Videogames I wish were real #85
Oh to live in play a pixel art Pokemon farming sim. You have a cute lil house you can decorate to your liking. Every day you get to take care of your berries and apricorns. You get to feed and pet and take care of your pokemon. There's minigames where you get to bath them or play stuff like hide and seek or tag or tic-tac-toe or with them. You can pick one pokemon to follow you around. When you reach a high enough friendship level with one pokemon they'll sometimes bring you gifts and you can ask them to help you with some chores around the house or the farm. You use the wool you get from Mareeps and Wooloos to knit sweaters and socks and blankets. You make cheese and butter with the milk you get from Miltank. Once you progress enough in the game you get to open a cute lil store in the town where you sell all your homemade wares to the townspeople and also items to visiting trainers such as the pokeballs you make from apricorns. Every couple of months you turn on your tv and hear about a ten year old saving the world and half the time you know the kid because they've been to your store. Sometimes you'll find wild pokemon you can approach and befriend. No combat mechanics, you feed the pokemon or pet them or offer them shinies and they usually leave you alone except sometimes they'll follow you home. The cute lil town you live in has a ton of festivities and charming npcs. You can ask npcs to be your (platonic or not) roommates, you can marry npcs, you can have kids or adopt them (without being on a relationship) or stay single. There's no limit to how many pokemon beds you can place inside your house. You can place pokebeds, food and water bowls anywhere in the world. You can also fish and dive and mine and forage. If you leave a bunch of berries in an ancient hidden shrine to Groudon/Kyogre you can ensure that the next day is rainy or extra sunny. One time you ran into Palkia and Dialga and offered them some really tasty pokepuffs so now you have the gods of space and time at your beck and call and you can basically time travel and teleport as long as you give them treats first. You like to stay up late on the nights when the tv says there's going to be Minior showers to watch the colorful falling stars with your pokemon cuddled at your side. Life is good.

As the description says, Stardew Valley meets Pokémon! This farm sim is about training cute blob creatures, capturing them, and even combining them to make new blobs for combat or aesthetics! This monster tamer also has house customization, fishing, and friendship. This game will also feature in game events that i am so excited for.
No release date yet, but OVA Magica is expected sometime in 2023.

Ova Magica is a unique mix of genres due in 2023
Tumblr media
Ova Magica JRPG farming game due in 2023 on Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Which is the result of creativity from developer ClaudiaTheDev. Working to make its way onto Steam and DRM-Free next year. Need an endearingly vibrant, critter-catching wholesome JRPG farming game experience? Ova Magica is a special title combining the best of the JRPG, farming, and monster taming genres with life-sim elements. Which is also an ode to some of your favorite games, from Stardew Valley and Slime Rancher on Linux. All the way to timeless classics such as Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, Pokémon, Grandia, Jade Cocoon, and Azure Dreams. In Ova Magica, you must manage a farmstead on the outskirts of a quaint little hamlet called Clover Town. Which is also full of colorful manga-stylized NPCs. There you will need to engage with them through conversations, gifts, and, of course, blob battles. As your relationship with the locals (some of whom you might choose to settle down with!) and town increases, the secrets of Clover Town start to unlock in front of you. And by secrets, this means hidden temples, dungeons, and portals to exotic dimensions. These new worlds are due to contain strange items and priceless artifacts that hold the key to the town's - and your own - future. Ahead of the game’s release in 2023, a new trailer demonstrates both never before seen gameplay. As well as features in the game are now available.

Say What? Blob Battles?
Blob battles! Blobs live out in the wild. You must undertake perilous adventures into lost temples. As well as ancient dungeons searching for Blob eggs. Blobs share a connection to their settings. So it stands to reason that you might find fire-themed Blobs in desert dungeons. All while those deep in the jungle will be populated by roughly jungly Blobs. Their native home will differ thanks to the miracle of procedural generation. Doing so in the spirit of the classic PS1 RPG Azure Dreams. After hatching, you raise and train your blob to become a trusty side-kick and companion. Battles are great fun and due to test you, but your Blob can do so much more than fight. In Ova Magica each one possesses special abilities that you can use to cultivate your farm. For instance, using explosives to clear rock piles. Even water elements that help water plants using their… well… you know. Unlike Pokemon, blobs can be made stronger and take on each others’ abilities. Including their characteristics by crossbreeding with any other blob species. Once the eggs hatch, get a couple of blobs up together in one of the dedicated love pods. Bive them some space, and wallah!, their blobby love blossoms into new crossbred species.
Let’s Talk About Clover Town
The picturesque countryside surrounding Clover Town offers plenty to do. Chop down trees, chase down butterflies with a net, grow/harvest crops, and more. Then sell your goods at the town farmer’s market to earn the funds you need to build up your home or expand the town. However, Ova Magica is just as much about adventuring as it is about city building! As you work on your farm you'll also find special ingredients that unlock portals to the world's dungeons and temples. There is much to explore in these dungeons and wildlands. Find rival blob trainers and bosses ready to test you and your blobs in the Active Time Battle system. Be prepared! Or, just sit down and enjoy a cup of tea alongside other Ova Magica adventurers. These are also passing through these odd new worlds. With the treasures you bring back, you can build advanced farm tools and special facilities for the town. Town expansion is important as it unlocks additional activities, new questlines, and attracts other NPCs. Due to populate your very own Clover Town. Just outside of Clover Town, you’ll find even more activities and secrets. Right from fishing ponds where you can kick back on a day off. Including misplaced blueprints for advanced machinery like juicers, creamers, and furnaces. Don’t forget to catch up with the latest news from the blob trainer community at the local Blob League HQ.
When Can I Get My Hands On Ova Magica?

Scene0 seems fascinating…
I mean, besides the fact I can’t read Japanese to even get a grasp of what exactly is going on, I am absolutely mesmerized by the shift in how the game and story plays aesthetically.
There are a couple things that I’m really digging from Scene0 and, funny enough, it isn’t related to the story itself lol!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No. 1: it feels very cinematic. I guess because of the nature of the magical girl who’s taking the spotlight this time around, the event feels just like watching a movie. It’s kind of like an upgraded version of the usual way we’ve been going through stories up until the Agent Magica event.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No. 2: The close ups of Mabayu’s sprite are very unique and I think she’s the first character in the game to have such thing. I like it because it takes away a little bit of the monotony in which characters express themselves. It’s quite immersive and helps adding a certain level of importance to whatever she’s doing here.
Tumblr media
No. 3: I don’t wanna glorify no character that isn’t Kanagi, but Mabayu wins when it comes to facial expressions. There’s a lot of attention to detail that went into her animated sprite and it has made her a very likeable character. At least to me. I like her way more now than when I first saw her design a couple years ago.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No. 4: One of the best animated transformation sequences we have had in a while. I used to hate her hair but I kinda live for it now. They ruined it with her anime style sprite, though.
There was actually a very fascinating thing about her transformation and, I don’t know if y’all noticed but, that scene when her card is supposed to materialize in takes a lot longer than usual. It’s kind of cool cuz it adds some really nice suspense, emotion, eagerness and excitement of seeing a girl becoming meguca for the first time.
All in all this event is truly a good improvement to everything this game has done in the past few years. I would love if there could be an animated OVA or some sort cuz it feels deserving of one.
Mabayu, sis! Welcome home!

Notable And Underrated Anime That Have Excellent English Dubs, In My Opinion - A List (With Some Extra Banter or Whatever)
The works of Shinichirō Watanabe, ranging from Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Space Dandy, and Carole & Tuesday (so much so that they're better off disqualified from lists likes this, due to being way too obvious choices... moving on)
FLCL (heck, would even say the same to the otherwise derivative Progressive and Alternative)
The Read or Die OVA, alongside its sequel series R.O.D the TV (so good, that even the likes of Yomiko "The Paper" Readman changing accents actually doesn't feel as jarring as I thought it would be)
Azumanga Daioh (on a side note, Ayumu "Osaka" Kasuga sounds a bit like Steven Universe's Amethyst and The Owl House's Vee Noceda; can't really say why)
Lucky Star (so, which part of the Choco cornets should we eat first?)
Nichijou ('nuff said)
K-On!/K-On!! (might sound a bit jarring if one also watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica on the English dub (a bit good, but nothing compared to the Rebellion movie and maybe the compilation films; case in point, Mio Akiyama, Ritsu Tainaka, Tsumugi Kotobuki, and Azusa Nakano are Homura Akemi, Kyubey, -bloody- Hitomi Shizuki, and Madoka Kaname respectively)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan (kinda sucks that the two compilation movies don't have dubs; would have loved seeing the extra hamminess of the characters' English voices in those)
Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water - ADV (even if the occasional accents are inaccurate, the emotional delivery of the VAs is hard to deny, especially the vile Gargoyle's)
Kill la Kill (if one has witnessed it, then you know that they sure had a lot of fun playing the characters in this extremely fun gainaxy romp)
Toradora! (...basically the closest we get to seeing Madoka verbally beat down Kyubey in romance and stuff)
Ghost in the Shell, both the movie duology (1 and 2: Innocence) and Stand Alone Complex, including the Tachikomatic Days extras and the Solid State Society movie (so much so that the latter's DVDs are mostly set with the English dub on default, reportedly even in Japan)
REDLINE (can't speak enough for it so to describe its epicness)
Dead Leaves (you can actually watch it on YouTube... it might overwhelm you)
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt (telling that it's way more raunchy than even the original Japanese)
Golden Boy (you know, at least the show didn't continue on, lest it might have gotten way too weirder like the manga it's adapted from)
Black Lagoon (so good, that it resulted with the Roberta's Blood Trail OVAs having the cast reprise their roles due to fan demand)
Excel Saga and Puni Puni Poemy (so madcap, the former's titular character's VA broke her voice halfway through the show)
Honorable mentions:
Neon Genesis Evangelion - particularly the ADV dub, with Manga Entertainment's efforts on The End of Evangelion and the Director's Cut versions of Episodes 21-24 (it might be correctly deemed as flawed, but nowadays, it sure has proven its worth, albeit at the cost of the Netflix dub being derided as lacking in emotion and perhaps also nuance)
The Manga Entertainment dubs for the Patlabor movie duology (a shame the OVA series preceding it doesn't share the same cast, while the Patlabor TV series dub... eludes me)
GaoGaiGar (flaw: it's unfinished, and thus never even reached the FINAL parts)
In the meantime, hopeful readers, feel free to put on personal recommendations, in case there'll be a second part, if not a commenter's edition.

I’ve got so much work recently that the brain ain’t filled up yet but I have a couple ideas for the magical girl au :):):):) back on my usual bullshit lmao ✨✨✨
K so these mfers (Knights + Mika + Shu(eventually, give him time, a season two breakdown and a redemption arc) ) should go song karaoke together. They deserve it after all the horrors tbh. The little doll man should get to experience the epic highs and lows of awful greasy pizza at an establishment that isn’t a restaurant. Tsukasa, Izumi, and Shu should also be subjected to it tbh. Tsukasa might like it <3 Izumi and Shu however… malding, screaming and dying even.
Anyways it would be funny as hell if Shu also went to school with the knights. Cuz he’s the same age as Izumi and Leo anyways. Bruh, Arashi could just think that Shu is Mika’s crush 💀💀💀. On god that could make for some top tier comedic interactions. Mostly Arashi teasing Mika about his crush, and Mika frantically trying to assure her that it isn’t a crush cuz he wouldn’t be caught dead catching feelings for his boss. Meanwhile the idea that he could have a crush on his boss has been planted in the back of his mind and it’s only gonna keep growing. I feel like this would be funny for two reasons, one: hijinks, two: bigger emotional payoff when Mika does decide to leave him <<<333 break both of their hearts in one foul swoop.
also Leo being a menace to Shu. They should be in the same class. It would be funny.
Back on my fighting bullshit. I feel like Shu would never fight with his hands or with blades tbh. I feel like he would use a bunch of smaller dolls after losing Mika. Ones that he considers imperfect or something, idk man, something symbolic. + the dolls could almost look like they’re already falling apart and they deteriorate more and more as his mental state deteriorates (not as an in universe thing, just as a visual symbol for the audience to emphasize that Shu is breaking down lmao)
Also Shu and Mika should kiss. Arashi is the #1 wing woman tbh. I love her so much. She deserves to wear a pretty dress like in those super magical girl forms. Like madoka’s at the end of madoka magica when she does the thing, or any of the really powerful forms in precure.
also arashi should punch Shu in the face at one point. I’m thinking about him getting her sword away from her with dolls and being like “Hah! It seems as if you weren’t prepared for this eventuality girl! Kakakakaka! Now that I’ve disarmed you it’s impossible for you to defeat me! Now then, if you’ll excuse me I have more important matters to-” “AGHH!? You, you ignorant girl! You, you imbecile! Why I can’t believe you would-“ she raised her fist again so he finally shut the fuck up. He’s learning 🥰🥰🥰. Mika is probably upset about Shu getting punch tbh. Like he knows why Shu deserved it but he’s still a bit upset. He ain’t mad tho. Shu needed to have some sense beaten into him for once ✨✨✨.
I’m done for now ✨🥰✨🥰✨😎😎😎😎
I kind of want to write out a whole anime plot tbh. If I actually get around to finishing my current fic I might write an outline for this sometime tbh. If I get it done I’ll probably come drop it in your ask box unannounced. Or I’ll make a post and @you in it cuz that might be easier if it’s a whole ass outline.
I love ur ideas even though i forgot answer this ngl JSBDKS Drawings to compensate! It's the only i can do haha!
Anyways, this scene is definitely in the ending of the second season or an OVA about the 7 having daily adolescence adventures like they should had since the start lol
I feel like Leo would be an usual costumer in the karaoke, actually, this would be the group's hideout jsbfjs
Tumblr media
Now, I love the idea of Mika staring too long to Shu in the corridors of the school and then Arashi notices and starts teasing him
Mika: no way i could possibly like my boss! He's just so cool and composed and smart and-
Shu, in his classroom:
Tumblr media
And yes i think Shu and Mika should kiss, but i also think that Arashi and Mika should kiss, so my offer is:
Arashi: this is my boyfriend, Mika. And this Mika's boyfriend, Shu.
Basically, shumika=second chance trope, aramika=friends to lovers trope. And i love it
You know that i was thinking exactly the same about Shu's powers? He could never fight someone by himself, he would break before a finger lands on him jabfjsj
So yeah, i belive that he would have a dolls/mannequin army. In the first episodes he only uses Mika because he's the strongest, but when he loses him he would starts using unfinished dolls to fight, and with the pasta of episodes there would be more and more dolls but with a worse quality! Like Mika>Metal dolls>Wood dolls>Ceramic/industrial mannequins?. They would start being extremely fragile, like his mental stability😊!
Tumblr media
You know Santa Clous from Chainsaw Man? Yeah i see Shu with a similar power but less OP ofc. Like he can control the movements/minds(?) of his artificial dolls but not people, Mika is the exception! Because Mika considered himself like Shu's doll! Once he starts making choices by himself he couldnt be controlled anymore!
Back to Arashi, im 100% sure that her powerup/god form has longer hair, following the more hair=more power formula. I also want to give the nerf or smth that have so much power she has to lose a lot of her humanity sense! She would become this "Justice God" or smth without emotions and the rest of her friends would have to fight/convince her back into normal!
Tumblr media
Now. Yes. Arashi should punch people. Arashi should beat the shit out of people. Arashi should beat the shit out of Shu. I didn't gave her armor gloves for nothing.
Tumblr media
Yes. Queen. Be scary. Be intimidating. Be your enemy's worst nightmare.
And you want to write the plot while i want to anímate the fucking fight scenes oUT OF MY HEAD I SWEAR IT WOULD LOOK SO COOL IF I KNEW HOW TO ANIMATE UGHH
I would love to read whatever you write about this au too! I'll read every ask you drop here even if i take forever to answer haha;;
