A list of the shipnames of Sanders Sides Characters that include two people! Orange is included with temporary shipnames until we know more about him, as has been voted in this poll! Ordered by however it made sense to me.

"Alright kiddo, you have fun ok? If you need me to pick you up just tell someone to call me ok?" Patton's mom smiled as she ruffled his hair.

"Ok mama!" Patton said, burrowing his face into the plush frog in his arms.

Today was Patton's first official sleepover with Roman and Remus where he was at their house, and not the other way around, and he'd never been more excited in his life.

"Pat!!!" His mom had just pulled out of the driveway when he felt himself collapse onto the floor, engulfed in a vortex of green squid onesie.

"Rem!!!!" Patton said with a grin.

"Did you bring Mr. Ribbit! Didja didja!" Remus said as he stood back up.

"Mhm!" Patton said, holding up the plush frog.

"Good! He has a very important appointment," Remus said, grabbing Patton's hand and rushing off.

"Oh? He didnt tell me he had a meeting!" Patton said, staring at Mr. Ribbit with very intense concern.

Eventually they reached Remus and Roman's room, inside was Roman, sitting on about six beanbag chairs stacked onto of one another and wearing an odd combination of a paper crown, a tutu, and about sixteen beaded necklaces, as well as twirling a wand in one hand.

"We've been expecting you, Sir Patton," Roman said, he'd lost a front tooth a few days prior, so it wasnt in usual Princely Manner.

Patton and the twins spent a good few hours playing swords and pretend before Patton started to feel strange.

He missed his mom and his blanket, but he didnt want to disappoint the twins, they were both just so excited.

"Misses Prince-Duke?" Patton tugged slightly on the hem of the woman's skirt, Mr. Ribbit aloft in his arm.

"Is everything alright sweetie? Do you need me to call your mother?" Mrs. Prince-Duke kneeled down so she was at Patton's level.

"Can we make cookies? Mama always let's us make cookies and watch movies before we go to bed," Patton said quietly.

A knowing smile crossed Mrs. Prince-Duke's face.

"Of course we can dear,"

Once Patton got used to the change, he actually had a lot of fun, and definitely planned on coming back as much as he could.

I idea: Remus and Deceit are finally accepted in the group but the sides need to get used (and kinda adapt to their need just as they did to Virgil) Remus and Deceit. Especially Remus, but is not very easy (Patton and Roman are the ones who most need to adapt/ after all Patton is well, the lider, and Roman now sleeps in the same room as Remus again) sorry for the big ask, I don't know if it's too shitty XD ignore if it is!

Never apologize for big asks! They’re just as fine as short asks! And if whatever you anna send doesn’t fit into just one ask, always feel free to send multiple parts! This is gonna be the last one that I answer for the night though cause I don’t wanna burn myself out, and I have school tomorrow-

Even though Patton had claimed earlier that day that having Remus and Deceit join the rest of the group didn't bother him, that they still didn't put him on edge. At the time, he really thought he believed his own words. But late into the night, he realized that them being so close did bother him. To the point that it was keeping him from falling asleep.

He slipped his glasses on and groaned when he looked at the time, the clock showing that it was 2:30am. Patton decided that he was done waiting for sleep to take him, and that he should go do some late night baking to ease his mind, and perhaps tire his nerves.

When he rounded the corner to the kitchen though, he froze as he heard light laughs and Remus's hushed voice. The kitchen light was on but very dimmed, and Patton took a deep breath, peering into the kitchen, expecting a mess of some sort.

He did not expect to see Remus and Deceit talking softly between one another, Deceit watching as Remus prepared various ingredients and going on about something. Patton couldn't quite hear what it was he was talking about, though, and he couldn't tell what Remus was going to make with the ingredients he dug from the pantry.

Some time went by; Remus appeared to be making some sort of batter from scratch, talking about whatever came to mind. Deceit listened intently, occasionally offering his own point of view and helping Remus measure ingredients whenever Remus was unsure. Patton was getting bored though, and he really wanted to know what was going on. So, he finally stepped into the kitchen, clearing his throat.

"Um, hi...?"

They both looked up, their smiles faltering slightly. "Hello Patton." Deceit greeted.

"What are you still doing up?" Remus asks, turning to finish mixing the dry ingredients.

"I could ask you both the same thing," Patton claimed as he moved closer to get a better look at what they were doing, now that it seemed they didn't mind his presence.

Deceit held out a piece of paper with a long list of ingredients, all of which surrounded him on the counter. "Whenever Remus can't sleep, he comes and wakes me up and we bake. He creates all new recipes and everything."

"This time it's a batch of cookies!" Remus grinned, and Patton looked up from the list to watch him.

"You guys do this a lot?"

Remus hummed in confirmation. "I also didn't want to wake up Roman, now that we're sharing a room again, so I couldn't do what I normally do to tire myself out."

Patton nodded in understanding. "What about you, Patton?" Deceit asked, taking the list back as Remus passed him yet another measuring cup and a few ingredients. "I never took you for one to be up so late."

"I couldn't sleep either..." he trailed off, and Remus faltered slightly in his movements, glancing at Patton from the side. "But, I think I'm feeling a bit better."

"You're still uneasy about us, huh." Remus stated bluntly, earning a light hit on the arm from Deceit. "Hey!"

"Don't call them out, Rem." He scolded lightly.

Patton fidgeted. "Well, he's right... But, I really do think I feel a bit better. Especially after learning about... this," he waved vaguely at all the ingredients.

"Wanna join us?" Remus asked, turning around completely to face Patton for the first time. Patton tilted his head, biting his lip slightly.

"You both would be fine with it?"

"Of course!"

Patton hesitated for a moment, before a smile finally found it's way to his lips and he nodded. Deceit summoned an apron for him, moving so Patton could get closer to help Remus.

And if by the time everyone else woke up to a messy kitchen, with Patton, Remus, and Deceit laughing amongst themselves while eating some freshly made cookies, no one called them out on it. Not when they also got to taste Remus's new concoction.

Very obsessed with the idea of Patton "I'm going to come around eventually to every one of the dark sides and shower them with love" Sanders slowly getting used to Remus over time and no one else noticing. He's making cookies and Remus just pops in and lays on the counter licking a stick of deodorant like a popsicle, and instead of getting upset Patton hands him a cookie like "here, you might want to try some real food." Remus just looks at him blankly before sinking out without saying a word, but after that continues to "bother" him whenever possible. Patton still doesn't get upset though, and tries to calmly reply to anything he says, even the most disturbing comments. Remus is confused and caught off guard for the first time ever, but it's kinda nice having someone who actually talks to him, instead of just calling him gross and annoying and telling him to go away. One day he makes a dirty joke and when Patton giggles he's shocked and Patton let's him in on his secret that he's just been pretending to not know what adultry means this whole time. Patton kinda relizes that Remus isn't really all that scary; If anything he's like a hyperactive puppy (a puppy that might have rabies, but still a puppy). It gets to the point where during movies Patton will turn around and tell Remus he can come up on the couch if he wants (granted he puts clothes on). Roman is like ew, what's he doing here? and Patton just lets Remus cuddle while running his fingers through his hair and is like "now kiddo, that's not any way to talk about our family." No one knows what happened or why and most of them aren't especially happy about it at first, but Patton will still defend him because dang it he's spent too long not giving the other sides a chance and he's going to make up for it.

Patton wiped at his eyes helplessly. No matter how hard he tried, the tears wouldn’t stop cascading down his face. The sobs wouldn’t stop racking his body, either. He was starting to think he would never stop crying.

He wished he could do everything right without any collateral damage. But when it came to the complex moral questions like the ones they had considered today, he couldn’t find a way for no one to get hurt.

Roman was upset because of him. Roman didn’t think he was loved because of him. He didn’t want him to think that, not at all, but Thomas needed to take care of himself.

He heard a knock at the door. His cries faltered as his attention was stolen so he could look up at the door.

“Please leave me alone,” he called to the person outside the door.

The door opened anyway. Patton made a confused noise when he saw Remus.

“What are you doing here?”

“What am I doing here, Daddy-O?” repeated Remus, slamming the door shut behind him with his foot. “Three of you bitches needed comfort after the convo with the Jan-Man.” He shrugged. “I ain’t one of them. Thought I could provide some juicy-ass hugs.”

Patton bit his lip. He and Remus weren’t necessarily friendly. He was curious as to why Remus was helping him.

“Why are you with me right now?”

“We all thought you could use some relief,” Remus then wiggled his eyebrow, “I am willing to provide it...any way you wa-”

Patton interrupted him with an embarrassed shriek. He took a deep breath afterward so he could speak. “Why is no one else helping me?”

Remus frowned. “Don’t want me here?”

Patton shook his head, not wanting to harm anyone else. “It’s not that. I just thought someone like V—” he choked on a sob, “—Virgil would be more comfy with me.”

“Virgil’s comforting Roman,” said Remus, crossing his arms. “Janus is comforting Logan...and probably apologizing to him as well. I volunteered to help you out!”

Patton nodded. “Okay.”

Remus nodded in satisfaction and ran over to Patton. He sat in front of him. “Sooooo...what’s up?”

Patton sobbed.

“Right. I feel ya, Smash-ton.” Remus thought for a moment. “Worried about Roman?”

Patton nodded. “He- he wouldn’t let me see him...he seemed angry at me.” Patton tried to take a deep breath but it was interrupted by a sob. “I d-don’t really blame him, Virgil is probably better for him right now than me.”

“Virgil might be a better comfort person for him,” agreed Remus, “but you did what you thought was right.”

“Keyword: thought!” Patton exclaimed, covering his mouth so more cries wouldn’t come through. “Everyone always gets hurt when I do what I think is right.”

“Not always. But when people disagree...the party that loses almost always hurts.”

Patton didn’t reply, but his body started to shake.

“...And sometimes both parties get hurt.”

“Things...things should be better right now!” Patton protested. “I did what I thought was right...Thomas needs to take care of himself, but no one is okay! I can’t do anything right!”

Remus’s eyebrows raised in alarm. “That’s not true.”

“It is.”

“We can’t have that thinking, sexy side of mine. You definitely can do things right. Sure, you’ve made mistakes-”

Patton started crying more.

“-But everyone does! Everyone makes mistakes. All of us. Virgil can be too scary, Logan can be too harsh, Roman can be too...much, Janus manipulates people, I think I once fucked one of my monsters in the Imagination-”

“I get it,” Patton said, a laugh-like sob leaving his lips.

“You can do things right,” replied Remus. “Even if you don’t always. Your decision today was right too. Roman has just been...misled, and he needs help with that, but what you did was right. Janus deserves a seat at the table.”

“I know he does.”

“Today was a win.”

“It doesn’t feel like it.”

Remus sighed. He reached out and put his hand on Patton’s face, starting to dry his tears. Patton didn’t move away.

“No, no it doesn’t.”

Summary: Patton helps with nightmares

Patton woke up to Roman gently shaking his shoulder

“Roman, kiddo. Is everything alright?”

Roman chewed on his lip “Sorry to wake you Pat, but can I sleep in your room tonight?”

“Of course!” Patton opened up his blankets to allow Roman to crawl in “Not that I mind in the slightest, but is there any reason?”

A long pause came from Roman before he very quietly mentioned “Remus is screaming in his sleep. Nothing I did would wake him.”

Patton wasn’t quite sure what happened next but all of a sudden he was in front of a door with “Creativity” etched into it. He could hear screaming from the other side. They sounded...terrified.

He opened the door and very carefully walked over to Remus’s bed. He was shaking and looked so small and scared. Patton did the only thing he could think of and crawled into the bed, wrapping his arms gently around him and almost cried when Remus attached himself to Patton like he was a lifeline. He was still screaming but it was slightly muffled due to his face being pressed against Patton’s chest.

The lack of air is what finally woke him. Remus was hyperventilating as he tried to figure out what his surroundings were. Who was...with him?

“Hey kiddo, sh sh sh. You’re alright. You’re safe. I got you.”

Kiddo? Must be Patton.

Wait, Patton?

Remus opened his mouth to say something flirty. Something suggestive as to why Patton was in his bed but all that came out was a sob.

Patton shushed him and gently ran his fingers through his hair, pulling him closer.

Remus pressed his cheek into Patton’s chest, and just allowed the tears to fall.

Virgil couldn’t really sleep. He never really could. Usually, he was the only one awake at this hour so hearing footsteps pass his door accompanied with frustrated Roman mumbles was surprising, to say the least.

Then a couple of moments later, he heard running.

Oh no.

What was wrong?

Virgil got up and opened his door just in time to see Patton go into Roman’s room.

Roman...and Remus’s room.

His feet acted before his brain and he was about to burst in when he felt a hand tug on his arm.

“Virgil, don’t.”

“Logan. Let me go.”

“You need to let Patton do this.”

“NO! What if he gets hurt? I have to protect him.”

“No, you don’t”

“Yes, I do. It’s literally my job.”

“No. Your job is to protect Thomas.”

“Yes. Which we’re all a part of, so by extension I have to protect Patton.”

“You seem to favor protecting Patton though, why is that?”

“Because….I owe him. He was the first one to accept me as part of the group. And I know he is a big part of the reason the rest of you slowly started to accept me too. Protecting him is the least I could do.”

Logan nodded “Patton’s ability to accept people, even when nobody else does, has always been a good trait of his.”

Virgil huffed “I know what you’re hinting at, but it’s different this time.”

“How so?”

“Because Remus is dangerous. He’s gonna hurt him.”

“Hmm? Interesting.”

“How on EARTH is that interesting?!”

“No. Not the content of the words. The words themselves. Roman once said the exact same thing about you. Word for word. But you would never hurt Patton, right?”

“Of COURSE I wouldn’t.”

“Hmm.”

Virgil looked at the ground “Fine. I’m staying out here though. Just in case.”

“Very well. Goodnight Virgil.”

“Night.”

Patton wasn’t sure how long he had stayed in Remus’s bed, but he did notice the first signs of dawn when Remus finally fell back asleep.

Patton smiled down at him and kissed his forehead before getting up and leaving the room, only a little surprised to see Virgil sitting across from the door.

Virgil stood up when he saw Patton and grabbed his hands tightly.

“Virgil, what’s wrong?”

“You being kind and accepting has always been one of my favorite things about you.” He squeezed Patton’s hands.

“Aw. Kiddo. Thank you. I try my best.”

Virgil looked up into Patton’s eyes “You’re being careful?”

“Of course.” Patton smiled very softly and kissed Virgil’s forehead “Come on. We should sleep.”

I shall maybe sleep soon but... Imagine Patton going to Remus to just vent his frustrations bc he know Roman wouldn't be emotionally able to handle listening, Virgil would overthink, Logan wouldn't be an option, and he doesn't know how Janus would react. So he asks Remus if he can vent to him. And soon enough, the two become friends, and Patton helps him get accepted by Thomas, and to get Logan to realize Remus loves him as a payment for allowing him to vent - D

One of the few instances where I can stand platonic moduke/intruality-

But really this is soft but also hurts my heart a bit with those undertones of angst
