This school mentality is so unhealthy, the way it fucked up those poor kids make me so angry. They are MIDDLE SCHOOLERS, club activities should be fun, not some anxiety inducing nightmare.

The true villain of KnB is the faceless director of Teiko and the system of the school.

The worst part is that they used to have teamwork, they used to be very close friends, their bond was very strong and deep. But this school destroyed them.

And here we have the first instance of unreliable narrator :

"The other five were fine with that" Wrong. Murasakibara was fine with that. Midorima and Kise just accepted it and they ended up believing it in some degrees but they always preferred when the team was a team. Aomine had enough on his plate to care one way or another. Akashi was absolutely NOT okay with this, he tried to stop it and his failure was the final push that caused him to switch with his other personality.

Scream Factory has revealed the specs for its Army of Darkness Collector’s Edition 4K Ultra HD (with Blu-ray), which releases in Steelbook and standard packaging on September 27 via Scream Factory.

Shout Factory is offering various exclusive packages that include a set of five enamel pins designed by Matthew Skiff (limited to 1,000) and posters (including one featuring Devon Whitehead’s new Steelbook art); they’re pictured below.

The 1992 third entry in the Evil Dead franchise is directed by Sam Raimi (Spider-Man) from a script he co-wrote with brother Ivan Raimi (Darkman). Bruce Campbell stars with Embeth Davidtz, Marcus Gilbert, and Ian Abercrombie.

the fucked up KNB ImaHana fic I was working on long before the one I actually posted, which started as a fluffy little throwaway about Kazuya Hara wearing skirts and KiriDai being protective of him and ended up turning into a fic about Imayoshi being an absolute creep and sexually harassing him to get a rise out of Hanamiya

snippet:

And so Chekhov's other shoe dropped. Imayoshi caught up in an instant, caging Hanamiya against the doorframe. Hanamiya barely squirmed. He tipped his chin up in a performance of defiance, but Koujirou knew his captain. If he really wanted out, he was plenty capable. Imayoshi knew that too.

If Hanamiya wasn't acting now, there had to be a reason he <i>wouldn't</i> knock Imayoshi's teeth in.

"You enjoy making a fool of me, Makoto. A lovesick one, sure, but a fool nonetheless." He spoke slowly, softly, leaning impossibly further into Hanamiya's space. "I've been very patient with you all these years. I think we can at least be honest with each other."

"<i>Honestly?</i> You're not lovesick, senpai, you're just sick."

A weary hum, with too much familiarity, too much affection for Koujirou's liking. "Such a pretty mouth saying such nasty things."

Hara shifted behind him. Voyeurs or bodyguards. Victims or bait. Imayoshi's hands traveled down, down, and Hanamiya was letting him. Visibly gritting his teeth, but letting him all the same.

"If you're so <i>envious</i>, I'm not the only one who's sick."

2. dissecting the bird (trying to find the song)

DabiHawks fic!!!! and the only multichapter I'm working on. the title comes from a John Craigie song (which is barely relevant unless you squint So hard) and it started in the same collection of BNHA BFRB fics as some (most) of the others on the list

Hawks has dermatillomania (hence dissecting the bird) and refuses to take his uniform off during sex with Dabi on his infiltration-turned-honeypot mission bc of that, partially due to Commission PR training but particularly bc he's afraid Dabi will think he's taking his non-burnt skin for granted

the first two chapters are Hawks' own perspective, and the third gives more insight into how Dabi feels about it

Frankly, he'd resigned himself to a lovely, bitter, sexless marriage to his own right hand before the asshole had sauntered into his life, wasn't sure his medical miracle of a body could handle much more than that. Hawks seemed dead set on proving him wrong. Not sweet, rarely gentle, seeming to sense the hell that Touya would put him through if he treated him like he was made of glass, but a certain respect, reverence even; an acute awareness of some line he couldn't cross, the stupid fucking limits of his stupid fucking body as it ate itself alive. Damn hero.

Probably something they taught at those boot camps they were calling hero schools, right before handing out baby's first phone book and a license to use it as they deemed fit. He hadn't been able to find records of Hawks attending one, strangely enough, but it was a safe bet all the same. He'd be lying if he said he weren't getting something out of it. Lying if it didn't stir something dim and deep and prone to groveling that he thought he'd stomped out decades ago, being treated like this. Seeing something almost like remorse for watching as Touya crossed that line himself, of his own free will.

Well, if Hawks really wanted to even the playing field, he could think of one way.

3. substitute

100% something angsty lmao, it's a fic exploring Naruto's grief over Sasuke leaving the village for Orochimaru (and his denial that it even qualifies as such) and why he reacted to Sai the way he did — he represents a direct, active, intentional threat to the sanctity of Team Kakashi as he knows it

Sai is my absolute favorite character in the series but I simply never pass up an opportunity to write about agonizing grief

Kakashi-sensei had gone on to talk about how you just can't win after a loss like that — every change hurt, good or bad. So did staying the same. Anything that reminded you of the time you spent with them also reminded you that nothing would ever bring that back. The more you clung to scraps of familiarity, passed up opportunities they'd never get to have, the more you alienated yourself from who you were with them in the first place.

Meanwhile each new development, no matter how petty, how small and stupid and insignificant, carved the knife a little deeper. It showed that the world was forgetting, piece by piece. It put the responsibility on you to remember, if no one else would. To plant your feet and refuse to betray their memory. To keep them alive, in some form, whatever the cost.

Naruto thought that a double-edged sword sounded way too cool to describe what he was feeling.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Mainly Kuroko no Basket and Haikyu!! I was very prolific in Supernatural (and I feel the urge returning tbh), and I keep umming and ahhing about writing in BNHA. In my past I have also written for Glee, Sherlock, and Harry Potter. And that's like, one fic for each fandom xD

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

To Make A Nest A Traditional Family Sammy's Little Boy Not Meant to Be This Omega is Mine Unsurprisingly, they are all SPN fics!

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do! I love responding to comments. Sometimes it takes me years (I have honestly responded to comments that are 6 years old) but to me, it's about community, and I won't to share what I love - which is my fic! It's like I comment on peoples art and stories cos I want them to feel the love, and I love that you can become friends when they respond back! that is how I've made most of my fandom friends, and (especially) in this time of reduced interactions, I want to keep it going.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't do angst. I don't. But it's probably Sammy's Little Boy. That is one of the few true non-cons I have written and it doesn't end with it being good.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

They pretty much all have happy endings. Like.. that's my jam. but I guess Friday Nights (KagaKuro/AoKi) is pretty happy and Handkerchief Hijinks (AkaBoKuroo) Great and Striking Actions which Dazzle the Eyes (Destiel) is like, the funnest sort of crack fic but honestly a lot of what I write is pretty light.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

oh gosh yes! I once got death threats and it was awful. In retrospect they were an anon coward, but wow that was an experience. I think that antis are more vocal but they've been there forever. There's an element of such an idiot who can't not like something without informing everyone.

9. Do you write smut?

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I have never written one, but I have one started at the moment! I have the first chapter and some general plot points. It's a KnB/HQ dystopian d/s verse. I think it's really cool, and I am SO TEMPTED to post the first chapter, but it can take a while to get back to some of my fics...

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I have. A couple of times. It's the height of rudeness tbh. Just write your own stuff.

Yes. A few.

I wrote a few years ago but haven't in a while. I'd like to do it again!

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

I don't have one. I don't! I have characters who I ship with everyone (Kise, Bokuto, Dean) and I love them with everyone! I lean towards polyships because I think that everyone should be happy. At the moment I am definitely feeling AkaKi... but I still Kise is everyone princess. Dean is everyone princess.... slight wincestiel leaning, and Bo is (you guessed it) everyone princess. If I end up dabbling in bnha Kirishim will be... is everyone princess.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I think I'll finish them all.

16. What are your writing strengths?

World building. Humour. Polydynamics. all things I want to read. Honestly I'd write less if I could read more!

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

finishing things. omg is finishing things hard!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I add japanese words to things. for the japenese characters. like where I don't like the direct translation, or the word conveys much more than the english translation.

I refuse to choice. I love them all. I especially love the polyships in d/s and omegaverse settings.

(despite the fact that there is a big fight involved, so it's not xmassy at all😥)

As you may have guessed I'm trying my hand at all genres, so a bit of hurt/comfort and angst was needed too. I kept it short this time, it's only 2 chapters, the first one is SFW, the other one... Well, also, but I'm gonna put some warning when pulished!

The title refers to a term of electronics, that seemed to fit the story as the diode is defined as "a passive nonlinear two-terminal electronic component whose ideal function is to allow electric current to flow in one direction and block it almost completely in the other". 🧑‍💻

Kagami and Aomine are vying for your attention, lucky girl!

Last but not least: the guys are described in their late 20es, and so are you.

" If I remember correctly, champers is the only booze you like " 

His voice, on the warm August evening, is calm. 

His steps are slow and relaxed, now that he joins you on the terrace of the famous hotel from which you can see the whole city. Bathed in the darkness of the night, that messy tangle of streets and buildings looks almost romantic. You smile, holding the iced flute in your fingers, watching his tall, powerful figure take his place beside you. His elbow on the rail, his large hand next to yours, his eyes so dark and intense as they linger a few moments on your face, probably searching for some detail to confirm the year that has passed since your last meeting.

"All the best Taiga, happy birthday!" you exclaim, letting the glasses tinkle, filling the silence of those first few minutes with their clink.

"Oh, thank you! " he chuckles, drinking the liquid in one gulp, abandoning the empty glass,to focus his gaze on an undefined spot in the landscape. You know he is nervous; but you also know that he is trying hard to mask the awkwardness that has been creeping into your rare interactions since "the incident."

"You look good, Chicago treats you well " you observe, getting his attention effortlessly, wetting your lips with the fizzy, bitter liquid. He nods and leans his back against the bannister, unconcerned that his expensive suit might get dirty, directing his gaze still on you, on your shoulders, left bare by the black dress you are wearing, on your hair gathered in a simple braided hairstyle. He smiles, a spontaneous smile, warm, tender, so full of expectations that inwardly makes you feel guilty.

"I'm glad you came. Crossing half the country for a rival's birthday wasn't his priority, I guess!" he points out, taking his gaze away from your eyes and onto another young man, inside the hall, engaged in lively conversation. 

"Ex-rival" you correct him, curving your lips into a shadow of a smile. "Now that you are two professional NBA players, you have nothing left to contend with " you acknowledge, putting aside the half-full glass, the only thing that now separates you.

" I've told you several times, my goal wasn’t defeating him, I just wanted to take his place" he admits, bringing your glass to his lips "However, I will always be glad to see your pretty face" he concludes, smiling tenderly, looking away from you to follow the slow pulsing of the skyscraper's lights.

"Taiga…" you sigh, opening a hand on his arm, trying to chase away the bitterness with which his last words were soaked. 

The silence that falls between you is interrupted by a burst of laughter and that name, chirped by a female voice.

"Enough!" reacts the birthday boy, turning a harsh look at you "You must have really lost your mind, if you're smug about being treated like garbage!" he concludes, turning his head back toward the room, so that you can see what he finds unacceptable.

Daiki laughs slyly, partly from the alcohol, partly because he is probably turned on by the presence of that famous lingerie model, who takes care to keep pressing all her delicious curves against his tall figure. The tanned man's eyes roam eagerly over the body of that undeniable beauty: full breasts, tight dress, soft hips, thick, shiny hair used as a mischievous means of seduction, now that she weaves it over her perfectly manicured fingers.

You shiver when you intercept the resolute, cutting gaze of that living Venus, who’s shamelessly challenging you. You shake your head and return staring into Taiga's dark eyes, which await a response.

"Women like him, and he returns the favour, no surprise." you exclaim without any restlessness in your voice "She, in particular, is very attractive and so driven that ... You might have a point, I could be alone tonight " you admit, shrugging casually.

"Will you call me ?" he asks, lowering his face to yours, bringing his long fingers to your temples to settle a strand of unruly hair behind your ear, leaving you with a slow, warm caress that makes you feel a little pain.

"You know I won't " you answer truthfully. 

Your voice disappears into the night, but his gaze remains the same.

"You are such a good girl! " he sighs, leaning over you to place his lips on your forehead. A seemingly intimate gesture, an act that lingers for a few seconds, for you to fully understand its meaning. He pulls away when he feels you tremble: he knows he has broken through to your senses, but perhaps what he doesn't know is that the only thing your body feels is a fierce, rumbling anger, beating like a wild animal under your skin to get out.

"I am, but that's not why you want me so bad " you rub into his face, taking a step back, taking away any chance of being reached by his arms "So...why do you want me so desperately, Taiga?" you ask as you lift your face to his, taunting him.

When you see that glint in his eyes, you know he gave up his act . 

You both know: the reason isn’t one, it doesn't have an unique name, but it doesn't have many either. 

"Stop wanting to compare yourself with him about everything, or like now, you will never know if your feelings are real or just a form of competition" you calmly explain to him. "Actually, you don't want me. You just want to have proof that you are better than him by taking away something you think he cares about. It's disrespectful and makes no sense. You're talented, you're hot as hell, you're one of a kind. So is he, but everyone is in their own way" and you pause, because you don't know how to make your point fast and clear. 

Too bad there is no more time, because you feel Daiki's eyes staring at you coldly.

"If I had known your feelings were true, I still wouldn't have called you tonight. I would have given you everything a year ago in Tokyo, because I liked the way you took care of me. Now it's all fake, useless, artificial " you emphasise, heedless that anyone might hear you. 

"Always good at speaking your mind! Too bad, lip service won't change the fact that you deserve someone who loves you more! " is all the red-haired boy manages to say.

Hi Anon! No worries read whenever you want. I'm quite busy these days too~Glad you enjoyed the Akashi KNB AU thing!! I can definitely see Akashi as a special grade it's like mandatory that he is. I think the rest of the Generation of Miracles would be getting close to Special Grade but aren't quite there yet. A semi-special grade? Furihata's definitely Grade 2 at the most you're so right. I'd prefer him in a manager role for his own safety. Ah, a special grade falling for a manager, wonder how that'll work out?

Pretty boy has neither shame nor remorse. Any characterization where Kise is just a golden retriever makes no sense. Even after his defeat against Seirin, Kise is only nice to people he respects. Only they get the full Puppy Kise experience.

20 Q's for Fic Writers

1 - How many works do you have on ao3?

215. I had a huge head start when I did one ficlet a day in 2015, but not all 365 of those made it onto Ao3 (and a few of them were chapters added to other fics.

2 - What's your total ao3 word count?

1,022,445. I'm so sad I didn't even notice when I went over a million on there! But upon checking it looks like it was during my posting for the HQ Monsterlovers Big Bang, so that's not surprising.

3 - What fandoms do you write for?

I mainly write for Haikyuu!!, but I started with Free!. I've also written for the MCU once or twice and VLD once, but I think there's only one of those ones on Ao3.

4 - What are your top five fics by kudos?

Fool's Gold, Curiosity Killed the Cat (and Satisfaction Brought it Back) , both of which surprised me, Growing Old in Mediocrity, which I seriously thought would be number one, Those Who Wander, and Brave.

5 - Do you respond to comments?

Honestly, no. I feel bad about it and I hate it, but I don't do it. I get so anxious that I'm going to somehow offend someone, or about what I'm going to say, and just. Ugh.

6 - What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Four Christmases That Totally Sucked (And One That Kind of Didn't) is the only fic I have left up that's just straight angst. I have a lot of hurt/comfort, but pretty much everything I write has a happy ending in one form or another. There is one other fic that exists only if you know where to find it here on tumblr that I deleted all the links to because I got literal death threats over the sad ending and I'm not playing that game with y'all.

7 - What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

This one depends on your definition of happy ending. Like I said pretty much all of my fics have a happy ending because of who I am as a person, but some of them require more work to get to than others. the best revenge (you are a life well lived) is by far the one that fits this question the best. Not only did the characters have to work hard for that happy ending, but I did too. To this day when I'm feeling trapped in a PTSD spiral, I can often point at that fic to remind myself that there is a way out, and that there is a life beyond the lowest point. Those few of you who know just how much I was going through leading up to posting this fic, including the night of posting it, y'all know exactly how much that means to me.

8 - Do you get hate on fics?

I have, but not in a long time. The thing is, I'm kind of an oblivious moron, sitting happily in my little corner of the sandbox and making the blorbos kiss. I do know there had been hate about me that I never even noticed, but the only hate I actually saw was back in 2015, so I'm glad about that.

9 - Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I have been told I write the fluffiest smut on the face of the planet, which is hilarious considering that most of what I write is also pretty kinky. I've been in the sex industry in one form or another for a few years now, mostly on the retail side, and I know some crazy shit, and it's kind of a special interest now. So erotica and smut are my bread and butter, but even when there are chains and whips and chastity devices, there's also a lot of love and aftercare and fluffy, schmoopy, cuddly grossness.

10 - Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Crossovers just kind of... pop out of me. None of them are crazy imo... most of them are Haikyuu!! and Free!, though I'm pretty sure there have been some knb kids as well.

11 - Have you ever had a fic stolen?

It was the funniest thing, my longest fic, the one I'm most proud of, was snatched and put up on Amazon for sale. It was a huge thing, so I wasn't the only author scraped, but let me tell you seeing my gay anime magic au fanfiction sold as an actual book with no changes to even the title or the description or character names still gives me a bit of a giggle.

12 - What's the longest you've spent working on one fic? And the shortest?

the best revenge objectively shouldn't have taken me over two years to write, but when you factor in all the life shit that happened to produce that fic, yes it should have. Prior to that, I spent 10 months or so writing The Anatomy of an Eternity and I'm so proud of how it turned out and have spent the last, oh god, six years chasing that high.

13 - Have you ever co-written a fic before?

One time a co-written fic just fell out of @ezzydean and I like an egg we didn't realize we were laying. Just. Plop! Ezzy re-formatted our chat log into jagged pieces and Feathers on the windowsill and to this day I don't know how it happened.

14 - What's your all-time favorite ship? From all fandoms?

I feel like it's unfair to say SakuAtsu considering I have posted exactly one (1) fic of them, but y'all have no idea how badly these to assholes have taken over my life. I had to give them their own section in my 4thewords writing organization. I hate them so much someone stop them.

15 - What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

There's a running joke that's not actually a joke about "the fanfic I will never publish". It's currently over 100k long and I doubt it'll ever see the light of day. I would also like to finish How Many Crows Does it Take to Screw In a Lightbulb but I don't know if I can finish it as is or if I need to tear it down and start all over since the timeskip.

16 - What are your writing strengths?

I've been told my characterization is gold, and I'm not discounting that. I think that I'm also just really good at Putting Dudes Into Situations. Since I am, as mentioned, sitting in a sandbox and making the blorbos kiss, that's really what writing fic is to me. I just wanna see what happens to these characters if I stick them in different combinations. I wanna see if they maintain the same basic form when they're not playing volleyball, but are instead navigating the faerie court, or in a magic college, or sailing on pirate ships. How much does environment change who we are and how much is it intrinsic to ourselves?

17 - What are your writing weaknesses?

Shiny Object Syndrome. I see a fun new AU and I have to physically restrain myself from chasing it down a rabbit hole and ignoring the sixteen other projects I have going on.

18 - Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Since I'm an Anglophone I don't know how much of a leg I have to stand on in this question. That said, I do believe there are certain things that can't be expressed outside of their native language. That said, I don't think it's my place as a white USAmerican to try and tell stories about what it's like to be xyz other race/culture/experience that I simply don't have access to. I do use Japanese terms in-prose for certain things. Genkan and Engawa are the most prominent things I can think of, since most English-speaking cultures don't really have equivalents in our own homes. Lines of dialog in other cultures are an interesting thing that I tend to avoid specifically because I don't know how to do it well in most of the languages that would make sense for what I'm writing (I speak enough Spanish to pass for a precocious pre-schooler, and I have a decent amount of Latin and Irish under my belt, but none of those really have a chance to come up in what I write, unfortunately).

19 - First fandom you wrote for?

Free!. The very first ficlet posted on this tumblr account was written January 1, 2015, and it was the very first piece of fanfic I ever wrote. Because I'm insane like that.

20 - Favourite fic you've written?

I love most of my children equally. That said, the best revenge (you are a life well lived), The Anatomy of an Eternity, and Rowan Berries, Iron, and Other School Supplies all have a very special place in my heart.

i try to get to every single one, but i still don't know what the protocol is for long fics when a reader leaves a comment on every single chapter. i try to just reply to the last one to avoid spamming them, but generally i love receiving comments so i usually get back to all of them!

6) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

no angsty endings, only angsty beginnings and middles

7) What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

...all of them? i think? my fics are pretty formulaic, at this point, so any conflict gets resolved by the end. i'd say my favorite ending is the one i wrote in Therein Lies the Heart, mostly because it's set in a time where orihime was still recovering from everything she went through in hueco mundo and figuring out how she wants to grow next as an individual, so i like how it ends with a hopeful note that she's made peace with whatever has happened and is ready to take on whatever is coming next! i think it sits neatly between pre-timeskip and post-timeskip in canon bleach, but that's just me!

9) Do you write smut?

not often. they're hard to write!

10) Do you write crossovers?

i think crossovers are very interesting but they're hard to execute in a way that incorporates the themes and elements of both stories! i joke around a lot about my favorite characters from bleach meeting my favorite characters from kuroko no basket and i love to toy around with unconventional team-ups like kakashi and orihime being pen-pals or ichigo and kuroko being classmates in college (since they're interested in the same major) but i don't think i'd actually write any, it's just me playing around with my dolls and then putting them back in the box! i don't read many either, but the one fic i did read (which was a knb/free crossover i think) was very good, even if i haven't actually watched free! crossovers require a special talent and while i'm curious about how i'd approach one, idk if i actually will😅

not a good plot person, i think. most of my fics are born out of short-term ideas or concepts or stories where nothing really happens and characters just feel things. i am also a lazy proof-reader so most of my edits/additions/corrections happen after i post something. i'm trying to work on that!

18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

i don't think i've ever put in a whole dialogue in another language, but there are some words and honorifics that you really can't capture accurately in english, so i pepper those in. they're pretty infrequent, though. i try to stick to what i know and work with it!

19) First fandom you wrote for?

....supernatural, but i never posted it anywhere 💀 the first fics i posted were all in the batman fandom

20) Favorite fic you've ever written?

You Can Show Me Your Heart (ChadHime) - this fic had been in my head for two whole years but i had never attempted writing it because i could never figure out how to start. once i finished it though, i ended up loving it a lot! i also love circuit which is my first aokagakuro fic!

I once saw an ad for Sk8 on YouTube and ever since then, I have been hooked! I really hope season 2 will come out, because I need more Reki in my life.
