you guys wanna hear this amnesia story I had for Roy.

TW: Damage Roy

This takes place after season 5 where the Desert team needs some help with some explosives in a cave. They need to disable and remove them but they need some help. They don’t want the explosive to cause any worker from a town a bit far away to get hurt or the ground above to collapse under them

Roy, Poli, and Helly go to the desert to help. Bucky helps Amber at the Broomstown.

Roy and Droney entered the cave (Droney in his transformed more) and they look around to see how many explosives they were. But Droney accidentally steps on a mine and it sets off, damaging Droney’s wing. He can’t fly out or really get out so Roy carries him as the cave starts collapsing

Unfortunately the bridge breaks and with no way to get across, Roy throws Droney across the wide gap and let himself be blown up. Droney hits the ground hard, passing out as he barely see Roy waving to him as the cave explodes behind him.

Roy’s assume to be dead since an explosion should have damage his heart or wires too severely. But Droney managed to see some of Roy’s vitals when he was able to weakly open his eyes, seeing Roy alive and somewhat together. Unfortunately Droney passes out again and the RTs care him for first, still, thinking Roy is dead,

A human, exploring the cave from below from another entrance finds a very damage Roy and his truck and him manage to get him out. He fixes Roy with parts in nearby town but Roy doesn’t remember anything. The Rts try to retrieve Roy after Droney wakes up and tells them he’s still alive but he’s gone

And so that’s the first part of the sstory

The context for this Groovy is given in the latest (JP) update! I’ll explain it under the cut so that anyone who wants to avoid main story spoilers can scroll by safely ^^

So I believe the Groovy shows us Rook not too long after “waking” from his dream. A little earlier, Epel and the others have finished performing Absolutely Beautiful on the VDC stage to remind Rook about the events of book 5. (This explains the background and lighting being that of the stage.) A dream!Neige and dream!Vil have manifested in an attempt to keep Rook in the dream. However, now that Rook has come upon the truth, he begins to cry at the realization that he has “betrayed” Epel’s trust by allowing himself to be enraptured by the dream.

Rook apologizes to Epel and then immediately takes up arms against dream!Neige and Vil. When Vil expresses shock that Rook would dare point an arrow at them, Rook apologizes to him as well. He confesses that even if this is just a dream, he cannot imagine ever harming Vil and Neige—but even so, Rook pushes himself to do it.

The Groovy, then, must ve of the moment when he turns his bow and arrow on the two (fake versions of) people he considers the pinnacle of beauty. You can really see that it’s hurting his heart so badly 😭 Look at how his face is twisting; we’ve never seen this level of emotional distress from Rook, not even in Endless Halloween Night (when he legitimately believed that the real Vil and the many others were kidnapped by an otherworldly entity).

hm... i wish people dont wrangle and correct different interpretations of malleus too much lol

he is kind, he is evil, he is temperamental, he is eeriely calm, he is insufferable, he is a nice companion, he is forceful, he is also understanding, malleus is the mix of kindness and evil because his parents are the embodiments of those opposite sides (Meleanor being the Evil Princess and Levan being the only Kind fae who aspired peace).

There is no purely Evil Malleus or a Kind Malleus. I think Malleus is just growing up lol

Despite the story depicting him as "monstrous," (in my opinion) no character in the story encapsulates the "true experience" of growing up as well as Malleus' story does.

Of course, growing up means being fearful of aging, losing people, and everything changing without your control. It's not inspiring to know that despite your hard work in making yourself "a proper adult (and a royalty too in his case)", there is no reward such as "everlasting happiness" no matter how much he suffers. That he's damned to lose anything and nothing is forever. Growing up means you only have yourself (alone) in this world.

I also like the fact that Malleus' story growing up says one true thing: that everyone really dislikes suffering lol. Malleus canonical fear is the "unknown." I feel like beyond losing Lilia (and Yuu), he just can't imagine a world without them. For him, a world without Lilia is "an unknown world," a reality with no good outcomes. So he avoids that reality happening because its essentially his unknown, (his fear and suffering).

But idk, I never find any story that gives satisfying argument against "the importance of being hurt and losing anyone", I feel like its just sugarcoating if you say its needed for the "happiness to be worth it." That's why I understand why Malleus also believes he's correct for eliminating pain in the world lol I hope TWST gives a new unique answer to convince Malleus that its okay for him to lose anyone and be back in present time.😭🙏🏻✨

@391780 i LOVED this prompt. nothing makes me happier than Ghost and Gaz banter (there's so much of it in the drafts for misery and festivals). hopefully this little blurb satisfies the prompt!

Soap’s earpiece crackles as Gaz opens the comms, distracting him for a second from the twitchy man in front of him. 

“Go ahead, sergeant.” Ghost rumbles.

“You ever realise that Soap stands with his hip cocked?” Soap can hear the shit eating grin in Gaz’s voice. The sleekit wee bastard. 

“Hm. Looks like a teapot.”

“A teapot, sir?”

“Like the nursery rhyme.” 

The comm crackles again as it cuts off Garrick’s stifled chuckle. 

Soap shifts his stance, subtly redistributing his weight to rest evenly and bringing his hands up to loop his thumbs into the shoulder straps of his vest. There, now he can’t be called a fuckin’ teapot. The informant flicks his eyes over Soap warily. 

The comm clicks on again.

“Think he heard us, sergeant?” Ghost asks, amusement lacing his tone.

“Can’t be sure sir, it appears Cap has taken Soap’s place temporarily.” Gaz’s voice wobbles with repressed laughter. 

“Can’t see it myself, Garrick.”

“Why’s that, sir?” 

“Doubt Price would dare show ‘is face if he had a mop like that on his head.” Ghost deadpans. Soap feels his eye twitch as Gaz chokes back another burst of laughter. Cheeky fuckin’ cunts. 

“Looks -” Gaz cuts off the comm before flicking it back on, “looks like he lost a fight with a pair of clippers -” the comm cuts off again and Soap swears he can hear Gaz wheezing somewhere above him. 

Soap moves one of his hands to scratch at the back of his helmet with his middle finger, aware of the way the informant tracks his movements. If those pair of wallopers blow this op, Soap swears to himself that he’ll dye every single one of Ghost’s balaclavas pink and sew a Saltire on the front of Gaz’s cap in place of the Union Jack. 

Abruptly the tone on the comms change. 

“Garrick.” Ghost snaps, the teasing lilt to the banter is gone and in its place is the hard tone Soap’s heard before when things are about to get dicey. 

“I see ‘em.” 

“Keep them in your sights, I don’t like the look of -” whatever Ghost doesn’t like the look of gets cut off as an explosion sends a shockwave of sound and dust over Soap, forcing him to cover his head from flying debris.

Much later when the three of them are getting chewed out by Price for “missing a whole fucking truckload of insurgents because you three were too busy dicking around on the bloody comms” Soap decides that his little sewing project isn’t nearly enough in the way of payback.

it's so funny to me that fanfiction version of titans tower incident (teen titans 2003 #29) is basically what canonically happened during knightquest the crusade (tec #668 and robin #1)

tim is actually 14 years old so it was a fight between an actual kid and adult instead of two teenagers

tim is beaten up in his safe place by an ally who he used to have positive feelings about (i mean it was tim who broke in and sneaked around the batcave so i don't blame jpv for self-defense!)

My mom gave my some great writing advice and I want to share with y'all. (She gives the best advice. I love you Mama!🥰)

Basically it's this. When writing a story, you may be worried about plot holes, quirks, and other imperfections. But the things is, no story is absolutely perfect. All of them have a little something. Something that doesn't quite fit. A plot hole or two. Even Star Trek has plot holes! (Like where the heck Earth is?) But a good story is a good story. What's most important is that, it's fun to read and to write. A little problem here and there won't take away from the experience if it's good. So go easy on yourself! Not everything needs to be explained. Just write. Enjoy yourself. If you can find a way to fix a plot hole, great! If not, that okay too. Maybe you'll figure it out later. Maybe you won't and you'll try something different. Or maybe it's not all that important and it can be left alone. Just don't stress.
