why do baby otohan’s colors look like fuckign TOOTHPASTE in this version 😭😭😭

HI IRI i hope you're enjoying the brainworms <3 i had to think about your actual question for a little bit because i got too excited at the idea of married revalink LMAO

tbh revalink being married kind of reminds me of my own parents, who have been married 20+ years, who bicker with each other all the time, but still act like every dinner is their first date because my dad is a sap. so in that sense, i feel like revali and link would still be utterly infatuated with one another, not in the puppy love way, but rather in a more evolved, mature way i guess? like revali will still be extremely fond of link and just how he is as a person, but after being married for 20+ years, he'll look up from his bowl of oatmeal at the breakfast nook to watch link wash the dishes in a tank top and boxers, and feel the urge to get up to hug link from behind. so he does and link will melt into him, continuing to wash the dishes and revali will kiss the back of link's neck, and it's like. this is the most content that revali has ever been in his entire life... until their seven year old comes running into the kitchen screaming being chased by their older sibling and the dog, but you get the point.

the way i'm perceiving it right now, it's like. when they first started dating, you could tell that revalink's dynamic was gonna be "two stubborn shitheads who are so obsessed with each other and fight as flirting", but thirty years later, their dynamic is like "two stubborn shitheads who are still obsessed with each other, but it's like their souls are always falling in step with one another." revali and link know each other like the back of each other's hands, they can predict each other's every movement and thought, and they don't have to say a word to know what the other needs or wants. they both grow really soft and sentimental over each other, and no one expects that from revali particularly. he can still bite tho (especially if you insinuate anything negative about him, link, or their marriage/family) so y'all be on your guard!

i do want to emphasize though, revali doesn't lose his tsundere-ness lol. like i said, he can still bite! he'll always have that streak of pride and arrogance but it's been significantly tempered by link's presence which is why i want to note that he's softer, not soft. but if you can catch the way he looks at link, any doubt you could have held that he loves link will disappear in seconds.

as for link, he's probably a little less feral than he was when they first started dating, but he's still jumping revali's bones at any given opportunity. definitely the type to let everyone know he has a husband and he loves his husband very much. revali's presence in his life has made link significantly brighter and sweeter to everyone around him because revali is his rock and link knows he always has someone to support him up through everything, so he doesn't need to worry.

so to completely answer your question: it's not that their dynamic changes by a lot, it just evolved and got stronger and more powerful. like pokemon. 😃👍

General's Log October 28th 2023

Another battle ensues in the Great War Against Procrastination.

Yesterday we launched a successful offensive against the Gamedev project, despite our lack of manpower given the earlier shopping conquest. Today we would advance further.

Our strategy was simple. An all-out frontal attack to wipe out the remaining forward bases around the city of Gamedev, to start at noon precisely.

Alas, I don't know what it was, but the men got anxious. Our advance was slowed, as the enemy had laid Sleep Mines and Brunch Obstacles in our path. It took us an hour to dismantle and clear a path, and by that time some of the men chased a mirage down to the land of Disney+. I fear we may never hear from them again.

The remaining men trembled at the sight of the now fortified walls of the forward base. I fear I myself lacked the courage to move on and we altered our plans. We would instead intrude upon the less fortified camps in the lands of Household Tasks and Personal Care, and circle back to Gamedev at 1600.

But that time, too, passed, as we underestimated the sheer number of bases spread around these lands. Eventually, after defeating the 15 militia of the land of Workouts, we made our way back to Gamedev.

Just outside the city, I discovered this logbook, and I decided, for posterity's sake, to write down the events of the day. I fear, though, that even this writing is simply a tactic by the enemy to slow us down further.

No longer, I say! While the all-out frontal attack may not be viable anymore, we should be able to still make a dent in the enemy's forces today. I only hope me and my men aren't too weary to try.

And who knows, perhaps having cleared those camps earlier allows us to now better lay our focus back on the main threat.

So long, and to any fellow soldiers in the Eternal War Against Procrastination, know you never stand alone. The fight never ends, but that should not discourage us from achieving victory in battle. Godspeed!

in terms of them just observing/stalking you for Potential Victim Research Purposes™, i think that having those conditions/features would significantly raise your chances of being their next victim

this is pretty much just because of Painter's belief that "abnormalities" (for lack of a better word) make people beautiful and his drive to make his victims even more "beautiful"

expect the way in which you're tortured/killed to reflect your condition (e.g., if you have albinism you might have bleach poured on you to "make you more pale", if you have heterochromia expect something to happen to your eyes, etc)

in terms of how they'd actually interact with you (outside of torture of course), that'd be a bit different i think

they both relate to you on some level (both of them looking a bit Unusual™ themselves), but ironically that only seems to make their treatment of you worse

Painter sees you as some sort of "rare artifact", more of an object than a person (as per usual), reducing you to just your condition and basing all of his interactions with you around it as opposed to who you are as a person

Bruteforce, on the other hand, relates to you a little more directly and seems to see you as a bit more of an equal; likely due to the fact that his own unusual appearance affects his physical health and wellbeing a little more than Painter's does (e.g., he has red splotches on his skin as a result of mild radiation sickness)

despite this, however, he still doesn't see you as completely equal, as he uses the fact that he can relate to you on some level as justification to essentially make fun of you for the way you look
