Hellcheer Moodboard: The Little Merman

Eddie yearns to see what the surface world is like. When a great shadow briefly covers the moon above, he swims up to see a grand ship in the middle of a birthday celebration. He sees many on board, but the only one he focuses on is princess Chrissy. He's completely smitten and watches her dance with her friends. Suddenly, a violent storm erupts and everyone hurries to the lifeboats. However, Chrissy sees that her dog is still trapped, so she quickly hurries and successfully saves her dog. She ends up trapped and left to drown in the unforgiving waters. Eddie saves her and returns her to shore, singing a song of hope that maybe they could be together. This interest in the human world catches the undead eyes of Vecna, a being of great power whose magic can make anyone's dream come true; but not without a price.

the hardest part about being a hellcheer writer (and in the fandom in general) is that I will sometimes reference or see references to very specific pieces of media that I’ll then, at one point or another, see in the wild
