To the English dwelling people of Tumblr. Tell me your stories and legends about The Black Shuck. I'm very interested in hearing potential personal accounts of the legendary beast.
Have you seen him? Have your friends or family seen him? Anyone ever told you stories about him? Good? Bad?
He often described as a big black shaggy dog with red eyes. Sometimes two eyes and sometimes just one great blood red eye in the center like a cyclops.
So tell me... have you seen him? Let me know!

Scary stories: Dead head pass
Somewhere in the mountains between Europe and Asia lies a mountain Pass called “dead head pass”. this pass is said to be haunted and cursed.
Now you’re probably wondering why they call it that. Along with why it’s supposedly haunted and cursed.
Well let me describe it to you. You walk up this path through a gouge in the mnt. High rock walls on each side only allowing you to go in two directions. At the peak of this pass is an archway that you cannot go around. You can only go through the arch. And hanging from the center top of this archway is a severed head. This severed head is shriveled and dry, its mouth sown shut and eyes open wide staring at whoever dares to walk through the pass.
Now you’re probably thinking “ooooh a severed head. “Sooo scary””.
Yes very scary. Why? Because that head is cursed and not as dead as you would think. For no matter where you stand or how far away you are, the eyes of the head will stare at you. As you walk through the arch and pass underneath the head, it will watch you with those dead empty eyes. And even when you have passed threw the arch and away from the head, even though you think it’s no longer watching you, when you turn around and look, the head has turned around and is staring you down with those same cold dead empty eyes.
Locals refuse to go through the pass. Travelers who know about it will not travel through it, they fear the head so much that they would rather take the long route around the mountains then go through that pass.
They say that the head even knows when you are watching it. It’s always aware when someone is looking at it, even from a distance. For people have even tried taking peeks at the head through telescopes and binoculars. And when they see the head, the eyes suddenly swerve to look right back at you. Deep into your soul as if to say “I see you too!”.
But where did this head come from? How did it get there? Why was it put there? Why is it cursed? Well, let me tell you the legend…
The story began a long time ago. There was once a young merchant boy who traveled from kingdom to kingdom selling his wears. He’d sell them to commoners and royalty alike. One day he caught the eye of a princess who he also fell in love with. Every time he came to the kingdom to visit her, he’d bring her gifts he had acquired in his travels. Gifts ranging from silk dresses to beautiful jewelry. And she adored them.
Her father however, did not approve of the merchant boy courting his daughter and forbid them from seeing each other. To keep them apart, the king banished the boy from the kingdom and if he dared to return, the king would have him executed.
This did not deter the young couple. So they came up with a plan to meet in secret. The princess would sneak out of the castle at night, sneaking out of the border of the kingdom and would meet the merchant boy at the pass in the mountain.
They did this for weeks. But the king started to suspect something. So he sent one of his guards to spy on the princess to see what she was doing.
The guard followed the princess to the pass and discovered their deceit. He remained hidden and quietly snuck back to the king to report what he had learned.
The king was furious. In his anger, he ordered the guard to stand guard at the pass and scare away the boy and princess when they came to meet.
But after seeing how much in love the two were, the guard didn’t have the heart to keep them apart and would let them continue to have their secret meetings.
But then his deceit was soon discovered by the king. The king would have made his punishment simple but the king’s head sorcerer had a better idea…
The king ordered the guard to be beheaded, then the head sorcerer cast a spell upon the severed head, giving it a sort of life. They sowed the guards mouth shut so that he could not talk to anyone. Then the king had an archway built on the pass in secret. Not letting his daughter find out. When it was finished, he had the severed head hung from its center. The king smiled in glee, this would surely scare the young boy. It would scare him so bad that he would stay away from his daughter for good.
Well night came and the couple would again sneak out to meet. And as expected, the boy came to the pass. He stoped at the arch, lifted up his lantern and saw the head hanging from the arch. At first he froze, horrified at the mortifying sight before him, but then the eyes of the head glanced down to look at him, staring with those cold dead empty eyes. The boy screamed.
In horror, the boy dropped his lantern and ran away, away from the head, and away from the kingdom that his was forbidden to set foot in.
It would appear as if the kings work was done, he had successfully gotten rid of the boy who was courting his daughter.
But…
An hour later, the princess arrived at the pass. She held up her lantern and looked around. At first she had payed no mind to the round hairy ball hanging from the arch. She could not tell it was a head do to the fact that it was not facing her. But as she looked around, she noticed a discarded lantern on the ground. She walked over and picked it up. But then she looked behind her and finally noticed the head hanging from the arch. And just like with the boy, the head look down at her with those soul piercing eyes and the girl shrieked. She then turned away and ran for her life. But not in the direction of her kingdom, she ran in the same direction as the young boy and the couple was never seen again.
The kings plan had apparently backfired. Instead of scaring the couple away from each other, he only managed to scare his daughter away from him for good. The king never saw his daughter again.
Now what had become of the young couple? No one knows. Some say they found each other in the next village and lived happily ever after. Others say that the two had been so frightened that they weren’t watching where they were going and tripped and fell off a cliff to their doom.
You decide.
As for the severed head. In modern days, the pass had become somewhat of a legend. For the pass had become over grown and hidden by the passing of time. thrill seeking adventurers still try to look for it. Some have even claimed to have found it. They even claimed to have walked under the cursed head. They say that as they walk under the head, they can hear a very quiet, muffled scream coming from it.
One such adventurer had made a sketch of the head. Here is the sketch…

Things I wish women were learning from true crime podcasts: how to spot early warning signs of abusive relationships, how to escape abusive relationships, how easily domestic violence can escalate to murder, how incredibly unlikely it is to be the victim of a crime done by a complete random stranger as opposed to friends and family
What women are learning from true crime podcasts: I am in CONSTANT danger and every day I survive without being murdered by a serial killer is a miracle. I should react to everyone I meet with distrust and paranoia and live my life as if I am in mortal peril and if anyone suggests that might not be healthy then they just don't understand what it is to Be A Woman In Today's Society

Anyway. Bi and Mspec Lesbians aren't a hotly "debated" topic or even new to queer culture, it's just the newest thing that bullies who REALLY want to be homophobic and even racist use to justify harassing gay people they don't like.
It's the thinnest possible veneer of progressive language wrapped around TERF and reactionary rhetoric so that they can feel righteous for forming an angry mob against vulnerable targets. If you're gullible enough to fall for the newest wave of bigotry within the queer community, and turn on your allies because they're "confusing" or "invading your spaces," the SAME way they turned on bi/pan labels, trans people, xenogenders, neopronouns, and aroace people before this, then get lost.
#No patience. Wither and rot.#These motherfuckers dogpiled the legend who leaked the no fly list because it identified as the wrong type of lesbian.#They will attack the people doing DIRECT ACTION over dumbfuck label discourse. Deeply unserious people.#Embarrassing to think that there are rubes out there who keep falling for this#For ALL our sakes I hope this is literally their first rodeos and they really haven't fallen for this bullshit twice.#But unfortunately I'm too old to be that hopeful.#I didn't get to see the big ''public block list'' made for us dirty queers who support or are bi/mspec lesbians but I hope I was on it#If a man is best judged by his enemies then exclusionists who echo terf rhetoric are the ones I WANT to have.#And ''public lesbian block list'' is in quotes because if you REALLY thought that such a thing wasn't a ''GO HARASS THESE PEOPLE'' charter-#--then you have a black mold where your brain used to be and it's rapidly eating into the bathroom tile you call a skull#Unironically you should not have a platform if you are THAT stupid or malicious to think it was anything BUT a harassment charter#I hope they're ashamed.#Context for those unaware: a flesh-eating amoeba created a public blocklist for people who supported bi lesbians#Minors and extremely small creators without big platforms were on that list#People got harassed but the most namely was Lockandkeyhyena who had people raiding his server with racial slurs and death threats.#I hope everyone involved sees who their ''allies'' are when they spread that sentiment.#A bunch of people ACTUALLY 'invading someone's space' to post the n-word and suicidebait.#THAT is who you appeal to. Sit with that.
