Magneto's Kids

Chapter 7

Wanda is by far the smartest of Erik's children so, of course, she has all honors classes, which means she has to study a lot. The week before a test she'll lock herself in her room with her notes and books. She refuses to come out for anything, so Erik put a mini fridge in her room so she wouldn't starve. Her brothers are always trying to get her to take a break but of course, she stubbornly refuses.

"Come on you've been stuck in that room for four days" Pietro started knocking on the door.

"Go away I'm trying to study" Wanda shouted as she grabbed another book. Pietro started knocking on the door at super speed for about an hour before he got tired and gave up. Peter's eyes shone as he got an idea.

"You know, I saw this thing where this guy moved his molecules fast he could phase throw walls" Pietro rolled his eyes.

"Was this in one of your comic books?" Peter nodded walking back from the door. "You realize this is never going to work" but Peter was already darting for the wall in less than the blink of an eye he crashed into the wall leaving a good-sized hole.

"PETER!!!!!!" Wanda's eyes turned red as her hands balled up into fists. 'That's not a good sign' Peter thought as he was surrounded by red energy.

"Wanda please just calm down I can explain" A blue streak darted past and in two seconds Pietro had placed the restraint bracelets on Wanda.

"Okay here's the deal sis, you are getting out of this room, you are going to relax and you are going to have fun," Pietro said grabbing her books and throwing them into a bag "And you can't have this back until you have four hours away from the house" Pietro threw the bag to Peter since he was the expert at hiding things. He hides Magneto's helmet at least once a day.

"I'll go to the library" Pietro shook his head "Movies?" Pietro nodded. Wanda sighed as she grabbed her coat. "Fine let's just get this over" Both speedsters cheered as they ran to the car.

"What movie do you want to see," Pietro asked as he pulled out of the driveway. Wanda carefully thought over this before she replied.

"Now you see me" Peter was happy he had wanted to see 'Now You See Me' ever since it came out Pietro was just glad it wasn't another love story.

"Okay we can go out for ice cream afterward" Pietro slowly pulled into the parking lot. Peter tried his best not to show how excited he was, this was his first time going anywhere with his older siblings.

Time skip

"That movie was amazing!" Peter shouted as they walked out of the theater. Wanda giggled at his childish behavior.

"Now is a pretty good time to go get ice cream," Pietro said dumping an empty mega-size popcorn bag in the trash. Peter nodded with enthusiasm.

"How can both of you still eat, you had a pack of gummies, two hot dogs, five candy bars, two large sodas, and a mega popcorn each" Wanda stared at them in shock.

"Super speed equals super metabolism" Peter pointed out as he darted for the car. By the time they got to the ice cream shop Wanda was ready for ice cream, she didn't get anything other than a drink at the theater to save room.

"Ok one Twinkie and cream icecream with strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup" Pietro announced as he handed Peter his ice cream "One raspberry cheesecake with chocolate chips and chocolate," he said handing Wanda her ice cream "And one coffee ice cream with chocolate and strawberries," Pietro said before taking a bite of his.

"Okay, I've got to admit this was a great idea" Wanda smiled as she took a bite of her ice cream.

"Hey, Peter did I ever tell you about the first time me and Wanda got Dad to eat ice cream?" Peter shook his head "When he first took a bite he loved it and started eating it way too fast, he got a brain freeze and thought he had been poisoned" Wanda nodded giggling.

"One time I was eating smarties and he thought I had taken drugs so he took me to the emergency room"They each took turns telling stories until about ten then they all went home curled up on the couch and played Go Fish until they fell asleep. Two days later Wanda got a hundred on the test and decided she would start taking more study

💢 ANGER - what are some habits they have that will take some getting used to?

chase and guts have the very similar issue of locking people out of their lives and just? never actually telling ppl what’s up with them if smth’s the matter at all. chase is 10x more secretive and defensive than guts, but guts is a lot more abrasive when it comes to getting people off his tail.

chase is also a very prolific ‘ghoster’ of sorts — has a very prolific tendency to just disappear for a while out of nowhere, be it a few hours or a few days in some cases. never really tells people what he was doing or where he went, if he even went anywhere or if he was avoiding/ignoring them… and doesn’t even recognize that it’s kinda rude to randomly drop ppl for extended periods at a time and to come waltzing back in (if ever). by recognize i mean ‘acknowledge that hes in the wrong’ and not ‘does not know he’s wrong’

guts on the other hand — while not much of a ghoster in the same sense chase is, he is pretty aggressively antisocial. he doesn’t hang out, usually declines all invitations, never initiates or reciprocates attempts to maintain relationships, and has a tendency to actively push people out of his life.

lola is by far, one of the most touchy-feely and strong-handed ppl in my roster. she has a bit of a tendency to muscle people into doing things, and an even worse tendency of talking over others. she can be a bit of a bully when it comes to her jokes and can overstep quite a few personal boundaries when it comes down to it. it’s not quite out of a place of immaturity or naivety, so it comes off as pretty malicious.

🥞 PANCAKE - what is their comfort breakfast?

chase -> not much of a sweets guy, but he likes the classic american breakfast platter as a rare treat. you know like. pancakes, sausage, eggs, syrup, bacon. nice.

guts -> feel like he doesn’t eat breakfast much as a default, but baked eggs with sausage…… or any leftovers from the night before.

lola -> A SWEETS LOVER…. LOVER OF ALL THINGS DECADENT AS A TREAT…… she likes having soapaipilla or anything sugary.

🍰 CAKE SLICE - favourite cake flavour? are they specific about types of cakes?

chase -> something in my heart is telling me he’s a carrot cake man and i cannot ignore its call…!! he doesn’t like super heavy cakes/super sweet ones, he’s good with the basics. not a fan of icecream cakes.

guts -> if it’s a cake, he’s gonna eat it. no preference at all, but he rly enjoys the sweeter side of things. maybe go easy on the frosting bc it’s a bit of a mess, but he’ll still eat it regardless.

lola -> SOMETHING FRUITY BUT NOT TOO HEAVY ON THE SWEETNESS… a little cinnamon-y with a fruit like mango or strawberry. maybe a lemon cake. she likes tres lèches but she’s also always down for a good fruit cheesecake.

🌙 MOON - what is your oc's greatest wish? how far are they willing to go for it?

two out of three of these guys aren’t very ‘grand’ in their ambitions, and the other one purposefully leaves his wish as vague as possible. can you guess who. (it’s chase)

chase -> he wants to pave a better future, a guaranteed future. be it for himself, his friends, his family, or just other people in a situation like him — he wants something More than what they have now. the question of ‘how far he’s willing to go’ is entirely dependent on how far he can get without being questioned by the people close to him.

guts -> a very general desire to exist quietly and without much thought or disturbance. he doesn’t have that much gusto in him to ensure it happens, but he does what he can. it’s unpleasant if it won’t happen, but he really can’t fight that hard.

lola -> live big, live splendidly 😌 that’s all that matters. there’s no need to overexert yourself for grandeur when the fun exists on all corners! she’ll go as far as she feels bothered to, it’s really not that serious. don’t get so butthurt about it!

🕷️ SPIDER - what is their biggest fear? do they have any irrational / mundane fears?

chase -> grossed out by maggots, and gets a bit paranoid when his door is neither locked or closed. not rly scared of much else.

guts -> nervous about most matters related to bureaucracy. like… paperwork? permits? registering and keeping track of shit…? dear lord. also he’s mildly claustrophobic.

lola -> super horrific and gross body injury stuff, but minor bloody things are whatever. doesn’t like being chased, zombies, and or ghosts. doesn’t mind other horror clichés much.

🌹 ROSE - do they like valentines day? have they been confessed to before? have they confessed to anyone before?

chase -> very indifferent to valentines day. he has been confessed to before (for valentines day), but that was in elementary school and it didn’t really matter much to him. being confessed to nowadays is way more uncommon. hasn’t confessed to anyone before, but that’s also bc he hasn’t rly felt the need to before.

guts -> also indifferent to valentines day, but NRC days wise he dreads it a bit. he’s gonna be swamped on that day for work…. but it’s not like he has a life, so why not. he’s been flirted with before, but not incredibly seriously. also has never asked anyone out just bc its not rly his place go ask.

lola -> a lover of most things pink and heart-shaped, she must love valentines day like it is her flesh and blood! there’s so much cute stuff going on around those days, how could you hate it? lola gets asked out on an infrequent basis, but that’s also largely because lola tends to make the first move anytime someone catches her eye.

🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don't want to show other people?

chase -> would prefer that ppl don’t catch onto some of his more meticulous or malicious patterns, bc it’s not like he’s going out of his way to be despicable but he knows some parts of himself are definitely not . healthy. he’d prefer for the ppl who he cares about to not have to interact with that aspect of him.

guts -> tbh. ppl have already seen the worst parts of him and he’s pretty sure his current self is no better, so there’s nothing rly to hide about himself.

lola -> nothing really…? she’s not really ashamed of herself and thinks most, if not all, parts of herself are pretty admirable, so why tuck it away? take a gander at will 😎

🙊 SPEAK-NO-EVIL - what is something your oc will refuse to stay quiet about?

chase -> the funny thing about him is that he’ll stay quiet even about the things he cares about. it’s not like being outspoken was ever a requirement for him to do the things he wanted to do. he’s always done his best work behind closed doors.

guts -> the middleman between these two fr. he’ll take a lot of bullshit, but he’s always been very particular of where he stakes himself — and even if it’s not the most vocal protest, guts tries his best to put himself between ‘civilian’ types (even if they are ‘troublemakers’) and certain settings he knows they don’t belong in. there’s nothing to be gained from picking fights with either side.

lola -> it could be the slightest inconvenience and lola wouldn’t take it sitting down. not to say she’d flip a table over a minor annoyance, but she’s a lady of snide comments and more provocations that are always itching to come to the surface.

🙉 HEAR-NO-EVIL - what is the worse thing your oc could hear from someone?

ALL THREE OF THEM HAVE CONCERNINGLY THICK SKIN. ITS A BIT DIFFICULT TO THINK OF SMTH THAT’D STRIKE A REALLY FOUL CHORD IN THEM BUT…

chase -> ITS GOTTA BE SMTH THAT RLY STRIPS HIM OF HIS DIGNITY… not that he’d burst a vein over being called a hick or broke, but i think he’d get pretty pissed off if someone, in any way, talks down on the circumstances of his birth or his foster home history.

guts -> not that he’ll get furious and start throwing shit and having an emo meltdown or anything if anyone calls him this (disclaimer pt 2) but it’s still pretty shit for guts if anyone can recognize him as a finn. and it’s even deeper shit if they call him brutus.

lola -> not that it’s hurtful, but it does piss her off (disclaimer pt 3)— she has never hated anything more than being called baby girl and everything adjacent to it. call her a scavenger or whatever, that’s fine but for the love of god….! WHO IS KITTEN? ANGEL BABY? DOLL? DADDY’S PRINCESS….????? IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE HER??? TO BE LOLA????😨😨😨😨😨🤢🤮🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮

🌏 EARTH - will they give up the world for someone they love? is this decision easy for them?

chase -> no. not really. in terms of semantics, i guess he comes close to it but…? at the end of the day, pretty resound no. as important as they may be to him, they could never be so important that they could take from him. it’s an easy decision for him, but i feel some would wish it was a little harder if he rly did care that much :,-)

guts -> maybe? he’s not capable enough to give them the entire world, but he could try and give them his world. not like he’s rly been doing much with it — and it’s not exactly like he’s not used to giving his shit up. it’s a bit of a rough choice, it’s not like he’s a masochist with a metaphorical death wish, but he doesn’t really have much else outside of them, so why not.

lola -> not the world, no way! it’s not like she doesn’t care about them enough to not sacrifice smth big but like, does she rly care thaaaaaat much? the world is kinda important yknow, she needs her life to have room for improvement too — it’s not going to be all for her s/o.

🪤 MOUSE TRAP - what will always lure them into certain danger? a loved one in danger? a promise of something they are always searching for?

chase -> never the type to act recklessly or go in blind — if he’s doing something dangerous then it’s entirely bc he has something to gain. a favor, some sort of leverage… proving a point is viable for him too, but he still needs something directly out of it. he has people he cares about for sure, people he’d get into some deal of trouble for but to go out of his way to risk himself needs a little bit more than just his affection.

guts -> i mean, he’s always been a bit of a meatshield. for azul, for the finns, for… whoever is convincing enough or just happens fo be in the right place. not the type to go prancing into danger unknowingly, but if he feels like someone’s got leverage over him then he’s obligated to go in wherever they’re telling him to go.

lola -> well she’s not always the sharpest tool in the shed so it’s not like waltzing into danger is foreign to her. party girls live as party girls do…. and keeping an eye out for things is tough! she’ll typically go in for her own material gain, more often than not. food to eat, cash in her pocket, fun in her brain — whatever! self-preservation is only important when it’s a situation she can’t guarantee some means of escape or surrender.

✂️ SCISSORS - what is the "last straw" for them to cut someone out of their life? how easily do they let go of people?

chase -> the moment he deems them a lost cause is when he’s cutting them out immediately. the exact definition of ‘lost cause’ is pretty flexible, but more often than not — it means that they’re not likely to believe him or follow his lead anymore; they overstepped and either got too close to a grisly truth about him of tried too hard to get that truth out of him; and or he just doesn’t think they’re worth any effort investing in. he seems to let go easily enough and in most cases, he’s content with just brushing it under the rug. but he never forgets, and he probably was lying about forgiving.

guts -> a bit hard for guts to cut people out if they’re in close with him. it’s coming largely from a place of cowardice, that he really doesn’t trust himself enough to think he’s doing the right thing even if he’s been mistreated prior. it’d really take a lot of damage for guts to really feel that he should run, but that damage would also have to extend to other people for him to feel more secure in his choice of bailing. he doesn’t let go easily, he’s always a bit too wary of them and what they’ve done after he gets out — and it’ll likely stay like that for good long while.

lola -> she leaves the moment she knows they don’t respect her enough. it’s fine to not take her so seriously, it’s fine to treat her like the irresponsible one — but when the jokes get a little too close to treating her like she’s expendable, there’s gonna be a problem. she’ll sort it out if she can, but more often than not she’s fine with burning bridges. she doesn’t cling much onto the thought after she cuts them out, but she neither forgives nor forgets.

🎡 FERRIS WHEEL - are they someone who wants to kiss at the top of the ferris wheel?

chase -> no, not really. not much of a kissing or pda guy…. and doesn’t really get why people think the ferris wheel is so special, but he’s fine with enjoying the ferris wheel views.

guts -> no… he’s way more bashful than chase about pda. but also, why at the top of the ferris wheel. was any other spot not romantic enough. also it’s a bit too small for him to feel comfortable.

lola -> omg yeth 😋 she’s down for anything corny or new — she’d kiss at the peak of a roller coaster if she got the chance. she thinks it’s cute! pda isn’t a must for her, but you gotta at least cooperate with her demands (of give her a kiss rn)

🎀 RIBBON - how would they fit into other worlds / aus? what aus would you like to try out? what fictional world would they fit / not fit into?

I HAVE SO MANY AUS…. SO MANY….. and tbh, my method of swapping to fit charas into aus just preserves the core of their character so that they can fit pretty much anywhere.

i don’t have any hard no’s for aus aside from hargle pooter, but i’m a bitch for any and all aus outside of that B)

aus i think would be fun to explore for all of them… i’ll give two for now :-)

wild west:

chase -> cattle rustler (former miner) — breaking your back for the big man with nothing to gain but black in your lungs…. maybe it’ll push men towards less savory deals.

guts -> carriage driver (former gunslinger) — the highlife of crime isn’t really for everyone… maybe it’s time to pass the reigns off to someone else and just do some sight-seeing… (or just getting roped into more people’s trouble)

lola -> bounty hunter (former bronco rider) — the exhilaration of bucking in the same old circle can sometimes be rekindled by breaking out entirely and dedicating your life to roughhousing for a hearty, unpromised buck.

soul eater:

chase -> rifle meister: a skilled marksman with a startlingly wide range of abilities within demon weapons… however he proves to be an incredibly capricious soul to resonate with (swinging between unremarkable and totally incompatible) and being an even worse partner, his hardheadedness often getting in the way. exhibits some mastery of soul menace. despite his talents, he keeps an astoundingly low profile within the academy.

guts -> demon machine gun: a cumbersome and destructive weapon, but pretty simple when you actually think about it. shocking to most, he’s not a challenge to synchronize with at all (accredited to his person’s stability and predictability) — however outside of presented circumstances required for partnerships, he’s not that chummy. a bit of a problem child in regards to his grades and performance, but he’s def not the worst weapon out there at least.

lola -> bat meister: a simple and unruly weapon for a straightforward gal ❤️ another fellow user of soul menace, however she’s a lot less lethal than chase is… however she makes up for a lot of that through quick wits and a great deal of force (and technique, don’t worry). pretty adaptable for a meister, however it’s easy to fall out of sync with her if ur not paying enough attention to her beat.

❤️ RED HEART - their love language(s)?

chase -> service, quality time

guts -> service, gift-giving

lola -> affirmation, physical touch

💙 BLUE HEART - do they miss their s/o easily? how do they act when their s/o isn't around?

chase -> no not really 🥲 he acts pretty much the same when his partner isn’t around — regardless of whether he’s with ppl he likes or not, the change isn’t all that grand aside from some minor shift in how sociable he is? aka if he’s with his s/o then he’s a little more willing to entertain their conversations, but if it’s anyone else then it’s more like talking to a scarecrow.

guts -> not easily, but he can get worried? if they’re away for a time-frame longer than like… 2 weeks, then he has a mild tendency to zone out briefly before he snaps back (and slips back in), but after that 3 weeks mark he should be largely functional and normal again. he’s the same as chase in terms of being unsociable and mildly intimidating, except he’s much more… awkward without his s/o as a buffer.

lola -> sure, if you could call it missing them? as affectionate as she is, she’s not incredibly clingy. she’s curious about them, maybe misses a few hugs here and there, and of course she’s keeping them in her thoughts, but if they’re not gonna be missing for months on end or something… what loss is there to mourn exactly? modern technology exists, she could just call them! she’s exactly the same without her s/o around, however you can bet that there isn’t a single chance she’ll skip out on mentioning her s/o.

💔 BROKEN HEART - what could their partner do that would absolutely break their heart?

chase -> let him down: he’s not the type to entrust his faith so freely, even if he should trust them. it hurts all the more when someone close to him begins to falter and fall through the bare minimum of expectations he set on them. it’s nothing to make him break down in tears but it makes him shut them out a lot harsher than before.

guts -> sell him out: ok this ones a bit hard to pinpoint but for the most part he does Not care what happens to him to a certain point but the moment it registers that he’s been used (and is still being used) and is considered expendable. smth abt that, he still prolly won’t find the heart to leave but it still hurts him. smth abt how the finn family has ways of making its rounds back into his life even if his partner is entirely unaffiliated :,)

lola -> demean her: she’s got tough skin but a line that she refuses to have crossed is in regards to her personhood. she is not to be coerced, devalued, or shrunken! she’ll take plenty of pointed jokes, but the moment those ‘jokes’ get way too comfortable about how dumb or useless she is, or how bratty or bimbo-ish she is — she’s gonna have a few choice words with her partner about respect ^_^ (🤭)

hiiii, i wanted to know your opinion on Adrian’s favorite icecream. I randomly thought of it the other day and now i wanna know😂

i can’t decide if his favorite flavor would be super generic like chocolate or vanilla, or if he would be super into really weird flavors.

my counter is that he likes frozen yogurt because you get to make it yourself. like get it from the machine and put all the toppings on. i think he's less of an individual flavor guy and more of a weird combo guy. strawberry and mint chip? sure why not! cheesecake and toffee?? yeah i guess! i rlly think adrian is the type of dude to try any food at least once

"honey, let's go!" chaewon cheered 8 meters away from you from running as she half-watches you tie your shoes and half-steps hesitantly further away from you. "wait for me, darling." you panted as you rushed to her, damn she's a fast walker. she waved at the icecream vendor who unfortunately didn't hear her since there were loads of cars and the overall atmosphere of the city was bustling. you were finally to keep up with her when she stopped running, her shoulders were slumped, her face dropped — she was a sad potato :(. "darling, there's an icecream parlor there." you gently placed your hand on her exposed shoulder, to which she took a glance at. her eyes widened when they laid upon the parlor you were talking about, which was glowing in her perspective. she slowly turned to you, with big glistening doe eyes and a wide open-mouthed smile, "baby, let's go." chaewon yelped airily. she clasped your hand tightly to cross to the other side of the street.

not long, she was bummed again. the existence of the icecream parlor was enough to blind her from the line of customers ordering their desired icecream flavor. "oh, wow." chaewon squinted her eyes at the line of customers before entering in, crossing her arms and putting all her weight in one leg to show her bitterness and defeat. you could die at the sight of her acting like an angry little munchkin if you wanted to, but if you did, that means no more angry little munchkin next time <:0. she was impatiently tapping her finger on her crossed forearms, "ugh. honey, let's play a game. i spy!" quietly squealing, you're lying to yourself if you say a game of i spy inside a store is boring. so, "alright, me first." you excitingly responded. "i spyyy...? with m-my little eeyyeyyeeee??" you were determined to do contorted facial expressions that would make chaewon confused about where you're specifically looking. when you looked at her, her brows were in a worried expression, she was scratching the top of her head idly. and that's when it finally hit her.

"OH MY GOSH, mint choco!" chaewon covered her agape mouth unironically with her hands, she is now standing like a minion — half-squatting and her fingers are crooked while her arms are straightened out stiffly — like she was ready to protect her soon-to-be very own mint choco icecream. "sadly, the tub's almost empty. would probably take 2-3 scoops, tops." you cried out sarcastically before almost immediately changing your tone into an unbothered and careless one, "plus, i wasn't looking at the mint choco, darling. i was looking at the strawberry cheesecake flavor beside it." you smiled at her before bursting into laughter at your own joke, supporting it one-handedly 'cause ms. chaewon beside you is already angry red. in short, you received a playful blow in the arm. "my turn." she growled like a spoiled little kid.

the game went on for about 3 minutes, and not long, you guys were on the front counter being asked what you would like to order. "1 cookies and cream and 1 mint choco, please." you politely conversed with the cashier and after a few minutes, you and chaewon were outside, walking at the sidewalk. "told you, honey. mint choco is reserved for cool people like me." chaewon pointed at herself with her thumb, giving you a smug look. you scoffed jokingly and told her, "uhuh. and do cool people also have icecream smear on their noses?" she got caught off-guard when she touched the tip of her nose — there really was an icecream smear T^T. chaewon scoffed abruptly and tried to wipe it off when you immediately dipped your nose onto your icecream, "hey, i'm cool, too!" you gave her a confused look 'cause, duh, nobody told you having icecream smears in your face is cool ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°). she bursted into laughter that she almost dropped her icecream, a day well spent and it's just noon, you thought to yourself — adoring chaewon in anyway you can and in everything she does.

In honor of pride month, I have asked my good close friends a simple question:

If u could describe your gender like icecream, what flavor would it be and what cone or bowl would it come in?

The answers came in and I stock pilled them here for your viewing pleasure.

Friend 1:

Comes in your hand, is red and blue flavor

Friend 2:

Neapolitan. It’s not defined as one flavor because it has several. It’s not seen as just chocolate or just strawberry. It’s Neapolitan.

Friend 3:

hm...a bowl of...cookies and cream or neapoltian. In like...a glass bowl with flowers on it.

Friend 4:

Maybe like either a French vanilla, coffee, or salted Carmel in a waffle cone with and or without sprinkles. Or chocolate bc that’s my fav.

Strawberry cheesecake on a waffle cone.

Friend 6:

Watermelon sorbet or black cherry in a pretty pink ceramic bowl.

Tbh I did this just for funsies but if you want a more deep meaning, I wanna show how everyone experiences their gender or sexuality or ANYTHING abt themselves differently than others. OMG the food from the kurobas animate cafe is rly cute so I'm compiling it here (translations added using my limited japanese skills and google translate lol)

10th anniversary special Colorful Neapolitan Pasta (the flowers are edible! it also includes monaka?? which doesn't sound very good but well)

“I know the perfect thing to warm you up.”

It was as if he had a rare gem within the halls of his home that he was graciously offering up to the quivering visitor; he spoke it as if his guest were undeserving of whatever he had in store, but he had the kindest of hearts to notice their trembling knees and act upon it with a gentleman instinct; an impulse he’s never had before until now. “Since you won’t come in...” He stared hopefully at them, expecting them to come inside with him, but their stony attitude seemed to morph them into a statue as they refused to please him with any moment of movement. As the boy fell back on his attempts, he left with a defeated sigh, “I’ll just um...Bring it to you...Stay there.” As the tall male turned his back around to retreat into his home, he sent his guest a warning glare; his expressive features drawing out words for them to acknowledge with a cold sweat, ‘If you leave, I’ll find you.’ His new company watched him with an incoming frown as soon as he turned his face away from them.

Though they hadn’t moved an inch, spoken a word, or made any motion since they were fervently greeted at the front door, they couldn’t, however, stop the movement of their eyes rolling in irritation as they watched the hurried boy retreat within the halls of his cabin. He wandered about imperatively until disappearing, being swallowed in the throat of a downwards staircase to presumably search the insides of his basement for the prementioned solution to his guest’s shakiness.

Though it was arguably cold outside in the isolated woods, the reason for trembling limbs wasn’t because of the winds touches being freezing; but because of the mere vulnerability of being alone in disquieting seclusion with a blatant maniac. The immense fear overtook them emotionally and physically. They took a step further away from the entrance to feel a little more at ease. They gripped every red flag given so far through their interactions, and kept the handful of flags close in mind. “I should just go. Something’s definitely up, and I should leave... But...”

The drifting thought was contradicted by an overwhelming state of affairs that consumed their mind; the contents of the invitation would keep their feet grounded here until they secured an acceptable answer to all the questions that the request of their presence had raised. (Y/n) reached down into their pockets to withdraw a crumpled clump of paper, recovering the sheet by smoothing it out until the writing became perceivable. Their eyes scanned the letter knowingly, remembering the exact phrasing and words used, written in red ink in sloppy handwriting and childishly drawn hearts to scatter the page with an unsettling décor. Their eyes scanned over the contents, their eyes narrowing as they ventured further into his disoriented thoughts written on paper.

“My fickle love, please come tonight.

You never come to me on your own accord, and that sincerely hurts. When I try to talk to you, you act so distant like you want me to disappear and just die. We need to talk. I understand if you’re cautious of me; but don’t worry, I won’t kiss you at the door like we used to ♡ . Because I’ve finally come to terms that you’ve moved on from us; but I can easily drag you back to where you belong ♡

I’ll make it clear, that where you belong is at my side.

So if you’d so kindly come...

Because, if I must include, for a matter of fact, I have something of yours, something which you deem important in your life, that I will not hesitate to dispose of if I do not see you tonight. I honestly don’t get the appeal and all the affection you hold for it. It’s quite miserable. I’ll be so angry if you do not come, I might just completely destroy it beyond recognition, and when you see it, you may just cry! That would be your fault, though! ♡”

Their spontaneous reaction to completing the concerning letter would be to anxiously shove the paper back in the confines of their pockets, out of sight while the letter’s contents still persisted to haunt their mind. The letter’s obvious underlining tone effectuated the invited guest to stay on guard; they had invited their boyfriend to join for company and protection, but he had messaged back last minute he was unable to make it. For caution, (Y/n) had their phone easy to grab in case of emergency to call for authorities if prompted. Shoulders lifting in tension at the re-arrival of their ex boyfriend, the slinking boy folded his arms behind his back, using his body as a divider between the guest and the retrieved item.

“Is that the something of mine?” They quoted from the letter, eyeing his slithering arms cautiously as he tried to hide the item closer to the backside of his body that seemed to tremble with excitement for the upcoming events. The boy shrugged flatly, unexpressive or uncaring of the subject. “Part of it, I suppose.” He tiredly sighed, the topic not even deserving of much attention as he breathed it out quickly and uncaring in a small voice.

They squinted their eyes at the implication, their hand squeezing their cell phone and shuffling their feet further away from him. They watched one another for a long while; one of them observing the other with intense glances, covering their body in yearning gazes, while the other watched the boy with suspicion, ready to run for it at the slightest of wrong movements coming from the twitchy boy.

“Can you come in?’‘ He suddenly whined, taking a step outside to reach a step closer to them. “I don’t have to, so I won’t.” They returned firmly, intending on not taking a step inside that suffocating building of rotten memories. “Who said that? Of course you have to come inside.” They continued their stubborn refusal at the prospect of entering, finding his pressure to be beyond unsettling and causing them to clamp onto their device of assistance even tighter as if it were a stress toy to relieve some of the tension swelling through their body. “Why?” Their voice quivered as the single question left their cold lips.

The expected response was delayed as the male was content with keeping silent, only watching their ex lover with a desperate gaze. (Y/n) scrunched up their nose in disturbance and instantly turned away on an impulse decision, “I’ll be leaving then.” Satisfied with their legs working and pumping away the fear of the situation so they weren’t frozen in place, they turned to glance back as they departed with a glare, “Go ahead and dispose of whatever you have of mine.” They watched for his reaction, pleased with the aspect of leaving him in the dust and departing the animus feelings.

“Gladly.” He retorted loudly and enthusiastically, crumbling all plans to useless dust in a moment as he dragged his arms forward, revealing the item he had been confiscating from them and hiding behind his back. A large, beige hoodie swung back and forth through the air.

(E/c) training on the article of clothing, instant recognition processed an overwhelming amount of fear in their mind, their steps slowing into a stiff halt as they turned their body around. “You’re quite right; what was I thinking? I had offered this to you with the prospect of you wearing this to help you from this freezing cold. It’s quite trashy, isn’t it?” He smiled in vast pleasure at the fear that showed itself evidently on his ex lover. He threw the sweater to the ground, dirtying it in an instant as mud smudges against its fabric. (Y/n) stared blankly at the cozy, familiar hoodie with tears tapping at the ducts of their eyes. It was their boyfriend’s hoodies. Their sights lifted from the uneasy, questionable presence of their significant other’s clothes up to the satisfied boy with a baffled glare.

“How did you get that.” Their paralyzing fear finally subsided to allow them the minimal amount of energy in order speak a single sentence, demanding a direct answer to a vital question. He simpered in response, aggravating his visitor’s panic. “I just ripped the ugly thing off of the disgusting prick.” He stated simply, causing (Y/n) to be influenced by dread as their feet suddenly pressed heavy steps into the ground, aiming their body to lunge past the lingering, smiling boy as they rushed inside his house, sprinting down his stairs where they had watched him go down to retrieve the hoodie.

“Finally, you come inside. It was getting cold! I was worried for you. You’re so stubborn, always have been.” He shouted after them as if they were holding a casual conversation, smoothly placing himself in their retreating steps that headed into his basement. “I see you didn’t need my offering, either. It doesn’t upset me, don’t worry. Maybe you can wear one of my hoodies if you’re still cold.” He thought aloud to himself while he smiled at the thought of the procured individual ultimately staying within his walls once more, “Mine would look so much better on you, anyways. You always liked to wear them before, anyways...Why can’t you now?’’ He thought to himself as he reached his steps, calmly going down into the darkness where his guest had already descended into in a frenzy.

Turning behind himself, he locked the door to the basement, shoving his keys securely into his pocket before turning back on track, hearing the expected screaming and crying of his beloved.

A bundle of cold air strangled (Y/n) as they choked out, a numbing chill pricking their fingers for a coldness to crawl up their veins before contaminating their entire body in a coat of ice. Screams of denial were heard throughout the basement as all they could do was grab at what was left of their significant other; all the hopes for a good future with him crumbling as they were flung back into the perfect past, which its nostalgia rotted at the sight of his rotting body. Their entire body shook from its core, their limbs barely able to reciprocate the requested actions their mind enlisted for them to do. They wanted to run, call for the police. They wanted to do the impossible, turn back time and stay by their lovers side to make sure that this never happened. They turned back to see their harasser, a detestable, content smile on his lips as he savored their suffering as if they deserved it.

‘‘You know, this poor man didn’t have to die. He would have never died if you didn’t move on so quickly.’‘ Spite fueled his vocals and clenched his fists. Bringing himself down onto their level on the floor, he grabbed his hand around their head into a tight grasp, squeezing each of his fingers deep into their skull as if he were gripping onto a bowling ball. He dragged their face up to look into his eyes, a sudden rapture indulged him at the aspect of their attention stuck onto him for answers to their misery.

A smile placed itself on his face, replacing his previous anger with snarky bitter sweetness. “You left me because you said I loved you too much. That you were creeped out by me.” He softly recalled, pulling out their memories together as they stared at him in agony; knowing they were right to say that. “You left me because I loved you too much!?!? The hell is that shit supposed to mean?! You want me to love you less???” His clench on their head tightened, his fingers digging deeper into their cranium, causing them to yelp out their pain and shove back at him in an awkward fight, their hands placing forcefully onto his chest and placing all their weight and power to push him down successfully.

As his fingers stiffened and released his merciless grip on their head and harshly collided his back against the basement floor, (Y/n) stumbled upwards without a second though, placing their sudden sprint in the direction of the exit. Climbing the steps, they spoke back breathlessly, “You’re sick, you’re delusional, you’re awful, you’re disgusting, you’re a killer.” They chanted hatefully through sobs and a runny nose, as they reached the door, “You’re also about to be behind bars, you psycho.” They yelled as they watched in a panic at the boy reacting uncaring at their escape, as he focused on rubbing his aching head that must have slammed into the ground upon impact. Gripping the door knob rigidly, they turned it quickly; only for the door knob to refuse access to an open door as it stiffly stayed in place, unable to turn any further.

“When you left...” The boy continued as their new captive stubbornly fought with the door handle, “Everything became so cold. So so....cold..’‘ The boy slumped up from his sitting position, aiming his direction up the stairs slowly, causing alert to run through his captive as they flicked their wrist harder with the door knob. “There was an emptiness, without you...But now that you’re here...” (Y/n) flinched their head to take a peek at his proximity, screaming out their terror at his approach as they struggled fiercely with the inanimate object that refused to budge. They began kicking at the door, shoving themself against the exit with pleads, as if the door would open if they prayed hard enough.

“I know the perfect, sweet little thing to make sure I never have to suffer through that coldness again...”

Suddenly enwrapped within long arms, entangling themselves around the panicked individual, their contact felt like a winter cold pressed against their backside, breathing bitter, sharp air to pierce through their neck and numb them.

hq character’s favorite lip smacker flavors

warnings: none, just slight cursing

a/n: wow the way this was one of my best ideas... anyway some of these are kinda repetitive so bare with me 😭

hinata

i feel like hinata would be down for one of the really fruity flavors, like watermelon or mango sunrise. forgets it at home or in your car a lot so you always buy him extra.

kageyama

kags is def giving me the classic strawberry or cherry vibe, like the one that ALL stores sell. they’re the easiest to find and he likes the flavors.

daichi

ok i feel like daichi would use the peppermint flavor a lot, but i can also seeing him use the cinnamon flavor every now and then too, spice things up a little.

sugawara

i can see suga using some of the sweeter flavors, like strawberry as a daily chapstick and maybe sugar cookie when he wants to switch things up.

asahi

mans got the whole berry pack. uses them pretty frequently throughout the day, has a different flavor in different places. like one in his school bag, one in his gym locker, one at home, etc.

tanaka

ok tanaka probably doesn’t use use them that much, but when he does, he fucks w the soda flavors. like coke and sprite.

nishinoya

i don’t even think he knows what lip smackers are....but let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and say he would use one of the sugary ones. like the skittles one.

vanilla. no pun intended. i just totally see him using the vanilla flavor, probably the coconut one too.

i can see bby using the pink lemonade,,,maybe the cucumber melon too mmmm. applies them a lot.

he uses that lime flavor (i forgot it’s exact name) but that and probably some fruity shit like tropical punch.

PLEASE. he wouldn’t sell lip smackers at his convenience store so he’s like ?? tf is that babe ?? but, once you show him he’d definitely be down for the rootbeer or coke flavor, he’s a soda man what can i say. BUT i imagine he’d keep it simple most of the time w peppermint. (u also make him start selling them so he ends up trying the fruity flavors~)

doesn't use it often, but when he remembers or you remind him, he'll usually use a fun soda flavor like from the fanta pack,, or even just regular grape.

mmm i can see him using pineapple. it’s a subtle flavor, but its the one he likes best. i don't think he'd use it all that often tbh, but when he does his lips taste absolutely ~fresh~
