90/100 heads #everyday are done and I definitely can recommend these challenges for everyone who is interested in there own growth. I think it doesn't matter if you are a fine artist, sculpter, musician, these are all names for specific subgroups and art overall can have a positive effect on everybody. . I have received so many postive DMs these last days while I posted those heads and I also have received a lot a questions about drawing and getting better. . In perspective for somebody who started 4 years ago with drawing, I can just say : . 1. Know where you want be with your craft and have a goal . 2. Try to get as much informations as you can, analyse them and use them effectively . 3. Dont compare yourself with others, it is not fair to yourself . 4. Work hard and enjoy what you are doing it will be thought and it will be rewarding when you hit your milestones . 5. Be positive, believe in yourself and your plan and never ever give up. . . If you try this feel free tag me to your work so I can see the resulst. . . . How to do studies: . . 1. Find a good reference with great composition & light. I tend to look at old master painters. . 2. Lower the saturation until you have no colour information. . 3. Set up a canvas next to the reference. I also like to open the file again in Photoshop and put it on top so you see the image in small the whole time. . 4. Take a moment to observe the essence of the painting, which are the key elememts. Then set the timer on 25-30 min. . 5. Aim for the big shapes. Always go big medium small. Focus on the important informations. . You will see 25 min is not a lot of time. 😁 .
