Y'all need to be giving compliments and stuff to artists you like, it is fucking disheartening to see my friends who do art or cosplay have just the most hollow ass engagement on their stuff. Like yeah sure 80 reblogs, 200 likes, but with no comments or excited tags, it's hard for them not to feel like those are empty numbers. Are any of you out here giving genuine compliments? Pointing out what they did that you like? Spamming the fcuking heart emoticon until your thumb hurts? I personally make a point if i reblog something directly from an artist to give descriptive praise or comment that i explicitly enjoyed it, and it is shocking how often I'll be the only person doing that on posts with 500+ notes. If you want the artists and cosplayers and writers and other creatives in your life to keep doing their thing you cannot be letting their shit flop, its an imbalanced expenditure of energy and they will burn out and stop making things. Love their work and say it with your chest, they deserve it!!
