i don't get how you can be friends with people on the opposite end of the political spectrum. if you're both hard leaning towards centrism then it's understandable, but in my case that's a matter of being a normal human being and being a cannibalistic nazi because politics here is not about being left or right for a long time.
apolitical people who are strictly against any political discussions are just gross

Hi hi!^^ I was wondering if I could have your thoughts on a chunky Pred! Megs. Love your writing 🫶
Good day, dear anonymous!
I'm so happy that you like my works! Thank you very much!
I've been thinking about your ask for a while... It's a bit intriguing 'cause when I wonder about bots like they really are in cartoons and movies, I always consider only g/t vore which wouldn't affect them much. Honestly, any serious deformation of their bodies would give me a scare. However, I have some thoughts about chunky human! Megatron. If you're interested in them, here they're!
P.S: I hope you'll like it. Of course, it's a little bit different thing from what you expected, but I'm not sure that I can do my best being out of the comfort zone... And I apologize for the delay.
Human! Megatron:
Tumblr media
I think a human Megatron would be robust and big-boned; his torso would appear stout and thick, although not too plump - leader of the decepticons needs to care about his strength and mobility. He is not as large as his robotic form (though I can still call him a giant), so a human he swallows will make a visible lump on his stomach, soft and perfectly round. It is incredibly nice for him to feel how a good prey stretches his insides and slowly passes his collar, then fulfills his awaiting, hungry belly almost to the max. Megatron is shown quite differently in media, so there are endless opportunities for various scenarios with such pred. Personally, I prefer soft/ safe plots with him where vore is used as a therapy for an aching soul, a way to defend someone or just for pleasure of being close with a friend. I love Earthspark Megs; his character has a well-balanced combination of strength, severeness and true kindness which I absolutely adore. I imagine he wouldn't mind an entertaining prelude or a play before the "supper" if his companion is in good mood; meanwhile, he would be supportively quick and understanding when his darling turns out to be upset or worried. Megatron is very gentle with someone he gulps down; when you reach your destination, he will caress his growling and bubbling middle, being in pure bliss, but also wishing you to be as happy as he is. He will address you some short, but heart-touching phrases and pat his stomach slightly to reassure and make clear that he is with you and he loves, appreciates you.
Also, I suppose sometimes here would come a wholesome, painless digestion with following reformation. It could be a way of comfort for both included; moreover that Megs has had his own dark pages in the life which remind about themselves from time to time. If his partner is OK with the idea, he will ask them for a favour when things get too tough - and lovingly send them down his throat to the stomach which already expects its guest to stay much longer. At this particular days Megatron would be extremely cautious because he knows that, although nothing bad is gonna happen, his friend can get nervous and start panicking - the decepticon is ready to spit them out immediately if they suddenly feel frightened. In case of everything was fine, Megatron would lay down and keep both hands on his voluminous growling middle, fondling its tight surface, feeling how his dear prey peacefully breaks down under the skin and gives him satisfying, overwhelming warmth, while the small one themselves would take a good nap, insensibly melting away and resting from the world. After every session Megs' waist would get a little softer and wider than usual which would become a constant reason for jokes from both sides; regardless, Megs would never forget to sincerely thank his small teammate for the great meal.

stopping by to ask for a bedtime story. pls tell me how you met the boys and and and i must know how the first date went <3
hi em!!! i'm so sorry this wasn't a bedtime story for you yesterday i was too intoxicated last night to be able to say this coherently...
ok so. i have an age gap going on with stsg, but i didn't know them beyond reputation for a long time (i attended kyoto jujutsu high, so they weren't my teachers dw). i didn't actually meet them until after i graduated. the higher ups, unsurprisingly, sent me on a mission i was not cut out for, so they stepped in and saved my ass. i was embarrassed as hell and kind of on my guard (hearing utahime-sensei bitch about gojo for years will do that), but they were both really nice. suguru made sure i wasn't too badly hurt after they'd taken care of the curses, but i did wind up kind of snapping at gojo for pushing me out of the fight completely (i said something along the lines of never being able to learn to defend myself if i never got to fight), and he just kinda... stared at me bc he didn't expect me to talk back to him. suguru apologized on his behalf, asked again if i was ok, and offered to escort me back to where i was staying (i didn't take him up on it).
cut to a couple weeks later. stsg were in kyoto for some meeting between the staff of both high schools, i was back on campus between missions (i just kinda..... never really moved out of my dorm after graduation, whoops) and ran into them again. before i could say literally anything to them (didn't get out any sort of greeting at all), satoru was blurting out a very awkward apology for how our first meeting had gone. i forgave him, and we exchanged small talk for a bit (i hated every second of it, small talk makes me Insane), and then they had to leave for another meeting, but before they walked away, satoru handed me a little piece of paper with their numbers on it, telling me if i ever needed anything just to reach out to them.
i put their numbers in my phone but didn't contact them for a few more weeks, until i was given another mission i had a feeling was more than i could handle. they agreed to come as backup, and promised not to interfere unless i really needed help. everything went fine in the end, but i appreciated them being there and keeping their word about not cutting me out of my own mission.
we texted back and forth occasionally after that, until one day they invited me out to a little cafe when i was in tokyo for a couple days. i didn't know until afterwards that they intended for it to be a date, i just assumed i was third wheeling, since their relationship was no secret to... pretty much anyone in the jujutsu world, and because i'm oblivious as hell so i didn't even know they were interested in me.
after that (failed) date, they decided to split up and each take me on a solo date. sugu went first, which toru wasn't happy about, but he spent a fair amount of the date talking toru up to me, which i thought was really sweet, but i was absolutely blown away when he told me that satoru had been pining after me basically from that first meeting.
anyways. my first date with suguru was to a secondhand bookstore, and then afterwards we had lunch in the park. it was fairly quiet, very low key, very nice; very him. my first date with satoru was to a roller rink. i have terrible balance so i spent the whole time clinging to him and wobbling around like a newborn baby deer, and he ate it up. when he finally had mercy on me we left the roller rink, he took me out for ice cream. it was a little chaotic, very high energy, very bubbly; very him. they both walked me home after our respective dates, and asked permission before kissing my cheek. it didn't take long after that for me to fall for them, hard.
wow ok that was..... a lot longer than i expected i'm sorry for talking your ear off em 😭

WayV Reaction: to you flirting with their younger sibling
Tumblr media
Pairing(s): WayV x Reader
Genre: crack, fluff
Warnings: none
Word Count: 2.9k
Author's Notes: Hello anon! I'm sorry it took me so long to get to your request! I really hope I interpreted your request accurately! And thank you! I'm so glad you like my content! (I also want to mention that I used younger brother for all of them because I thought the request said brother until I went back and looked. Then I didn't want to change everything I'd just written so I just went with it. I'm sorry).

Kun:
Shortly after Kun was announced to be joining NCT in 2018, he also found out that his mother was expecting a second child, which, naturally, came as quite a shock. He was already an adult. Had his mother decided on more children when he was younger, a teenager even, he wouldn't have even batted an eye! But his little brother or sister would be 22 years younger. That was just weird.
However, that didn't stop Kun from nervously sitting in the waiting room holding your hand the day his little brother was born, vowing to always protect the sweet little bundle of joy.
It was that promise that led to where you both were now, Kun holding his babbling three year old brother in his arms as the boy waved to his retreating mother.
"I'll pick him up tomorrow morning," she called over her shoulder as the door closed behind her.
"So what do you want to do now?" Kun asked, looking between you and the little boy squirming in his arms.
"I wanna dance with (y/n)!" the little boy declared, wiggling out of Kun's hold and reaching for you.
Laughing, you took hold of the boys hands and led him into the center of the room, sending Kun a wide grin as he played music on his phone.
"It would be an honor to dance with you kind sir," you responded in an overly posh voice, taking his smaller hands in yours and spinning around the living room.
He let out a giggle as you spun him around before picking him up in your arms and swaying to the new, now reasonably slow song.
"You're an even better dancer than your brother!" you cooed.
The boy beamed at you.
"Hey!" Kun argued, biting back a laugh as you turned to look at him.
"You can't go stealing my significant other away from me!" Kun said, playfully glaring at the young boy in his arms.
Said boy, seeming to take his confidence from to much time spent with Ten, leaned up and pressed a kiss to your cheek, smirking at his brother.
"Wait for me to get older!" he said before squirming out of your hold.
"I'll wait forever, my prince," you laughed, placing him on the floor, watching him run over to YangYang, who had just entered the room. The maknae leaning down to scoop the boy up, disappearing back into his own room.
Kun stood up from his place on the couch and placed a kiss to your cheek.
"He really likes you," he hummed, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you close.
You just smiled, resting your head on his shoulder as his hips suddenly began to sway to the music still playing, coaxing you to follow his lead as he danced you around the living room.
"I'm a much better dancer," he whispered.
You leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to his lips in response.
Ten
The whole world knew that Ten had a younger sister. She was never hidden away, taking her camera confidence from her older brother as she took the newfound attention that came with her celebrity brother in stride. What the world didn't know, however, was that Ten also had a younger brother, one year younger than his sister. A brother that was extremely shy, choosing to hide behind his older sister rather than face the limelight.
Both had been over to visit the dorm countless times, though Ten's sister could only visit when Yukhei wasn't in the dorm after the large man had gotten slightly drunk and stupidly confessed to finding his ge's sister incredibly hot. His brother, on the other hand, was always welcomed and often found himself visiting once every few months for a week when WayV had a little less packed schedules.
You and Ten had picked the younger boy up from the airport two days prior and he'd been laughing and goofing off with the other members (especially Sicheng, to Ten's surprise). Today, however, the younger boy had been surprising glued to your side, always offering to get you a drink or a snack or share a blanket with you, which only made the older boys grow smirks as they not so subtly teased the boy.
"I think he likes you," Ten muttered, eying the boy retreating to the kitchen to grab a water.
You nodded, leaning against your boyfriend and desperately trying to surpress your giggle, not wanting the boy to feel awkward or bullied.
"I don't like it."
You slapped Ten's chest softly.
"Let him be, it's puppy love!" you cooed.
"Puppy love or whatever. You're mine."
You rolled your eyes at the older boys antics and gave his brother a soft smile upon his return, taking the water he offered you.
"Thank you, sweetheart. You're so nice!" you grinned, reaching up to lightly ruffle the boys hair.
Pink dusted his cheeks and he looked down, but he couldn't had his growing smile.
Ten gently elbowed you in the side and pulled you closer to hiss in your ear.
"Flirt with him again and I'll make sure he hears you screaming my name later," he hissed in your ear.
"Come on Ten! He's your brother for goodness sake! It's not like he's going to ask me out. It's harmless!" you argued back.
Ten let out a grumble and turned back to the television, tugging you closer slightly.
"You're going to be the death of me," he grumbled.
WinWin
The day Sicheng found out that he had a half brother on his father's side, he didn't know how to feel. On one hand, he ecstatic. He'd always wanted a younger brother. On the other, what was he supposed to do with this information. His estranged father had never had any intention on telling him that he had a brother, so why now.
It seemed the answer was easy enough to figure out as the eight year old boy was suddenly dropped off at the dorm after Sicheng had been blindsided to watch the male while his father and his step-mother went on a seven day cruise.
While Kun had promised that it was fine, Sicheng knew the leader would rather do other things than help Sicheng take care of an eight year old on their only week off, so Sicheng had called you to come help, promising that he'd take you out for a fancy dinner if you helped him babysit for the week.
You didn't need promises to spend time with your boyfriend, even if it was babysitting.
When you entered the dorm, the first thing you noticed was Sicheng's younger brother playing game with Kunhang on the living room television, and from the looks of it, the eight year old was killing it.
"I win again!" the little boy declared as Kunhang gaped at the television.
"I- how-" he muttered.
"You must be really good to beat Kunhang!" you piped up, sending the younger male a teasing smile.
To the new voice, the eight year old looked up and the controller dropped from his hands.
"Your hot," he declared matter-of-factly.
Your eyes widened. You certainly hadn't been expected that, but a small laugh bubbled from your lips.
"Your not so bad yourself," you retorted with a wink.
"Are you flirting with my brother?!" Sicheng asked, voice sounding scandalized as he approached the two of you, holding a small cup filled with fruit punch for the young boy.
"How can I not when his looks rival his brothers." you responded, sending a wink to the young boy before pressing a kiss to Sicheng's cheek.
The boy had red rising to his cheeks and he took a sip on punch to distract himself as he awkwardly toed at the floor. Kunhang let out a boisterous laugh from his place on the couch.
"This is so weird and so comically!"
"Bet I can beat you again even with this hot person sitting beside me! They'll give me good luck!" the boy decreed, hoping up onto the couch beside the other member.
"Don't call my signifiant other hot!" Sicheng whined.
You gave Sicheng another peck to the cheek and leaned against him.
"Let him have his fun," you muttered, reaching down to grab Sicheng's hand in yours.
Lucas
Yukhei and his younger brother had always been somewhat close. They spoke on a regular basis and his brother had certainly spent time at the dorms, but he was also a busy person.
Unlike Yukhei, who had given up taking over his fathers company to be an idol, his brother was being groomed by their father to be the next CEO of said company, which meant that the boy didn't come around a whole hell of a lot. Which also played into the reason why he'd never meant his brothers significant other. That is, until you opened the door to the dorm while Yukhei was being scolded by Kun for letting Bella pee in the house again.
"Can I help you?" you asked, eying the tall man.
Right away, you knew this person had to be related to Yukhei in some way. They two were practically identical. This man might just be a little shorter and not quite as stocky.
"I believe it is I who can help YOU, beautiful," he said.
Immediately, your cheeks heated up from the awkwardness. Clearly this man had no clue that you were sleeping with his brother. Or maybe he did and he just didn't care.
"I uh... come in... handsome..." you mumbled back awkwardly, having no clue how one should respond to such a greeting.
"So are you their maid or something? Because if you come work for me, I guarantee I can treat you better."
This guy was shameless!
"Uh... the others are this way... But I'm not a maid so..."
He followed behind you into the dorm and you could practically feel his eyes on your ass. You didn't think you liked Yukhei's brother very much.
"Come on babe, I know you're a shy little mouse, but give me something to work with here! Aren't you at all interested!"
"Well... you are handsome. As handsome as your brother but-"
"My brothers got a girlfriend! If you like him, surely you'll like me! Come on, one date!"
"I-I"
"Yeah her boyfriend doesn't really want her going on a date with her boyfriends little brother," Yukhei said, swooping in and draping an arm around your shoulders.
You felt yourself relax into his side, especially as the male in front of you realized the error of his ways.
"Oh my God! I am so sorry! I don't know why I just assumed you were single! Can we start over!" the male requested, getting on his knees to beg for forgiveness.
Ok, maybe this guy wasn't so bad.
"Get up you idiot. You're acting like you've never met a girl before!"
At that, a loud laugh erupted from your lips, making them both look at you.
"It's really ok! You didn't know! Just don't do it again," you laughed.
Xiaojun
The thought of Dejun having a younger sibling was something that had never crossed his mind, especially when he'd turned 16. He just never considered his parents would want to have more children until his mother informed him that she was, in fact, pregnant once again. Six years later, he didn't get to spend much time with his baby brother, but when he did, he tended to make the most of it. So when his mother offered to let Dejun babysit for the afternoon while she did some shopping, he couldn't have been happier. Especially because you'd finally get to meet the little boy.
When he was dropped off, you were blown away by the cute little boy that you immediately pulled him from Dejun's arms, cuddling him to your side.
"You are the most precious thing I've ever seen!" you cooed.
The boy cuddled against your side and placed a kiss on your cheek, one that had you beaming.
"You're so handsome! When you get older, you're going to have all the heads turning, just like your big brother!"
The boy giggled at that and wrapped his arms around your neck, hugging you tightly.
"Can I date you too when I get older?" he asked.
Dejun scoffed in the back of his throat, but you could see the fond smile on his face.
"Why of course you can! Unless you already have a partner!" you beamed, ruffling the boys hair.
At that, Dejun crossed his arms over his chest and stared at you with a pout.
"I don't wanna share," he whined.
You rolled your eyes at him, letting out a small little laugh as you pressed a kiss to his little brother's forehead and patted his back, sending him off to Kun, who promised to make the younger boy ramen for lunch.
"Are you seriously jealous of your little brother?"
"You shouldn't flirt with other guys," he whined.
You cooed at the male and leaned in close to press a soft kiss against his lips.
"You're the only one for me baby," you promised, laughing as you overheard the younger boy requesting that Kun make you a bowl as well.
"He's getting too attached," Dejun mumbled.
You kissed his lips again and took hold of his hand.
"I'm yours babe, and nothing is going to change that," you promised.
Hendery
Kunhang thought his parents must really like having children. And, to be fair, his childhood had been a pretty happy one. However, he was the youngest of four and the only boy. He was the baby and it showed. He was constantly being doted on by his parents and even his sisters who, at one point, would dress him up in make-up and make him pretend to be their fourth sister.
However, all of that changed when Hendery was 10 and news of his mothers pregnancy reached his unwitting ears. He had been angry. Angry because his youngest sister had told him "horror stories" of what it was like for her when he was born. He wasn't exactly ready. However, when his brother was born, he had a friend. Even if said friend was 10 years younger.
Now, a twelve year old boy sat perched on the couch between Kunhang and Ten, eyes glued to the television as they watched Harry Potter for the thousandth time.
"Does anyone want anything to eat? I'm going to make a sandwich," you called.
When no one responded, you set to the kitchen to put your own sandwich together when a figure suddenly appeared behind you.
"I bet your sandwiches are delicious! Could you make me one?" he asked.
You glanced back to give him a wide grin.
"Sure thing honey bunches! What would you like on it?"
He listed off everything he wanted on the sandwich and you set to work assembling it for him. You sliced the sandwich in half triangle style the way you usually ate your sandwiches and gave him a wide smile.
He sat down at the island and took a large bite, humming a little over-exaggeratedly at the flavor.
"It's so good!" he said.
You laughed and ruffled his hair before opening the fridge and handing him a 12 ounce bottle of coke.
"Only the best for you! Gotta keep those muscles growing if your gonna play spots when you get older!"
"Mom says I'm made for the soccer field! She wants me to try out to be a professional player! But I want to be an idol like Kunhang!"
What he said surprised you. Kunhang hadn't told you his little brother had interest in joining the entertainment industry.
"I'm sure you'd be great at it!" you encouraged.
"Do you think I'd fit in with NCT?" he asked.
"Are you kidding? You'd put them all to shame with your looks and talent! No one could beat you!"
"What are we talking about?" Kunhang asked, moving up behind you and wrapping an around around your waist.
You picked up half of your sandwich off your plate and offered it to him, to which he took a bite straight from your hand.
"He's interested in joining the entertainment industry!" you beamed.
Kunhang looked over at him, eyebrow raised.
"Ok, but stay away from my partner with those good looks and talent that could put us all to shame," he mocked, kissing your temple before plopping down beside you.
YangYang
YangYang was born five minutes earlier than his identical twin brother, which he had kept a secret from the prying eyes of the fans. His brother, while sharing his same facial features and eyes, was very different from YangYang.
His twin was more introverted and, unlike YangYang, had 0 interest becoming an idol. Rather, he wanted to become a veterinarian to go along with his love of animals. So, when YangYang went away to train, his brother was taking medical classes and it just never made sense for either of them to mention each other, specifically because YangYang's twin didn't care much for access media attention.
The members, however, were very aware of YangYang's twin, although they'd found out the hard way when his brother had come to visit and Sicheng had accidentally yelled at him to get his "damn shoes out of the hallway."
It had been hysterical when it was all said and done and his twin had quickly bonded with the older boys, letting them pull him out of his shell to find the energetic boy that liked to compete with YangYang on everything.
While you knew that YangYang had a twin brother, and that they were identical, the thoughts didn't cross your mind as you showed up at the dorm to spend time with YangYang. When Dejun opened the door, he informed you that YangYang was finishing up a shower and would be out soon, directing you to his bedroom.
When you walked in, however, you found "YangYang" sitting on his bed playing a game on his phone. Assuming he'd gotten out of the shower before Dejun had realized, you thought nothing of it and sauntered over to the boy, taking his phone out of his hands and plopping down on his lap.
"I missed you," you said, leaning back against him, letting your head rest against his collar bone.
"I um..." the boy stammered.
You'd never known YangYang to get flustered, but chopped it up to the members being in the dorm.
"What's wrong baby? Cat got your tongue?" you cooed, sending him a mischievous wink as you purposefully wiggled your bum on his lap.
"I-I"
"What the hell is going on?!" a very familiar voice tore through your reverie and your eyes shot up to the door where... YangYang stood, towel wrapped around his waist, another drying his hair.
"YangYang?!" you gaped, jumping off the lap you were sitting on. "But who?!" you turned back to the man on the bed and then it dawned on you.
YangYang had mentioned earlier in the week that you should come by to meet his twin brother. Somehow, that had slipped your mind and now...
"Oh my God!! I am so sorry!" you screeched, voice going up an octave as your cheek flushed a bright red.
The boys shared a look before both burst out laughing, doubling over with hilarity as your cheeks burned.
"This has got to be the best mix up I've ever seen!" the real YangYang cackled, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you against him.

Endless Nights
Pairing: Benny Miller x gn!reader (no descriptions or pronouns)
Summary: You and Benny can't seem to get enough of each other's company. Could tonight be the night you find the courage to do something about that crush?
Words: 2,101
Warnings: Nudity but not the sexual kind, food/eating. Almost zero editing and a tired writer.
Notes: I don't always participate in Writer Wednesday, but when I do I take one look at the picture, get an idea and then go completely off the rails. Sorry. So the pic doesn't really have a lot to do with the rest of the fic but I hope that's okay. For this week's @autumnleaves1991-blog Writer Wednesday, thanks for organizing it every week!
I had the idea for midnight shopping at the supermarket with Benny and then realized I didn't want the night to end there... So it didn't. I actually like this piece, even if it probably suffered a lot from my fast writing and non-existent editing. Reader is mentioned having shorter legs than Benny but other than that I think there are no descriptions or pronouns used of reader, lmk if I'm wrong.
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
You and Benny have been driving around aimlessly for a couple of hours already, taking turns in picking the music, and talking about this and that while sometimes falling into a companionable silence. It still amazes you how easy and comfortable everything is with him. You have never felt like this with a crush before, used to the feeling of always obsessing over what you felt like you could and couldn’t say or do, or spending a lot of time and energy into trying to figure out what the other thought.
No, with Benny you don’t have to pretend anything or force yourself to keep the conversation running in fear of those horrid awkward silences, because both of you know that you can talk for hours on end when the mood strikes. You met through mutual friends only a few weeks ago, but the connection was clearly there. As was the obvious mutual attraction.
Strictly speaking, though, you and Benny are just friends. Nothing has ever really happened to indicate otherwise in any case. But friends don’t usually try this hard to find any excuse just to hang out, nor do you stay up late every night talking to your other friends. And when you hang out in a group you always seem to gravitate towards one another. What’s more, somehow it always seems to be just the two of you left at the end of the night, often not even noticing the others leave.
Your interactions always border on the line of obvious flirting with your touches and already formed inside jokes, but neither of you ever dare do anything that couldn’t be brushed off as innocent behavior between friends. You guess you’re both just kind of scared to take the leap - you have been burned before, and so has he.
It’s not that you doubt your own feelings for Benny, or indeed his feelings for you. Even you have to admit that he does seem pretty interested in you, but you still wave away your friends’ squeals of “he’s totally in love with you!”, mainly not wanting to get your hopes up too much.
Because a small part of you still finds it a little hard to believe; someone so handsome and funny and kind wanting to be with you? What if he likes you, but just not as much as you like him? What if you were just a second choice for someone you really like until something better comes along - again? That scares you, both of you.
Tonight has been like many other nights lately; you had been to the movies with some of your friends, but after the movie ended you had been grasping at straws to come up with a way to continue the night so they (Benny) wouldn’t go home just yet. Benny had helpfully suggested just driving around and seeing if any ideas came to mind.
Santiago in turn had rolled his eyes at you two knowingly (making both you and Benny fluster and try to fake complete nonchalance) before saying good night and leaving with the others, who apparently didn’t feel the compulsive need to continue spending time together.
--------
The sun has gone down already but you two are still enjoying each other’s company too much to go home yet.
You end up in the 24/7 supermarket parking lot, craving a midnight snack. You are reminded of your teenage years, when you used to hang around different parking lots, popping into the store to buy a soda or a candy bar, spending all day outside with friends.
The only other customers doing their midnight shopping are tired people just off their shifts or young people staying up late just for the hell of it, much like you and Benny are, in fact. You wander around the huge store together, pointing out different products you’d like to try and reviewing stuff one of you already has tried.
Before long you realize that you have already spent almost forty minutes idly wandering around the supermarket, collecting new soda or chip flavors to test. Neither of you thought to grab a basket at the entrance, so your arms are starting to get a bit full.
“Benny, do you think this might be enough?” you ask while struggling to maintain your hold on the different bags of chips.
Benny looks back at you from where he is pondering over whether to get some ice cream. “Huh, I guess. I do still wanna get a sandwich, though!” he exclaims and promptly takes off in the direction of the deli counter where they sell sandwiches and salads left over from the day.
You try to keep up with his long strides, certain that you must look a bit comical half-running after a man with your hands full of treats. Oh, well. Benny often complains about how much focus it requires of him to “modify his steps” to fit your much shorter legs, and he always forgets about it when he gets excited.
When you catch up with him, he has already picked a sandwich for himself and one for you. “I got you salmon, that’s your favorite, right?”
“Yeah, thanks!” you say a little breathlessly after your speed-walk, taken that he remembers.
As you finally get to the cash register and start loading your stuff in your bag you see Benny sneak one more candy bar among the rest of your purchases. For someone in such good physical shape he sure does like his candy.
“Where to next?” Benny inquires as you get back to the car.
“Hmm, how about this one waterfront type swimming spot? It’s pretty secluded, has a pier, and there’s a nice view to the sea. I sometimes like to sit there on the cliffs to watch the sun go down,” you suggest, and offer him directions to the place.
It’s a short drive and you show Benny where to park his car. Even though it’s somewhere around 1 a.m. and the sun went down hours ago, the night is still light enough that you can easily see where you’re going and it doesn’t feel like you’re just sitting in the dark.
You settle down on the small pier with your sandwiches and sodas and chips and munch away happily.
Benny hands you the candy bar you saw him grab earlier at the cash register “for dessert”. It has a cheesy text on the packaging about giving this to someone special. He grins and shrugs, “I know you love these”.
It’s such a simple gesture but you can’t help feeling really flattered and even more smitten with him than you already were. You don’t read too much into the text on the packaging, but even the fact that he would buy you a candy bar he knows you love - just because - warms your heart.
(What you don’t know is that the candy bars have lots of different texts to choose from, and that Benny specifically picked “give this to someone special” instead of “give this to a friend”. There was also “give this to someone you love”, but Benny worried that might scare you off.)
--------
After you’re both done with snacking you try to think of what to do next, still reluctant to pronounce this night to be over, you get an idea.
“You know what I would really like to do right now?” you ask Benny, looking out over the water that looks so tempting. “Go swim,” you announce, turning to look at him.
“You don’t have a swimsuit with you, do you?” Benny asks, turning to look at you too.
“No… But there’s no one here,” you point out with your eyebrows raised in challenge.
Benny looks at you for a few beats with a blank expression on his face, before shrugging “Alright,” and throwing off his hoodie and t-shirt, jeans following next. “What are you waiting for?” he shouts over his shoulder as he jumps from the pier into the water.
You’re left sitting there with your mouth open, blinking rapidly as you try to catch up with the fast turn of events. Shaking your head, you stand up and shrug off your clothes before quickly running after Benny and getting into the refreshing water.
The night is still warm, and the water feels wonderful. You swim to catch up with Benny.
“You know, it’s pretty dark here but I’ve basically seen you naked now,” he remarks, waggling his eyebrows, and you snort with laughter.
“Benny, you’re not allowed to make me laugh in the water or I’ll drown,” you try to say sternly.
“Oh sweetheart, I wouldn’t let you drown,” he answers in a surprisingly serious voice.
Suddenly the energy between you is full of.. something. Something new and buzzing, sort of scary but also exciting. Something you can’t quite explain. You’re swimming around each other, looking at each other intently, but not daring to say anything that would break the moment and burst the bubble.
Someone else does that for you.
A couple of teenage girls, you’d guess around 18 years old, stumble on to the pier and immediately notice you two in the water. The other girl lets out a shriek and tightens her hold on the towel around her, and before you can even try to reassure them that everything is fine, they run off giggling and shrieking some more. Evidently, they had had the same idea for a nighttime swim but found the place already occupied.
“Yeahhhh, maybe we should put some clothes on before someone calls the police,” Benny suggests dryly.
You two climb out of the water giggling and grinning broadly. You don’t have any towels with you since you didn’t exactly plan this impromptu skinny-dipping session, but Benny gives you his hoodie to help keep you warm.
Sitting back down next to Benny you’re even closer together now than earlier, ever so slowly inching closer and closer to each other. Both of you think you could pass it off as huddling for warmth if the other were to question it, but somehow you know that won’t be an issue.
Soon enough you’re snuggling together on the waterfront overlooking the sea. You stay quietly like that for some time, maybe fifteen minutes, maybe more. It’s hard to tell when the world is so still and quiet around you.
Suddenly you think that this is it, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. In all honesty you sort of enjoy the pining stage of new relationships, but right now you feel like you might burst if you keep these feelings inside you any longer.
You turn and burrow your head into the crook of his neck and decide that you will have to take the leap now. You start pressing gentle kisses on his neck and hear Benny’s breath hitch at the first contact of your lips on his skin. He goes still as a statue, but you can feel more than hear his unsteady breathing at your actions. You’re practically vibrating with nervous excitement as you work your way up to his jaw and towards his lips.
Taking one final deep breath you close your eyes, not daring to look at Benny in the eye right now, as you bring your lips to meet his.
The kiss is sweet and unhurried, and yet your head is swimming and your whole body is buzzing with it as you melt into each other. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever felt, which just proves that everything really is different - better - with Benny. You pull away when you find yourself quickly out of breath just from feeling so much.
You finally dare to open your eyes to find Benny gazing at you with a dazed expression that surely mirrors your own and you slowly beam at each other, not feeling the need for words just now. Maybe you couldn’t even find them if you tried.
You settle back against his chest and the two of you stay like that for the rest of the night, sometimes spending long moments just kissing each other, sometimes talking quietly, sometimes just enjoying each other’s presence.
--------
Around five in the morning, when the sun is already getting up, you finally start to really feel the need for sleep. But this time it doesn’t feel wrong to leave and go home, since you’ll be going home together.
Later that day you wake up to a good morning, sweetheart in Benny’s arms where you fell asleep on his couch, tired but happier than you’ve ever felt in your life.

Hello, I'm kinda new so I'm sorry if you don't want to write this.
Asa and jesse with an reader that is Brazilian (idk if you have watched modern family but she is a bit like Gloria)
I hope this is okey (also I saw that you wanted something fluff to stop crying lol same! So could you make it fluffy maybe where the reader just goes into a raging fit and they have to calm her down bc she is cussing someone out in Spanish bc they told her to fuck off to her own land!)
Sorry this is maybe a long ask I don't normally write this much lol.
Alright, bye!
Hi!! It is perfectly fine to be detailed in the asks! I’ve never watched modern family :( but I have a decent idea of what to write for this! I don’t know if you wanted Asa and Jesse separate or together but for now I write those two characters separate. Once I actually get more comfy writing for them than I will do them together!
Jesse and Asa with a Brazilian S/O:
Jesse Cromeans
Jesse found your personality interesting to say the least. The way you told people off when they said something mean. You truly spoke your mind and he liked that. It showed you could take care of yourself.
Sometimes, your feisty personality can cause a bit of a commotion, yelling at people because of what they said. Like now, you were yelling at a rude person that told you to “fuck off to your own land.”
You called Jesse, knowing he could deal with this and telling yourself you had some place better to be. But the person just kept talking down on you. So you handled it your way, threatening them in your native language.
You didn’t care for the stares people gave you, just focused on not killing this Idiotic person in front of you. By the time Jesse arrived at the store you resided in, the poor person looked like they feared for their life.
Rightfully so, your tone and body language radiating confidence and anger. To be honest, Jesse found you attractive when you were like this. You’re a strong person and he searches for that in his partner.
Once he thought the scene should come to an end, he walked up behind you quietly as he nodded to the door, looking down at the frightened individual. They scurried out the building, watching from the glass window as they hurried down the sidewalk.
You were still pissed at the audacity they had, running a hand through your hair. You whipped around, heading to walk out the door too but there was a large figure in your way.
“Get the hell out of my way!” You didn’t bother to look up, only shifting to walk around them. A light hand grabbed your wrist, holding you to where you couldn’t move from them. You looked up, ready to call this guy off too.
That was until you realized it was Jesse. You scoffed, shaking your head as you moved to his chest. “About time you came here. Thought I was about to slaughter that guy right there.”
He wrapped his arms around you, a quick hug before ushering you out the door with a firm grip around your waist. You continued to complain about the guy, Jesse nodding along with everything you said as he opened the car door for you.
He would end up taking you to a more quieter store, a pristine place that was clam and collected. No more racist or misogynistic people. Just a place where Jesse can help you distract yourself from the incident.
After you’re done, you guys go to the park to have a nice, refreshing nature walk as Jesse signs to you all the different things he knows about plants. He might even ask you questions about your family tree and your home land.
He loves to learn from you, attentively listening as he tilts his head. He’ll ask questions to make sure you know he’s listening. Once you guys find a spot to rest at, Jesse will hold you close into his side, a comforting arm wrapped around your shoulders as you enjoy the shade from the sun. Such a good bf <3
Asa Emory
Asa doesn’t know how he stands you with your snarky remarks to him and the attitude you carry around. But, none the less, he loves it about you. Knowing that you’re not totally dependent on him when he’s doing his work. (But it makes him feel good that you still come to him for your problems)
He had just gotten home from the college, dressed up more clean and precise for the date you guys planned today. Luckily, you got up early with him so you had plenty of time to get ready.
You hurried down stairs in your nice outfit you bought, showing it off to Asa as he’d usually ask you too. Your smile was warm and sincere, the best thing to come home to he decided.
“How do I look?” He rolled his eyes at the question. Obviously he loved it, and by the way you were smiling, you already knew the answer. He would sigh, a small smile on his face as he complimented you. “Now, come on, I want to see the new restaurant they have opened up.”
You kept the smile, walking to the door as he exited with you, locking it behind him. You both entered the car and drove to the destination.
You knew by now that when something new and fresh was in town, Asa was quick to inspect it. Sometimes it felt like he was the damn health inspector. He would just avoid the workers entirely as he walked around the dining area, admiring the paintings and walls.
He heard a few conversations as he walked by, some spoken in an unpleasant manner. That was until he heard an all to familiar voice yelling. He was back to the other room in an instant, taking in the commotion.
You were yelling in your native language, mixing between English and Portuguese insults. Somewhere in the mix of words, he understood that you were yelling at them because they told you to “fuck off to your own land.”
Asa believed that you would be able to handle this, maybe a little to well by the way you were walking towards the now cowering person. Once you had quit raging at the man and your tone died down, the person ran out the restaurant in a hurry.
Though he knew you were well prepared to stand your ground, it didn’t stop him from feeling that rage and sadistic urges bubble up inside him as that pathetic person talked down on you. He didn’t like when people interrupted your time together, especially when it was in a negative way.
He was swift in his movements, grabbing your wrist to drag to you back to where he was once feeling of the wallpaper. The dining room was quite fancy and calm, opposite of the incident that just happened.
He knew you were in need of some peace, and so was he. Asa wasn’t about to let this night slip away because of some stupid persons words. He pulled out the chair, letting you sit down as he took place across the table in front of you.
He took in your facial features, noticing the hints of irritation and annoyance still there. He cracked his fingers, as he thought about his choice of words. Asa wasn’t the best at comfort, but he tried with you.
“Don’t let that useless person keep you frustrated. Let’s continue the night we planned.” He looked over you again, seeing if his words had any impact. Your face seemed to relax, sighing as you gave him that smile he liked. You nodded to his words, soon distracted from the waiter giving you menus.
A few minutes passed, Asa looking over his menu to you. You were deciding what you wanted, a clear thinking face on you. He was almost.. proud at the way you didn’t take the shit some people did to you. Of course, it’s not like he’s gonna outright going to say it, but he’s happy at the way you are.
You looked up, making eye contact with your boyfriend who quickly looked back down at the menu. Asa cleared his throat, furrowing his brows as he “read” the menu. You only chuckled, closing the booklet as you laid it down flat.
“What is it?” You had a smile on your face, your elbows resting the table. Asa glanced up at you, slightly shrugging his shoulders as he was quick to look back down to actually decide on what to order. “Nothing.”
It was a decent night for both of you, a few conversations you started up yourself. He didn’t answer back as much, but you grew used to it as you happily carried the small talks.
Once you two returned home, Asa acted a little more gentler, small touches here and there after you dressed into more comfier clothes to sleep in. He would hold you closer than usual, deciding that it would be best to keep you calm for the night and let you forget what happened entirely. At least he’s trying :)

Your thoughts on the epi? And the trailers? I'm loving the in love Edser! We've waited so long for this!!!
This episode was so fun and fluffy! I don't know about you, but I am enjoying the tone during this second season. A lot. I don't care how stupid the audition process was for the spot in the school, it gave us some very good comedy and a lot of USTy, sexy, flirty goodness.
And like you, I also love in love Edser!
Thankfully this episode was dominated by Edser, and with Kiraz at Granny's house we even got some alone time. The supporting characters were used to good effect this episode, Engin and Piril were the funniest they've ever been, Kerem and Pina served to poke Serkan about his mentoring style, and it was actually nice to have an excuse for Ayfer and Aydan to share a storyline again.
(more under the cut)
However, we'll start with Burak and Melo. UGH. I mean I love Melo and Elcin has done a really good job of showing Melo's heartbreak and trying to hide her melancholy behind her usual bubbly personality, but I really can't stand that it's over such a dud of a character. I know I'm a broken record here but Melo deserves better than this fool. Honestly, he's such a bland sad sack I don't really get why Melo loves him, Eda wants to be friends with him and Ayfer thinks he's so great she wants him for a nephew-in-law. Well, for Ayfer the only qualification is that he's not Serkan, so never mind that question.
However, maybe there's some hope? Before this episode it seemed certain they were heading in a romance direction, but the way he told her she was like a sister to him? Is there really any coming back from him saying that after he remembered kissing her? On the other hand we're barreling towards the end here and there's not really enough time to introduce anyone new for Melo (and no indication from spoilers that they have) and I'm pretty sure Ayse and the writers want to give her a romantic happy ending (although I'd be fine if they didn't and instead had her go off and do something entirely for herself like go back to school or travel or open a shop). So we'll see, because even with the sister line they left some room open because Kerem was the one who suggested he say that (it wasn't necessarily his own idea) and with Melo he seemed to be coming from a place where he assumed he had forced himself on her and she was angry because she didn't want it. Which we know is not true, so might be a misunderstanding that leads to something more. Anyway, I guess we'll just have to endure whichever way they go.
Personally, I like the Serkan-Kemal father storyline. I think it's a good way to add a bit of drama in the waning episodes, gives Serkan a bit of an identity crisis, interestingly mirrors his own situation with Kiraz, and it just makes sense with everything we know of the characters. Because were we seriously supposed to believe that someone as sniveling as Alptelkin sired Serkan? I mean Serkan is the epitome of BDE, he has an inherent charismatic and commanding presence. Sorry to the actor who played Alptekin, but he didn't really have any kind of presence, however Sinan who plays Kemal, does. They've done a great job of casting, because it just feels true. I believe Kemal and Serkan share genetics.
However, even before that storyline starts in earnest, it's interesting that Serkan was being a big baby, not wanting his mom with a man she clearly loves. I wish Eda would have pushed back at him a little more when he was going off that Aydan shouldn't pursue love at her age! Does he think he'll be out of love with Eda by the time he's in his 50s and 60s? Of course not! I'm guessing Eda, though, is just letting him blow off some steam and come to accept the relationship on his own terms. Don't get me wrong, though, after all the meddling Aydan's done with Edser, she more than deserves to have Serkan's opinion of Kemal negatively impact her!
Loved that Kiraz and Can found out first that Kemal is Serkan's father! Cat is out of the bag, Aydan, you can't make a deal with a 5 year old, lmao. It put a nice ticking clock on the whole thing and gave us some good comedic moments where Kiraz is speaking the truth and everyone thinks she's just really fond of the dude. Hee.
Also I enjoyed the Aydan and Ayfer moments. To be honest, I also used to enjoy their true friendship moments when we got them, like when Kemal first appeared and Aydan was freaking out and needed Ayfer and Seyfi around her, and when they were trying to hunt down Deniz after the fake wedding turned real. After so much animosity, it was nice that Ayfer recognized that Aydan was truly in distress and needed a friend and they were able to actually talk. Also we got some (mildly) funny comedy with the two of them and the school lady. Speaking of Ayfer, thankfully she finally realized some consequences to her actions in pushing Burak at Eda. She hurt Melo! Glad she finally opened her eyes to see what should have been obvious to her (Eda never saw him that way, and Melo obviously did) and apologized to Melo. I'd like it if she would apologize to Eda as well, (and Burak deserves an apology as well because she most definitely gave him false hope) but since Eda wasn't influenced by her we probably won't see that.
Switching to Eda and Serkan this episode gave us lots of good stuff. This was a great episode for showing us where each of them stood. Eda is terrified of getting hurt and trying to hold him at arm's length even while he clearly is inching back into her heart, and Serkan is dreaming of their future together, and taking every opportunity to tie them together. How much did I love Serkan admitting he was poking at Eda, and doig things to make her angry, just so she would talk to him? Interesting that he's doing it and love that he's being honest and admitting it to her. One of my favorite relationship dynamics between them is around "talking." In the very beginning Serkan did a lot of complaining about how much Eda talked and how she never shut up, but starting around episode 18 all he wanted was for Eda to talk to him. And this is just more of that. The thing he wants most is to talk to her.
Plus watching domestic Edser is just so much fun, I could watch their full grocery shopping trip in real time and be perfectly happy, lol. At the age of 35 it's time that Serkan learn how to do a few things for himself, I don't care how rich he is, so it's nice that we see him evolving a bit as he embraces the dad role.
The jealousy gambits, even as mild as they are, are getting pretty eye roll worthy since Eda and Serkan are living together, care so much, and obviously are still so hot for one another. It's a bit more understandable from Serkan since Eda is the one creating the barrier between them, but are we really supposed to believe that Eda is jealous of Deniz when Serkan is so obviously in love with Eda and planning their future together? Especially when he clearly can't stand Deniz and tries so hard to avoid her? I suppose it's to show us that Eda is in a jumbled state, her head is trying to keep space with Serkan, while her heart wants him badly and is scared he's going to take her rejections seriously. Even so it was quite irrational for her to get angry at Serkan for having lunch with Deniz when she ordered him to leave with her. Poor Eda is in emotional turmoil.
It was hard to tell with shaky translations, but I guess Serkan claimed to have been injured while rescuing Eda and that's how he talked his way into her bed? Impressively done, Serkan. Love it because it meant we all got to wake up to snuggly family, snuggling together. This gave us another glimpse into Eda's psyche, she wakes up first, and is clearly enjoying it and feeling at home in his arms, until the sleep clears enough and her head realizes she's not supposed to be enjoying it. But once again Kiraz knows how to handle her parents and their complicated relationship beautifully and fixes everything with a pillow fight. That is one smart cookie.
One of my favorite moments of the episode is when Eda is trying to convince Serkan to go to Aydan about the school. Eda knows that her big eyes still work on him, and they did. He still can't say no to her, another one of my favorite relationship dynamics of theirs. I'm super glad some things never change. Speaking of their visit to Aydan's, how great that they went to meet the horse without a name as a family, and then Serkan finally came up with the perfect name. Definitely a star.
Love, love, love that Serkan and Eda beat Engin and Piril when it came to the 'how well do you know your spouse' game. They may have been separated for 5 years, but they both have a genuine interest in the other, so they remember things, and they always made a much more compatible couple than Engin/Piril who have absolutely nothing in common. Of course I adored all the fake married hijinx this gave us, not to mention all the opportunities for Serkan to touch, kiss, and hold her. SO MUCH UST!
The heart-to-heart on the bench was well done and it finally gave us Eda opening up and telling him what's been holding her back. She's scared. Of course she is, the poor thing. Serkan might have thought he was doing it for her own good both times, but he ripped her heart out twice (not even counting all the heart ripping he did during amnesia) how could she not have fears? Of course she's afraid! Whenever she lets herself love him and be loved by him, it's ripped away horribly, and often in ways that feels like it's him doing the ripping. She can take into consideration the circumstances, which she has or else he wouldn't be anywhere near her, and still need time to be sure she's not just setting herself up to get emotionally demolished again.
For Serkan's part all he can do is keep being there, being honest with her, and showing he's in it for the long haul, which I think he's doing and which is why they are where they are at the end of this episode.
Engin and Piril's dance practice is probably the first Engin/Piril alone scene that I thought was genuinely funny and fully enjoyable. I can't think of another... message me if you think there is one, lol. Elsewhere, I saw some folks saying that Engin and Piril should have won the dance competition, because they actually danced, and Eda and Serkan didn't. LOL, you think? I'm pretty sure that was the point. That Eda and Serkan didn't really dance, all they did was get up there and turn their sexual tension and intense smoldering towards one another up to eleventy and won because it's that powerful.
It's sort of a metaphor for this whole series. Sen Cal Kapimi is 100% powered by their chemistry. Of course they can win any competition by just pressing their bodies against one another! They can turn a ditzy Turkish summer romcom that probably should have gone 13 eps into an international hit that's going on 50 episodes, just by looking at one another.
I'm glad that the school officials overheard their conversations and dismissed them, any organization that requires this of the parents, is going to be a lifelong pain-in-the ass, lmao. Also it was good to see Edser and EnPir make up by the end.
Now, on to that ending. I'm glad the subject of the tatoos was brought up, interesting that Eda kept hers until a few months ago. Also interesting that she moved it... can't blame Serkan for wanting to see it. Was that one great seduction line, or what?
I join with everyone who thinks it was a slightly awkward place to leave the episode. We only have 13 (probably) episodes this season, and we've only had one kiss so far. That was definitely a moment for a kiss. Part of me thinks they were going for the cliffhanger, what will Eda do? Will she kiss him or slam the door in his face? Tune in next week to find out! Except that audiences have to wait no time at all for the fragman and that makes any such cliffhanger moot. So what's the point? Have her pull him in, kiss him, and the show can end with them passionately making out and the door slamming with the camera outside the house.
Oh well, it is what it is, and we can only hope they pick up next week right where they left off. As for the fragman, obviously they are fully back together for this episode which means she lets him in to hunt for her tattoo. (please oh please give us that internet ozel because I don't think I can stand being online in this fandom if they don't. Thankfully I'm traveling next week and will be too busy to spend much time on twitter.)
As I said in another ask, I'm not surprised Serkan is barreling them straight towards marriage. When you know, you know, so why wait? Once they emotionally commit to one another, they need to just get married. No waiting for psychos to interfere, family to meddle, or tragedy to strike!
Seriously can't wait for a full episode of them together and Serkan figuring out how to propose. I'm also looking forward to the Kemal/Serkan stuff, it will be interesting to see how he reacts once the news sets in... should be a great episode!

Fruits Basket - Vol 23
It's the final banquet babyyyy
Tumblr media
(i hate how blurry that picture is but my camera just wouldn't fucking focus)(also yeah i colored in the speech bubbles, they were kinda confusing without context and didn't have anything to do with this specific frame)
So everyone's gathered in the main Sohma house, and no one really knows what's going on. They have no idea what to expect. Hiro notes that the grown-ups are "the ones who can't sit still today". Some miscellaneous stuff happens but I'm not sure if it's worth talking about? After the miscellaneous stuff, it is announced that Akito is ready for everyone to see, and out she steps in a kimono (I bet it's red; she'd look great in red, I think) and asks where Shigure is, because he apparently dipped out. Ritsu is in complete awe, does Akito partake in the same hobby he does? No, Ritsu, this is who she is.
There's a brief flashback to the previous book, where Shigure gave her something, and said "I guess you could call it a farewell present." Akito did not take kindly to that at all, and lashed out, accusing him of being the first to abandon her. He asks where she got that idea, he meant that she's finally becoming her own person, rather than the person her father wanted her to be, and his gift was something to commemorate that. Welcome in the new Akito, and all that.
Back to the present, Akito explains that the rest of the Juunishi were able to become their true selves, beyond the curse, and so she decided to as well. She tries to apologize, but she can't-- she knows that won't make up for anything that she did, at all.
It goes back to that memory with Shigure (this chapter is just a series of flashbacks and flashpresents) and he teases her, saying that he didn't know he was so important to her, and Akito insists that wasn't the case, that he was the one that she was most afraid of, the one that strayed the furtherest from her, bond or not. He says he had to keep his cool, be nonchalant, because otherwise he'd explode (ka-blooey). He says that he's childish, and doesn't like getting hurt, he hates losing, and he can't stand sharing things. This causes Akito to basically go Ó///Ò in realization, and he confirms that realization (the realization being that he likes her as well, in case you didn't catch it. It kinda took me a second on first reading, and I'm not exactly explaining this the best), and says that if Akito wants to reject him, now's the time, that if she comes to him again, it'll become a Thing. They'll become a Thing.
Back to the meeting, Akito says that she still wants to live with the Sohma family, because there are still things she feels she needs to do. She still is, at the end of the day, the head of the family, it's her duty (probably). She plans on talking to Ren, which I imagine will go well. After the meeting (I think, I don't think it's before, though timey wimey stuff is difficult), Akito is with Shigure, and he's asking if she wants him to stay at the main Sohma house, and she asks if he's angry about it. The vibe I get from him is "yesn't", honestly, but hey if they're happy, I guess it's fine.
Next chapter!
So there are two exposition characters (I'm sorry but that's really all they are) at school, and one of them sees Kyo. She gets excited, maybe she can go talk to him, and the other thinks he's waiting for Tohru, his girlfriend, to finish up with her tests. The first girl goes, "Whaaa?? When did that happen??", and the second says that it happened shortly after Tohru came back from the hospital. The first girl's hopes and dreams are apparently destroyed, I guess she liked Kyo.
It pans back to Tohru, now finished with her test, and the teacher, Mayu, wishing her a good summer vacation, it'll be her last. She also asks if something happened in the Sohma family, because a certain He seemed a little happier when she saw him yesterday. Tohru took "he" to mean Kyo and Yuki, and was basically like "yeah I guess so". Mayu played it off, yeah yeah those two that's definitely who she meant yeah totally see you next school term byeeee.
At the house (Shigure's house), Kyo, Yuki, and Tohru are talking about the meeting, and how it felt like it came out of nowhere. They were surprised that Tohru already knew about Akito, but she had to pretend she didn't for Akito's privacy (you don't just out people, that's rude). She asks if it was that much of a shock, and Yuki says he's mostly dumbfounded, though there has been a lot going on lately, a lot to think about. Kyo says he feels weird about it, simply because now he knows he's been violent with a woman all this time, but also says something about if Akito was a man, Kyo would be in trouble if there was another guy who liked Tohru. I'm not really sure where he got that idea, but Yuki thought it was pretty funny. It made Tohru realize that the air between Kyo and Yuki had cooled off significantly, and they seemed to be more at ease with each other than they ever had before (i mean in the beginning yuki would sneeze and kyo would be like "and i took that personally", so yeah they've changed a lot). She asked Kyo what had caused that change, and he told her that Yuki beat the crap out of him, and knocked some screws loose, but it was okay. They needed to be loosened.
Later, it seems that Kyo and Tohru went to Kazuma's house, where Kazuma said "I have no regrets. At this point, I'm prepared for death at any time.", because he's happy, y'know? But Tohru and (that other guy whose name completely escapes me wtf) protest at that, saying that you can't say things like that, it's not true! The other whispers to Kazuma that he can't die yet, because when they get married and have kids, he'll be a grandparent, which he seems to like the idea of. He tells Tohru that he eagerly awaits that time, but since Tohru didn't overhear it, she just awkwardly agrees that she also can't wait. (Kyo kinda caught on though)
Izusu comes in, says, "This is stupid, by the way", then walks out before anyone can respond. Tohru follows after her, and Kyo asks what Izusu was saying. Kazuma says that a lot has happened recently, and not everyone is going through the same thing.
Going with Tohru, she finds Izusu in another room, saying that she doesn't get it, how can he (Kyo, presumably) act like nothing's wrong, after all that's happened, and how Tohru can do the same, after she got so hurt?! Those kinds of hurt don't go away easily. Izusu continues, and says that if she had to choose to forgive Akito or not, she wouldn't, because she can't. She doesn't want Akito to apologize, and she can't help but feel like she's doing something wrong, because she can't make herself accept everything and move on. Tohru reassures her that there's nothing wrong with her, she didn't do anything wrong. Izusu wonders if her demeanor will turn Haru away, if it will disappoint him. Tohru says that there's no way that Haru could hate her.
The scene changes to Akito, who is talking to that one old lady who pops up every now and then, but I've never seen her name, who says that Akito went to see Ren again, but heard that she wasn't able to really talk to her. She says it would be faster to chase her out of the house, but it's also possible that Akito complicated things by staying at the house. She continues, saying how it must be nice being young, and being able to change your life so easily. She notes that she was born with the Sohma family, and raised with them, and has lived at the house for sixty years, she couldn't change her life now. Akito says that no one can change every thing, and no one would be asking her to. Maybe all she needs is a helping hand. In the end, the maid simply walks away, but y'know, not everyone wants to change, or feels like they can, it's fine.
In the next chapter, it seems like it's the date with Tohru and Kyo that Uotani and Hanajima decided to tag along with. Kyo is thinking back to that moment when he tore off his bracelet, and how afterward, Tohru picked up all the beads. She put them in a little bowl in her room, next to the picture of her mom. In the moment, he could only watch as she did it, and in all honesty he wouldn't have minded if she had tossed them into a fire, but it also occurred to him that he might regret not having them. As he watched Tohru pick up the beads, he thought of it like she was "protecting both the me of now and the me of the future". Alternatively, and this one is a bit spoopy, she was gathering the memories of the people over the (many, many, many) years that had worn that bracelet. Either way, he realized that loving someone isn't just about loving the person as they currently are, but as they were, and as they will be.
That's what he thinks anyway.
I mentioned the date but I didn't talk about it at all. They went to a zoo, Uotani got excited about seeing elephants, and they went to a place with cats, and the cats did not care either way about Kyo. It was neat. By the end of the day, Tohru went off to use the bathroom, leaving Kyo with Hanajima and Uotani. This is when Hanajima asks Kyo if he's going to take Tohru away with him. She knew the time would come, eventually, when she, Uotani, and Tohru, would part ways, but it still hurts to think about. Uotani says that, despite how they might act, they do like Kyo, even if they think he's a bit of a dumbass (Uotani's words, btw), and it's because they both think he's a good guy. He just has to take care of Tohru, because she's like family to them, so he'd best not fuck up.
When Tohru comes back, Kyo says there's a place that he wants to take Tohru before going home. Can we go see what Yuki's up to first? Okay yeah we're going to do that now, we'll get back to Tohru and Kyo, don't worry.
So Yuki's at Kakeru's place, and it seems that they're talking about their college plans. Apparently Yuki's going to a college pretty far away from where they're currently at, but if they have subjects that he's interested in, it's fine. (I don't think it's ever said what exactly those subjects are. Like, what's his major? Do I really care? Eh. But it's still nice to know. Same thing for Kakeru, what is he doing?) When Yuki says he'll be living on his own, Kakeru asks if he can manage, he doesn't want to go for a visit and see an emaciated Yuki (living on like,, partially-cooked instant ramen noodles, and several scattered half-empty water bottles in a nest of laundry and schoolwork). Yuki is more optimistic, saying he's going to learn by doing (so that means those cups of instant ramen will be completely cooked). Apparently he told Machi about it and she's fine with it, though she would not be fine if she heard Kakeru saying that anyone is "climbing the stairway to adulthood" which honestly I wouldn't be fine with that either, that just sounds stupid.
Komaki asks how Yuki's going to get the money to live somewhere, and Yuki says that he considered asking his parents, but in the end he asked Ayame to help. Ayame was overjoyed to help, and went nuts to find a place that would suit Yuki's needs (Or be the foundation of his "empire", as he phrased it).
When asked about college, Kakeru said he'd go, not because he really wants to, but mostly because people keep telling him to. He was planning on taking over Komaki's family business (they run a laundry service), but he supposes he'll go anyway.
Later, Machi shows up with a package of meat, which Komaki was very excited about. Kakeru trotted out his "stairway to adulthood" line on Machi, and Machi punched him in the face along with the meat, she somehow balanced the meat on her fist to smash into Kakeru's face, much to Komaki's distress (over the meat, not Kakeru).
Anyway, let's go back to Tohru and Kyo.
Kyo took Tohru to the graveyard, and they're standing at the Honda's family tombstone(memorial? thingie? idk), and he says that after he graduates, he wants to leave, because he's spent his whole life up until pretty recently avoiding life, and not letting himself get involved in things. But now that he's a normal person, he wants to live in the world as a normal person, with Tohru, and because of all of this, he wants to go outside of this place that he's been his whole life. Tohru asks where he's planning to go, and he says that Kazuma knows someone with a dojo, but it's really far from where they presently live. He says he's planning on going there first, attending the dojo while he works, and then one day, he'll inherit Kazuma's dojo, using the experience from the first dojo. He hesitates on asking Tohru to break away from everything and everyone she's known to go off with him, but Tohru agrees, and says she wants to go with him, as soon as possible.
There is one thing that Tohru wants to tell Kyo, and it's that she's sure that her mom never hated him. Even if she did say that she would never forgive him, Tohru is confident that she didn't say it out of hate, she knows it. She will go along with Kyo, even if it hurts to leave everyone else, because it would hurt her more to be apart from him (🥺). To end this section, Kyo says that he'll keep the promise he made to Kyoko about Tohru, all that while back, and he'll keep it for his whole life.
(don't mind me i'm just screeching and wheezing simultaneously this shit is too much i'm gonna die)
Onto the next section, it actually has to do with Kyoko and Katsuya. Mostly Kyoko, and her last thoughts before she died. At first, it was weird. What's going on? She can't hear anything, she doesn't even really hurt. Why is it so dark? Oh crap, Tohru! She can't leave yet, she doesn't want to leave Tohru alone, she only just got into high school. She hopes that she loved her enough, and that Tohru knew that, though she wished she could have had more time to love Tohru. She finally understands, though, that leaving people behind and being left behind, they're both so hard. She hopes that someone can be there for Tohru, to protect her, stay with her as she cries.
She then sees Kyo, and recognizes him as the little orange-haired kiddo she used to talk to sometimes, and hopes that even if he forgets about her, that the next time Tohru gets lost, Kyoko wants him to find her, even just once. If he doesn't do that, she'll never forgive him(that's what she meant, out of what he heard, by the way). She hopes that he can somehow take her place, and protect Tohru, and let her be happy, let her be loved by lots of people. Even if she gets lost or makes a mistake, Kyoko wants Tohru to be proud of the life she lived.
Then she wakes up in a place. I don't really know what the place looks like, but I imagine it as a light blue shimmery place, and she can see someone walking towards her, from a distance. Katsuya. Suddenly she's young again, with her long hair and uniform, and she can be with the man she loves again. (🥺😭 dissolves in my tears)
There's a time skip, now Tohru, Yuki, Kyo, Hanajima, and Uotani have graduated, and it soon after shows Tohru and Kyo cleaning up their rooms, and reminiscing about when Tohru first arrived. A lot has changed in that time, it's incredible. Tohru thinks on how she will miss everyone, and all the things that have happened (in the span of a year, right? This all mostly happened within a year or two?). Kyo then says that everyone loves and appreciates her, and it's not like she'll never see any of them again, it's just the start of something new. Then Tohru's stomach grumbles and she gets embarrassed (oh no im hungry how embarrassing 😖)
We then jump to Yuki and Machi, and Yuki gives Machi a key to his new place, because he doesn't want her to think that he's cheating on her (why would she think that???) and then nearly fuckin yeets it out the window when she says that she's not worried that he'd do that. (So he does want her to have trust issues? Yuki, dude, you're confusing me on this) I think that Machi is a year behind Yuki, so she won't be starting college the same time as he will, but she promises that she'll follow after him and be back with him as soon as she can, which is very sweet.
This whole section is mostly jumping from one group of people to the next, so I think I'll try to summarize:
Ritsu and Kagura are talking, it seems that Ritsu is giving Kagura his old kimonos. He's cut his hair shorter, and he mentions how Shigure apparently has quit being an author, much to the relief of his editor, Mitsuru. Kagura asks if Ritsu is going to marry Mitsuru, which leaves him very flustered. Kagura still is hung up on Kyo, and says that she'll see Kyo and Tohru go just to see Kyo. She won't well wish them, because she knows that they'll be happy regardless.
Hiro and Kisa are walking past Shigure's old house, speculating on what is going to happen to it. Hiro says he thinks it will stay as it is for a while, which makes Kisa happy. She hopes that it can stay up and that a new household can live in it. She then starts crying, thinking about Kyo and Tohru leaving, but she says that she will smile when she sees them go, on the next day. Hiro tells her to not be upset over crying, that she can cry as much as she wants, because he knows how much Tohru means to Kisa.
Haru, Izusu, and Momiji are talking, and Haru mentions how Hatori said that eventually, Shigure's gonna get punched in the face, but he never did. Momiji says that it didn't happen because they are all more mature than Shigure. He says as an aside that he doesn't think it should be allowed that Kyo is "taking away" Tohru, because he's being selfish, and that he wants to pinch Kyo. Haru asks why he shouldn't do it tomorrow, and Momiji says that he can't do it in front of Tohru, but this whole thing has given Momiji a new sense of motivation, to find the best girlfriend in the world, and then he'll show her off to Kyo (not the best motivation to find a partner but okay). Izusu pops up by saying that she thinks Tohru should break up with Kyo. I'm not sure why though.
It's shown that Hanajima is working at Kazuma's place as a cook, which is something that Kyo was not pleased to find out, but despite his best efforts, The Guy Who is Also There at the Dojo Whose Name I Cannot Remember can't figure out how to get her to leave. Kazuma says that he will miss Kyo, but he won't worry about him. He's in good hands now.
Uotani is on the phone with Kureno, saying that she'll send his regards to Tohru and Kyo. She also says that she will miss Tohru, but she's also excited for her, for the both of them. She asks if the cherry blossoms are blooming yet, and that she'll have to make her way out to see them (and Kureno) soon.
Ayame and Mine are sending well wishes gifts in the form of big flouncy dresses, for Tohru (who I imagine would be flattered but I doubt she would wear them). Mine says that now that the time has come, she finds this sensation of "children leaving the nest" to be lonely, and Ayame agrees, and says that's exactly why adults put obnoxious amounts of love into cardboard boxes with instant ramen, socks, maid outfits, what have you. (They then say that they're going to send similarly flouncy dresses to Yuki, who I doubt will respond kindly)
Mayu and Hatori are on a date, and he offers to take her with him on a summer vacation to Okinawa. He says he's never been on a "decent" vacation, and that he wants to see the country. Mayu starts cracking up at the idea of Hatori in a swimsuit, then sobers quickly at the idea of herself in one, saying that her figure isn't ideal for a swimsuit (from the way she talked about herself I think she'd be all the rage in early 2000's Western fashion).
Akito says that she's not going to see Tohru and Kyo leave, saying that if she wants to visit Tohru, she'll go and see her, but I imagine it's also for the sake of everyone else that would be there.
Finally, we end with Yuki going to talk to Tohru. He tells her that he's happy about all that has happened, and that he's glad that he has gotten to this point. He says that he was weak, that he couldn't handle being around people, but he wanted to be loved, and be needed. All he ever did, he says, is want. But during that crucial time, Tohru appeared, and fulfilled that wish without even trying. He learned so much from her, and she gave him what he needed, and that's how he is able to be the person he presently is. And he also finally says that she was basically his mother, in a way. He wonders if she was like that to everyone, with how warm, welcome, and gentle she is to everyone she meets. He goes on to say that in this time, when everyone is parting ways, everyone is thinking of Tohru, wondering if she's happy, if she's crying, if she's doing well. Finally, he thanks her, and says that he's so glad that he got to meet her, and that she was there for him, and for all of them. (He also actually says her name, which he's never done, I don't think. It's always been "Honda-san", but never "Tohru", but now he's said it. There's really not an English version of that, as far as I'm aware, but from what I know, it is a pretty significant thing.)
There's a little bit of an epilogue, showing a child walking into a house, asking where Tohru and Kyo are. A woman replies saying, "That's Grandma and Grandpa to you!", but the child pouts and says that Grandma said she could call her by her name, and that they left her behind again on their walk. The woman tells her to not get in the way of their "lovey-dovey alone time", and there's a final establishing shot of Tohru and Kyo walking together, holding hands, with Kyoko's words: "Repeat the good, and the bad. Do it all, and pile on the years."
And that's the end!
I think I'm heartless, because I didn't cry at the end. I wanted to, but I didn't. Overall, I really liked this series! It was a lot of fun to read, a lot of shit goes down, it was a rollercoaster. Thinking back on how the story started, knowing some of the events that occurred before the story started, it all kinda leaves a bitter taste in my mouth (mainly the teasing that Kyo gets about him "training in the mountains", and knowing what was actually going on, it's kinda hard to laugh now 😬). One thing that I was kinda expecting the story to mention, but never did, was Izusu's mark on her back. It looks like some kinda of scar, but I never saw anything addressing it. Now that I think about it, it could have been from a number of things, but it was never said explicitly, which I think is weird. I think I'm gonna leave it here (I'm typing this last portion on my phone at 3:45am so it could be better).

Um hi when your request are open I really enjoyed the fundy npc au could you do a bit of a continuation, like maybe alivebur is just dragging fundy into his mess at attempting to break dream out of prison. I'm perfectly fine if your not interested in it
Now. As I've said, I usually might not do requests or continuations when it comes to stuff I put in the "Brainrot Central" thing cause it's just full of fanfic stuff that entered my brain and I had to write down so it would leave.
However, the NPC Fundy AU has a special place in my heart. Mostly cause Fundy vibing on his own and not actually getting involved with the whole dsmp thing is nice. And yes, I am very much aware that taking out Fundy within the storyline would cause some stuff to be different. But essentially, all the major stuff that happened, still happened. It's only minor things that have changed. But otherwise, the same stuff still happened.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. I'm adding the link of the ao3 here, but the story is also after the Keep Reading.
Ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/31985884/chapters/81078352
The cottage had rotted beyond repair by the time he got home.
Wilbur had rushed to the front door, forgetting the bags of missed gifts that he’d brought with him. He flung the door open, the hinges so loose that the piece of wood slammed onto the wall before collapsing to the ground. He coughed at the cloud of the dust that flew right into his face.
“Fundy?! Fundy! I’m home!” Wilbur stepped into the house, “Fundy, papa’s home!”
There was no shout of joy, no hurried footsteps, no little boy that clung to his leg and demanded to know where Wilbur had been. He took a deep breath through clenched teeth, quelling the panic that had begun to bubble in his chest. His son was asleep, surely. He walked deeper into the house, frowning once he realized how utterly devoid the house was of furniture. Portraits had been torn off the walls, wooden chairs had been smashed against the floor, and there were random patches of black on the stone floor - almost like someone had set a fire on them. Wilbur quietly headed towards his son’s bedroom, finding the door open and the bed completely empty.
Wilbur staggered back. His son had to be somewhere nearby. He wrapped his arms around himself, trying to keep himself from falling into hysterics. Fundy had to be nearby. He had to be.
At some point, Wilbur found himself wandering over to the living room.
He found the letter on the table, his hands shaking while he reached to pick it up.
Wilbur could only read the first and second lines before his knees buckled underneath him, his breath picking up. A god. A god. A god had taken his son. His hand clenched around the paper, his heart breaking once he realized that the paper itself looked a year old. Wilbur was only glad that it hadn’t been a day old. He laughed at the thought of that misery. Imagine finally coming home, only to realize that you were late for one day. That he could have stopped his son from leaving if he’d just been a day earlier. Then again, what did it matter? One day. One week. One month. One year. One hour. One minute. One second. He was late. Wilbur had been late to come home. He broke his promise. He should have been there for his son. He’d been gone for six years. Six long years. His baby wouldn’t even be a baby anymore. He’d be… He’d be fourteen.
His sadness melted into anger. The gods have been a menace to his life, and now one has taken his son. It wasn’t enough that they’d trapped him in their barbaric world. They took his son too. He’d promised himself to live for his son. That no matter what the gods threw at him, he would not kneel to their whims. Schlatt had called him insane, that he was better off resigning himself to a pitiful life within the gods’ realm, a puppet whose purpose was to entertain them. Schlatt had nothing to live for anyway, except his alcohol. He didn’t know what it was like to be a father.
Six years. Six years of torture, of trials, of fucking betrayals. And all so he could return home to a ruined house and a missing son. The paper crumpled in his hold, forcing him to snap back to reality. It had been a short letter, written in the messy and hurried handwriting of a child. Wilbur traced what his son had scribbled out, ‘I’ll always I love Love you.’ His poor little baby.
Did Fundy think papa had abandoned him? He pressed the letter against his chest, remembering the day he’d left his son alone. It had been the first time he’d left his son alone in the house. It was supposed to be a quick trip to the village. Wilbur hadn’t known that the gods would whisk him away to a world where he would continually fight for his life, his son’s memory the only reason that he kept fighting for his survival. Now, his son was gone, whisked away by a god.
Wilbur didn’t know which god had taken his son. But he knew one person who would know.
He placed the letter inside the pocket of his pants, hesitating for a moment before letting go. Wilbur wouldn’t need to keep holding onto a piece of paper forever. He’ll find his son. He headed out of the cabin, pausing at the doorway while a memory flashed in his mind. The day he left, he crouched down so that he could be level with his son. Fundy had pouted at him, scared that his papa wouldn’t come back. Wilbur had chuckled, patting his son’s head before ruffling his hair. He had promised to be back, promised that he’d make Fundy’s favorite pancakes for dinner. Fundy had been so excited, tail wagging behind him while he told Wilbur to come home quickly. His hands shook, but Wilbur forced himself to move out of the rotting house. He had to leave.
He picked up the bags, glancing down at the toys that he’d brought with him. He had missed so many birthdays and so many Christmases. Wilbur picked a fox plushie among the pile of toys, pressing it close to his chest. Fundy would have been so happy to get so many toys. Tears began to fall down his cheeks. Fundy would get the toys, he’d make sure of it. He’ll get his son back. He’ll get his little champion back. Wilbur didn’t glance back at the house, it didn’t matter to him.
Wilbur could only hope that Phil would be able to help him.
---
General Wilbur Soot was content to stay like this forever…
A soft smile graced his lips, a hand reaching up to ruffle Fundy’s hair.
It didn’t matter to him that Fundy was pretending to not know him. All that mattered was that he’d found his little champion again. This was his second visit of the week, and though his son was jittery about his presence, Fundy had quickly warmed up at the promise of pancakes. Now here they were, in the kitchen that Fundy’s den had. Wilbur would have preferred that Fundy stay near him, that his son be safe and happy within L’Manburg. If Wilbur had to be honest, he had been hurt when his son immediately declined his offer. Then he realized why Fundy had done so.
His little champion had always been so smart. Wilbur leaned back against his seat, glancing over at the bag of toys that he’d left on the couch. Fundy had been confused by the gifts, but he hadn’t complained when Wilbur insisted that they were for him. His poor son. He hadn’t gotten a proper gift in so many years. Well, it didn’t matter now. His papa was finally back, and Wilbur would always make sure that Fundy was content and happy. He’d have to bring Fundy more food soon.
…but first, he had a war to win.
---
President Wilbur Soot knew he couldn’t let his emotions take control of him…
He watched his son run off, the fox hybrid scampering away before Wilbur could ask - demand - why Fundy didn’t want to stay in L’Manburg. Dread and betrayal stung his chest, but he quickly pushed them away. He supported and understood why Fundy didn’t want to stay with his papa.
His little champion thought his papa had abandoned him.
Wilbur sighed, turning his attention towards the blackstone walls that were built for his son.
…for he had a nation to run. But that didn’t mean that his emotions weren’t ripping at the seams.
---
The exiled ex-president Wilbur Soot had no more dreams for the future…
He laid in his father’s arms, the piercing pain in his chest turning numb while blood ran down his mouth. He could feel his father’s hand on him, pushing against the bleeding while he muttered a repeated prayer of ‘no’s.’ He shouldn’t laugh. He knew that. But he couldn’t help the weak giggling that slipped past his lips. He knew what it felt like to lose a son, why was he giving his own father the pain he felt? He shook his head, because he was a selfish bastard, that’s why.
Phil was muttering his name, begging him not to close his eyes. Wilbur closed his eyes. In his last moments, he wanted the world to melt away. He wanted it all to fade away. Wilbur basked in the darkness of near death. There was no L’Manburg. There was no Manburg. There was no Dream. There was no Schlatt. He floated in a black abyss, alone and silent. He felt his hold on the waking world begin to slip, and in the darkness, he could hear his father beg him to open his eyes. Wilbur chose death. It was time for him to leave this cruel mortal realm, for good this time.
His little cha— Fundy would be happier once Wilbur was dead.
… he’d already lost everything in the past anyway.
---
Ghostbur draped a warm blanket around his sleeping son.
They’d had a tiresome day. His little champion needed all the rest that he could get.
Ghostbur… well, he didn’t need any sleep!
He was more content to sit by his son’s side.
He’d make sure Fundy was safe and happy. Ghostbur will chase away all the nightmares.
---
The newly revived Wilbur Soot was very happy to be with his little champion again.
Sure, he wasn’t all too pleased to leave Fundy on his lonesome by the time they reached the prison, but it had been a quick prison break. Never underestimate a father who was in a hurry.
The warden never stood a chance.
Wilbur hummed along while Dream followed after him, his reluctant ally flinching the moment sunlight touched his pale and scarred skin. He didn’t quite wait for Dream, itching to get back to his son. Fundy could be so… He could be so… adventurous. By the time he and Dream returned to where Fundy was, his son was sitting underneath an oak tree, knees pressed to his chest while he stared off into the distance. Wilbur chuckled, the noise snapping Fundy awake from whatever reverie he had been in. He reached down a hand to pull his son to a stand, the fox hybrid pausing before reluctantly reaching out. His son stood up, then shrieked when he finally saw Dream.
“Now, Fundy, it’s rude to scream at others. Be nice, little champion.” Honestly, Wilbur was in limbo for only thirteen years (one year, apparently, in the mortal realm) and already his son had lost any form of manners. Then again, Ghostbur wasn’t much of a father. He had to control himself from thinking about the ghost of his old self, the same man who chose to leave his eight-year-old son alone. The same man who had taken so long to escape from the god’s grasps. He had been a weak man back then, but now he was strong enough to care for his son. He was just… eight years late. He glanced over at his son, the fox hybrid having hidden behind Wilbur’s back. Oh, well, his little champion had always been a bit too shy. Wilbur grinned, gesturing between Dream and Fundy. “Dream, this is my son Fundy. Fundy, this is Dream. He’s a friend.”
“I know who he is!” Fundy snapped. Wilbur frowned, his son was never this… snappy.
“Dream, if you excuse us for one moment. I have to speak with my son, you would understa— No, wait you wouldn’t. Sorry, forgot you were terrible with children.” The masked (well, he wasn’t wearing a mask now, and Wilbur refrained from laughing at the poor man’s plight) man didn’t say anything. He never even looked at Fundy. Good. Wilbur didn’t want Dream near his son anyway, even if they were allies. He led Fundy further away, a hand resting on his back. Fundy’s eyes were skittish, looking here and there almost like he was preparing to run. Wilbur held onto his son’s arm, pausing once they were far enough away from Dream, “Little champion, what’s wrong? Are you upset? I know it’s a lot, but I assure you, Fundy, Dream is a good ally—”
“Friends?” Fundy shook his head, disbelief in his eyes. “S-since when?”
“Dream brought me back to life, little champion.” Wilbur ruffled his son’s hair, the fox hybrid flinching before backing off. He tried not to take offense to that. “He’s the reason I’m here now.”
“... Where’s Ghostbur?”
“Does it matter? I’m here. Who cares about the ghost of a man long since dead?” He grasped his son’s shoulders, ignoring the frightened look in his eyes. Ghostbur had been a pitiful replacement of who he had been, but he had to thank the ghost. Ghostbur had spent a lot of time with Fundy, and had realized that Fundy… didn’t even know who Wilbur actually was. “I’m here now, son.”
“Stop calling me that.” Fundy muttered underneath his breath, eyes cast low to the ground. The sadness in his son’s look pulled at Wilbur’s heartstrings. “I’m not your son. You’re confused—”
“It’s alright, Fundy. We’ll get your memories back, papa promises you that.”
He pressed a kiss to his son’s forehead. Fundy winced, but didn’t make a move to run away. If anything, a bright shine seemed to appear in his eyes at the promise. Wilbur grinned, of course Fundy would want to remember. His little champion would want to remember… But then… Wilbur frowned. Did he really want Fundy to remember the pain of his lonely childhood?
He held his son’s hand in his - still so small. They’d cross that bridge when they got to it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wilbur @ Dream: No, wait you wouldn’t. Sorry, forgot you were terrible with children.

part one
You took of your shoes, haphazardly kicking them into the shoe rack, pulling off your baby pink sweater as you padded to your room, humming with a gigantic grin on your face.
It wasn't five minutes since you arrived home when a knock sounded on your door. You threw your sweater on the bed, heading to the door.
"Yeah, I'm coming." You called, and the incessant knocking ceased. Probably Minji or Jamie that wants to borrow a book or some paper to print a project. You opened the door, frowning slight when you saw who was on the other side, "Hoseok? Is everything okay?"
"I'm not feeling very gentlemanly right now." He declared before stepping closer, grabbing you by the neck and kissing you until you were breathless, your socked covered toes curling.
"Good night." He said when he pulled away, then added on, "For real this time."
You laughed a little, feeling so ridiculously happy. You wondered if you could combust from it.
"Text me when you get home." You blurted, still catching your breath.
"Promise." He nodded, licking his lips. You leaned forward to peck them one last time. For now.
You laughed again, practically vibrating with giddiness as you closed the door for a second and final time.
***
You liked to think that maybe you would have a boyfriend, in the not so distant future, after that. It's not like you go around kissing any guy you go out on a date with. And yeah, there's been some horrible dates you went on that never went anywhere, but that's a story for another day.
Right now you were more interested in listening to what Hoseok had to say. The two of you were sitting in the Quad, eating lunch together. You warned your friends to pretty please stay away for now because this thing between you and Hoseok was still new and fragile. And maybe you want him to yourself for a little longer but that was none of their business.
"So, the Dance Department is holding its yearly talent show." Hoseok said after swallowing a bit of his chicken and mayo sandwich.
"I heard," You nodded, taking a sip of orange juice. "The whole campus is talking about it."
"I entered and I was wondering if you'd come?" He asked, looking at you nervously. "For me. For, you know, moral support."
"Absolutely." You nodded eagerly, belly fluttering. You liked the fact that Hoseok had invited you to the competition, especially knowing how much dance means to him. "Can I bring my friends?"
"Sure," Hoseok grinned excitedly. "The more, the merrier."
In the three months leading up to the competition, you would scarcely see him during the week with how much he practices but you make up for it by spending most of the weekend together.
You get to know much about Hoseok in the three months that pass. Little things, like how he swears when he gets startled, all of his phobias (spiders, snakes and heights you got, but fear of water was a little bit of a strange one for you, because you're in love with water but it's not like you own a swimming pool so it wouldn't be a problem), his likes (cuddling while watching a movie) and dislikes (watching scary movies at night - or just in general), habits (biting his lip when he concentrates) and hobbies (skateboarding).
Finally, the day of the competition arrived. It was pretty much a full day event, according to Hoseok, because there was the entrance round, which took the most time, quarter finals, semi finals and finals.
You were walking to the hall where the competition would be held with your two best friends, Minji and Jamie. Your arms were linked through each other's. "Thank you guys so much for coming."
"Of course. Where else would we be?" Jamie smiled gently at you.
Minji nodded, then said, "And we've been dying to meet the guy who has finally melted your heart."
"Just behave yourselves." You told them, pointing a finger in warning.
"Who, us?" Minji gasped.
"We're angels." Jamie smirked.
You snorted, looking around for Hoseok. He said that you would all meet out front. "Sure. Whatever makes you sleep at night."
"Hey, Y/N!" Hoseok's voice caught your ears and you turn in the direction you heard it. "Over here!"
A grin breaks out on your face when you see him, a few guys standing with him, and it takes all your will power not to run to him. You didn't even look at anyone else as you walked to him, stopping only when you reached Hoseok. "Hey."
You wanted to kiss him but didn't. PDA isn't something you've discussed yet, and you definitely don't want to be pushed away or make Hoseok uncomfortable.
"Wow, you look . . ." Hoseok breathed, eyes widening when he did a full body sweep of you. You wore a dress for the first time since he's met you, paired with some matching wedges and a little bit of make-up. "Beautiful."
"Thank you." You grinned, feeling your cheeks flush. "You look very handsome." And he did - a low cut white shirt that put his collarbones and little bit of his chest on display, tucked into black, ripped skinny jeans and a pair of white Converse sneakers.
A throat cleared from somewhere around you and both of you snapped out of the little bubble that unknowingly formed around you, the pair of you ignoring the world.
"Right, I should probably introduce you." Hoseok cleared his throat, tossing a glare over his shoulder when one of his friends snickered. "Guys, this is Y/N." He looked at his friends, gesturing at you. Then looked at back at you. "Don't worry if you can't remember all their names today. There's six of them. Okay, this is Namjoon, the best friend I told you about. That is Yoongi-hyung and his best friend Seokjin-hyung. Next to them is Taehyungie and his best friend Jiminie and next to the shorty is his boyfriend Jeongguk."
"I'm not short." Jimin huffed, a hand wrapped around Jeongguk's bicep.
"Of course not, hyung," Jeongguk consoled, patting his head. Then he smirked, "Just vertically challenged."
"Yah, you gigantic brat!" Jimin snarled as he used the hand on Jeongguk's bicep to try and hit him in the back of his head. Clearly this has happened before because Jeongguk expertly ducked away and grabbed Jimin's hand, spinning Jimin until his back was pressed against Jeongguk's chest. Jeongguk wrapped his hands around him a struggling Jimin, smiling as he pressed a kiss against his hair.
"Don't worry about them, they're always like that." Taehyung said with a grin when he noticed the way you looked at them, wide eyed.
"Good to know." You laughed. "Well, it's so nice to meet all of you." You stepped next to Minji and Jamie, who were eyeing all of Hoseok's friends with interest. "And these are my two best friends, Minji and Jamie."
Jamie stepped forward, peering at Hoseok, "It's so nice to meet Y/N's new beau. She hasn't had one since high school."
"Would you shut up?" You hissed, cheeks flaming, as you pulled her back to your side.
"Aww, look. She's blushing. I've never seen her blushing. Not even when looking at pictures of Idols' abs." Minji cooed, laughter and snickering following.
"You two are dead to me." You said with a glare as you went to stand next to Hoseok.
"Hobi-hyung was so excited when he told us you were coming." Jeongguk let know when everyone calmed down.
"I'm happy he asked me, even if it is moral support." You smiled happily, smile widening when Hoseok's hand slipped into yours. Now, hand holding was something you two did a lot.
"Hah!" Seokjin scoffed. "Moral support, my ass. Hoseok doesn't need moral support, he's won this competition since his first year." You could feel your eyes widening, jaw dropping open.
"The other's don't stand a chance." Jimin smirked.
"We're not trying to be mean or anything, but our Hobi-hyung is the best." Taehyung grinned.
"Hey, how come you never told me how good you are?" You huffed, nudging Hoseok's elbow with yours.
"I thought if I told you, you wouldn't come." He admitted, a slight pout on his lips.
"Oh my God, you idiot!" You lightly slapped him on the arm with your free hands. "I would have come either way. I've always wanted to see you dance."
"I'll win for you tonight." Hoseok promised, ignoring the wolf whistles and whipping sounds that came from the direction of your friends after his words.
You just smiled fondly at him, "That's sweet, but you don't have too."
"I want too." He said quietly. "I've never danced for someone other than my friends and family before."
"Okay, fine. I'll cheer for you."
(Hoseok does end up winning first place. And you two end up having a heated make out session in his dressing room afterwards.)
***
A few weeks after the competition, your mom asked you to go and pick up your sister. You don't warn Hoseok beforehand, wanting to surprise him. You hoped it wasn't a bad surprise. This would be the first time you picked up your sister again after the first time you met. You smiled to yourself, thinking how so much has happened since then.
You walked into the studio, making a beeline for Hoseok.
"Hello again, Hoseok-ssi." You greeted with a serious voice. He spun upto you, eyes wide, and you aimed a lazy grin at him, eyes full of mirth.
"Hello Y/N-ssi." His voice was professional but there was an amused twinkle in his eyes as he smiled at you. "It's good to see you again."
"You too." Was all you we able to get out before your sister joyously shouted your name and barreled into your legs. You laughed, crouching down to give her a proper hug. "Hey squirt. How was class?"
"It was sooooo good. Hobi-oppa is a really really good teacher and fun too. We learnt lots of things. Like this." Your sister ended her own ramble as she demonstrated a move that she learnt in class today, looking at Hoseok when she finished moving, silently asking if she did it right. She positively beamed when he nodded, giving her a thumbs up.
"That's awesome." You ruffled her hair. "Why don't you go get your bag before mom gets home before us and reports us missing?" Your sister nods vigorously, before running away. You turn to Hoseok, heart swelling with affection as you immediately catch his eye. "How's she doing?"
"Good," He said, eyes twinkling. "And I'm not just saying that because she has a gorgeous sister that I like very much."
"Ohhh, keep going." You sing-songed with a grin, crossing your arms over your chest, enjoying the way his cheeks flushed. "Flattery will get you everywhere."
Hoseok tilts an eyebrow at you, "Isn't it usually the other way around?"
"Yeah, but in this case flattery will get you anywhere." You smirked, enjoying the way his flush deepend from you teasing.
Your little sister appeared by your side, looking between the two of you. Then she announced, "Hobi-oppa, my sister is single, if you're interested."
Hoseok looked away and pressed his lips together to stop himself from laughing.
You barely resisted the urge to yank her by the ears as you hissed to her, "Your sister is not single, stop trying to find her a boyfriend. I'm capable of getting one myself."
She gasped, looking at you with wide eyes. "I'm telling mom."
"Mom knows, tattletale." You deadpanned, much to her disappointment. It's true, she knows about you and Hoseok. You sister doesn't. You all decided to keep quiet around the dance school so the other children and their parents can't accuse Hoseok of playing favourites because he's dating you. You also decided not to tell your sister, because you didn't want her to accidentally let it slip out.
The three of you bid your goodbyes, and you and your sister left. You didn't get very far when your phone buzzed.
Hoseok : Not single, huh?
You laugh, practically seeing the happy grin on his face. You two made your relationship official not long after the dance competition and he loves it when you tell people that you're a taken girl. You type a reply with one hand as the other one held onto your sister's.
You: Nope, there's this really great guy that I'm dating.
Hoseok: Luckily guy.
You: I'd like to think we're both lucky.
Hoseok: Sounds fair.
Hoseok: Btw, your ass looked really good in those jeans.
You: Hehe, thanks.
You: You were were rocking the whole soft boyfriend look, btw
"Are you texting your boyfriend?" Your sister asks as she rises on her tiptoes, obviously trying to see on the screen. You make sure to keep it away from her curious eyes.
You smile down at her, "Yeah."
Hoseok: Soft boyfriend look?
"Do you love him?" She asked and you avoided answering her question to answer Hoseok's text, wondering about it. Do you love him?
You: Big t-shirt, sweatpants and barefoot = soft boyfriend look
You: For me, anyway
You: Idk about other people.
The answer came so easily to you. You smiled down at her as you wait for Hoseok to reply. "I think so, yeah."
Hoseok: Ah, gotcha
Hoseok: We still on for tomorrow???
You grinned, butterflies fluttering wildly. Tomorrow evening was Jeongguk's 18th birthday party and you were invited as Hoseok's girlfriend. Apparently it was the formal one - with Jeongguk's family - and then the next evening would be the informal one - with his school friends and Jimin's friends and their friends. You were a little nervous, because only Jeongguk's closest friends was invited to the formal party and while each one could bring a plus one, not everyone did.
At least, that's what Namjoon told you when you ran into him at a coffee shop a few days ago and told him that you'd see him at Jeongguk's party. So, it was kind of a big deal and you were kind of freaking out but mostly, you were excited.
You: Yep, I'll see you there.;)))
The next day, you decided on your nicest clothes, which was the second and last dress you own and a pair pumps.
"You look so cute, I want to eat you." Hoseok had blurted when you opened your dorm room. You raised a brow at him and smiled when he flushed and started back pedalling. "I, uh, um, what I meant to say was-"
"I think you're cute when you scrunch your nose when you don't like something." You cut him off, deciding to have mercy. "Come on in, we still have an hour until we need to go."
He smiled gratefully and you stepped closer to kiss him.
"About what I said just now Hoseok started when you pulled apart, closing the door behind himself.
"There is nothing to explain." You assured him with a gentle smile, heading to your couch.
"No, I need too. I want to be honest with you." He said firmly, but you could tell he was nervous. His shoulders was tensed and it make you feel unsteady. You didn't like that he was distressed. "It's just- I just, I've been thinking about it."
"What, eating me?" You joked, trying to make him relax a little. You looked at him over your shoulder with a teasing smirk, "Sorry, but I'm not into cannibalism."
"Y/N. I'm being serious." His tone made you sober up, turning to him. Hoseok was looking at you, biting his lip, but there was a determined set to his jaw.
"Oh." You felt yourself getting nervous out of nowhere. "Okay. Thinking about what?" You had a good idea what he was thinking about, just not if it was positively or negatively.
Hoseok cleared his throat, looking like he was searching for words before just bracing himself and saying it. "Having sex with you." So, you were right. You will weren't sure if he wanted to tell you that he wants to or not. "I want too." He added on barely a second later for clarification.
Your heart started racing. You blushed a bright red all over - chest, neck, ears, cheeks. You gaped at Hoseok and he waited silently, looking more and more nervous and unsure as each second passed.
You gathered your thoughts and told him the truth.
"Me too." You admitted softly, shyly. "I didn't want to bring it up or push for more during one of our more heated makeout sessions because I wasn't sure what you thought and while I am thinking about it, I'm just not . . ."
Hoseok breath a sigh of relief, so quiet, you almost didn't heard it it. "Not ready yet?"
"Yeah." You nodded. He took his hands in yours, tangling your fingers together.
"I feel the same. Like, in the heat of the moment I want to find out just how flexible you are, but then when I calm down its like something tells me it's not time yet. And that's okay. There's no need to rush. We'll get there." Hoseok said, squeezing your hands, both in comfort and promise.
"Yeah, we will." You smiled, wrapping your arms around his neck. You kiss him deeply, trying to show him everything you were feeling but couldn't define and put into words yet.
Months later, when both of you are completely ready, it's not just right but it's perfect in that fairytale kind of way you always thought was bullshit but secretly hoped for anyways. Afterwards, when you lay on his chest, looking up at his sleeping face, you breathe those three special words, before falling asleep to the soothing sound of Hoseok's heartbeat.

Trying a new thing where I force you to read the first paragraph by not including it under the cut 😇
--
Virgil slept soundly and woke up unharmed in his bed. The relative cold of the morning air bit into his face, the only part of him that wasn't buried under his duvet. Still laying down, he wriggled into his hoodie and got up to make coffee. He mentally checked himself over while he waited for it to brew, staring blankly at the French press with stinging eyes. Damn, he must not have gotten all his vampire makeup off. Ah, well. His own absentmindedness was not a curse. Maybe he had escaped unscathed. Nothing hurt, save a normal soreness in his legs from standing around watching the Halloween parade, and a quick look in one of the many ornate mirrors decorating his walls revealed nothing abnormal with his face (well, except for the smudgy remnants of last night's eyeliner).
Despite this reassuring examination, he still spent the morning jumping at shadows. He rode his moped extra slowly and took time adjusting the straps of his helmet to make sure it fit perfectly. He examined the hanging sign ("Mystick Earth: ephemera for all ages") outside his workplace to make sure it wouldn't fall and kill him. He even took high steps on his way to the register to make sure he wouldn't trip over anything unseen.
But nothing bad happened.
In fact, nothing much happened at all until just past noon, when the brass bells on the door jangled and Logan stepped in, wafting the smell of warm bread and something sweet in with him.
Virgil didn't even realize he was smiling until his cheeks began to ache. "Hi," he said.
"Hello, Virgil." Logan wasn't looking at him; he was focusing on the paper bag hooked around one wrist and the drink carrier balanced in his other arm. "Forgive me for not asking first, but I wanted to surprise you."
"Here, you can set that on the counter." Virgil already knew what Logan had brought: banh mi, pho, and bubble tea from Sunrise, Virgil's favorite café.
Before he could talk himself out of it, Virgil pressed his hands on the counter and levered himself up to give Logan a kiss. He had always known that Logan was courteous and sweet under that somewhat stiff exterior; this wasn't even the first time he had done something kind for Virgil out of nowhere. But Virgil never could get used to being doted on. "Thank you, Logan."
Logan dropped his gaze, one hand coming up to fidget with his tie. "You're quite welcome."
The bells chimed again. Virgil looked up and caught sight of Roman, who had frozen in place. Catching Virgil's gaze, he straightened as though offended. "Well," he said, "I just came by to make sure Count Virgila survived the night, but it looks as though Casanova here beat me to the punch."
Logan turned. "Roman. I hope you've already eaten, because I only brought enough food for two people."
"I can take a hint," Roman said. Virgil raised his eyebrows at him expectantly, but Roman only raised his own eyebrows back, strode over to the counter, and stole a sip of Virgil's milk tea.
"I thought you said you could take a hint," Virgil said.
"I can," Roman said, "but I'm choosing not to."
Logan sighed through his nose and passed Virgil his sandwich. "I see no need to insist upon politeness if Roman is not going to return the favor."
Roman bumped Logan with his hip. "Really, I just came by to make sure Virgil's okay "
The bells jangled. Virgil looked up again, half-surprised and half-annoyed to see Janus, clad in the extravagant tailcoat he had to wear for work, pretending rather transparently to examine the display of tarot card-themed posters by the door. "Hi, Janus," he said, making no effort to hide his annoyance. Maybe this was the curse, to never get any alone time with Logan.
"Let me guess," said Roman, "you're here to check on Virgil."
"Of course not," Janus said, now pawing through the discount t-shirt display. Ugh, Virgil had just finished re-folding those. "Virgil's a big boy; he knows how to handle himself."
"Oh, yeah?" Virgil raised an eyebrow. "For all the money in the register, tell me what you came to buy and what you plan to use it for."
For the brief moment that Janus hesitated, Virgil allowed himself to hope that he had gotten one over on Janus. In all their years of friendship, he had admitted to being wrong exactly once. Virgil kept the date saved in his phone calendar and made sure to send Janus a card on the anniversary. But a moment's hesitation was all the satisfaction he got this time; Janus faced him properly, adjusted his tie, and said, "I don't know. I'm looking for a gift for Remus."
"Nice save," Virgil said. "We'll see about that."
"Oh, I don't know why you bother trying to hide it." Roman beckoned Janus over to the counter. "Look with your own eyes: he's fine."
"I combined like five different rituals last night," Virgil said. "And I'm doing another one once I get off work." He had already paid for the bottle and the string, knowing he had a hand trowel somewhere in the depths of his spider-infested shed.
Roman quick-drew his phone from his pocket and had himself posed for a selfie with Virgil almost before Virgil could process what was happening. "Smile," he said. "Patton made me promise I'd send him a picture."
Virgil flashed a peace sign. It was better to just go with it. Despite his bravado, Roman got his feelings hurt easily, and it was never fun to try to bounce back from that. "Are we done now?"
"Pardon us for caring about you," Roman said, sticking his nose into the air. It was such a Remus thing to do that Virgil nearly laughed, but he managed to hold himself together.
"Yeah, yeah, my friends love and cherish me, blah, blah, blah."
"Also," Roman read from his phone, "Patton says to tell Janus to come over soon so they can make cutting boards together."
"He was serious about that?" Janus looked helplessly at Virgil. Ah, yes, Patton had made the invitation last night and Janus, leaning back on social niceties, had agreed. "I thought he was just being nice."
"Nope." Virgil leaned forward across the counter and grinned. "Not only is Patton gonna make you make yourself a cutting board, you're going to enjoy it."
"We'll see about that," Janus said. He shook up his sleeve so he could glance at his watch. "Well, I should get back to Bienvenue. Those suits won't sell themselves."
He turned on his heel and made for the door so quickly that Virgil knew he was forgetting something. Ding. "Wait, but weren't you going to buy something for Remus?" he called.
"Sorry," said Janus, one hand already on the door. "Can't hear you, bye." And he was gone.
Roman bounced on his toes. "Alright, alright, I'll leave you two to it, too."
"Thank you kindly," Virgil said, metering the sardonic bite in his tone so that Roman wouldn't get offended.
Roman tipped an imaginary hat first to Virgil, then to Logan, and sauntered out.
"Finally," Virgil sighed. He looked up to find Logan staring at him with evident concern. "What?"
"Are you alright?" Logan asked. "I know you take this kind of thing seriously and I would hate for you to feel like I'm not supporting you just because I don't share your belief."
Virgil couldn't help but smile as an unfamiliar feeling spread from his stomach to his chest. Ah, the warm fuzzies. He couldn't even be mad about the damage to his dark and brooding image. "I'm okay, Lo. I did my stuff."
Logan smiled back: a small, shy thing. "I'm glad."
They were quiet for a moment. Virgil took small bites of his banh mi, careful to keep one eye on the door. It had been an unusually slow day, especially given that it was the day after Halloween. The denizens of Vaillant were superstitious enough that Virgil was rarely idle behind the counter of Mystick Earth. A few groups of people paused by the door, some even going so far as to peer in through the glass storefront windows, but no one came in. Virgil relaxed a little. "How's work? Catch anyone embezzling?"
"Not yet," Logan said, pushing his sleeves further up his elbows. Virgil tried not to stare at the few additional centimeters of skin this action exposed. What was he, a repressed Victorian? "I did notice a discrepancy in the amount we spent on office supplies, but it was only because someone had miswritten a 'seven' as a 'two.'"
"No office drama?" Virgil ribbed him. "Nobody stealing pens or making out in supply closets?"
"Unfortunately, we are a building of professionals." Logan paused, straightened his tie. "The light above my cubicle went out and I had to put in an email to maintenance to get it fixed."
"Man, I could never work in an office," Virgil said.
"Did anything interesting happen to you this morning?"
"Eh, I had someone looking to curse an ex, and I had to explain why that's not acceptable. I won't bore you with the details." Virgil took another bite of his sandwich and bounced the toe of his shoe against the floor. Was he doing this right? It had been so long since his last real relationship, and everyone knew what a disaster that had been. He liked Logan, liked being with Logan, but… Well, maybe he was freaking out over nothing. He just had to remember how to do it right, and then everything would be okay.
"Ordinarily, I would challenge the notion that you could ever bore me," Logan said, "but I do have to leave soon."
"Finish your pho," Virgil said, smiling. "I can tell you later."
They finished eating and Virgil again leaned up to give Logan a kiss, balancing his weight on his hands. His heart wasn't in it, his brain a few seconds ahead. Should he come over the counter and walk Logan to the door? What should he say? ‘I love you’? Should he grab Logan's ass?
"Did you hear me?" Logan asked.
Virgil feet hit the floor, the impact driving tingles up to his knees. "Huh?"
"Just saying goodbye," Logan said.
"See you soon?"
"Let's make plans."
Logan left. Virgil stared at the door for a while, happiness ebbing away into loneliness and doubt. A small, childish part of him wanted to insist that Logan stay. Forget work. They could go to the movies and get ice cream, have a proper date. And Virgil would find some way to communicate just how much he appreciated Logan.
--
Virgil: Thanks for lunch, Lo
Logan: You're welcome
Logan: <3
Virgil hadn't gathered up the guts to respond to Logan's text message yet. It was really pathetic, how a single emoticon heart had him blushing and panicking like a teenager.
He swung one leg over his moped, but kept his weight mostly on the ground. Hating the way his heart pounded, he pulled out his phone.
Logan: <3
Virgil: <3
Before he could freak himself out any further, Virgil got on his moped properly and nearly peeled out of his parking spot. He rode home in silence, shivering a little in the wind chill and dodging potholes.
The sinking sun lit up the thunderheads on the horizon until the whole sky on Virgil's left was blue-gray and luminescent. He stared, admiring the bald cypress and tupelo trees silhouetted against the dying light, until the road turned and faced him toward the darkness. By the time he got home, it was full dark. He parked his moped in the carport and settled in for a lonely evening of curse-breaking.
Virgil wasn't usually lonely. As an introvert with several boisterous extroverts in his friend circle, he usually jumped at the chance for some alone time. But suddenly Logan's absence felt like loss in a way it never had before, and Virgil longed to have him near. Even if he just sat quietly and watched while Virgil put his own spin on constructing a witch bottle.
He went to bed early that night, earlier than usual, unable to stand the emptiness of his old house. Even the creaks and groans, even the ambient sounds of outside, even the ticking of his mantle clock, seemed to fade away into intolerable lonely silence. So Virgil crawled into bed before midnight, clutching his hoodie to his chest.
He didn't sleep well.
Strange visions haunted his dreams, almost primal in their intensity. He was rage, he was fear, he was power. He knew the earth beneath his feet, knew the deep, rich smells of the forest. He knew the moon above. It was bright but waning, pale silver struggling through the clouds that smelled of rain. So unlike Virgil, whose strength was eternal and agonizing and all. He howled.
He woke up all at once, all his senses alight. Even without opening his eyes, it was obvious: He was outside. Not only that, he was naked in the dirt.
He opened his eyes and rolled over, sitting up slowly to examine himself. Clammy soil clung to his exposed skin. He brushed it off with a shaking hand. His nails were stained with it too, all muddy and broken. And he was sore, almost as bad as the time he'd try to go jogging with Logan.
Virgil let the panic wash over him and pulled his legs in close to his chest, wrapped his arms around them. Wrong, wrong, wrong, he had nothing, knew nothing and he was all alone in the woods.
He crested the worst of the attack and clenched his trembling hands into fists, resentful of the adrenaline still ruling him. At least he seemed unharmed; his skin was free of bruises and scratches. He was just dirty. He raised a shaking hand to his left ear, feeling along the back of it for any strange marks. Finding nothing, he checked his right ear. The skin seemed wholly undisturbed, but he would see about that later. Right now, he had more pressing things to worry about than potential alien abduction. For one, there was the matter of his clothes… He got to his feet, covering his groin with his hands despite the solitude. All that surrounded him were the early-morning birdsong and the rustle of the wind in the leaves.
Spinning in a circle, Virgil found a place where branches had been broken and the underbrush had been thoroughly trampled by something much, much bigger than he. With no other leads, he steeled himself and followed the trail. It was difficult going. He had to keep his head down to make sure he didn’t step on anything sharp, and his heartbeat remained sharp and painful and panicked, beating out what-ifs beneath his skin. What if he couldn’t find his way home? What if he got arrested for public nudity? What if he tripped and broke his leg and got stranded? What if something attacked him?
The morning breeze picked up and made him shiver, drawing him out of his panicked thoughts. He just needed to keep walking. He might not even have been that far from home. He lived on the edge of the woods, so it made sense that he was within walking distance of home, right? Well, maybe not, but the belief was all he had. So he believed that he was close to home, believed that he would be fine, and continued to tread the path of destruction through the woods.
He was closer than he’d thought. Soon, the sound of tires over asphalt reached his ears and he picked up the pace. Crossing the road was a nerve-wracking endeavor, not least because the speed limit was 55 mph. He hadn’t seen any of his clothes on the trek. What would people say if they caught him darting naked across the road like some kind of feral mountain man? Traffic was sparse, it was true, but with Virgil’s luck, a pickup full of country boys would plow into him and leave him in the ditch. What a pleasant thought for a Friday morning. Pushing his fear aside, Virgil sprinted across the road as fast as his abused feet and sore muscles would let him. The trail of trampled bushes and broken branches led directly to his house, as he had feared it might, and the destruction didn’t stop there. His front door was open, bugs buzzing around the light over his kitchen sink. Several of his end tables had been knocked over and various trinkets from his many floating shelves littered the floor. His ceramic incense holder lay in pieces by the magazine rack filled with his collection of old tabloids-- the tabloids were okay, thank goodness.
“Hello?” Virgil called. No one answered, and the house was silent. He crept into the bedroom. Ah, there were his clothes. The t-shirt he slept in had split at the seams and his boxers hadn’t fared much better. At least his hoodie was okay. He pulled it on and slipped into a new pair of boxers, exhaustion finally catching up with him. He needed to deal with this, like, really needed to deal with this, but his bed…
He face-planted into it, not even bothering to straighten out or pull his legs onto the mattress. Sleep now, unpack terrifying potential supernatural encounter later.

Diggory Hodgkins ran up to his older brother, Samuel, after school had ended, he was rather excited because Samuel seemed to have been working on a new thing they'd be doing come after school on a Friday.
"Hullo Samuel!" He cried "We ought to do that thing we spoke of doing on this fine day?"
And a fine day indeed it was, not a single cloud in the sky, though the skies never seemed to appear that clear blue hue as depicted in illustrations or paintings, still, it was better than totally grey, atleast the sun was quite visible. Diggory would often get excited whenever the weather was anything other than dreary, though pathetic it may sound to some people, he enjoyed what little sunshine the heavens gave them.
"Hmh!" Samuel hummed with a nod.
"Yes!" Diggory exclaimed with a sense of victory, the two brothers started walking out of the school's campus, with Samuel in the lead "So what is it, might I ask? Excuse me! I know you like keeping secrets until the right moment but could you atleast spare a morsel of detail about it? My mind has been racking at what it could possibly be! But of course, one could never figure out what may be going on in that head of yours, oh goodness no."
"You'll see." Samuel stopped to pick up a wooden plank and some rope that he hid in a bush.
"Oh! Are those what you'll be using for the project?" Diggory guessed rather quickly.
"Yes." Samuel confirmed.
"Oh goody!" Diggory clapped "Perhaps I could guess what it is?"
"No." Sam answered harshly "How was school?" he asked and continued walking.
Diggory seemed a little deflated but understood that he shouldn't pry for answers to something he'll see quite soon, he adjusted his school satchel in a huff "Well." he started before following behind his brother "Quite the same actually, you know how it is. Teachers rambling academic nonsense for hours on end, peers picking on eachother, bland everything else. Seriously, I'm sorry but school is just so boring, yeah? How could anyone manage to sit down and listen and expect us to pay attention when there's nothing that even could be interesting!" He started to complain "What could possibly be so enticing about figuring out the third angle of a triangle? What would possibly motivate me to be invested in figuring out such a trivial conundrum to me personally? The teacher certainly never provides a solid motivation, it all becomes forgettable hogwash that has nothing to do with what I want out of life. Though I may possibly be rude, I'm sure you found that sort of thing fascinating given it may pertain to engineering in some way, right?" He paused for an answer from Samuel but then continued anyway "I guess you always were the academically inclined one, I'm over here 'daydreaming my school days off 'and 'being distracted' and whatever else people might say. It's interesting, really, how unlike eachother we are despite sharing the same blood, so to say." Diggory crossed his arms and started kicking a small pebble as a temporary companion on their journey "Some might even use the word funny. All I know is that we're stuck together until something or other separates us, and I believe that's what brothers ought to do. Shame we have a four year difference between us, wouldn't it be cool if we were twins instead?" He looks up at him eagerly, but then looks down again "Ah, you probably find it ridiculous that such a thing would be important. The prospect is rather poetic in my mind but I don't suppose you would endorse it, sorry. We do appear to live in two separate bubbles that might converge into a venn diagram with little in common... Excuse me, we must've had this conversation before, I must sound like a verbal equivalent of a merry-go-round... Have we had this conversation before?" Diggory paused a little for an answer "Samuel, I am genuinely asking this time."
"Ah. Yes, I think so." Samuel said thoughtfully, sometimes it was hard to tell when Diggory was actually looking for an answer or just pausing before continuing his rants, so it was often that he needed to clarify so Samuel can answer. Samuel stopped at a tree in front of a cliff side view and laid down his wooden plank and rope.
"Oh, all right, I suppose that sounds correct... Goodness these aren't actually conversations, really, I should stop calling them that." Diggory saw that Sam had stopped and looked at the sea "By my tail, that looks gorgeous! Does the ocean always sparkle like that?" He said in awe.
"Only in shining daylight, I believe." Samuel replied, inspecting the branches of the tree.
"Well, that's simply another reason to hate the drowsy weather. I can not wait until we get to travel across the ocean and get to live in country where there's more sun and less imbecilic grey clouds overhead, oh, the dream." Diggory continued staring at the sparkly waters before the pebble he was kicking before had landed on his head, thanks to the aim of his brother no less.
"Think you can climb?" Samuel asked, pointing a thumb at a nice-looking tall branch of his tree.
"Oh yeah! Hold on just a moment!" Diggory dropped his satchel and took off his shoes in a hurry. He ran up and started climbing the tree "It's a real shame you can't do this sort of thing, brother."
Samuel leaned against the tree and made a disinterested hum of confirmation, he didn't actually care much for it. He lifted his ears up as he waited, ready for another rambling.
Diggory continued climbing "Like in all seriousness, climbing trees is rather fun. You get to the tippy top on a tree and you get to see the world from a whole new perspective! Everything is alot smaller and perhaps at the right view you could pretend everyone is a tiny little creature that you can squash between your index and your thumb," he reached the last branch of the tree- the one he needed to get to, of course "Like this!" Diggory closes one eye and pretends to squish his brother's head between his fingers "But I suppose someone of your size already gets that sense, big blue."
"Yep. Which is part of what drives everyone away, I suppose." Samuel looks up at his brother and throws the rope up to him.
Diggory catches the rope in his paws "Well it's not just that, atleast from what I hear of you from others." He looks down at the rope "What am I to do with this, exactly?"
"Tie it to the branch." Samuel says as he takes out a knife from his own school satchel.
"Hm." Diggory ties a knot and started pondering what this latest contraption could possibly be again. "Is this another one of your 'practical joke' inventions for your enemies?" Samuel always liked building pranks for anyone he happened to dislike, it used to be a big habit years ago but later the amount of them dwindled as he matured, but even at his current age it's still not out of the realm of possibility.
"Nnnnnope." Samuel said, he put up the wood plank against it at a certain height and chopped off the rope with his knife accordingly, then threw the cut off rope up at his brother again "Tie that one about..." He uses the plank as a reference and placed his hand at a certain spot "Here."
"Well if it isn't a practical joke then what else could it possibly be?" Diggory adjusted the position of his rope to his brother's hand placement and tied a knot on the branch.
"Be patient, will you?" Samuel cut off the excess rope, he put the knife back in his satchel and took out a hand drill to use it on the ends of the plank.
"You know carrying those sorts of things on you is part of the reason why everyone thinks you're weird, right?" Diggory said.
"Mphm." Samuel replied as he's finished drilling the holes of the plank "By the by, you can come down now." he put one of the ropes through one of the holes and tied a knot under it, he did the same for the other one. After he was done he put his hands on his hips rather proudly.
Diggory climbed down enthusiastically to see what his brother had just created "A... Swing?" his enthusiasm seemed to turn into a rather puzzled expression toward his brother "Sam, I love you dearly, but I have to admit you have created far more impressive things than this. Unless this isn't all of it?"
"Eh. That's just about it." Samuel answered with a shrug.
"Really? But- why?" Diggory was absolutely bewildered by this.
"It's for you. You like looking at the sea, thought you'd like something a little more convenient." Samuel was still relatively proud of this small achievement.
"Ah, for me?" Diggory lightened up a little and went to sit on the newly built swing "Hm! I guess it is rather convenient for me!" He started swinging on it lightly "Such a nice view today, too. Suppose I should thank you, then!"
"No need." Samuel sat on the grass next to him and took off his own shoes "Rather exhausting. School. Possibly other things aswell. Nice to take a step back and make something like this with you." He slouches over and rested on his knee to view the ocean.
"Heh. Yeah..."
The two brothers sat with eachother until the sun came down, it was rather peaceful that day, the greyish blue skies just seemed to look like regular blue.

I'm going to answer it this way, because I'm actually not a fan of some of those, and I've heard this is the way to do it if you don't want it ending up in the tag or the search I think? If i censor any of the ship names it's not out of malice! I simply don't want any of this to end up in front of eyes that just want to enjoy their ships 💖💖💖 if there is anyone who doesn't want to see opinions against t*d*d*ku, k*r*b*ku, or even iz**ch*ka, please don't read any further! Oh my goodness i hope this is all legible...
Anyways, hello!! Thank you so much for the ask!! I love talking about my opinion avkvmsocnaocjsoxks it also makes me really happy you like my blog 🥺🥺🥺 (I hope this answer doesn't ruin that avskvneognsocjs)
I'll start out by confirming that I'm not a multishipper. It makes me excited to see how the act of shipping itself can make others happy, but it's just not that way for me. I actually never read fanfic until I got into bnha (bkdk is just that powerful 😁😁) I'm actually...a little serious when i ship, or when i enjoy media, i analyze pretty heavily, so also, if that doesn't sound like anyone's cup of tea, i would once again recommend to stop reading and enjoy your day please!
I love analyzing characters and storylines and dynamics, but i will admit, I'm not a fan of most of the ships - not romantically. I think all the characters have interesting relationships to each other, all of the kids are great friends, and I love bonds and friendships so much 🥺🥺🥺
Those first two are perhaps the biggest, at least they definitely were the biggest when I first entered. Once i caught up, I didn't really understand the enthusiasm, but people have fun shipping, so that's nice! I think of those two as easy ships, if that makes sense? They're pretty simple, and easy to digest.
I personally am not a fan of romantic t*d*d*ku for a very specific reason; it feels weird to me for Todo to immediately fall in love with the first person who's ever shown him kindness (since his mother of course). Todo had never had any friends, nor any want for friends, obviously because of the abuse he faced as a child. Mido was his first exploration at a life outside of his father, a life he got to make for himself, it just doesn't feel right to me that he should immediately think "oh, is this romantic love? Is this the one and only for me?" Well, perhaps a teenager might think that way, but i don't think that's actually how he feels deep down, and I'm sure that's something a lot of us have to learn as we grow (I've definitely struggled with my own understanding of romance for the past 8 years). I think he still is trying to learn how to socialize and to make friends and to be a friend (and he's doing SUCH a good job!) But to immediately plunge into romance, which can be complicated, i don't think that would be right for him. I hope that makes sense! I know they're a very cute ship, which makes for fun! But again, I can be a little serious when i ship...
K*r*b*ku kind of falls into similar territory for me? Baku definitely had friends growing up, but he's seemed to always have trouble understanding his feelings and where he stands with others, causing trust issues. Kiri is really the first person he knew where he stood with, a person for him to be comfortable with and feel on equal ground, which i think is such a huge and positive role in his life, and i don't necessarily think that it needs to be romantic - for both of these, i think these relationships are incredibly important, to everyone involved, and making them romantic doesn't make them any more important!! In fact, i feel like them as friends actually can offer a more complex, interesting, and human dynamic between these characters, as sometimes people simply default to romance and then end up pushing for the same old tropes and ignore all the intricacies Horikoshi includes in his writing.
Again, I love Mido's friendship with Todo, and I love Baku's friendship with Kiri. I think these relationships are incredibly important, and friends are incredibly important. People who ship them are having fun, which is so lovely, and i hope they continue to have fun! I hope you personally find more fics about them that make you smile and brighten your day 💖💖💖
Iz**ch*ka is a little difficult, because they certainly are cute, separately and together. I thought they were cutest before Ura was told about her potential crush on Mido, when she was simply a source of bubbly energy and positivity that helped Mido open up and feel comfortable around other people. I feel though that, romantically, it's extraordinarily one-sided, and at this point, i have to wonder if they really are "end goal." End goal for shounen, of course, is hardly ever explicit ahzovndlfjsoxo but i feel like a better storyline for Horikoshi to take would be for Ura to realize that she's been confused, and these feelings haven't really been a positive experience for her. I've definitely gone through things like that as a teenager. Now, the ship can be very cute! They're basically the same person, and they're cute and bubbly! But again, it simply isn't for me.
I think Momjirou is very cute!! Of course, as a lesbian, i sense strong lesbian vibes from Momo, and strong bi vibes from Jirou, and I also saw the ship potential ever since the USJ attack - which i think, so did everyone else ahaovndofjsojfsk they're best friends without a doubt, though i have to say, i really like Kamijirou. She just makes him so soft, and he's so in awe of her, and she thinks he's so funny, I love how supportive he is of her, especially since she can be really insecure 🥺🥺🥺
I also think Ura and Tsu are very cute but another easy ship, and i kind of really like Ochamina 🥺 they're both pink and space themed, they're bubbly and energetic and kick ass, and i think they'd be super cute...
I saved todobaku for last, because, you know what they say, best for last! 😇😇😇
I've said it before, but if there was no Mido (impossible obviously, and i would never want that) then todobaku is where my heart would lie. Baku has never really been shown chasing after anyone except for Mido...and Todo, which really gets at my heart. There's a grudging respect there - very, very grudging ahakckdkfjskdk which i find very appealing! Todo is very important to Baku and he has also been able to show Baku some things about himself that he needed to question and reevaluate. Meanwhile, Todo puts up with exactly 0% of Baku's shit, which i find absolutely hilarious. It's funny to me how Baku wishes to intimidate Todo as he does everyone else, and Todo simply does not care. And Baku wants to be mad, and ends up mad that he can't be mad since Todo is a strong and worthy opponent. They just have such an interesting chemistry, there's so much friction, so much tension, and I enjoy it, particularly since they clearly should be friends, would be great friends, want to be friends, but Baku simply won't get over it 😂😂 I do prefer them as friends, but friends that are incredibly close, two people that understand each other on almost a telepathic level, two people that give each other shit while also refusing to take the other's shit.
I do agree that many people in this fandom seem to think their ship stands on some moral high ground? It could be a disconnect from the previous generations of fandom, or it could also be the growing mentality on this site that everything needs to be a battle of moral superiority, and also that what you like is part of your personality, and if someone doesn't like what you like, then they don't like you or that they think you're factually incorrect. I personally have stopped going into the bn/ha tag simply because I don't enjoy, well, many things i find there, and I'm happy with those that i follow. I've definitely seen hatred and invalidation for both LGBT ships and m|w ships, neither of which I'm comfortable with. I definitely don't go off tumblr for fandom stuff because there's practically no acceptance for any same gender ships, or any queer headcanoning, which, I'll be honest, makes me scared, as i am a very anxious person avdkvndkfje i do think it should be noted that we should be as accepting of cishet ships as we are of queer ships - no debate on this one - but again, you are right when you say that many cishet headcanons have been used to invalidate LGBT voices, and any and all allies must always be aware of this! It is much more often that queer voices are silenced, that queer ships are ridiculed, that queer shippers aren't allowed to enjoy or see themselves. And to anybody that doesn't want to be an ally... Whelp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what are you doing here ajxkvmdogjdicjsicjsodj I'm gay
I haven't really read much of anything recently, let alone other ships, platonic or otherwise, because energy has been low for me for a long time. I wish i could participate more and support all my friends and other fans, but it's been a bit of a struggle 😣😣😣 I'm so sorry! Something that I can do is make posts and analyses and metas, as those are quick and make me excited, so I'm always happy to respond to asks like these! (I say as i take two hours to write this response...)
I hope people have been taking care of themselves and remember that tumblr is really good at letting you cater to your own interests! I hope if you've made it to the end of this response that you enjoyed it, and you're not mad at me ahsovjekgjsocjwodkso if you are, that's fine, I'm sorry, I probably am really bad at social/internet etiquette and such that help you filter 😣😣
To any who are curious, you cannot change my mind ahdogmdocjdidk thank you to whoever sent this ask!!! A lot of this is a bunch of rambling I've always wanted to talk about but was frankly too scared to post! I hope I made sense and answered everything you were asking!! Please have a good day/night/life!!! 💖💖💖💖💖

Fallen Angel: Tied to the Devil's Daughter - Haechan / Lee Donghyuk fic (demon au) ♛ CH3 ♛
Tumblr media
Haechan made himself comfortable in the seat where Renjun had just been, checking to see that was okay with everyone, earning a small nod from Mark.
"I didn't know you were friends with Renjun, Haechan?" Mark asked, looking at the boy curriously with sudden interest.
"Yeh I've not him for a few years now we used to go to the same dance academy outside of school!" Haechan answered, looking a bit awkward, not used to the attention.
"Wait how on earth do you two know each other?" Phina motioned to the two boys, sending her brother a confused look.
"Oh, well um... I volunteer at where he stays." Mark said lowly, hesitantly looking at Haechan's reaction, confusing Phina even more.
"I thought you volunteered at an orphanage?" Cheonsa piped up from the side of the Haechan, also interested in the conversation.
"Um... yeah...." Mark scratched the back of his head, clearly not wanting to carry on the conversation further. Luckily, to Haechan's relief, Renjun was back with the drinks.
"Dude you're kinda in my seat," Renjun motioned his head subtly towards Cheonsa, Haechan quickly got the hint.
"Oh is this the Cheonie you were talking about!" He got up excitedly letting a now red faced Renjun back in the booth.
Now not knowing where to sit, he awkwardly stood at the end of the booth. Phina couldn't help but laugh, finding the situation very amusing, seeing him distressed.
"Dude you can have my seat, I need to get going anyway, thanks for the invite Phinie it's really helped my stress." Mark turned to wards his sister giving her a soft smile before sliding out the booth and heading out.
"See you Mark," everyone called in unison and Haechan slid into Marks prior spot.
"So... you're the new kid then?" Cheonsa asked, trying to ease the awkwardness.
"Yes and what? You got a problem with it?" Haechan snapped, annoyed with the awkward atmosphere.
"Oi don't speak to my friend that way!" Seraphina could feel her anger rising and she knew if this was how he was going to act, she'd definitely end up snapping at him.
"Phina it's fine- honestly though, your temper is as bad as Phina's over here, but honestly just relax and calm down" She muttered towards Haechan. At times like this, Seraphina always questioned why Cheonsa was nice to people, she just didn't understand it.
After another hour or Renjun and Cheonsa attempting to flirt with each other, and Seraphina sat awkwardly in silence whilst Haechan start staring at her phone, she decided it was time to go home. After all, she was knackered and needed to cool down after being so angry all day, her parents wouldn't like her staying out too late either.
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm off!" She clapped to the group, standing up to go.
"I'm just reminding you, you still owe me a birthday present." Her friend gave her a pointed look, causing her to sigh.
"I know, I know." Hands up defensively, she walked off towards the door.
She heard the last of their conversation before exiting the door.
"I didn't know it was your birthday tomorrow?", "yeah it's my 18th Renjunie!"
Tumblr media
"Why am I always annoyed at everything, it annoys me," Phina moaned to herself, walking down the dark alley ways towards her house.
She came to a holt when she saw the familiar dog lurking in front of her.
"Wilson! Come here boy!" She shouted towards the fawn Pekingese as it trotted over to her.
"You always appear when I'm angry or annoyed, you must definitely be my guardian Angel Willy Bob." She petted the small dog before carrying on her journey, feeling a little less annoyed, with Wilson close behind her.
Arriving at her house, she heard the shouting before she even got inside the house. Her parents were shouting at Mark once again about his grades. Poor Mark just wanted to go and become an entertainer, but their parents where transfixed on him going to university and it upset Phina having to watch him suffer.
That night, Phina checked up on Mark, seeing him with headphones in and writing down lyrical poems which he always did when he was upset or anxious. Sighing, she closed his door and made her way to her own room. Eventually, she settled off to sleep with a heavy heart, wanting nothing but her brother to be happy.
Tumblr media
"You don't belong here." Her mums voice rang in her ears, repeating the same phrase.
"You're not one of us." This time it was Cheonsa's voice. Her voice sounded like she'd been crying out of fear.
Why was she scared?
Was she scared of me?
An agonising pain in her back cut Seraphina out of her thoughts, her eyes sprung with tears as she let out a blood- curdling scream. Why did her back feel like it was on fire? Was she going to die?
The same pain then went through her teeth, causing the girl to bite down on her hand out of shock, hoping the pressure would make it stop.
The next thing she saw made her stop in her tracks, shocked and scared at what she could see.
All around her lay bodies, numerous bodies, laying in a massive pool of blood. Each body was lifeless and stacked up high, screaming tor life to come and take its place back in their bodies.
Screaming, Phina woke up. Sweat pooled round her body, and she was shaking from fright. The last thing she'd seen was glowing red eyes staring back at her. She couldn't make out if it was a mirror or somebody else. Was that her eyes? It can't have been!
She looked at the clock on her bedside table, the time read 6:30AM, meaning she would have had to be up in another half an hour anyway. Instead of going back to sleep, she got up and readied herself for the day.
Arriving at school, she greeted her best friend with a cake she’d quickly grabbed on the way, earning a big smile from the blonde girl.
“Aw Phina! Isn’t this like the first cake you’ve gotten me? Like ever.” She chuckled, as she got a small punch to her arm from the brunette.
“Can I not buy my best friend a cake for her 18th Birthday?” She questioned, a hint of playfulness in her tone.
“Of course-” Cheonsa was cut off by a stabbing pain in her back. In shock, she leant forward subconsciously until the pain slowly went away. Tears formed in her eyes from the amount of pressure which had been put on her back and she felt like she was being suffocated.
“Cheonsa, CHEONSA! Are you okay? Hello are you okay?”
Seraphina looked around for anybody that could help her, she couldn’t understand what was wrong with her friend.
“I’m fine Phina, it’ll stop in a minute.” Her friend wheezed next to her.
After 5 minutes went by, Cheonsa could finally stand up properly, but this didn’t stop Phina from being worried.
“What was all that about?”
“I’m not sure, I’ve been getting them all morning, the pain comes and goes but it hurts like fuck.”
This cause Seraphina to look at the girl in shock. Cheonsa barely swore, so when she did, that definitely meant the girl was in severe pain.
“I’ll be fine Phi, honestly stop worrying!” She gave Phina an encouraged smile, squeezing her shoulder in comfort.
“Thank you for the cake, but you better head off to your class the bell’s about to ring.”
“Oh shit.” With that, Seraphina was off, giving her friend a hug and a pointed look to let her know the topic wasn’t being dropped, before heading off to her first class.
Tumblr media
“Okay class, now we’re going to learn a new routine today.”
Seraphina jumped from the floor in glee, she loved learning new routines.
“Guessing you’ve finally learnt how to control that temper, Sunshine,” the amused tone of the boy she hated the most rang from behind her. She groaned out loud at the fact that she’d forgot he was now in her dance classes.
“Because my temper is usually reserved for little dickheads like you.” She shot back at him, getting into a space to learn the dance.
“You little shit-”
Haechan was cut off my a clap of the hand from their teacher, narrowing her eyes at two students who wouldn’t stop bickering.
“Now class, I will be putting you into pairs for this routine, and please don’t moan I don’t want any funny business.”
Well that was Phina’s hopes of showing her dance teacher that she was a great performer crushed, because she nearly doubled over in shock when she heard the next announcement.
“Seraphina and Haechan you will be working together.”
They weren’t going to get any of this routine done with him being her partner. Especially if he kept being a fucking annoying brat.

That cute guy from this morning is Mina's boyfriend?!
Your eyes go wide as you recall all the inappropriate thoughts you had during your first encounter. If Mina knew...Oh, god. You couldn't even bring yourself to think about it. You felt so shameful and you hadn't actually done anything. You can't control your mind. How were you to know that this guy was Mina's boyfriend?
"Uh, nice to meet you." You wave at him trying to contain your inner shame and embarrassment, although your only left hanging in the wind. The corner of your mouth twitches as you watch Yoongi shrugs, Mina, off as if she hadn't said anything to him, opting to complain lazily without even sparing you a glance.
“I'm tired babe, please.”
Unbelievable.
"Oh," Mina glances towards you nervously, but you're too lost in thought to pay her any mind.
At first glance this morning you'd thought this guy would be more of a timid person, just based off his looks, but now you were seeing an intimidating, cold cloud looming over this guy's head. Not to mention how rude he was being. He completely ignored you just now when Mina introduced you and he was leaning away from her slightly as if she had the plague or something. His eyes stared in the opposite direction of her with an irritated frown resting on his lips that never seemed to alter.
“We can leave now. I'll see you in class on Monday ____?”
Yoongi turns his gaze over to look at you as Mina speaks and your eyes finally meet, although you just happen to be glaring at him rather than just looking, so you're forced to quickly look away out of sheer embarrassment.
"Alright, see you."
“You're that girl from this morning.” Yoongi's sudden words catch both you and Mina by surprise. Mina freezes in place, while you turn your attention back to Yoongi and meet his intimidating gaze again. He's eyeing you curiously, but you hold eye contact despite the now anxious feeling coursing through you.
“Uh, yeah.”
Mina smiles but in a forced way that made it obvious what she was thinking. “Oh? You two already met?”
“Sort of, ” Yoongi scratches the back of his neck and glances down towards Mina, “we bumped into each other by accident this morning after I stopped by.” His eyes flicker back to you, “Sorry about that, again. I was spacing out.” He lowered his head to you apologetically and you're suddenly taken aback by his change in behavior again.
“That's alright.” You nod, “I wasn't paying attention to where I was going either.”
Once he raises his head he stares at you blankly and you shift uncomfortably in your chair. What's this guy's deal all of a sudden?
“...Well, I should be getting home too. And it doesn't seem like Jimin is going to pop back up anytime soon.” You smile politely.
Mina tilts her head, “Isn't he your ride home?”
“Yeah, but I can just walk home. It's not too far.”
“We can give you a ride.”
You stop dead in your tracks as you'd been moving to get up from your seat. You meet Yoongi's intense stare again with surprise and it's rather obvious he hadn't taken his eyes off of you for even a second.
“Oh, ” You force another polite smile, “no, don't mind me. I'll be alright on my own.” You nod reassuringly at the couple. You wouldn't mind a ride with Mina, but this Yoongi guy? That was questionable.
“Are you sure? It wouldn't be a problem. Your place is on Yoongi's way home.” Mina was watching you closely. Almost accusingly watching your reactions and responses to Yoongi.
“I-”
“It's late and dangerous for a girl to walk home alone right now.” Yoongi interrupts you.
A nervous laugh bubbles up from your chest and you wave your hands in front of you. You knew all too well what Mina would think if you accepted his offer, despite what she's saying. “The walk isn't that far.” You take a step back away from them heading in the direction of the door, “I'll be fine. Trust me.” You give Yoongi a small thumbs up and start to turn away from him and Mina.
“You-”
“Goodnight to the lovely couple. I hope to see you around.” You wave at them.
.
You exhale a sigh of relief as the sounds of the city flood in through your open dorm window. The cool night air blows your hair back, strands flailing around freely. Your eyes are shut and your chin rests in your hands.
Lucky you, you'd made it home safely and managed to get here before your roommate. The walk here was quite honestly terrifying, seeing as it was a cloudy night and everything was pitch black except for the occasional street lamp. Anything could just run up at you and you wouldn't know until it was too late. Thank god you were safe now. Nothing could get you here. The sound of the doorknob jiggling startles you into opening your eyes. Maybe you jinxed yourself. You turn to face the door just as it swings open and a drunk brunette stumbles in.
“You're here?! Did you not hear me at the door? Why did you just sit there?!... God,” she shivers dramatically as she stumbles and pushes the door shut behind her, “why the hell do you have the window open?! It's freezing out there!” You cringe and scrunch up your face at her. Having turned off all the lights the girl across from you was unable to see your facial expression.
Out of all the students attending this university, it was just your luck to end up with one of the bitchiest ones. You're afraid she may burst one of your eardrums before this semester is over.
Tumblr media
“Hm, late again I see.”
“Shut up.” You plop down in your seat next to Jimin whilst slamming your bag down on the table.
Jimin jumps a little out of shock, “Woah, you can't seriously be that mad at me for last night?”
Your eyes almost roll to the back of your head, “It's not you I'm mad at. My freaking roommate locked me out of the dorm last night. I didn't get any sleep. Although, I should be mad at you.” You turn to glare at him. He was the reason you had to walk home in the cold dark where murderers and kidnappers could have been lurking around any corner. You could be dead right now and it would be all Jimin's fault.
Jimin frowns, “Damn, you weren't kidding about her.”
“Of course I wasn't kidding Jimin. Why the f-”
“Ok, chill out, don't take it out on me.” He puts his hands out in front of his chest.
You let your head fall into your hands and your face scrunches up. Your eyes burn from your lack of sleep and the strong urge to cry, “You deserve to be yelled at by me, don't kid yourself. I could be dead because of you.”
"Look who's being dramatic now."
You can hear the smirk on his lips and it only causes you more frustration, "You're a jerk."
"Finally, you see it. Maybe you'll dump him now." Mina slides out the chair beside you and sits.
Jimin sighs whilst glaring at Mina then placed a hand on your shoulder, “I'm sorry, okay? I got way too drunk. I won't do it again. How about I make it up to you? You crash at my place and you can have my bed so you can get some well-needed rest. I'll sleep on the couch.”
“Absolutely not.”
He rolls his eyes, “Your so argumentative when you're tired.”
"Honestly, Jimin what makes you think she'd take you up on that offer? Everyone knows you just want to bang her-"
“I swear if you don't-”
"Both of you shut up or I'm going to sit somewhere else."
“Ok, fine, but just accept my offer. You know I don't mind.” Jimin leans back in his seat as the professor walks in and the class falls silent.
"I know you don't mind. That's the problem you perv."
.
Birds chirp and whistle while the breeze in the air shakes the upper tree branches, carrying the smell of freshly cut grass. Your next class is in half an hour and you'd walked back to your dorm earlier in hopes of getting some much-needed sleep just to find out your keys were locked inside along with all your other belongings. So, here you are now laying on a bench in the courtyard watching fluffy clouds drift above you. Jimin offered you go to his place various times, but you continued to refuse. It just didn't feel right and it was only because you didn't want to burden Jimin, despite the insulting reasons you threw at him while in class.
You huff and let your lids flutter shut. A second of shut-eye wouldn't hurt.
Noises slowly fade away and your mind is soon left in silence. You hear nothing, see nothing, and feel nothing. You're asleep.
Lonesome.
Unbelievably lonesome, but so vividly whole.
Your heart surges within you at a well-known fear. No sound occupies this space. You're all alone here. Cast out from civilization and engulfed into a dark and terrifying reality that, for the most part, you refuse to accept outside of this world.
This place is empty. It always is, but this time...a light. Somewhere far off. A thin layer of water covers the surface below your bare feet. The sign of rain having recently passed through and the only thing making it noticeable being the cold feeling between your toes and the soft red light illuminating against ripples from somewhere in the distance. Where is that coming from? There's never light here.
Something cracks.
The sound of glass breaking echoed through the dark red hue of murkiness around you and a screeching alarm is heard almost immediately after, the sound being faint seeing as it is far from where you currently stand.
Something is wrong. Someone else is here.
Your feet move, patting against the wet floor and carrying you in the direction of the disturbance. Nothing here made any sense. Everything was always silent, dark, and the same. Something changing in this lonesome world was unorthodox.
Your ears ring with the sound of notes being played.
A piano.
You stop dead in your tracks.
“Do you normally sleep in public places like this?” Your entire body jolts awake at the feeling of someone flicking your cheek.
“What in the-” Your vision blurs with drowsiness.
“There are creeps everywhere. You're just asking for trouble when you lay around like this.”
“Oh,” You rub the sleep from your eyes, “Yoongi?”
He looks away from you, boredom plain on his features. His hair is less of a mess than the first time you'd seen him on campus and he looked less irritated too.
“Don't you have a class or something?”
"Uh," You fumble to pull your phone out of your pocket and check the time. You still had a few minutes to waste, "in a little bit. I didn't get much sleep last night so I guess I just dozed off. What are you up to?”
“I was just stopping by to see Mina.”
You look up at him in confusion, “You don't go here?”
“No, I graduated last year.”
“Oh, I didn't know you were so much older than Mina.” You gape at him in surprise. Mina is only a sophomore. She's even younger than you. You're a senior.
"I get that a lot."
You watch him as he shifts his weight from one leg to the other, watching as other students rush to their own classes disturbing nearby birds hopping around in search of food. Why would someone his age date someone so young? Who's still in school for that matter? Judging, by the way, he's dressed he makes a good amount of money, so surely he has a full-time job that pays well. How would the two of them even find time for each other?
"What do you do?" You blurt out the question without thinking and yoongi moves his gaze back to you and falls silent for a moment. He seems to be trying to read you like a book.
“I produce music.”
“Music?”
“Yeah.” His eyes shift away from you again.
“Ah, that makes sense.” He must make a lot of money and meet a lot of people. All of that would result in him being very busy all the time...but, Mina said he used to go out of his way to make time for her...so, it can't be work. Something else is going on.
“What's that supposed to mean?”
“Nothing,” You shake your head, “you just look like someone who would be really into music.”
“Hm, ”
“Well, it was cool seeing you again. I should get to class now. It's good to be early so I can get a good seat.” You nod towards him. Why are you even trying to deduce what's going on with him? That's Mina's business. You shouldn't be acting so nosy. Mina wouldn't like it. Hell, Mina wouldn't like the fact that you've run into him again. She's so incredibly possessive when it comes to boyfriends. You were surprised that she didn't try to kill you yesterday. God knows she would've if the two of you were still in middle school. She almost took your ring finger clean off just because her boyfriend at the time was assigned to be your lab partner for a month.
“Yeah, ” He nods as you begin to turn to leave, “Oh, wait.”
You turn to look back at him, “Yeah?”
He stares at you for a good minute, inwardly debating whether to speak up or not, “Umm, never mind. Sorry, see you around.”
“Actually, can I ask you something else?" Yoongi stops and turns. It wouldn't hurt to see if you can get a little information out of him. Just to make sure he's not cheating on Mina. She'll thank you in the long run if it turns out he is in fact cheating.
"Yeah?"
"How well you know Mina?"
Yoongi's poster instantly turns tense at the mention of Mina and he breaks eye contact, "Well, she's my girlfriend. So, I'd say I know her well enough."
"Hm," This doesn't seem to be going well.
His eyes shift back to yours sharply as if he'd read your mind, "What's your point?"
"My point is can you even tell she's unhappy?" You snap back quickly, not appreciating his tone.
His eyebrows shoot up in surprise, "I-"
"Because, if you can't, you don't know well enough."
"I know how she feels."
"Then fix it."
"I can't."
You narrow your eyes at him, "Why?"
The corner of his mouth twitches up into a grin and he laughs softly. You raise a questioning eyebrow and his smile still doesn't falter, "Mind your own business ____."
Tumblr media
You blink up at slanted eyes and slim features with pursed lips.
Why is it always dark here? You can never fully see who surrounds you, only guess blindly. And what is so fearful in darkness anyways? Isn't seeing just as petrifying as not? You'd never understood the difference and yet here you stood submerged in darkness...and terrified of it.
What has brought on this fear?
Or maybe it wasn't the darkness you fear, but the feeling of impending doom that seeped into your skin and clawed at your insides.
“Go. Watch after your sister. Don't let her get hurt.” You nodded quickly despite the women in the driver's seat refusal to meet your eyes. You pull the small girl beside you out of the car.
It's time to go.
You could recall her hands being so small that they could easily slip from yours and back down to her side. And the tall evergreens behind the house always called her once she was free. She'd even told you once that the greenery whisper in her ear with the wind. So, you'd always have a good idea of where to look her if she vanished.
But there was no looking for her on that day because she hadn't just vanished. She had become something more than what she had been. One with that very same greenery, the voice that whispered in the wind.
And why is it…all of a sudden that man is here?  And why him? Whoever he is, why do you hear his voice in the wind like you used to hers?
And again.
Glass shattering.
An alarm.
...the same melody playing softly on a piano.
“_____.”
Hm?
“Hey, wake up.”
Wait.
That voice. I know-
You jolt awake, a layer of sweat making your hair stick to your face in an unruly manner. The darkness around you is softly lit by an overcast stream of light shining in through a small crack in your curtains. Particles in the air can be seen floating in the stream of light and as you huff, they scatter around wildly.
Another nightmare, and, as always, you don't remember anything but the strange feeling it gave you, or... someone's presence. Who was it...
You bunch your blanket up in your arms, then gently push it aside before moving to dangle your legs off the side of your bed. The sudden lack of warmth causes goosebumps to rise on your skin and a shiver to run down your spine. It must be pretty cold out today. You stand up and grab your phone from your nightstand. Assuming the temperature dropped overnight you groan in anticipation of the frigid walk to class awaiting you. You rub your eyes and push your messy bed hair from your face then move the heavy brown curtains next to your bed aside. You raise your arms over your head and stretch your body out. You had a tendency of curling up into a ball while sleeping so when you woke you'd feel all twisted up.
"____!” Two bangs at the door startled you into whipping your head around, “Wake up! Please! Open the door!”
What the hell?
Your bare feet pat across your wood tiled floor and you slide on your slippers just before unlocking the door and pulling it open.
“What-”
“Ssh!” The boy quickly puts a hand over your mouth then pushes you back into your dorm room just before slamming the door shut behind him. He is still in his pajamas, his hair in a twisted mess atop his head, his brown eyes in a wide panic. Out of instinct, you raise your hand up and slap his arm. He flinches and jerks his hand away from your mouth.
“Ow, that actually hurt!” He rubs his arm in pain.
“What is all this about Jungkook?”
“I-” A loud bang erupts from the hallway outside your door and you shift your gaze to look past Jungkook.
“Oh, no,” Jungkook let out a quiet groan and runs his hand down his face, “she saw me.”
“Who-”
“Jungkook! Where did you go! Jungkook!” The voice comes from the hall as more banging is heard.
“I can't believe this,” Jungkook whispers shaking his head in what can only be described as pure fear. You frown up at the poor boy. Since you met this guy it always seemed that he was running. Seeing as how he came across as a really confident guy to girls because of the crowd he hung out, he attracted that same type of bold energy. The bad thing is that he is the exact opposite of the word bold when it comes to the opposite sex.
Unless given alcohol apparently.
“Jungkook, move.” You nudge his arm. Jungkook picks his head up to look at you just as the banging starts on your own door.
The boy also, for some reason unbeknownst to you, had a problem of attracting the most psychotic women ever.
“Please!” He whisper-yells, eyes wide and alert while shaking his head, “Don't open the door.”
“Move over.” You nudge him again, speaking calmly. He gulps, staring at you for a moment before quickly running for your closet.
You yank open your door as the girl starts to yell insults at Jungkook. Things such as, “You think just because you're handsome you can be so rude to me?! You're a cold-hearted no good-” Your eyes meet with hers, and you flash her a smile, “Oh, please, continue. I'd love to hear what you have to say about my sweet little brother at 7:00 in the morning, while everyone in the building is trying to sleep. I'd also love for you to continue banging on my door.” Jungkook still hadn't fully made it into your closet. He'd only manage to get one leg in before turning into ice behind you, staring in horror at the scene that was now unfolding.
“O-oh, I was-”
“Just leaving?” You finish the girl's sentence for her as she backs away from your door. She lowers her head to you respectfully, “Y-yes, I'll be going. Sorry for disturbing you.”
“Good, and stay away from my little brother from now on while you're at it, hm? You're going to traumatize him with these desperate attempts.” The girl's eyes nearly pop out of her head at your bold statement, “Have a nice day. Bye.” You give her another smile than shut the door in her face.
“Wha-”
You spin around nonchalantly towards Jungkook, “She would've just kept banging on doors. Also, if I didn't say I'm your sister she probably would've risen hell up from the depths of the earth.” You move Jungkook aside and begin sifting through your clothes, “I mean honestly Jungkook, how do you think this looks? You running to an older girl's dorm room to hide from another girl?”
“Oh…”
You grab a sweater and a pair of blue jeans, “You're gonna have insane rumors flying around about you if you don't be more careful.” When you turn around to face Jungkook he's turned away from you, trying to hide the harsh shade of crimson on his cheeks.
“S-sorry,”
“Hey, what's going on in that head of yours?" You pat him on the shoulder, "Don't be so tense. Go get dressed and let's get breakfast. I'm starving.”
“O-oh, yeah. I'll go do that.” Jungkook pointed at your door as he walked back towards it.
“Watch where you're-” His foot caught on something on the floor and he fell with a thud, “going.” You muttered the last part.
.
The rain coming down was more of a mist. Like small needles freezing your already red nose and nipping at your cheeks.
“Hurry up Jungkook!” You stomp as he slowly makes his way to you. You'd run ahead of him to escape the cold faster, but it did no good, seeing as Jungkook decided to take his sweet time.
“What's the hurry _______?” He watches you shiver as he approaches you with false innocence.
“Oh, don't even start with me.” You narrow your eyes at him. He laughs and soon picks up his pace as the two of you approach his class.
“You got that syrup all over me,”
“Me?? You're the one that was in my way.”
“You didn't need that much syrup.”
“Yes I-”
“_______! There you are!” You turned your head over to see a bright Jimin running over towards you, “You ditched me for this kid?” Jimin’s voice dropped to a deeper octave once he spotted Jungkook.
“Is that an inferiority complex I hear?” Jungkook cupped his ear toward Jimin.
“Hey!-”
“Anyways,” You roll your eyes at the two boys and begin walking, “bye Jungkook. Be sure to stay awake in class.”
“Yeah, don't fall asleep Kookie,” Jimin repeated in a condescending way.
“Jimin, shut up.” At the sound of your voice, Jimin finally started to follow after you, leaving Jungkook in peace.
“Who peed in your Cheerios this morning?”
“Ew, please don't put that image in my head.”
“Hm,” He looked away from you and up at the grey sky, “well, I see your actually up on time. I know I told you to meet me for breakfast, but I figured I'd just hope for the best when it comes to how you are in the mornings. I never thought you'd actually get up just to ditch me for some freshmen.” Jimin droned on dramatically, raising his voice an octave when he felt you weren't listening.
“I keep having strange dreams.” Jimin’s mouth clamped shut as he left his train of thought behind for a newfound interest.
“Oh?”
“I can't remember exactly what it was...but-”
“Isn't that normal for you?” Jimin rose an eyebrow, “Since when do you not have strange dreams?”
“Okay, yeah, but this one was about someone...Some guy. I can't remember his face or what was happening, but his voice-”
“Oh my! _______!” Jimin jumped with surprise as you turned a corner, “You had a sexy dream about someone!?”
“What?” You look at the yellow-haired boy as if he lost his mind, “We're not in high school Jimin.”
“What happened in the dream?” Jimin smirked at you like a 2nd grader and bumped his shoulder with yours suggestively.
“Are you brain dead?” You push Jimin a few inches away, “I said I don't remember what happened in the dream.”
Jimin sighed, losing interest, “That's boring.”
“Wow, sorry I couldn't entertain you.”
“I'm joking.” He laughs, “You have my undivided attention _______. Continue.”
“Right,” You wrap your fingers around the strap of your book bag, “his voice was familiar, and I'm sure I know him. I just can't put my finger on it.”
“Do you remember the feeling the dream gave you? Was the voice soothing? Or did it cause something more like stress?”
“I'd say both, but one more than the other.”
Jimin scoffed, “It must have been about me. There's no way you'd dream about any other man. You love me too much," He waved his finger at you then turned away to sigh dramatically, "and unrequited love can consume a person.”
“What unrequited love? And the only person dreaming about you, is you, idiot.”
“Just admit it _______. How could you not dream of me? It's not like any other guys talk to you. It's gotta be- OW!”
“I talk to tons of guys!”
“Little Kookie doesn't count.” Jimin pats your shoulder and lowers his voice again, “He's not a man.” He holds up his arm and flexes.
“Oh, but you are?” You reach up and pinch Jimin's bicep causing him to let out a high pitch scream.
“Hey! Why would you do that!” Jimin yelled over your laughter, “How would you feel if I pinched you!” He reaches for your arm but you dodge him and run.
“Yah! That's not fair!”
“You snooze you lose Chimchim!”
“Don't call me that!” He whined like a child after you.

Silence [Pt. 2]
Part 1, Part 2
Warnings: Unsympathetic Virgil, deception, manipulation, physical pain, bottled feelings, disguised violent threat, murder mention/joke, cursing, insults, hatred, Phonophobia [Fear of loud noises]
Ships: Loceit??? Who knows??? DLMP, other ships TBD
Prologue: It all got to be too much for Deceit sometimes. He's a flawed side, defective, useless. He isn't supposed to have these fears. He isn't supposed to flinch every time he drops something. He isn't supposed to have a panic attack when the dryer at a fast food restaurant is just a little bit too loud. It only gets worse when Virgil decides to mess with him. He thought Virgil would get better after being with the light sides. He didn't think Virgil would do anything to harm him. He couldn't hate Deceit so much that he'd hurt him, right?
--------------------
When he woke up, he almost thought it was all a dream. Well, he hoped it was. As distinct hushed whispers came into focus, he knew it wasn't. If that wasn't enough, the texture of his bed felt….wrong. He didn't want to move, he didn't want to open his eyes, he didn't want to do anything to give the impression he was awake. It made him sick just thinking about the look on their faces. He'd honestly rather spontaneously combust than have to deal with their hatred. They probably thought it was a joke, some tactic to gain their trust. That would be fine, at least they would leave it as that. Maybe it would be better that way.
Suddenly, a specific comment caught his attention. It was quiet, and he seemed to be the only one who heard it.
"You always screw things up, don't you?"
Deceit's eyes flew open, and he was sitting up in just a few seconds. He regretted it immediately. Not only had he caught the others' attention, but he was now dizzy with how fast he'd gotten up. His mind blurred and his vision gave out. His body started to sway while he held his head, waiting for it all to stop.
A hand settled firmly on his upper arm. He couldn't comprehend it until a few seconds later, but when he did, he noticed that it hurt. It burned, really. As the dizziness subsided, he was able to look up and see Virgil, Logan, Patton, and Roman all standing over him. All he could focus on, though, was Virgil's hand over his arm, barely even touching him.
Deceit had fallen back, landing on his pillow at some point in his dizziness. He hadn't felt it at all, which was weird, but then again he was really dizzy. Normally, he would've cared about the fact that he wasn't in his own room. He would've been appreciative of the attention he was getting, if it weren't for the searing pain of Virgil's hand on his arm. He was so confused. 'How is he doing that? What did I do? What is happening?'
The pain made him bite his tongue, flinching and moving around uncomfortably.
He opened his mouth to speak, and as soon as he did, Virgil pulled his hand from his arm. Deceit gloved hand went to rub his skin where the side had touched him, "Why- how did you do that?"
Virgil mocked confusion, as if he wasn't speaking to the master of deception, "What do you mean, snake face? Are you already trying to mess with us?" He glared, but to Deceit, it meant 'shut up, no one will believe you'.
Deceit just rolled his eyes, not wanting to play these games. All he wanted was to know why he wasn't in his room anymore and how the hell he got here. He looked at the others, scanning each of their faces. Patton's was concerned, ever loving and caring. Roman's expression displayed uncertainty. Logan's was calm, but his eyes. His eyes showed concern. Genuine concern.
One of the things Deceit can do is see true emotion through people's eyes. He was able to see how someone truly felt, if they showed it or not.
Even so, he thought even the others could see Logan's emotions if they tried. They were always so strong, but somehow, the others never saw them. They never saw how truly emotional Logan is. It seemed so obvious to Deceit, but the other seemed to have his emotions so covered up that the others just didn't quite notice it. It was so confusing to Deceit. How did they not see it?! He was upset and almost crying, how did no one notice?
It always baffled him how the others could be so smart, so attached to each other, and yet they couldn't notice things like Logan's body stiffening (hurt, upset, angry) or him going silent (ignored, surprised). Deceit noticed these things, yes, but Logan's eyes broke every little external wall he put up for himself. He could have a cold hard expression, but be incredibly hurt or excited.
He quickly snapped back to life when he heard Patton's voice suddenly, "Deceit, are you….are you okay? Yesterday was rough for you, I imagine." He chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his neck.
Deceit's eyes were still just slightly red from crying, and he could feel the dried tears on his face. He remembered every detail of last night and flinched, "Perfectly fine, Patton. I've been fine, last night was nothing. It was simply a burst of emotion that I obviously couldn't handle. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll take my leave before you all start hating me again. I'd rather not be here for that part." As he stood, he finally took a look at the room he was in. Obviously Patton's, with blue walls decorated with rainbows, kittens, dogs, stars, and every other happy thing you can think of. There was a wall of pictures and memories from Thomas' past. They showcased big accomplishments in their host's life, like when Thomas got an award and when he got the lead role in a school play.
The room was bright and happy, everything in it was something from Thomas' past that held value.
Patton's room and Deceit's were very very different in that aspect, despite having the same layout.
Speaking of Patton, the side frowned when he went to leave, "Wait, ki- Deceit!"
At the mention of his 'name', the deceptive side turned to look at the bubbly dad. It didn't hurt that he didn't call him 'kiddo', it didn't, it didn't, it didn't, he wasn't a kid why would it hurt- "Yes, oh so loveable Morality?"
Patton crossed his arms, "Please tell us why you were so upset. We've never seen you cry before, we're just concerned."
He didn't know what bothered him so much about that little statement, but Deceit just hissed in annoyance, "Concerned? Really? Don't even try with that. I don't do anything that important, now go do your job and stop lying to a liar. Honestly Morality, you could've called me stupid to my face and it would've been less insulting." He could taste the lie on his tongue. It was a nice, rich honey-like substance. If it wasn't for the blatant, hurtful lie he would've appreciated the taste. He craves it, and this would've been a victory if it weren't for the pain that came with it.
"Well, I care king cobra!" Roman said defensively, "I mean, come on! We're not part of a mean person, we can't completely hate you! Have a little faith in us man, we're not that terrible." The prince huffed, looking to the side like an insulted teenager.
"Yeah, we're not going to like….kill you or anything." Virgil 'agreed', and somehow, no one noticed the sarcasm except Deceit.
This just made the snake faced side uncomfortable. The way the other's eyes darkened, how Virgil's smirk looked sinister to only him. It all just made him want to throw up.
"Right, well, I'm going to be in my room. While I'm there, try to keep it down for me." Deceit asked casually before sinking out. He didn't feel comfortable anymore, and he didn't need to deal with this right now. As soon as he made it to his room, he groaned and went to go look for his hat.
Now, any other side/person would've thought Deceit's request probably had nothing to do with the reason he was distressed the previous night. However, that little statement had confirmed everything that Logan had hypothesized already. He knew why he was crying, and he knew exactly what that meant. Was he going to tell the others? No.
Now you might be thinking "why not?"
Because, put simply, the others had had enough of his explanations, lectures, and definitions. He didn't think they would understand or care about what it meant either. They would lose interest, ignore him, dismiss his information as invalid.
He really did care about Deceit. He knows more about Deceit than Deceit even knows he knows about. He knows Deceit knows more about him, too. Does he care? No. He actually quite likes how someone can see past his hard exterior.
Yes, it was hard to be the logical side. It would be harder to do his job, though, if the others hated him. Which was why he felt kind of bad for Deceit in a way. While filming SvS, he had to step in and stop the other. Not because he wanted to be rude- despite how rude it might've came off as to Deceit- but because he knew the others wouldn't listen. He knew the snake side wasn't going to get anywhere, and it was better if it was stopped before the deceptive side felt just as bad as he did when he himself was ignored. It wasn't worth it to keep going, because it would only hurt worse the longer it went on.
He made a mental note to keep the noise level to a minimum.
After a few minutes of silence, he decided enough was enough and that they were wasting time, "We all need to resume our individual work elsewhere. We are not accomplishing anything standing here except for 'effectively' wasting valuable time. If we are done here, we should disperse, as I believe we cannot properly do our part in helping Thomas without moving from this specific spot. I will leave now, and I expect everyone else, excluding Patton, to do the same. This is Patton's room, obviously, so technically he's where he needs to be. Apart from him-" He was cut off by a groan from Roman.
"Alright, alright we get it! We're leaving!" Roman said before sinking out with raised hands.
Virgil just shrugged, leaving silently with a peace sign.
After the last of the two left, Logan sighed and finally sunk out.
Back in Deceit's room, panic was starting to rise as he searched everywhere for his hat. He just couldn't find it, and he didn't have another one. He was hyperventilating as he checked the floor for the twelfth time, sweaty with fear. It had to be there. It HAD to be there. As he searched, he felt more and more vulnerable and defenseless without his hat. He was searching for hours, having destroyed his room in the process. He was crying again by the end of it, on his knees in the middle of the room. His hair was messed up, his makeup even more messed up than before. He wanted his hat so badly, it was childish. It was so so childish but he NEEDED it. It was his hat for god sake. It was one of the only things that gave him comfort, the only thing beside it being his gloves. He felt stupid, but he also felt so….exposed without that damn hat. Burn anything in his room, sure, he didn't care. The only things he ever cared about was his hat and gloves, so be it if everything else is gone. He was so annoyed, upset, anxious. All he wanted was his hat, was that too much to ask?
