The last several years of Years in Review while I start putting together the review for this year!

I started getting serious about my art in 2015, really pushed to sell my art in 2016, did really well creating and selling and finding a voice in 2017, and then lost it all in 2018, which was a really hard year for me! I really got set back a lot as far as mental health and art goes that year.

In 2019 I decided I needed to go to school, and started that spring. We all know what happened in 2020, and 2021 was a whirlwind of a year for me that had a lot of big life changes.

2022 was an amazing year of healing, learning, and growth for me! I did a lot of work on myself.

2023 has been really interesting and I'm excited to put together my review!

After having the conversation multiple times about how many people (myself included) had stopped writing for years until the Sandman on Netflix came along and grabbed us by the neck.

And after watching the screaming reactions to Good Omens season 2, (and all the meta and analysis and thoughts about plot structure, and suggestions for what makes sense for season 3.)

I have decided that Neil Gaiman's secret agenda is not the screaming or the angst.

I think his secret agenda is to make us all WRITE.

idk man my sense of masculinity is built upon joy and strong hugs and big laughs and protecting the people around me by drawing the attention of assholes to myself. when I was younger I used to go for the "brood and be grumpy" shtick, and it just made me and the people around me feel bad. I think my power now is in the ability to unwaveringly be a silly goofy guy. I want to bring laughter & love to a space. and obviously that's not a uniquely masculine trait (there's no such thing) but it's one of the biggest factors in how I experience my transmasc gender. god. I love being big and loud and full of love. promise me you won't be afraid to be bold?
