imagine— Theo has bought back all the fake furniture & the painting is back in the museum. he’s even broken up with Kitsey! things are somehow still cool between him & Mrs. Barbour. & he & Hobie are closer than ever. things are still kinda weird with Pippa, but so it goes. oh & Popchyk is doing alright! though he never got totally used to the hustle & bustle of New York, & he forever misses his other dad.

whenever Boris facetimes Theo (Boris insists, so he can see his baby!), Popchyk freaks out with joy just to hear his voice! Theo rolls his eyes, but it’s nice to see the little old dog so animated.

“He misses his Papa!” Boris whines. “Too much food & no play with you! He is fat &—“

“Come here then. Visit him & prove what a great dad you are, you deadbeat.”

“Am not deadbeat!” Boris cries. “Am very much alive &—“

Theo hangs up.

Boris texts: ?????!!!! 🐶💔😭TELL POPCHYK THAT WAS YOU!! HIS PAPA LOVES HIM!!!!!! TELL HIM I COME SOON.

& much to Theo’s surprise, he does.

sooo then Boris convinces Theo to get a place with him in upstate NY “for Popchyk” because it will be quieter & nicer there for him, & doesn’t he deserve that at the end of his life?

Theo ends up agreeing to all Boris’ plans, supposedly all for Popchyk’s benefit, but alsooo how could he resist basically being Boris’ husband & moving to a beautiful house in a quiet, quaint neighborhood? it’s everything he can’t admit he wants, but he can have now, thanks to Popchyk!

Found this at the (now abandoned) circus grounds. No idea if it was there all along, but finding it now that Popper is gone made me quite sad. I hope he gets lots of treatos wherever he is.
