Rarely ever be emotional. Your default is under emotional. Always observing, looking at how you can turn certain events to have a favorable outcome for you and where you can benefit from. Save your emotions for your children or your pets or for when you write or paint or express yourself. Save it for your journal to put them all down in and sort through them. Process your emotions in private, with someone you trust, or with a therapist. Practice mental hygiene every night where you put them down on paper or say them out loud. But your emotions are a currency.
Say you only have so much currency to spend every day. Would you be giving them out as freely as you do and to people who didn’t even ask for it?
Control where you put your focus, then you control your emotions.
Since your manifestations are tied to where you have been investing your emotional energies, as a result you also control what you are attracting into your life.

thinking about how hinata and kageyama's high school careers are bookended by kageyama making a serve and hinata going for the receive
how hinata absolutely and spectacularly failed during their first little competition
how hinata learned to love more than spiking, how it was a perfect receive that made him fall deeper in love with volleyball
how kageyama and hinata are known for their freak quick, this thing they do together
but kageyama's killer serve, and hinata's receives (no matter how late they arrive) are the ways they fight on their own, apart from each other
and its how they say "see you later"
they work so spectacularly together, truly each other strongest allies, but they are *rivals* first, and their high school career kicks off just like a game would, with a serve and a recieve
and then thats how they kick off their volleyball careers apart
You’re mad that you loved them the way that you did. You’re mad that you cared the way that you did. And the only reason you’re mad is because you don’t love yourself that way. That’s the real issue here.
Rereading Dungeon Meshi (never quite finished the manga stopped in the 70s) and every time I get to the bit where Laois' group meets Toushiro and Kabru's I really and truly feel for Laois. Up until that point it was very clear that even his friends don't really understand him/haven't quite truly made the effort to understand him. And the fight Laois has with Toushiro puts all the quiet things out into the forefront- oh Laois is just slow, he doesnt get people, hes naturally a bother, he has weird and intense interests, he makes people uncomfortable- but Laois himself doesn't get that because NOBODY TELLS HIM. How was he supposed to realize, when Toushiro never said anything? And having that followed up shortly by the shapshifter chapter in is just the final nail in the coffin for me. Not a single one of his party members was even close- meanwhile his versions of them have to be studied microscopically. Just. Laois tries so much man, he really does and I feel for him so fucking much
So anyway do you ever think about when Dick was delirious with fever and how he also had a gunshot wound in his leg, but despite that, he limped all the way to his motorcycle and took off after his talk with Bruce?
Because like?? Why does this man always just drive off after he's been shot?? I know Bruce didn't even realize that Dick left mid-conversation, but he really just let Dick take off like that without going after him or sending anyone to check on him?? I mean, Dick was so bad that Alfred full named him and demanded that he get back in bed to rest.
Nightwing (Vol. 2) #99
Dick clearly shouldn't have been moving around let alone driving his bike. And it's like, Bruce, I know you just lost your whole family/team but please try to keep your remaining family from crashing in the street.
