I dyed my frostbite armor pink so it could match the Cece hat.

Four-year-old Night Stalker wakes up, dons a flophat, begins working at the crematorium, and chooses violence. Big day for such a little guy!
Speaking of violence, Magic Man and Fracturedivine did some damage of their own to poor Flea, who wound up in our small hospital with a few bitten-off toes. Nice work, M.M.?
Buckeye is being strange, and it made me wonder if she has some sort of psychic link to her un-sprouted child that gives her pregnant lady mood swings.
Euclid continues to be the best tailor I've ever had in a colony.
I imagine cooking back-to-back with someone who has massive wings and a long prehensile tail is uncomfortable at best, and downright impossible at worst. Blackdragon seems to be making the best of it, though.
I've been doodling the mechanitor from the next run on everything, and getting the Archonexus popup in the wrong colony amused me.
Then finally, we had some heartfelt reunions as visitors came to see us. We're going to see if we can recruit Mr Zannakos (Vasso's dad) and Synesthete (Socks' wife) before the guests leave. It will upset their faction, but family reunions are more important, dammit!!

A child had a bag of candy at work today and he was so excited about it he kept asking everyone to guess how many candies were in the bag. He was very intrigued by the scale so we let him weigh whatever he wanted and the bag of candy was 0.94lbs so I asked him if that means there could be 94 candies (his guess was 20, mine was 30 I believe) and the sheer joy on this little child’s face at the mere notion, he said it was impossible but the slimmest chance there could be 94 little gummy candies in that bag made his day. He was so excited to count the candies as soon as he got back to the car. I wonder how many candies there were. Anyway be nice to children they just want to weigh bags of candy and imagine a world where their parents give them a bag of 94 candies.

I just finished The City We Became by NK Jemisin and I already want to dive into book 2, The World We Make, so, so bad, because, shit, living cities, intertextuality, myths passed down in history, Lovecraftian monsters, queer and poc main characters, vibrant language, modern, rhythmic style? Totally my jam, yeah, that's what I live and breathe for, and I need the next story now. But also it's close to 6am and sure, it's Sunday, and sure, I'm super jobless and only thing on my agenda is finding a goddamn job, but just because my life has less direction than a car without a wheel, doesn't mean that I should encourage my self-destructive tendencies by jumping into another 400 pages book right now... Right? Right? Just a chapter. Just a chapter and I'll go to bed... One chapter. (every bookworm around the world, laughing at me: yeah, sure, sister. One chapter. We believe you. Have fun not sleeping.)

The greatest man is he who chooses the right with the most invincible resolution; who resists the sorest temptation from within and without; who bears the heaviest burdens cheerfully; who is calmest in storms, and most fearless under menaces and frowns; whose reliance on truth, on virtue, and on God is most unfaltering.
— Seneca the Younger
