that child will finally live. now it can be debated that this is because mirri's curse isn't real or because the magic in both jon and dany's blood overcomes the magic of the curse, but in the end, we are getting that snowstorm baby and the continuation of the targaryen dynasty 🐉❤️
