Which of the many traumatic events of my current year should I reveal for online engagement?
(not unlike the intersectional trauma of interviewing for more cash)

I am currently obsessed with all of Dorian Electra's music (like literally listening to every album straight through to get through work)(I am worried for my Spotify wrapped) so I drew a bunch of costumes from their music videos.
There’s a few instances in Fanfare that feel extremely Mindless Self Indulgence to me, and I mean that in the best way!
After I learned about all the completely heinous and awful stuff Jimmy has done I completely cleared my music library from all of MSI’s music (along with any other songs Jimmy had touched or been featured in) but I grew up on MSI and I really adored their sound (and I haven’t heard any similar bands to this day to replace them) so the tiny bells in my brain that are rung with certain parts of songs like Lifetime are incredibly welcome lol
I’m just happy to have little parts of music that feel similar to MSI without it being related to such a god awful human lol
I’m all for antagonism, for riling up the right people for the right causes – and Dorian Electra certainly does plenty of that, poking fun at those with backward views about sexuality, gender and so on. The problem with Fanfare is that the actual songs – their hooks, structures, writing, features – simply aren’t particularly compelling. I really want to get more out of Electra’s music, but I haven’t had much to dig into since their debut.
