*gif is mine!
a/n: so this came out of nowhere but i’m excited about it and there will be a part 2!!! i fucking missed writing for angel, so much so i may or many not open my requests back up again! keep an eye out for part 2 though!
Part 1
To say you were miserable was a gross understatement. And you couldn't even be mad about it because this was your doing. You were the reason you were wallowing everyday. You were the reason you had to take care of your own needs with a vibe that was nowhere near what you wanted. You were the maker of your own misery. But then again, were you really? Angel fucking Reyes should be the one to blame. When you first started dating Angel, everything was perfect, isn’t it always though? You were happier than you had ever been and honestly, you two were jumping each other's bones whenever you could. Up until a few months ago that was.
Suddenly Angel just couldn’t make time anymore, always busy with the club. You knew with being secretary came a lot more responsibilities, and you were extremely proud of him and happy that he was able to move up in the club. What you weren’t happy about was the canceled dates. Hell, sometimes he wouldn’t even come over to spend the night, opting to stay at the club house in his dorm because he was taking care of shit as he liked to put it. You had grown exhausted waiting for him at restaurants and then looking stupid as you had to tell the waiters your date wasn’t showing up. You were exhausted of the food you put an effort into making going to waste because he wouldn’t show and when he did even the leftovers went untouched because he already ate. You were exhausted from the effort and time you put into stopping by the clubhouse, figuring if he couldn’t come to you that you’d go to him. But even those occasions were met with his quick words of I can’t hang out right now, club shit. So eventually you just had enough. He wasn’t putting in any effort and you deserved more than that. Deserved more than a few measly texts a day that didn’t even contain a simple I love you. And you told him as much when you went to the clubhouse for the sole purpose of getting your key back to your apartment and to tell him you were through. Lord knows if you tried to schedule a time to talk it would’ve inevitably gotten canceled.
“Hey, sweetheart. Looking for Angel?” Ez had asked you as you pulled into the junkyard and exited your car. He was wiping grime off his hands with a cloth, looking like he was fixing up the bikes.
“Yup. I’ll spoil the surprise for you now but I’m here to dump your brother.” You were annoyed to say the least, at your wits end with the older Reyes. You were also honestly a little mad at yourself for not doing this sooner. Could’ve saved you from looking pathetic out in public a few times.
Ez’s eyes widened and he scratched the back of his neck.
“Jesus, What happened?” He asked, taking on a sympathetic tone. You loved Ezekiel like your own brother. He was always looking out for you and had become a great friend since you started dating Angel. Which is why you could only hope you two could remain friends even after this.
“I got tired of showing up for someone who isn’t willing to do the same.” You shrugged and then walked toward the house. Once inside you spotted Angel immediately, sitting on the couch with a beer in his hand as he talked with Coco and Gilly. So this was what he was doing instead of making time for you. They looked over at your presence and Angel stood up, a smile on his face.
“Hey, querida. What are you doing here?” He said, pulling you into him and pressing a kiss to your temple. Honestly, it was more affection than you had gotten all month. You didn’t make any move to lean into him.
“We need to talk.” Is all you said before Coco and Gilly awkwardly shared a look.
“I’m a little busy, mam–”
“Yeah, life as secretario looks so fucking busy.” You snapped and he backed away to look at you. His face contorted in confusion and anger.
“The fuck?” And that was Coco and Gilly’s cue to go outside, leaving just you and Angel.
“I need my key back to my apartment.” You stated, getting right into it. Trying to mask what you were really feeling. This was already hurting like a bitch despite the trajectory of your relationship recently. You loved Angel, you really did. But you loved yourself enough to know that you didn’t deserve putting in your all in this relationship as he gave you nothing in return.
“Come again?” He set his bottle down and gave you all his attention. That was a first.
“My key. Give it back. I’m done with this.” You motioned between you two. You were being a little more petty than you wanted to be. Originally you had planned to just have a civil conversation about leaving him but he couldn’t even extend that courtesy with his shit poor excuses so why should you? Besides, there was nothing civil about you and Ange Reyes.
“Wait, what the fuck are you talking about?” He was angry, now getting the gist of what you were doing.
“You heard me. We’re done. Give me my key back.” Angel shook his head and ran his hand through his hair.
“Fuck no. I’m not giving you shit back, we’re not done. The fuck are you talking about? Where’s this shit coming from?” Of course it was just like Angel to try and control the situation, act like he was in charge.
“You’re really asking me why?” You honestly don’t know how he could see this as a blindside. Honestly, he should be surprised you didn’t dump his ass sooner.
“Mami, stop playing fucking games.” He stepped closer, eye simmering with rage. How ironic.
“Angel, when was the last time we fucked?” You asked, trying to figure out how to gauge this conversation. Some part of you did want to just dump him and then leave, offering no explanation because the angry part of you felt like he didn’t deserve one. But maybe by explaining it you were doing a solid for the next girl that would come after you. Your heart restricted at the thought. Your stomach filling with lead. You pushed that away, now was not the time to sit in your grief, right now you were controlled by your anger and your disappointment.
“Wha–I don’t know…” He trailed off thinking. Probably confused by your question and what it had to do with you leaving him.
“Exactly. Angel, you’ve barely touched me this past month and I don’t have enough fingers to count how many times I’ve been stood up by you these past few weeks alone. You’re never around, Angel.” You pointed out. You felt your nose start to burn and you mentally cursed yourself for wanting to cry. You were supposed to put on this facade, you were supposed to act like you weren’t deeply devastated at the fact that you had to do this in the first place. But you were, sitting in your anger was only going to get you so far until that simmered out and the pain creeped in.
“I told you I–”
“Your busy, yeah, I got that.” You quipped. He tried to grab your hand but you pulled it away and he scoffed.
“You serious right now? I miss a few dates and you want to leave me? Nah, that’s not how this works. You talk to me about it.”
“Talk? Are you fucking serious? When could I have talked to you, hmm? I’ve made plans with you three times this week alone and you flaked on all of them, it's not even fucking Friday. So when could I have talked to you? You don’t fucking care.”
He stepped up to you and pointed at you, “do not say I don’t fucking care.” He was pissed, just now realizing the gravity of the situation. Just now realizing you weren’t fucking around. You were glad for it, maybe he’d take it seriously now.
“You don’t. If you cared I wouldn’t be up late at night wondering if you’re okay because you didn’t bother to shoot me a text. If you cared I wouldn’t look like an idiot to half the fucking waiters in this town because you didn’t bother to show up. If you cared, Angel, I wouldn’t have to touch myself at night because my own man can’t bother to please me.” You knew you were getting through to him during your spiel but his stare turned murderous when you questioned his abilities to please you. Of course that was what got his attention.
“The fuck you just say to me?” He towered over you now but you weren’t going to let him intimidate you. You were in charge of this situation, not him.
“Which part needs repeating? When I said you keep standing me up or the part where I said you don’t please me in bed?” You fired back. Gone was the grief again, your rage taking its turn to control you once again. Your emotions were all over the place but so were you and Angel.
“Careful, mami.” He said, voice low and threatening. You snorted.
“Why? Afraid your club will hear how you don’t know how to please a woman.” Next thing you know you were being shoved against the wall. Breath knocked out of you at the quick and forceful action. His hand latched onto your throat now. Your center throbbed, like a call to tell you that you needed this. You definitely didn’t want to but your fingers only did so much.
It was all shit, Angel did know how to please you, that is when he could be bothered. But you knew how to press his buttons just right, how to make him angry like no one else could. And you wanted him upset, you wanted him angry because he had hurt you.
“You know that’s not true. Had you screaming last time.” He said in your ear as he trailed his hands down your waist and to your ass. Pulling you closer to him to grind himself against you. You swallowed hard. You had missed his touch, had missed him being this close. Your senses were going haywire, not knowing which way was up or down, not knowing what the fuck you were here to do in the first place. All you could feel was him, all you could smell was him. All you wanted was him. But you knew right now you were thinking with your pussy and just because you wanted him still did not mean you didn’t want to break up with him. But your vibrator and fingers were doing a shit job at giving you what you needed, and well, if this was the end, you needed the release only Angel could provide you with. Despite you telling him only moments ago that he offered nothing in bed.
“Maybe I was faking it.” You weren’t. You couldn’t fake reaching literal heaven every time Angel sank inside you. But he didn’t deserve to hear that right now. He squeezed your throat, bringing you a sense of euphoria.
“Faking it? Yeah, let’s see you fake this, mami.” He unbuttoned your jeans and slid his hand inside your panties. You cursed yourself for being so wet already.
“You wet because you’re faking it?” He asked, lips right at your ear. His warm breath sent shivers down your spine and caused your core to clench around nothing. He felt it though. He laughed under his breath and you wanted to slap him for being so cocky after everything. But it wouldn’t matter once this was over. You’d let him have his fun now. Let him think he was in control one last time.
“I don’t think so. You’re always wet for me, always so damn needy. Always so fucking ready to take me.” He turned you around and pushed you against the wall, pulling at your hips for your ass to grind against his crotch. His dick was already hard and straining in his pants. You let out a moan. You didn’t care that you were out in the open, didn’t care that his words pissed you off mostly because they were true. Didn’t care that this was going to be the last time. No, all you cared about in this moment was getting Angel inside you and coming around his cock.
“Then fuck me, Angel. Prove you can actually please me.” You spurred him on. Needing your release already. Craving it.
“My fucking pleasure.” He said, obviously not in the mood to drag this on any longer. He made quick work of yanking your jeans and panties down and you heard him fumbling with his own pants. You felt the tip of his cock slide against your slit, getting himself slicked for you with your juices. You moaned as the head nudged against your clit. Your body was on fire. The white hot need inside you, pooling in your stomach, was screaming for a release. And you were about to get one.
“Fuck me already. Or did you forget how to do it?” You wanted it rough and hard, wanted him to leave bruises on your hips and feel you ache of him days later. You wanted something to remember him by.
“Shut the fuck up.” Was all he said before slamming into you, filling you up. You screamed at the force and at how long it had been since he was last inside you. The stretch hurt so good and you pushed against the wall to meet his brutal thrusts. He wrapped a hand around your throat again as he dug his fingers into your hips, forcing you on his length over and over.
“So fucking tight. This what you wanted, mami? So fucking desperate for my cock?” You whined at his words because they were true. But you didn’t want to admit it.
“I want it harder actually.” You were hanging on by a thread here. All that pent up frustration from spoiled orgasms from your fingers to hating Angel for leaving you high and dry. It was all coming together to create a thunderous symphony of emotions, one that was about to hit its crescendo.
Angel didn’t disappoint as he pounded you from behind, trying to reach his release as desperately as you were trying to reach yours. The hand that was on your throat immediately made way to your clit.
“Fuck, Angel.” You cried out as he rubbed the numb, never relenting in his pace. Tears were forming in your eyes. From the stimulation or from the breakup that was still going to happen, you didn’t know. All you knew right now was Angel.
“Fuck, yeah. Gonna come, mami? Gonna come on my dick?” You grabbed his arm to roll your hips both on his fingers and back onto his cock. Pleasure was hitting you from all angles and you were about to break. You clenched down on him, wanting him to reach his release too. Wanting to feel him fill you up.
“Oh fuck!” He yelled out as you clenched around him. He bit your shoulder to control himself and you groaned at the sting that accompanied his bite. It was all too much and not enough. Which was sign enough that you were right on the precipice.
“Gonna come.” You barely got the words out, mind too wrapped up in literally everything else. Everywhere Angel was touching.
“Do it. Let me hear you.” He rubbed just right on the bundle of nerves as his cock pistoned inside you and you were done for. You dived right off that cliff. Your back arched as you screamed his name. Your vision went black for a moment as you fucking drowned in your high. Angel diving right in after you as you felt him spill inside you and curse your name. You finally came back to the present, catching your breath as the aftershocks of your orgasm started to fade in waves. You suddenly became aware of the situation again. Became aware of why you were here. As mind blowing as that climax was, it didn’t change anything. You turned around as you lifted your pants back up, Angel doing the same. Once he finished buttoning them you pulled him in for a kiss. Putting everything you had into it, what was left of your energy. He kissed you back with the same intensity and you cursed him because this was all you had been asking for. For him to love you, for him to give you something. But he didn’t and this was not going to change anything.
As his tongue slipped into your mouth, you slid your hand into his back pocket and pulled out his keys and pulled away from him. He was confused until you backed up from him and started to unhook your key from his key ring.
“What the fuck….” Of course he was confused, of course he thought sex was going to fix this. You pushed the keys against his chest and he held your hand against his chest, realizing what was happening, what was still happening.
“No…” He shook his head, realization dawning on him that the sex was one last sweet release before you left. A goodbye. Not a makeup.
“Don’t do this shit. Don’t do this to me, baby.” He shook his head, eyes glossy. Words breaking. Your heart cracked, gone was the intense high he just gave you and instead there you were, right back in the low of it all.
“You did this to yourself, Angel. Goodbye.” You swallowed hard and tugged your hand out of his grasp, he let out a breath. You turned around and walked out the door with your head high. Walked out leaving him behind to deal with what just happened. Walked out and into the shit storm that was going to be the next few weeks of getting over one Angel Reyes.

The air was warm still despite the fact that the sun had set a little while before. It was just you and Angel sitting on the back steps at his house. There wasn’t a whole lot to see back there, but it was nice to not be looking directly into the next row of houses. You were mirroring each other’s position—leaning forward with your forearms resting on your knees, beer bottle loosely held in your hands. Neither of you had said anything for a little bit, content to just listen to the sound of the wind blowing and the scattered noises of whatever critters were brave enough to come out at night in Angel’s edge-of-civilization neighborhood.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been somewhere so quiet,” you finally broke the silence.
He chuckled, “Oh yea?”
You nodded, taking a sip of your beer before continuing, “Moved from one apartment complex to the next with my family growing up. Traded in one city for another over and over again. It was never quiet—there was always some kind of chaos happening.”
“There’s still chaos,” he smiled and playfully bumped your shoulder with his.
You laughed, “I guess. Just, you know, different kind of chaos. It’s nice to not have chaos at home.”
Your tone was light enough but he could see the faraway look in your eyes and he knew that you were thinking about all the different homes and lives you lived growing up before you somehow landed in Santo Padre. Truthfully, he had always wondered how it came to be, but he never had the courage to ask.
“Hey,” he started, a tentative hesitation in his voice, “I was, uh, thinkin’ tha—”
His sentence was cut short by the sound of your gasp, followed by you eagerly setting your beer bottle off to the side and jumping up off the steps. His brows furrowed in confusion as he stood and followed you down off the steps, his long legs easily and quickly closing the distance that you’d put between the two of you. The dew on the short, unkept lawn slicked the bottoms of your bare feet but you didn’t care. Angel saw the smile on your face as you headed towards the tree-line and stood back to watch what you did.
“This is gonna sound stupid,” you were speaking to him despite the fact that you weren’t turning around to face him, “but I’ve never actually seen these in real life.”
“Seen what?”
“Fireflies,” you got closer to the edge of his tiny little yard as you tried to guess where the little creature was going to blink next.
“Really?” he sounded genuinely shocked.
“Something tells me that they hate the city chaos as much as I do,” you chuckled as you reached, trying to cup one in your hands and failing.
“EZ and I used to catch these little fuckers all the time when we were kids,” he found his place next to you.
“Yea?”
He nodded, “Yea. For the longest time I wanted him to smush one and use it as face paint on me but he never did.”
You laughed and shoved him lightly, “That’s awful!” you paused, “Why didn’t you just do it?”
“’Cause that’s fuckin’ gross. I don’t want dead bug all over my hands,” he chuckled.
“Just all over your face?” you raised an eyebrow, shaking your head before returning to the task at hand, “How’d you do it?”
“What?”
“Catch them.”
You could see the focus take over his features as he looked around, trying to find one, “Gotta try and see their fat little bodies when they aren’t lit up,” he brought his hands up, expertly cupping them around something that you couldn’t quite see, “Because if you try to catch them when they blink they’re already gonna be gone.”
He nodded for you to come closer as he lowered his delicately cupped hands. A smile spread across his face when he saw the excitement in your eyes. He partially opened his hands at the top so you could peek in, your eyes lighting up as you watched the tiny creature blink inside the enclosed space of his large hands.
“Wanna hold it?”
You shook your head, “I wanna catch my own.”
He smiled, nodding his head, “Alright,” he opened up his hands and it took off into the night, blinking every so often as it got farther and farther away.
Angel was content to stand back and watch you walk back and forth along the perimeter of the little plot of land that passed for his backyard. He crossed his arms over his chest, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips as you tried again and again to catch one of the little bugs. Each time you came so close, but not quite close enough to succeed. He noticed that you weren’t getting frustrated, though. And, honestly, he had the feeling that you had completely tuned out the rest of the world. He could’ve been trying to talk to you the entire time and you wouldn’t have heard a single thing.
He heard the snapping of a twig underneath your foot and realized that you were halfway into the trees on your expedition. The thought of you running barefoot through the little spit of woods was entertaining, but the last thing he wanted to happen was you splitting your foot open on something. He walked over and slid his hand into yours, giving you a slight tug and bringing you back to reality.
You allowed him to back you up a little bit before picking a new target to focus on, one that hopefully wouldn’t evade you like the last few had. Your eyes had adjusted better to the darkness, and you figured this was going to be your best shot at it.
You slowly crept up on one, like the sound of you was what was going to scare it away. Angel was biting back a chuckle as he watched you crouch slightly, feet moving slowly and deliberately across his lawn. You spread your arms wide, hands cupped in the optimal bug-catching position. Your face was contorted in focus as you slowly but surely brought your hands closer together.
Connecting your hands, you gasped as you spun back around to Angel, a giant smile on your face as you ran over to him, nearly slipping and falling in the process. He chuckled as you skidded to a stop in front of him, practically bouncing on the balls of your feet.
“I think I got it!”
“Take a look, querida,” his tone was softer than you expected it to be given your excitement in the situation.
You opened your hands just the slightest bit, and were greeted with the yellow glint of the firefly in your hands. You squealed, cupping your hands back together. You looked at Angel expectantly, “Do you have a jar I could put it in?”
He smiled, “I’ll see what I got,” he pressed a light kiss to the side of your head before walking back towards the house.
He reemerged a minute later with a mason jar and a paper plate. He held the jar out to you, “Put it in here, then I’ll flip it and set it on the plate.”
You nodded, trying very carefully to get the bug into the jar without it flying away. You quietly clapped your hands together when Angel flipped the jar over and set it on the surface of the little table on the deck. You immediately sat down, crossing your arms on the table and resting your chin on them. Angel sat down across from you, elbow propped and chin set in the palm of his hand as he watched you watch the firefly.
It flitted around the jar, not landing, but not bumping into the sides either. Angel saw the wonder in your eyes and while he found it endearing, he also felt a heaviness settling on his chest that he couldn’t quite explain. There was an innocence in your expression and your excitement that directly juxtaposed itself with all the things he knew that you were capable of, things that you probably had to go through to get to the point where you were at now.
“So what did you do?” he finally asked.
“Hm?” you raised your eyebrows but kept your gaze fixed on the bug in the jar.
“In the city. What’d you do for fun as a kid?”
Your eyes flicked over to him for a moment, trying to gauge his emotion, “Not a hell of a lot,” you answered honestly.
Your mind flashed back to tiny little one-bedroom apartments, loud neighbors, sirens blaring down the street. It was hot, but not the way it was in Santo Padre—back then the heat felt heavy, and filthy. You had nowhere to go, nothing to do but wait for something else to happen that made you all pack up and move to the next place that felt exactly like all the others.
Angel saw the tears gathering in your eyes and he knew that you didn’t notice them. He could see it in your eyes that you were somewhere else entirely as your eyes followed the bug inside the jar. He didn’t know what to say, if he was even supposed to say anything in a moment like that. He was about to reach out and rest his hand on your arm when you sat upright, shaking your head slightly as you blinked away the tears.
You could see it on his face that he was going to try having a conversation about it all, but you weren’t up for that just yet. You watched the firefly in the jar for a few more seconds before placing your hand on the bottom of the jar, curling your fingers around it. Taking a deep breath, you lifted it up and watched as the small bug found its way out and took off, leaving nothing but a trial of blips in its wake.
Something resembling a smile was tugging at the corners of your mouth as you set the jar back down. You drummed your fingers along the glass sides, lost in thought again. Angel watched as each emotion crossed your face, and he wished that he could get a glimpse of what was going on inside your head.
“It’s alright, you know,” he said, dragging you back to the present.
“What?”
“You can…you can be honest with me. If shit wasn’t good you can tell me that. You’re not gonna scare me off. I get that family can be…rough.”
You chuckled dryly, “Rough. Right.”
He could see your walls going back up and he knew that there was no getting to the bottom of it tonight. Reaching, he placed his hand on top of yours and gave it a light squeeze, “I’m glad you made it here.”
You could tell by the look in his eyes that he was being sincere. Taking your other hand, you placed it over his, “I’m glad too.”
“If you think that catching fireflies is fun,” Angel smiled as he shook his head, “One time EZ came home with a whole fuckin’ hare.”
“A what?”
“A hare. Ears were this big I fuckin’ swear,” he held his hands dramatically far apart to indicate the size the animal’s ears has been.
You laughed, shaking your head, “I don’t believe you.”
“Ask him next time you see him,” he got up and grabbed both of your beer bottles from the step and handing yours to you before drinking from his own, “Pops was pissed.”
“I can imagine,” you smiled.
As you listened to Angel tell you other stories of antics that he and his little brother got into, you felt the heaviness of your own memories beginning to subside for the time being. It was easy to get lost in the way that Angel’s eyes crinkled slightly when he laughed and smiled, the way that he spoke with his hands. You pressed the bottle to your lips as you listened, your eyes straying every now and then to the fireflies flitting around in the background, blinking in and out of existence.

Stingy
Pairing: Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes x Black!OC
Summary: EZ has a problem sharing and his girl, Monique is quite over it.
Warning(s): Some angst with a fluff ending
Word count: 2,552
AN: Ahhhh my first EZ fic. Based on a request I received from the lovely @ly--canthrope with an assist coming from Ginuwine’s Stingy. Thank YOU so much for your patience and encouraging words. I hope you enjoy this xo
Tumblr media
You can say I'm tripping but I'm stingy And I can't hide it Wanna keep you all to me I'm selfish, why try to fight it?
An abandoned episode of Girlfriends played on the tv in the background as a woman sat straddling EZ’s lap as the two made out. His hands were rubbing up and down her sides under her shirt and her hands were gripping his face. One of her favorite things to do was kiss her boyfriend. She loved that they could just get lost in each other and it was the perfect opener for the mindblowing sex that was coming.
The familiar ringtone and buzz from her phone’s vibration echoed against the coffee table as she received a text message. She pulled away from the kiss and turned her head, trying to see if she could read the message from her position. She felt EZ stiffen, his hands moving down her hips to grip her thigh.
“I swear to God, Monique.” EZ began, feeling himself become annoyed. He can’t even enjoy her company at home without being interrupted. He’s tried so hard to be understanding, but that selfish part of him was fed up. The opening of Galindo’s company really put into perspective how often he misses time with her.
As Miguel’s assistant she had a very big hand in putting the opening celebration together. She’d been Miguel’s assistant for a couple years now. Her mother was a close confidante to Dita before she passed away. Dita wanted to keep an eye on her so she asked Miguel to give her a job. She was fantastic at keeping things organized and she already knew about the other side of business.
Working for Miguel was great because though some would hate being an assistant, he actually gave her a lot of responsibility. She was often put in charge of events while making sure everything in his life runs smoothly, at least on the legal side of things. She was so proud of her work tonight but she hardly had time to celebrate until she saw her man walking through the door.
She’d been with EZ, Ezekiel as she liked to call him because she loved his full name, for a little over a year. It was the best relationship she’d ever been in. He was kind, honest, caring, and oh so very fine.
She ended her current conversation before strutting over to Ezekiel, her arms immediately going around his neck. “Hi baby. I’m so happy you’re here.” She kissed his lips.
EZ loved seeing his girl in her element. She was very much out of his league in his mind and he felt lucky every day he woke up to her. “Hey beautiful.” He greeted her, hands resting on her lower back and pulling her close to him. “I see all your hard work has paid off.”
“It really has. Things couldn’t be going better. Especially now that you’re here.” She grinned at him.
“Oh yeah? You’re happy to see me?” He teased, smiling back so she kissed him again.
The two of them engaged in some conversation and heavy flirting before they were interrupted by her boss.
“Monique, I need you for a second…” Miguel announced, no time for pleasantries. He was always about his business. She could respect it but it was also annoying because he could have greeted Ezekiel
“Oh hi Miguel. We weren’t having a conversation or anything.” She sarcastically replied, giving her boss a look.
“Reyes..” Miguel acknowledged her boyfriend with a barely noticeable head nod before bringing his attention back to her. “You’ve put in the most face time with the Castillos and the lovely matriarch has requested your presence. We don’t want to keep them waiting, verdant?”
EZ rolled his eyes at Miguel but didn’t say anything. He was used to Miguel’s shit and honestly he didn’t like him either so the less they communicated the better.
The Castillos were a very important family that have entered into an arrangement with Galindo enterprises both on the legitimate and illegitimate side of business. It was already fragile so she wanted to keep everything on the up and up.
She retreated from EZ’s arms without a second thought. “Is everything alright? When we went over the final documents she didn’t bring anything up.” She began walking alongside Miguel but stopped in her tracks.
“I’ll be right back.” She walked back over to EZ and planted a distracted kiss on his cheek.
He mustered up a slight smile and then she was gone.
She didn’t come back until the end of the night.
She sighed, pushing her way out of his lap and snatching up her phone once she stood up. “He’s my boss, Ezekiel. You have got to let this thing with Miguel go. Enough is enough.”
“He just does this to piss me off.” And it worked. He wanted to have her all to himself, but he couldn’t do that with Galindo constantly texting her and having her work long hours. At this point it felt she was the one singlehandedly keeping his businesses afloat.
“So stop letting it piss you off.” She replied, like it was the easiest thing and to her it was.
He shot up from his seat and exasperatedly asked, “Why do you always defend him?”
“Because you’re being ridiculous. You knew who I worked for when we started dating.” She was annoyed they were even having this argument. Her attention was focused on her phone as she replied to Miguel with the information he needed.
EZ grew even more irritated that even in an argument he couldn’t have her whole attention. “What could he possibly need from you at 2 in the morning? Hm?” He snatched the phone from her hand.
“Are you out of your mind? Give me my phone back!” She gasped, shocked at his audacity. She and Ezekiel had been together for awhile now and he’s never acted this way. He’s never lost his temper with her. “Things happen. Emergencies. I never say anything when you have an emergency with the MC.”
“Bishop doesn’t text all hours of the night. Bishop doesn’t hate you and try to disrespect our relationship at every turn. And quite frankly, Bishop isn’t a woman so it’s not the same at all.” Ez snapped, his voice getting louder.
“And just what the fuck are you implying, EZ?” There was a clear warning in her tone of voice as she matched his volume. Now they both were yelling at each other. She never called him EZ either. Always preferring to call him Ezekiel.
He knew he should have backed down and cooled off but he was beyond tired of this shit. The angry words slipped outta his mouth before he could stop them. “I’m just wondering what all the late nights are really about. If I’m dating Miguel’s side piece just tell me!”
That was a mistake. Yelling was a mistake. Saying those words was a mistake. He knew it the moment he saw tears form in her eyes.
“Excuse me?” She whispered, voice slightly cracking. How dare he call her a cheater! He officially has lost his mind.
Ezekiel felt his heart drop into his stomach when he heard the hurt in her voice. It went too far. “I didn’t mean it. I’m sorry, mariposa.” He started to walk closer to her, but she stepped back from him.
“This has nothing to do with me. Or us. This is you and Miguel continuing to have a dick measuring contest. Th-this all goes back to Emily.” The name rolled off her tongue with mild resentment. The two never had a bad run in with each other, but all the stories about Emily and EZ’s past relationship and how she was the love of his life always made Monique get defensive.
“That’s not true.” EZ refuted, but she interrupted him before he could further explain.
“Yes it is!  And if somehow it’s not then we got some serious problems baby.” She just shook her head at him before demanding, “Get out.”
You're the only one, you're the only love That's strong enough to claim me So please forgive me I'm just stingy But how can you blame me?
It’s been two weeks since the fight with Ezekiel and Monique was really missing him. She was mad that he would be such a dumbass, but she still just wanted to be laying back on the couch with him watching tv.
Miguel watched as she pushed her salad around her plate, clearly not hungry. “Todo bien hermanita?” He asked, watching as she finally brought her eyes up to meet his. This was the quietest lunch the two ever had. Usually she was talking a mile a minute.
She smiled a little at the nickname. He only called her that when he was concerned or when he really wanted something. Truth is, the two had a sibling kind of relationship. She just wished EZ had seen and understood it. “I’m fine. Not really hungry.”
“Hmm.” He hummed, taking a sip of his drink. “Nestor and I had a meeting with the Mayans yesterday. Saw your novio and he looked like shit.” Miguel casually mentions and she tries to act nonchalant even as her heart races at the mention of a certain biker. “Imagine my surprise when he asked to pull me aside for a chat.”
“What!” She gasped loudly, jaw dropping.
“I’m sure you could guess what we spoke about.”
“Miguel…” She was ready to apologize to him for whatever accusations were thrown his way.
“I know I’m very demanding. It’s part of who I am. I demand a lot from myself and from those around me, especially those closest to me. That includes you, hermanita. But I don’t want to be the reason for your unhappiness. Even if it is with Reyes..” There was only mild disgust in his tone and she took that as an improvement.
“It’s not your fault he doesn’t trust me, hermano.” She sighed.
“He is crazy about you, you know that right?”
Monique went to answer, but Miguel stood up from his seat. He grabbed his suit jacket from the back of the chair and walked over to her, pushing down gently on her shoulders to keep her from getting up. He leans down and whispers “If in the end, you don’t want him and he won’t take the hint you let me know. He can visit my pew.”
She jerked her head back to give him a stern look, hating when he brought up that damn pew. He just kissed her head and walked away. She sat there dumbfounded for a second. “Wait, what-” She turned her head to call out to Miguel but her voice caught in her throat as she spotted Ezekiel right behind her. He walked over and took the seat Miguel was just in.
It was silent before she decided to break it. “You and Miguel working together? Hell must have frozen over.”
He cracks a grin at that. “Ha. Guess you could say we’ve called a truce. At least when it comes to a certain beautiful woman.”
“Calling a truce with my ‘side piece’? I’m sure Emily appreciates it.” She sarcastically replied, making him sigh in reply.
“I never should have said that. I was pissed off and being a sarcastic asshole. This never had anything to do with Emily. Yes we have history, but I don’t think about that anymore. I haven’t for a long time.” Monique looked down, wanting to believe him but having a hard time doing it. “I think about you. I think about you when we’re apart, I think about when I’ll see you again, I think about our future when you’re in my arms. You’re never not on my mind.”
His words make her want to smile, but she wasn’t done. “Then what’s been going on with us lately? Anytime I answer a call or text from Miguel you’re huffing and puffing. You sit there literally pouting like a 3 year old every time I have to do something for work. What’s the problem?”
“First, I don’t pout.” She started to disagree but he loudly continued, earning a playful glare from her. “SECONDLY, I know you’re an independent woman out here making it on your own and shit. I know it’s just been you and your job for a long time. But now you got me, mariposa. I’m here by your side and I like spending time with you. I like the quiet moments at home and our nights out. I want more of them. You work so much and you forget about everything else. Me included.”
“What do you mean I forget you? I don’t forget you.”
“Galindo Enterprises.”
“What are...Oh-” Her face completely dropped as she remembered the night. She got pulled away by Miguel and never went back to Ezekiel. She didn’t mean to, but she ended up checking on other things with the party and even though it hurts to admit she did forget about him. “Oh baby…” She held one of his hands that was on the table between both of hers.
“I’ve never been the one to cling and I don’t like to be needy but you’ve changed me. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I love being in your presence. Maybe I am kind of a baby, but I think wanting your attention is a good sign for a relationship. I’m not asking you to quit your job, but some boundaries would be nice. ”
She felt so bad. He was absolutely right. She had been alone for a long time. She wasn’t used to sharing her life with someone else. An adjustment was obviously needed. “I never meant to make you feel like I wanted anyone or anything more than you. Or that I cared about those things more. I promise that I will work on communicating more with you and not just doing what I want with no consideration for you.”
He nodded his head, but she had to add one more thing. “You do need to know that sometimes just like you can’t help getting called away the same goes for me. But I’ll talk with Miguel and we’ll work out something that works for us all. I can’t believe I didn’t realize. I’m so-”
Ezekiel cut her off before she could begin criticizing herself. “So amazing, captivating, elevating,” after every word, EZ placed a kiss on the palm of her hand. “Anyway you put it I’m happy to be your man.”
“I’m still salty at you insinuating I was sleeping with Miguel.” She declared, causing him to nod with a sad look on his face.
“How can I make it up to you, mariposa?”
“Hmm…” She pretended to think when she already knew what she wanted. She leaned forward and beckoned him closer with a wiggle of her finger. She whispered in his ear, “I wanna ride you with only your kutte on until you lose your mind.” She lightly bit his ear lobe.
She busted out laughing at how fast he scrambled out of his seat and took her hand, pulling her behind him as he hustled out of the restaurant.

I don’t love you anymore
Part 2:
This is part 2. Don’t worry, there WILL be a part 3 but I just felt this was getting REALLY long and I wanted to continue it so it wasn’t SO much. So, please enjoy part 2 :)
Reader is trying to move on after her and Angel’s break up. But are either of them really truly happy? Will they find there way back to each other?
Warnings: angst? Swearing? Brief Mentions of suicide.
Tumblr media
A year.
It’s been 365 days. You don’t know how long a year is until you spend a year missing something, no, someone.
You thought moving would help. You moved back to your aunts house 2,000 plus miles away. Thinking that maybe it would help you move on. It didn’t. You felt there was no closure. Even though Angel had said everything to you, you felt that there was more to it but instead of trying again you ran. You ran and ran and now here you were still just as miserable as you had been because even though it was hell loving him, it was heaven when he WAS loving you and now you were stuck. Not moving forward and you couldn’t help but wonder if he was okay. Was he regretting it? Was he sad? Or was he off to the next one living like you never existed. You pushed that thought from your mind. You didn’t want to think about it. A knock at your door suddenly interrupted your pity party as you looked up.
“y/n?” Are you awake? You aunts soft voice came from behind the door. You sighed. You know you have been worrying her. From being okay one minute to being a drunken mess the next she always seemed to be waiting to see what roller coaster you’d be on.
“Yes, you can come in aunty.” Your voice didn’t have that happy song anymore. Everyone could tell and no one knew how to fix you. Your aunt came in and sat on your bed.
“Y/n, I want to talk to you. Please, don’t be angry but I think it’s time for you to leave. You have been here a year and whatever you’re trying to run from it’s not helping. You need to go back and face whatever it is and close those doors. You are going to drink yourself into a early grave. I love you darling and I’m always here for you but I can’t watch this anymore. You need..
“Stop.” You cut her off. You never opened up to your aunt about what happened. You wanted to shut and lock the door and never speak of it again. Your aunt respected that but apparently you were becoming too much. You couldn’t blame her, honestly, you knew you were a mess and it was only gonna be so long before she grew tired. “I know, I know I’m a lot. But please, don’t give up on me just yet. Please... I just. I gave the wrong person the right piece of me and I’m broken.. I’m, lost. I thought leaving would fix it and I want to tell you I’m fine and I’m over it but I have this HORRIBLE habit of forgiving people when they aren’t even sorry...and I’m still in love with him and if I go back I’ll look for him, I’ll be the pathetic ex trying to crawl back to him and I just.. I can’t. I don’t even know what happened. He just woke up one day and decided he didn’t love me anymore. He finally seen I wasn’t good enough. ”
You start crying as you realize that after all this time that you still love that idiot that ignoring it and hiding it was a mistake and you should have opened up a long time ago. You finally told your aunt what happened from start to finish and she held you as you cried.
——————————————————————-
Angels POV
Back in Santo Padre things haven’t been going very well for Angel either. He’s been a walking disaster since you left him. When you left the first two months he wasn’t sober. He drank from the time he woke up until he laid down and if there were anymore tears to cry he would have cried too. Bishop had let it slide knowing he was going through it but after it almost got him and Gilly killed he finally put his foot down.
—-Flashback 2 months after—
“I HAVE FUCKING HAD IT” Bishop slammed his hand down on the templo table and the sudden noise made Angel flinch. All the other Mayans staring at him seeing what his reaction would be.
“I get that you’re going through some shit but damnit Angel you almost got you and Gilly killed and I can’t have that shit happening. You fucked up brother. Face it, get the fuck over it and move on. If you can’t get your shit straight you’re out. I can’t be having you risk our lives over some pussy.”
Angel’s face turned red. He was livid that Bishop would even DARE talk about you like that. Yes, Bishop cared about you but he had to get through to Angel and he couldn’t play around his feelings anymore. Angel stood up with a quickness leaning toward his president anger growing faster with every passing moment.
“Don’t you EVER fucking talk about y/n like that. Or I’ll”
“Or you‘ll what Angel? “ Bishop is standing nose to nose with him obviously not intimidated. Angel needed to realize he needed to get his shit straight and Bishop was gonna make him see that one way or the other.
“You ain’t gonna do shit, Angel. Now sit the fuck down. Go get your dick wet, hit it out in the cage do what you gotta do today but then it’s fucking done. I don’t wanna see or hear about you acting this way anymore.”
Angel glared at him a few seconds before nodding and storming out of templo and heading to his bike. He needed to ride. He needed to get away and think. How dare he. How could he just expect you to get over y/n like that? I mean, sure you did fuck up but if you could have just explained it you were sure she would forgive you.. you hoped she would have forgave you.
Back in the club house Bishop stopped Ez to talk to him.
“Have you had any luck at all?”
Ez sighed. He had been trying for two months to find you or find where you went so he could talk to you to tell you to come back but he came up short every time.
“No, I can’t find anything. I don’t know where she would have went. She didn’t talk family much. All I know is her mom is a junkie and her dad died years ago. There’s no brother’s and the only sister died in a car crash when y/n was 16. The mom has a sister but she’s completely off grid and so I can’t find shit on her. “
Bishop sighed “keep trying. We gotta figure something out.”
—-Present Day—-
It’s been a year and Ez hasn’t stopped trying to find you. He has watched Angel mask his hurt long enough to do shit with the club and then melt back into his depression and drinking when at home. He’s worried about his brother and he’s determined. So he does the only thing he can think of, he reaches out to Emily Galindo. Maybe, just maybe she can find what he needs.
“And what do you suppose I tell Miguel? Huh? That my ex boyfriend needs a favor? You already know how he feels about our past Ez. Even us meeting here” she motions to Felipes shop “is dangerous!”
“I know, Em, I know but I don’t know what else to do! Angel needs her to know. I don’t even know if it will fix anything but he NEEDS this. Can’t you tell him it’s a friend of yours that you have lost contact with? Or something dealing with work??”
Emily sighs. She knows she can’t say no to Ez, especially under the circumstances.
“Fine, I’ll try.”
———————————————————————
—two weeks later—
You’re wiping down the last table at the diner you work at and about to close up for the night. Friday nights are so busy but it’s your favorite because it brings in the most tips. You weren’t sure you were gonna like moving out to the middle of no where but, it had its perks. After talking with your aunt you felt a little better. You still missed Angel but you figured you owed yourself a chance at happiness. You were grabbing your things when you heard your phone vibrate. An unknown number calling. You simply ignored it thinking it was a spam called until it rang again immediately after the first call, the same number popping up. You furrowed your brows and decided to answer it.
“Hello?”
——————————
—back at the club house—
Ez couldn’t believe it. Emily had found a way to get information on your aunt and she called her telling your aunt that you were an old friend. Your aunt was excited. She thought this would help get you out of your funk. She gave Emily the number they had under her husbands name. Ez seemed impressed by that. No wonder he couldn’t find anything with your name attached to it.
He called the number while the club was having a party. Angel was drinking and trying to distract himself with one of vickie’s girls so Ez took this time to step out to make the call holding his breath... he was disappointed when it went to voicemail so he tried one more time his heart stopped when you picked up and he hoped and prayed you would give him enough time to explain.
“Y/n. Please don’t hang up.”
———————————————————————
Your heart stopped. You felt like you couldn’t breathe. How? Why? Was everything okay?? You were trying to find your voice when your heard Ez on the line.
“Y/n are you there?”
You blinked rapidly as you swallowed hard.
“I’m here” Your voice came out in a whisper. You cleared your throat and tried again. “How did you get my number? Why are you calling?”
“Y/n I’ve been trying for a year to find you. I’ve been trying since the day you left.”
You scoffed anger starting to fill you. “YOU? YOU have? Why? Angel obviously isn’t the one trying so why do YOU care?”
“Angel did. He was gone for two weeks riding trying to find where you went. Then when he couldn’t figure it out he came back and has been a depressed drinking mess since. He barely functions.” Ez said rushing through his sentence.
Your heart was being drug all sorts of directions. Part of you was happy that he was just as miserable as you, but you were sad. You never want him to hurt. Then, you were confused. Why? Why did he feel that way? He claimed he didn’t love you so why would he be hurting?
“Why? Why does he care? He made his feelings VERY clear about how he felt about me. I have spent a year hurting, Ez. I have went through all this shit myself. My aunt has watched me drink myself away, had to talk me out of ending my life” your voice broke. You hated to admit how weak it made you sound but you wanted them to know what you had been through because of him.
Ez’s heart was breaking. He knew that it had hurt you but he didn’t realize just how much damage had been done, maybe it was wrong for him to open up an old wound but he had to try.
“Look, I know I have no right. I know I have no idea what you’ve been through but I’m trying to tell you that he lied, y/n. As soon as I left your house I told him how stupid he was and he thought hurting you was gonna keep you safe if you weren’t with him. So much shit was happening with the club and in his mind he was doing the right thing for you but as soon as you left I think he realized saying all that, was wrong. he hated himself. He went right back to the house to tell you but you were gone. He loves you. He needs you.”
You were breaking down. You wanted so bad to believe Ez but you just couldn’t do that again. Even if Angel was lying he broke you, he said things to you that has changed your whole entire world. How are you supposed to come back from that?
“Ez, I, I can’t. It’s taking me a long time to be okay. Trying to live without Angel was like drowning but I just wouldn’t fucking die.. and I’ve finally learned how to breathe through it and here you are, pushing me back under and I can’t, I just. I wouldn’t even know what to say.”
“Y/n, I understand but if you..”
Ez stopped and you were waiting for him to continue..
You heard shuffling and then you heard it.
”y/n? Is that you??”
The voice that brought you to tears. Angel. You felt dizzy. Probably cause you weren’t breathing. Your anxiety was building and you did the only thing you could think of... you hung up.
———————————————————————
—-At the clubhouse—
Ez was listening to you talk and he knew you were about to shut him off. When he said your name he heard Angels voice.
“Ez? Whose name did you just say?” He practically ran toward you. Ez tried to hide the phone and Angel took it from him.
“Y/n? Is that you??” He heard the line click.
His heart shattered. He stood there phone in hand shaking.
“Angel?” Ez stepped toward his brother.
“How long have you been talking to her?” His voice was raspy trying to hold back anger and tears.
“Just today. I have been trying to reach her and that was the first time i have spoken to her.”
Angel nodded and sighed as he shoved the phone back at Ez’s chest and started to walk away.
“Angel! Angel come back man.”
But it was no use Angel kept walking ready to drown himself in alcohol. It had been too long and hearing your voice brought back so many memories. Ez sighed in defeat wondering how far this was gonna set Angel back and hoping he hadn’t caused more damage to his brother or you.

Sin Ti // Angel Reyes ft. Dominic Lee Part 2
Tumblr media
Angel Reyes x Solana Losa (OC)
Dominic Lee (OC) x Solana Losa
2.45k
This took a bit of a 360 turn.A lil angst, a lil drama and because I couldn’t stop typing once I started...there’s a part 3 to this but it’ll come out after Ez’s part drops. Angel is a bit of an asshole, Dominic is a bit smug and Solana is no longer the woman Angel thought she was or maybe she’d always been that way?
Enjoy! Feedback is welcomed and please reblog, like y’all don’t understand how much that means to creators on here.
Unedited.
Four months later
Angel stared at the ultrasound pictures laid out on his coffee table. It has been a total of seven months since everything blew up in his face and to say he wasn’t coping well was an understatement. Angel had reverted to his shallow fuck- anything- with- a -pulse self with everyone walking on eggshells around him. Even as he sat staring at the pictures, there was a woman in his bed fast asleep.
Angel had tried talking to Solana but she had Vega playing bodyguard and Angel knew better than to mess with Vega because even though she could handle herself, her big brother Rio was another story by himself. He had no idea when Solana had left Santo Padre but he knew that his heart had left right along with her.
This was the second set of ultrasound pictures he’d gotten and if he was being honest, they were the only thing giving him hope that Solana would come back to him.
Adelita had shown up out of the blue, caught him in a rather compromising position and then proceeded to tell him that the baby had died. He didn’t know whether to believe her or not because Potter had told him something completely different including the fact that her baby was a Reyes. Maybe Solana had lied to him but he could see past that and forgive her because she’d done the same for him numerous times.
If only she would just come home.
Tumblr media
Solana smiled as she took in the scene before her, it had been a year and six months since she had left Santo Padre and quite honestly she didn’t feel like going back. Her uncle had told her that it was best for her to stay on the other side for a bit while things blew over but what was supposed to be five months had become more.
In that time she’d given birth to a healthy baby girl who she had named Cataleya Marísol Reyes. She had also met a man who made her feel love and happiness to an extent she didn’t think was possible. Sol had come to realize that while she had love for Angel, she was no longer in love with him. She had given so much of herself to Angel without the same effort being reciprocated that she didn’t know what to do with herself when she got a man who did.
Dominic Lee was the man Bishop had entrusted his niece’s safety to while she was on the other side. Their families had a long history and Bishop knew that if anyone would keep her and her baby safe it would be the Lee’s. The Lee’s were an immigrant family from China, how they ended up in Santo Padre, Bishop didn’t have a clue but Dominic’s grandfather was the first Asian man to be a part of the Santo Padre charter. His father, much like Ez, had a lot of book and street smarts. He had gotten into a school on the other side, started a successful business and would occasionally help the charters getting shipments in and out of Mexico.
Dominic had continued his father's legacy in both aspects of business and as much as Bishop respected and cared for Angel, he never liked the relationship that had bloomed between him and Sol. He had warned her on numerous occasions that even if Angel cared about her it would end in heartbreak. Seeing his niece happy was the only thing that mattered most to Bishop and if that meant encouraging Dominic to make a move on Solana…then maybe that's exactly what he did.
"So…you and Dominic? How'd that happen?" Vega questions as they both look on at Dominic, Ez and Rio playing with baby Leya who already had them all wrapped around her little fingers.
"Honestly V, I don't fucking know. It feels like it all happened so fast, like one minute he's showing me to the guest room and the next he's rearranging my insides cause my hormones were off the wall. He makes it easy…"
Vega gives her a look that says to elaborate what she was talking about because Vega had always thought that her best friend would forever  be whipped for Ignacio.
"I never have to question whether he loves me because it shows in everything he does. I never have to ask him to make time for me, to take me out or to treat Leya the way he does but he does it anyways because that's the kind of person he is. I'm not saying he's perfect, neither am I but we're imperfectly perfect for each other, I don't know what it is but he just makes me feel whole." she smiles looking at the man who had managed to steal her heart in more ways than one over the past eleven months.
Vega smiles at the way her best friend glows and even though she's still hesitant on Dominic, she can tell that he makes Solana happy. She wasn't Angel's biggest fan but a part of her had hoped that maybe they could work things out if Angel would just get his shit together. She didn't send him all those pictures for nothing but Angel never got the clue and never came around asking for the information that she would've eventually given to him after pulling his leg a little bit first. Instead, the asshole had chosen to fuck his way through Vicky's girls and even had a run in with Adelita that Ez had briefly mentioned.
"What are you going to do about Angel? You know he's not going to be happy."
"Yo Stanford, we gotta go." Angel's voice sounds from outside the front door followed by a series of knocks.
"Speak of devil." Vega mumbles as she gets up to open the door.
Solana had moved to where Dominic and Rio were playing with Leya out of Angel's view. Ez went to grab his keys and kutte as Vega dealt with Angel. Solana wasn't ready to face him yet, she knew she'd have to sooner or later. She sees Angel's figure rush pass Vega and Ez before the bathroom door slams. Still tucked away in the corner of Vega's living room, she prays Angel just leaves as soon as he's done in the bathroom but those prayers fall on deaf ears as Leya screams out loudly just as he's walking by. Solana quickly takes her from Rio trying to calm her down but it's too late as Angel rounds the corner with Ez and Vega hot on his tail.
"What the fuck?" Angel looks around at everyone before him before settling on Ez. "So this what we doing now?"
"Angel, don't blow this out of proportion. They only got here today, nobody's hiding anything from your dumbass. If I find out you put your hands on my man the moment y'all leave from here, I won't hesitate to take my switch to your dick asshole. Now get out before Bishop calls." Vega speaks up trying to diffuse the situation.
Cataleya refused to stop screaming so Solana stands in an attempt to get her outside for some fresh air only for Angel to grab onto her upper arm. Rio sits back watching the shit storm unfold before him. Dominic is on his feet the moment Angel reaches for Sol and grabs onto her. He knew exactly who Angel was, they had never met personally but from everything Solana and Bishop had mentioned he had developed quite a dislike for the man.
"Suéltame Ignacio.”
“We need to talk.” Angel says pulling her closer to him.
“I know you heard her say to let go. I’d let go if I were you.” Dominic says stepping into their space. The edge in his voice told Sol that this wouldn’t end well for Angel if he kept pushing his boundaries.
“Who the fuck is this clown?” Angel questions looking around the room. Vega shakes her head because honestly, could he get anymore stupid?
It took a lot to piss Dominic off but when it came to the things or people he cared deeply for, it's like a switch flipped inside him. Angel grapping onto his woman and refusing to let go while she held on to their daughter  was something he refused to sit by idly and watch. Cataleya may not have been his child biologically but she was his nonetheless and he'd protect her at all costs even if it meant from her own father.
"He's my fiancé." Sol grits out glaring at Angel who drops her hand like he's been burned. She hands Leya to Vega asking her to take her for a walk, both Ez and Rio following behind her. Dominic takes his previous seat because the look in Solana's eyes told him she could handle the situation and that he didn't need to intervene at the moment.
"What the hell is your problem?" she questions poking at Angel's chest.
"You're the one who left and then show up here a year and a half later with another man who's apparently raising MY child! You don't get to ask me what's wrong with me when something is clearly fucking wrong with you. I thought I knew you Sol but it's clear that I don't." Angel spits out at her.
"I gave you six months to get your shit together Ignacio, you didn't. I gave you all of me for fifteen years and you didn't give two fucks because you got comfortable. What, you thought that if you kept slanging me dick I'd stick around? Everything I said to you that night you decided you wanted to believe some woman you'd been fucking over me, I meant it. Everything I said to you that night in the hospital, I meant it. I still gave you six months hoping you'd take the fucking hint and come sort shit out but fucking your way through Vicky's girls was way more important than being there the night your daughter was born. So much more important that you signed away your rights as her father over a fucking phone call while you were deep in one of those bitches hungover and high out your fucking mind. You don't get to tell me something is wrong with me when you can't get your shit together Angel. You're the one who fucked us up, you made your decision and I made mine. I have love for you and I'll forever be thankful that you gave me that amazing baby girl but that's it Angel."
It hurt, Angel couldn't lie and say that it didn't. The look in her eyes told him a lot but also a little at the same time. She was no longer the woman he knew. He could no longer read her emotions but that one look in her eyes told him that she was permanently done with him. He didn't remember the phone call she was referring to but he wondered just how fucked up he was for fucking up not one but two of his kids lives. They'd never know him, he'd never get to watch them grow and it's simply because he was selfish and wanted to have his cake and eat it too. He had everything with Sol, he was happy and so was she even if they didn't have a label but shit changed when he met Adelita.
"I was under the influence, how the fuck does that count as me signing my rights away? I already lost one child, I'm not losing another. My child will not call that clown dad." he says pointing over to Dominic.
"You might be her father biologically but that's not what it says on paper and until you get your shit together, you won't be coming anywhere near my daughter." Dominic states smugly. He wasn't on her birth certificate yet but he knew that shit would knock Angel of his high horse a bit.
"The fuck are you even doing here? This doesn't concern you." Angel says pointing between him and Sol. "As far as I'm concerned, you're just a rebound fuck. Sooner or later she's gonna come right back where she belongs and I won't hesitate to put a bullet in your skull."
Dominic stands and walks over to the both of them. "And yet still…I'm the one who put a ring on her finger and the one your daughter's gonna call dad. I already won, thanks to you." he smirks before turning to Solana and presses a kiss to her cheek. "I'll be outside, don't hesitate to break his nose if he gets out of line."
Angel waits for Dominic to exit the front door before he speaks. "Are you seriously going to marry him?"
"Si."
"Why querida? And don't tell me it's because you love him."
"Loving him is not the only reason why I agreed to marry him Angel."
"Then why?!" he shouts. "Did you even love me or was that all a lie just like you lied about Adelita's baby not being mine?" Once again Angel isn't expecting the slap that he collects as soon as he finishes his sentence.
"I'm a lot of things but a liar isn't one of them and you know it Ignacio. I get it, you're looking for someone to blame but I refuse to let you use me as your punching bag. Get your shit together before you lose everyone around you the way you did with me. Potter may have told you that Adelita's baby is a Reyes but that baby is not your Angel and it's not Ez's so don't even go there. Don't look at me like that either."
"Then which Reyes is it huh? My pops?"
"That's not my story to tell but what I'll say is, once the truth comes to light…you're gonna look back and regret this very moment. I guess love really does make you blind. Look what it did to me." she chuckles lightly. "you never loved me Angel, you loved the thought of me because I was easily accessible to you. That man out there," she points towards the front door walking closer to Angel leaning in close to his ear. "…he loves me unconditionally, always puts my daughter and I first. I never have to question where his loyalty lies  and while we've had our unpretty moments…I won't hesitate to put a bullet in your skull the next time you threaten my husband." Solana pats his cheek and fixes his kutte before picking her baby bag up and walking to the front door where she stops and turns to look at him.
"Don't make me your enemy Ignacio."

maybe, it wasn’t right | kim taehyung
Tumblr media
genre: heavy angst, tiny bit of smut, break up
starring: taehyung x reader
synopsis: when you thought everything is perfect, you are destroyed by your own imaginations. when that day, you realised that it wasn’t you in his mind anymore, you were stucked between staying and leaving. somehow, you don’t want a goodbye but why does staying seem harder than anything now?
words: 4248 words
side note: many of you said that you guys got a good cry from my first fic which is let you go and i thought i wanted to give it another try in this new fic. it has almost the same settings but a little bit different. its been a while since i wrote my prev fics so here we go.
recommended songs: hold on - chord overstreet ; shine - kim ez (i listened to this when i wrote this one)
It’s been a year ever since you and him shared the first kiss that would tingle your lips every time you think about it. Who would have thought that kiss would change things between you and him? It was a year ago where he made it clear that he wanted you. Not anyone else but you.
The relationship you shared with him was beyond beautiful. It was hard to actually describe how it felt like to you but indeed—the love you shared with him was amazing. Taehyung was that person who would make you feel that type of love—without actually chanting the endless I love you’s. He didn’t know how to be romantic mess with those fancy dinner on the tallest building in the city or he barely gives you any crazy expensive diamonds on your birthday. He didn’t do that because you told him not to.
You didn’t care about anything else because he gave something more than that. A security. Taehyung will always make sure you feel secure every time he pulled you into the tightest and warmest hug he ever had. He is there, to make sure your worries will go away when he wipes those tears, streaming down your cheeks. His presence—it represents security you ever need. You had no idea you needed it until he gave it to you.
It’s even crazier every time you caught his eyes—making him to stare back at you every time he had the chance to do so—you feel safe. His eyes spoke thousand love and million adoration. You didn’t know how to put this into words but every thing about him made you secure and guarded. His warm presence, you didn’t want to let it go.
You weren’t sure what made you fell this much? Was it because of his eyes?
His eyes—God, they were beautiful as hell. They were nothing spectacular in general but why did they make you froze on your feet every time you met them? Why did you feel lost in his eyes every time he stares at you? They sparkled like a night art every time lights strike into his brown orbs.
Was it his smile?
His smile—oh, there is no way you would want to look away when that boxy smile plasters all over his lips, making your heart blooms like a Spring.
Was it that kiss?
You still remember the way his lips sealed against yours, bringing his hands on your back—securing you to be in his arms while you rubbed your small thumb on his cheeks, to bring him closer. The space was disappearing as he hated any space between you and him when he kissed you. You remembered it too well when you could feel his smile as he deepen the kiss—telling how good your lips taste like against his. Like it was made for him. Just for him.
How could that tiny moment send so much tingle under your skin?
Nothing fancy. Just two people are in love with each other—kissing, dancing like the world is fading.
The weird thing is, world seemed like it was fading away from you when he was around. There was no one but you and him. You didn’t care. If universe was fading from your vision and leaving you helpless—as long as he was with you here, you know everything will be just fine.
Nobody had any idea that you would be this deep in love—not even you. It might be cliche to say that you have never loved anyone this deep but it’s somehow true. You never knew what love was until you met him. Nobody taught you what love actually is until God sent him to you. Taehyung gave you more than just a love. He gave you the honesty and trust that nobody have given to you before. When you thought love is that cliche shit that would hurt you no matter you tried—he didn’t do that to you. No even a chance.
Taehyung found you and bring you back home. He collected those scattered trust back into whole piece. That’s kind of love you ever wanted.
“It’s crazy,” he panted—breathing heavily as he rubbed his rough hands along your bare back. The sweat made strand of hairs covering all over his forehead.
“What is it?” panting on his shoulder when you couldn’t feel your body anymore, a soft whimper escaped your lips as you tried to catch your breath after the intense fuck you had with him. Chills running under your skin when he leaned closer and kissed your shoulder softly. There was a short silence.
“I’m so in love with you. It’s crazy,” a soft deep voice filled the room.
You giggled. “Why?” you asked
“I don’t know. I’m just....in love,”
“I love you,” he added. Short sentence but it meant more than just a world. It felt deeper than just a sea. It sent million butterflies to your whole body.
“I love you too, Taehyung,” you whispered softly—inhaling his scent. This was perfect.
Everything seemed perfect to you. The world seemed like a perfect movie to you so you chose to brush off those invisible thorns. God made you blind, made you thought you had everything in your hands—you really did until you sense something that you had no idea it would break you, this much.
You no longer felt his presence even he was right there across your eyes. You no longer could feel the tingly sensation from his touch even he was there, touching you like he always did. His laugh and smile, they used to sound genuine when you were around but why the hell you barely sense any feeling in them? Where did it go?
Every time he came to your place, he no longer runs giddily at you like a little kid before pulling you into your favourite place—his embrace. He no longer leaned against the wall, eating some random chips he stole from your fridge and tells you how crazy his day was, while you were there, cooking his favourite dish.
He barely annoyed you or made you whined like a baby as he forced you to dance with him in the middle of night.
By time, the colors you have painted with him, have faded—leaving everything becomes dull. Tasteless, colourless.
The hardest part to swallow is, he was there, sleeping beside you but why did it feel like the whole room was filled with his absence? Where did he go? Fear crept into your skin because deep inside, you never wanted to know why this was happening to both of you. You never wanted to know why his eyes have lost its soul when he looked at you. You really never wanted to know what did you do wrong.
“Is everything okay with the boys?” you asked him quietly when you saw the chance even honestly, you had no idea when was the right time to do this. You stared into his eyes, hoping to find the answer you were looking for.
“Yeah. Of course. What do you mean?” he cocked his eyebrows, glancing at you for few seconds before averting his gaze from yours as he got the attention back on his laptop. Your heart clenched. It was really different.
“I thought you have been different these past few days. Did I do something wrong?” you whispered, voice became small and distant, not once breaking the eye contact. You wanted him to look back at you with the same eyes he had few months ago. He did but not with the same eyes.
“Baby....No, everything is fine. I’m sorry if you felt that way,” he ditched his stuff and came closer—towering your vulnerable self under his tall figure. For few seconds, you felt him. Again after a while. You felt his presence again after being left alone.
“I’m just tired...uhm with the works,” he added to ease the stiffness in your whole body.
“I love you, you know that right?” with desperate voice, you said. He nodded.
“Yes. I know,” he smiled, pecking your nose but you wanted more than that. His words. You wanted more.
“I love you too,” he replied. Oh, he heard you. You bloomed again.
Every thing became perfect again. It’s as almost as perfect as it was before so again, you lived in your perfect movie that seems to be filled with your delusional fantasy. When you thought you were about to break, he came to pick you. When you thought the wound was slowly grating on your skin, he put the bandage on it. He would always be that kind of person you fell in love with.
You thought everything was perfectly fine but the thoughts were crushed by your own expectation when you saw a woman rushing out from his apartment, clanking the heels on the ground as you standing there, few feet afar like a statue.
She had tears all over her eyes and cheeks, streaming down to her chin. Her cheeks flushed in pink under her skin, biting down her lower lip to refrain herself from sobbing at 12 am. When she disappeared from your sight, you still had no idea how to process this new information. You couldn’t feel your legs and body when the fact that, a woman just came out from his house. Who was she? Why did she come out from your boyfriend’s house? And why did you feel nothing but pain?
That night, you left silently with so much tears, staining your face. You wanted to know why she was there, with swollen eyes. You wanted to bang on his door and screamed for his explanation. You wanted to tell him why the fuck he did that to you but you couldn’t do that.
Ever since that, her image never left your mind. You remembered how beautiful she was. She was tall and slim. Her hair was long, looked like a silk coloured in deep brown. Her body was no where close to you and it made you furious. Her face? God, she looked ethereal. She was really beautiful but why did it make you feel small? She was his ex-girlfriend. His first love.
At nights, you would curl silently on your bed and bawled your eyes.
You started to look at yourself at the mirror and wonder why you barely had what she had. You tried to find where did you went wrong, where did this went wrong. What have you lost? What have you missed? Did she make him happier? Did she make his heart race? Did she make his eyes, sparkle in love? You stained your pillow with so much tears and painful sobbing as you stared at his name on the phone screen, calling you. The name used to make you screamed in joy but where did it went wrong?
As time went by, you realised that the relationship was barely there. No affection, no souls, no presences. Both of you knew about that but none of you ever spoke out. He came home to you just to say hi and then, he disappeared. He called just to tell you that he wouldn’t be coming because he felt tired or maybe, he just didn’t want to. Sometimes, he stopped coming at all and just like that, the spark between you and him died.
Was it coming to end? Was this the end?Every time the thought came in your mind, you stained the pillow again with endless tears of the endless nights. You didn’t want to let him go. Not yet, not forever. Every parts of you wanted him and you were very sure about that. You still craved for him and the thoughts of letting him go, feel like somebody just stabbed you on the chest. That hurts so bad. So bad. These killed you inside, to the point, you felt nothing but fear.
But, no matter how you despised the idea, somehow, you knew you needed to do that one day. And that day came faster than you ever imagined.
You saw her name on his phone. You saw a smile crept all over his face. You heard his genuine laugh, filling the space—that laugh you have lost these past few weeks. You saw the happiness in his eyes. He looked genuinely happy but not with you. You were there but he didn’t share the same happiness with you because here, you felt like million thorns under your skin and thousand tears pooling in your eyes. You didn’t know when did it started but for sure, both of you have lost this relationship.
You moaned out loud when he found the sweet spot inside your core. Gripping onto both of his arms, wrapping your legs around his waist, you filled the room with your whimper and moan every time he thrusted inside you. The bed creaked, in sync with his move. Taehyung leaned to your body and planted wet kisses along the neck.
He breathed against your skin as he quickened the pace. Your eyes rolled back at the sensation—cupping his face inside your hands. God, making love with him felt like a heaven. He felt so good, he made you feel so good every time he kissed your body—telling you how beautiful you were. He said your body was beautiful and you didn’t believe him. You didn’t until he made you.
“Baby, fuck. You always feel this good,” he growled as he looked down to your messy face. Tucking the hair from your face, he stared straight into your eyes with his darkened eyes. Your body arched when he pumped harder—moaning as both of you exchanged such deep eye contacts.
“Taehyung....,” you cried out, bouncing under him. He bit his lower lip, humming to your calls.
“Hm?” he hummed.
“So good. You...Ah! you made me feel so good,” your body bounced aggressively as his pace quickened for both of you to reach the climax. He groaned in pleasure when you clenched around him.
“Yes. Yes. Like that baby,” his breath hitched as he noticed you were building up the intense knot inside your stomach. He pumped harder and rougher. You cried—calling nothing but his name over and over again.
“I’m so close,” you squeaked.
The next second, your body jerked and flinched when you cum around him—spilling the white juices around his cock before it stained the bed sheet. Scream was echoing the room as your body still flinched before he filled his release inside you. Both of you were panting hard, catching some air to fill into your chest, with him still on top of you.
Taehyung leaned closer and kissed your jaw. He had that habit where he would nuzzle on your neck after sex and kiss them. You bring your hand to his hair and pulled him tighter. You inhaled his scent and rubbed your thumbs on his nape as he kissed your jaws. It lasted for few minutes before you caught his eyes.
That damn eyes. You stared at him and he smiled down at you. Oh, fucking handsome. Taking his face into your hands, you rubbed your small thumb on his dreamy eyes, his cute cheeks and his lips. You let out a small giggle at the small mole on his nose. He was gorgeous.
To this day, you still flinch as of you weren’t being in the reality. It made you flinch to think that you were lucky enough to have this man’s heart. Just all for you.
“That was amazing,” he whispered to you after few moment. He always said that every time you both made love. You nodded and smiled. With him, everything was amazing.
“Taehyung....” you rubbed his cheek while the other hand, played with his wavy hair that covering his eyes. His chest vibrated as he hummed, making yours feel the same.
“I love you,” you almost lost your voice when you said that. It was small and vulnerable just like your heart, you wonder if he noticed that. You saw his face changed for few seconds when you said that before a small faded smile appeared. The universe seemed to fade when you saw no one but him. It was the world where only you and him existed.
“You know that right?” you added, just like the last time.
“I know you do,” he nodded with that colourless smile. You wanted more than that so you let him finished. But, there was nothing.
“Thank you,” he added and you knew, it was real. There was no I love you from him. You have lost it. You had no idea where did it go but sure, it hurts like hell.
Staring into his eyes for few seconds before you pulled him into the deepest kiss you ever had with him. You took his face inside your hands and kissed him like there was no future—savouring his mouth against yours while holding the tears that have been pooling in your eyes. You didn’t know a kiss would hurt this much.
When you let go, both of you panted hard again. He looked down at you, confused and clueless. Probably wondering what came to you this night, something about you was different tonight. You met his eyes again. That brown orbs. Why were they so beautiful even at times like this?
“Taehyung....” you called him and without words, he stared back at you, trying to read your eyes. They felt different.
“I’ll let you go,” you weren’t sure if your voice was heard by him but swear to god, part of you was crushed into million pieces and you had no idea how would you carry it back home.
His pupil dilated—he looked at you, completely in disbelief.
“You can go to her. I’m letting you go,” you added with a broken smile while you took every image of his face into your system because for sure, you wouldn’t be able to do that tomorrow.
This was crazy because the last thing you wanted to do in your life was to let him go. It happened way too soon and your heart ached a lot.
**
“I just wanted to know where did it went wrong,” you spoke as you sat at the edge of the bed—fully dressed just like how you came to his place few hours ago. You looked down to your feet, pretty sure you had no courage to look at him again.
There was a silence.
“It was all my fault,”
“I don’t want you to blame yourself. I just want to know the reason, Taehyung,” you tilted your head and saw him again. There was inches of guilt on his face but it didn’t make you feel at ease.
“I still love her,” he voiced out while staring at you. You had goosebumps.
“I thought when I have you, her presence won’t do shit on me but it does. My heart still races every time i see her. I still want to see her even i should go and fucking stay with you. I still......fuck. I still want her even i shouldn’t,” he ran his hands through his hair—looking devastated and guilty while you were here, staring at him in disbelief and betrayals.
You tried to figure out but it seemed like somebody just had taken your soul away. Your heart—if it was a glass, you could see how scattered it was on the floor. After all these while, you were right. He still loved her. Your biggest nightmare was finally come to reality.
You looked at him—trying to get yourself together even you were second away from breaking down.
“So, our relationship was a lie? Everything.....” you stopped, catching some air.
“....everything that you did to me.....was a lie?” your voice almost broke as you couldn’t contain the pain inside your chest.
“I thought you loved me,” the voice, it faded.
“They were all true. I swear to god I have loved you but....I know I can’t love you the way I loved her no matter how hard I’m trying. She was my first love. I’m really sorry,” he took your eyes into his and you swear to god, you wanted to disappear. This was too humiliating and you wonder why God put you in this situation.
You have lost at words. Your lips parted but nothing came out from your mouth because for real, you have lost everything. The sense of humiliation, betrayals, pain. They kept confusing you.
“Why did you let me in if you still love her this much, Taehyung? Why did you make become this complicated for us?” your voice became small again. There was a huge pain in it. Pure sadness and heartbreak.
“I don’t know. This is too confusing. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do that to you,” he replied.
Both of you met each other’s gazes for few moment.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t enough for you,” after few minutes of being silent, you spoke. You gathered all the courage to look at him one more time before you leave.
“No, please. It’s not your fault. You know that right?”
“No, it is.. I’m sorry if everything about me wasn’t enough. I’ve tried, Taehyung. Everything to keep you. I love you so much...” part of you broke at the last part before you continued.
“...that I wanted to give everything I had for you but today I realised that....I’m still not enough but she is. I’m really sorry if i made you to be in this relationship when you supposed to be with her. I’m sorry,”
Your eyes pooled with tears—making your vision became blurry and teary. Every thing about this was unfair. He was silent and that was it.
“You should’ve told me earlier that it wasn’t me you wanted so we wouldn’t hurt each other like this,”
Wiping the pooled tears, you stood up—taking your stuff. Your legs felt like a jelly. How the fuck were you going to go back home with this state?
“I’ll go get the rest of my things in few days. Goodnight,” you stormed out from his room—bringing your pathetic self out of his house even you wanted to cry in front of him. You wanted him to see how broken he made you feel like and how deep this wound has become.
You were crying like crazy as you drove yourself to your home and remembered the horror on Wendy’s face when she saw you, looking this miserable. She looked devastated when she saw you in this state but for real, you were more devastated than anything in this world. No one broke you as much as he did.
That night, you buried your face on the pillow and screamed your heart out. Tears kept falling down to your cheeks—staining them endlessly through the empty night. The pain, you had no idea how to put that into words because no words could describe how painful it was. They felt like burning thorns.
Your chest clenched and you could feel the pain in your heart every time you breathed. How could he do this to you? How could he give you the world, also the one who broke it? How could he pull you to him also the one who pushed you away silently?
Those things he did to you—you thought they were real. You thought when he said he loved you, they were real. You really thought those hugs and kisses he gave to you were real. You thought everything was real but they were not. Clenching on the blankets, You cried out when the painful thoughts came across your mind.
Your skin tingled every time you remember how he touched you. Those seemed real. You were blind.
But, you still wanted him even you were the one who walked away. You still craved for him even you were the one who broke up the relationship. But, what was the point of you staying when both of you were suffering? How crazy it was like when you were leaving his house even deep inside, your heart was screaming for him to stop you from leaving. The painful part—he didn’t do that.
You told yourself to never beg for someone to love you but this time, you were desperate for him. To love you.
You wanted him to love you. Love you just the way you loved him. Want you just the way you wanted him. Somehow, you knew you weren’t enough for him to do that. All these while, you weren’t enough for him from the very first start.
He didn’t love you. He loved her. That scattered you into pieces. What did she have that you don’t? Was it because you weren’t beautiful enough? Your efforts weren’t enough? Your love wasn’t enough? You have tried but none of them were enough.
You sobbed into the pillow—crying, screaming, wailing and trying to let out the pain that have been crawling inside your chest but nothing made this pain go away. It felt like a fire burning your heart into ashes and leaving you helpless.
God, what to do? What are you going to do with this broken pieces and being this deep in love with him but all you needed to do was forgetting him. You had no idea how you going to erase him from your mind when you still loved him this much.
God, this was just too unfair.
The night felt longer and colder—you wished it was just another nightmare. But, it wasn’t. Both of you have lost each other. Perhaps, it was only you who lost him.
PS: I hope none of you will ever experience this. And if you have been in one, I’m sorry, you deserve a whole universe. I have been in one and istg, it broke me a lot.
Let me know if you want a sequel. Comment or reblog! I’ll make it happen

Tumblr media
Two weeks have passed since you and Angel broke up. You’ve avoided the clubhouse and your tio has not forced you to come, respecting your wishes. You avoided Carniceria Reyes, getting your meat from the grocery store instead. You went from work to home, occasionally stopping by the grocery store or some fast food place. You somehow never ran into Angel, which you were thankful for.
There were times where you would listen in, trying to see if he brought someone home, but you never heard anything. You heard EZ, Coco and Gilly very often, but never another woman, which you were thankful for.
You thought the heartbreak you experienced with Diego was something, but this? It was the worst.
Half the time, you just found yourself crying without any provocation. And other times, you would think you’re at the mend, but the tears came again. You always thought people were ridiculous for crying over their significant other they had for a whopping month, but here you were doing the same thing.
The length of time didn’t matter, it was about the connection.
And you definitely had that connection with Angel.
Diego was more present in your life, which was no surprise for you. At times, you welcomed his distraction, but more often than not, you wanted to be left alone. He just wouldn’t leave you alone. You’ve made it clear to him numerous times that you weren’t interested, that nothing was ever going to happen, but he didn’t seem to care. He resonated that he just wanted to be there for you, to make up for lost times.
But you realized that at times, friendships ended for a reason. The more you spent time with Diego, the more you realized that you two grew up to be two different people and you’re not exactly sure if you wanted to have anything to do with him. Besides the fact he used you, Diego was very self-centered and he didn’t care for the consequences of his actions as long as it favored him.
Laying on the couch, you had Netflix on to Avengers, you’re not sure which one, but you just needed some noise to silence your brain. It worked every once in a while.
But most of the time it didn’t.
Diego was sitting on your armchair, just watching you. It truly pained him to see you at your current state. He thought he was doing you a favor by pushing Angel out of your life. What he failed to realize was just how much Angel truly meant to you. Even after Regina had called you out, you were never like this. After a few days, you were able to face Diego, but you couldn’t even bring yourself to face Angel. Diego would try to bring you to the clubhouse, you would refuse and throw a fit, it surprised Diego. You were never so cold towards him, but now, no matter how hard he tried, you just didn’t give him much of anything. You were cordial, would laugh at some of his jokes, but otherwise, he felt as if you didn’t want him there.
It was new.
He wasn’t used to this. You always smiled whenever he came around. You always cracked jokes with him, your witty response was what drew him to you in high school.
“You okay babe?” Diego watched as you looked at him, giving him a small smile. He knew you were hoping that would appease him, but it didn’t.
“I’ll be fine, can you stop asking me every thirty minutes?” You knew he meant well and you didn’t say it in a snappy tone, but being asked every thirty minutes was excessive.
“Sorry, just want to make sure you’re okay.” Diego felt small then, he was so used to you hanging on to his every word, blushing when he would be sweet to you. But this side of you, he’s never experienced it. You were just not having it.
“And I get that, but you’ve been here with me, I’m fine.” And just like that, your mood turned on him.
“But I know you’re not.” Diego countered.
You really didn’t need this tonight. All you wanted to do was watch the Avengers, ogle over Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, occasionally Robert Downey Jr. The last thing you needed was Diego’s constant nagging. It surprised you how you felt towards Diego. You remembered vividly how much you adored Diego and always craved his company, but now, it seemed like you couldn't get rid of him. It was so opportunistic of Diego to pop up the day after Angel broke up with you, your favorite snacks and drinks with him. You thought it was sweet and a much needed distraction. But now, you just didn’t want the company. You wanted to wallow, cry it out, drink it out and eventually move on.
You’re not exactly sure what Diego wanted, but you had a feeling it was along the lines of coming back to Stockton with him. And quite honestly, for you, he could go fuck himself.
“Diego, can you just go? I just want to be alone.” You sighed, not really wanting the company.
“Please stop pushing me away. I know he broke your heart and all I want to do is be there for you.” Diego pleaded.
You scoffed. “Very convenient of you to be here for me as soon as Angel broke up with me.”
“Well I blackmailed him into doing it so yes, I knew it was going to happen.” Diego realized his mistake as the words escaped his mouth. You were never supposed to find out. Diego didn’t want you to know that he purposely sabotaged your relationship.
“I’m sorry, what did you just say?” You sat up then, anger coursing through your veins. The nerve of this asshole. How were you ever friends with him?
“Look, Angel is in bed with the rebels, if your tio found out, he would murder Angel, Coco and Gilly, he might include you too because of how close you are to them.” It was part of the reason that Diego threatened Angel. It was to protect you. He knew how terrible it would look. You would be tried by association. Diego saw the way your face changed when he mentioned how Bishop may involve you in the trio’s mistake. You didn’t seem fazed by the information he dropped on you. Then it dawned on him. “You knew.”
“How could you do this to me?” You accused Diego, the tears welling up in your eyes. “You broke my trust so long ago, but you just shattered it now.”
Diego grimaced, his whole world was falling apart. This was not how he expected things to go. “Y/N, please.” He moved to kneel in front of you, but you immediately stood up, as if the mere contact of his skin to yours would cause a burn.
“You sabotaged my relationship, for what? I told you I was done.” You wrapped your arms around yourself as Diego watched you helplessly. “I love him Diego, and you ruined our relationship. I never did that to you, no matter how much it hurt seeing you with another woman. If you were happy I could live with that and be happy for you.”
“But you weren’t happy!” He argued.
“How would you fucking know that?! You’ve been out of my life for four years, no text, no call, no contact, nothing. You can’t just march back into my life expecting things as they were. They’re not. Back then, you were the only thing I saw, the most important thing to me.” You began to sob. You hated that you cried when you became far too emotional. “You didn’t appreciate me then and you still don’t appreciate me now. You’re just mad because you’re no longer number one, you’re doing that same pattern again. When you could feel me slipping away, you come and tell me what you think I need to hear in order for me to come back to you.” You wiped the tears coming from your eyes, the overwhelming feeling of betrayal sinking it. “It’s not going to work this time. You don’t love me Diego, you love this idea of me you have, the person that would do anything for you, the person that hung on to you with every word. The person who looked at you like you held the sun and the moon, she’s not here anymore.” Your eyes connected with Diego. “You let me go four years ago and you can’t take that back. I just want my friend, not this guy who wants to rekindle something that's never going to come back. I need my friend."
It dawned on Diego just how badly he hurt you. The toxicity of how your relationship with him became for you. He realized too late just how much you meant to him, how much he couldn’t live without you. He wanted to tell you that he was miserable without you and how that scene between you, Regina and himself always replayed in his mind. He wished that he was braver to face the consequences of being in a relationship with you.
You were right.
Love wasn’t about being selfish, it was about loving the person you love anyway you could and at times, that meant loving them from afar.
Diego watched as you continued to cry, covering your mouth to silence your sobs. The way your shoulders were shaking, he knew you could hold it in for so long. He cut the distance between you two and enveloped you in his arms.
He fucked up.
He was man enough to admit that.
“I’m sorry, I’m so fucking sorry.” Diego kisses the top of your head holding you.
You wrapped your arms around him as you cried it all out. The frustration of this whole situation. You were angry at Diego, but you were also angry at Angel. He should have told you, you two were a team now, but you figured that’s not how Angel saw things. Maybe this was Angel’s way out and Diego just conveniently took advantage of it.
“Come home nena, let home heal you.”
You didn’t respond to him because running away doesn’t solve anything. You’ll figure out how to deal with it, you always did. Santo Padre became your home, regardless if Angel existed in Santo Padre or not.
“You’re not forgiven, I hope you know that.” You informed him as you pulled away.
“I know, but I’ll make it up to you.”
“How can you? You sabotaged my relationship.”
“I will, you just have to let me in, let me be your friend again.”
“I don’t think I can, not right now, the wound is too fresh. I can see why you did what you did, but like I told you, we’re done.” You weren’t ready to forgive Diego. His indiscretions were too much this time around. Though, you would think that the whole issue with Regina would have been a much greater sin towards you, but it wasn’t. This one was, the one person that made you actually feel love was taken away from you by the one person you wished loved you as you loved him years ago. It was kind of ironic, a twisted vicious circle.
Diego nodded his head. “I’m going back to Stockton next week.”
“I’m glad. You don’t belong in Santo Padre.”
“I don’t. You’re right.” Diego wanted to add that he didn’t belong anywhere unless you were there, but he knew that wouldn’t get him much. “For what it’s worth, I truly am sorry for what I put you through. It was selfish of me to blackmail him, but I was looking out for you.” He took a USB stick from his pocket, placing it on your coffee table. “It has the copies of the pictures I took of Angel and them. As a show of good faith.”
“Just go, please.” You walked over to your door and opened it, surprised to see Angel standing there, his arm up to knock on the door.
He saw the tears in your eyes and he frowned. He heard you yelling and he immediately came out of his apartment to check on you. It pained him, but he knew Diego was over much more often. At times, he was listening intently to see if you let Diego in, but he always just heard Netflix and he was never happier to hear Avengers play over and over again.
Diego and Angel made eye contact. The pure hatred they had for one another was evident and you felt the tension in the air.
“I’ll see you later nena.” Diego kept his hands in his pockets, walking past Angel.
Angel opened his mouth to speak, but you slammed the door shut. Sighing, he turned around and Diego was already halfway down the walkway.
“Hey,” Angel called out, jogging after him. “What the fuck did you do?”
“None of your fucking business Reyes.”
“Anything that has to do with her is my business.”
Diego scoffed. “She knows. She knows I blackmailed you and apparently, she knows about your shit with Adelita. Are you fucking with me? Did you just take the bait to get out of your relationship with her?”
Before Angel even knew what he was doing he punched Diego causing him to fall on the floor. Diego tackled Angel to the ground, getting on top of him as he attempted to punch Angel as well. Angel was able to block most of his attempts before he turned him around, landing shot after shot on his face. All the frustrations, the anger, the absolute hurt Diego has caused was being released by Angel.
“You motherfucker!” Angel roared as he continued his assault.
“Angel!” He heard EZ call out to him.
He heard footsteps behind him, but he didn’t turn around. He continued his assault and he felt as if Diego was letting him. He was no longer defending himself.
EZ pulled Angel off of Diego with Gilly’s help. Coco checked on Diego and was slightly disappointed he still had a pulse. His face was bloody and he was groaning due to the pain.
“Fuck Angel, what happened?” Coco questioned.
“She was yelling at him, he upset her.” Angel was breathing heavy, all the adrenaline coursing through his veins. “She fucking knew.”
“What?” Coco, Gilly and EZ asked in unison.
“Y/N, she knew about the rebels.”
Coco and Gilly shared a look, which was not missed by Angel.
“You’re fucking kidding me, how can you involve her? If Bish found out, he would wring her alive too.” Angel scolded. “This is a team fucking effort, how can you not tell me?”
“Angel, it wasn’t on purpose. She was talking to us about the cartel and how she wished we weren’t involved and it just happened. I’m sorry man.” Coco knew and Gilly fucked up, but they trusted you and shared that information with you in full confidence.
“How much does she know?”
“All of it.”
Angel couldn’t believe this. It was the reason Coco pushed him to be truthful, to let her know about Diego’s scheme because she already fucking knew. He broke up with her thinking it was for the best while he deals with Diego when he could have avoided this all together.
They heard the door open and saw you walking out of your apartment. You looked at all five men, Diego on the floor holding a handkerchief over his mouth. Walking away, you shook your head, done with the Mayans drama for the night.
“Y/N,” you heard Angel call out after you.
Thankfully your car was right by the entrance of the gate. Quickly you got in your car, turned it off and reversed. You waited for the gate to open, locking your doors so Angel couldn’t open it. As soon as the gate was open enough, you drove off, leaving Angel behind.
He made his choice.
He chose not to trust you and let Diego come in between you even though he promised he wouldn’t. You understood the reasoning behind his madness, but that didn’t mean you were okay with it.
Angel watched as you drove away. He made his way over his bike, but EZ stopped him.
“Just give her time.” EZ advised.
“No, I fucked up. I can’t let her slip away.” Angel ran over to his bike and immediately went after you. He caught up to you quite easily and he followed you all the way to Bishop’s home.
He cussed under his breath. He turned his motorcycle off, going over to the driver’s side where you remained.
“Baby, open up.” Angel knocked on your window.
You remained looking straight ahead, grabbing your phone, you thought of calling Bishop to come outside, but you didn’t want him to fight your battles for you. And regardless of what happened with Angel, you didn’t want him to get in trouble.
“Y/N, listen to me, I fuck up. This is what I do. I was given one option and I didn’t stop to think of any others.” Angel explained. “I wasn’t going to let it go on for long, I was going to get you back. Please, mi Dulce, you have to believe me.”
His words were registering, they just weren’t sinking in. It was always like this. You were the sacrificial lamb or the one that they couldn’t risk anything for since their standing with Bishop and Marcus would be tainted. At times you wished that they knew that it was two separate entities. For you it was. You would never actually tell your tio’s about their member’s indiscretions towards you. Someone getting hurt over what happened behind closed doors was not your forte. There were times that you wanted to tell Marcus about what happened with Diego, to tell them what Regina said to you, but you didn’t want to, especially after what Regina said.
‘What are you going to do now? Cry to your tio’s?’ Regina scoffed. ‘Only reason all these Mayans are nice to you is because of who you’re connected to, otherwise, you’re just some fucking tomboy that they all want to screw just to see what’s underneath all that baggy clothes. Don’t flatter yourself honey, there’s nothing to look at so you can stop hiding behind those clothes.’
Bishop watched from the window, debating if he should go out or not. It was hard for him as your uncle to really let you fight your own battles, but this thing with Angel, it had to be between you two. If he held back on killing Diego for using you, he can hold back on hurting Angel till you gave him some sign to do so.
“Is that Y/N?” Bishop heard Marcus questioned.
“Yeah primo, she’s in her car talking to Angel.”
“Angel, good kid, with a good head on his shoulders.” Marcus took a drag of his cigar.
“Acts on impulse though.”
“You mean like you?”
Marcus and Bishop both chuckled.
“Just like me.”
“Is he going to be a problem like Diegito?” Marcus and Bishop knew all about Diego’s moves. It was naive of you to think that it wouldn’t get back to them, but they pretended it didn’t. They knew how it would greatly upset you if something happened to Diego and quite frankly, they didn’t want to deal with your mother who would most likely tear them a new one.
“No, he won’t. Angel’s too smart for that and he actually loves her.”
After fifteen minutes of sitting in your car, with Angel now leaning against it smoking, you decided it was time to go outside. Angel would never leave you alone. You looked down at your phone, Angel saw it was Diego calling you. Pressing the button on the side of your phone, you ignored Diego’s call. Looking over at Angel, you gestured for him to move away from the door. Angel did and you stepped out of your car, holding your hand up when Angel made a step towards you.
“You have to believe me, I know how this looks, but I couldn’t let him jeopardize all the work me, Gilly and Coco did.” Angel explained. He noticed that you appear thinner than before, your clothes had always been big on you, but it just looked much bigger than usual. He knew that your break-up took a toll on you, but it did on him as well. It was difficult for him to be near you, yet, he couldn’t come see you. He would see glimpses of you whenever you would come to the scrapyard to pick up some parts for the shop or when you would help Coco out with his kid, but it was rare. At times, he would wait for you to come home if he didn’t see your car there and it hurt whenever you came home with Diego. “I love you, I didn’t want to do this, Diego followed us to Santo Madre and it just fell apart from there.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
Angel froze then, he didn’t have a good explanation for that because he should have told you. It was what Coco advised him.
“Why didn’t you tell me you knew about the rebels?”
“So you’re saying this is my fault?”
“No, fuck!” Angel was frustrated, this wasn’t how he wanted this to go down. In his perfect world, after you found out that Diego blackmailed him, you would run into his arms and that was it, happily fucking ever after. But Angel realized this was his world and there was no such thing. “There’s no excuse, I should have told you, you’re my girl, I should have disclosed it with you.”
“It doesn’t matter now.”
“What?”
“It doesn’t matter now, you obviously didn’t trust me enough to tell me, which is fine. But I really wished that we didn’t start anything because at least I would still have you as my friend.” You crossed your arms over your chest, looking at the floor. You hated that it was difficult for you to make eye contact with someone when you were in a confrontation, but you were working on it. “For what it's worth, I’m glad I lost my virginity to you because it was with someone I cared about.” You smiled bitterly, trying your best to hold your head up high. “You hurt me worse than Diego did, because with him, at least I always misconstrued whatever the fuck our relationship was. With you, it was very clear that there was something there, I just misconstrued how much you trusted me.”
“Baby, please.” Angel pleaded, stepping closer to you, but you shook your head. “You know I love you, there’s no misconstruing anything, I fucking love you. All of this, I sacrificed this to assure my mission wouldn’t be done, but I would never leave you. You have no idea how difficult it was for me to end things with you.” Angel was going to wait till you woke up to break it off, but he wouldn’t have been able to do it. As soon as he saw the tears in your eyes, he would have retracted whatever statement he made and made it up to you the whole day.  “Just give me another chance.”
“You said you would never let Diego come in between us, remember? We went to the beach, you told me that you would never let Diego come in between us.”
Angel remembered that and he regretted letting Diego come in between you.
“I can’t take back what I did. But if you would give me another chance, I can show you that I am worthy of you. Diego’s the asshole in this story, I did what I did to protect you.” Angel knew he was protecting his own ass, but in some ways, like Coco said, he would be no good to you if he was six feet under.
"Do you really think so little of me? That you couldn't trust me with the truth. This is bigger than just you, I'm just as much a part of this and I should have had a say. You don't get to make the decisions for everyone Angel, you don't get to decide what's best for me.”
Angel realized then that he should have just told her. This was bigger than him and she should have been part of this decision. If he was going to make her his partner, he should have spoken to her and made the decision together. Coco was right, she’s been a part of this life all of her life, if anyone would understand his madness, it would be her.
"I was just trying to protect you"
“Don't. We both know that's bullshit. You were protecting yourself.” You spat out. “So when were you going to tell me that Diego was blackmailing you?”
“As soon as I fucking buried him across the border.”
You nodded your head, chuckling at Angel’s words. “Yeah?” You took the USB stick that Diego had left on your table. Tossing it to Ange he caught it with ease. “Make sure you clean up after yourself next time.” You made your way over to Bishop’s place, unlocking the door quickly so Angel didn’t have a chance to catch up to you.
When you walked in, you saw him through the window. He looked up at you then, wanting to come after you, but Bishop appearing at the window caused him to halt his steps. He would wait for you at your apartment, he wasn’t done with you before and he definitely wasn’t done with you now.
“Everything okay mija?” Marcus questioned.
You looked over at your tio, nodding your head, giving him a small smile. “Yes, I’m fine.” You sat beside him, which in hindsight may not be a good idea since he was smoking. Standing up once more, you go to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. “I heard Diego is going back to Stockton.”
“Yeah, Creeper is back, we don’t have much use for him now.” Bishop sat by Marcos.
You sat at the other end of the table, placing your glass in front of you. “Good, glad he can go home.”
“You know he stayed for you.” Marcus pointed out.
“I do, but it was futile, I’m not really sure what he wanted with that.”
Marcus and Bishop looked at one another, shaking their heads.
“Maybe he wanted to apologize for letting that bitch disrespect you.”
Your eyes widened at Bishop’s words, unsure exactly of what to say. Looking over at them, they had stern looks on their faces and you felt foolish thinking they didn’t know.
“You knew.”
“Of course we did.” Bishop scoffed at her suggestion that he or Marcus would know nothing about what transpired between her and Diego. “Your mother called us, demanding that we beat the fucker alive for what he did to you.”
It would be your mother.
Amaya Losa was a force to be reckoned with. She knew her connections and used it wisely. It was rare that she called Marcus or Obispo for anything, so when she did, they did whatever she requested, except for hurting Diego. They knew it wouldn’t do anything but hurt you further. Bishop was able to talk his sister down and think rationally. He wanted to be Diego, strip him of his patch, but he refrained from doing anything knowing it would upset you.
“Why didn’t you?”
“Cause you wouldn’t have wanted us to hurt Diego, regardless of what he did to you.” Marcus knew his niece. He remembered how sweet you were growing up, always wanting to please your mother since your father died when you were still young. You saw Marcus as your father figure and it’s never changed since then. You never wanted to do anything to tarnish their names within the club, which was why you acted as appropriately as you could. When Regina called you out, you swallowed your pride and still showed your face at Stockton.
You felt emotional, tears welling up in your eyes. Your tio’s always protected you, even if you didn’t know it. Knowing that they knew about Diego and chose to remain silent, it surprised you.
“Why didn’t you tell me you knew about Diego?” You looked at them, wiping the tears that escaped your eyes.
“We never liked Diego for you, the fact you distanced yourself from him, knowing how much you meant to him, it was punishment enough. Diego was not the same after you left. He was just another member wearing the patch with no direction. Regina always tried to push him to become something more, but you know him, he hated being pushed or challenged.” Bishop explained. Leaving scars on his body would have definitely appeased their anger and your mother’s, but the way Bishop and Marcus saw it, leaving him emotionally crippled due to you walking away was much more jarring than any physical damage they would do to him. “Without you there, he didn’t have much of a purpose. He was a good rider, but never reliable with guns. He had a mean right hook, but again, Diego was just a good foot soldier. He would never actually move up the ranks. You gave Diego confidence because of your connection to us, but without you there, he was just another member with a patch.”
“I think you’re giving me far too much credit.”
“Maybe, but you didn’t see him when you left.” Marcus made a few visits to Stockton and whenever he did, Diego was quiet, not as talkative as when you were there. He didn’t have anyone to bounce off his energy with, to balance him out.
“Why’d you come here? You rarely come visit me.” Bishop teased his niece, trying to lighten up the mood.
“Diego was at my apartment, he was annoying me so I decided to come here.”
“Why didn’t you just call Angel?” Bishop knew that Angel had been gunning for Diego for quite some time. Ever since the day you slapped Angel, he noticed that Coco, Gilly and Angel watched Diego like a hawk. Every move he made, they knew about. It was slightly unnerving, but he didn’t question it. As long as they didn’t kill Diego, he was fine with whatever else they decided to do. He knew the three stooges weren’t that idiotic to kill a member. “He followed you all the way here.”
“Angel and I broke up.”
“You think Angel’s going to give up on you?” Bishop knew for a fact that Angel was not.
It was only a matter of time till you let Angel back in again.
If Bishop had to lock you two in a room till you made up, he fucking would.
==============
The next day, you stopped your car in front of the motorcycles, watching as Angel, Coco and Gilly made their way out of the clubhouse. Coco seemed upset, immediately lighting up a cigarette as he walked ahead of Angel and Gilly. You could see Angel and Coco becoming heated with one another as Gilly looked on, you then heard Riz, and knew that some shit just went down.
“You picked the perfect fucking time to come.” You murmured, shaking your head.
Just as Riz was walking away, you saw another car pull up and you knew that car anywhere. It was Regina’s car. Diego came out of the clubhouse then, his face immediately souring when his eyes landed on the car.
You debated whether or not to get out of the car, not wanting to deal with Regina after having your talking with both Diego and Angel last night. But at this point, fuck it. If you were able to face off against Diego and Angel, Regina was nothing.
Sliding out of your car, Regina’s eyes immediately went to you and realization hit her face quick. She always had a hunch that Diego was staying in SoCal for you, but he didn’t think Diego would go back to you. She sunk her claws in and she never thought he would break away. Being with a Mayan provided a status in Stockton and she needed to keep that. Association with the Mayans provided you protection and it was something she needed after all the shit she spoke to others.
“You fucking kidding me right now? You came to Santo Padre to look for her?” Regina’s shrill voice rang out through the yard, an audience immediately forming.
Angel noticed your arrival then.
“Don’t fucking start Regina, the fuck are you even doing here?” Diego attempted to move her away, but her eyes were rooted on you.
“Three fucking years you haunted our relationship and you weren’t even fucking there. You happy now? You got your precious Diegito?” Regina made her way over to you, shrugging off Diego. “You must think you’re hot shit because Diego ran after you? It was only after I dumped him baby, and now I’m back for him, so just like before, you’ll be thrown to the side.”
Angel wasn’t going to let this bitch talk to his girl like that. He moved to stand behind you, wrapping his arm around your middle. “Is there a problem here babe?”
You couldn’t help but feel safe with Angel’s arm around you. His mere presence gave you strength and you were thankful for that, even if you were still upset at him.
“No, just Diego’s trash looking for it’s dumpster.”
You heard the roar of laughter coming from behind you, which you guessed to be Coco and Gilly. Your Tio Bishop and Tio Taza were at the porch, chuckling as well, hearing your words to Regina. She stood there, speechless, looking at Diego who was laughing as well.
“Fuck you, you’re nothing but trash. You think you’re hot shit cause you have all these men around you, let’s see how tough you are when they aren’t around.”
“Name the time and place, bitch.”
Before Regina could reply, Diego dragged her off to the side, leaving you with Angel.
“Damn baby, I love your feisty side.” Angel kissed your cheek, his arm still wrapped around you. “Doesn’t it feel good to be back in my arms?”
“Fuck you, Angel.”
“Name the time and place baby.” He was teasing you and it was irritating you, yet you tried to fight off a smile.
Angel knew he was far from being on your good side, but the fact that you weren’t ignoring him anymore, he took it as a good sign.
He’ll win you over, he was confident he would.
==============
EZ stood beside you, watching Angel fight Riz. Boys will be boys and you laughed at how easy it was to handle conflict within the Mayans. Beat the fuck out of each other in the ring and it was a done deal.
“So, how are you and my brother?” EZ handed you your usual pineapple cider they keep in stock for you.
“Nothing there.” You shrugged, wincing as Riz got Angel in his back.
“Right,” EZ chuckled. “You know why he did what he did. Angel is impulsive and he was trying to do everything to protect you.”
“I’m sure he was and so was Diego.” You took a swig of the cider in your hand, watching as Angel got the better of Riz. As much as you were upset at Angel, you still had to admire how fucking good he looked. “Wished people would see that my tio’s and myself are two different entities.”
“Angel sees that, but he also knows that you two have not been two separate entities for a year now. If he’s doing something, you’re more than likely to be involved as well.” EZ explained. “Bishop is a smart man, and he knows you and Angel well. He won’t be able to separate you two when it comes to shit like this cause he knows Angel wouldn’t be able to hide it from you. Regardless of how Angel handled things, you know he loves you.” You heard the gunshot, signaling the end of the fight. “You weren’t the only one broken up about it, do you think I like sleeping on my brother’s fucking couch? Nope, but I did it to make sure that he didn’t drink himself to oblivion.”
You two watched as Angel hugged it out. Angel looked over at you, a smirk on his face as the blood dripped down his cheek, sweat making his chest glisten. You watched as the girls waited for him and Riz by the entrance of the ring, waiting to patch him and Riz up after their fight.
“Go patch up your man.” EZ playful elbow you on the side.
“Go patch up big brother, Ezekiel. Sure you’re used to it.” You teased him right back.
“Mi dulce, come help me clean up.” Angel stopped by the clubhouse entrance, pulling your attention away from EZ.
“Your brother is calling you.”
“Yeah, no, think that call was for you.” EZ walked away, leaving you with Angel.
“I can clean you up Angel.” One of the girls who followed him to the entrance offered.
“Go right ahead sweetie, don’t forget to kiss his boo boo’s too.” You winked at Angel, downing the rest of your drink and turning away from him. Looking at the time, it was nearing nine in the evening, good time to leave.
“You really gonna let some other woman clean me up?” You were started by Angel’s sudden presence, moving away from him.
“Can you not do that?” You placed a hand over your chest to calm your heart. Being around Angel usually caused your heart rate to rise, but pair that up with being scared, it made it worse.
“Come on, clean me up.” He took your hand, pulling you towards the clubhouse.
“Angel, that girl literally fucking offered.” You pointed out as he opened the door.
“Don’t give a fuck, I want you.” Angel led you to his room at the clubhouse, opening the door and closing it behind him. He sat down on his bed, his eyes on you. Crossing your arms over your chest, you were slightly nervous. Being alone with Angel was dangerous for you.
“Come on Angel, don’t do this.” You leaned against the door, thinking of a way to get yourself out of this one.
“Don’t do what? All I’m asking is for you to clean up my wounds, you did it before we got together, why can’t you do it now?”
“Angel, things are different and you know that.” You sighed, shaking your head. You opened the door and you heard him get up. “I’m just getting a wet cloth, sit down.” And you did as you told him, coming back with a wet cloth and stepping in between his legs. You cleaned the dried blood on his face, thankful that the cut on his nose was not gaping, meaning it didn’t need any stitches. “You should shower.” You instructed him.
“You gonna join me?”
“Angel, I told you, we’re not okay, far from it. Just give me time.” You cupped his face, he leaned against your palm, sighing.
“I’m sorry, Y/N, I really am.”
“I know,” you stepped away from him.
“I don’t want to lose you. No, I can’t lose you.” Angel hated how dependent he became towards you, but it was difficult not to be. The feeling you provided by your mere presence was never something he experienced. All he wanted was to be around you, to be with you.
You stepped back in between his legs and kissed him, his arms immediately wrapping around you, pushing you against him. Pulling back you rested your forehead against his, he kissed you again. You pulled away, putting more distance between you two.
“You won’t lose me. Just need time to figure some things out.”
“We can figure it out together baby.”
“No, this is just on me. Got to work on me before we can be really together.” You wrapped your arms around him, missing the hugs Angel would give you. “I love you, Angel.”
“I love you too.”

The next morning, you had a pep in your step. Angel left you in bed with breakfast and a note saying he went on a run.
Coming downstairs you heard Angel’s voice, you assumed he was on the phone and not talking to the devil herself.
“Adelita, this is a surprise.” Angel backed away from her when he heard your voice.
“Y/N,” she smiled and pulled you into a hug. Backing away she twirled your hair around your finger. “I see the drought is over. Who’s the lucky guy?” If Adelita wasn’t so damn conceited she would’ve smelled Angel on you. But of course, you wouldn’t be able to bag a guy like Angel.
Angel cleared his throat and stepped in between the two of you, grabbing onto Adelita’s hips. “Uhh, let’s leave Y/N alone. I’m sure she’s not the kiss and tell type.”
“Not around you.” She joked, patting Angel’s chest. “Once we’re done talking me and you can have some girl talk like old times. Just you’ll be the one sharing stories this time.”
The nerve. This is the second time in your life that you wanted to knock Adelita out. “Yeah sure.” You gave her a tight smile over your shoulder and went back to your room.
While walking you could hear the hushed whispers and the sounds of lips kissing. As soon as you knew you were out of sight you ran to your room and immediately started packing.
“What are you doing?” Right after Adelita left, Angel ran to you. “What does it look like Angel?”
Tugging your pants out of your hands, Angel stopped you. “You don’t have to leave.”
“And what?!” You screamed in his face. “Stay here with you and Adelita?!”
He tried to hug you, but you pushed him away. “You really must be crazy. How are you just gonna take her back?”
“She was my fiancée, she deserves the benefit of the doubt.” Angel explained like it was a one size fits all reason.
“Oh, the same fiancée that dumped you once your future was unsure.” You scrunched your face up. “The same fiancée that told you it was over through a letter? The same fiancée that was all over social media hanging out and partying while you were in rehab? The same fiancée that so happens to ‘coincidentally’ come back into your life after you just made the biggest comeback ever?” You brushed past him went out the door. “Yeah, you can miss me with that bullshit.”
Angel trailed behind you, hoping he could amend things with you. “Y/N, I’m sorry.”
Whipping around you shoved him. “Yeah, you are. You know honestly, I don’t feel bad for myself as much as I do for you. I pray to God that he never makes me as pathetic as you. Have a nice life, Angel Reyes.”
Opening the front door revealed a sympathetic Mr. Felipe and an angry EZ. They both tried to stop you, but you kissed each man goodbye promising to keep in touch.
EZ waited until he saw you drive away to attack his brother. “What the fuck did you do?” Angel blocked some of his brother’s punches, but EZ managed to get some in.
Felipe was able to pull his youngest off his eldest. “EZ that’s enough!”
“Nah, Pop! You saw her. She practically ran out in tears.”
“It’s none of your damn business, Ezekiel!” Angel tried to walk away from them, but Felipe stopped him. “Explain yourself, son.”
“Adelita.” Both his father and brother groaned at that name. Now they knew why you ran out like that.
EZ didn’t have time for whatever excuse that his brother had. “You two deserve each other. And I hope when you come to your senses it’s too late.” He slammed the door on the way out, too disgusted with Angel to stay.
A few moments later Felipe followed his son out. “Pop,” Angel cried out, hoping to gain some sort of sympathy. “Not right now, Angel.” He stopped at the door and looked back at his son. “Unlike your brother I hope it won’t be too late for you to come to your senses. When you stick your head out of your ass, you and Y/N are perfect for each other.”
Once he was alone, Angel sat on the staircase wondering if he made the right decision.

Losing Angel just wasn’t about your heart breaking, but also losing your best friend. Those months spent with him was probably the best time of your life. The only thing that got you through the days were work and Rio.
At first, he assured you that he could just be your friend but someway somehow, he wormed his way into something more. You told him that you didn’t want him as some rebound, but he cockily said, “Ain’t no way I’m a rebound.” So, you stayed and started dating him.
You were reading a book when Rio came and laid his head in your lap. “Mamaaaa,” he sung kissing the little bit of your exposed fupa. “What do you want?” He was only this adorable when he wanted something like that extra cookie that would mess up his diet. “Nothing extra. Just go to dinner with me.”
“That’s it?” You closed your book and set it down to look at him curiously. “Yeah, I got a dress picked out, hairstylist and makeup artist on the way.”
“Wait, what kind of dinner is this?” Dinners with Rio never required all the hoopla. “The league always hosts a dinner for all the teams in the semifinals.”
“I know, I know, I know,” Rio trampled over your words, not letting you get a word in. “I know that dumbass is gonna be there, but I think it would be the perfect place to show him what he’s missing out on.”
If you went this would be the first time you saw Angel and you weren’t sure if you were ready for that. Last time he made you look like a fool. “I don’t know Rio.”
Sitting up, Rio picked you up and sat you down in your lap. “But mama,” he attacked your neck with his lips, adding a little bite every now and then. “I’ll be bored without you. And who am I gonna shove in a closet and fuck her like a dirty girl?”
“You’ll be fine without me for a couple of hours.”
“Alright, time for the big guns.” Rio led you to his bedroom with a covered mannequin in the center. Unveiling the mannequin, he revealed the most beautiful dress. You would be crazy to not wear that dress.
Tumblr media
“Ok, I’ll go!” Rio pulled you by your hips against him. “Good, I thought I would have to use my other negotiation methods.”
“Nah, I still need convincing.” Rio backed you into the bed and pulled off your shorts. “Okay, but you got 15 minutes to cum two times before the stylist gets here.”
Tumblr media
Angel was doing his best at trying to keep his cool. Adelita was making her way through all the owners, sponsors, and players ‘networking’ to gain traction for her cause. It wasn’t that he didn’t support, actually he was very supportive of it, but this night was in celebration of him and the other players. And he couldn’t ask her to quit it without looking like a complete douchebag.
“Are you two seriously making bets?” Angel wasn’t paying that much attention to Coco and Gilly until they said Adelita’s name. They were betting on when she would corner their team owner, Miguel Galindo. “How else are we gonna pass the time? Ain’t like there’s scintillating conversation.” Coco collected money from Riz and put it in his breast pocket.
“Pendejo,” Angel ordered another drink and while waiting for it he heard Coco whistle. Turning around to see what made Coco speechless, Angel was glad that he already set his old glass on the bar top, because he would’ve dropped it. There you were in the most beautiful dress looking like a goddess, but his mood soured when he saw that it was Rio escorting you.
Bishop walked up beside him and smacked him in the back of the head. “Fucking dumbass. Now she’s with that asshole.” Angel opened his mouth to say something, but Bishop held up his hand. “I don’t wanna hear it. And you better leaver her alone, she looks happy.” His coach pointed his chin towards you and Rio kissing. Angel slammed back his drink and ordered another one. This was about to be a long night.
“I’m gonna go say hi to Bishop and the guys.” Rio looked for your friends and saw that Angel was right there next to them. “You sure? You want me to go with you?” It warmed your heart that Rio was so protective over you. It was unfamiliar territory for you. Usually, you were the one protecting others. “No, you stay here with your team, I’ll be okay.” Rio quirked his eyebrow, questioning you. He was trying to break you out of the habit of you masking your feelings, pretending you’re fine when you’re really not. “Rio, I promise. I’ll be good.” You patted his chest and started to walk away, but then he caught Angel staring at the two of you real hard and he couldn’t help but give him a show.
Spinning you around into his arms, Rio smashed his lips against yours. His still taste a little bit of yourself from when he wanted to make you his meal. Rio’s hands drifted to your ass and you did little to stop him. Ending the kiss, he tugged your bottom lip slowly releasing it and ending your connection. “Go say hi to your friends.” He whispered in your ear, fixing some of your lipstick that got under your lips.
Angel wanted to knock Rio the clean the fuck out. Who the fuck did he think he was practically dry humping you in public like that? “You better keep your mouth shut. You lost your privileges to be mad.” Coach Hank warned Angel as he saw you approach the group.
“Hey guys!” You were genuinely happy to see all of them. Since, you cut off contact with Angel you haven’t talked to any of them at all.
They all lined up to hug you, almost fighting each other to be the first one. But Angel waited his turn. He had a lot more to say than just hi.
It was a bit awkward at first. Neither one of you made the first move. Eventually, you threw yourself in his arms and you were almost a goner. You did not know that hugging him would bring back all those feelings you tried to bury deep down.
“You look beautiful.” He kept a hand around your wrist, his thumb stroking the inside of it. “Thank you.”
His eyes kept dipping to your dress. There were some cut out pieces revealing more skin than he cared for. “Where’s the rest of your dress?”
Snatching your wrist away, you crossed your arms over your chest to keep yourself from slapping the shit out of Angel. “Rio doesn’t seem to mind.”
Angel invaded your space and glared down at you. “Do I look like Rio?”
“Do I look like Adelita?”
Angel bit the inside of his cheek. He knew he had no reason to question you. You weren’t his, but damn it he wanted you to be.
“This was a mistake coming over here. Go back and talk to your fiancée.”
“She’s not my fiancée.”
Skrtt, you stopped your retreat. “Say what?”
“I said she’s not my fiancée.” Angel wasn’t able to explain further. Adelita finally came and graced you with her presence. She didn’t pay any attention to Angel. All her attention was on you. Adelita was actually pulling you away to talk to one of the other coaches about joining their staff.
This was almost as torturous as talking to Angel. Adelita barely let you get a word in. She was acting like she was your damn agent. Luckily, Rio came and saved the day.
“Where are we going?” You whispered as he pulled you into the hallway. “Don’t worry about it.” He jiggled each door until he found an unlocked door and pushed you through.
“Rio no,” you weakly protested clutching onto his tux. “What? You don’t wanna give daddy a little something something?” He pouted, knowing it was your weakness.
“Okay, but it has to be fast.” Rio kissed you some more knowing how turned you got by simply making out.
Due to your combined breaths getting heavier neither one of you heard the turning of the doorknob. It wasn’t until the light from the hallway shone on you and Rio, exposing your dirty deed.
“Oh shit, my bad dawg!” Angel lifted his head from Adelita’s neck and apologized to the other couple. He didn’t mean it all. Angel saw Rio lead you to the hallway and by the mischievous look he had on his face, he knew his opponent was up to no good.
The little smirk on Angel’s face told you that none of it was an accident. “It’s okay, I wasn’t feeling well anyway. I think we should go home.” You smirked back at Angel. He wasn’t the only one that can play games.
“C’mon Angel, they need to get home.” Adelita winked at you and led an unwilling Angel back to the party.
You were almost out until you got stopped by Mr. Galindo. He was the only team owner you hadn’t talked to that night.
With Miguel Galindo trying to convince you to join his staff and Adelita standing next to you patiently waiting for her chance, Angel and Rio were left alone with each other.
“I don’t know what you’re doing, but stay the fuck away from Y/N. You’re no good for her.” Angel had to refrain from snatching up Rio as he laughed. “You got jokes man.” Rio stepped closer to him, they were basically nose to nose. “At least when I make her cry it’s from my dick and not from being a dickwad.”
Out of the corner of your eye, you kept watch on Rio and Angel. Those two couldn’t be alone without trying to fight in the first 30 seconds.
The scene before you was getting to be too much, but you couldn’t do anything without being disrespectful towards Miguel. Thankfully, Coco and Gilly were watching them too and were able to pull Angel away.
Somehow Miguel talked you into staying for the entire dinner. And because the universe loved you so much you and Rio were assigned to the same table as Angel and Adelita.
After Adelita formally introduced herself to him. And you didn’t know if it was the alcohol or not, but it seemed that she was flirting with Rio. Not that you had anything to worry about. Rio wasn’t entertaining her at all.
“She take my money when I’m in need. Yeah, she’s a trifling’ friend indeed.” As soon as you recognized the notes, you tried to stomp Rio’s foot, but he was too quick.
“Huh, what was that?” Adelita didn’t quite catch what Rio was saying. “Oh nothing, I just got a song stuck in my head.  Now I ain’t saying she a gold digger. But she ain’t messing’ with no broke bro.”
Angel had to admit to himself that was funny, but ain’t no way he’ll let Rio know that.
“Stop it!” You whispered in Rio’s ear. Even if Adelita was oblivious to him making fun of her, everyone else surrounding them wasn’t. “Now you know you always tell me that but we both know you don’t mean it hear or at home.” Heat crept up your face and all you could do was hide your face in the crook of Rio’s neck. Rio slightly turned to kiss your forehead while fingering the bracelet he got you.
Once the glint of the bracelet caught Adelita’s eye she snatched your wrist from Rio. You didn’t mind though because you and Rio were off in your own little world. Not even the harsh stare from Angel could tear your eyes away from Angel.
“Ouch! What the fuck, Angel?” Adelita rubbed at her ankle. “My bad.” He frowned as Rio smirked at him knowing full well he was the intended target.
As the night went on, Rio’s and Angel’s antics went up. You don’t know what you did, but you had two petty kings arguing over you. And at times it was funny but also stressful.
The little innuendos concerning you flew over Adelita’s head but everyone else was getting them. They were getting so vicious that Coco and Gilly started another bet on who would swing first.
The event was concluding when things got downright ugly. Angel once again voiced his concerns of Rio dating you. Rio had enough and went for the low blow. “You’re just mad because I already took your girl and I’m about to take your city and your ring.”
Coco and Gilly’s bet was long forgotten as Angel went for Rio. “Don’t be mad, Reyes. I’m just spitting facts. If I’m wanna keep it hunnid, if I threw the right amount of cash, I could have your other girl too.”
“RIO!” You scolded him trying to pull him away. Thank god, Adelita was nowhere near to hear that little bit.
“Nah, babe fuck that.” Rio shrugged you off of him and stood toe to toe to Angel. “You ain’t on top no more big dawg. Get use to it.”
Angel just shook his head and turned around like a wounded animal. “Coco, give Gilly his money.”
“What?” Coco asks too late because Angel threw the first punch at Rio. And once they started fighting it was hard to get them to stop. Even Gilly couldn’t hold Angel. It wasn’t until you did something that they stopped.
Bishop tried to stop you once he noticed what you were attempting to do, but you slipped right past him. The boys were in between blows giving you the perfect opportunity to step in the middle of them. As soon as you became an obstacle each man lowered their fist.
Angel actually started to cower some when he saw your face. This was like your training face but a thousand times worse. Rio never saw you this pissed and he was beginning to get scared to breath the wrong way. Either way both men knew to shut the hell up.
Facing Angel first, you shoved him in the chest. “Angel Ignacio Reyes, I know you were raised better than this.”
“I’m sorry.” Angel mumbled, his eyes downcasted.
“And you!” You faced Rio, pointing a finger in his face. “I’ll deal with you when we get home.”
“Next time leave your petty bullshit for the football field.” You told the both of them before heading out without even waiting for Rio.
Damn, you knew you should’ve stayed your behind at home.

Is She the Reason?
Pairing: Angel Reyes x Black!Reader
Summary: Angel has been distant lately and Y/N discovers the reason why.
Warning(s): Foul language, angst, cheating :(
Word count: 1,831
Author’s Note: I’ve been in a sad mood so this kind of came out of that. Plus of course the Destiny’s Child song of the same title was inspiration. There is kind of a prequel in my docs that may get posted in the future. We shall see. Also the text in the gif isn’t relevant, I just needed sad Angel. Questions, comments, and concerns are always welcome. My inbox is open. Enjoy!
Part 2
Tumblr media
The MC was dealing with a very busy couple of weeks. With the Galindos now working with Rebels, the Mayans were needed to help facilitate the relationship incognito. Angel had a position now so his responsibilities were even greater and you’d seen him less and less. He used to call and text frequently, but you stopped receiving those all the time as well. Something felt wrong, but you chalked it up to him just being busy. You missed just being in his arms and seeing that annoyingly sexy smile on his face. You knew the guys were running day in and day out so you wanted to do something for them. With the help of Chucky, you organized a special dinner for everyone. You knew it could get interrupted with urgent club news, but you had to try.
With meat provided by Pops and sides prepared by you, the boys practically had a feast laid out in the middle of the clubhouse. You had come to really care about all members of the club. Your father was a retired police captain who always had a soft spot for the club. He was actually friends with Bishop and Marcus. You’d known them all your life. Of course EZ, Coco, and Gilly had a special place in your heart because of their closeness to Angel. They became like brothers to you quickly. EZ was the baby brother with the gentle soul, Coco was the wild one, and Gilly was just so damn lovable. They were the perfect balances for Angel and you were so happy he had them in his life.
As you finished making sure everything was laid out to perfection, you heard the rumblings of engines outside.
“They’re here!” Chucky excitedly declared and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Yes I can hear that Chucky. Start opening some beers up, yeah?” You suggested and he nodded his head as he followed instructions. You had just made your way from behind the bar when the doors opened.
“Something smells good as fuck in here. No way Chucky cooked.” Bishop stated as he walked in with Taza and Loza behind him.
“Absolutely not. I love y’all too much for that. I figured you busy men deserved a nice home cooked meal. Dig in, Jefe.” You announced, smiling at them. Obispo was like a second father to you. Your father and him had developed a highly unlikely friendship that was still strong after all these years. They played cards every week.
“Gracias, chica.” Bishop replied, placing a paternal kiss on the side of your head before walking towards where Chucky had beers lined out.
You were greeted and hugged by the rest of the gang, with Coco and Gilly pulling up the rear.
“You cooked, Y/N? Please tell me you made mac and cheese.” Coco asked, with the closest thing to a pout on his face that you’d ever see.
“Nope. Not this time.” You lied, just to see his and Gilly’s faces dropped. It was so funny.
“I’m just playing. Of course I-” You couldn’t even finish your sentence because Gilly and Coco were racing each other to get to the pan first.
“Y’all better share!” You yelled after them, laughing and shaking your head before heading towards the door. Angel hadn’t been inside yet so you figured he was outside talking to EZ. You had on your favorite pair of jeans that hugged your ass just how he liked it and you had recently taken down your braids to let your natural hair breathe. You had a fresh twist out and you knew your tight curls bouncy and shining in the sunlight.
As you stepped outside, you spotted Angel immediately. He was leaning against the side of the opened van door speaking with a woman sitting down on the van’s floor. You tried not to let yourself be the jealous type. Angel was a very attractive man that often had girls trying to holla at him. He never seemed to entertain them. Nah, it wasn’t the fact that he was talking to a woman that bothered you. It’s the way he was talking to her.
He was completely engrossed by her. You could only see his profile but you recognized the softness in his face. It’s the same look he would give to you. The look that had you feeling like you were the center of his universe. Your breath caught in your throat as you watched the genuine smile that spread across his face as he became amused at something the woman said. You watched his hand run up her forearm and give it a gentle squeeze. There was nothing overtly sexual happening, but the intimacy of it all broke your heart.
The woman wasn’t someone familiar to you. At first. But then you spotted the unique tattoo on her neck. You had heard that tattoo described before. Adelita. The rebel leader. She was beautiful. There was a quiet power to her that almost pulled you in. All of the dots began connecting in your head. All those times he mentioned Adelita and how smart she was, how brave she was, what a badass she was. You thought it was just respect, but now you see it’s more than that. Something was going on between them.
Noise caught your attention and from your peripheral you spotted EZ coming out from his RV. You watched him assess the situation in seconds flat. You turned your head to make eye contact with him and the sad smile on his face, the apology written clear as day there, took your breath away. You felt a tear slide down your face and you turned around to quickly wipe it away.
When you turned back around, EZ had walked over and broken up the conversation. Angel finally turned around and saw you there. You could have swore you saw a quick flash of guilt cross his face before he walked over to you.
“Hey querida.” He kissed your forehead and pulled you into a hug.
Even with your confusion, heartbreak, and anger you couldn’t help completely folding into the hug. Your arms wrapped tightly around his waist and you found yourself inhaling his scent. “Hi.” You breathed out as you finally pulled back from the hug.
“Hey Y/N/N, what are you doing here?” EZ asked, giving you a one armed squeeze.
“I cooked dinner for y’all. There’s plenty inside. Even for your friend here.” You mentioned, with a nod in the woman’s direction. “Except maybe the mac and cheese if someone didn’t stop Coco and Gilly from being hogs.”
“Gracias,” Adelita told you before walking inside the clubhouse with EZ. You watched as Angel watched her for a second before dragging his eyes back to you. There was a silence between y’all before you broke it.
“Is she the reason?” You quietly asked Angel.
“What?”
You scrubbed your hands over your face, trying to hold yourself together. “Is she the reason? The reason you don’t call like you used to? Come around my place like you used to? Or put it on me hard like you used to do?”
“Y/N, it’s not like that.”
“I didn’t ask what it’s like. I asked if she’s the reason that my calls didn't reach you? The deepest of my love couldn’t please you? Tell me the truth right fucking now. I deserve to know.”
There was another silence between y’all as you just stared in his eyes. You were begging, practically pleading with him to tell you that you were wrong. You were putting too much on nothing. That there was no one else… “It wasn’t supposed to be like this.” Angel sighed, and you felt your heart drop into your stomach
“No..no, no, NO fucking dammit Angel!” You shoved him hard, your heartbreak manifesting as anger. “You promised me…”
He stumbled back a little at your push. “I’m so sorry Y/N. We were just working together, but something about her I-”
You cut him off with an angry hiss, “Shut up!” You didn’t want to hear all the things he found so wonderful about her. They didn’t matter. You just started pacing back and forth in front of him. You guys were lucky the yard was closed today and that EZ probably told everyone to stay inside and give y’all space. But honestly, you didn’t even care if you made a scene right now.
“You told me that before you stepped, you’d let me know. You promised you’d tell me if anything changed. You promised to be honest. You promised not to embarrass me. You promised, Angel, you promised…” Your voice broke as the full realization hit you. He’d been carrying out this affair for however long and he didn’t have the decency to tell you. You’ve been worried about him this whole time, but he’s been having himself a great time. You couldn’t stop the tears that flowed.
His eyes closed in guilt and sadness as you started to cry. He never wanted to hurt you. He just got into a situation that spiraled out of control. “Lo siento mucho cariño.”
You just shook your head, unable to believe his words. Unable to believe what was happening. “Before you let me see you with her, you could have told me a change was gonna come. Told me something, anything...but no. How could you let it go this far if you had doubts that I wasn’t the one?”
“I didn’t have any doubts. It didn’t happen like that. I love you, but I just….I can’t explain it.”
“Love? You love me?” You repeated, your voice hoarse and breaking with the word. This wasn’t love. Love should never have so much confusion. Your mind was spinning and you needed to leave. Immediately. “I can’t do this.” You try to walk away but he grabs you.
“Y/N wait, please…” He pleaded, taking your hand and that physical contact caused you to snap.
“GET OFF ME!” You yelled at him, snatching your hand back. All thoughts of not making a scene left your mind. You were reacting from pure hurt. Your scream brought out the men from the clubhouse. “And don’t ever touch me again. We’re done, Angel. We’re so fucking over. You need to get your shit together, but I’m not gonna wait around until you do.”
And then you were rushing to your car and speeding out of the scrap yard. Angel tried his best to keep himself together even as he felt like his heart was beat out of his chest. He wanted to race after you but all he could do was watch you go. He felt someone step up beside him.
“I thought I told you not to be stupid, Angel.” Bishop told him, eyes still on the road your car sped down. He was pissed.
“Bish, I-” Angel started, but was interrupted by Bishop’s fist meeting his mouth. He fell to the ground, wiping at his busted lip.
“Just stay away from her.”

Angst
"You gonna have to tell my brother sooner or later mamita." she could hear the words coming out of his mouth but it didn't mean she had to listen to them. If Angel wanted to continue running behind Luisa and a baby that wasn't his then so be it. If he wanted to ignore her and play house with his precious  “Adelita” then he could go right ahead.
"Escolho mais tarde Ez, now can we talk about something else?"
"No Sol, when else are we gonna talk about this huh? When that kid's sixteen and wondering who the fuck its dad is? You seen what that shit did to Coco ma. Você realmente quer esconder isso dele?"
“Sim, as long as I have to Ezekiel because I refuse to let your hard headed brother hurt my baby the way I let him continuously hurt me.” She says placing the last glass on the shelf behind her. The others had been called to some urgent meeting and Ez was left on cleanup duty with her.
Ez had no idea what had transpired between Solana and Angel but he knew it had to be something serious if she was showing up at his pop’s house at 3am with tears streaming down her face. He didn’t question her, just let her cry it out against his chest before she finally stopped and told him about her pregnancy.
He had no idea how Angel was gonna handle another baby mama but he knew that Solana meant more to Angel than he let on. They all grew up together, from an early age Angel was always protective of her - he beat her first boyfriend to a pulp for trying to force himself on her- just as he was protective of Ez. La sangre es la sangre so Ez knew that all she had to do was talk to Angel and sort shit out because deep down Ez knew that fatherhood was something Angel wanted to experience.
Wiping her hands on the towel she was using, she steps around the bar throwing it on the counter. “ I promised Letty I’d make tres leches so I gotta make a run to the grocery store real quick.” She places a kiss on his cheek and throws a quick “I’ll see you later Ez” over her shoulder as she exits the clubhouse.
Truth be told Sol had already made Letty tres leches before she came into work but she knew that if she didn’t leave she’d get Ez involved in her and Angel’s drama and she refused to come between the both of them. ____
“He’s beginning to have doubts Miguel.”
“Then make him have faith again linda. You know as well as I do that in order to keep the Mayans on our side we need him and his brother. Emily can handle Ezekiel now make me proud and handle Angel.” Miguel leaves with a kiss to her cheek.
The power that Miguel Galindo had provided had no doubt gone to her head especially now that she was carrying his baby. She held it over Emily’s head that it didn’t matter that she was his wife, Miguel would seek comfort in her because they were of the same world - a world he felt like Emily could never fully accept or understand.
Adelita smirks as Miguel gives her exactly what she wants. It wasn’t so much as Angel having doubts about her baby being his but the person instilling those doubts in him. Solana had come back into Angel’s life a couple months before his brother did but from what Angel had told her they had never lost touch with each other. Adelita didn’t think that his bond with the woman would interfere with her plans but she really should’ve known better given the way she’s seen Angel look at her or the way he lost his shit when Potter had her kidnapped. Though she had what she wanted, Adelita was jealous of the woman. No matter how much she preached that her and Angel were just business partners she had to admit that a small part of her liked him.
She wasn’t blind and apparently neither was Solana if Angel was calling Adelita by her name the last time she went down on him. The solution was simple really, scare Solana off and Angel would be hers.
“Nestor,” she calls out to the head of security.
“Si,”
“Esos conejos que te pedí que pusieras en  lugar antes, están listos?” She questions.
“They are ready and awaiting orders.” He reports back to her and she smiles.
“Make it hurt but don’t kill her.”
Nestor nods and pulls out his phone to give the orders. Adelita knew she was playing with fire, especially if Angel found out but in that moment she didn’t care.  ____
They waited until her car was parked before they surrounded her. Letty who was sitting on the front porch waiting for her like she usually does instantly becomes alert and grabs the screwdriver she had hidden under the chair.
Solana exits the car and they start crowding and pushing at her. Letty moves to make her way down the steps but Solana’s voice telling her to get in the house stops her in her tracks. Solana shakes her head when she sees Letty make another move towards her.
She was unarmed and outnumbered. They were clearly there for her so she had to ensure that their attention didn’t shift from her to Letty. She’d never forgive herself if something had happened to the young girl.
Letty reluctantly turns and heads back up the steps and goes into the house, opening the front window and immediately calling Ez because she knew the others were busy after speaking to her dad a few minutes before.
“Get to Sol’s place now!” Is all she says before hanging up.
“So Adelita can’t do her dirty work herself?” Solana knew she wasn’t going to get out of this unscathed but the only thing on her mind right now was to protect Letty and her unborn child and if that entailed letting them have the upper hand then so be it.
One of them behind her pushes her forward and grabs both her hands pulling them behind her back. As soon as she’s somewhat restrained the others start beating on her. A right hook to her jaw has her spitting blood in the face of the person in front of her which earns her a slap to the face. The person holding her hands lets go and grabs onto her hair pulling her head back on their shoulder.
“Adelita sends her apologies that she can’t be here to do this herself.” The man whispers before flinging her body to the ground.
“Adelita can kiss my ass,” she smiles, knees pulled up to her chest and arms holding them close as kicks start raining in from every direction. The last thing she feels is a kick to the back of her head before she passes out. ____
“What the fuck do you mean we can’t see her?” Angel shouts at the doctor. It had been five days since she’d been admitted to the hospital, five hours since she woke up and Angel was losing his mind.
The only person that had been allowed inside her room within that time was Letty who had since been taken back to the clubhouse by Coco.
“She’s asleep Angel, her body needs all the rest it can get and she’s made it clear that she doesn’t want to see you right now.”
It stings. Angel knows that what had happened to the woman he loved was because of his foolish behavior. Their last conversation on repeat in his head. All the spiteful shit he’d said to her simply because he refused to believe that Adelita’s baby was Galindo’s and not his. He’d been so excited at the idea of fatherhood that he had bypassed all the facts and hurt the one person who was always down for him no matter how fucked up his decisions were or the consequences.
He couldn’t lose her. He’d do whatever it takes to earn her forgiveness. Angel looks to Ez who’s shaking his head at him silently letting him know that whatever he was about to do was a shit idea but Angel has and always will be a stubborn man.
It takes all but ten minutes after the doctor left for Angel to bounce into the hospital room leaving Ez on look out. Solana stands facing the window on the phone with who he assumed was Bishop unaware to his presence.
“Tio I’m fine… the baby’s fine as well…stop worrying so much and I love you too.”
“Baby! What baby?” Angel thinks he might faint.
“Tio I gotta go, Angel’s here… I can’t promise you he won’t leave with some cuts.” She places the phone on the bedside table and just turns back towards the window.
“I thought I made it clear that I didn’t want to see you Ignacio?” Her arms cross over her chest and he knows he’s threading a thin line.
“Past tense and you know I’ve never been able to follow rules properly mi sol.” Comes his smart ass reply as he makes his way towards her. Arms wrapped around her waist, palms splayed on her stomach he rests his head on her shoulder.
“Am I gonna get to be a dad for real this time?” His voice is soft as he asks the question. Angel didn’t want to get excited only to be disappointed again.
Three months wasn’t much but he told himself he had no right to be mad if she was seeing someone else or even carrying their child. He was the one that fucked up what they had because he kept neglecting what was right in front of him.
“Who said anything about your baby Angel? It could be Oscar’s or Rio’s and even if my baby was yours, do you honestly think I would tell you so that you could hurt my baby the way I let you continuously hurt me?” She hates the way her voice cracks.
Solana tried to get Angel’s arms from around her but he wouldn’t budge. He pulls her flush against his chest and refused to let go.
“I can do this, sin ti.” She sniffles furiously wiping the tears that fell.
“I know you can but I don’t want you to and I won’t let you go through this on your own. I know I’m a fuck up and I know that I don’t deserve you pero yo no puedo estar sin ti. No puedo hacer esto sin ti. I’m far from fucking perfect but I’m trying my best to be the man that you deserve. Perdóname por favor.”
“Angel…”
“Te amo.” her breath hitches and she freezes. Both had said I love you to each other but it had always been in the form of “te quiero”.
Angel doesn’t expect the slap he collects once she pries his hands of her and turns to face him nor does he expect the tears that are freely streaming down her face.
“Fifteen fucking years Ignacio and you suddenly love me as more than a friend or family? You think telling me you love me is gonna change this shit? I get that we didn’t have a title but I held you down no matter what since we were fucking children, been in love with yo stupid ass since I was fifteen and you think those two words are gonna change the fact that you left me when I needed you the most? When all I needed was for you to hold me and tell me that we were gonna be fine?”
Angel makes a move towards her but stops when she takes a step back.
“You don’t get to have me here like some fucking doormat that you can walk all over when you’re done playing house with Luísa. I’m here because you’ve got your head so far up her ass that I don’t know who you are anymore. You wanna play house with her and Galindo’s baby go right ahead but leave me and my baby the fuck alone. I’m done…you and me Angel, we were never really anything but we’re done. You made sure of that.” She turns away from him and it’s like his body is rooted to the spot in which he stands. He wants to go to her, to tell her that he confronted Adelita but he couldn’t move.
Opening his mouth to speak he’s cut off by Ez, “ The nurses are doing their rounds mano, we gotta go.”
“Sol…”
“Leave Angel. Don’t come back.”
Ez grabs his brother by his upper arm and drags him out of the room and down the hall until they’re both standing outside.
“You okay Angel?”
“I fucked up my family before we even had a chance to be one. I gotta fix this Ez but she wants nothing to do with me.” He doesn’t like the way he’s feeling but thinks that it’s just maybe what he deserves to be feeling.
“Angel, anyone with eyes can see how much Solana loves you but you hurt her and she’s upset. Just give her some time, we both know she can’t ever stay mad at you for long.” He pats his brother’s back before hopping on his bike.
Angel looks towards the window as he gets on his bike. “Sin ti, estoy incompleto. I promise to fix this querida.” He says to himself as they leave for home.
