as your eyes glided shut, a calm smile appeared on your face. you recited your deepest desire inside your head, knowing exactly what you’d ask for after spending endless nights thinking about it.

sunghoon let you blow out the candles before squeezing you tight against his chest. he pressed a firm kiss to your temple and made sure to make it as dramatic as possible. “happy birthday, pretty. what did you wish for?”

with a laugh, you turned around in his hold, pecking his nose unexpectedly just to see his eyes widen. “i’m not telling you,” you deflated. “it would ruin the wish.”

your boyfriend smiled and leaned his face closer to yours, gripping your waist securely. “c’mooon! not even a hint?” the young man’s whines distracted you, allowing him to dip a finger into the icing of your cake.

“not even a hint.” you repeated, lovingly staring at the dimples carved on his skin, and the protruding pointy fangs.

he hummed with a shrug, “shame.” and before you knew it, he swiped his index across both your cheekbones, lips on yours. sunghoon kissed you gently, moving his mouth in a slow pace. after a brief moment, he pulled away. “are you going to tell me about it now?”

blinking up at him in surprise, you took in a breath. “maybe with a few more kisses i’ll start talking.”

and so he complied, cake long forgotten as he unknowingly fulfilled your birthday wish.
