Why visit Svalbard in winter? When you could go to a tropical beach or all inclusive ski resort for like half the price? I received this particular question pretty often. What if I told you, Svalbard in winter is a place of pure exploration. Where the chaos of the arctic storms meets the calmness of the polar nights, while the bright colors of the auroras dance in the skies above. What if I told you, Svalbard in winter is a place of contrasts. Where the cold of the north meets the warmth of people welcoming you. What if I told you, Svalbard in winter is an experience, so extraordinary, it can't be compared to anything you've ever seen before. Where the soft blanket of fresh snow meets the rocky and harsh mountains around. Would you still ask me, why I decided to go there? Or would you reconsider going to a warm place yet again? Guys! Mark your calendar! Only 10 days left until the official release date of POLAR NIGHTS! Finally again a big book with an exciting new story about Anna and Elsa, after all the long wait for something really new in fandom. Can’t wait to finally hold the book in my hands.
And in the end my theory about the Northuldra's participation in the book in this post (https://www.tumblr.com/blog/view/ericmicael/669224199935623168?source=share) turned out to be correct as option 2 "HAVING SO MINIMUM PARTICIPATION THAT IT IS RIDICULOUS" (the tribe is basically away from Arendelle doing something else at the moment and it's that), at least of the lesser evils.
And it also looks like nothing happened against the existence of the ElsMaren, as the phrase Honeymaren in "Disney Magic Kingdoms" is technically canon now.
In the book it is mentioned that Honeymaren, Ryder and the other Northuldras are showing Elsa the Enchanted Forest (https://www.tumblr.com/blog/view/true--north/689825402464747520?source=share). In "Diney Magic Kingdoms" Ryder also wants to do the same with Elsa, show her the forest (”Elsa's never been to these woods before. I wonder if she'd let me show her around?”, “I could show her the lichen meadows or the reindeer stomping grounds...”), but there's a detail: Honeymaren arrives first and he is completely ignored by the two (Note from Honeymaren: ”Gone exploring with Elsa. Be back later.").
It reminds me again of that interview of Kristen Bell being asked about ElsaMaren, in the interview she also put Ryder as one of the options available in the Enchanted Forest besides Honeymaren if Elsa wants romance.
At least in “Disney Magic Kingdoms” I think Elsa has a preference.
With confirmation that the Northuldras will not have any major role in the book, does that mean there really is something odd? Honestly, perhaps, in their two most relevant appearances that take place after the second film, they repeat their participation. The Northuldra tribe has a lot of potential and it is sad that it is not being put to good use.
A certain detail on this topic is that I asked Mari Mancusi if the Northuldras would have a relevant participation, the answer could be “yes” or “no”, but she just said that she had to ask permission and never answered that question.
I don't believe the crazy theories about the absence of the Northuldra tribe, but I do believe that there is actually something about this matter that has not been revealed to the public.
